There’s always That One Friend who you pass by in the market across the street or at the cafe you frequent before work. This one friend is always sweet–a kind soul you can trust for some intelligent conversation or to sit in silence with. 

Whether you’re married with kids or dating your long-term partner something in you tends to wander. Your mind drifts to That One Friend who you know would have picked up on your silence. They would have reached over the table to hold your hand as they demanded you tell them what was wrong–letting their worried eyes never leave yours as they searched the troubled depths of your own. 

There’s just something about That One Friend who has you daydreaming about what it’d be like to be with them instead. A dark sliver of you that entertains the idea of straying from where you're trapped but you’ll shoot that down…eventually. While you’re certain you love That One Friend you do love your significant other even if they stopped saying ‘I love you.’ It would be wrong to betray them for That One Friend—who can verbally assure you that they care. Who makes an effort to tell you how much they care about you daily. Besides it’d be wrong to base a betrayal on only a side of That One Friend. 

For all you know, they could be just being a good friend–showing a side of themself that you need. Besides they have their business or another partner or their long distance relationship so even if you were brave enough to confess your little crush to that dear One Friend it would never work out. 

So when it’s finally decided that you’ll shut down these invasive feelings put more time in improving your current relationship. You’ll limit yourself from That One Friend if only to get it into your brain that they’re just not an option. Diving into work, trying with your partner, spending more time with your kids, or just visiting a different place for lunch. You’ll make an excuse when That One Friend starts catching on and hope that they don’t take offense. Finding a steady routine that no longer relies on That One Friend. 

But that all goes to shambles when something terrible happens to your significant other. A car crash, leaking gas pipe, or a mysterious drive-by shooting—they’re gone. Your world–as dysfunctional as it already was—comes crashing down. Since you can’t fall because of your kids or because you worry you’ll never begin to bring yourself up again you have no choice but to rely on That One Friend. 

That One Friend who is at your apartment the second they’ve learned what’s happened. That One Friend who comes along with you to the police station when you promise that there’s foul play. That One Friend who cooks and cleans when you just don’t feel like moving. That One Friend who will even invite you, your kids, or your pets into their home so they can look after you because they are just so worried.

That One Friend who licks their lips as they watch you curl into their bed wearing the hoodie they let you borrow. That One Friend who invites your kids to call them something closer than their first name. That One Friend who reminds you to eat while you obsess over your significant other’s case. That One Friend who encourages you to cuddle with them since you’ve been having so much trouble sleeping. 

That One Friend who has been waiting for the perfect opportunity to get them back on your market. That One Friend who is like a predator lying in wait as it becomes years before you start wanting to date again. That One Friend who will make sure they’re narrowly injured on a train accident so that their emergency contact–you comes running and kisses their forehead because you were so scared. That One Friend who knows it’ll be a matter of time before you accept or propose yourself. 

That One Friend who can’t help but relish in the way you’re attention and love belong to them. 

And That One Friend will do anything to make that happen.

- kinda bad at cooking. his way of slicing and dicing vegetables is very mediocre if not clumsy looking. there are days where his cooking is acceptable and days where it's to seasoned or too bland (always convinces himself its good tho and posts it on his devilgram)

- though he's kinda bad at cooking, his baking skills are okay! his favorite pastry to make are cookies because he can design them the most.

- "ofcourse mc! you'll always be the first one to try my desserts! unless you want to taste something else?~ ♡"

- he has a collection of sanrios, hironos and sonny angels in his room. ESPECIALLY sonny angels. crazy thing is he always gets them for free from his fans and its always the limited edition ones

- he really enjoys watching old movies from the human world especially the romcoms. mean girls, notting hill, pitch perfect. he will pester you to rewatch it with him even though you guys have seen it multiple times already.

- he keeps a small jewelry box in his room but instead of jewelry its full of pics of you and him and the gifts you give him. theres some pics in there where the other brothers were cut or crossed out so it'll be just you and him lmfao

- he is a yandere and i stand by this. it's not as obvious but if he's really into you he'll constantly mark you with his scent and the stuff he wears. he'll leave a hickey or a bite mark if you're lucky ;)

- the type of guy to only bring a purse to school. if you ask for a pencil the bitch is gonna open his bag and say "oopsie! i only brought my makeup pouch and mirror today. sorry babe!"

- has his own private concert in showers every goddamn day

- he'll either fangirl with you about celebrities or he'll get extremely jealous because you're simping for someone else.

☆ levi:

- sometimes his ass crack will be on display when he's sitting down on the floor

- wears booty shorts religiously. sometimes he'll casually just walk out his room wearing a hoodie and booty shorts with prints on it

- has a tumblr account where he posts a bunch of hc, drabbles and other shit and until now no one knows its him

- had an amino and discord phase where he always roleplayed with other people. till this day it haunts him at night

- he livestreams twice a week on twitch and has been scolded by lucifer on stream once. there was also a time where mammon barged in his room half naked and suddenly all the views went up 10x

- trolls on roblox like it's a 9 to 5 job

- every once in a while he'll stay in lucifers room while lucifer is doing paperwork. he'll just lay down on his bed, watch and play games and even fall asleep

- makes his own persona in every fandom he gets into and writes very detailed backstories (dw levi, same)

- only reads "x reader" fics for obvious reasons

- went insane because human world games and animes are better than the ones in devildom. dont get me started about aot. (his favorite is levi ackerman obvi)

- wishes he could get piercings but since he's the demon prince's butler he obviously can't

- started tweakin when you said some humans keep rats and bugs as pets. like he stopped polishing some plates and looked at you like you just dog shitted diavolo's name

- really enjoys your spotify playlist filled with metalhead and grunge songs. he really likes slipknot

- likes to order those cute, fancy tea sets when he has the time. when you gifted him tea leaves and a limited edition teapot set his love for you sky rocketed.

- gets annoyed when solomon manspreads

- has a really good voice when he sings. he used to sing diavolo lullabies when his father would get angry at him

- scrolls through levi and mammon's post for educational purposes cuz he wants to learn slangs just incase diavolo asks him what a specific word means

- "barbatos, what does 'runnin from da opps' mean?"

- "my lord, 'runnin from da opps' is a slang made by the new generation. it means fleeing from your haters."

- loves to tailor and iron his bed sheets so he can have a peaceful rest after a long day of non stop errands.

10. Diavolo, after meeting Lucifer for the first time, Lucifer tries his best to act like an ass to make Diavolo hate him but Diavolo still treats him kindly. Lucifer despises Diavolo at the moment because he's a Demon who according to Lucifer & the Celestial Realm can't even have a "well-ordered society". Diavolo somehow in a single night manages to form a crack in Lucifer's prejudices & make him doubt his Father who he holds in very high esteem. Diavolo also uses chess to prove his point about creating peace and a balance between the three worlds. This is the conversation that follows:

Lucifer (an angel): I see. ...Diavolo. Your strategy truly is fascinating. Do you think we could get together sometime? I'd like to learn more about it.

Diavolo: Are you talking about chess now? Or the nature of our relationship?

Lucifer: Heh...

^The ambiguity Lucifer uses when talking gives that old queer feeling of: Our relationship (whatever it may be) is very forbidden and anyone catching wind of it will be bad so for plausible deniability I'm going to tie the true meaning of this conversation to something more innocuous

11. Conversation they have after this^ flashback/particular conversation:

Diavolo: ...That's when you finally held out your hand to me, and we shook. The way you radiated charm as you smiled at me. I still remember it like it was yesterday. When I saw the look on your face I was convinced. You were fair and righteous, someone who would be able to lend an ear to anyone, to listen to what they had to say. Someone who had a truly beautiful spirit.

In other words Diavolo has the worst case of rose-tinted glasses, specially considering Lucifer was choking Mammon & trying to rip his arm of while Diavolo said all this.

12. Diavolo (in demon form): Back when he was an angel, he was so divine, so awe-inspiring that it was intimidating. But now he's attractive in a different sort of way. He draws your eye toward him and then doesn't let go. He truly is worthy of the moniker "Morning Star"! Even steeped in the darkness of the Devildom, he shines just as brilliantly as ever!

Malleus rant where I shall be calling him Mal or Mal-Mal

I feel like all of the beast men/animal fae in TWST would love a constantly cold significant other. And I'm totally basing this off of myself but I love to steal hoodies and clothes (especially oversized ones) and cuddle. And I'm cold all the time which makes me want to do it MORE And all of those characters have heightened senses of smell, and I feel like they'd all be possessive af due to the animal instincts and such. So constantly old partner = cuddles AND stolen clothes which then = partner smelling like them all the time PLUS partner obviously being theirs due to having their clothes as a mark for those who DON'T have that weighted sense of smell.

I also just like the thought of giant pouty boyfriend pulling tiny sleepy boyfriend into lap for cuddles because he's feeling possessive and wants tiny to smell like him and also snuggles. (I'm...gonna need someone to draw Mal-mal doing that.... If you do draw it tag me pleaseeee)

Also Mal's mood effects the weather so imagine someone flirting with you and then suddenly hearing really loud thunder and lightning strikes down really close to you and the person and you turn around and BOOM pouty dragon boyfriend. He's so oblivious and kinda stupid I love him so much, If you said "we should go out on a coffee date, how does 10 tomorrow work for you?" He would answer that that's too many.

Running up to Mal and being excited about something and wanting to share it with him!!!! And then the sky starts getting clearer and the sun shines brighter as you stay around him!!!! And then Sebek starts yelling at you for being improper and you get sad!!! And then it gets cloudy and Mal GLARES at Sebek so he shuts the fuck up!!! And Mal tells you to continue!!!! An it gets sunny again as you get excited again!!!

Listening to Mal talk about gargoyles for hours and being interested in them too and being happy to learn about them!!!! Joining Malleus's gargoyles appreciation club and being the only two members!!!! Walking around looking at the gargoyles all over campus and talking about them!!!! Drawing them with him!!!!! Ughhhhhhh I love this maaaaannnnn!!!!!!

A Sad Goodbye (Obey Me!) sad fic

content: After failing to nurse a sick cat back to health, Magdeline helps Satan say good bye. Established relationships, death, comforting someone.

Satan stared down at the meager little grave. While his pact human set a stone marker at the grave to soon wipe at her eyes. They had found an injured and very pregnant cat last week to bring her to the House of Lamentation. Lucifer had not even had the chance to say a word of protest before Magdeline had shut him down with her meek yet unbending insistence. So the past week had been spent with Satan and Magdeline caring for the injured cat. Two days ago the cat had gone into labor. Simeon and Luke rushing over with Solomon to help with the delivery and caring for the newborn kittens. There had been three in all. Healthy and big for Luke and Simeon to see to their feedings and bath times at Purgatory Hall as Solomon stayed with the mother. The former king sitting with Satan and Magdeline as the mother got worse and worse.

The mother had passed away early this morning. Satan having held her close during the night for her to be cold in his arms when he woke up. Solomon had been very gentle to wrap the body in a silken shroud as Lucifer saw to a space in their back garden. So Magdeline had cried all morning for the brothers to stay close to her as well as Satan. But now that they had lain the cat to rest, Satan was left at a loss on what to do next. His tears finally falling for him to just stand there and stare at the grave marker. But soon, Magdeline walked over to sit them down and hold Satan close. The both of them crying hard as the Avatar of Wrath asked with barely heard words, "What did I do wrong? Surely there was a way to save her? So why is she dead? I didn't want to say good bye..."

Magdeline sobbed as Satan also gave in to his grief. But then Simeon and Luke soon joined the hug to also be crying. Little Luke openly sniffling as Simeon gave Magdeline gentle pats to her head. Which gave her the strength to speak up and say what they all knew deep in their hearts. "We did all we could. But death is part of life. She was given love in her final moments. I am sure that she went to Heaven. I know that demons don't have the best opinion on God. But I believe that God took her home. So she's in a good place. We may miss her. But we shouldn't be sad for her, Satan." Luke nodded to give Satan a smile despite the tears streaming down his cheeks. So Satan felt a kind of peace wash over his heart as Simeon gave a prayer in Latin. Magdeline reaching up to wipe at Satan's tears with the sleeve of her hoodie. So the demon bowed his head to sigh and accept the love and truth offered with a simple, "Thank you..."

in summary: hot pink bitch named breakfast lunafreya.

in long: low-flying angel with no aspirations <3 (main attributes are sloth/envy/lust) keeps his hair rlly long (like. it probably goes down to his mid-back at it's shortest when he doesn't have it tied back into the dual ponytail style he usually does). kinda guy who hates complex clothing and 100% just throws on casual stuff that's at least marginally clean from off his floor. (guy rocks a nice hoodie and sweatpant style) but also loves accessorizing and has a lot of cute accessories <3 his earrings are usually hidden by his hair when it's tied up but he has a large collection, along with a ton of hairpins and the like. rarely wears anything on his neck aside from his collar (and later the bell) but has a lot of bracelets and whatnot.

before he falls (which happens around the time he trades his collar/choker out for a bell that belphie gave him) his halo is dim and cracked, and his wings are always black even after he falls bc. dude does not care. 100% is on the edge of falling even before he goes to the devildom. afterwards he gets horns akin to belphies (altho they take awhile to grow in) and a lil heart-shaped tail <3

LUCIFER

- Whenever he makes coffee for himself, he always makes some for you, and makes sure its exactly the way you like it. (If you like hot chocolate or tea he takes the time to make it too)

- He makes sure at least one corner of his desk is always clear, so if hes working and you're just popping in, you can sit there for a moment (if its more than give minutes, he expects you to come sit on his lap instead)

- Likes to help you put your shoes on. Idk why. He just does.

- Hes a bit of a himbo, so instead of using a dryer, when you go into the shower, he keeps your clothes warm by stuffing them under his shirt
