This night is the coldest night Gaza has experienced since the beginning of winter. The children are freezing from the intense cold, lying under the blanket, with no clothes to warm them, no food to fill them, no blankets to cover them, and no walls to protect them. This is the scene inside my tent right now—only complete darkness, the sound of warplanes, and the explosions that accompany us every moment. The sounds of the military boats are also constant, as they terrorize my children every time they fire their shells and machine guns.

Its Christmas weekend. Its December 24th. Its Christmas EVE. But you know what else it is?? Do you?

ITS FUCKING SPRING OUTSIDE IS WHAT IT IS

ITs gonna be nearly 60F outside on Christmas day. No snow. Stores have been selling sweaters since SEPTEMBER but WHY?? We dont need that shit until January anymore. We can survive the couple random cold days with a hoodie until winter actually kicks in. Yeah Im dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know CAUSE THEY ARE PRACTICALLY NON EXISTENT NOW. Did you want to go sledding or have a snowball fight or build a snowman over your winter break? WELL TOO BAD FOR YOU. Instead you get rain this week.

And its not like I live in a warm climate either!!!! Im in Pennsylvania!!! In the foothills of the Appalachian MOUNTAINS!!!!!!! ITS SUPPOSED TO BE COLD HERE!!!!!!!

Ill-tempered and bitingly cold is what winter is often seen as, with blinding snowfalls and wicked winds that cut into your skin, yet there is also an eerie silence that accompanies the thick blanket of snow that covers the island itself. If you stand still near the winter fairies mountains, then you will hear nothing, for the mountains themselves shield the winter fairies from prying eyes, but shall you somehow find your way to go all the way west on the Firstborn Meadow, then an eerie song will echo in the distance. The sounds are sometimes deep, and sometimes loud and sharp; and always so jarring and cold. The waters on the lakes are freezing solid, and it is the only way the Firstborn fairy of winter can let his own voice trail and form into uncanny songs far too strange for any Big Folk to understand.

Error holds nothing secret during his winter. It is the time of year when you’ll see and know him as ancient and ethereal, and the sounds of his songs will not falter… until the winds of spring are near.

You’ve succeeded in portraying the otherworldly nature of this darling fairy of winter, @aoi-kanna. Error is definitely the strangest looking of the Firstborn fairies, and though they all are so incredibly different and mystical to even other fairies around them, Error certainly has always possessed that special unique appearance; beautiful and terrifying, just like his beloved winter. Wonderful work!

Just a lil more left until finals are FINALLY over (yay) :D

In the meantime, i tried making another small drawing just to keep my mind off things for a bit. Something that came to me was noticing how much colder its gotten to an extent. It then reminded me of another thing too. Putting the comparison of coldness together & coming to the conclusion of how perfect itd be for Shimo to have some fun being able to experience the colder weather herself. She thrives on cold so of course she’d love it & be more than happy ^^

[I promise to comeback very soon (back to possibly more frequent activity here/posting a bit more) but for now gotta push thru the last bit of finals. Wishing the best of luck to anyone else having to still deal with finals also ^^:]
