Didn't even know this existed until one of my faves posted...

@pamsimmerstories : I've been obsessed with their landgraab gen 2 story since i stumbled upon it a couple of months ago. I'm constantly checking for updates and the one day I don't is when they upload a whole handful of posts! But I've been with them since this one couple I won't name was in teenager mode, and now that couple has three darn kids and one of them is already in child mode. I'm not ready to see time move on! I'm not ready to see their parents meet the grim reaper! I've gotten too attached!

@samssims : Yes, my contestant for the Mildred BC didn't stay long, but I love the concept of a Challenge like this for an elder sim who used to be a star back in the day looking for love after two divorces. I'm eager to see who wins!

@lindyloosims : Let's just say I'm lovestruck over luka, his personality, his rosy cheeks, his quirks and his interactions with the contestants here to win his heart. Lindyloo is great with the dialogue and narration--it keeps me engaged as hell. Also her simself is the host of the BC and I just love that detail!

@saruin : One of the first cc creators I found when i discovered cc at all. Her creativity knows no bounds, and the presets she's created have helped expand my own creativity when it comes to making sims. More often than not you'll find at least one thing of hers in any post I make. Hell, she made a set of teeth with color swatches for the TONGUE. How can I not "stan?"

@cinamun : Things Fall Apart, but not my commitment to this woman's story. I wasn't there when it first started all those years ago, but dammit, i'm here now (since dira's graduation arc) and i'm not going anywhere. From the dialogue, to the characters, to the style of shots themselves, she literally has me in a chokehold. And she's the one who was wheezing and screaming over Kendrick performing Not Like Us fifty times on Juneteenth! If that doesn't cement her as an icon IDK what does! (ironic that hers was the first tumblr faves post I saw that led to my own lol)

@cawthorntales : You all know I live for BC challenges. This man right here never, ever, EVER stops delivering on those. EVER. He always has an established storyline for the character he provides us to make a sim for, as well as a funny dialogue between said sim and the "cameraman" to start it off. I need for more people to know who he is so we can get MORE contestant for his challenges so I can witness MORE of my sims in his gameplay!!!

@akitasimblr : Found her during the Dreadful BC Challenge and haven't looked back since. She is VERY serious about this gameplay BC Challenge business. She gives you CLIPS formatted as live streams with "chat" on the side reacting to what they see. She has a leaderboard with a system to rank all contestants on friendship and romance and etc. And she's currently doing a crossover of the bachelor and SURVIVOR! go check it out!

@novapark : This one right here is a COZY Bachelor Challenge gameplay. Their shots are so deliciously saturated and warmly lit that it makes me wanna get a cup of tea and a snuggie to watch it. I like the style of a narrator popping in to watch all the ways Izan (the bachelor) wins and fails with his contestants (sims are so weird when it comes to their mood switch-ups i swear). And yours truly has a sim in there, too, so that's an added benefit for me, but just off the way they shot this challenge I'd still be checking it out regardless!

@jayveesim : You. YOUUUUUUUUUU. You have ruined me. You have ensared me. You have cost me my former life before I knew of your gameplay. You and that DAMNED BLAKE PARSONS! You've snatched my wig. Mystic Messenger Timeline (Explained)

I'll be obviously skipping a lot of stuff in between, but this is just to make things clear. It's not the way you're supposed to play, just the timeline.

First Rika Behind the Story (DLC)

Then I'll start counting as Year 1, the events that lead to the RFA and Mint Eye foundation.

Year 1:

V and Rika know each other

They meet Saeyoung

Saeyoung leaves

Rika kills the Twins's mom

Rika gets engaged to V

Mika and Rika (Mina) create 1st draft of Mint Eye

V buys the department

*on that note, seems that there are 4 cameras but Saeyoung only knows of one*

**This also implies that Saeran was abused as soon as V and Saeyoung took their eyes off of him since Rika used Saeran as model to defeat Saeyoung's skills as a hacker.

***What happens because neither Saeyoung nor V know anything about Saeran whenever they reunite for RFA parties and their engagement? Why no one asked anything?

Year 2:

Rika meets Jumin

RFA begins (yes, it was Mint Eye first, and the reason why the name was Magenta first. Mika?) June's Route in The Ssum, First Season. According to Jumin.

The Ssum Timeline

3. RFA 1st party is held

4 Jaehee joins RFA

5. Rika kills Sally

5. RFA 2nd party is held

6. According to V and Saeyoung this is where the hacker starts attacking the RFA (first time)

7. Jumin said he lost contact with V and Rika after the 2nd party.

There's a point where Jumin admits barely seeing Rika after the 2nd party. Meeting with her and V for the last time 3 months before her death. Yoosung Route. Day 9. Chat room 7AM called V's eyes.

According to several chats during Yoosung route, they barely paid attention to V being blinded. This of course included Zen, Yoosung, and Jumin (who is worried and suspects something but doesn't intervene despite V having severe corneal damage from external trauma)

8. Rika must have blind V at some point during these three months.

9. Saeyoung installed the Special System. AKA: The Bomb

10. "Rika commits suicide"

Plot holes: Where's Mika? Why they don't notice there's another person living there? It's not that easy to hide your presence 💀

But according to V, he knew about Mika. It's at least implied.

*At the same time, there's a line, I forgot where exactly, that says that both, Rika and V called off their engagement at some point. They don't say anything about coming back together after that. wtf!?*

Another Story

1 month after her death, prologue.

Five months later

*means 4 months after they break up their engagement? Assuming they did not break up before but because of Rika behavior blinding him. Which kind of solves the plot holes from Year 1 setting Mika on the apartment and V not fully knowing but suspecting, although it would be impossible or almost impossible without his eyes do something about it. Especially since his blindness is recent. If you need to understand a bit more about blindness watch my post on Rika killing Sally. It may be a dog, unlike V lol but it's still enough information to set up the rest of the story.

Anyways, let's go back to our timeline no?

Bad ending prologue #1 (Casual & Deep) and #2 (Another) are part of the same story and unlikely that it is set into an *alternative route* like some people like to say. Bad ending prologues even from Another Story seem to fit almost too perfectly when you think about it, but only if you agree to go with Unknown after rejecting him several times.

Because it would fit into the idea that the MC's were captured by the cult and discarded after a while (or put to work under Mint Eye. But also because according to the opening on the Casual and Deep, it would mean that Saeran's been watching you, so does Saeyoung.)

As I said before, the other MC's are either dead or anything but MIA (whatever that means for Mint Eye?) and this one, the brunette, is selected and it's the only one who survives and passed the whole trial. Not at first but it doesn't matter. This MC is not dead. The others are. You think "The others" are just the player with different image? I've got news for you, each one of this has a number~ check this post ^^

Either you become the assistant of Unknown with that bad ending which is an option available for every prologue or you enter Day 1 to Day 4 of Another Story and play throughout to reach:

Day 6 and Day 10 from Ray/Saeran Route which are part of the same ending. They're not a different ending. Both however lead to the Casual Route, Day 1 (after the prologue)

Which means, if you get the bad ending in the prologue of Casual/Deep you'll be going back to Mint Eye. Yes. It's not supposed to be your first rodeo there. And if you have a Bad Ending on Mint Eye, you're brainwashed andd set on Casual/Deep (You're supposed to be an spy, but who do you work for? Are you a victim or a villainess? that's another story 😜)

My theory?

*This is where I'm still stuck, so I'll be fixing major plots here and there and editing this same post over and over until I get it right. Please bear with me 😭*

Rika DLC > 1st party > Rika gets engaged > Saeyoung leaves > Rika kills Sally > Rika kills Saeran's mom > Rika starts torturing Saeran > Mint Eye begins > 2nd party > Hacker attack > Bomb is installed > Rika blinds V > Rika dies > Another Story (prologue) > Another Story (Day 1 to 4) > Another Story (Day 6 & 10, bad relationship both of them) obviously with what causes these bad endings > Casual Route (with bad endings included) > Deep Story (with bad endings included) > Secret Endings (except for V dying, we'll get there) > Another Story again but V route happens first (no happy or normal ending) and then something weird happens:

And this part if I'm being honest, I have no idea but I'm fixing it cause my theory is that

V and Saeran's route become so intertwined that is almost impossible to know what happened.

The bomb on Mint Eye? Saeran? Although it is suggesting in the bad endings that he died, we never saw that to happen.

V dying in the secret endings?

Saeran burn?

Seven does mention a couple of numbers, associated with the other MCs, somewhere in the game. Unfortunately I can't remember if it's on a call or a chat so I'm going back all over again because I was so shocked at the time I was unable to take a screenshot.

Truth to be said I can't fully find the order rn but! I will, I definitely will. I need time. I mean, more time. I've been working on this for 6 to 7 years now, I'm posting this because it's so big I can't keep it to myself and I'm freaking out here. So I'll be editing this in the future. As many of my other posts. Sorry lol

Ironically, Saeran's AE would be indeed the Final Ending.

Additional Note: Because of time travel, Mystic Messenger is a non linear story, which means you need to pick upon clues here and there to understand where the timeline goes. The other games have a similar issue but not as pronounced as this.

YESYESYES I DID!!!

For the girlies that don't know: I was a minecraft girlie in 2021.

And Wilbur Soot was a big part of that MC phase. He was undeniably hot, but he was also quite open ab mental health stuffs + created quite a safe space for minorities whether that be the gay community, mental health talking space... That's all from the top of my head. In short - he's hot and an empath and ppl liked that ab him

He also kinda showed his "quirky loco character" in music vids or just in streams.

Kinda ironic he's now fulfilling the role that character he mockingly made, tho.

What did he do? Well, he was in a relationship w Shelby Shubble and his way of showing "affection" would be to bite her. Kinda understand biting as a way of showing love as long as it's not life threatening, painful, or in aggression... I mean, ChrisMD does that shit all the time to ArthurTV n it seems more endearing than to really do any bads.

Thing is, Wilbur would end up hurting Shelby. Aaaand so Wil said 'hey let's make a safeword for u 2 say when it hurts so that ik and can stop so i don't harm u'.... but when Shelby used that safeword, broski wuld either grind down or go a lil bit harder b4 letting go.

And Shelby's described it as she would oftentimes scream/yell bc it was so hard, and he'd 'smile' afterwards which is mad psycho (term used loosely) imo. Because also, he'd do ts in public??? Yk, with his friendship group around him n Shelby, the lovely jovely couple? Straight out weird negl.

So, there's context.

Lots of varying opinions online which i would soooo love to get into...

BUT DISCLAIMER BEFORE I DO: Realistically, this is abuse, and thus it is a crime. I've talked about this on my page before - cancel culture can be unecessary in minor incidences, and cancel culture can be not-enough in instances whereby people have simply done illegal things.

This is one of those illegal things. So, whilst I do chat about this light-heartedly or for entertainment, gossip-y purposes - do realise that this is a real life problem that has has major issues in many peoples' lives.

Now, continuing with the juicy waffley discussions that ppl like hearing:

So firstly, some of the Twitter memes are fucking hilarious. I do love that under Wilbur's Twitter apology, loads of MCYTers have joined to clown his goofy ahh. And all those memes saying that Bill smelled such a shit apology he returned to twitter after years + the DSMP are like Avengers in Infinity War returning to all fight enemy No1 WILBUR...

But that being said, DREAM REPLYING TOO????

I spoke ab Dream being a groomer around Christmas time + heard loads of ppl out on vouching for Dream or calling him disgusting, dahdahdah... But the fact that sm ppl are turning around and praising Dream for calling out Wilbur's goofiness is acc MAAAD.

Why's everyone forgotten Dream is j as goofy? And an alleged groomer? And just plain? Not even plain something, brodie is just the plainest mf i've ever seen. Ever since he face revealed, his personality j evaporated on out of his body (anyone feel this asw?)

But no, ppl who are now agreeing w Dream to combat Wilbur as if Dream hasn't also committed what is debateably a crime (ik he 'cleared up the rumours' but it's v hard to fight of groomer allegations when you let them sit and marinate for approx 6 months) is fucking WILD shit to me.

Secondly, people are analysing loads of Wilbur's other prev actions too and saying these should've been red flags to Wilbur being an a-hole before we even heard Shubble's solid proof.

And some of these clips of evidence (e.g. Niki saying Wil bites her + threw her, Tommy getting his hand stomped, throwing apple at Techno) feel very valid.

But other bits I do wonder - are they just being over analysed? Yk, like with the clip of Wil shouting at Tommy for streaming + stealing his wallet, i was super sure that was staged as is (j had it confirmed now by the Twitter community note asw lol) and also, whilst Wil's shouting does feel extreme and hurtful from a viewer pov... Having a wallet stolen, place of work broken in to, litr knowing the place where you work to make all income could be taken away from u bc a friend thought it funny to break in n loudly + rowdily stream... i gotta say that some form of anger or upset is valid there. And this isn't to validate Wilbur's assholery, this is just to point out that whilst ppl are throwing clips into the fire and saying "this is more proof Wil was a bad person from the start" - do try see other interpretations of it and form your own line of reasoning - yk - "is this a valid point or is this someone using the drama to get some extra likes and attention to boost their account" (because believe me, ppl would - if ppl would use Techno's death to get more channel views and interactions - ppl would also most definitely use abuse as a means to engage more ppl).

Aaaaaand let's talk about the little Lovejoy band. Ngl i fucken loved their stuff, quite sad to see it go down the drain because 3/4 of them are public targets, now.

So ik we hate Wil for being an abuser. And I've seen that ppl dislike Mark bc he supported Maccies (what did he do fr tho bc i have no clue - did he j eat a McDonalds or what?) And we hate Ash Kabosu for saying it's bad to make fun of those deaths on the submarine...

Controversial opinion but I don't blame Ash allat much??? Now imma explain myself - but pls understand that i don't knoe 100% ab the situation, im v detached from the MCYT sphere of the online community.

But hear me out.

I'm a big believer in cherishing life, life is v important, life is a blessing.... Not from a rly religious pov, moreso in a spiritual way. Because if we only get one life, fuck, it's pretty damn precious. And whilst all those Oceangate memes were haha heehee funny watches, at the end of the day, people did die. And I do find that quite sad.

People say it's fine to laugh and make fun of those who were in there and died bc they were just billionaires who went down there for their own personal entertainment.

Just because they're billionaires doesn't make them any less human than us? Sure, they have a lot more money and are probably a lot more detached from working class issues which the majority of the population faces... But their drowning will have hurt and caused just as much pain to them as it would to us if we were in their situation. And my god, I can't even begin to think about the pain their families must have felt.

Those deaths were a fucking tragedy, realistically - and maybe i'm 'overreacting' here - but c'mon, empathy is literally encoded into our DNA as humans, surely I'm not the only one that can see the heartlessness in just laughing and memeing those deaths?

So Ash Kabosu haterism I don't fully understand, is the conclusion of that sub-rant.

And then I think this is the final little bit I'll discuss considering this is a loooong post:

James Marriott.

Jimbo Mazza, Jimbatron, James Marriott.

Lowkey my big flex, I've been a fan of him since 2020, and I got into his hater-commentary content initially. And ngl, when he transitioned to Minecraft? It was so fkn obvious he was trying to tailor to the MCYT audience to get their approval and entrance into the MCYT community, it made me absolutely cringe - and the blindness of everybody to that fact was insane to me.

Like, he was literally beegggging to be added to SMPs, he'd try and portray this "uncontrollable, quirky" character and would be so "unhinged" that everyone would love him... But ngl, that shit was literal brainrot, and he had you guys (me included tbf, bc i'd watch - just cringing whilst watching) ROTTING your brains with spamming the chat w allat bs that u do on Twitch

Nowadays, I like James tho. I feel like he feels ingrained enough within the community to branch out and not have to play up to the disturbing, disgusting cringefest - and so now he's funnier and having a better time streaming.

I mean, he looks absolutely great too - his tours have him confidence-boosted (rightfully so), because he's in great shape, like, he's genuinely lost noticable fat and put on muscle which has him looking trim as ever - he's grown his hair out into a flattering mullet - Shit, i believe looksmaxxing is the boy-equivalent of the makeup industry profiting off of womens' insecurity....

But the Jimbatron has absolutely looksmaxxed for the best.

That being said however, people saying "I OFFER JIMBO AS A REPLACEMENT FOR WILBUR!!" are fucking weirdos (respectfully but also kinda not)

Bro has just abused people and you're mourning the loss of a content creator and oh no - your favourite band - so you're trying to serve up replacements like a fucking chef that's ran out of a specific ingredient??????????

Yeah, James is less problematic and has 2x the personality Wilbur has- BUT WHY DOES IT TAKE WILBUR COMING OUT AS A FKN ABUSER FOR PPL TO START PROMOTING JAMES????

This is like that whole thing whereby ppl put other girls down to point out to success or beauty of other girls: it takes everyone noticing how bad Wilbur is, to point out the goodness of James.

James litr banned people who wouldn't stfu about Wilbur in his chat in early streams, bc he was sick of ppl following him for Wilbur and who just wanted to talk about Wilbur on James' platform.... I don't think James rly wants to share an identity, or have his platform built from being against Wilbur.

But take-aways from this: -Yeah Dream is cooking Wilbur on Twitter but don't forget he's an alleged groomer + is deffo using this as a way to get back into the audience's "good books" -RIP Lovejoy but some1 explain what Mark did fully + why ppl think Ash is so abominable for showing empathy to ppl dying -Rmbr that this is acc a serious crime, don't downplay ts -Stop fucking promoting James Marriott thru Wilbur's downfall, it rly discredits James' authenticity and original building of a community -So proud to say that after a few months of getting into MCYT stuff i felt as though Wilbur was icky + just plainout didn't like him/got odd vibes -And lol, acc so jarring how Wil reminds me of this guy in my yr - complete mummy's boy, underestimates and belittles women bc his mum handed everything to him on a plate n so he doesn't empathise w them but rather expects the world from them whilst simultaneously treating them like shit, 'radical', extremely 'woke' about modern situations but is so stubborn and refuses to see two sides of a picture.... how do you decenter men & dating? do you ever feel like it's difficult to handle the social pressure to have a partner/"time is running out"?

Honestly, I think my personality has a lot to do with it. I've always been called "stubborn" since I was a young girl and have been making nearly all life decisions for myself since I was a pre-teen/teenager, so creating a meaningful life has always been my top priority. The thought of centralizing my happiness or validity in this world around a phantom man who might or might not show up, or even worse, negatively impact my life – either short-term or permanently – in some way has never made sense to me.

It also helped that dating was something I never discussed with my family as a kid, never had any parental pressure/input on whether I should or shouldn't date, and have gotten next to no questions about boys/men basically ever. Of the 2-3 times or so it has come up as an adult, I set a boundary on my private life and just remind them of the question they're asking if no one is serious enough for me to mention on my own.

With friends, I don't feel pressured to be in a relationship just because they might be or looking for a partner. If anything, I find it entertaining to chat about it when they inevitably start asking for my advice or input on a given person or situation, lol.

I perceive general societal pressure to date for commitment or idealizing a relationship with a man as a projection of other people's neediness that I don't feel the inclination to entertain. If someone enjoys companionship, great for them, but I find it quite presumptive that someone can't differentiate between their personal needs and every other woman/person in society. We're all unique. If you're secure enough in your choices, you shouldn't need to spend your free time convincing others that your way of life is superior to others who choose a different path. I feel sorry for them, honestly.

In terms of "time running out," I think being child-free takes off the burden of this race against a "biological clock." I can imagine if someone wants children, the idea of dating, relationships, marriage, and timelines is a lot more stressful. I'm glad to see that many women who are undecided about kids or are giving themselves time to pursue other goals are starting to take advantage of egg freezing services en masse and speaking about their experiences publicly. I applaud all of you for exercising your right to bodily autonomy. You're all incredible for changing the narrative and idealization of women to become mothers as young as possible.

If you mean worried about "time running out" from a purely chronological perspective, I have the opposite view. Why would I want to waste my 20s – the years of youth, energy, and self-discovery – on a man that I probably will no longer speak to in the next 6 months or 1-2 years? I would be running out of time to set my life in the ways I want if I decided to put a considerable amount of energy into finding a partner and focusing on men (or anyone else's approval past a client relationship, interpersonal boundary, or ethical principle, of course).

Oh you're right I haven't done that yet! Regarding Kirby Fighters 2: Community Edition, there is a metric TON of stuff to talk about here. The dev team is some of the closest friends I've ever had. Smash Tactics is a thing because I was able to test the game over and over again with the members of the dev team. We've spent many hours sharing progressively crazier character ideas. We have created some warcrime moves. (or, well, more warcrime moves. KF2 already has plenty of those) I think, however, the best place to start for CE on the KF2 lore account is probably just a development history.

So it's late September, the year is 2020. Kirby Fighters 2 was leaked, got a trailer, and released all within the span of 24 hours. Soon after that, firubii (you might have seen her before) shows her findings from a Twitter datamine, that being evidence of a 3D Kirby game. "Wow! Awesome! I sure hope it's nothing like Battle Royale!" I say at the time. But I digress.

A few months pass and eventually fish gets in touch with Firubii for I believe checking hitboxes and frame data? We get a few things for some of the weirder moves from characters like Ninja, but the fact that a modder was among us got people excited. The prospect of a balance patch mod was an undeniably appealing one and could breathe new life (and a time) into the game. And one that Firubii was interested in.

March 16th, 2021 rolls around and Fish pings everyone saying that they had set up a poll for balance suggested for Firubii to implement. They also got an all star cast of top players and fighting game expects and colgate and me. because I "have lots of opinions." We're all put into a dev chat and poll responses start flowing in.

This poll was crazy. You had Ninja downplaying Mag like crazy. You had Celica Trying His Best. You had nonsense adjustment suggestions like "Not really that effective." But my favourite would have to be probably Qwertz saying to EVERY balance suggestion box "The game needs no balance changes, only quality of life changes."

So we all in the chat start throwing around ideas while not really getting anything done. This will be a running theme. About a month later I was like enough is enough and starting pinging people for proper balance discussions and locking in changes. There's a few notable things we did for v0.1, including making Sword a LOT faster, giving Hammer Palutena's Lightweight, (the s4 custom move) making Bandana Dee's spears stick into the ground for a few seconds, and making Cutter's boomerangs bounce off walls. That last one was our first real criminal change, as Cutter could effortlessly lock down the entire screen. I spent hours labbing counterplay only to find none and grew to despise the character and suggested massive overcorrections for v0.2. Oops.

Overall v0.1 was pretty good! It had some iffy stuff and launched with a Whip desync in game but other than that it was a success I think. It came out during July of 2021, a little under 4 months from the initial announcement. There's a few public tourneys with good turnouts but run via Parsec and Parsec makes me want to commit violent crimes. Progress on 0.2 also goes fairly well. There's some bad ideas in there like making MK not very fun but overall it's not so bad.

Until development just HALTS. To my understanding, I believe it was something personal Firubii was going through but I don't have all the info. Then again, I didn't ask. Like sure, I'd like to have the new CE versions as soon as possible, but ultimately the well being of the people actually making the mod is the top priority, it's why it's so irritating when people are jerks about CE's slow development. Obviously I want the new versions out. But we all have lives outside of this and sometimes other things need doing.

Eventually 0.2 gets out, at the start of Febuary 2022. It's solid but still has some things that irk me. After a few months, we ask for player feedback on overall balance and specific changes and get not many results. Granted, CE doesn't have much players so balance discussion is somewhat meaningless for a game this unexplored. I think 1.0 fixes all of the glaring flaws though.

At some point, once again, development freezes, and this one was rough. No communication from Firubii led to a lot of dooming, especially with how close we got to actually launching 1.0. We DO actually know why she vanished for so long this time, it's because her house caught fire. It didn't burn down don't worry! But this still caught us all SUPER off guard.

Anyway, CE resumed development and went for a little while, but hit a brick wall when trying to add training mode. I'm not an expert on the inner workings of KF2 but I know Firubii talked to Ryn (yes, the goku in strive Ryn) about it a little bit. I actually posted about this to my Threads account but who gives a shit about threads. That's more or less where we are now. It's been a while since the last tester build but what can you do.

There's also a few other things but there wasn't really a good place for them. Colgate thought it was a good idea to make a tierlist video for a game no one could play. It wasn't. I had to spend the days after that video doing damage control. There was a playlist where people could suggest songs to add to CE, but tbh it was more just an excuse to listen to music in VC while we could still do that. We were gonna move off Gamebanana because the site is run by N*zis but this was during the fire arc so didn't happen. AV also thought it'd be a good idea to shittalk CE and ask to join the dev team in the same day. There was also the time we had to rush out a trailer for Savi's Dream Display but I have a few criticisms about that which I'll share with him one day.

I’ve seen a lot of my fav jikook bloggers being bombarded by antis, insecure jikookers, haters, whatever you want to call them…asking about or trying to claim that JM and JK must not be on good terms or broken up because of things JK has said about JM’s songs or his schedule.

Since I am new to the community, for the record: I do believe Jikook is in a long-term committed relationship.

One of the many reasons why I love watching Jikook interactions is that they remind me so much of me and my husband. I have been with him for 16 years. 3 of which, we have been married. Jikook is so unbelievably domestic, especially in the last few years IMO.

Do you think they live together? You may be wondering.

My hot take: I think they live together as often as they can, given their occupations and being a closeted couple. They probably have a few properties that they use.

Now, on to the trolls that want to use JK’s words as proof that Jikook are broken up, not close, blah blah blah.

There is no doubt that JM and JK mean a lot to each other. There is plenty of evidence of them paying a lot of attention to each other and knowing a lot about each other such as their likes, dislikes, and being able to read each other like a damn book.

Listen, I can do the same thing with my husband and he can with me. Especially since he and I also started dating very young at 18 yrs old. We have grown up and changed over the many years we have been together. These are the big overarching important things.

When it comes to daily details over a few busy days, weeks, or months. There's no way I would expect my husband to remember every single detail I chatted to him about my job, a project I am working on, or what I did 2 days ago.

Look, selective hearing is a thing and it is prevalent in long-term relationships. Ask anyone who’s been in a relationship for over 5 years. I can tell my husband before bed “I’m going in late to work tomorrow” and he will ask me in the morning “Aren’t you going to be late for work?” 🤨

Yup, look forward to long-term committed and/or married-life. 😂

***For those of you with no humor or who can't tell by the tone and smirk of JK, he is definitely teasing JM.

We now know that JK obviously knew about the most romantic song of all time, which was a love letter to him on Jimin's album. (I said it. Mad? Stay mad.)

As for the other songs on the album, Jimin probably didn’t explain too many details about each and every song. Jimin seems to get very shy when he is creating music. I can relate because I hate sharing my unfinished art and creative endeavors with anyone let alone my husband who is my best friend. The creative process can sometimes be very delicate depending on your personality and we know Jimin is very hard on himself and has a lot of self-doubts. Again, I can relate.

Lastly, when you are suddenly very busy and have little or no time to spend with your partner one of the LAST things you wanna do when you are with them is talk about work. Ugh.

Jimin and Jungkook are musicians and that is their job. They are part of the few who have been able to build their career from their passion which they love, but it is still considered work.

I’m sure when they have quality time together, they want it to be about enjoying each other's company. Not about work 24/7. Especially since evidence has shown they are the type of couple that enjoys spending a lot of time together.

Sunny's roleplay rules

Hello! I'm Sunny. I am an 18+ years old and am hoping to find one rp partner who wouldn't mind doing a long-term or short term rp. I will only accept 1 person at this time. I am currently unable to comitt to more than one new rp partner.

Requirements/Rules:

1) Please be older than 18 as I'm also older than 18 (preferably 20+). Main characters used must also be 18+.

2) Can reply in 3rd person perspective and with 3 or more paragraphs. I am really hoping to do a platonic, found family rp but I may consider romance if the character dynamic interest me. At this time if there is romance I can do mxm, mxa, axa, fxf and mxf (me as the male role). Please note that I prefer slow burn relationships if the characters have chemistry. I like building romance rather than having it exist from the start.

3) Can contribute to possible worldbuilding and adding on ideas to the plot. If my rp partner is enthusiastic about the rp, I will be too. I have no problem sending the starter and coming up with plots but it gets tiring when I'm the only one putting in work. Someone who can also play multiple background characters is a plus.

4) Able to send at least 1-2 responses per week or bi-weekly. I understand if you need longer time to reply as life happens and we all have responsibilities offline.

5) Is fine with ooc chat. I like getting to know my rp partners and possibly becoming friends. ^^ Let's make headcanons about characters, talk about what-if scenarios, and create pinterest boards (if applicable). I also love sharing songs that reflect relationships between characters or possible character songs.

6) Is patient. Please do not spam me with messages asking where I am or if I'm going to reply soon. I have responsibilities offline so I won't be online every moment. I also recently lost a family member so sometimes being online daily may not be plausible. I stress this because I've had experience with impatient rp partners. I will do my best to reply back but I may take longer depending on what goes on my life. If I don't reply back in two weeks, feel free to send me a message. If anything will affect my response time (e.g. response taking a month or more), I will let you know as soon as I can.

7) I design and draw my own ocs. If I share my art, I only ask that it not be posted anywhere else or claimed as your own. I don't always draw but when I do, I enjoy exploring different aspects of my characters.

8) I can't believe I need to make this a rule but considering past experiences... Please note that if our characters are in a relationship, it doesn't mean that we are in one. I am not my ocs and I am in a committed relationship irl. I say this because I've had issues in the past where an rp partner viewed the relationship between ocs as a geniue realtionship.

Ding Bochen, formerly known as: Manor, Zhuang Haiyang, aliases: Dazuo Axe, Fighter Against the Village. The main reasons why Zhuang Haiyang (Ding Bochen) blasted the vulgar wiki at that time was that he had no money, and the second was that being a webmaster was useless to him. After all, the vulgar wiki strictly prohibited hanging people without a valid reason at the time. He was a master of internal fighting, which means hanging. Outsiders have no practical meaning to him at all, and many of his friends are on vulgar wikis, wishing to delete all black history passwords, the happiest person. Lin Shangjun, a vulgar little ghost who follows the trend and hurts others, has been on the wiki for his former master Bai Mo and other followers, just because this person plays well with Zhuang Haiyang so he can follow him? 3. Yu Chaoyi, pretended to commit suicide and tricked a group of people to transfer Zhuang Haiyang to his heart and soul. This person didn't go up, but he was persecuted by blue q. The real depression TV chef who didn't hurt anyone went up? ? ? Let me tell you from here that you stand up for some real persecuted people who have been used as dagger cards, and don’t call them vulgar dogs. The happiest few of you will be editors with you on the station Find someone to take the blame for the joke. Groups of relatives and friends on some platforms are also popular. I don't generally make this kind of thing a habit, but I think if you happen to be on the Crystal RP Discord, aka @crystal-rp-ffxiv, you should probably be aware of this kind of behavior, so here goes.

If you're on Crystal RP and the admin team decides they don't like you, you're going to be living under a microscope while they wait for you to mess up, if not bait you, probably while making up conspiracies about you as well. As for how I know this, I was a moderator for about a week's duration and saw it first-hand.

Unapologetically lengthy post. Receipts in the link above, long version below the cut.

From the first time I looked in the mod chat I knew something was wrong. I read backwards in the channel, thinking I'd acclimate myself and see what kind of rules precedents had been set and that sort of thing. I mostly just found out that they had it out for a particular member (at the time using the name Jericho) for not much reason. They'd spent a troubling amount of time over the past few months watching him and another member like vultures, believing them to be the same person and waiting for them to make some kind of mistake that would justify banning both of them...despite keeping different schedules, having different personalities and typing habits, and visibly being two different people. The admin team had come to the conclusion that Jericho was a troll who wanted to make them look bad, and anything he said or did was scrutinized to a ridiculous degree for evidence that would corroborate their belief.

Except none of the things they believed at all were true: he'd had a minor argument via DM with the head admin Benjimir Thursby's wife, Tessariel Aerlinn, who had made an overly broad statement about anime and Asian culture. Jericho had told her that overgeneralization about 'Asian culture' is potentially racist, and she became extremely angry, saying that because she's Asian, she can't be racist against Asians. After that, it seemed that Jericho was considered fair game for whatever retaliatory actions the two of them could justify.

Even a cursory glance at actual racism in Asia pokes Tessariel's statement entirely full of holes, and having personally read the conversation I didn't see anything actually inaccurate in his statement even if she believed it didn't apply to her. I asked what he had done that would merit such a response, because it felt very disproportionate to anything I'd ever seen him do publicly, and that was what I was told. The exchange via DMs had been screencapped and kept in a channel for evidence, and while I didn't get a copy of it, I did read it, and I said that I thought it sounded awfully one-sided and punitive and would have been much better as an actual conversation. I also expressed that I was concerned how much of the channel had been solely devoted to what was basically a witch hunt, considering that some of the server members had over the course of the past couple of months commented that the admins' behavior towards Jericho seemed biased.

I basically got a pat on the head and told that my opinion was "valued" but wrong. This would happen a lot over the course of the week.

Shit continued to escalate. Their favorite punching bag, who was acutely aware of the grudge by now and probably trying to be nice and discuss something that he thought they could all talk about, brought up some articles that stated that LOTRO might be having a graphical overhaul. This actually ended in him being put into some kind of time-out mute, because "everyone knows those articles are debunked already" despite them still being hosted on reputable games news sites. Back-channel, the admin consensus was that he was in fact trying to bait Benjimir and Tessariel into somehow looking stupid in public, because [paraphrasing] 'he knows how important LOTRO is to them.'

Benjimir in fact went off publicly about how he knows the dev team and they sent him 'personalized swag' for 'being himself' and that everyone should just listen to him because he's right. Someone else made a reasonable request for sources on statements that Benjimir made about the LOTRO improvements not happening, and they immediately became the team's private #2 punching bag.

The whole time I reiterated that this was really uncomfortable and I had serious concerns about the way they were handling Jericho. And as always I received a pat on the head and was told to not worry about it, there were really good reasons for it, really. He was 'bringing down the quality of discourse' on the server somehow. Benjimir decided that the only way he would unmute Jericho is if Jericho talked directly to him, and that Jericho tried to talk to any of the more level-headed members of the team first was taken as obvious evidence that he wanted to evade rules and create problems. I asked when we planned to unmute him, and Tessariel immediately jumped to the conclusion that he had messaged me, which wasn't incorrect but the way she worded it felt highly accusatory and I was beginning to feel that I was also in trouble somehow for not agreeing with the rest of the team.

Things came to a head quickly when I woke up and looked at the mod chat and they were having an animated conversation that started with Benjimir asking if it was 'bad that he was laughing at Jericho' and most of the rest of the team talking about how he was stupid, uninformed, a troll, etc. for the sin of having some misgivings about cryptocurrency, of all the things. One of the mods self-described their behavior as bullying. I said that this was extremely unprofessional and that I thought they should keep conversation to actual moderation matters, and if they had a personal disagreement with a server member they should handle it in a personal venue, not via official server moderation channels.

I was, for the final time, patted on the head, and told that this was not something they would consider, because the moderation team 'needs to be able to vent for their mental health' (never mind that the job was not stressful except for the rest of the team committing worse behavior than the server members) and that maybe I was in fact too sensitive for the job. Benjimir heavily implied that I had become too close to Jericho and was being manipulated, managed to misgender me somehow despite my having used solely male or neutral pronouns the entire time I'd been on the server, and after relating a story in which a couple of years ago a well-liked moderator left after having the same complaints as I did (which he saw nothing at all troubling about), suggested that I should be demoted to babysitting the lore channel.

So I took some time to collect receipts, which are linked at the top of the post, and told him where to shove it.

Since that time, things have actually somehow gotten worse on Crystal RP. Benjimir posted an entire page screed vaguely talking about "rampant negativity" that stated anyone with questions should DM him.

Upon DMing him with questions, Jericho was banned, the only reason given being that he was a 'poor fit' for the server in some vague way. I was immediately banned afterwards for calling out this decision as being driven by a personal vendetta in the feedback channel and let him know afterwards via DMs in no uncertain terms that I had logged everything I needed and would be building my case (and that he is an asshole). Jericho was reinstated, though I'm not sure what the conditions of his return were as that was after my ban and I didn't ask since I didn't want to stress him out further. Benjimir also reprimanded someone for discussing asexuality, stating in a DM to them that the conversation was somehow ERP related. I called him out on this via DM as well. Tessariel was not much later caught posting my last DMs to Benjimir in an entirely unrelated server, though she didn't include the part after that where I brought up his aphobia (during Pride Month, in a server with a rainbow icon no less). Benjimir for some reason decided to suddenly start following my FC's Tumblr well after our falling-out.

And as of today (6/24), Crystal RP now has seven pages of draconian rules, because it wasn't micromanaged hard enough before or something. Notably, a lot of these rules describe behaviors that they wanted to punish Jericho for but couldn't at the time justify, or that they'd like to punish me for but have nothing they can do to me. Or they exist to justify their own behavior, as now seen in the very beginning of the channel:

"This approach also provides our volunteers with leeway to act in good faith without the burden befitting a professional occupation."

"So we afford them the means to speak openly, vent, lament, candidly and yes, sometimes crassly and raw about everything and one."

Not only did they behave unprofessionally and shit-talk before, they have now encoded in the rules that this is acceptable and even good moderator behavior, because they saw someone else do it so it's fine (a lot of this wording is very similar to what I was told when I protested it). So rather than address anything I ever said past or present, Benjimir is choosing to double down and giving himself and his team explicit permission to be shitty, right in the opening paragraphs where you'd have expected a mission statement or at least some sort of welcome.

Which is about all you need to know about that server and its owners, in my estimation. I'd considered not even posting to Tumblr about it, but given that it's only getting worse, I think it should be generally known that this is how you can expect to potentially be treated.

How to support your friendly neighbourhood independent podcast (on a budget)

As podcast and audio drama fans and creators, we know how difficult it is to grow a podcast, and how easy it is for listeners to think they can't help without a bucket of money to donate or an influencer-level platform. So here is our list of ways you can make a big difference with a small contribution!

#1 - Interact interact interact

Never underestimate the power of screaming on your social media of choice and sending the creators comments, asks and emails. The first will encourage your followers to listen, and the rest will give the creators mountains of joy and motivation.

#2 - Rate and Review

As well as a motivation boost for the creators, this might be the deciding factor for anyone on the fence about trying out the podcast.

#3 - Rave to your friends!

Look, posting on social media might bring more exposure, but nothing is as effective in actually making people listen than the act of bullying your friends. Trust us, we've done it. Many times.

#4 - Make fanart, fanfiction and memes

Again, this will make the creators' year, and potentially incite curious followers to check out the source.

#5 - Follow/subscribe to the podcast

A small click of a button can help your favourite podcast creators know how much of their listener-base is in for the long haul, and potentially become an asset for them to find sponsors and other financial opportunities.

#6 - Even a tiny financial contribution goes a long way

For as little as £1 (or equivalent) per month, you can make a huge difference for a podcast's financial security, especially if it already has a tiny budget. To give you an idea, a cheap hosting site subscription comes in at about £10 a month, which means ten individual patrons pledging £1 a month might be enough for the creators to feel confident they can keep affording to release their podcast for the forseeable future. If, like my mother, you have commitment issue (or simply don't know whether you can afford to pledge every month), I have good news for you! Your favourite pod probably has a way for you to make individual donations! These can build treasury and ensure there is a fallback in case patron numbers suddenly drop.

Pirde Minecraft Server (Early Sign-Ups Available)

Almost about a month ago, I made 2 posts about my Minecraft server builds for a pride server I created. That server was corrupted (because sometimes mods and online servers don't always mix well), so we had to scratch it. But we came back better than ever!

This server will be sort of private, but I'd like to invite a certain number of people so the server doesn't become insanely busy but still has things happen, ya know?. It's already 3 people (OPs), my sibling, my sibling's cousin, and me. And we might have a few friends join too, but I'd like to start with a max of 15 players.

Overall, I suppose I could say this server is like a roleplay? Of course, certain rules do apply even while in character. But we're here to make lore, story, fun moments, and probably a lot of chaos. So please consider joining!

For other players who are not OPs, we will have two modes to choose from throughout their adventure. Survival and Adventure. Each mode has its perks and downfalls, the main one is where they're able to go and do. Survivors get nothing in the wilderness... unless they pledge allegiance to an OP (or in our server, we're calling them gods). Which are considered Factions, which are three of. For each type of world (Overworld, End, and Nether). Adventurers can get anything they want, whether pledged or not. They have already made homes and limitless supplies, but cannot fight or build like survivors. Survivors cannot return (for the most part) to the main kingdoms or spawn areas, and Adventurers cannot be in survivor territory. A choice up to the individuals and they can always switch if needed.

Factions are like making an alliance but as a group rather than an individual. People can betray their alliance for another, or individually. Even if their Discord role says their faction they can still work for another. Until they commit treason, a faction leader (OP/god) will remove their faction role. Being in a Faction has perks and disadvantages, especially if you're a survivor (unless you are chaotic). You are gifted things by the Faction leader if you ask them things. And as a survivor, you can shift the alliance between factions depending on what you do to other factions (either as a group or individual).

Adventure areas are still being built and we're working out "the beginning" lore and stuff. It's going to be a process, but I welcome people who are willing to join ahead of time. Yes, I'm doing early sign-ups! But do make sure to consider this offer beforehand. We would prefer long-term people to join (it's okay if you get busy, just chat now and again with us), that way we can have a consistent story and not having people leave the server constantly. I will be doing YouTube videos eventually about the server. Mostly lore stuff or builds. Maybe some survival? I'd like to do some survival on the server myself too. I have a lot of plans for this! It will eat up my time most likely.

There's a lot to consider in the future if this gets popular, mainly because this server is done through Exaroton and is paid through credits per hour it's online. And more people who are willing to join cost more to keep the server running smoothly.

Pictures are little weird, but I'm using a different PC from my regular at the moment. I'll be back on my normal PC in about a week or two, so I'll have to wait on YouTube videos and quality photos. But, I'm able to build, create lore, and talk to people.

TWDG S4 EP 4 HIGHLIGHTS AND THE GREATEST BAMBOOZLE OF ALL TIME.

I'm kind of late to the party cuz I couldn't play the episode till now and I basically used way less social media trying to avoid spoilers so thanks walking dead. So yeah. Its a long post and I want it here, so I can maybe read it years later and cry like a little bitch.

Violet: fuck, you...

me: indeed, fuck. me.

*James gets pissed off at Clem for making AJ kill Lilly*

me: I DID THIS FOR YOU.

*meets violet*

me: fuck yes boo, ur alive and u here for me.

*Clem has a wholesome chat with boo*

me: *feels Light and happy and knows for sure its not for long*

*Clem negatively answers a little angry at Violet suggesting Texas as the new name for boarding school*

me: pls don't tell me the real villain here is going to be Clem, because she will lose it or some shit.

*Clem smiles at Texas 2 suggestion*

*me happy knowing Clem is fine and is just a little tired*

*hears the night will be over soon being sung*

me: omg omg omg omg is Sophie actually alive? Omg maybe Minera never killed her and Minnie actually still had a heart OMG. (BOY WAS I WRONG)

*literally seconds later Violet dies because I didn't trust AJ making calls*

*RESTARTS THE WHOLE EPISODE JUST TO SAVE MY BOO, while wondering whether this choice will make aj into a murderer or a psycho and ill have to change my choice just so I'm a good parent*

*gets to the same scene again everything is fine and then the little mountain climbing scene*

me: fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck, I swear to god if she gets bit ill fucking kill myself.

*seconds later Clem gets bit*

*me in denial*: haha her boots are as hard as steel, and the zombie bit the beginning of the shoe not the cutten place where the wound is at.

*Clem verifies she's been bit*

me: *starts crying for the majority of the remaining episode* (like I cried so fucking mucg and I felt sick, I had to take a break and I felt so dead inside during it)

When AJ and Clem got into the barn, I still had hopes that like we have time and shit, (I even ended up replaying the sequence just to change my choice from kill Clem and let her become a walker because I thought what if that way she gets a chance to live and I don't end up accidentaly killing her) but everytime I'd see Clems skin getting whiter and whiter and I'd end up crying more and more. It was fucking awful. And then the whole lessons thing. Fucking hell. And when they cut the part where AJ just swings his axe at Clem I was like: don't do this to me, fuck no. Fuck off everyone.

And then I cry because its the Ranch bit and I'm like I don't want to do this anymore and then I see AJ traumatised and crying and then I cry and I cry once again they have their bonding moment.

And then it just cuts to AJ fishing and I didn't manage to get even 1 fish, but then it hit me, Clementines hat is still missing and I cried once again upon seeing it ROWING MERRILY DOWN THE STREAM (IF U SEE A LITTLE MOUSE DON'T FORGET TO SQUEAK) yes I did sing the E3 trailer song a little and I cried even more because of it. And I thought for sure Clem was dead, but I still had so much dumb hope that, hey maybe she's alive, hahaha, but like big part of me thought that it was not true and it never will be. And then TAKE US BACK starts playing and I start to cry again and fuck me. For the whole song I crossed my fingers hoping it wouldn't end just like that and it didn't. AJ got back and then CLEMS VOICE SAYS GOOFBALL and I thought oh no, he's hallucinating isn't he? And THEN I FUCKING SEE HER WITH THE LEG CUT OFF AND I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY I START TO CRY AGAIN.

I cried.

I cried so fucking much after the whole bridge part like Holy shit. And then everything turned out to be okay. Clem was happy, I was happy and just before putting Clems hat on the table I thought : everything has a beginning and everything has an end, right? And I teared up a little, but honestly I liked the way her story ended. Even tho I went through a lot of pain (I'm sure all of us did) UHHHH. I was so angry at Minnie that I wanted her to commit reverse birth :( but it's not really her fault, so then I wanted Lilly to commit reverse birth, but then. Once again. I realised its not her fault either. It's the fucking zombies and the way world is. Would Lilly kidnap kids if no apocalypse? Probably not. Would have Violet had a healthy relationship with Minnie? Maybe. Would have Clementine lead a happy life? Maybe. Would have AJ even been born into this world? Who knows. Would have Lee just ended up being a criminal never meeting Clem and maybe changing for the worse? Well, maybe. WOULD HAVE CLEM EVEN GOT A CHANCE TO MEET EVERYONE AND GET JUST AS CLOSE WITH EVERYONE? I sure fucking hope so. Lmao. There's so fucking much, I would create wattpad just to write what I feel about TWDG right now, cuz I feel a fucking lot.

I ended up writing a whole paragraph up there and I messed up the "highlights" order so yeah.

Clementine: I'm glad I trusted you to make the right calls, otherwise I'd be dead.

*me while crying*: the 30minute replay of the beginning was worth it. (or was it, maybe Clementine would just say, gomen goofball for not trusting you, I'm glad u made the right call or smt)

Also this was indeed a greatest and worst bamboozle I had to go through. But I'm not mad. I'm thankful that Clem didn't die, because I'm more than sure I would have been extra depressed for at least a week or month.

So, thank you Skybound, Telltale. I fucking love you guys. ❤️

Ermanda's Inner Sanctum: Scorpion 3.18 "Don't Burst My Bubble"

This is another solid episode for February sweeps! We have a good wrap on some arcs and get more development on continuous ones. This episode also has great team feels like those from episode 3.12 Ice Ca-Cabes! I am going to address the consequences of choice with the most prominent moments of this episode. I have talked about this in previous reviews with a ship or one character, but the theme is so apparent for everyone! Let's go there!!!

Sylvester

Sly loses the election. Boo! However, the results are not surprising after the release of Patel's social media mudslinging ad. Major shifts occur when veterans of the armed forces are pulled into any political sphere. But his pursuits introduce him to new people that would have never realized his political potential, his bravery, and his genius. While Sly may not be Alderman of W. Altadenia, I hope this election cycle encourages him to do more in his community beyond filing the Warlock's Chest as a building protected under the historic zoning commission!

The Consequences of Choices

Relationships are hard. This is why those committed must continuously work to sustain them. People change along with situations. The choices we make in love, whether platonic or romantic, determine the course of our relationships with others and our lives as individuals. This is true of the ships in this episode, Taige and Callie. Both of these relationships have their challenges - Paige and Tim's transition to long-distance and Cabe and Allie's age gap. But in the end, the individuals who make up these pairings decide to end their unions because of choices surrounding occupation. Happy and Walter realize that they are capable of beating the odds when his comes their EQ. The choices they make in all manner of friendship prove to serve them well.

Cabe

Cabe has been alone for 20 years, so he is initially apprehensive and rusty when it comes to asking Allie out on a date. Additionally, they are campaign rivals. Despite Cabe's concerns over their age difference, they choose to make it work and accept one another as they are. Yet, Allie's choices as campaign manager for the opposition place a strain on their relationship. Allie has made it known that she works with Patel for the money even though he's not a great boss, but she performs some really great gestures for Sylvester to have a real shot in the Alderman election. However, her good deeds are squashed when she chooses to follow Patel's orders and uploads a smear ad of Sylvester that negatively impacts his image. Cabe is shocked that she would upload something so falsified! Allie could have declined, but she chooses her job anyways. This pushes him to do the same and end things with Allie. Cabe is loyal to the geniuses and Paige who are his surrogate children and he doesn't want to contradict the lessons they learn from him as a father figure. It's unfortunate for Cabe because it has been so long, but I have hope that he will find someone better.

Paige

Paige has a somber conversation with Tim at the top of the episode. No specifics are given in that moment, but we can deduce by Paige's behavior that things are not good between them. She reveals at the end of the episode that she and Tim break up because they realize things would not continue to work between them long-term, especially with Tim's 8-month service extension job offer. This result is not surprising from a character perspective. Toby once alluded to this possibility in 3.11 Wreck the Halls. He said that men like Tim are not desk workers; they thrive in leadership roles. Granted, we have not heard much about Tim since his departure, but it seems as if he found himself in a place he calls home and one of them would have to make a job sacrifice in the future that would end in a win-lose situation. Plus, we are left to assume that the split is amicable given that Paige says it's a decision upon which they both agree. There's not enough dialogue from canon to suggest otherwise. Yet, this choice leaves Paige in a heartbreakingly familiar place. The father of her child, Drew, chose to chase after his baseball career instead of handling his responsibilities as a father. He abandoned Ralph and her. Even though Tim doesn't do the same in this situation, Paige has encountered two romantic situations where occupation is a relationship stumbling block. And it hurts to deal with the fact that who she is and where she is at this point in her life with Ralph doesn't align with the lives of these men. When is someone going to choose her? She has faced this with Drew, Tim, Veronica, and Walter. But the members of Team Scorpion always look out for one another. And with Walter improving his friendship skills, Paige can find support in her heartbreak.

It is also important to note that Walter and Paige have become victims of the same lesson/construct (choosing something else over love). This point also factors into The Waige Flip. In season 2, Walter succumbs to fear and chooses team efficiency over love. Even when he realizes his mistake, his choices in rectification work against him and he hurts Paige, further pushing her to Tim. In season 3, Paige chooses to stick with the logical choice at the time, but also ignores her hesitations. Even though Walter and Paige have expressed love for one another in various ways throughout this series, desire is not enough to make anything romantic happen between them. Both of them have to make the decision to commit when the opportunity arises!

Side note: Isn't it interesting that Cabe and Paige, the two who experience breakups this episode, share a dance with one another during the dance party? 😉😉

Happy

Happy is finally on par with everyone else and has a friend outside the cyclone! Granted, we don’t know if Paige has a number of friends either, but it is safe to assume that she has acquaintances at least (parents from Ralph’s school, servers from waitressing days, babysitters). Anyways, Happy (Sprocketace77) has worked with SparkplugADAptor522 for two month and knows very little about her. She asks questions but doesn't get any answers. Once Happy's chat with her goes uncharacteristically silent, she hacks the site and retrieves her name and address. Happy's choice to check on Ada, despite Toby's concerns, saves Ada's life. Throughout the rescue, Happy takes control, finds a way to calm Ada during the process even though this is not her strong suit, and bonds with her struggles at Toby and Paige’s insistence and encouragement even though she doubts her ability. (Sound familiar?! 😉) Unfortunately, Ada's condition prevents any possibility for her to attend Happy's wedding even with an invite, but the whole experience proves to Happy that she is able to create and cultivate friendships with normals. I hope that she will get another opportunity to include Ada in her life through VR (maybe the wedding)!!! As Marissa (aka. @whatthehellisaquintis) said Monday night, it’s always a great feeling to bond with internet friends!

Walter

HOLY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!! Walter is on the fast track to EQ improvement. This episode gives us his progress in spades! He doesn't prod when he sees Paige in distress or when she lies to him. He takes the hint from Happy and allows her to take the lead in Ada's rescue. He identifies Happy's task to keep Ada calm with conversation as another means of emotional support in contrast to giving space (which promotes efficiency). He recognizes good friendship techniques when Happy encourages Ada during the meat locker's sterilization process and when she waits at her computer for Ada to login to the chat room. He fixes Paige's chair and gives her a VR headset so that her chats with Tim make her feel closer to him. When he learns of their split, he provides Paige with emotional support in her moment of sorrow. Paige is definitely aware of his progress, acknowledges it, and thanks him for his efforts. In terms of Waige potential, this is a positive for Walter. This is what Paige once appreciated from Tim that she couldn’t get from Walter last year. And it adds more to The Waige Flip of season 3. But I have to admit that Walter using an advice column in a magazine you would find in your local supermarket is hilarious! That’s so dumb and yet so smart at the same time! It's dumb that he considers the information as a refutable source of behavioral advice as Toby mentions to him, but it's smart when you look at the information as that which appeals to normals. If he wants to have a better friendship with a normal, it would be good to use a source of information that normals utilize in their daily lives. Furthermore, his progress is even more impressive when you consider that he chooses to better himself by his own volition BEFORE the Taige breakup. He doesn't seek Paige or Toby's advice like he usually does. He does his own research in preparation so he doesn't commit an atrocity! I appreciate the writers for this because his motivations to be sincere and supportive shouldn't stem from an opportunity he once lost. They should occur regardless of circumstance. He is doing better than Happy in this venture!!! Walter's progress deserves a standing ovation!

Omgness guys!!! We get some form of confirmation that Toby and Happy live together!!! My babies are domesticated! 😍💚😍💚😍💚😍💚😍💚😍

Ralph is growing up guys! He is concerned that his legs look skinny in shorts and this is why he doesn't want to go on a beach field trip. Aww!!!

It looks like Toby has picked up tuxedoes with that cake. I didn't get a good look at them so I wonder if these are choices or they are the actual suits the guys will wear at the wedding. All in all, the Quintis wedding planning is so exciting! Toby is leading the charge for his big wedding! I love the flip of traditional gender roles!

The auto-biotic isolator looked really nice!!

Ada: You must be Walter. Happy said he was a whackadoodle. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Walter: I might consider calling her "Snappy" because she keeps snapping at us. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Ada is so impressive! The way she stacked her furniture to use the mattress in that manner was amazing!!

Did anyone take notice to how Toby speaks to Ada in this episode?! He speaks in a tender tone like he usually does with Happy. It's kind of adorable considering he identified Ada as another Happy Quinn!

Loved that Paige's waitressing experience contributed in the rescue! 🙌🏾🙌🏾👍🏾

Gotta point this out... Happy takes her comm out of her ear and gives it to Ada's dad. He puts it in his ear. After he's done, he hands the comm back to Happy and she places it back into her ear. Eww!!!! 😳😳😳 Where was Sly in that moment?! Lol!

Ada must have some strong lungs because I can't hold my breath for a minute! Haven't trained myself to do that! Kudos to her! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

It was so nice to see all the geniuses show so much concern on their faces waiting for Ada to emerge from the honey!! Emotional progress ftw!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Btw, what does Andolo's family restaurant now use to refrigerate their food items since Ada is there for 4 days? I hope the restaurant doesn't get a visit from a food safety inspector anytime soon! 😂😂

I need Walter to create a Scorpion-esque miracle and find a donor for Ada! She is another guest character that needs to return!!

4 Things They Don't Tell You About Parental Leave - From A First Time Dad

I heard time and time again that nothing prepares you for parenthood.

And boy, was that right!

My wife Victoria and I welcomed our little girl, Madelyn, into the world 3 months ago (September 29th!) and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

But that also brought on the insane stressor of planning my parental leave (I’m fortunate that IMPACT offers employees - both moms and dads - 8 weeks of parental leave). I love my job and the folks I get to work with, so making sure I didn’t leave anyone in the lurch was important to me.

Here are four things I was completely blindsided by during my parental leave - along with some insight from other IMPACT parents on their experiences, both at IMPACT and outside of it.

Hopefully, this will help to prepare you a bit more than I was!

1. Babies Are Amazing!

...and at times, more difficult than your day-to-day job.

I always wanted to be a dad - so I felt somewhat prepared for parenthood. Funnily enough, a lot of the things that I had encountered and learned at IMPACT had set me up for success in being a new parent.

Two things in particular stand out:

The hardest part, for me, in being a new parent was the elements of the unknown.

Can she have milk straight out of the fridge? Is her diaper on right? Is she sleeping too much? Too little? The list goes on and on.

There’s probably a new question every minute running through your head. But being able to slow down, assess the situation, then act on what was going on was absolutely critical.

One of the “double-edged swords” of the world we live in is the internet. I had so much information and insight at a moment’s notice - which is great at 2:30am when you’re worrying about a stuffy nose.

But the amount of information on the web can also create unnecessary fear and stress - so take everything you’re reading with a grain of salt (easier said than done🤣🤣).

I was shocked at how quickly we both learned the ins and outs of baby care, keeping her happy, and what was likely bothering her based on which cry she’d let out.

The first month of “parent-life” felt like it had a lot of correlations to early start-up life at IMPACT - specifically, needing to learn frequently to thrive in my role, and coping when things go wrong.

Be Agile and Embrace the Messy

Things.Will.Go.Wrong.

That is a fact.

Case in point, the first time we tried to take a family trip to the grocery store.

What’s normally a 20-minute ordeal sans-baby, turned into a 1.5-hour trek that included two outfit changes, a mid-trip feeding, and a forgotten half-gallon of milk.

Be present and understand that even when nothing goes as planned, you’ll get through it with your partner.

I asked our Design Supervisor Jessie-Lee Nichols about her experience with embracing the messy. She told me that “Delegation skills transfer to your home life. You’ll need help and you’ll need to ask for it often to avoid drowning.”

There are definitely many parallels between what’s successful in the workspace versus the “arena” of having a tiny human at home. To Jessie-Lee’s point, one of the biggest things you don’t want to do is not communicate with your partner (and family) if you need help.

As the saying goes, delegate and elevate!

2. You'll Miss Your Team More Than You’d Think

With all of the prep I had done to ready myself for being out of the office, unplugged, and focused on family time - I was completely unprepared for missing my team as much as I did.

This is especially true if you work at a company that has a very close-knit culture, like we do at IMPACT, and it may be one of the harder things you encounter on parental leave.

After 7+ years here, it’s hard to imagine a week without some of these folks around - let alone two months.

Once the newborn chaos slowed down, and we got into a groove at home, I found myself missing some of the familiar faces and conversations.

That may differ for you based on your company culture, but it can be a real downer when you’re home and missing your team especially since, when you’re passionate about what you do, not being engrained in it every day can be stressful.

My counter to that was to have quick, ad-hoc chats with folks to not feel so left out, and it worked really well!

I found that grabbing 10 to 15 minutes just to say “Hi”, and check in with a small group of folks really helped me stay in the loop and not drive myself crazy.

3. Working Small Amounts Can Keep You (and Your Partner) Sane

Saying that this statement was true for me is a massive understatement.

I love my wife (Hey, honey 👋) but limited sleep, a screaming baby, and scarce contact with other adults can make even the most glued-together couples start to annoy each other.

We realized early on in our parental leave that doing 30 to 60 minutes of work throughout the week helped revitalize us, even if it’s just clearing out your inbox, and marking down things to prioritize upon your return (more on that below), or doing a quick check-in with the team.

Before your head explodes because I just recommended you take time away from your family - hear me out.

It worked for a few reasons, in my opinion.

We had some dedicated “me” time away from each other, and the baby. Plus, it let us shift our mindset back into the things we’re passionate about - aside from the little bundle of joy. 😀

The break from all things baby actually refreshed me, and helped me start to see how I could balance my commitments early on.

Another thing to consider is there may be times that the team needs you. It may be unavoidable.

Marc Amigone, one of IMPACT’s Client Success Managers and fellow first time dad said, “I was totally out of a work mindset for the first month and totally focused on dad stuff, until someone messaged me to let me know about an internal conversation I should be aware of... then it was like my bubble popped and I had never left.”

While it’s extremely important to unplug and dedicate time to the family, it’s equally important, in my mind, to not leave your team high and dry.

I experienced the same thing when getting back into the office. Strangely enough, even after eight weeks, it felt like I had never left. The routine was still there, and I was able to almost jump right back in.

Something that I’ve always battled with when taking time off is the fear of what awaits me upon my return. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt this way.

That’s another reason why I worked small amounts on parental leave - so I knew what’d I’d be coming back to. It’s also important to have a solid transition plan - both when you’re leaving and coming back.

4. What You Can Do To Make It Easier

The entire new parent experience is a daunting one, but with a little planning, you can make the transition so much easier.

I recommend planning your exit, and your return, so you know exactly what is expected and so does your team. That way, in all of the chaos that happens in the first couple months of parenthood, there’s some structure to fall back on.

While I was preparing for my parental leave, I did a few things with some guidance from our awesome VP of Talent, Natalie Davis.

Documenting what a typical day looks like for you, what your major responsibilities are, as well as your leave plan, are a few pretty simple things that can help dramatically. They definitely did for me.

I also spent some time recording videos of me giving insight into what things can pop up in my role, how I handle certain conversations, and other tips to help whoever was taking over for me to prepare and get a better understanding of what to expect.

Lastly, that plan I mentioned was extremely helpful in getting both me and my supervisor on the same page regarding my parental leave. I detailed what my rough exit date would be, along with my return date, when I was going to be completely unplugged, and when he could start reaching out if needed.

Things can change quickly when you’re expecting, and they did for us! Our little girl came 3 weeks early, so having a plan documented with dates that could easily be shifted was so helpful.

When you’re starting to transition back into the office (or working remotely), that same type of plan can save your sanity.

During the last two weeks of my parental leave, I started working a 2 to 4 hours, three days a week, to get my mind back into the old habits and shake off the dust.

That type of transition back isn’t ideal for everyone, but it absolutely helped me get back to work and started full steam ahead.

Once I got back to the office, I made sure to keep a few morning hours blocked to dig through any remaining emails as well as have some time to get into the right zone before the meetings and work piled on.

Every little bit helped :)

Jessie-Lee gave me one of the best bite-sized nuggets of knowledge regarding the transition back, especially for remote moms (but it applies to dads too!).

“Be real with your team; tell them you need time to pump/nurse, tell them when emotionally things are a bit too much, and tell them when to expect a sick kiddo strapped to your chest on the next video call. Life is allowed to happen, just as much as work is expected to.”

That level of candor, vulnerability, and as she put it, realness, can make or break your new parent experience as you transition back into the workforce.

Don’t be afraid to let your team know what you’re experiencing and ask for help.

Parental leave is an incredible benefit that can be a daunting thing to plan for. After all, it’s a huge change in your life, plus a transition to account for getting back into the workplace. But with some planning, support and the right mindset - you’ll be burping babies and crushing goals in no time :)
