Meet Hadal!

Hadal is… not a normal Ripple Star fairy. She’s half Dark Matter

She wasn’t made out of pure love like a normal fairy would be. Instead, she was born from pure hate during a battle between Pyrite, a blacksmith and solider for the old fairy queen before Ripple turned jeweler, and Rhokan, a blade-wielder general of Zero

Hadal is very social and energetic and upbeat, but… nobody wants her around. Fairies hate her because she’s part Dark Matter, Dark Matter hates her because she’s part fairy. And nobody else likes her because she’s Dark Matter, even though she isn’t a part of the hivemind

She doesn’t let the fact that she’s basically outcast from everywhere get to her though! She’s a ball of energy, and can be very intense, although not usually in a bad way. Hadal can pick up very easily on the emotions of others, and can tell when they clearly don’t want her around. She does have one friend though. A fairy about her age named Chiffon. Chiffon seems to be one of the few who understands that Hadal isn’t any different from a normal fairy… mostly

Hadal does do a few not normal fairy things. She can basically eat negative emotions, making others feel happier just by being around (although not many people would even let her get that close). When she’s very emotional (usually upset or distressed), her face gets more Dark Matter-like. She also stays up later into the night than most fairies

Some of her favorite activities are watching the night sky, making jewelry in her mother’s footsteps, trying to draw, studying the wildlife around Ripple Star, swimming, and attempting to socialize

does anyone have like an anti aesthetic. like something you look at and can recognize as a complete fashion/interior design/artistic movement and understand it but it makes you shudder seeing it. i am not talking like “its morally bad” “its poorly structured” like just sheerly devoid of joy for you actually invites a repulse response.

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest

Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony
