Andre who’s tried cigarettes once— having taken a pack from Chris— and couldn’t do it. He coughed his head off and his chest felt all tight afterward.

Andre who places bandaids over the singes and blames it on Mel biting him or scratching him. He thinks he’s discreet, but when the burns heal, Cal notices the small, circular spots of scar tissue. He asks, but Andre tries to say it’s just marks from his acne.

Andre who doesn’t want to fuck up his lungs before Zero Day.

Andre who feels obligated to stay away from drugs, alcohol, and smoking because he doesn’t want to draw attention to him and Cal before their final mission.

Smoking weed with Cal is an exception, though.
