the anime's unhingedness is even funnier when you remember that the dub aired on disney xd. this shit was airing on disney-
#puppy rambles#yo-kai watch#i know disney xd is for older kids i'm pretty sure#but the fact it managed to air in america baffles me for so many reasons and this is one of them-#the anime is hilarious but it's also really unhinged i mean have you SEEN the manjimutt segments#and that's WITH the dub's censorship#i love how even with the reanimation of the robonyan scene (you know the one i mean) the intent is still clear#and that's why i hate b3-nk1 he makes me uncomfortable </3 though i also have to admit it's pretty fucking funny#i literally do not remember watching that episode as a kid either. i KNOW it's in season 1 and that's all netflix ever had#but i don't remember watching it as a kid??? i mean i don't really remember the sleepover either#âââ i may've just blocked those episodes out actually thinking about it i see a correlating factor here-#the sleepover is hilarious though. the first instance of whisper being extremely susceptible to vacuums#which is like a consistent thing it's hilarious to me. i don't know if it's intentional but he gets vacuumed up so many times-#idk why there's so many vacuums thinking about it??? they use vacuum cleaners a lot for some reason-#idk the anime's kind of a drug trip

I haven't posted any meta or much of anything on this side blog but let me put in my two cents that no one asked me for.
Firstly, yeah, there is gonna be a B plot. It was directly related to the A plot, because it was straight up, not even subtlely, about Athena coming to terms with Bobby's death. The denial and the hope that even if you think is foolish, especially a death so sudden. It also gave us a little glimpse of the impact Bobby had, on these people we've never even seen, that reminds us that Bobby had a whole life, and used his pain to feed his empathy and compassion. It also is just like, the thing about grief is that life doesn't stop. It can't stop, that's not possible. Things keep happening. Time keeps moving. The show has said that repeatedly, from Chimney after the rebar to Eddie dealing with his PTSD to Bobby's literal entire storyline. The characters still exist. They're still moving. They have to learn to live with that grief as they move forward.
Secondly, the episode wasn't solely about Bobby specifically because it was about his impact and his absence. He's gone. There's a Bobby shaped hole now. They could've gone for a full flashback "best of" episode, but the thing that this show has been clear about, to the point that Chimney even says it to Hen, is that funerals are for the living. This episode is about the characters still here. About the anger and unfairness and love lost. That's part of why the hallucination of Bobby acted a little strangely, too - it's not him. And it's not about him. It's about Athena. They didn't do more Bobby-centric flashbacks because that's the past, and the characters have to move forward.
Thirdly, yes, the episode focused heavily on two of characters: Athena and Chimney. They were the ones this narratively hits hardest. That's not to say that the grief felt by any other character is less important; they're all devastated. But this is still a continuation of the story from the two parter, this is the first ripples felt from that.
Athenaâs lost her husband, she's angry and so filled with grief and she's distracting herself. She was letting herself hope, because if this kid isn't dead, maybe Bobby isn't either. She's going to be feeling this for a long time, but she's found her footing again. She's got her kids and friends to lean on. It's actually an interesting foil to Bobbyâs story, because whereas he lost his wife and kids and ended up alone until Athena, this time around he's the one gone, leaving behind a wife and two kids. It's heartbreaking! It's supposed to be! It's a tragedy!
Chimney, on the other hand, is angry at Bobby for not even giving them a chance, even though he still hasn't come up with a way they could've changed anything. He's probably remembering that he asked Bobby to look after Maddie, and realizing that that's the moment Bobby decided he wasn't saying anything, because he says, "I won't let anything bad happen to your family." Bobby worded that very carefully, and Chimney knows why now. And he has to sit with that. It's not his fault, and it's kind of messed up for Bobby to have done it, but he purposefully took that choice away from them because he knew they would never be able to make that choice. Chimney hasn't accepted that yet. He's not talking to anybody yet. He's drinking, which could either be self harm or maybe, even deep down, he's doing it because he wants Bobby to come back and make him stop, or in a really fucked up way to punish either Bobby or himself, most likely both. It's ironic, in a way, because Bobbyâs accidentally put Chimney in a similar headspace to season 1 Bobby.
Of course other characters deserve their time to grieve. It's one episode. Bobby's impact is gonna be felt every day for these characters. There's two episodes and entire 9th season to get into it if they want. Give it some time, there's only so much they can put in an episode logistically, especially with an ensemble cast. You can stop watching if you want, no one's making you watch, but if you're gonna keep watching, you gotta understand that.

The first half of episode 2 deserves more attention.
Warning! Yapping ahead!
(Also sorry for any potential english errors, it's not my first language)
He brings that up so casually. Honestly I don't blame him, because who would believe you if you said you have some sort of special ability? Only other people who know that superpowers actually exist. It's was kinda smart of Liu Xiao if you think about it. Dropping the word superpower and then watching people's reaction to it.
Now that's interesting. Because Liu Min is our villain from season 1. You know, that guy:

If you remember season 1 and begging of season 2, you know that Liu Min had a difficult relationship with his father (Liu Jing) who wished he "had half the ability of his younger brother" - younger brother being Liu Xiao. Does Liu Jing know that his younger son has superpower or was he just talking about his intelligence?
Also how on earth Xiang had met Liu Min when LM was a kid? Was he babysitting or something? Why does he mention Liu Min when Liu Xiao says "You know boss Liu (Jing)?". You know, his DAD.
Superpower user spotted?
I still don't know how to interpret this moment. Just an artistic representation of deduction/prediction? But the eye... the eye color change... Are they doing this on purpose? Are they trolling us? Powers related to the future finally appear? Am I reaching? Will we learn more about Xiang? I hope so, since he knows about Cheng Xiaoshi's dad.
Ok ok I know that this moment roughed some feathers and almost no one is buying that Liu Xiao's power is just hearing other people's heartbeat. I'm not sure what to think either. I mean his song is literally called "Manipulator" I wouldn't be surprised if that was a lie.
But let's say he is telling the truth. You may ask why would he revealed his power to someone who clearly doesn't like him and could use this info against him? I think that this isn't a stupid move. His power is simple and not as powerful like time travel through photos for example but... you can't really do anything about it. Like what are you going to do, stop your heartbeat? We don't know the exact rules and limits of this power yet. Is there a distance limit? Does it work through phone calls? Does it work on recordings?
After thinking about it, personally, in my humble opinion, I think it's good for the show that we have someone with less spectacular power. Because:
It shows how diverse powers can be.
It forces writers to be more creative about how Liu Xiao deals with the obstacles.
There is certain charm to a character who is "weaker" on paper but is going toe to toe with someone who has a powerful ability. Sometimes it's not about pure power, it's about creativity.
I am genuinely curious how this man looked at his power [hearing heartbeats] and thought "yes, I will be the one to merge all the parallel lines".
Besides, we already had a power not related to photos - Li Tianchen can possess people he touches - so I don't think it's doing much harm to the series.
And now we go back to CXS's dad. There are so many questions. Why is he so important to Liu Xiao? What's his connection to Xiang? Is he still in Bridon? IS HE STILL ALIVE?
Xiang was terrified when Liu Xiao mentioned him so maybe he had/has a powerful ability? I think Xiang had something to do with Cheng Weimin disappearing. My current theory is that someone dangerous was after Cheng Weimin and his family (maybe the superpower police?) and Xiang helped him in some way but that's just a gut feeling. It's just as likely to be true as a version when Xiang helped people who wanted to get rid of him (or maybe capture him and use him? so many questions, not so many answers).
And to end this post that is already way too long...
WHAT DOES THIS BEETLE THING MEAN? P.H.? DO WE KNOW SOMEONE WITH P.H. INITIALS? If it was H. P. I would pull out my lovecraftian hat but it's not (unfortunately).
Paris Hilton is that you???

Ok, first of all, I have just rewatched the special episode and although I already knew how it'd end, the moment the credits went up I literally buried my face in my hands and SOBBED. It's not that hard to make me cry with media, but I usually just tear up and nothing more. The last time I remember sobbing like this was with the end of Chimera Ants arc of Hunter x Hunter manga, which is a completely different type of story and media whatsoever, back in 2012. And I didn't know the end. Spectacular manga btw go read it
That said, I'm freshly out of it so here's a few of my considerations, personal opinions and also my theory. I'm not diving into the analysis of the episode itself for now, as I like to make these for more specific things I find in the work so they deserve a separate post for each, though I will be analyzing the post-credits scene because we don't have answers so we need to speculate.
Looooong text with almost no pictures ahead, just my yapping:
I expected the special episode to be really just Jack and Joke's cute little established relationship, which we did get to see (they're so disgustingly sappy, oh my god. I love them) for a good chunk of the episode. But we all also expected the wedding which, technically, did happen, just not how we wanted.
I think a lot of us just wanted only the happy part of it, maybe just a small conflict that would resolve within the story, which is what special episodes usually offer, especially because the original series wraps up perfectly and doesn't really give that much room for a continuation. And I think that because a lot of people expected this, they were utterly disappointed with it, even mad (that and also killing off one of the leads, like. Yeah I get it lol).
And I understand. Jack & Joker is perfectly balanced, with a nice and perfect ending. If I could choose, I wouldn't want a continuation either - you know, the chances of ruining a perfectly good show increases if you extend it for more than it should, and J&J is already perfect the way it is.
But I was offered the special episode, and now I have to work with it.
The first time I watched it I thought it was a bit rushed and confusing, albeit very intense (in a positive way). In my much calmer (as one can be), much less stressed out and anxious mood of my rewatch, I could feel it better. And I think it's way more seamless than I thought at first. Curiously, I also had the same feeling with the og series; it got so, so much better once I've rewatched it, and it kept getting better with all the small details I caught in every new watch.
It still has all the essence of J&J. The absurd comedy, the action, the romance, the heavy angst, the visuals, the lack of canon tattooaran even if it's heavily hinted. So all in all it was still a complete J&J experience.
I really do like the fact Save is not a perfect boss - he's basically just a math kid. He's not prepared to take care of a whole neighborhood like he did with bank accounts. Variables - people - were not in the system of his little bank computer. Taking care of a whole community is no easy task, especially since he is no mafia, he doesn't have the kind of experience and intimidation to keep bad apples in check. And even so, he still worked his hardest; and even so, it's still not enough.
So having criminals that were under Alice's thumb but now scattered like cockroaches searching for another ditch make having control over these fires they set even harder. I think it's a nice and coherent touch, and stuff happening because of it makes sense.
Also, although the uwu language JackJoke used throughout the moments they were out and about making everyone unwilling witnesses of their disgusting love was extremely funny and cute, it was really nice to see their heartfelt conversation when they were alone in Jack's room. It felt much more like they were baring their hearts for the other to hold, a genuine moment of intimacy, especially since they were making their wedding invites individually and by hand. It bore such a huge significance to their relationship I really can't begin to tell you how much I loved this scene. (they're also wearing shirts of complementary colors đđ)
I wasn't really expecting Carbon to make a comeback. But his explanation on why makes sense, and once again it hints that money and power walk together. It also gives him a more definite end (dying, finally. bitch) to take him out the picture for good since he could just eventually walk out the prison and go after them once again.
The casino mission was SUCH a delightful surprise to me! It's such a heavy wave to the pilot episode and it was really thrilling. Joke playing and cheating on poker was one of the sexiest things he could've ever done in his life lmao also even when he's cheating he manages to be gay af with his little ace and jack cards.
Admittedly, I was a bit underwhelmed with the fighting scenes. A lot of them were subpar compared to the ones in the og show, it not only lacked intensity but it was also awkward to see people in the background waiting to join the fight instead of throwing themselves into it, much like Jack's rampaging into Boss' office, which is one of my absolute favorite scenes in the og show, that's what I was expecting of them. However it was super nice to see the other piggies fighting with what they had, showing they were better prepared. Aran here takes the cake for me.
After that it was downhill. Joke not letting other people decide his destiny is one of the most Joke things in the entire show. With all that was happening it was rather predictable, but then again J&J does its thing and takes the predictability for a twist. "ŕ¸ŕ¸šŕ¸Łŕ¸ąŕ¸ŕ¸Ąŕ¸śŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸ľŕšŕ¸Łŕ¸ąŕ¸" ???? Using tirak in this situation when every other situation it was used was extremely, sickeningly sweet? Devastating. These words in that tone will be branded on my brain forever.
The whole thing with Jack going through the stages of grief and the ghost wedding destroyed me, even more so in my rewatch. Once again I'm here EATING UP Yin's crying scenes (one of my most favorite scenes in any BL ever is Vee crying under the rain at the bridge). I know everyone talks about War's acting when it comes to crying and obviously he always nails it, but I still think Yin should have more recognition in these kind of scenes too, because he always manage to make it so heartbreaking, and it wasn't different here.
The swings scene with him hallucinating Joke to be able to accept his presumed death was one of the most beautiful, most heartbreaking 'endings' I've seen in a Thai BL.
HOWEVER. I absolutely refused to believe they'd actually end in that note. It could be as devastatingly beautiful as it gets but I genuinely thought if they ended it like that it'd be SUCH a huge stab in the back of fans. Jack and Joke barely managed to live a happy life to then be yanked from it. It really didn't feel fair, that they gave us such a perfect little ending in the og show to then just say 'how about no?'. I was honestly in shock and denial. I was really thinking like 'I really, genuinely don't think they'd do this. I will only believe it ends like this when the episode reaches the end and stops playing by itself.'
And I'm glad I thought like that because they really didn't let me down. Some Marvel level of post-credits scene this is. The relief to see Joke isn't actually dead. The enormous cliffhanger.
I still am of the opinion that J&J didn't need a continuation, but now that it's out there, I just hope it's as good as the og show. And that maybe we don't have to wait for another 2 years, although I will gladly do so if that means they will deliver another sublime experience.
But I also hope it ends with that and they manage to move on to other, new things, because they've already proven they can do anything they want and it will be good. I really, really want them to take over the Thai BL world as a power couple with their independent productions, because they showed everyone they can.
Now, to the post-credits scene. Here goes my theory:
Reading all theories and also frying my brain to come up with what will they do with that cliffhanger, I thought of something that might make sense. This, however, would only work (well) in a full 10-12 eps season rather than another special episode or movie.
First of all, I think it's a new character (and that's why I think this will only work with a full season, because introducing a new character just for a short episode will give no substance to it). It's no one we know and I tell you why I think that: Joke had someone specific in mind. I don't think he's talking about Carbon here. Especially because everyone in the conversation knows Carbon very personally, he could just say his name.
So having this in mind, he might've been referring to this new character. So the fact this person is the one... 'housing' Joke, and who tended to his wounds, and also for his shock, this person might be either an old cellmate or someone else that's been incarcerated and Joke knows about or personally. Maybe a rival thief. So he's talking about this person here.
Also, VERY important missing information in the subs: Joke says "someone like me" in the sense of 'has the same abilities/did/does the same things'. This is crucial information that is in several other subs but not in the English one. Because the English subs on this ep are dogshit, lbr.
So I think one option that could happen:
This person wants Joke to either work for or with them. After all, you can't just wipe an alias like "legendary thief" in a year. Whatever it is that they want him for, it might be convenient for them that Joke's deemed dead, or they actually needed Joke to "die" for it to work. They might be in cahoots with someone we already know, or they might be acting alone.
This can be a double-edged sword because the person can be good, neutral or evil and we might not know until the very last minute.
Now one thing that caught my attention: The black shirt in the background.
Absolutely nothing when it's about clothes is Just There in J&J. There's always a lot of subtle storytelling in their clothes, especially when it comes to black and white. And specifically a black shirt hanging in so openly there and no other piece of clothing while Joke is wearing white? This is deliberate.
Do you remember Jack's red ticket? When the joker turns black to white, etc? This might be the opposite of that. This might mean starting from square one, undoing everything up to that point, or it might also mean Joke's darkening arc. Joke's wearing white, so washing this away to taint it black. It might also mean someone who's opposite of him if the shirt is referring to this new character, but I'm not too sold on this idea since black is mainly Jack's motif, especially in relation to Joke. Also, maybe this is the 'enemies' Nang was talking about.
And maybe because Joke has no choice but to do what he's told, whether if it's under threat or because maybe Jack would be in danger if he doesn't because that's their thing, or both, probably both, he can't show up to Jack or any of the piggies, and that is the main conflict of the season.
This can tie with the whole 'moving on' thing about Jack that everyone is terrified of. I don't think that even if it might seem so to add to the tension, Jack will ever actually move on; not FROM Joke at least. He can move on from the pain, make peace with the idea he's not coming back, but not from what he feels for Joke. If Joke appeared in front of him be it tomorrow or in 10 years, he'd probably just resume their lives together (after coming back from the shock of seeing him alive which can take some time). He himself said Joke is the one he loves the most. And some people change you so viscerally and completely that they'll always mean the same to you, forever, which is definitely the case for both.
Maybe if we're going through this route because J&J's classic angst and pain, Joke's gonna watch him from afar going on with his life, then that lack of self-worth he has that I'm pretty sure doesn't just vanish in such a short time even if he's found love and some healing, might keep him from approaching Jack even if he wants to and can do so; he wouldn't want to ruin whatever Jack has built without him so far.
If that's the case, if this really happened, I'd want Jack to find out and tackle Joke on the ground when he's being watched just like their first encounter after the 5 years. It'd be one of the most poetic cinema cycle closing one could pull off with this possible new season. But that's just my wishful thinking.
It can also be something completely different and I'm all for it as long as it retains J&J vibe, quality and unpredictable turns.
And also many more YinWar kissies, there's never enough of those.

something i've noticed in my obsession with ritsu kageyama is that he underestimates people a lot
i think the first example of this is in episode 8, and it's absolutely littered throughout the rest of season 1. it starts with koyama, and the way ritsu says, "that guy is finishedâit's over," when shigeo reaches 100%. while he Does have good reason to believe this, and so does the audience, koyama still manages to "win" by pulling a trump card that completely negates anything shigeo would be able to throw at him
when he's locked up with the awakening lab kids, his first idea is to act like he and the others don't have powers at all, which Wildly underestimates claw's communication between members. ritsu was literally noted to be an above-average esper, and "special treatment" was suggested for him. the fact that he even thought that would work at all suggests he either thinks they're incompetent (which, since all he's seen from claw is koyama so far and koyama can pack a fucking punch, is a little silly) or he's panicking and clinging to desperate, sloppy plans. it also kinda reminds you he's Literally Thirteen. god . he'sso small
also, the fact that ritsu doesn't even remember the awakening lab's kids names is another example of thisâhe deemed them "unimportant" during his arc, and continued to think this for a good while (i'd say he even holds onto some of those views well past the show's runtime, if his little comments about the twin's telepathy in the transmission arc is anything to go by) (also also, that <- deserves a post all on its own bc the fact that he meets another pair of siblings with esper abilities and sees that it's brought them closer instead of torn them apart . wow that makes me ill)
reminder that he listens to one of the kids "get killed" in another room and then watches a claw member drag the kid back out and throw his bloody, lifeless form to the floor. This Happens To Him. he watches this go down, and then he Continues to misjudge them. his little comment about the claw lackies "underestimating them because we're kids" is a bit funny to me now, given this entire post
he does it to shou immediately. he doesn't see a scar on him, so he immediately assumes he's lower tier and about as strong as the lackies. even after shou stomps and cracks the fucking hallway in half, ritsu walks right up to him and doesn't seem threatened. i doubt he's trivializing this situation just bc shou is a kidâthat just wouldn't make sense from ritsu's perspective on things
he's already seen the biggest baddest esper in townâhe lives with the guy. he knows the strongest esper is his own brother, so his view on other people's powers are very skewed. ritsu is so caught up in his trauma that he thinks shigeo is unbeatable, and i think part of that is because he was so young when The Incident occurred. anything scary that happens to you at that age is going to seem insurmountable to you, if you've never tried to overcome that fear. ritsu fully believes ???% is completely invulnerable (and yes, that's largely true) but he seems to carry that idea over to shigeo as a whole
maybe dimple's comment about ritsu being able to reach shigeo's level got more into his head than i originally thought it didâhe "knows" he's at least close enough to shigeo to eventually surpass him, and since he puts shigeo's powers on a pedestal built with shaking hands, he thinks, hey, i must be pretty close to that. i must be pretty invincible too
he tends to mentally call fights finished before he's seen everything his opponent can do. ritsu straight up responds "i don't believe that," to shou's little you can't defeat me, and he's seen basically nothing in shou's arsenal
to his credit, once all the scars show up, he shuts his mouth and admits he's no match. and i think after the 7th division arc, he stops brushing people's abilities aside so much
this is why the shimazaki fight is so important for his character.
he fights him even though he Knows he'll lose. the shimazaki fight is Not ritsu underestimating himâpreviously, he's lost battle after battle because he truly and fully thought he'd win. he does not think he'll win this, and he's doing it purely to distract shimazaki from shou's position
ritsu kageyama is 1000% ride or die, especially when it comes to his own beliefs and trauma. i think if shou's situation wasn't as similar to ritsu's as it rly was, ritsu wouldn't have tried so hard to help him. ritsu risks his life to give this kid just a few extra minutes to deal with his father, and the way he enters the fight speaks pretty highly of how much he Wasn't underestimating him
he enters the fight by blinding shimazaki, by pulling a trick from his pocket underhandedly, and even though it obviously doesn't work, it shows that ritsu believes he'll need to do more than just use his powers like he normally does. i believe this is the first time he fights this way as well, with this covert trickery that uses his environment to his advantageâhe keeps doing it throughout the fight; throwing cars, dislodging rocks to collapse ceilings. he's truly trying to think outside of the box because he entered this fight with the knowledge that he'll likely lose, and he needs more than just Himself to stay alive
but enough about ritsu underestimating claw, or awakening lab kids. i think the person he underestimates most of all is his own brother.
maybe i'm stretching the definition of "underestimate"âmaybe there's a better word for it that i can't think of right nowâbut the way ritsu seems to think that shigeo will snap at the slightest issue in his life is... well. it's a little,,, patronizing, isn't it? he doesn't seem to have faith in shigeo's ability to keep a cool head, and even though he knows for sure that shigeo is Powerful (and even, sometimes overestimates that aspect of him) i think he tends to undermine his control over that power, tends to believe he'll blow up and scarcely doubting that assumption. he grew up like that, constantly in fear of his brother unleashing that "monster" again, and that in and of itself is an example of ritsu not having enough faith in his brother
when he sees onigawara talking to shigeo loudly in the hallway, ritsu sees how nervous shigeo is and narrows his eyes, like he senses something building in him. when reigen gets slashed during the 7th division arc, the fear in ritsu's gaze is not directed to reigen's "killer," it is directed to his brother, in fear of an oncoming explosion. and i Would say he gets better at this, but even at the tail end of s3, at the beginning of confession arc, ritsu fully believes (until he sees the car that hit shigeo, i think) that ???% came around because tsubomi rejected him. he thinks his brother would react so negatively to that, that other side of him would come out to wreak havoc.
when mob Does actually ask tsubomi out, he just cries when he's rejected. he reacts like every other teenage boy reacts, by quietly crying to himself. it's a very normal thingâafter the absurdity and the sheer vastness of power and destruction the audience was just put through, mob walking away and crying quietly about being rejecting by a love interest is the first taste of normalcy we've had in like three episodes. what ritsu thought would spark this is actually the thing that calls the story and the audience back to a place that is solid and grounded
i'm not saying ritsu is a bad brotherâthat is so so SO far from my pointâi'm saying that he's young and he's full of multitudes, and that includes mistakes. and that is Refreshing
this little guy is So full of faults, and it's one of the many things i love about him. he's a character that's practically built upon flaws with "good traits" as an afterthought, instead of the other way around, and the fact that he's been written like that, but introduced to be the polite, honor student, supportive, younger brother type is So Fuckin Cool!
it compliments his arc perfectly, because the reason big cleanup arc starts is because he's tired of being all that. he's tired. i never stop thinking about his maybe i wanted to find out what it would feel like to be a fool, it's Such a good line, and even if his reasonings for big cleanup arc seem nonsensical to some, i think it makes perfect sense in this odd, fucked up way. he literally Says it, right there. he explains everything in those few lines during that rooftop scI'M GETTING OFF-TOPIC
ritsu is a good character and his numerous flaws are what make him interesting to me. if he stayed that polite, honor student, supportive, younger brother type, i probably wouldn't give a shit about him. he is interesting Because he's made some pretty bad choices, Because he's made some pretty disgusting assumptions. he's a kid, fumbling along, with trauma dragging him by the wrists. i could talk about him for hours

the voice acting in the alternates series like. actually fire. Especially Travisâs VA (Pat) like oh my gosh I was not expecting all that emotion from this series specifically. this mini-series in general is pretty good, I had a lot of fun watching it.

I wouldnât consider it a masterpiece or anything, nor is it jessâs best work (I mean, the whole concept of alternates, the main element of the mini series, wasnât even an original idea) but itâs still a really enjoyable watch if youâre an older fan and want to go back to the channelâs old style of storytelling. If you havenât already, I would give this series a try, especially since itâs so short. So I wanna yap about it because itâs all Iâve been thinking abt lately
(spoilers after this)
I especially enjoyed Travis & Aphmauâs friendship here, I wasnât expecting it to last all the way until the end, especially since Travis hadnât been a main character in Aphâs channel for a while, but they worked together rlly well. And the end was actually pretty bittersweet (until the cliffhanger thing, we donât talk abt that though my god let them have a day of peace) since they got to talk about their perspective on what had just happened and theyâre clearly helping each other heal from all the loss. I think it was done really well.

Also near the end, the unpredictability was actually kinda impressive. Like the first few episodes I could predict what would happen pretty easily, like the plot twists werenât all that surprising. But like around episode 3 like I had NO idea what would happen and was constantly questioning myself and honestly thatâs very enjoyable.
There was even a moment in episode 5 with the cutscenesâaka where Travis was attacking the Pierce spiderâthat subverted the expectations that the viewer had. Every cutscene animated in that style up until that point had either been a death or some character getting injured, so I was so upset because I thought Travis would die. And he didnât. That was SUCH a good twist from the norm and actually caught me offguard.
Also this unpredictability not only applies with the story, but also the deaths. I genuinely didnât feel as if any of them had plot armor by the third episode, I was terrified that they would die. Like especially since the âminorâ characters were literally outliving the main ones, aka the ones we see almost every day in aphmauâs channel. What do you mean IVY survived longer than ZANE, I didnât expect them to do that and honestly. I loved it.
And my god the travelyn in this series was peak (idk if thatâs the right spelling for the ship name I havenât been in this fandom for years guys forgive me) this series has legitimately made me enjoy travelyn more. Since Iâm only reentering the fandom, I remember as a kid I didnât care as much about it, but here itâs kind of a main focus here and it was really good. They genuinely cared SO much about each other and were so devastated by the possibility of the other being hurt or deadâespecially Travis.
Small thing too but the story itself feels simple but not clear enough to really satisfy the viewerâwhich I think is fine! It left me wondering what everything even meant by the end of it. In a way, it felt like we have every piece of the puzzle, but just donât know how to rearrange it correctly quite yet. Theorists, do your thing lmao.
ALSO ALSO a smaller detail but I actually really enjoy the set pieces, too. Iâm not sure who designed the mobs/monsters but thereâs a lot of care put into them, especially the weird alternate aphmau final boss design in ep 5 like oh my god. And the buildings were made really well too, my favorites are the subway and the house beside the cornfield. The environments are pretty simple but look nice, and because of their simplicity, the alternate designs stick out a lot, which is good!
Thatâs basically all I can say abt this seriesâREALLY good. Itâs nice to see Aphmau going back to her roleplays that arenât just entirely âkid friendly,â and âscenarios.â What I mean is that I enjoy this more coherent, thought out stories instead of just âI turn into ____ for 24 hours in Minecraftâ every different video. Like the story itself doesnât need to be super dark or anything, I like the lighthearted stuff with these characters too. In fact, the alternates series was surprisingly darker and more horror filled than I had ever expected. But I wan to actively have to focus on what Iâm watching to understand it. With a lot of the channelâs recent content, you can turn your brain off because thereâs no real story. Even in the more lighthearted seasons of Mystreet, I still found myself actually paying attention because I was interested in the characters and their interactions and growth. The new scenario-based content had none of that. But for Alternates, like the old shows which came before it, you actually have to pay attention.
So basically, we need to make Alternates more known in the fandom I believe. I would love to read a fic or two about this mini-series. Itâs kind of a hopeful gift for the older fans while we wait for season 7 of Mystreet, a way for jess to remind us that she definitely does still know how to write an interesting story. I donât know how Iâd feel about alternates continuing due to the cliffhanger (especially bc Travis would probably die considering he has one leg) but I am hoping the channel keeps going on this same road of reintroducing interesting and well written stories.
thatâs it, just needed a mini yap session lawl

HEHAHBFKI More South Park doodles I think Iâm going insane.
Actually this is kind of the product of me being liking South Park way back in high school but was too embarrassed to draw them when I was bored in class and now itâs all kinda flooding back đ
Read below if you want to know more about my New Kid and my thoughts behind some of the doodles cause this turned out longer then I though đ
Anyways- introducing my New Kid. No name cause I literally have no idea. Whatever the cannon name is ig- though Iâd think itâd be funny if she was referred to New Kid by literally everyone like in game. I like the idea that a lot of people have with their New Kids that they liked the makeover section with the girls during the Stick of Truth a little too much. I also like it cause⌠uh⌠I didnât play Stick of Truth. (The combat system is not my cup of tea) So itâs not until the start of TFBW does she know shes really a girl.
To give context to the top right drawing- I couldnât remember the dialogue Wendy says in the alleyway if you say youâre a trans girl- but I do know what she says if your a cis girl (I always knew you were a girl) cause I did a second play through as a cis girl. And I donât know if thereâs supposed to be a huge time jump between the end of Stick of Truth and TFBW but I think it would be funny if it was just the next day- so combine these two fact to get âWendy always clocked New Kid as a girl but NK just found out yesterday đâ
Anyways- sheâs such a cutie, I love her and her cool superhero outfit I gave her. Outside of the game- Iâd like to think of her basically exactly how she acts in game. Mostly non-verbal, with the occasional zingy one liner, and just kinda goes along with the crazy shit the happens in South Park un phased. Like if she was in a episode- the plot would happen and she would be on screen, but wouldnât say anything, and anytime another character would address her, theyâd respond however as if she spoke lmao. Aroace, just like me, so sheâs just friends with everyone (except Cartman) and vibes with everyone.
The mini Style comic I though of cause 1) I wondered if Kyle had the same elf ears as the other elfs did in game (again, never played and itâs been a while since I saw gameplay so whoops if itâs confirmed or whatever) and 2) I thought it would be funny if Stan was caught lacking and tried to /rp his way out of it (I wanted to add an extra bit where Kyle would be like âOh, are our characters gay for each other??? (ARE YOU /SRS OR /J STAN)â and Stan would have to just âyes, andâ his way out.)
The last three images were kinda of a stream of consciousness put on paper and made neat lol. I really like showing that all the costumes the kids wear are homemade and stuff- either stuff taken from their parents or visibly taped together etc- cause I think itâs charming. Anyways- I though Kyleâs little robe could be like one of his parents bath robe- and it would be a little too long for him to run without eating shit so heâd have to hike it up like a skirt/dress. Which lead to me thinking that Cartman would say some shit about that and how Kyle, who has a literal Golf Club, would smack his ass up. Which then lead to me thinking about how since Kyleâs the Elf King and Stanâs basically his right hand how he might lift it up wedding dress style if needed (/RP GUYS, RIGHT?RIGHT???) and how Cartman would react, which lead to that one JoJo meme cause thats literally how theyâd retaliate.
Always- Iâll probably have at least one more post about South Park I swear. There was a period of time before I stopped watching (I gotta pick it up again) where I would doodle a bit of whatever was happening in the episode, each episode. Crazy I know, but not only did it improve my drawing skills but it helped me remember what actually happened in episodes cause I have shit memory and definitely donât remember some of the episodes I watched. So I might redraw some of those- see if anyone can tell what episode theyâre from.
#itâs a good day to be a South Park fan if you follow me lmao#south park#new kid sp#stick of truth#the fractured but whole#sp tfbw#sp sot#scott malkinson#jimmy valmer#karen mccormick#kenny mccormick#wendy testaburger#do I tag all the characters here??? I only draw some on them once#stan marsh#kyle broflovski#eric cartman#sp style#I really like the potential Style has in the SoT verse#as in the âking and his loyal soldierâ but itâs two kids who secretly have crushes on the other while roleplaying a great fantasy romance#cause they have no way to express their affections in a normal way#lol Iâm prolly doing a crap job of saying what I mean in a not weird way#but Style girlies read âBlessed Be The Mystery of Loveâ or âSign of Devotionâ on Ao3 to get the gist

a (very speculative) rant on the intelligence of gray matter (and the concept of genetic memory(mostly the latter actually))
ok so something that has always kinda bugged me about gray matter in how knowledgable ben is in this transformation.
and I don't mean his intelligence I mean his knowledge: gray matter could recognize alien technology and species by NAME. this isn't something you could do by just having an high IQ and we've seen Ben do this even before knowing max was a plumber let alone had the chance to have seen this kind of stuff before.
I always brushed it off as kids show logic until I put more thought into it...and realized this isn't only time transformations have shown to carry knowledge
literally in his debut episode, Zs'Skayr has said that the Conciousness of an Ectonurite is contained even in a string of DNA, which not only meant he lived inside the omnitrix, everytime Ben transformed into Ghostfreak, he was physically fused with Zs'Skayr, which is what allowed him to fight for control and eventually escape the watch.
this shows that DNA containing memories is established in the ben 10 universe.
but despite being the most popular sentient transformation there are other less obvious examples in the series
Big chill is a similar yet less extreme example, where the DNA itself wasn't sentient, but its instincts overwhelmed Ben so much it affected his human form and the omnitrix itself
this shows that despite still being Ben, he does a lot of the traits of his aliens like reproductive cycle and instincts, and I really wanna emphasize this, sure we all know the omnistrix can make ben smarter for aliens with big brains or make him more aggressive (i.e rath) for aliens that are naturally competitive.
but I really wanna emphasize while ben's personality and memories are carried over for each alien, he truly becomes each alien, even in how their brains work, he doesn't just gain the knowledge of how their powers work, his brain is wired the same way any individual of that species is, just like how we humans have core fears we all share, or specific behaviors and rituals we partake in like it's second nature, so do these aliens, and when ben transforms the same wired in behaviors he has like all of us are replaced with those of the creature.
ampfibian's case is interesting because he is similar to ghostfreak's.
while Ghostfreak's DNA is said to contain its counciousness and that's why he's alive in the omnitrix, Ra'ad wasn't just scanned he was ABSORBED, not only did he get digitized inside the watch, when ben transforms into him it carried over his counciousness and both had to share the body.
this is huge because this isn't a species which adapted to be able to do this like Ghostfreak. the Omnitrix was not only able to store an entire individual in it, it was able to use Ben's body to reconstruct Ra'ad.
Za'Scyr was a parasite, but Ra'ad wasn't. this is completely the Omnitrix's doing, it was able to capture and fuse two beings, so really there's no limit to what it can hold nor to how much it can change ben.
and he isn't even the only instance of this!
not only is sugolite an example of the watch storing an entire being, he himself is an example of the power of DNA in this show
sugolite was able to revive AN ENTIRE SPECIES decades after they were killed off.
if you thought the omnitrix storing Ra'ad like a poke ball then bringing back in ben's body was impressive, this fucking guy held an snapshot of an entire population of a planet in him, and was able to bring them back just from the crystals in his planet, that's like if you instantly grew a person from like grass.
he was literally called a living backup (I don't remember the exact wording but it was smth like that) of the entire species and all that information was stored in a transformation ben occasionally used.
ok but how does this tie back to gray matter?
we've seen transformations can hold the knowledge of people, but in all these cases it was either information inseparable from the DNA like instincts, or it was literally a whole ass person stored in the omnitrix, there was always a reason why aliens behave the way they do and knew the things they did.
so why the fuck does this guy just...know shit????
I have a theory
Galvans can pass down knowledge to their offspring
I don't mean this the same way we pass down knowledge by teaching, I mean that Galvans, literally can recall knowledge from their predecessors, and use this to intuitively learn have a head start when it comes to survival, if their parent ate a poison berry a survived to tell the tale, their offspring will intuitively know that berry is poison.
why do I think this? well gray matter's intelligence is often showcase through engineering, he has a deep understanding for machines, and while making the omnitrix, what would have been the easiest source for Galvan DNA if not the ENGINEER of the Omnitrix himself?
if my theory is correct that Galvan intelligence comes from them inheriting knowledge from their ancestors and building upon them with every generation, this would mean ben's knowledge while in gray matter comes directly from Azmuth.
every time ben as gray matter shows an incredible feat of engineering, that's him directly tapping into Azmuth's knowledge and life experience, in a way it's like ben tapped into a database built of generations and generations of galvans, truly becoming one of them in a way, which fits with the way the series treats transformations, as ben becoming a member of a different species, walking in their feet like Azmuth intended
so uh yeah that was my rant, don't know how many people will read this cause idk how many ben 10 fans there are on Tumblr, but it's just smth that's been on my mind.
ps. sorry for my bad grammar/spelling

- maddie bring the protective sister is my favourite thing at the moment.
- buck calling eddie âedâ is precious hello??
- okay the tsunami episodes were amazing. i literally zoomed through them, canât say im not a sucker for a natural disaster episode. buck had me stressed tf out though, poor baby trying to do everything he could to save Christopher and keep other people safe as well.
- i canât remember her name, but the new girl eddie is hanging out with i do not like.
- buck you little sheetttt you made me so annoyed with the lawsuit bullshit. he really doesnât think or understand patience, literally a puppy dog i stg.

- can i just say i love how soft chimney is with maddie? he doesnât baby her or tip toe around her but he still acknowledges her past. he doesnât try to make her talk or pretend it didnât happen, they handle it together and i love them.
- maddie is such a bby, i adore her but fkkk she needs to step back. i know she just wants to help but sheâs putting herself at risk by doing this shit, i love her but ugh please stop it :((
- wtf is eddie doing!? fight club?? REALLY? im gonna smack him in the back of the head. itâs really interesting seeing this side of him, but I donât wanna see him get hurt. (but also, at least we get hot scenes of him from it haha)
ookokok so far this season is already favourite, i am a very slow watcher and ive managed to zoom through these 7 eps in two daysâ thatâs how invested i am right now aha, literally obsessed! gonna watch more immediately!
also each season they torture a character?? first bobby, then chimney and maddie but now buck and eddie? very mean. let them be happy <3
predictions:
- hen and her wifey are gonna be pregnant
- no abby (im manifesting it)
- i feel like eddie is gonna either get really hurt or get caught doing these fight clubs
- maddie is most likely right about her hunch regarding the dv case, so i think thatâll come back up either through another call or sheâll see her.

I am begging for some Brian Quinn fluffđđťđđťđŤśđź
When looking for photo inspo for this one I got the thought of girl dad!Q and haven't been able to get it out of my headđ
Sidenote- given you asked for "fluff" PLEASE don't hesitate to ask again if this isn't what you had in mind!!! I know not everyone will enjoy this so please ask for something else if this isn't what you were wanting<3
fluff. Literally my headcanons for Q becoming/being a girl-dad!
P.S. Yes I know that he has said he doesn't want kids, I am just being delusional, leave me alone
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm gonna be realistic here, Brian wouldn't know what to think when you tell him you're pregnant.
He wouldn't be angry or anything, just...unsure.
Honestly probably kind of scared. Like in an "I don't know if I want/am ready for fatherhood" sort of way.
He wouldn't really be super excited until you go to that first ultrasound together. He will hear that heartbeat and see that little baby in there, and he will be HOOKED.
From that point on, he's making room in the house for a nursery, buying baby toys, reading books on raising kids, the works.
He can't stop talking about it with his friends either, especially Joe, since he already has kids.
He's so excited, but he's also terrified because what if he's a bad dad? What if he doesn't pick up the "parenting" thing.
But once he finds out you are having a girl, it's OVER for you bitches.
He's buying the whole damn store for that baby. Cute pink onesies, little princess dresses, pink decorations. He's buying themes diapers and wipes, for gods sake.
Once your baby is born, you couldn't drag him away.
You know he would take stupid photos like the one above and giggle while taking them.
He'd post them to his Instagram or his Twitter for sure.
And when he talk about her, he always compliments you in the same sentence.
Like, "Oh she's beautiful, just like her mother." Or, "Oh she's just the sweetest little thing, she get's all her good looks from her mom."
It's literally the sweetest thing, watching him with her.
Once she's older, like pre-school toddler age, he would take her everywhere. On set, to the park, shopping, EVERYWHERE!
He loves showing her off on set. He doesn't use her in any episodes or anything (unless the guys use her as a punishment in some way- which they do), but he just likes showing her off to the crew and the guys.
But once she's old enough (like 4+), he get's her on episodes every so often.
You guys remember that one challenge when they had a voice changer, and the challenge was to guess who was talking, and if you guess wrong you have to do the challenge? Well he brought her on set that day to mess with Murr, having her give a challege. Murr (obviously, given he didn't know she was even on set/going to talk) guessed wrong. The fans at home got a real kick out of that one.
But besides that stuff, he is also just genuinely an amazing dad.
Like, he goes to all her field trips, dances, etc.
And oh my god the daddy daughter dance at school.
Not only does he make sure to dress up in the most expensive tux he can find, but he gets her hair done, makeup done, nails done, the works. Just because she wanted to look like a princess.
And he. gets. DOWN when he's dancing with her.
Like full blown dancing, not just swaying to the music or standing to the side like some of the other dads. Social anxiety and introvertedness be damned
By the end of the night, he's got like, ten kids he's dancing with because they see he's going all out.
At the end of the night he for SURE carries her out somehow. On his back, bridal style, whatever.
None of this kind of behavior stops, even when she's a teen.
Like he is going to be driving her and her friends everywhere, getting them on set and meeting celebrity guests.
He's paying for anything she wants done, hair makeup, you name it.
He gets kinda emotional after she leaves for prom. After he takes 5 billion photos and "jokingly" threatens her date.
He gets defensive when you tease him about it, saying his "baby girl is growing up."
IDK. This is literally me dumping all my girl dad!Q thought out into a single post. All I know is that he would be a phenominal girl dad, or honestly dad in general.
#brian quinn fluff#brian quinn#brian q quinn#im ovulating can you tell#probably#but like girl!dad Q is blowing my mind#without this rec I would have never had this thought#you have changed my life anon#headcanons#i guess these count as headcanons?#totally#impractical jokers being dads is weird but also super correct#like#yes#they would go to daddy daughter dances#and take stupid photos of their babies

UNCLE SAMSONITE THEORY!!!!!
idk how to hide the thing but donât scroll if you donât want spoilers
-
OKAY SO BASICALLY FATHER JOHN IS SCRUNCHY CHUNKS. YAY!!!! SEGWAYS INTO THEORY IN EPIC FASHION
evidence a: they both use guns. could mean something!!!
evidence b: both say mother of judas. could just be a reference but AHHHH LET A DIVA DREAM
exhibit c: both wear a black coat
exhibit d: he knows way too much. like how does bro already know this much about the bowens and uncle samsonite?? he even knew about the green one. not to mention that offbrand sofa being samâs weakness was like a big reveal in the start of the series. but he knew ever since his first scene!!! ALSO NOT TO MENTION HE JUST. HAD SIR BOWEN CHILLING BELOW TH CHURCH. EITHER ITS HIS SPECIAL INTEREST OR SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT!!!
exhibit e: remember that one scene from episode 3 where father john and uncle sam were like
âto whom am i speaking?â
âoh i think you know..â
DIVORCED PEOPLE!!!!! THEY KNOW EACHOTHER!!!!!!!
exhibit f: isaacâs death
this is a more specific one i apologize. but do you remember how isaacâs lore is that he was possessed by uncle samsonite as a kid??? well heâs still possessed by sam in uncle samsonite returns, the video where scrunchy chunks first appears. and even though throughout the whole series father john BARELY SHOWS EMOTION BESIDES SERIOUSNESS, he seems to really care about isaac. when isaac dies, he shuts his eyes like he canât even watch. and he says âit shouldâve been meâ like heâs blaming himself. like he couldnât protect him. OOOOH YOU SEE WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS BECAUSE IF FATHER JOHN IS SCRUNCHY CHUNKS, HE WOULDâVE SEEN WHAT SAM DID TO ISAAC AND MAYBE WOULD FEEL GUILTY
exhibit g: HOW THE HELL DOES FATHER JOHN TRACK UNCLE SAMSONITE??? HE HAS A WHOLE SECRET BASE UNDER THE CHURCH. HOW WOULD HE HAVE GOTTEN A LITERAL TRACKER, DATABASE, ETC IF HE HADNT BEEN CLOSE TO HIM AT SOME POINT LITERALLY AND OR FIGURATIVELY!!
exhibit h: you know how in uncle samsonite returns, scrunchy chunks says âiâm cameronâs imaginary friend!!! you wanna rub my tummy???â well heâs an IMAGINARY FRIEND. imaginary friends are typically made up to entertain kids and keep them happy right?? well. in s2e8 when mr dad and jake get back to the church, father john doesnât instantly get to fighting uncle samsonite like he typically would. instead, he says that jake needs time to rest. so if he was scrunchy chunks, if he was an imaginary friend at some point, maybe heâd still have a soft spot for children.
ALSO I ASKED JAKE BOWEN ABOUT IT AND HE SAID THIS

#this is a lot of reaching but itâs okay#uncle samsonite#uncle samsonite father john#father john uncle samsonite#uncle samsonite scrunchy chunks#scrunchy chunks#scrunchy chunks uncle samsonite#father john#uncle samsonite theory#fan theory#zigzag yaps#except this time iâm actually yapping

----------------SPOILERS FOR ARCANE SEASON 2 ACT I BELOW----------------
Alright then, hopefully no one who hasn't watched Arcane S2 Act I yet is reading this. I don't know if this has already been said or not but I was (like so many others) blown away by Act I last Saturday and literally cannot wait for the next two. Full disclosure in case I get any facts wrong (feel free to correct me!!), I have never played League of Legends in my life and know no lore whatsoever outside the show.
I'm fascinated by Isha and Jinx's currently nonexistent but gradually growing relationship. First of all, if I remember correctly, we know that this child's name is Isha only because of a subtitleâshe never introduces herself, and no one ever calls her by name. Jinx only acknowledges her grudgingly, and until the very last scene of Episode 3, Sevika acts like she isn't even there.
I think there's parallels to be drawn between Powder and Isha, starting with what I mentionedâboth of them are often ignored by the people around them. Of course, Powder was loved by her sister and adoptive siblings and father, most of them just rarely got the chance to really show it. I don't think Sevika or Jinx particularly care about Isha at all as of now, but we don't know much about her past. There's got to be some reason why Chross's men were chasing her, and there's got to be a reason why she apparently has nowhere to go. I would guess she's associated with either Chross, another chembaron, or perhaps a figure like Vanderârelevant to the Lanes, but not a chembaron. I would also guess that, like Powder, whatever familial figure she has/had is either dead or has abandoned her.
She's small (although we do not know exactly how old she's supposed to be), does not appear to have much fighting ability, was scared the first time she saw Jinx kill people, and, despite it all, seems to be unnaturally resilient. From the little I've seen, she seems to be good at hiding and sneaking around. These are more traits that seem similar to Powder's. I'd like to add that her flinching when Jinx fired at Chross's men does not necessarily mean she's never seen violence before, but that she's probably never been in the direct line of it. I also think she has some emotional attachment to her hat. That could just be because it's useful, though.
The larger case I want to bring to light, however, is not her resemblance to Powderâbut how she differs. There's two scenes where I think this really stands out.
The first is the Jinx and Sevika vs Smeech fight. The setting of the fight bears some similarity to the fight Vi, Claggor, and Mylo get into against some thugs at the beginning of Season 1. Obviously, Jinx and Sevika are much more experienced than the kids were at the time of their fight, but they're also fighting against equally powered opponents. Regardless, the two fights bear a resemblance in where they take placeâthe streets. Powder is present in one fight mostly because she goes where Vi goes; Isha is at the other because she was following Jinx. Powder, in an act of self-defense, tries to use the bomb she made, which backfires and results in her losing the loot and, in a way, nullifying the others' victory. Isha, in an attempt to help Jinx, throws the bomb that Jinx madeâsuccessfully distracting the thug, and allowing Jinx an easy kill.
The second instance is the Jinx and Sevika vs Vi and Caitlyn fight. There's no obvious similarity here, but I think, especially from Isha/Powder's perspective, this is a very similar situation to the fight Vi and everyone gets into against Silco's gang in the warehouse at the end of S1 Act I. Assuming Isha has very little context (just like Powder did, at the time), to her, it's a very big, very scary fight of the people who are "with" herâthe good guysâvs the people attacking themâthe bad guys. Powder, in an act of bravery, tries to intervene with a device she knows nothing about other than the fact that it explodesâand it does explode, and ultimately kills most of the people she was trying to save. Isha, in an act of bravery, tries to intervene with a gun, something she has presumably never held before, to save Jinx's lifeâand she succeeds. Another interesting detail is that in Powder's case, Silco's gang, armed with Shimmer, was blatantly and dangerously overpoweredâPowder brought in the Hextech, which in theory, evened the odds, or even tipped them in their favorâbut still cost them the fight. The fight Isha was witnessing was fairly evenly matchedâVi and Caitlyn had more Hextech weapons, but Jinx did have one Hextech weapon, and she and Sevika had the advantage of it being on their turf. Isha intervened with a simple gun, arguably the weakest weapon on the scene, but still succeeded. Lastly, Powder's intervention was from a distance, while Isha threw herself into the action. It should go without saying that I'm not trying to put Powder and Isha against each other at allâI'm just observing the situations they got put into.
To address the elephant in the roomâI am aware that Powder and Jinx are the same person, but I'm drawing a distinction here because I'm examining the similarities between Powder (young Jinx, if you will) and Isha, wondering how Jinx would perceive them (if she perceives them at all), and how that would impact her relationship with her. I have no predictions as to what that may be, but I do expect Jinx and Isha's relationship to be an interesting one, and potentially, Isha may even play an important role in changing Jinx.
One last thing, although this is unrelated to the parallelsâI mentioned earlier that Sevika acts like Isha doesn't exist until the very end of Episode 3. When Isha throws herself on Jinx, Caitlyn continues attempting to fire, and Vi attempts to stop her, I believe Sevika triggers the blast, ending that altercation, largely to save Isha. When she realizes that Caitlyn won't back away, she does the best thing she can to put a stop to the situation right there.
I could draw this even further into a Vander-Vi-Powder hold parallels to Sevika-Jinx-Isha theory, but that may be a stretch, even for me.

And a litle bonus

TURTLES- Why does Mikey looks like heâs breaking the fourth wall in the last one. He looks like heâs playing narrator.

3) All I'm saying is that KARAI was stalking the turtles 24/7 and that's how she ended up needing Leo's saving. Plus, most of the time it was only with the worst intentions, but no one's going to talk about that or how creepy it is. Is it because she's human? Or she's puuuurty? đ¤¨Â
Sexism or specism, okay, pick a side /jkjkjk

4) The shift between The Super Shredder and Darkest Plight always jars me because they have the same conversation but slightly tweeked between episodes and it's like: WHAT'S THE CANON CONVERSATION WHICH ONE IS A LIE??
Or maybe they have the same conversation twice because of grief or disbelief. I don't pretend to understand turtle minds.
I love how in this scene shows just how much they've adapted to their roles when Mikey pops up and exchanges a subtle look with Leo who nods and then Raph smirks and Donnie watches them move with a calculated gaze because they're all on the same wave length and then Mikey distracts like he does best and hkjhkhgks GROWTH
= Darkest Plight
5) ...Donnie honey no don't look so sad *sad sounds* Raph coming in with that hand on his shoulder for comfort OH THIS SCENE-
= The Mutation Situation
6) GUYSER- GYSER? GY... GEYSER CAVE!! Also. Chimera â¨
= Eyes of the Chimera
7) Green gas room. Mikey be doing his thang.
= New Girl In Town
8) I originally thought The Crypt of Dracula but then I was like: April wasn't there. She was bitten. Soooo, space outfits! They're in space. When did they temple in Space? Oooooh-
SAVE THE MIKEY, RAPHIE! GO!
= Riddle of the Ancient Aeons
9) Yeah I can't sleep when I'm annoyed either, Mikey. BUT THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO STEAL FROM DONNIE'S LAB WHEN HE BORROWED THAT FROM SOMEONE ELSE, MIKEY!
Donnie SHOULD be getting coaxed to bed and instead his nap is going to get interrupted so the sleepy kid can get YELLED AT
This is why this kid can't ever get his 8 hours.
Everything goes wrong when he tries to snooze!
= Bat in the Belfry.
10) đ I shouldđ knowđ this đ
But I cannot remember for the life of me what it is. HUmf.
11) I HAVE NO IDEA BUT I NEED CONTEXT FOR THIS PLEASE??
12) iT'S VIDEOS GAMES. BUT TRAINING! (Teenage turtles đ)
= The Arena of Carnage
13) Egyptian! I see Egypt stuff in that backgrouuuund!
= The Curse of Savanti Romero
14) Mikey is just so randomly awesome all the time. It really does him injustice to pretend like he's some depressed child who's constantly underestimated or mistreated by his brothers. "Mikey, you never cease to amaze me" like c'mon they know his potential.
His whole gig is "this shouldn't work" BUT HE MAKES IT WORK
He's just "super dope like that, fool!" jgdlkjgldfkjgldfk
= End Times
15) Room full of screens. "Not now DonnIe- ohhh, sorry Mr. O'Neil." Yep yep yep I'm pretty confident in this assumption
= Operation Break Out
16) Literally have no idea what this comes from. BUT HE'S CREEPING ME OUT NO NONONNNO- AHHAHAHAHAHH- I WANT TO STOP MAKING EYE CONTACT NOW-

Hello...Do you mind if I ask your top 5 (or top 10) favorite moments from any media that you love (books, anime/manga, tv series, movies, games, etc)? Thanks if you want to answer. Sorry if I ask too much....
That's such a fun question!
And definitely one that's difficult to answer... But let me see what I can come up with.
*These are not in order of favorite, just in the order I thought of them.*
1- Agni Kai ("Avatar the Last Airbender") This one is just a literal masterpiece. The visuals, the action, the music, the lack of dialogue, the show of character in their fighting... Literally mesmerizing.
2- Eri smiling ("My Hero Academia") She is the sweetest little girl and watching her smile as the darkness washes away from her after everything she was put through...it makes me cry.
3- Nadiya winning "The Great British Baking Show" I love Nadiya, and it was such an emotional moment to see her talk about how she would never doubt herself again, you could see how hard she was on herself and how much she didn't believe she could do something like this - and it was just so encouraging to see all her hard work pay off.
4- Kars for Kids ("The Good Place") We had to pause the episode to let me finish laughing because this caught me so off guard. Especially because it feels like an inside joke, almost. Like either you don't know what they're talking about with that song, or you are like YES THAT IS THE THEME SONG OF HELL.
youtube
5- I Want it That Way ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") It's just brilliant. It's so funny, and no matter how many times I watch it, it always makes me laugh.
youtube
6- Rooftop scene between Daredevil and Punisher ("Daredevil") This scene always stood out to me because it didn't resolve with either character caving into the other's beliefs. I was so used to scenes always having a resolution, so this one was captivating because it was some of the best and most realistic dialogue I remember watching at the time.
7- Poison ("Hazbin Hotel") All I will say is that this was so hard to watch, and that was the point. Whoever worked on this did such an amazing job in conveying the situation from a place of understanding and not just for shock value.
8- Bad Wolf Rose ("Doctor Who") This moment always stuck with me because it showed what humans were capable of. And the fact that all her lines were spoken in a very soft, gentle tone made it all the more powerful.
9- Dracarys ("Game of Thrones") This moment I liked because it was just sheer comeuppance and satisfaction. I also was working retail at the time, and this had such "I AM the manager" vibes lol.
10- Riza Hawkeye shooting ("Full Metal Alchemist") She's such a good character, and she was usually so stoic and in control of any situation - until she thought the man she (at least in my mind) loved was dead, and she just absolutely lost it.
There are some shows/movies where I liked too many moments that it's safer to say I just like the thing as a whole, and no one moment stuck out too much. And I left books off the list so I could add a gif/video to this post.
I know that the minute I post this, I will think of many more moments, but I'm trying not to overthink this or I'll be here forever lol
I generally like moments of big emotion. Or at least moments that make me feel things - good or bad.
Thanks for this question! It was fun to think about. :)

opinions on Zac the Sunshine ? (beyburst)
HIII Sorry for the wait I was feeling like shit yesterday and couldn't look at my screen bc of a headache but I feel better now and thank you for the request !!
General opinion: I LOVE ZAC BRO, he might be my favorite character from season 1 after Ken, he's just a silly guy and on EVERYBODY'S SOUL he deserves all the fan girls he has in canon
One thing I really love and appreciate about Zac is how he's genuinely kind AND confident at the same time, like, usually with famous characters in kid media, they are either fake asf and are assholes in secret, or are in reality really shy and insecure about themselves in some way and Zac is neither of that, like in his debut episode (I think) his whole "Even if you can't outshine me since I'm the brightest star, that doesn't mean you don't deserve to shine your best !!" thing IS SO ADORABLE TO ME ILISM, like even during his rivalry with Akira, he doesn't really have much asshole-ish moments (at least that I remember) bro is kinda a breath of fresh air
He's also genuinely funny imo, his one sided beef with Wakiya needs to be talked about more istg, and I am NOT letting y'all forget "The Masked Blader" that shit was hillarious, I love it, AND THE WAY HE'S EXTRA PLAYFUL AROUND TOKO AND NIKA IS SO ADORABLE I CAN'T
Also, so real for this btw, SPEAK UP THE TRUTH KING
Anyway, I have sm to praise about this guy, his overdramatic ass quitting Beyblade only to come back to it in the very next episode, him basically being a Michael Jackson reference throughout the manga, HIM CALLING VALT TWINKLE TOES, I'd be basically listing them all day I seriously love Zac
It's honestly such a crime he's the only Supreme Four member who didn't return in Evolution OR Turbo, ESPECIALLY NOT TURBO, WE WERE ROBBED OF ZAC AND NIGHTFELL INTERACTIONS SO BAD THIS IS GENUINELY SO CRIMINAL
Opinion on his design: The most Zac design to ever Zac, I literally can't imagine him any other way
As a kid, I remember thinking that it was so funny that his hair is THAT long despite being a guy, but now that I think about it? Slay, it's literally so perfect for him, and those red thingies in his hair? Idek if that's actually his hair or smtg else but I love it
His fit ain't anything special but it's alright bc it's Zac
Also I just realized he has gloves, they're cool ngl but what does the guy need them for actually đ?
Favorite headcanon: This one can be considered kind of implied but yk his whole "I'm so good at disguising myself" but actually sucking at it thing? Yeah, he DEFINETLY got it from Nightfell, like he saw how good Nightfell is at disguising himself and he's like "Big brother is so cool doing that :00, I can definetly do it too :DD !!" and Nightfell didn't want to hurt his feelings so he praised his disguises IT'S SO CUTE THINKING ABOUT IT (also it would be really funny if Zac was the only person who could see the minor mistakes in Nightfell's disguises and therefore tell it's him or smtg... tho that probably can't be possible since I'm pretty sure Zac doesn't know his brother's identity as Count Nightfell so)
Favorite ship: My mutual on TikTok mentioned Zac x Orochi and I was like "...Holy shit that's actually so peak" and here we are (I even convinced my friend who never watched Beyblade to join the OroZac nation)
I hate how Tumblr doesn't give me the option to change the color of the text to yellow wtf

Get Back Rewatch 55 Years On: Day Eight
So Ringo walks in first thing in the morning carrying not one, but two drinks. Either heâs being very gentlemanly to MLH (likely) or weâre getting a peek at his alcohol problem (also likely)
Ringo your boooots! Ugh, I want them so bad. And paired with the shiny red shirt and jeans? Like if Dorothy was rodeo royalty.

Paulâs defense-mechanism overdone charm coming in strong today. Playfighting with some random old man, winking at someone else as he walks by, all chipper and bouncy, boyish and cute.
âIf it came to a push . . . between Yoko and the Beatles, itâs Yoko, you know . . . âWhy do you build me up, build me up, buttercup baby, just to let me down?â Linda grabs his hand and he shuts up. Another on my list of covers with *meaning* and if this one isnât obvious, I donât know what is. Even Linda was embarrassed for him. But hereâs the thing. Heâs so sure that if he pushed John to choose between Yoko and the band, that Johnâd choose Yoko. And heâs probably right there. But what John wants, IMO, whether he knows it or not, is for Paul to push him to choose between Yoko and HIM. Not the band. I really do think thatâs what John wants and the fact that Paulâs not doing that confirms Johnâs belief that Paul doesnât love him.

âPermanently engaged?â *literally starts to vibrate with anxiety* *whistles to self-soothe*
Okay, but, if Iâm remembering correctly, actually in the nagras Paulâs answer to MLHâs âDo you think if you put any pressure on him that heâd go your way a bit more?â is actually âI donât know, you know . . . canât be bothered.â Not. âI donât know, you know . . . and then there were two.â As AKOM said in one of their Get Back episodes, that line is actually a joke not even from that moment. So the tears? Real. The line? No.
Ringo is Not a fan of Paul just casually planning ways to announce the breakup.

Couldnât even get a picture of Paul jumping out of his chair to talk to John because he moves so fast. Poor baby.
I wonder how early on Linda and Paul developed the âshe says what he canât say while heâs goneâ play? You know? I definitely donât think this early, but this moment does remind me of that little strategy of theirs.
âHeâs coming in.â Just now takes his coat off. Meaning he's just now decided to stay? Or he's just now remembered he's still got it on? Either way, Paul's suddenly all easy smiles, relaxed, joking. Johnâs coming in. What could be wrong?

I was literally so pissed when I first watched this lunchroom conversation. I wonât claim to be a nagras expert or anything, but I was very familiar with the secretly-taped conversation, and it was just so butchered and spliced. Also, even if it was just them talking, itâs still not a private conversation. Theyâre in a crowded public space. So itâs still coded and veiled and layered etc. MLH you shouldâve bugged their coats for the meeting at Georgeâs if youâd wanted a private convo. (obvs I donât condone that sort of thing donât come at me)
Paul and John invite Ringo to go see George. Ringo: I was going anyway. Of course you were. Ringoâs the glue, everyone. Lewisohn can think itâs John that everyone had their closest relationship with in the group, but actually, itâs Ringo.
Ringo and Malâs little two-step. Adorable!
See, and Ringo being the one to suggest they rehearse. Itâs not just Paul being bossy all the time, kids, and itâs not just John being a leader all the time, kids. Sometimes itâs Ringo.
âWhy donât I leave my favorite guitar here as a sign?â âLook, look, what greater faith could a man have than to leave his list?â You know, like when that mean teacher makes you give them a shoe or your phone or something when they let you borrow a pencil just to make sure you wonât steal it?
#Not much to say today I guess#It was kinda a blah day for everyone I think and I'm more aware of the editing today so that throws me off a bit too#Ringo is the highlight for sure today#I should be a Ringo girl probably#Oh well#paul mccartney#the beatles#john lennon#mclennon#ringo starr#george harrison#get back
