every time someone reduces CAPTAIN !!! elizabeth "lizzie" lafayette down to "a sad lesbian" a fairy dies bc i shoot it with my gun. like you're telling me you were spoon-fed a character that has one of the most realistic and RAW representations of grief and perseverance in the series and all you got from that was "she's sad" ????

is she a constantly happy character? Fuck no! that's acknowledged!! but to take EVERYTHING that she is, which has positive and negative aspects THAT ARE BOTH SHOWN, to take the fact that she is THE DRIVING FORCE OF THE MAIN BACKGROUND PLOT, and reduce her down to NOTHING but her relationships?? ?what the hell!!!

mostly I prefer to play in the space and explore/ build on flavor text given by the books rather than outright reject or contradict it wrt things like races and classes in dnd but once in awhile I'll suddenly remember that canonically lizardfolk don't experience emotions and only respond to threats by logically assessing them as such because they're too primitive to feel fear

honest to god i thought it was common logic/etiquette to, if its a single stall with no indicator, leave a bathroom door open once you leave it. im running into this w my roommates AND at work.

if there isnt a "vacant" indicator, how else am i supposed to know if you're in there? do you WANT me to have to knock and do the "UH-OCCUPIED!!!" thing? if you lock it, do you ENJOY when you're taking a shit and someone rattles the door handle?

ive run into this both with me assuming a roommate is in the bathroom bc the door is closed AND someone fucking walking in when the door is closed bc they think it could go either way! its my fuckin house i shouldnt have to lock the door, THE DOOR IS CLOSED FOR A REASON...

and at work! there's 5 fucking bathrooms, i dont want to have to knock to make sure there isnt a customer in there! not everyone locks the door! and frankly i dont think they should have to because it should be BASIC ETTIQUITTE that CLOSED DOOR MEANS OCCUPIED!

obviously its different if theres multiple stalls but if its a single stall... in your house... or like, a family bathroom without the indicators.... why wouldnt you just leave the fucking door open if no one's in there... it's the easiest and most obvious way of showing that no one's in there...
