He doesn’t understand why everyone is so happy to see him when he gets back because normally people seem exasperated with him but it’s very nice for him to feel wanted for a bit

Arc V Month Day 23 - Back at Class They Never Taught a Thing @arcvmonth

Before Duel Academy was at the epicenter of the Fusion Dimension there was a world that was free and full of light right? How do you think Leo Akaba took over? What could have happened to Fusion to make it what it is now?

I HC Dennis as being like Yuri's older brother and I genuinely believe Dennis was originally meant to have some sort of strong connection with the Yu boys before getting cut. With that in mind, I really wished that Yuri and Dennis were actually brothers in a way that parallel's Shun and Ruri, this way the connection between XYZ and Fusion becomes much stronger. I wanted to draw this piece to show what I mean, a much younger Dennis having to hide as soldiers attack his dimension, a baby Yuri in his arms.

I wanted to collect the entirety of the Denial-Verse thus far, my canon compliant fics following Tommy and Buck’s love story throughout the show. It's a character study in loneliness, belonging, what it means to be and feel loved, and what steps it takes to finally believe one can have happiness. And while it will be coming back for Season 8 and will probably have a few short stories here and there before Season 8 begins, I wanted to highlight all four of the current fics within the series.

Maddie and the kids didn’t have anything on for pride, much like Tommy himself, but they seemed to find the same pride pin that Tommy was gifted. Maddie raised a hand. “I might have learned from Buck that you were at the stand today, and I thought – I have the day off. Hen and Karen have the day off. Wouldn’t hurt to offer it as an option,” explained Maddie. “We haven’t gone to Pride in a while, and we knew you were working this one,” said Karen thoughtfully, smiling, “So, we thought we’d support your free water stand.”

ok so today i've finished kaos and i have so many thoughts about it (mostly positive) but these are my top 5+1 things i personally ADORED about the series:

1) the furies being butches motorcyclists. incredibly cool and fantastically sexy. i am in love.

2) ARIADNE'S STORYLINE!!! I AM OBSESSED!!! i loved her as a character and i found her role in the story and her character development so damn compelling, she's easily my fave in the show

3) ramon tikaram as charon. there's just something beautifully intriguing about him that had me glued on the screen every time he had a scene!

4) orpheus and eurydice's main theme being "if you love them, let them go" rather than "love". don't get me wrong, i love their original myth and the love aspect of it all but, in my opinion, this change is a quite interesting take on the myth and while i can understand why some fans could not like it, i genuinely believe it's a well done exploration of grief and the importance of letting go when it's needed.

5) andromache! yes she has an australian accent for some reason. no i don't really care. my girl had like, four (4) scenes and i loved each one of them

6) dennis. god i love cats.

stex month day 13: flat top!

favorite actors: SO many. ross dawes is my forever fave but i also love delano williamsen, dennis courtney, luuk hartog, todd lester, mark davis, richard mylan, marcel brauneis, and paul treacy! plus whoever played him in tuacahn, i've never been able to find a cast list </3

i think a lot of actors tend to play him pretty one-note so i love when people balance his jerk asshole side with his softer caring side! plus he's always fun comedic relief, shoutout to ross for smacking himself in the face with his own brick. and how can we forget dennistop's goofy helium laugh. love him

favorite songs/scenes: watching him mess around in freight and the blues is SO fun he's so funny <33 the lil spin and suspender snap paul does is adorable, also love him bothering this poor random woman in the audience with his brick. i mentioned ross above but him climbing around on the set like a jungle gym is so so cute!! also tuachan flats getting super excited to see rusty and waving at him!!

love literally all of his and dustin's interactions too, esp when he waves off the rockies for teasing him ough. their little goofy solo in freight!! <3

AND ofc all of his and rusty's interactions! him being a little shit to poppa and rusty jerking him back by his couplers....peak sibling behavior. love him giving rusty his helmet back after he gets beat up, esp how ross does it bc he doesn't tell him to give up!! he still believes in him!! brb exploding

i also loooveee the 3d glasses makeup but the bit where he just had graffiti scribbled all over his face is so funny like "hey what should we put on him to show that he's rebellious?" "just write SEX + DRUGS" "ok got it"

also brick on a chain my beloved <3 AND in late london where his belt was made of wood planks to show that he's a flatcar!! so good

i also have a fondness for on ice flats. his stupid nail boots. and tuacahn bc i respect the decision to put him in a crop top and chaps

favorite ships/friendships: flatdust is my train otp i love them i love them i love them <333 they have it all....friends to lovers....sunshine/grumpy....introvert/extrovert....good stuff. their friendship is so sweet to me bc they're total opposites and yet! special shoutout to that one boot where it genuinely looks like they're about to start making out onstage

i love him and rusty too, they're absolutely siblings to me and wind each other up all the time but they still care for each other! also him and cb in a frenemy situation bc cb thinks it's funny to push his buttons

his hero worship on greaseball is also really interesting bc it ties into his whole self-discovery arc imo

headcanons: he's physically the weakest of the freight and he absolutely has a chip on his shoulder about it </3 i hc him as a bulkhead so engines tend to dislike him too due to him being prone to derailing at speed, so he's desperate to prove that is he is cool and strong actually!! he's also like 5'4" without the boots lmao little guy

he's scared of thunderstorms but won't admit to it so dustin will hold his hand and pretend that he's the one who's scared ;-; he also helps dustin out in his garden sometimes but he sucks at it so he just gets to stand there and be moral support. guy who doesn't get the concept of seeds and will just rip up whole flowers for dustin to plant

also very rarely smiles bc he doesn't like his tooth gap :( dustin thinks it's cute tho

unpopular opinion: flat top is such an interesting character bc like. he does NOTHING and yet he has one of the strongest character arcs in the whole show! it's all about him figuring out who he is and where he belongs and it's so fascinating to watch unfold in the background. him racing with rusty in the final would've been such a good culmination of that

also i don't think this is unpopular but on my knees begging him to be punk again like that's his whole point

HOW ID REWRITE ANGEL: THE SERIES

(bc i liked the show but i feel like things should have played out VERY differently) (i'm very biased towards certain characters also)

changes start around when cordy ascends to be a higher being and connor throws angel in the ocean

her boredom as a higher being leads to her coming back to earth (on her own accord!!) and giving up her godhood to do so, but retaining outward, physical demonic traits (themed around her brief appearance as a god bc i think the imagery there was very pretty) and this acts as a full circle moment for her character, mirroring doyle in season 1. whereas once she was disgusted by a half-demon, now she is one herself and couldn't be happier. she still has visions and some minor abilities but now she doesn't pass for human and doesn't get to be space-demon-god

connor and cordelia DOESNT HAPPEN. GIRL THAT IS YOUR SON. BOY THAT IS YOUR MOM. PULL YOURSELVES TOGETHER

more lorne. idc what happens with him i just want him to be more of a main character

cordelia and angel have some brief awkward flirtations(?) which are super weird and uncomfortable and they conclude that they love each other dearly, but aren't into each other Like That (they only thought so to begin with bc all their friends kept saying it) (but they're buddies :]]])

connor seriously struggles with holt's death, and has to grapple with the emotional confusion of trying to live with and cooperate with the very man he was raised for the sole purpose of killing. but angel investigations really want him to be ok so they take good care of him throughout, even if he is hesitant to accept

uhhhh eventually wesley does get apologetic about betraying his friends. it takes him a while but he does recognize and regret his wrongdoings

i don't know what the big bad should be in season 4 since i'd fully retcon everything needed to make that plot happen. i like to imagine it would be better though

they DO end up running wolfram & hart. since i think it's funny. and spike's arc remains the same with him returning as a ghost, coming back to life, etc etc. he'd be a smidge different though, a TAD less antagonistic. not because i think he wouldn't but because i'd like to see more of the spike we saw at the end of btvs (it'd be hard to justify with buffy not being present, but i still think it's doable)

harmony gets to be more of a character also!!! she and cordy hang out :)) she also takes her job as angel's assistant VERY seriously, but in that way that only harmony could be, which is to say: not very serious at all actually, but she's very determined about whatever the hell it is she's doing

more hints that angel and spike banged when they were evil because 1. i think it's funny, 2. the implications for their characters and dynamic are EXCELLENT. i would also like a few more friend moments for them. and maybe they kiss idk whaaaat who said that. no but seriously the werewolf girl doesn't happen and instead that plot is taken over by spike. imagine. i mean whattt

more of angel acting silly bc he was adorable in the first season and i'd love more of that

fred doesn't die suddenly and horribly. preferably not at all

gunn gets to care about literally anything other than himself in s5. more emphasis on his resilience? his will to survive? and how that makes him more loyal to the people in his life? pretty please? and he hangs out with wes because they were friends once?

with cordelia not gone maybe they could somehow move dennis to wolfram & hart? or maybe cordy has a new apartment he could stay at? idk i just thought he was fun and SURELY there's a spell for that

basically there's road bumps for sure but at the core of the show is a band of friends. they LIKE each other, because i genuinely believe that's where the show is strongest. i never really cared for the dramatic plotlines, im really only in it for the characters i adore and their (ALMOST ENTIRELY PLATONIC UNLESS ITS FUNNY) relationships to one another. and it's at its weakest when everything's all gloomy and dramatic. so let it be lighthearted and let them be FRIENDS

My thoughts on 8.05 and prediction for 8.06 below the break 🩶

Genuinely one of my favourite episodes of the entire show!

My favourite episodes are the largely farcical ones and this one (Denny almost dying not withstanding) definitely fed into that.

So, here are my reasons/favourite moments

Seeing silly/ridiculous Buck again. We’ve not seen him overthinking something ridiculous like a curse for a while and though he’s grown and matured massively over the 8 seasons, seeing his almost child like wonder of the supernatural is one of my favourite character traits of his.

Seeing Buck and Tommy behave as a couple in a settled relationship (yes I know there’s a hurdle in the next episode but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it in 2 weeks). But specifically I loved seeing A) Tommy so effortlessly and happily taking care of Buck—bringing him an ice pack, getting him pain killers, plumping his pillows, getting up before him to make him coffee and breakfast. And B) more importantly (for me at least) seeing Buck happily accept the care. It’s a fantastic example of how far Buck has grown to where he isn’t instinctively resisting the care for fear of being seen as needy or a burden.

On that note Lou nailed the boil discovering scene. His body language throughout the whole scene had me laughing so hard.

Tommy’s sass. No explanation needed.

Tommy and Eddie teaming up. I love their friendship. And actually I think Eddie needed someone like Tommy in his life. Yes he has Buck and I adore their friendship, but remember Buck isn’t into sports or cars etc so Tommy being into those things and having served in the army gives Eddie someone who can relate to him with the things that Buck can’t.

For all the sassy comments Tommy made to Buck about Billy Boils curse, the entire time he still took care of Buck and was there for him in every way he needed. Even going as far as to put on a suit to attend a funeral his boyfriend wanted to do for a 120 year old corpse. He stood at the sidelines and listened fondly to everything Buck said.

And let’s not forget he stayed at the hospital to make sure Denny was okay.

As for 8.06..

Here’s the thing. If you’ve been watching the show long enough (and actually paid attention) you’ll notice that they don’t often go down the obvious route for drama that all the other similar shows do. (It was obvious Tommy would fly the plane, it was obvious Tommy would have issues with Gerrard being back or Gerrard would make a thing about Buck and Tommy, as examples) but none of things happened.

I’m not saying they don’t do obvious or predictable things but for the most part we’re often proved wrong in our guesses (which personally is one of the reasons I love the show).

With that in mind, we know that Buck is going to find out about something from Tommys past (as per an interview with Oliver)

Everyone is predicting it’ll be something to do with his own time at the 118 and Buck finding out about his behaviour. I think this is highly unlikely. Purely because those who know about Tommy 1.0–Bobby Chim and Hen—would have likely told Buck already (maybe even Tommy himself—we know he’s ashamed of it given his comment about Gerrard not making him a better person) and if for a second they thought Tommy was bad for Buck they love him enough to have said something to warn him off.

My personal guess (for what it’s worth) is that it’ll be something totally random. Such as him being married (totally over his ex but for some reason hasn’t got round to divorcing him yet). Or maybe he doesn’t want to ever get married or have kids. Or even maybe an amazing job offer is potentially on the cards the other side of the country.

Im not saying these ideas are super likely or unlikely—I’m just guessing random things to use as part of my point that I think it’ll be something not as obvious as Tommy’s 118 past.

Only shit thing is we now have to wait 2 whole weeks to find out!

Get Back Rewatch 55 Years On: Day Five

The thing is I absolutely love the album that comes out of this mess. Like I know a lot of people do not like Let It Be, but so many of my favorite songs are on it. One of them being “I Me Mine.” The walz element is haunting, and I can read the lyrics as anti-capitalist even though George himself mostly wasn’t. 

Laughing my head off at two boys from one of the best grammar schools in England, who have at this point made millions off of their writing, genuinely not knowing whether it should be “more freer” or “more freely”

The difference in how George shows Paul his new song vs John is striking. For Paul, he’s relaxed, nonchalant. For John, he stands up and performs it. And I think both are a defense mechanism, poor baby, because clearly, although Paul was very supportive of the song while they were alone, when John is roasting it, Paul just laughs along and George has to go “I don’t give a fuck whether you like it.” 

Ah, the famous “up-against-a-wall” conversation. Paul comes in all dominant and sure. “Haven’t you written anything else? Haven’t you?” But then John touches him, and makes him laugh, and Paul’s a melted, goo-goo-eyes mess. This is the real reason why John got to be the leader isn’t it? Because Paul was too damn soft on him to ever follow through with his bossiness.

Their scouse sounds BEAUTIFUL compared to the stupid ugly RP and MLH’s transatlantic shit.

“And now John’d like to say a few words on the subject.” John starts singing, Paul strums along and joins in on the “chorus.” They can’t communicate like healthy people, but they Can do this. 

So Peter Jackson took out Paul’s bitchy nod at Yoko as he’s stealing her man in real time right in front of her eyes. Unforgivable. But he kept in this adorable laugh, so that’s something. 

Three more covers that I think *mean something* “Stand By Me” and “Spinning Like a Top” by Paul, followed by “You Win Again” by John. Yoko’s sweet little shoulder kiss. Thank you for taking care of the poor wet kitten, girly. Maybe don’t introduce the poor wet kitten to heroine, but you do you, I guess. (OP recognizes that poor wet kitten is also an adult capable of making his own decisions)

The cut from Paul literally dancing to get John’s attention straight to John dancing with Yoko while inside Paul’s head a silver hammer is clanging ominously. I can’t. Followed by the knowing, loving smile from Ringo to Paul. You know, those moments when you validate your friend’s bitchy thoughts with a look. 

George is literally SO big inside himself, you know? You have to have superhuman self-love abilities to watch your friend – who is supposed to be helping you – shamelessly make fun of your art . . . and just “Do you wanna do that walz on the show? That’d be great.”

But did you guys know John was actually a really great mover?

“Yes, alright. Just sod off.” I love John. Paul’s people-pleasing ass would literally die first and he needs John to do this kind of shit for him and John’s only too happy to.

The moment when Paul and John are on the same wavelength about Dennis O’Dell’s stage. 

OK but. Did John get the clear plastic idea from Yoko’s art exhibits? 

“Any time we do anything it’s always got to be the best.” Poor Ringo. They’re all literally so tired of carrying so much weight for such a long time. 

“See, I’d watch an hour of him just playing the piano. Cause he’s so great.” With that fond, loving, smile. SUCH big dick energy here. The others could NEVER. 

“And I’ll have the plastic when you’re finished.” Literally for what, though? John, you little hoarding goblin. 

And then Ringo responding to MLH’s “I love you” with “Yes, I love you too.” Yeah, Ringo wins the prize for most healthy beatle of the day. 

*Pattie Boyd voice* “I just wish I knew what was going on there. But something. Something.”

Ugh, John looks so hurt. So tender. So heartbroken. While Paul is over there playing a damn funeral march because that’s the only way he lets himself express anything. But I actually love how Dennis O’Dell knows the clearest path to cheering John up is to say that Paul liked his idea. And how well it works. They’re literally so obvious to everyone but themselves. 

I love the bit when John walks in on the rest of them discussing the live show and MLH calls, “We’ve decided. We’re going to Africa.” And Paul hurries to cut in, “No we’re NOT.” Because he knows exactly how John can get and he’s going to nip this in the bud before John gets let down. And of course, John is all “YEAH LETS GO LETS GO!” And he’s talking about how they always wish they were recording abroad. “We could be in LA, or FRANCE.” (side eye emoji) 

Paul’s “Well said, John.” and “I’ve seen it, John. I went to the premiere. I thought you were great.” Why do all your compliments to him have to be in silly voices? Like, I know you think everyone is going to call you a pussy for saying something genuinely kind to your best friend, but they’re not, and he needs it.

AHH HELLO THE NEW EPISODE I CAN'T 😭😭 Like where do i even start?! (Spoliers ahead obviously the episode only been our for like an hour lol)

Versoika not telling everyone he was there too. She still cares really, but she let herself get to vulnerable. I don't know why but now i think Blitzø, at the time they were dating, was everything to her. But after it went wrong i think it tipped her over the edge (in springbreak when we first meet her he says he's surprised she's out of rehab, i feel like Blitzø is the reason she ended up here)

The guy that asked stolas to dance was kind of a dick, cause Blitzø and Stolas where in the middle of chatting but he interrupted it which is rude. But ehhh

Blitzø is definitely starting to get genuine feelings for Stolas, the way he looked at Him, got jealous when the guy kissed him etc. It's slow but he's getting there..

I'm going to do these one at a time, since this first answer completely got away from me and just stopped short of becoming a full on essay. 😅 I'll return to answer 25 in another post. 

20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?

What would Dionysus’s family think of Orpheus and their relationship? In general?... Look at the new toy he's brought for us to play with. 😅

It's probably going to depend on the god when it comes to the Olympians. Mortal loves are ten a penny in their family, here today, gone tomorrow. So some may have complete disinterest in Orpheus. I can imagine Ares for example, not giving a flying fuck about a little human musician, beyond taking part in the family betting pool of how long he's going to survive before being, (A) Transfigured (B) Abducted (C) Unalived or (D) All three. 

Other gods may show slightly less indifference though. We know from Persephone that Demeter is a fan of his music. And wouldn't that just be too adorable, her fawning over him like a talented child at a family gathering. While Orpheus stammers and blushes and Dio preens. It's a powerful affiliation that may come in handy, considering Orpheus would have a significant target on his back when it comes to Zeus and Hera. 

Orpheus is the first mortal EVER to successfully complete the ‘cave run’. A fact that's not going to escape Zeus for long. And one he's certainly not going to let stand. We know with Zeus, his modus operandi when it comes to complications is to obliterate them. And at the end of season one, we see Zeus backed into a corner and I believe, at his most dangerous/impulsive. Worse still, Zeus may plan on reiterating his lesson on love with an increasingly rebellious Dionysus. And we saw what happened to Dennis… 

Hera would see this relationship as the perfect opportunity to fuck with Dionysus. She detests her husband's half mortal progeny and Dionysos being in love would be too much of temptation to wound him purely out of spite. They should count their blessings that she'd presently have bigger fish to fry. 

Aphrodite is a fun one to contemplate. What the goddess feels about her youngest brother/grand nephew's?? love life, I imagine like her, is as changeable as the breeze. But Orpheus is such a little devotee of amore isn't he? He lives to love, he's got a tattoo in homage to her son Eros on each arm for crying out loud. That man needs love to breathe easy. If it wasn't for Dionysus and Apollo, (we'll return to that little nugget later) I reckon Orpheus could have easily received the patronage of the goddess of love. As it is, I reckon she'd have a soft spot for him. But most importantly, she'd know Orpheus’s heart was true. And on her more tender days, she'd find pleasure in knowing Dionysus was truly happy in the joys of her dominion. 

I am devotedly wed to the lore that Hermes and Dionysus have a close brotherly bond. And a genuine love and affection for each other. So Hermes may be the only one of Dionysos’s siblings that considers the relationship on how beneficial it is for his baby brother. Not to say that's a particularly positive thing for Orpheus, having the trickster supreme tormenting him, in the name of deciding whether he's worthy. You have to pity the poor man for the kind of shovel talk the messenger of the gods, with his many, many, many talents, could deliver.

And now we get to Apollo…Oh, the complex cyclone of chaos that is the Apollo - Orpheus - Dionysus connection. In myth, Apollo and Dionysus have an equal level of importance/influence over Orpheus. Apollo is sometimes credited with giving Orpheus his lyre. Which could, in Kaos terms, translate as him handing Orpheus a god given talent/patronage. Orpheus was a devoted worshipper of the sun god. And I actually think this holds true in Kaos. I headcanon this tat… 

... That leads off from Orpheus’s lyre tattoo, an intertwined music note, laurel leaf and a sun. Is Orpheus paying homage to Apollo. It makes sense for a musician to pay tribute to the god of the arts. 

However, Orpheus was also a prophet (sometimes THE prophet) of Dionysos. Credited with spreading his worship. And wouldn't that be so on brand for Kaos Orpheus. If he fell head over tits in love with Dionysus, the first thing he would do would be write several hymns/chart toppers about how amazing his boo is. Would Apollo be romantically interested in/jealous of Dionysos’s relationship with Orpheus. Probably not, no. Would that stop him throwing a tantrum about his little brother touching his things/ taking his top spot on Orpheus’s list of bestest gods, also no. 🤣 Let the tug of war commence! … Hopefully with less destructive consequences than in myth. 

What would Orpheus’s family/friends think of Dionysos and their relationship? 

We really don't know much about who Orpheus has in the world coming out of season one, besides Riddy, Dennis (RIP baby) and his manager Calli. And while he could indeed have a close group of friends and relations, him being alone in the world, outside of this little close circle, goes a long way to explaining why Orpheus loves so obsessively. And how he and Riddy bonded in the first place. 

Oh he has his fans of course, and I'm sure their adoration goes some way to filling an insatiable void. But, celebrity is its own curse, and all that love is loud but distant.) An ironic reflection of the gods own relationship with humanity. And indeed in some ways, his own relationship with Riddy… But that's a topic for another post.) 

As for that tiny group who do know him on an intimate, personal level. You can see him clinging to them almost fanatically. He and Calli certainly have a relationship that seems to surpass ‘business’ and strays into the mother/son relationship of myth. And I reckon he overtly treasures that bond with Calli just as much as he did his love of Riddy. 

So, since all he really has left is Calli, how would she feel about his relationship with Dionysus? Joy and exasperation I shouldn't wonder. 

Joy, because you can clearly see how much Calli cares for Orpheus. The way she cradles him in his grief… That's her boy, blood relation or not. When ‘life is good’ for him, she finds joy in his joy, despair in his suffering. And seeing Orpheus happy again, in love again. And knowing what being in love means for his  contentment. That's going to mean so much more than seeing a ‘client’ content. Plus who can't help but love Dionysus? Hopefully some of that affection will go Dio's way too, as that god needs some. 

Exasperation as well, as we do see examples of Calli trying to shepard Orpheus in the right direction, with smoking etc. And Riddy, down to earth Riddy would have probably been an aid in this. As much as one can ever ground someone like Orpheus, Riddy probably did manage to on some level. Dionysos on the other hand…😅 I can imagine he and Orpheus would goad each other on and on, in every sense, to greater heights and excess. For better or for worse. Thoughts and prayers Calli, you're going to need them! 

This is all based on Dionysos being introduced (atleast at first) under a human facade of course. You get the feeling in the world of Kaos,  while people unequivocally believe in the existence of the gods. They're not too used to them wandering around amongst them. How Calli would feel about Orpheus dating the God of Frenzy, well, that's an entirely different kettle of fish. 

I imagine somewhere out there, Riddy will smile, roll her eyes. Mutter something along the lines of, of course, it could only be the God of Excess with you Orpheus. And be immensely happy for him. If we're allowed nice things…Wrapped in Caeneus’s arms.

Somewhere in Manila, 2078

“It is pretty nice here,” V said, and Kerry put his arm around him, pulling him a bit closer as he turned his head to look at him.

“C’mon, just ‘pretty nice’?” he asked grinning.

“Okay, it’s beautiful, breathtaking, astounding!” V said and Kerry chuckled, “You weren’t exaggerating.”

“And this is just the hotel! Wait ‘til you see the city. And the beaches! But we gotta drive a little to get to the better ones. Nothin’ beats the one in Tangalan anyway, but that’ll have to wait 'til next week…”

Kerry went on rambling about all they had planned, everything he wanted to show V, parties and events they could go to, the secret spots only he and maybe a handful of other people knew. Some of it all sounded quite adventurous, and V still struggled to imagine Kerry clambering through the jungle to get to some of these extra special hidden gems. But his excitement was downright infectious. Truly just adorable. V was relieved to see Kerry so genuinely happy again, too, the stress of the last weeks really had been weighing him down. Getting ready for this trip in the background had been his sole motivator for staying on top of the mountain of promo events for his album.

Just three more interviews before we can get on the plane. Just this one photoshoot, and then I can finally start packing my stuff. That one private show, that one industry party, that one red carpet, and then Lee can kiss my ass and we’ll fuck off across the Pacific.

Being here now finally, chilling at the hotel bar and recovering from the long flight, still felt somewhat surreal.

“… - and we really gotta go to Quinta Market later. Gonna cure your resentment to street food there once and for all.”

Kerry took a sip of his drink, then looked back at V, who had been watching him the whole time, a little tired and absentmindedly, but full of affection.

“What?” he asked, frowning slightly, but kept up his smile, the silver lines around his eyes and down his cheeks sparkling in the setting sun.

“Nothin’,” V said, “I’m happy you’re happy to be back here, is all.”

Kerry leaned over and gave him a quick kiss.

“I’m happy you’re here with me,” he said, “That’s all that matters.”

I didn't forget to take a pic of my setup at least this time XD I set this up at Denny's pool (free of concrete thankfully), because there is little distracting Night City scenery in the background that would destroy the illusion of this not being Night City xD But admittedly, the setup was a little rushed bc I just wanted to do some fluffy pics. I could actually spend hours setting up my scenes with all the awesome props I keep discovering o.o

Also: I had Kerry's summer vibes outfit ready since early June, but just didn't get around to doing anything with it until two weeks ago, AND THEN I didn't have time to edit the pics because other stuff kept grabbing my attention instead xD

But there is more to come, I have a whole lot more summer pics ready, all incredibly fluffy... because I need some fluff and knowing they have this in their future waiting for them, while on the side I'm writing the most angsty fic with constant dread and setbacks and death looming on the horizon, you know XD

If the Drac Fam got corrupted by Bendy's Ink:

Dracula: Bendy or Tom-like Boris.

I know there's a thing about Jewish characters and horns/Devil imagery, but personality and Aesthetic-wise Drac has ALOT in common with Bendy/The Ink Demon: Tall, thin, associated with darkness and the color black, wrongfully seen as nothing but dangerous murderous beast, a signature toothy smile, kind of a butt monkey, both having been persecuted by humans, both have a mischievious streak, vampires being thought of as soulless demons, try to act tougher and scarier than they are etc. (Plus, there are alot of Jewish coded characters here sorted as things without horns and goyish characters WITH horns.) However, Drac also has alot in common with Tom too: a loveable wolfy damaged grump who's suspicious of strangers. However, I DO have 3 other Borises.

Bonus: He also has some similarities to a more competent, good-leaning Joey Drew as well, who at least one point was thought to be the soul at the heart of Bendy/The Ink Demon.

Ericka: ALICE ANGEL. Specifically, Twisted Alice.

Ok, this one's probably one of the clearest of the lot. Not only does Ericka ALREADY have a strong Fleisher vibe, but she has the duality of angelic charm, friendliness, cheeriness and elegance with a feral murderous and mischievious gremlin side and somewhat unhinged dramaticism. She's unconventionally attractive, knows it, and is more than willing to use this to her advantage - and is something of a soft dom in the bargain who loves to toy with people's heads even if it's not malicious. She also has Allison Angel's athleticism, pragmaticism, and optimism and has a similar taste in love interests. XD She also, like both Alice's, never had parents and delt with abuse/neglect in some ways by their "creators."

Mavis: Alice Angel or Audrey

Mavis has a similar optimism and relative sanity to both Allison and Audrey, and seems to serve very similar roles for Drac that they did for Henry and Audrey: the hopeful innocent that serves as something of a moral compass to the more damaged morally grey Drac. She also has a similar nievite to Audrey and a similar mischievious streak and emotionality, but lacks Audrey's dryness and trauma. Like both Audrey and Allison, Mavis didn't grow up with a mother and was favored by her "father" and is oddly chill with weirdness. Not to mention: Glowing eyes, zipping around, and the ability to drain her enemies and oddly unsettling/secret badass power despite her friendly nature.

Johnny: BORIS

Loves food, a cheerful-yet-easily-scared good boi, oddly chill with weirdness, loyal as bleep, clashes with his opposite Drac but genuinely likes him as a friend/father-in-law, a surprisingly brave risk taker despite being the least powerful and scary of the group, loves dancing and plays an instrument, something of a slacker, possible Jewish coding... it's perfect.

Dennis: Also Boris.

Taking more after his father and nearly ending up humany, the shy quiet and sensitive yet adorably loveable Dennis strikes me as another Boris. Lile Buddy, both he and Johnny are also chronologically 2 of the youngest here and are both Jewish coded.

Abraham: Bendy, Alice, Dudley, or Bertrum

Dunno if this is a bit on the nose, but him ending up as something with horns would be hilariously appropriate. Bendy kinda comes from his horns and his status as Drac's rival and evil counterpart, Alice is because of his thought he was doing something good for humanity, Dudley for his mechanical aspects, sea association, and similarity in personality and motive to Wilson. And Bertrum...well, he is mostly head and machine XD

Vlad: BENDY

A surprisingly easy one, but with his mischievious/scary somewhat irresponsible nature and secret soft side, not to mention technical villain status for a bit there, I feel Bendy works pretty well for him.

Simon: Boris or Swollen Searcher

I mainly see Simon as a Boris, perhaps with something of a Brute Boris bent. He's a big strong guy and secretly quite dangerous, but most of the time he's a shy sweetheart. He's much like a tougher, more pragmatic and less sheltered version of Dennis. However, his large size also works well for Swollen Searchers.

Lucy: Bendy, Alice, or in @lovelylivelyv 's AU: Jack Nephalem

Being Ericka and Drac's daughter, Lucy has aspects of both Bendy and Alice. She's a mischievious chaos gremlin who takes pride in her monstrosity and power, but is also charming and elegant and generally both braver and not as ruthless as her parents and something of a rebel. Kind of similar in personality and concept to @lovelylivelyv 's chaotic good Bent Halos ship child oc Jack Nephalem - who in Original canon, was an unused character born from the ink machine and the soul of Wally Franks. In canon, Lucy would probably be closest to Bendy, but I like the idea of the mischievious Dhampirica being a Jack in the universe this is possible.
