#byler #stranger things #in all seriousness #finn has already confirmed he listens to music on the way to set to get in the zone for his character #millie and noah have said when asked that he’s the cast-member most likely to be listening to music on set #do I think every song on there is byler-coded? no #do I think he made it specifically for byler fans to witness and read into? no #but i do think there is a middle ground here #since byler is happening... yeah there are gonna be songs that get him in the zone for byler scenes #and yet there are also probably gonna be songs that he likes rn and wants to use to feel inspo for filming in general #aka plenty of songs just there for the way they sound/the vibes that get him more comfortable getting into character #but then again he also could have made the playlist private to avoid people reading into it #he’s known for years people have seen his playlists and hasn’t made those private either #so I don’t think he cares if ppl read into it #(at least for now...)#but fr that drive playlist still haunts me to this day #i remember when he mentioned listening to music to get in the zone for filming #he specifically mentioned that he listened to it when driving to set and ppl went crazy connecting it to his drive playlist lol #so i mean who knows #maybe he makes the names confusing/random but also sometimes with a hint of truth bc he knows people are gonna deny it or read into it #and he's playing with that possiblity #but i wouldn't die on that hill by any means.#but the drive playlist is why idrc if people read into the STurn one bc i mean....#yeah those songs that sound eerily like mike's emotions in regards to will probably are that way for a reason

I made a lmk oc

#they’re supposed to be some sort of experiment to see if people could recreate Sun Wukongs stone egg. the goal was to make a more controlled #and tame version using carved wood and cultivation. but eventually they got worried about it becoming too powerful and scrapped it #eventually they come to life and live in the abandoned temple they were built in #their bottom half is made of wood because when they came to life their creator/s left them unfinished when they scrapped the project #they had to carve the rest of their body out of hunger and frustration because they couldn’t eat or move much by crawling on their top half #this is also why they spite their creators and hate irresponsible creation. because of abandonment issues and feeling like they have no #purpose or direction in life #their power is also very limited to due being man made since they were originally a wood carving #meo gave me the idea but one reason would be because they’re half finished. the sculpture was still half stump so it was completely untouche #that half can channel power in its raw form but the other half cannot once it’s been carved by man #so technically they could have the same level or potential for power as the stone but that was dampened #the other thing is how they were created to be a duplicate or recreation of a stone monkey and a celestial looked at that and was like #‘we’re not doing that again’ LMAO #i think the case of them carving their own legs doesn’t take away their power though. that balance was made #before they came to life so carving the legs or not can’t affect it anymore. like making a cake and slicing it #their energy levels are also naturally low because of that so their movements are sluggish and they aren’t very active overall #constantly lying in the sun to charge their batteries and get some stuff done. just like me fr #I actually don’t know what I’m gonna do with this character besides Put Them In Situations with other ppls ocs.. so if you have #a lmk oc you have been warned /lh /j #I wanna make some backstory art for them though.. maybe even the animatic treatment if I can get through dear wormwood which is 25 #SECONDS OUT OF 3 MIN BTW #doodles #Lego Monkie kid #lmk #Monkie kid #lmk oc #monkie kid oc #myart #my art #xin ya

I just found a draft of a WIP I totally forgot I was writing when I was a teenager and it is digging its claws into me

This book is really barely more than Strong Vibes but it had a character that was raised in a more intense and even more soulless version of the peacekeepers in Farscape, like military society, kids trained from basically birth, don’t know their families, but now with Even More Brainwashing and Creepy Cultlike Stuff.

Character doesn’t even have a name or permanent numerical designation, the absolutely only identifying thing they have is a chip in their wrist that is only readable by computers and is used when assigning missions. On every mission you get a different designation number or code name. They are stripped SO completely of any sense of identity.

Character never been on a planet, never even was taught about planets in schooling or taught what a family is or anything even academically. Has no concept of gender because reproduction is completely done in a lab and no biology of any type is ever taught to the grunt soldiers.

Additionally: never heard music.

Turns out they are an absolute musical prodigy the SECOND they are introduced to music

Like off the charts August rush nonsense.

Then proceeds to have crisis after crisis about that because if I wasn’t taught this then it must be heresy, but how could anything so perfect and beautiful not be from god

#I’m certainly not going to finish writing this book but by god I wish someone would #I want to read this story #Vi isn’t even like the main character it’s very much an ensemble cast #but man that whole story line is GRIPPING me #I want to know how their life progresses #also actually READING the draft itself is so painful my teenage writing was SO BAD #but like I remember what I was picturing and conceptualizing at the time and that hypothetical scene is what I get playing in my head #despite the very cringe writing #it’s the Vibes man #there are SO MANY VIBES #I have a lot of visual sets and musical pieces and emotional beats flowing in my head about it #not a lot of words #why am I a writer #like literally fr fr why did writing become my main art form that I’m freaking compelled to do #when 98% of my ideas are visual and music #and I have no idea how to translate that to words #I started writing before I could physically WRITE.#I made little books when I was like 2 and 3 of pictures I cut out of magazines and pasted into paper and stapled together #in some order that my toddler brain understood to be a narrative #like literally why did I gravitate to writing books when words are my least skillful area #maybe because making a tv series is what I’m designed for but don’t have the budget for lol 😂#probably why exodus terminal is my longest running and most likely to be completed project #I’ve written close to a million words in Exodus (most of them not linearly connected)#whereas my MOST completed other work was 50k #most books I’ve started get something like 3k-10k total words #spread over like 5-20 disconnected scenes #before I lose motivation #writing a book series paced like a tv series is really where I’m finally getting traction #also building the exodus terminal video game is getting those Visual Art energies out of my body when I don’t have Word Energy

Happy anniversary of the time I wrote 20k words in a week and got ghosted by the artist who was supposed to make art for the fic lol
