Damn you guys I read all the spoilers and still wasn't prepared for episode 41 of critical role

First of all no one told me that Vax was holding Gilmore IN HIS LAP THE WHOLE TIME, litteraly stroking his hair and comforting him.

It was agonizing to see Liam silently playing Vax emotions through all of it. The fact that this happens right after Vax establishes boundaries between him and Gilmore, and then suddenly he is confronted with the possibility of having that be the last term they were left on. Heartbreaking.

I got the impression that Vax just wouldn't allow him self to believe that Gilmore survived because the pain of losing him after hoping would have been too much. And that's why he just kept to himself the whole time.

And then Gilmore is alive!!! And you know Liam really can't monopolize the scene to make this interaction too much about his feelings for Gilmore, but he says the things he needs to say about it, he makes sure that it's clear how he feels and you can read it on his face the whole time.

It's an insane, complicated, deep and compelling dynamic... I love when a ship is so spontaneous and it just clicks and all parts of it make sense, even if it's doomed, it just pulls you in.

No no no, not at all. this is what I talk about:

The queer themes of vampirism - vampires are creatures of hedonism and debauchery who live on the fringes; vehicles to explore that which society sees as immoral, seductive, and destructive and therefore shuns. As part of this, vampirism has often been used to talk about queerness. I am less interested in discussing the actual ethics of vampirism and more interested in discussing the queer themes in vampire media. I don’t want to talk about morality, I want to talk about the “immoral” and the “queer”. I want to explore the use of vampirism as a metaphor for queer desire and sex, like in Carmilla(the novella), not whether or not drinking blood or turning others is okay. honestly I’m interested in discussing everything about vampirism, just least interested in the ethics of it. Also biting is hot. [note: I wrote so much more and went way deeper into it all but it got so long I cut a bunch.]

Impressionist paintings and artists - Post-impressionism is cool, but Impressionism really has my heart. it speaks more to how I perceive the world and was the favorite of my late great aunt, and was one of the things she shared with me so it will always be especially dear to me.

Fictional stories about haunted houses- less interested in what makes a house haunted and more so how haunted houses can be used in stories. I wanna explore our relationship with death, grief, loss, tragedy and separation from loved ones and the feelings so strong they survive death. I don't care for real life haunted houses.
