I chose an entirely new dynamic. I'm hoping for Sonic and Amy to have obvious mutual feelings for each other, whether they become official boyfriend and girlfriend and/or they continue their "situationship"/friends-with-mutual-crushes-on-each-other dynamic. I'm open for Reverse Sonamy as well, but I definitely don't believe it will ever be one-sided as Amy's love for Sonic is a big part of her character. 🥰

I would love them to have the most similarities to the IDW comics version of them, mixed with Sonic Boom and Sonic Frontiers. Maybe Sonic Prime in terms of Sonic's flirting with Amy.

Amy's side of things: Maybe Amy could act like a fan girl with Sonic, but not in the overly affectionate romantic way like the original games, but more in the "You're the prophised hero of the universe. You're my hero and I want to fight beside you on your mission in stopping Metal Sonic." She kind of puts Sonic on a "perfect hero" pedestal at first, and is rather disappointed when he turns out to be a dorky, immature teenager who is constantly making jokes. She thinks him to be arrogant and reckless, and fears he's too much like his metal counterpart.

It's only through working together with him, seeing his loyalty and love for his family, and generally through having fun with him does Amy soften up to him and become his friend. She's won over by his compassion, courage and his desire to help others. Plus, Sonic makes her laugh and smile. 😁🥰 From there, her genuine romantic feelings grow and she's not afraid to let Sonic know how she feels through physical affection and flirtatious bantering (though not in a clingy and overly aggressive manner of her early game counterpart). Her love for Sonic from there is pretty crystal clear, but she's patient with Sonic and respects his need for personal space.

Sonic's side of things: As for Sonic, I do imagine he's attracted to Amy, but is in complete denial about it and even confused by his feelings. He's either really shy and awkward around her and/or he acts like a total flirtatious dork with lots of cheesy movie pick up lines (I'd like a mixture of both honestly 😁😉).

There's also a possiblity that he may act suspicious, guarded and a little hostile to Amy at first (due his traumatic experience with Shadow) and is unsure about whether or not to trust her. I could see the two argue and bicker constantly, which Sonic's family recognise as belligrent romantic attraction between them. Obviously Sonic denies his feelings at first, but overtime learns to trust Amy and eventually softens up towards her, especially when he hears of Amy's own past tragedies. The two empathise with each other over their hardships and pain. 😔🥹❤️

Soon enough their constant arguing begins to look more like flirtatious banter and they start to pick up on their attraction to each other. Sonic is confused about his feelings for Amy at first, but with good advice from Tom (and Maddie to an extent), he finally acknowledges his feelings for her. Nonetheless, he isn't in a hurry to start a relationship with her as he doesn't feel emotionally ready for it. He feels he's got a lot of growing up to do before he can take that big step. Amy understands and kisses his cheek, saying for him to return the kiss "when he is ready".

Throughout the rest of the franchise they continue to have their slow burn "will they-won't they" dynamic. Eventually after a certain amount of movie sequels, they hopefully and "eventually" become a canon couple. I believe they'll definitely be like Tom and Maddie in their relationship dynamic and matching personalities (Tom to Sonic and Maddie to Amy). 🤞😁🥰❤️

Other relationship examples I believe could match their relationship dynamic include Hiccup/Astrid (friends to lovers with a comfortable and relaxed relationship) and Robin/Starfire (the naive but enthusiatic, compassionate warrior girl with the more romatically reserved, shy but loyal and protective male hero who also share a friends to lovers dynamic)

Eugene/Rapunzel are a lot like them in their personalities, while Branch/Poppy are a good example of the slow-burn growth, both platonically and romantically.

These are all my theories and hopes for Movie Sonamy. I hope they will become canon in the movies as I believe Movie Sonic would be more open for romance being as he's more open with his emotions and values his relationships and commitmennts more than his Game Counterpart does. Even if they don't become a couple in the SCU, I hope the next best thing of adding lots of ship-teasing between the two. Whatever happens, I hope that the fans will enjoy the future movies without too much complaints.

You see, I noticed that uhhhh... TikTok has switched on Movie SonAmy completely, and a majority wouldn't like it if there was Reverse SonAmy in the 4th movie (or any kind of SonAmy in that matter kinda [shame on them tsk tsk])

OK I've seen some people be worried so I do wanna clarify something about Sonic Movie 3:

they DO make it clear that the military was trying to kill Maria

the change from it being a direct shot to an explosion was probably to keep the rating low, but they WERE pointing guns at that 12yo

walters said "those are children" and the soldier responded "we have our orders"

they WERE killing that 12yo whether it was via bullet or boom

just bc the bullet missed doesnt mean it wasnt aimed for her and shadow

it was clear that the military killed maria.

shadow never mentioned this to sonic tho which i think he should've bc it's gonna be a jolt for sonic in movie like 7 when shadow's like "did i never mention the military executed my sister" and sonic's like "they did WHAT"

Besides Ozzy, who was Tom and Maddie's only baby before the aliens came along, do you see each of the boys getting their own pets?

In a way yes actually!

Knuckles absolutely adores the larger livestock that gets brought onto their farm like horses and cows. Babybel is the baby cow that Tom witnessed the birth of in Sonic 1 and years later the farmer that owned them downsized his farm and offered to sell Bessy and Babybelle to the Wachowskis. Knuckles adores them. They’ve also got a sour old goat that headbutts you in the shins every time you cross his path. He’s staying there bc he’s got a load of medical issues that Maddie is helping to moderate and no one would take him. Knuckles respects his tenacity.

Some neighbors also have a retired work horse and Knuckles is attached at the hip. He’s HUGE so Knuckles can ride him. They keep him on their property simply bc even with the barn the Wachowskis don’t have the room for a horse that big but he essentially belongs to Knuckles. The neighbors let him come over anytime since Knuckles helped repair their barn after a bad storm no charge.

Sonic is man of the chicken coop. They have 5 including a rooster and all of them have a ridiculous names. One just recently had a clutch of 6 chicks too and Sonic is over the moon. The momma is his favorite of the bunch. She’s black and white and he raised her himself.

Tails hasn’t moved past Ozzy being his best buddy. Ozzy is 11 in the AU so he’s an old boy by this point but he’s still around! He’s also got an aquarium with some fish in his room.

There’s a stray cat that’s been meandering around the property too. They’re all trying to coax him into the house before winter but no luck yet.

Or Knuckles listening to Tails' advice on how to roast the marshmallow right but instead of getting the new one he's just burning the same one even more. And Knuckles' marshmallow caught fire again and he didn't understand why 😂

Headcanons ahoy~ that were too hard for me to tell in one image so a short comic instead |D With lower effort, so no backgrounds and a little less effort on the colors and trying to get heights exactly right. Maddie is also way easier to draw than Tom X'D

I fully support the idea that Knuckles and Shadow are momma's boys, and that Shadow is a physical affection type of person which leads to hand holding often.
