for some reason there’s a lot of pokemon design challenges going on on twitter and i wanted to propose one too: reimagine a regular pokemon as an ultra beast, or an ultra beast as a regular pokemon!

Hi! I have a cryogonal named Sandwich that I bring outside for playtime when the weather permits (which is most of the year for me.) A couple days ago, it started using Icy Wind and twirling around in the mini-blizzard like a snowflake. I was wondering if this is a normal play behavior for cryogonal, if it's behavior I should discourage, or if it's a sign something's wrong and I need to check in with a vet. I've raised ice types before, but I've only had Sandwich for 6 months or so, and I don't know anyone else who's owned a cryogonal.

that sounds like perfectly normal behavior! it may be a play behavior, but it may also be a way for your cryogonal to cover itself in ice crystals as a form of maintenance, similar to the way some pokemon groom themselves.

cryogonal are pretty poorly understood pokemon in general because they are true extremophiles and aren't easy to keep in captivity. still, researchers have observed similar behavior in wild cryogonal after periods without snowfall. so i don't think it's anything to worry about!

Recently had the absolute pleasure of creating a Cryogonal piece for the @pkmnbwzine project ^^

I thought I had missed the deadline, but was able to slide in and pick up an extra slot for this cool (but underrated) Pokémon! Super happy to be able to contribute to this zine, and check out the project for all the other fantastic artworks!

So, I just had a raid on one of Team Flare’s hideouts and I now have several Pokemon that have been reported as missing, stolen, or confiscated. I’ve also rescued and confiscated some of the Flare’s Pokemon. The thing is, none of these Pokemon want to go to the wild, and they all seem to be fairly healthy, but I can only take in so many Pokemon before I start to get overwhelmed.

The Pokemon who need to be rehomed are as follows:

10 pyroar, both male and female (former trainers were from regions where these can be found), family group so a family taking them in would be preferred

3 male Hydreigon, all mild tempered, they will need experienced trainers who have raised a salamance at the very least, all three have injuries that lead me to believe they were mistreated, so please be patient with them ✅✅✅

A pair of zoroark, both are very gentle and love playtime ✅✅

5 toxicroak, they are surprisingly affectionate and friendly

3 shiny bisharp, they are siblings and seem to be very attached to one another ✅ ✅✅

15 non shiny bisharp, they vary in temperament but none are aggressive, they all enjoy battle though

4 cryogonal, they are very high temper but are not aggressive, they just have some serious anxiety issues ✅✅
