Before you could finish your sentence, Wade bolted from his spot across the room, and clung onto your other side as he nuzzled his head against your chest, his arms latching onto you waist just beneath Logan’s own arms. ‘Thought you’d never ask sweet cheeks!’ Wade replied as he peppered kisses across your collar bones, causing your to giggle as you ran your free hand up and down his back soothingly, now feeling happy and content with both men that you love dearly being cuddled up on either side of you.

‘Good. I don’t want you to ever think I don’t love either of you because I do.’ You said as you kissed both Wade and Logan on their foreheads, noses and finally their lips as Logan sluggishly reciprocated his kiss in due to being half asleep, just as Wade almost devoured you eagerly with his own kiss.

‘I think we both know that very well peanut, and we love you all the more for it.’ Wade uttered softly as he made himself comfortable against your side, feeling his eyelids grow heavier. Wade knee you’d never made him feel jealous, not intentionally nor accidentally, but sometimes he felt a little lost whenever you spent just a small fraction more time with Logan over him. He just wants so time with you too! And so now as he burrows his head under your chin, ready to drift off, he couldn’t help but reach a hand over to squeeze Logan’s firm ass; only to find that he was one step ahead of him and quickly gripped his wrist.

‘I wouldn’t think about it bub.’ Logan murmured.

‘How is he doing that with his eyes closed.’ Wade whispered to you as you both looked at Logan as he dropped wade’s hand.

‘It’s a mystery we’ll never find out sweetheart.’ You replied as you kissed Wade on the forehead, giving his ass a little pat and a loving squeeze. You knew Wade expresses his affection in rather bold ways but only did so as long as it alright with you and Logan. He didn’t want to put you out of your comfort zone to accommodate him but you weren’t so easily fazed by his actions, not when you have been friends with him as long as you have been partners. So needless to say it wasn’t at all surprising when you suddenly picked up Wade’s tendency to squeeze and or slap your partners asses affectionately.

Much to Logan’s dismay no less but he took it in stride for your sake and occasionally Wade’s but mainly yours.

‘The author must’ve gotten pretty lazy or had a brain fart if this is how the fanfic ends.’ Wade yawns, ‘i could’ve done a far better job that’s for sure.’ He adds before falling asleep. meanwhile you stayed up wondering who the fuck this ‘author’ he was on about, and what did he mean by ‘fanfic?’

My views on Gon's rage scene!! 🤓🫶

Let's get this out of the way first— is Gon a selfish monster?

Let me show some nuance in his rage scene and tunnel vision onto Pitou, how he hurt Killua, and his threats on an innocent girl.

Even while filled with rage to the point of almost losing himself and dealing a killing blow to Morel at that phase of his life, he was still worried about Palm's safety and one of the first to realize the inherent danger Knuckle and Meleoron were in on that staircase and the possibility of Youpi not having an oppenent.

He still had the wit and the care for his comrades.

And when Knuckle came on screen while Gon was actively seething in front of Pitou, he still made an effort to let Knuckle know that Pouf was a liar.

So we saw two little scenes where Gon showed that despite his rage and goal, he still put time aside to help his comrades. In the middle of all the anger, all the guilt, and the bloodthirst— he didn't forget his bros.

We already know he did wrong things. Threatening Komugi was very shocking, but as I've mentioned in my Gon character study— it was a moment of anger, confused morals and desperation to keep the monster in control.

With that out the way, let's get to the main course... How he hurt Killua.

Killua wants to be relied on, no matter the cost. He wants this to be like the volleyball match where Gon could only rely on him regardless of how much pain it could cause Killua— he wants them to go down in flames together, a "lover's suicide" as the original Japanese text says.

He wants to be proven to once more that Gon needs him and no one else, that he can't go alone. Killua needs to feel important that way, he needs to feel worthwhile, that he can do something for his best friend to help him the way no one else can.

Gon going off on his own like that broke that source of comfort and self worth Killua had created in Gon needing him.

And if anything, I think it was very important for Killua's character.

It was incredibly important for Killua to be pushed away at that moment, to not be allowed to sacrifice himself, and in turn get the time to rethink what he needs and wants to do with his life and his views on friendship.

And having to clean up an impossible mess after him put into perspective just how important Killua is, and that's why he was so adament on being the one to save Gon.

It's honestly such an interesting scene— It's not like Killua suddenly did a 180, but something this severe and seeing Gon's immature side and flaws on display more had a huge hand in his character development.

That's Killua's side, what about Gon's? We know both of them love each other dearly, and while Killua wished to go down with him, Gon wanted to be the one to carry that burden. Alone.

"I killed him."

Even though Killua was there too, and blamed himself as well. Gon didn't consider him responsible at all despite him running away as well, and Killua saying so.

And Gon comforts Killua, and himself.

As much as Killua sees Gon as the light, Gon sees him as the voice of reason. His awesome, smart friend who does no wrong— both have each other on a pedestal.

Though blinded by confusion and rage during the fight, he undervalued Killua's judgment, but still listened enough to wait for Pitou to finish healing Komugi.

And I also believe Gon was saving up his rage for that moment.

It was his battle, because it's his fault. Killua has no business because not only did Kite not hold as much importance to him, but because he had no fault in the matter— Killua didn't need to sacrifice himself again.

So, while Killua was willing to die alongside his friend and carry the burden together, Gon wanted to be the only one sacrificing himself and carrying that burden. He said so in the Yorknew city arc, and he proved it in the CAA.

He loves Killua, and it even shows in his harsher and cruel words.

Darling escapes and has a child with someone else

Uzumaki Naruto & Haruno Sakura

🍜​🌸​Escaping those two would be quite a difficult achievement considering that Naruto is the Hokage and Sakura helps him quite a lot considering that she has experience assissting the leader of a village as her mentor used to be the Fifth Hokage. As the darling of those two there is obviously going to be some security involved as neither of those two would be careless enough to assume that even with the dawn of a more peaceful era everything will be safe for you. They aren't as oppressing as some other characters would be though which leaves some holes and cracks that their darling can potentially exploit to plot her escape. Both have their busy days working after all which is arguably going to be your best shot to flee. News still reach their ears very fast though. For Sakura reality settles in faster than for Naruto though as he is much more delusional than she is. The Seventh Hokage is vehemently denying reality as he tries to argue with the Anbu who delivered the news to him that they must have overlooked something. You wouldn't leave Sakura and him behind. You love both of them after all. This-this was supposed to be the beginning of a new era where you could be happy with him and her.

🍜​🌸​Over and over again he denies their words even as tears start evading his vision. It's Sakura who finally puts the dagger through his heart as she cannot bear to watch one of her oldest friends going through such desperate denial. Her voice is stern and firm as sh cuts Naruto off, only the slightest shiver in her breath betraying her composure as she tells him that you have run away on your own accord. It's the shimmer of hurt in her own green eyes that finally end in Naruto breaking out in tears and seeing him in this state results in Sakura dismissing all the other Anbu in the room. She ends up staying with him for the entirety of his emotional breakdown, her own defenses weakening until she too starts crying now that there is no reason for her to pretend to be alright anymore. The question of why you ran away and what he and Sakura could have done better to make you stay haunt Naruto as he searches for you the following years. He works tirelessly each day, desperately hoping to find you with each new dawn and ask you himself what he needs to do to fix this situation. Sakura scolds him for neglecting his health but truth is that she herself isn't holding up to her lectures either.

🍜​🌸​As soon as you are found Naruto insists that Sakura and him should be the ones talking to you. He wants answers. He needs answers. For the first time in years though he feels a semblance of happiness again with the prospect that you have finally been found and with a new determination to repair the situation between you three so that things can return the way he always perceived them within his mind. That smile of relief and joy crumbles though when he spots you with the child and its father whilst Sakura can only stare, feeling hurt and betrayed. Yes, she knows that sometimes her and Naruto can be too much but that doesn't change the fact that both of them love you dearly. Naruto ends up shedding silent tears this time though, unable to deny this situation right in front of him. Instead he asks you with a heartbroken look in his eyes if Sakura and him weren't enough for you and if they could have done anything differently so that this all never would have happened. His blue eyes only fill with some semblance of rage when they meet the gaze of the father of your child. After all in his mind there is no one who could love you as much as Sakura and him could.

🍜​🌸​There is some part within both of their hearts that considers for one short moment to take you and the child and leave the man behind. However, neither of those two is able to do that. Sakura has seen enough orphaned children after the war to know how they feel when losing a parent and Naruto himself grew up without any parents to begin with. So begrudgingly he decides to take the unfamiliar man with him though he ignores him the entire time when he talks to you, wanting to tell you about all the advances that were made during your absence. Whilst the father of your child isn't murdered as neither of them would be that cold-hearted, pressure is on and Naruto and Sakura subtly fuel that. After all in the eyes of every citizen an ordinary guy could harldy compare to two heroes from the Leaf Village. Your partner is constantly judged which takes its toll on him over time. Additionally Sakura suggests to keep him busy with work so that Naruto and her can inser themselves into your life as well as the life of your child more. That child has never been hated after all as both just decide wordlessly to love them as their own child and both of them are terrifyingly good with your kid.

Natsu Dragneel & Lucy Heartfilia

🔥​🗝️​There is a higher degree of freedom involved with those two unless it is an absolute emergency. Natsu and Lucy are much more harmless in comparison to some other options within the Fairy Tail cast. That doesn't mean by any means that it is an easy walk to escape those two. Natsu's enhanced smell which allows him to track you down, Happy who can fly through the skies to search for you, all their friends who would tell them if you were gone and the fact that both of them very rarely leave you alone. Natsu in particular is very clingy and loves spending time with you and Lucy whilst Lucy at the very least understands the need for privacy, aware that her friend can be very clingy. Still, with a little bit of planning and begging you will find a way to slip away, to be left alone long enough for you to get away from their love which can be a bit too smothering at times. When they realise that you're gone they panic but decide to search for you first with a lot of other guild members helping them. They search and search for hours, their hopes fading with every tick of the clock. Lucy is the first one who starts crying. Natsu attempts to cheer her up, to stay positive but his own tears betray him.

🔥​🗝️​Still, both of them try to never lose hope to find you one day again. They start going on missions in different regions to search for you, both of them sometimes gone for weeks in their tireless quest to find you and bring you back. Optimism sometimes gives away to despair when all gets too much. Truth is that neither one of those two fully understands why you felt the need to escape from them. Lucy may bear some small semblance of understanding as she is half-lucid at least but she knows that Natsu and her always loved you with all their hearts and always only ever treated you with their best. Natsu on the other hand feels the need to be strong whenever he sees someone so incredibly close to his heart faltering, trying to stay strong and positive whilst reassuring Lucy that surely there is an explanation and that everything will turn back to the way it used to be as soon as they have found you. The more time passes though the more taxing it becomes for them as well as their emotions. The usual liveliness that normally surrounds them slowly gets sucked out as Natsu even loses his usual energy to brawl with Gray and Gajell, an alarming sign for the rest of the guild.

🔥​🗝️​The moment they receive a clue about your possible whereabouts they drop everything immediately and travel to the place where you are supposed to live. Lucy is a tad bit more anxious than Natsu is as she fears that you'll reject them the moment you see both of them, Natsu attempts to remain positive like he has always done those last few years. Even within all of his optimism that things will turn out alright between the three of you, the moment he catches a whiff of your scent he already knows what has happened long before the man appears behind you with the small child in his arms. In that moment even he is unable to come up with a light-hearted spin to the sight in front of him all whilst Lucy does her best to swallow back her tears as this sight indirectly confirms her fear of you having moved on from both of them. Ultimately you as well as your lover and the baby are taken back to the guild and the whole way back Natsu doesn't know how to feel nor to act. The scent of someone else clings to you and every whiff he takes renews that pain within his heart. He confesses his inner conflict to Lucy with clenched teeth and a trembling voice who does her best to comfort him.

🔥​🗝️​Peer pressure is very likely in this scenario as well though to a lesser degree. Still, for the entire guild it is a shocking truth dropped on them when they find out that you have had a child with someone else during the years you were gone and there are some whispered words behind your back, some salty slander against the man you chose. The child is almost immediately welcomed though, even by Natsu and Lucy. In fact the kiddo is so often whisked away by someone within the guild that at one point you don't even know where they are until they return giggling with some of the mages of the guild. They grow very quickly attached to the people within the guild which is a nightmare to you, especially Lucy and Natsu spend a lot of time with your kid. You have a hard time explaining to your kid why you do not wish for them to be too close to those two because even you realise that Natsu and Lucy aren't neccessarily bad people, wondering how much your child would understand even if you were to explain everything to them. Natsu never fully learns how to act around the father either, weirdly more possessive and most likely a lot more reckless around that man without injuring him.

Yato

🪙Perhaps it is quite amusing that there is a literal God obsessing over you yet you still have a realistic chance to escape him. Yato isn’t like other gods, he doesn’t have a big palace in the other realm where he could keep you. He needs to earn his money and for that he takes every job offered to him. The poor man is struggling and that is the main reason why you have a shot at escaping him. If you remember to do so that is as you often tend to forget Yato if he’s gone for too long until he returns and the subconscious memories return. Yato, painfully aware of this fact, is all the more clingy as a result. He hates being forgotten, it could literally kill him to be forgotten. But if there is one person he wishes to remember him forever then it would be you, his darling. You plan everything though. A new phone, a suitcase, a ticket to fly abroad as you fear that as a deity of Japan you’d never be free as long as you live here. Then you’re gone. And Yato is left alone as not even the words of Hiyori and Yukine can comfort him. Instead he wishes to be by himself, is gone for days without anyone knowing where he is. He wanders through the city, searching for you as he feels like withering away.

🪙It is likely that some other deities offer him their help. Kofuku volunteers to help in the search for you as she is a very close friend of Yato. Hiyori asks around your neighborhood if anyone is any information about your current whereabouts. Even Kazuma and Bishamon decide to give their helping hands and keep their eyes open for you. Hiyori is the most successful of them all yet the news she delivers are only fuel to the growing pit in his stomach. You’ve gone abroad. You’re no longer in Japan and as a deity created in this land Yato is bound to it. He cannot follow you to the place that you went. He falls into another depressive hole after the news, doesn’t feel motivated to earn his coins as he just spends his time silently drowning in his heartbreak. Deep down he understands why you decided to escape from him, at least partially. Both of you are of completely different worlds and he knows how overbearing he tends to be. But can you blame him? Always, without a fail, he is the one left behind in the past, damned to be forgotten. He just didn’t want you, the one person his heart has learned to love, to erase him from your mind. But now that you’re gone it’ll inevitably happen. Truly, his fate is one marked with misery.

🪙Sometimes he feels like giving in to his defeatism. To just wait until he too evaporates like some other deities before him did. However, it isn’t within his character to give up. His friends wouldn’t let him get tempted by his sorrow either as they drag him out, push him forward so he doesn’t stay behind. So Yato tries to move on yet a forever existence entails that the pain will forever live in his heart, heavy chains around his soul that steal the liveliness of his personality. It is hard for him to keep dreaming about millions of followers and a big shrine as the core of his dreams has disappeared just like that. Each year that passes reminds him of your fleeting human life, of your lifespan burning away like a candle. Until you one day return. A few years older yet still beautiful. It could have been a truly magical moment if it wouldn’t have been for the man next to you and the little child clinging to you. A bitter taste rots on his tongue, a wave of jealous despair washes over him as he gazes at the child you have with this man and it isn’t until Yukine points it out to him that Yato realizes that he has started crying. Hot tears spill down his pale cheeks, the betrayal stinging so terribly as he suddenly rushes over to you.

🪙The confused glimmer in your eyes almost threatens to break him as he begs for you to remember him. It takes you a minute of sheer agony that threatens to tip him over the edge until suddenly your eyes widen. There’s panic and horror but at least you now recognise him. That’s enough. For now at least. However, things have only just begun. In the years you have been gone you have birth to a child, a visible reminder of the passage of time. To Yato a human life burns away like a firework, gone in the blink of an eye. Fearful to lose you to your own mortality as well, he’s decided to search for ways to bind your lifespan to his own so that you may never wither away like a flower in fall. However, your child and your lover will not receive such a gift from him. Yato won’t harm them simply because he understands that they will pass away within the next few decades whilst you will remain by his side. Both of them will naturally leave your side so there is no reason for him to speed things up. Sometimes he does feel like threatening your lover out of jealousy and insecurity but he holds back. He feels sorry for the child though, he quite likes the kid even though he isn’t the father. However, unfortunately he can only tie his life to one other person.

Maka Albarn

💚​Maka is of a sharp mind and filled with the quiet determination to be someone better than her father who never was a loyal husband to her mother. As strong as she may appear, she carries lots of insecurities but refuses to let everyone in on it as she wishes to prove herself. It's precisely because she knows that you do not think well of her that she keeps all of her own thoughts to herself as she understands that you wouldn't want to hear about her thoughts and feelings in your current dilemma. There's is the feeling of an invisible cliff between the two of you, one that silently torments you yet you are far too fearful to tell Maka who manages to intimidate her with her closed-off behavior. Maka does none of it by a malicious intention though as she instead assumes that perhaps giving you more time to get adjusted to her feelings for you and allowing herself to digest the fact that you actually figured her out will result in a slightly more positive outcome than what the both of you are currently facing. When something is troubling her she tends to throw herself into training, meaning that poor Soul has to endure rigorous hours of training with her as she attempts to focus on something else.

💚​It is the methods she uses to deal with her own problems that gives you the optimal chance to escape. Maka is left feeling like a fool when she has to accept the truth that you fled from her. She knows that her feelings aren't within the norm and she herself is more ashamed than anyone else could ever be of that fact. Yet at the very least she believes that she has never treated you cruelly or neglected you so terribly for others like her own father did to her mother. Still you left and leaves her mind reeling as she wonders if there is something that she has done, something so terrible that you felt the need to sneak away during her absence. For weeks on end she goes through every little interaction between the two of you that she is able to recall as she desperately tries to figure out what it is that repulsed you so much to the point where you left without leaving any trace behind. Her own mental fortress receives great shots, greatly damaged by the end of it yet still stable enough to hold itself together one way or another. That bitter and slimy feeling of failure is embedded within her heart though as she can't shake the thought off that in a way she has exactly become like her father.

💚​Maka deals with her troubles and her own pain the same way she has always done though, by throwing herself into attempting to improve herself and become a better person. Yet no matter what she achieves from that day on it never feels like it is enough to her as the thought of her being a failure that scared you away is forever engraved into her soul. Deep down she craves an explanation from you to know what it is that she should have done better so that she can improve. So that she doesn't end up like her father. But she doesn't know where you are. No one does which only leaves the little maggots of insecurities to blossom within her heart, filling every crevice of her body. When she spots you one day again in the company of a man and a little child she just freezes, her eyes staring at you. Her face remains stoic but her own heart starts racing within her just as much as her mind as so many emotions threaten to spill out that she doesn't even know where to begin and where to stop. The yearning to hear your explanation, to understand exactly why you ran away fills her but at the sight of the family you created she immediately closes her heart.

💚​Immaturity is something she would much rather have to be associated with her father and not herself but she has to admit that it is incredibly difficult to hold back her own bitterness. She knows that you never loved her, that you never promised her anything which is why she can't possibly consider this as cheating. A broken heart is rarely soothed by such logical explanations though. Her tone is arctic, her eyes are sharp and her entire demeanor is harsh whenever she is left alone with your lover. Green eyes are constantly inspecting him with a piercing glance, desperately wanting to figure out what it is about this man that made you fall in love with him as it is what she seems to lack. To your kid she is still quite nice though she stirs somewhat away as she feels awkward and uncomfortable whenever it hits her that this child is the result of your love for another person. At the very least she is mature enough to not show any hostility towards the kid though but this is hardly something she feels like she can be proud of. Part of her heart aches to question you why she isn't enough for you but another part of her is terrified to reveal such neediness and vulnerability to you.

Black Star

⭐​To Black Star the idea of you running away from him is something he is either going to laugh about as a bad joke or get in a brawl over if he is in a bad mood that day. As someone who is quite heavily on the delusional side it is not hard to see why he would never consider such a thing though. In his mind he is after all the only one capable of loving you and protecting you and he is very fierce with this conviction. That is exactly the problem that you have with him though. He is far too much for you, suffocating and smothering with his behavior all because he wishes to impress you and prove to you that he is the only one for you. You've been planning to escape for quite a while already but it is kind of hard due to Black Star's clinginess as he insists that as your hero he should always be with you as dangers may lurk around every corner. As bad as it makes you feel, you realise that you will have to use Tsubaki for your plans if you wish to flee as she is always the one who pulls him away from you and allows you to breathe whenever his clinginess gets too much for you. So you grit your teeth and endure everything for a bit longer until you sense your chance when Tsubaki wants to do you a favor.

⭐​It honestly doesn't even cross his mind at first that you fled. Instead he instantly assumes that you were abducted during his absence and instantly starts rummaging through your house, leaving more chaos behind than the supposed abductor of yours. It is Tsubaki who points out that your clothes are gone, that your hygiene products are nowhere to be found and that a suitcase of yours is gone. She has already figured out what has most likely happened but it is Black Star who stays in vehement denial. You'd never run away from him after all. He is after all your personal hero who will always protect you and keep you safe. So Tsubaki forces herself to stay quiet even if only out of empathy as she follows him around as he runs through the entire village and questions everyone. When more and more answers pile up hinting at your leave by free will his rejection and denial of their words get more serious. Maybe you were blackmailed and that person forced you to leave! Maybe there was an urgent emergency that happened spontanously whic forced you to leave abruptly! All of it are excuses to deny the reality so that he has some lie he can cling to. When Tsubaki tries to stop him from his tireless search he actually snaps at her to not touch him.

⭐​Without a doubt he would break down if he were forced to face the reality that you never once viewed him as your hero that he always wanted to be for you. His whole world would shatter and would leave him questioning who he even is supposed to be. That cannot happen which is why even throughout the years following after your years he always believes that something must have happened to you, that someone took you away from him. The ninja travels far and wide all in his desperation to find you and rescue you. When he eventually finds you in company with a man his brain immediately jumps to the conclusion that this is the person who must have been keeping you forcefully all those years. With a flashy and loud introduction that is so typical for him he announces to the villain that he is now here and that he will rescue you from the man's evil clutches. Only that Tsubaki refuses to transform, shaking her head as Black Star tells her to turn into a weapon so that he can save you. So caught up in his own fantasy of finally rescuing you and receiving your gratitude and love in return has he been up to that point that he notices the child far too late.

⭐​With so much evidence one would think that he would finally falt, that he would finally understand that you were never taken away against your will but left because you didn't love him and wanted to escape his tight grasp. Black Star is far too gone within his own delusions to ever accept such a reality though where he would lose a purpose he has always thought was designed specifically for him when it came to you. So instead he starts believing that the man must have manipulated and hypnotised you as there can be no other explanation to why you wouldn't rush into his arms and express how relieved you are that he has finally found you. It is this delusion that fuels him with an anger that you have never seen before in him as he suddenly challenges the man to a life-or-death match. Tsubaki is horrified, you are horrified but Black Star refuses to back down. He will have his revenge, he will save you from the clutches of this man who has done something to your mind and heart. And after he has done that he will take the kid and you back with him and help you to return to your old self. The child deserves a father who isn't a bad person and who would be better suited than him for that?

Monkey D. Luffy

🍖​Luffy is going to be surprisingly difficult to escape from for two reasons. The first reason is his insane clinginess as he so rarely leaves you alone. For Luffy there is no joy greater than spending time together with the people that he loves, especially when it is you that he spends time with. Every waking and sleeping hour he is pretty much glued to your hips and this slowly takes its toll on you as you just wish to be left alone for one fucking day which seems to be about impossible for Luffy do. Wherever he goes he drags you with him with the rare exception of when there is something dangerous happening. The second reason of why it is going to be so difficult to escape him is because of his crew. Whilst it is to some members of the Strawhat crew obvious that Luffy's feelings aren't exactly within the acceptable bounty the fact remains that all of them are loyal to Luffy which makes you extremely cautious to choose any allies out of fear that they'd stop you or tell Luffy. The most ironic of it all is that Luffy is surprisingly emotionally intelligent. He realises that there is something that eats you up alive on the inside but he is too delusional to recognise that he is the cause.

🍖​The situation presents itself spontanously to you, the circumstances somewhat low which does cause you to be mildly ashamed. It is during a rather ferocious fight that you decide to sneak away and leave the crew behind as everyone is busy with their opponent. Everyone is too preoccupied with their respective fight to notice your absence. It is only once the worst is over that the crew starts noticing that you are missing. When Luffy finally returns with a grin on his face, wanting to smooch you after that difficult battle he is only met with the guilty faces of the others. Initial confusion is pretty soon met with a very bad feeling crawling up his throat as he realises that amongst his crewmates you aren't present. His mind instantly jumps to the worst conclusions of you either being killed or kidnapped. There is no time for those who most likely have the inkling suspicion already to tell him what has most likely happened as he instantly begs them to help him to search for you, to find you. What if you're hurt?? They spend days searching for you on the island and once it is concluded that you're no longer on the island Luffy starts to openly sob. Where are you?

🍖​On every island they stop he keeps searching for you in hopes of finding you, still in firm belief that someone must have taken you. This belief of his makes every day that passes so much more painful to him. If they took you why aren't they trying to get in contact with him and his crew? What is it that they want? Robin, Nami and even Sanji attempt to softly deliver their own suspicions to him but Luffy refuses to listen. After all he remembers your amazement whenever you explored a new island or the laughter you shared with the crew so clearly. Your joy wasn't fake! He isn't even sure if he still wants to find the One Piece as it wouldn't feel right if you aren't there with him. It takes a long couple of years before his crew finally finds you through a tip of another pirate crew, on a secluded island. Luffy lands on the island already mentally prepared to fight someone, to rescue you together with his crew after years of being stolen away from him. Instead he finds you laughing, spinning around a little kid in your arms with a man by your side. It is only when you spot him that he notices the clear fear on your face, his hands suddenly starting to shake. Why are you scared...? It's him...

🍖​It's the usage of a Devil Fruit, right? That's why you're acting so scared of him. Without him even realising it he starts letting his Conqueror Haki slip out, your husband and child instantly fainting all whilst you start feeling dizzy. It takes Zoro to pretty much bark at him to stop what he is doing to snap him out of it, catching you just in time as you fall down as you have just lost all strength in your knees. The last thing you remember is the feeling of his tears on your face as he promises you with a shaky voice that he will find out what happened to you before you too succumb to your unconsciousness. When you wake up you instantly realise that you're on the Thousand Sunny, the feeling of a warm hand clutching you tightly smacking reality into your face. When you weakly turn your head around you notice Luffy sitting next to you, giving you a weak grin as he asks you how you're feeling. You instantly want to know where your child and your husband are, noticing the hurt in Luffy's eyes before he nods and leads you outside. Your child is currently climbing up Franky's robotic body, their eyes filled with amazement whilst your husband sits with Robin, casting you a fearful glance when he notices you...

Portgas D. Ace

❤️‍🔥​Ace is a little bit better off than his younger brother is in regards to his delusional tendencies but that doesn't mean by a long shot that he is completely lucid. He's somewhere in the middle of the spectrum as he is half-half when it comes to the question of how delusional he is. One thing he definitely shares with Luffy though is his suffocating clinginess that becomes more and more apparent the more he falls into his obsession. The reason for it is very different though. Whilst Luffy spends so much time with you because he just loves being together with you, Ace's motives root more from his deep-rooted desperation to find a meaning to his life. As the son of Roger from the youngest age he has always perceived himself as someone the world doesn't want to exist and throughout his whole life he has always struggled to find a reason for why he has the right to live, for why he deserves to be here. One way or another you are made a scapegoat of those insecurities as Ace pours his heart out to you, clings to you as if you can provide him with answers by staying with him and loving him. It's taxing on your own mentality which is why you decide to escape as long as he hasn't introduced you to Whitebeard yet.

❤️‍🔥​You know that as soon as he would introduce you to one of the Four Emperors you would have no chance to flee so as long as you are still living on your island you decide to use the chance, secretly spiking his drink and watching with a mild amount of guilt as he falls asleep. Ace panics as soon as he wakes up and doesn't feel your warmth next to him, his body instantly jolting awake, his heart already throbbing with cold terror. He spends the next few minutes frantically sprinting through every room, calling your name with more and more desperation only to be greeted with a haunting silence. Eventually he slides down against the wall, his vision blurry and his breaths quick and short as he gasps desperately for air. His hands start trembling uncontrollably, hot tears start cascading down his face and heartbroken sobs tear through the oppressing silence, his heart palpations echoing loudly within his own head as he feels like he's about to die. He needs thirty minutes before he feels like he has enough strength again to stand up, slowly returning to your room and rummaging through your shelves before he breaks out into a fresh set of tears when he realises that your clothes are gone.

❤️‍🔥​You left him. Of course you did. What was he even thinking, believing that someone as wonderful as you would ever find it in your heart to love someone as unwanted as him? A part of Ace believes that it is justified. After all he is still capable enough to realise that his love for you has always been very obsessive so perhaps he was just never good enough for you to begin with. None of that quells the wriggly desperation and longing for you though. The truth is that he is in misery without you and everyone notices that. Every time something reminds him of you he is right back into the throes of a panic attack, his mind not under his control as he confesses in between sobs to Marco one day what is tormenting him so much. That's how Whitebeard finds out, that's how the Whitebeard Pirates get involved. And that is how you are found eventually. Ace, as impulsive as ever, instantly hops on his Striker to sail to the island where you have apparently been living for a few years, not even letting Marco finish his explanation. Perhaps he should have just stayed still and listened for once. Maybe then he wouldn't have felt like dying when seeing you in the arms of another man.

❤️‍🔥​Anger. Hot, burning anger just like the flames that he wields. Fire starts erupting from his skin, coating his fists in searing flames as his chest is heaving. For one terrifying moment it looks like he is about to attack the man, already taking the first steps to charge at him until you appear right in front of him, pushing him away. Ace stumbles back, eyes wide and shocked as he gazes at you. Then his eyes finally land on the child, eyes just like yours staring back at him. The tears welling up in their eyes as they look at him finally completely push him over the edge. In the next moment he's down on his knees, clutching at your clothes as he starts sobbing. Every time you attempt to push him away he lets out a hoarse whine, only resulting in his hold on you tightening. Meanwhile the other man has seemed to have gathered enough courage to approach Ace, wanting to defend you only to stagger back in terror when he notices the tattoo on his back. That's when a sudden realisation occurs to Ace. You never told him with whom you were together in the past. He could threaten this man to stay away from you unless he wants to deal with Whitebeard. He could just take you. And the child.

You had been staying in this fucking hotel for months. Did it suck ass? Yes. Did you kind of maybe despise half the people here? Oh, absolutely. But - free place to crash, and it’s not like you were doing much with your days anyways, so the “rehabilitation” excersizes only got positivity-toxic half the time. Plus, Charlie let you skip out on them. Her little girlfriend didn’t though, so you were usually there dejectedly. Not anything worse than your highschool experience. 

But you also had Angel. Anthony. Whatever he let you call him depending on the day. And he was half the reason you stayed here. The amount of times you’ve crawled into bed with him and cried? You hadn’t cared to keep track of anymore. A long day, night - of shooting scenes, and you gently comforted him while he laid tiredly in bed, rubbing his back until he fell asleep. Plus, you liked his pig. You and fat nuggets would hangout whenever he was gone. 

You wouldn’t consider your relationship too romantic, but it was unbelievably supportive. You two didn’t really get intimate, due to his work, he didn’t trust anyone he was intimate with. He told you that that could change, but you reassured him over and over that it didn’t ever have to. You were happy gently comforting him. You were happy drinking with him, you were happy to be around him.

That didn’t mean he was completely touch-adverse, though. You exchanged small pecks on the cheeks, held hands - though not publicly, due to some of his fans obsessive behaviours - cuddled up. Charlie had offered to just let you guys share a room, but you had rejected the idea and shut it down pretty quickly. You loved each other very dearly, but sometimes you just needed space. 

Today wasn’t one of those days, though. You, head resting in his lap as he scrolled on his phone, your 2000s MySpace mix playing softly in the background as you looking through a new catalogue of Hell’s Most Edgy with a marker, circling anything you liked, Fat Nuggets sleeping soundly at Angel’s feet, snoring loudly. But adorably. 

“I have a favor to ask.” Angel mumbled out nervously. He hated asking for anything. Especially from someone he had already asked so much of. But you just nodded silently, circling a new, shiny pair of black platforms, before looking up at him with a small smile. “‘Sup, Webs?” You asked, tilting your head as you sat up properly.

“I - well, Val wants to do this shoot today, but he wants me to do Corpse paint. I don’t know how to do.. that. So I was wondering if you could help me out?” He asks with a nervous smile, only to watch the smile on your face grow wide, nodding excitedly as you hopped quickly off the bed to run to your room to get your makeup, disturbing a now cranky Fat Nuggets, who oinked at Angel before walking over to his bed to fall back to sleep. 

You came back into his room, closing the door quietly behind you, box of white cream foundation and a million sticks of eyeliner and other black makeup pencils, along with some dramatic statement lashes and lash glue, sitting down next to him on the bed on your knees, gesturing for him to sit up with his legs out straight. You straddled him softly, opening your box of makeup.

“So, this feels - kind of gross to put on. Gonna survive that?” You ask with a smile, tilting your head as he nodded with a small chuckle. “I’ve had much worse on my face.” He says with a wink and a smile. “I’ll survive.” He says with a shrug as you brush some of his fluff out of his face, starting to paint the thick white foundering over his pale pink fur, watching him awakward my try to avoid eye contact, hands awkwardly shifting, trying not to touch your thighs.

“You can put your hands on my thighs, it’s okay. I’m not going to initiate anything.” You say reassuringly and watch as one of his pairs of hands rest comfortably on your thighs, the other set holding up a mirror so he can see the work you’re doing. You watch him visibly relax slightly. He always is a little paranoid about people trying to be intimate with him - reasonably so - so you make sure to quietly reassure him in these moments. 

It takes a couple thick layers of the face paint to get his Angel stamp of approval, in which you go in with black eye-safe eyeliner for his eyes, coating them in black and following the image he used as reference, making streaks of black run from his eyes. You pierced your lips together as you leaned back to admire your work. “It’s missing something.” You mumble quietly, before peeking up and pulling out a pair of white lashes from your kit, and he smiles. You let him apply them himself, and with some white underliner, it looks perfect.

You give him some black lipstick, too, but that’s about the extent of what he wants. You give him your old lipstick too, because you and him both know he’s gonna need some re-applying. You watch as he walks over to the mirror, admiring your work - a job well done you’re sure - when he smiles at his reflection and the giddy way you smile back at him through your own reflection.

He pulls you up into a big hug and you giggle as he picks you up and spins you around, before you get him to put you down, smiling from ear to ear at how happy he looks with himself and the work you’ve done. His phone buzzes and he sighs, kissing you softly on the head before heading out, not even daring to put his famous sunglasses on and ruin your work. 

A new memory that’s keeping you sane in these old hotel walls.

He shows affection mostly from acts of service. He would bring you a plate of food, massage you, braid your hair, lift you over his shoulder if he needs to carry you over a river or something etc. Although being the best communicator in the colony, he likes to express his love through his actions.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

He'll have a little soft spot for you, considering you're his only human friend. He's the sort of friend that is quite serious but he'll always treat you with respect. Kind of like in a human friend group, the oldest is wiser, more mature and looks over everyone, making sure they're not doing stupid shit, yeah he's like that as a friend.

He'll be hesitant towards you at first, for obvious reasons, but he'll be more trusting towards you than the other apes. For it to start you need to be respectful of him and his kind.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Big ol' stoic ape king loves his cuddles. Especially when its just you two alone in the nest, with either one of you spooning each other. He loves spooning you because he feels hes protecting you in a way, as well as being able to pull you in realy close to his chest for him to smell your scent. He loves getting spooned because it reminds him of being young again with Will.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Absolutely! Although being the leader of the ape colony, he still priorities you and the family. He's heart would just melt coming home to the nest with you and thhe kids playing around. Although cooking and cleaning isnt a huge thing in the colony, if he has to, he can clean and cook very well, as he was taught lots of 'human activities' when he was younger.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He'll definitely sit you down alone together and have a talk about it. He's a bit hesitant as he doesn't want to hurt your feelings as he still respects you. He understands human break ups are incredibly upsetting so he'll be as gentle about it as possible, cuddling you after if you cry.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He's a date to marry type guy. Doesn't like flings or short term relationships. He prefers very deep, long lasting bonds, so if you date him, be sure for some commitment. Ceasar would want to have a slow relationship build to truly strengthen the relationship before marriage.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Incredibly gentle in all sense. Being both human and his partner, hes sensitive towards you, his touch always being light on your skin and his words warming to your heart.

He doesn't really hug per say, but likes to be touching you. He'll always be pulling you close by his side, or your sides touching when sitting next to each other. He'll hug you on big events but its mostly just lots of touches.

It would take him a long time before he says it. He knows the weight of that word and will say it when he thinks the relationship is at its all time high. When married, he'll sign it to you occasionally, touching foreheads together.

Caesar is a secure and confident ape. He has no worries of other apes trying to steal you away from him, and trusts you enough that you'll be loyal to him.

Face, forehead and the top of your head is where he kisses you the most. After a little kiss he'll touch foreheads with you too🥺 His kisses are a gentle because his lips are a little rouch. He'll also really appreciate you kissing him on his head as well.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He adores kids and is acts quite tender without being overly enthusiastic. He wont go up to a random kid, pick them up and start cooing, no he be like a kind old uncle that smiles at you, or kneels down to greet you. He acts parental to children, and he does seem to smile a little more when theyre around.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Not the biggest morning person, and can be a little grumpy without being outwardly mean. He sleeps later than everyone else and he tries to get up a bit early to, just so he can get ahead of todays task. He'll give you forehead kisses before he goes off.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Hes one of the last people to sleep in the clan, it gives him a sense of relief knowing everyone is asleep and safe. He'll cuddle you if you ask him to, and he'll mostly just watch you sleep. He adores your sleeping face and caress you as you fall deep into dream world.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He's actually not as closed off as people would think of the mighty leader. However, he doesn't usually reveal things unless you ask him about something. He doesn't say anything all at once as well, so you should pry a bit little by little over time.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

It depends on what its about. Usually though, he easily gets angry when humans/apes are disrespectful to rather him or his colony. Hes a big peace advocate and gets really annoyed when others are making disputes around the colony. If he thinks anyone is putting anyone he cares (his family, his colony etc.) about in danger, then he's instantly pissed tf off.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He has an insanely good memory, and locks everything you say into a special little part of his brain. If you say you like something, he'll also try and give them to you as gifts.

You mentioned once a few months ago you liked a specific berry that grew in only one season? Oh shit, a bowl of that exact berries is serves with dinner because its the finally the season it grew in. You liked this certain human object? Oh shit, while he was out scouting an abandoned cabin.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Platonic wise? Realising you were kind for the first time. He doesn't know a lot of good humans, and when he truly saw you as someone could trust, and isnt a danger to his apes, he felt so much relief.

Romantic wise? He cherishes every little thing. Everyday is a new day with different things happening and he loves them all. Your his mate, everything you do with him just makes his heart melt.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He's incredibly protective of everything, especially you when you become his mate. He does trust you enough to do things on your owny he understands your a capable adult and whatnot, but he still gets a little anxious when you're off on your own without him. He's the type to just watch over you. Its not overbearing and he can clearly see when you're in danger.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Hes a busy man, but he still puts in a lot effort for you. He's someone who likes to show his love by his actions rather than his words, so you bet he's pampering you, especially on big events (anniversaries etc.). Again, he does remember details of you, so he uses them in his advantage, trying to decirate the nest with flowers you like, making/finding gifts you like etc.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He doesn't see himself as equal to his apes. As the leader, he sees himself higher and with more authority. Don't get me wrong, he loves his apes. Theyre his family and he'll go through everything for them, he just sees them a bit below him.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He has too many other important matters to think about than his looks. He sometimes gets a bit worried of the fact hes an ape and you, as a human, will find him attractive but other than that, he's not one to care about what he looks like.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

He's a strong ape, both mentally and physically, he knows that he can live his day with or without you there. However, he knows deep down he feels better and like himself with you around. He knows its silly, but he can't help the feeling, of wanting you with him most of the time.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Loves it when you or the apes do human things. For example, if you somehow have a knitting kit or something and you knit/ teach apes to knit, he thinks its the cutest thing ever. He loves seeing his apes being united with peaceful and loving human things, like how he grew up with.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Bad communication. He wants to know whats wrong and how he can help with anything. You and the colony are his priority, and he gets a bit frustrated when people aren't outward with their troubles. If he doesn't know, how can he help?

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Like a log. Mostly on his back with his hands crossed or on his side with his hand under his head. If hes with you, spooning and cuddling wwill always be involved.

Hes always one of the last people to sleep, thoughts keeping him awake. Nothing that could really deprve him of sleep, but youll always fall asleep before him. He snores very lightly too.

So unfortunately one of my things with being a trans man is it’s very very hard for me to be able to envision this perspective and go too in depth with it, because it does end up inducing some weird bubblings of dysphoria (the mother role, not the having a kid thing), but I’m good to go surface level and just sort of headcanon it out if it’s all the same to you anon <3

He actually had no intention of fixating on you whatsoever. Not only were you normal– you were boring.  Just some human mud living your human life.  Not his speed at all.  At least, that’s what he kept telling himself.

See, he could smell it.  He practically salivated the second he got a whiff of your body producing milk.  You were just some desk jockey finally returning after maternity leave, but you caught his eye in mere seconds.

Then he started really paying attention.  Watching through the walls, following you home, watching you pick up that sniveling beast that you fawned over so dearly no matter how loudly it screeched in the middle of the night.  How you didn’t leave the thing for the wolves after the first explosive diaper was beyond him, but the soft, nurturing, kind side of you ensures the wee thing is put back together and content before even once worrying for yourself.

After a while, he can really see it in your eyes.  You’re exhausted.  Barely making ends meet, barely affording the babysitter, barely keeping from keeling over.

He smirks when you miss your stop on the train.  You don’t know he’s sat on the connector between cars, mere feet away, but you don’t have to know that.  You don’t have to know anything like that.  You just need to sit pretty and let him watch.

Just like you really don’t need to worry when you’re cornered in an alley by some filth reeking of alcohol.  You don’t need to fret, because he’s there in a heartbeat, lasering that worthless fuck in two and sweeping you into his safe, strong arms.

Your tears leak against his chest and he swears to hell and back he’ll never allow the costume department to wash away your scent.  He brings you to a roof, makes small talk while you calm down.

“Say, you work at Vought, don’t you? I think I’ve seen you around.”

He thinks he’s so smooth about it.  Like it’d be a mystery the next day when you’ve got a whopping promotion to be his new assistant, complete with a full benefits package including childcare and a salary that nearly has you falling to your knees.

In regards to your question, short answer: YES ABSOLUTELY! I can't help it, it's the romantic in me 😆 And below the cut I'd like to get into the why!

One of the most compelling things about Lotor's character is how ambitious he is. Not only is it a desirable trait in a potential partner, especially from Allura's perspective ;) but it makes his behavior and choices that much more interesting to watch. Although it's hard to say exactly what his endgame was in the show, particularly when it comes to the Altean colonies (we're supposed to believe he was using them as batteries, but to what end??! something still don't add up), there are some things that can be explained, both from actual given information from the show and personal conjectures I've made for myself ^^

Let's start with him becoming emperor. I personally like to believe that he actively wanted the throne. His relationship with other Galra overall is unfortunately not good at all, which you can see in his interactions with other Galra such as Throk and Sendak. But once he is given the opportunity, Lotor puts everything into becoming emperor and making the Galra Empire his. His appearance at the Kral Zera comes as a shock to everyone, and his demanding and domineering regard towards them all is awesome to watch. Plus it's his right! He is the prince after all, so I just love the idea of him coming into his own, demonstrating his birthright and his capabilities, and taking what's rightfully his.

Also what a power move it was to finally make Lotor the emperor in this version of Voltron??! The only other iteration I've seen is DotU, so it is possible that in the other shows and comics he also became emperor, but it's just SO satisfying to watch in VLD this banished, pariah prince quickly become ruler of the most powerful empire in the universe! You love to see it.

After he becomes emperor he takes his title seriously and uses it to acquire one of the things he wants, which is gaining access to the Rift with Allura's help and providing unlimited quintessence for all of the Galra. I'm sure there is more that he wanted to do with it, but again, some things don't add up and we sadly don't have all of the information, so I'm afraid we can only guess from here! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But in the meantime he doesn't take his role as emperor lightly. In his big speech in season 6 he is harsh, demanding, and even threatening. And I am all about it!!!

Don't get me wrong, while I absolutely love kind, soft, and romantic Lotor, I also dearly love cold, devious, and even malicious Lotor as well. You see this a lot with complicated male characters in epic stories: Kylo Ren and Qimir from Star Wars, Paul Atreides from Dune, Michael Corleone from The Godfather, and Sauron from The Rings of Power! What exactly I find so compelling about these kinds of characters can be summed up perfectly in this quote from Dune:

"...the Duke is really two men. One of them I love very much. He's charming, witty, considerate... tender—everything a woman could desire. But the other man is... cold, callous, demanding, selfish—as harsh and cruel as a winter wind."

Lotor's unwielding ambition I think at times can give him tunnel vision, as we can see at the start of season 6 when Lotor wanted Allura to stay and help him with getting quintessence (again, using his resources and title as emperor to pursue what he wants) before Allura reminded him of his duties to his people in the moment. So he can be reasoned with lol!

And so! The reason why I bring all of this up, why I love thinking about the many sides of Lotor and how differently he acts with certain people, the many masks he will wear depending on what he wants, is to invite you to consider how he views his relationship with Allura. His growing feelings for her I'd say are more internalized until the last two episodes of season 5, but until then I like to think that it was never in his plans to get close to her. He wanted to team up with Voltron, yes, but he never could have anticipated falling for the Altean princess ;) What started out as a reluctant alliance and a simple means to accomplish his own end soon blossomed into genuine respect and love.

I have my own ideas as to how I would want Lotor to survive and redeem himself, just as I am certain you and all of us Lotura fans have our own ideas! And they are 1000% valid!!! At its foundation, if Lotor was to live and prove that he can be trusted again, I absolutely believe that he would do everything he could to make things right with Allura. Again, he is ambitious! Once he's decided on something, he will not stop until he's succeeded. If one plan doesn't work he forms a new one. He never gives up. He definitely respects Allura's agency, so of course he would never push her into a relationship with him (looking at you Lance ¬_¬) but I do sincerely believe Lotor would persist in terms of proving to her and the others that he can be trusted as an ally again.

And now we get into Allura's opinion in all of this!! What would she think were Lotor to survive and come back into her life again? And well, I have a really long answer for that too lol! We already see in the series finale how she came to understand Lotor's perspective. We also could see in seasons 5 and 6 how much she really liked him and how head over heels she was for him. Like how adorable was that?? Our girl deserves to be that much in love ;_; After Sincline's return and Lotor appearing in Allura's room in season 8, it is clear that she was still torn up about him, and that she still had feelings for him.

Of course in this context I mean this as a joke lol, but there's truth to it! Because at the end of the day, no one is going to understand Allura like Lotor understands her. Even Coran, who comes from the same planet and circumstances as she, would frequently express his doubts about her decisions. His heart is in the right place, and they have a very sweet father-daughter-type relationship and he just wants to protect her. But he just doesn't get her the way Lotor gets her. Nowadays when I think about the difference between how Coran treats Allura and how Lotor treats Allura, I think of this quote from The Acolyte showrunner:

“'Do you want to be a part of this thing that I'm a part of?' Most fathers do this with their sons and their daughters, but when fathers do it to daughters, it's tricky, in my opinion. When an equal, like The Stranger, like a partner, says, 'I've experienced something, and I think you would benefit from it. I have a similar history to you, and in adulthood, I would lay it at your feet as a possible tool kit for you to pick up and forge your life with, unlike something that's instilled in you the way that your father instilled a lot of your hopes and dreams in you.'”

Though this quote is very specific to Osha's different relationships with Sol and Qimir, I think it applies to Allura, Coran, and Lotor too! Like all parents with their children, Coran has this idea in his head as to what is best for Allura. And I love the man with my whole heart, but it's clear that he would rather keep her safe than let her grow.

Lotor, on the other hand, wants to see Allura grow and thrive. He not only wants to see her reach her full potential, but he also sincerely views her as an equal. They also have so much more in common than they do with literally any other character in the show. He alone can see her power, her potential, her greatness. In turn, he wants to share with her his experiences, his ambitions, as well as his desires. And she is drawn to him in part because of them!

So I genuinely believe that, given enough time, they would both be able to reconcile, to heal the wounds left behind by their hurtful words and their parting, and resume their relationship which had only just begun. Because despite all of the pain they went through and all of the things they said to each other, some of which I'm sure they didn't mean in the moment, they still cared for each other. After all, Allura was the only one who didn't want to leave Lotor behind in the Rift! Between the two of them, the feelings were still there. They never left <3

As more time passes after the show's finale I find more and more things to appreciate about both of Lotor and Allura's characters. I GOT YOU!!! Here's my little fix-it fic, all! Writing this made me feel a bit better because my god I finally brought myself to watching the finale even after knowing all that happened already and wow I was not okay. But perhaps this fic is me turning poison into positivity in my own way? Yeah. Yeah! I'll leave it at that :) This one is a bit shorter but, it's short and sweet, I thinl!

I didn't really want to recount the battle itself, just more-so the aftermath, so please keep that in mind whilst reading in case it feels like I dove in a bit too suddenly and quickly!

My Favorite | Izzy Hands x Reader

Warnings: light angst (but there's fluff GALORE and it ends happily, i swear!), some strong language, brief mentions of being shot, tending to an injury/mentions of injury (non-graphic descriptions)

Word Count: 1481

In your periphery, you couldn't help but notice Izzy suddenly hunched over, clutching his stomach. Everyone else managed to continue charging forward with their weapons, but you had other plans, and knew that both you and Izzy would be better for it. You rushed over to him without any hesitation, slinging his arm around you gently as you ushered him back to the ship as quickly as you could. His breathing staggered and the sound of it motivated you to move even faster.

You managed to rush him back to your quarters; in case the rest of the crew came stumbling onto The Revenge again, you would be able to focus on the most important mission of your life—helping Izzy Hands survive.

"I'm alright, love," Izzy breathed out, looking up at you as you cleaned the wound and prepared to bandage it.

"Clearly, you aren't," you laughed sadly, fighting back tears as you worked.

"You don't have to do this, you know," he sighed as he spotted you scrambling all over the place, very clearly in a panic about all of this. You so badly wanted to stop right there and scold him. You didn't have to do this? Was he fucking kidding? Of course you had to do this, you wanted to do this. You wanted him to be okay, needed him to be. You wanted to take away the harm brought upon him. You wanted to see him live another day and many, many more. You craved to see him go on to send you another one of his not-so-discreet-anymore smiles that got you through the toughest of times. You don't have to do this? How could he be so foolish? He was by far the most intelligent aboard the ship and yet, he still managed to say such a silly thing.

"Did you hear me?"

"Oh, I heard you," you almost seethed. "And once again, I will be ignoring your request."

"You manage to go and do that so much and yet, you're still my favorite," he weakly shook his head as he looked up at the ceiling and laughed under his breath.

You stopped in your tracks, for just a moment. You figured you could—Izzy was all patched up and all that was left to do was sit with him and make sure the bleeding stops and give him food, water, anything else he needed, and you were beyond happy to do so. You needed to be sure he was okay. But what he had just admitted to you earned quite a bit of a shock from you, a shock you couldn't quite process running all around the room. "I'm your favorite?"

He laughed once again, coughing immediately after and reaching to clutch his abdomen once again. You immediately sat down beside him, not realizing you had started to gently touch his cheek. "Isn't that fucking obvious? Everyone else sure as hell knows it."

You couldn't help but laugh yourself. "I guess? I don't know. You're my favorite too, you know."

"Oh, don't bother lying just because I'm injured," Izzy teased, reaching out to flick you in the arm.

"I'm not lying!" you threw your hands up in a playful surrender. "I mean it, Izzy. You know I do. And I don't want anything happening to you. I don't know what I'd do if you..." and with that, the tears began to spill out. Izzy knew there was no use trying to sit up, but he was able to extend his arm around you.

"I signed up for this," he shrugged.

"As long as I'm around, you are not dying any fucking time soon. Okay? You got that?"

Izzy's lips formed a smirk. "I love it when you get feisty."

"Shut up," you rolled your eyes as you giggled. Though suddenly, your expression hardened, and even Izzy noticed you were about to say something of the serious vein. "You really scared me back there, Iz."

Izzy could only sigh—he knew that none of the words he could muster would be enough to relieve you just yet, or even at all. And what was he supposed to say, anyway? That he was sorry he let himself get shot? Sorry that he didn't immediately seek help? Sorry that you had to see that? That he was so fucking exhausted of the life he's made for himself after all?

You made your way over to the foot of the bed, carefully sitting and stroking his leg. "I'm sorry," you suddenly lamented.

"Why are you sorry?"

"You just really scared me. I didn't want to lose you but I don't want you feeling bad about it either because it wasn't your fault you got hurt," you sighed, averting your eyes from his gaze.

Izzy slowly sat up, rubbing your upper back before gently wrapping his arm around you and resting his head upon your shoulder. "I'm not going anywhere, you know. I promise."

"I know," you exhaled. "I just...I could have lost you, and that thought absolutely haunts me every time we raid or duel or see another ship at all, or even just roam about the Republic of Pirates, but I know this is your life and what you're used to and I would never yank you away from—"

"I don't want any of it anymore," Izzy suddenly admitted. "I'm tired. So fucking tired. And I don't even know how many wounds my body can take anymore."

You laughed sadly, craning your head over to look at him once again. Even after the years of suffering and pain that remained on his face at times, he was the most beautiful sight you had ever seen. And, he was healing as of late—you could see that, everyone could see that. "Well, what are you saying? And no, it isn't obvious—"

"I want to live," Izzy assured you. "But not this life. A different one."

"What would that look like to you?"

"I don't know," he whispered, almost ashamed of this answer.

"It's okay not to know. I'm up for anything as long as you are right there beside me," you reassured him as you planted a gentle kiss upon his forehead.

"Really? You'll stay with me?" Izzy asked in disbelief.

"I love you, Izzy. You. Not because you're Blackbeard's first mate, not because you're a pirate. Because you're you. You're Israel Hands. You are clever and caring and proud and you have so much else to offer this world, away from the sea. Beyond all this."

Izzy lifted his arms up from his sides, wincing as he did so, his hands flying back to his abdomen. You smiled softly as you ever so carefully wrapped your arms around him, making sure not to squeeze so tight. One of your hands made its way up to the back of his head as you gently ran your fingers through his hair. You suddenly heard him whimpering and it brought tears to your own eyes. At last, he spoke. "Fuck you."

You couldn't help but giggle as you sat back up once again.

"I love you," Izzy spoke sincerely, hoping with every part of him that this came across. By now, your face was in his hands, and he looked at you in such a way that truly did confirm his tenderness, his endless adoration that he reserved for you and only you.

You knew exactly the response he was searching for. He knew that you had love for him already—you were never exactly subtle about it. And he never exactly minded it. "I know that, Iz. I promise you."

"Suppose we should say goodbye to everyone?"

"We will. I just want to be here with you right now."

"I wouldn't mind that."

You lay down beside Izzy, draping your arm over his chest as you nuzzle your face into the crook of his neck. He hums happily as you do, and he instantly settles into the warmth you provide. Before you know it, your eyes flutter shut and even in your dreams, Izzy Hands is there and you are together and you are living without fear and judgment, and the only thing you're stressing about is what to make for breakfast that day even though he'll always mumble, "Anything will do, darling." Perhaps whatever life the two of you should lead will come to you in your dreams and you will eagerly share these ideas once you awaken. In this moment, you were just grateful to get to spend the rest of your life with none other than him, and it almost didn't matter what endeavors you embarked on alongside one another from this moment forward. You finished the ditty Izzy was humming before you succumbed to the sweet dreams he wished upon you, and you looked forward to your dreams that were about to come true in just a few hours.
