shipping characters who are just friends in canon is more than okay but what’s annoying is when people take screenshots of them touching and say “friends don’t do that!”. i hate to break it to you but friends do hug and hold hands and cuddle. saying ‘friends don’t do that’ is reenforcing the idea that physical touch is reserved for lovers

I love them so much! What amazes me most about the Sonic and Tails story is that Sonic was a kid himself when he decided to take on such responsibility. And I'm sure Sonic had to change his lifestyle one way or another. But... where did Sonic get a DAMN PLANE???

Can I give a shutout to this animatic right here?

They made me like the Sonic Frontiers scene 100% more than I already did. The original is still great but there’s a sense of… naturalism from this one. Like the bickering from Tails, the bluntness from Sonic, and the way Sonic humbles himself a bit near the end. I don’t know. It just feels a bit more like a natural progression. I also enjoyed how imperfect Sonic is as a mentor here. I’ve been feeling like Sonic has so much more attitude here, and I enjoy it so much! There’s a sense of swag that isn’t gone, but has kind of lessened. This animatic brought it back for this scene and I appreciate it.

It also helps that the body language was better. I believe Frontiers has improved the way Sonic games have been animated because of how much smoother it is and you can tell the animators did their bes, but this storyboard has moments that probably couldn’t have been displayed as well in the original or in 3D. The fluent moments, the sly and sassy way Sonic moves, while Tails is more closed off. Also, Tails starts crying too which makes the moment feel more intense and real. It’s SO GOOD! Not to mention their hug warmed my heart. Sonic’s grown to like hugs and it shows.

Tails was characterized amazingly too. It felt like he was holding these emotions for a long time. The emotional break down is near flawless. Also, the way they give attention to Sonic’s corruption is ridiculously great. You can tell the guy is holding back so much pain. I love it! It reminds me of some old, lost Sonic stories from the past. If you know you know, but anyways this was great and I think anyone can be inspired by this.

I played as Tails one round and killed everyone
