i loved him in this movie. he was so silly and fun but actually acted serious when he needed to. he developed and matured so much. when he decided to give sonic the thing he had looked for HIS WHOLE LIFE because he didn’t want to fight him? because he preferred to trust his brother and his good heart rather than harm his family? i just-

he is THE big brother 🥹 he looked after sonic and tails the whole time, he was so protective over them.

i was 100% satisfied with what they did with knuckles in this movie. the only thing i missed was him interacting a bit more with his newfound parents but i understand there was too much going on.

i just physically need to hear him call maddie “mum” once :”)

edit: also, another thing i didn’t catch since i watched the movie in italian

Headcanons ahoy~ that were too hard for me to tell in one image so a short comic instead |D With lower effort, so no backgrounds and a little less effort on the colors and trying to get heights exactly right. Maddie is also way easier to draw than Tom X'D

I fully support the idea that Knuckles and Shadow are momma's boys, and that Shadow is a physical affection type of person which leads to hand holding often.

They're so cute 🥹🥹 Knuckles is cheering and Tails is reaching up for Maddie and Tom has his arm around his wife and everyone's smiling and in the last couple pics Knuckles looks just as warm and happy as everyone else and they're all cuddled so close and they love each other so much

Gotta count on the freaking Movie Novelization of Sonic 3 for delivering on the aspect of Tom and Maddie being the parents to the trio, most notably Sonic, AND having him call Tom “dad” on multiple occasions and even having Tom refer to Sonic as his son, since we didn’t get them saying that at least once in the actual film,

(Ignore the sudden change from light to dark, I was reading it as my dark theme turned on)

Still bummed that Maddie isn’t included in that aspect STILL, and no Sonic doesn’t call her mom in the novel either…..

How did Tom and Maddie reacted when Sonic told them that he is dating Shadow?

And if I'm wrong ...

Have Sonic and Shadow planned to hace children?

I actually didn't draw for movie verse yet! I get the confusion since I give them separated eyes, but no movie AU yet!

I plan to do some sometimes soon, and when that happens you can p much expect Tom and Maddie NOT happy, like:

I finally had time to write down some Sonic Movie headcanons! Well, more like Knuckles headcanons cause he’s my favorite but anyway-

Knuckles is the first Echidna to be born and survive infancy in over a decade. He’s also the last Echidna to be born.

That’s the reason he stayed behind. He was the only child the next youngest Echidna was Tikal and she was 20 already. 14 years older than Knuckles. She was his cousin.

Despite being the youngest Echidna he takes to the big brother role very easily when he settles in with the Wachoskis.

He’s a mommas boy. Always has been (with his bio mother) and always will be (with Maddie)

He has a hard time bonding with Tom at first because of his bio father.

He loves to share Echidna traditions with everyone.

Eventually when Shadow returns (and moves in with the family) he only respects two people. Maddie and Knuckles.

After a while Shadow starts to look up to Knuckles a lot. There are days where he follows Knuckles around. It’s because Knuckles is unapologetically himself.

Shadow is a mommas boy as well.

Also he and Sonic are the same age and Sonic insists he’s older. Everyone else agrees Shadow is older.

While Knuckles and Shadow are mommas boys, Sonic and Tails are daddy’s boys.

Tom takes Tails and Sonic to baseball games while Maddie has a spa day with Knuckles and Shadow.

More Shadow Wachowski headcanons~ =7=

I feel like Shadow only sleeps well when he's with someone else. So the whole fam takes turns being his bedtime buddy. Though Knuckles gets the role the most because he's the least likely to get seriously hurt if Shadow does end up having a flashback nightmare. And I think it takes awhile for Shadow to get comfortable with Tails simple because Tails' scientist side accidentally triggers him sometimes.

(this is all platonic, please do not tag as any ships other than Tom+ Maddie)

Alternatively while he's willing to sleep alone and tried to at first, they soon realized he almost never got good sleep and often woke up grumpy, or so worn out he wasn't really responsive.
