I am in a constant state of flux when it comes to shipping in BBC Merlin

One day I’ll be praising Merthur on their sassy dynamic & their stupidity with each other

And then other days I’ll see a Freylin or Arwen edit/picture & I go like „Aw they’re so cute & still manage to have an interesting dynamic”

Or I’ll see Merwaine & be SO grateful that the BBC Merlin writers made them meet bc they’re SO ICONIC

Or Mercelot with their solid friendship on which you could totally build an actually healthy relationship

Or Morgwen with the super cool bad bitch x sunshine aesthetic

Or any combination with the knights (a few examples: Gwaine/Percival, Gwaine/Lancelot, Percival/Elyan or EVEN BETTER MAKE IT POLY OR QUEERPLATONIC)

Mergwenthur are just THE perfect trio. Like they have everything. Whatever shit was toxic with Merthur completely disappears when Gwen (my beloved) enters on stage

Gwencelot is the most iconic knight x servant stuff I’ve ever seen (also: hello bi panic)

I read a fanfic with Morgana/Gwen/Lancelot & I gotta admit I was intrigued: you have 2 good souls on the 1 hand & a crazy bad bitch on the other to balance her out

Merdred is also super interesting bc they only have the enemies from enemies to lovers BUT there’s a chance for them to work ok (thank you fanfic writers, you all are a god sent)

There was also some tension with Morgana/Morgause (I know they’re sisters but you can’t deny there were certain undertones)

Lancelot/Arthur (Arcelot?? Arthcelot? Arlot? Arlance?) would also be an exciting knight x prince dynamic (you know the one. Where he says „my lord“ but actually means „my love“ uggghhh I can’t handle it). You could also twist the whole fiasco with their conflict over Gwen into a love story between the 2 & just say that Arthur had been jealous of Gwen OVER Lancelot

And when we’re already here: Arwencelot would just fix all the drama. Not to mention that they would give me bi panic & Gwencelot‘s healthy/calm aura could really make a better man out of Arthur & help him to grow out of his father’s shadow

#Leon could be somewhere too #but I headcanon him as aroace #i just realised that most of these ships were without Arthur #or kind of anti arthur #or complaining abt Arthurs many issues that he needs to work on #BUT I SWEAR I DO NOT HATE ARTHUR #I JUST LIKE MAKING FUN OF HIM #it’s bullying(affectionate)#minee
