The short answer: "not at the moment, but it is very possible in the future'!

The slightly longer answer: I would have to figure out a good pricing and payment system! PD-MDZS is also where most of my free time goes, so until my life settles down a bit, I would be on the slow side to complete them.

#Ask #Even longer answer: I technically do - but it's been people I know irl asking and handing me physical money/bank transfers.#I'm working on one right now but the tricky part with pricing is that they want the physical copy of it - which is different to online comm #Fun fact: I have gotten a fair amount of commissions from a local hobbiest quilting club.#They show me their pintrest inspiration board and tell me size specifications and I draw out patterns on parchment paper.#I am probably being undervalued by a group of 50-60 year old women but they call me handsome and say I'm doing a good job so...#There was also someone a while back who asked about a tattoo design and I was *so* enthusiastic but I just got too busy to commit.#I truly do appreciate people asking - It is *extremely* flattering that you like my art enough to want to commission something!#I will re-examine my situation in a few months! How good are Muji pencils actually? I don't have a Muji shop where I live but I keep seeing people using them and I'm considering ordering one.

Oh. I'm a bit of a bad person to ask this.

As in you activated my trap card, mechanical pencil trivia be upon you.

I know people will swear by Muji stationery, but I am picky about them. The Muji pencil in the previous picture is one that is extremely reminiscent of another pencil that is actually made by LAMY and specifically balanced for designers and architects. So that MUJI pencil that looks like it, I can recommend that one.

I rotate between that MUJI ABS Resin 0.5, a (vintage) ROTRING Tikky Special 0.5, a PENTEL Orenz Nero 0.5, and a FABER CASTELL GRIP 1345 0.5. That's 4 mechanical pencils I like using.

#60 seconds till mission begins rambles #I don't know how the weight balancing on the modern Rotring Tikky pencils are; the one I have has a metal core so its on the heavier side #Why do you gotta use brand pencils? You don't. Draw with whatever you like but if you draw and write a lot and your hands hurt #Know that brand pencils come in different weights and shapes that may suit how you are holding the pencil and are therefore nicer to use #Like how you can run a marathon with your street shoes; no one is stopping you; but your feet will thank you for wearing sports shoes #Vaxxman is normal about stationery; avert your eyes

Yeah got through the main quest with the gerudo, it wasn't painful! It wasn't even bad! Still got them outfits but for the most part it was like oh cool!

I would say a lot of that oh cool is from the fact they didn't do a lot to even fuck it up to begin with, I'm gonna be real with yall this game is NOT worth $60USD

Edit: lemme say one thing, you know when people were being like damn totk story wasn't dark or mature at all why was this compared to Majora's mask again? And then all the zeldatwt people came out and said zelda is just a kid series domt expect good writing uH

complaining abt medications dont mind me

i woke up w a migraine (annoying) but i usually take excedrin bc that is actually pretty good at knocking out migraines for me. however im on a daily nsaid for back pain so i Cant take the excedrin . so i called the pharmacist like hey man what are my options bc tylenol hasnt helped me w even just normal headaches in the past and the stuff im on 4 back pain isnt doing jackshit either. hits me with the "well have you tried tylenol?" and then "you should talk to your provider abt getting on migraine management like smthn in the triptan family" meanwhile im like yeah. yeah no im taking excedrin bc my neuro tried sumatriptan 4 me and i had an allergic reaction. thats why im asking for what i can do in the moment since i cant take the only thing thats been helping w migraines lately & tylenol doesnt do jackshit for me,

#personal #the engineering chronicles #on the one hand how the mighty have fallen etc but on the other. thank FUCK this semester is over #it wasn’t even that bad objectively like if i hadn’t had the musical im pretty sure this semester would have been a breeze. but w the #musical everything was so scattered i never had time to do hw and i had to skip classes to meet w ppl for group projects bc the only time #any of us were available was in the mornings except then the meetings would go later than planned and i wouldn’t be able to make it to #my morning class and. etc. rehearsals till 10 like 5 times a week just did not work on in this regard. BUT WE DID IT <3 scraped a b- out of #physics w my highest test score in that class and will likely end probability w a b #<- he put in my final exam grade (88 🥳) but there are still three labs that need to be graded so technically my grade could fall to a b- or #c+ but neither is likely #still mad abt that 60 i got on the last exam bc if i had done as well on that exam as i did every other exam for this class i could have #ended w a b+ or a- but. whatever i’m just relieved this courseload is over with. even if i will be thrown right back into everything in a #week at least there is this week for me to relax and not feel awful for failing even more classes this year lmao

I watched an mdzs animatic with a song from wicked, and something in my mind finally clicked and now I want to scream about how similar my current and my past hyperfixations are.

"Good news, the witch is dead!" like

"No good deeds" is such a "character pushed to their limits" song. Imagine it before the nightless city. The first scream, as Wen Ning and Wen Qing walk away. The chanting as he lies there, unable to move, praying for them to be well. Memories of people he loves: Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, Lan Zhan, the Wen siblings.

"Was I really seeking good, or just seeking attention?" -- as he looks at the burial mounds and leaves.

"If I cannot succeed, Fiero, saving you, I promise no good deed will I attempt to do again." -- as he learns about Wen Qing and Wen Ning's death.

Ending with him arriving at Nightless city and pulling out the flute.

I want to see it animated so much!

My skills are so annoyingly not up to the task. Maybe if my hyperfixation survives long enough that I learn drawing and animating things well? It'll be the third mdzs animatic I really wish to do one day. Maybe one day.

I made weird hand gestures. and he immediately got hit by snow falling from the roof #i swear like five people from my class confessed they were scared of me #and later my uni teacher. she confessed there were rumors going around among teachers about how scary and terrible a student I was #I still can't get over this it's so funny. imagine being this annoying and weird. it's hilarious.#so yep. my love to stories about characters the are deemed “evil” by the world runs very deep #I love them so so so much ahah #now I just need to learn drawing and do my love some justice

I was thinking about stuff again and looking into the transcript and this exchange really does just pull some unspoken weight in it

Stan: How did things get so messed up between us? Ford: We used to be like Dipper and Mabel. The world's about to end and they still work together. How do they do it? Stan: Easy. They're kids. They don't know any better.

Of course we know Stan and Ford’s whole deal, but the whole sentiment here really just pulls a tragic note

There’s this unspoken acknowledgement that they both want to have a relationship, but (at this point) it’s treated as something that just... can’t happen

There’s a sentiment a lot of times that if you really love someone and they love you - that things turn out fine. Or at least, on the surface you’d think ‘well why would we ever stop being close?’ because logically, it doesn’t make sense

But in practice - it happens. It’s a falling out where you still both love each other, but now there’s this obstacle

really love the show for having this moment between them btw

And here in the show - Stan and Ford both see so much of how they used to be in Dipper and Mabel

Even here though where Ford directly draws that parallel though - he’s not connecting how they’re able to not squabble when everything’s going wrong - how they pull together instead of apart when the stakes turn high

and Stan saying it’s because they don’t know any better-

It just really paints a picture of how behind the pair of them are to Dipper and Mabel - especially after the Mabel-land episode

The Little Dipper episode is an instance where Dipper and Mabel have a similar squabble to the Stans’ petty hand-holding debacle, but afterwards they open up to one another and stuff is fine again.

The thing about this whole thing - it’s not that Dipper and Mabel never have moments of broken trust between each other or insecurities or anything like this - it’s that when this stuff happened they were eventually able to open up to one another and that’s how they got through it and came to work together without bickering

Because it’s not about blind or naive trust - it’s about that trust and putting in the effort to show some vulnerability and even talk about stuff instead of burying it down

Stan and Ford’s relationship acts as an obvious cautionary foil to Dipper and Mabel’s own, and it’s tragic because like with Dipper & Mabel you can see how Stan & Ford could also have possibly reconciled.

And the tragic thing in this set of lines is that, they really don’t understand and they still view it as this near-impossible thing for themselves.
