This was originally my contribution to the second MegOP zine, but since the project sadly won’t be finished, I get to share it with you all here instead! I made this almost exactly one year ago, I hope you like it!

Hehe, here we go. Part 2 with the transformers multiverse where a good month passed (the base is fine and the Decepticons are so confused they don't even plan an attack or anything, they're just.. there and I think STARSCREAM from every damn universe is just hoping to not get a beat from Megan) they still didn't fix the groundbridge situation and William Lennox and Epps have been called in to assist (much to his utter amazement and he’s so done with life at this point and Epps totally fainted) and he meets T.F.P. Reader who is a lil younger than his own and well it just so happens that there is a reader in the Bayverse universe who works with the scientists at Sector 7 and Lennox decided to bring her to help! Sooo... my guy Bayverse O.P. has no clue what to do, can’t take his own damn advice to actually speak to the reader and she is almost the same as T.F.P. just a tad better at keeping her romantic feelings in and more waiting for the guy to speak to her ’cause she is amused. G1 totally made matters worse and T.F.P. Reader mainly helped the Ratchets and her counterpart. They actually start becoming friends and it was albeit awkward at first, but they definitely got comfortable quickly! I could imagine my Animated O.P. just low-key sulking wondering if he’ll get to meet his reader.

Ratchets when they see Bayverse O.P. trying and MISERABLY failing to interact with Bayverse Reader: “I’m too old for this shit.”

Bayverse transformers are just so confused and Jazz is totally loving this, seeing their Prime so... scared, worried, confused and the Bayverse reader could tell that their counterparts are dating and honestly is more curious and happy that they found love at least. Bayverse Reader is a total science and weapons nerd (Lennox and Epps are more worried than anything ’cause they are kind of protective of her) and 100% becomes Bayverse and G1 Ironhide’s pal. I would like to see how O.P. tries to talk to her or if he’ll avoid her in fear of hurting her and how their interactions just end up so nerd-like and a disaster. Bayverse Bumblebee is totally teasing tf outta the Primes at this point.

Bayverse Optimus X Bayverse! Reader TMV Pt. 2

It had been over a month since the huge multiverse events happened. The bots from all of the universes check in on one another every once in a while- even assisting with fighting the occasional decepticon. 

You were brought in by two soldiers who worked with the Autobots- Epps and Lennox. They escorted you from Sector 7 to the Autobot base, ensuring your safe arrival- your presence and knowledge of Cybertronian science often attracting Decepticons. 

When you arrived, you were shocked to see a large group of Ratchets standing around, trying to solve the problem of the odd malfunction of the spacebridges. Even more shocking- there was a double of you there. They didn’t have the same hairstyle or clothing- but they were clearly the same as you.

“Fascinating. I didn’t believe that there were dupes, but now that I’m seeing it, there’s little room to doubt.” You said as you walked around your double. 

“Uh… okay then.” (Y/N) two, as you dubbed them, spoke awkwardly as everyone watched in curiosity. There was a sudden thump, and everyone looked over to see Epps unconscious on the ground. Everyone facepalmed. 

Bayverse Optimus was shocked to see you- he had only met the Primeverse version of you. You were clearly a little older- and your general air exuded confidence. 

(Y/N) Two wasn’t too different- but it was clear that there were key differences. You were surprised to see how Bayverse Optimus gravitated towards your counterpart, almost as if he had feelings for her. You grinned a little but quickly covered it up. 

You became quick friends with (Y/N) Two, and eventually you teased them for Bayverse Optimus’ feelings towards them. They looked shocked and a little off. 

“I’m already dating my Optimus. Are you sure he has feelings for me? He seems really into you.” 

The more you thought about it, the more you realized that your universe’s Optimus did spend more time with you. He would often offer to take you out on drives, or lift heavy objects for you.

As soon as this came to your attention, you decided to tease him subtly. Making a flirty comment here, and a compliment there. You never went to him, though. He always came to you for any interactions. 

The Ratchets all looked on in irritation and stress as they saw Optimus’ failed attempts to flirt back. He was far too flustered, and yet they weren’t surprised by his actions. No matter how strong of a face he puts on, they have known him for millions of years. 

Jazz and Animated Optimus talked about it, trying to keep quiet. Jazz thought it was hilarious, how the boss bot struggled to find the words to woo his crush. 

Animated Optimus, on the other hand, sulked. He wondered if he would ever find a version of you. From the way it looked, there was one of you in every universe- and he had no clue how to find you in his. 

The Ironhides and Wheeljacks absolutely adore this version of you. You’re funny, playfully flirty, and- best of all to them- a weapons expert. You made some weapons (that you got in trouble for later) and went with them to fire them off in the training area. How were you supposed to know apparently all Ratchets carry wrenches? 

You eventually began having feelings for Bayverse Optimus. It was adorable to you how he got when he tried to flirt with you, and even more so when he tried to ask you out and failed miserably because he couldn’t get out of his own head. 

Bayverse Optimus was a little angry with himself because no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t bring himself to ask you out. He had helped Primeverse Optimus get out of his slump- why couldn’t he help himself?

One day, he overheard you talking with his Ratchet and Jazz. “You know, it’s not cool to keep teasin’ him all the time.” Jazz laughed a little. 

“I agree- you’re driving him up the fraggin’ wall. If he asks me for my opinion one more time, I may run out of wrenches.” Ratchet grumbled.

“Hm, maybe I’ll let him take me on a date… Maybe. If he could ever ask me.” 

That night, Optimus got a bundle of flowers. When he handed them to you, he realized he had crushed them by accident in his huge servos. He was swearing at himself in his mind. “I-uh. They weren’t meant to be-”

“I know.” You interrupted him with a teasing smile. 

Bayverse Prime had never felt so much anxiety- not even while fighting his oldest foe. “Will you,” he paused. “Would you… like to go somewhere with me?” 

You raised your eyebrow. “Ah, where would this ‘somewhere’ be?” Your eyes glinted mischievously. 

A swell of confidence filled his spark and he suddenly spoke with his usual confident voice. “You will have to find out.”

There was a hush that fell over the room. Everyone pretended that they were working, when in reality they were listening for your answer. You looked at him, wrapping your arms around the crushed flowers gently as you leaned forward on the desk you were sitting at.

“Well, now I’m curious. I suppose I’ll have to see what you have in store.” You got up and began walking towards the exit. You looked back to see Optimus standing there dumbly. “Are you just gonna stand there…? Unless you changed your mind…” You teased.

Within seconds, Optimus transformed and left the base with you. Everyone was hooting and hollering as the two of you left.

stuff I noticed on (???)th rewatch:

Even tho for plot reasons it cant be him, Laurence Fishburne aka Alpha Trion voices the narrator in the archives, fitting since Alpha Trion was the prime in charge of preserving history

Shockwave alt mode model spotted when Orion was falling

Orion was just about to enter the miners barracks when when he got caught up while he was fleeing from the archives

Love the little details of the miners knowing each other (miners going "oh. It's Orion." when he was on the train or Moonracer and D-16 silently aknowledging one another, or later the miners from their sectors recognizing them in the race)

Kinda horrifying that they are supposed to leave a fellow bot to die as per protocol. I guess one bot dying is better than three but still, you could already see the system was unfair, they did save Jazz but got no recognition for it. Also despite her irritation, Elita was throwing those supporting sticks like javelins to help them

Jazz being cared for by a cogless bot who looks a bit like ratchet, tho it cant be ratchet since he's namedropped as a doctor later

D-16 helping Orion up

Before she got fired and based on their miner badges, D-16 was a tier away from being at Elita's rank (meanwhile Orion's a shit miner based on his badge alone)

Wheeljack most likely also being fired by Darkwing in the background (speaking of, its funny that the explosion started with Wheeljack)

Orion's hand on D-16's shoulder when Sentinel talks about the matrix, then him taking it away when he says he didnt find it

D-16 probably has changed berth before, at the end of the movie, we see that he initially added a huge Megatronus sticker to its left side, but the one we see him sleep in doesnt have it, or maybe in 50 cycles, the sticker simply got damaged with time and had to be removed.

Speaking of, D-16's sticker got damaged FAST

Steve Blum also voices the Iacon 5000 announcer, it wouldnt surprise me that hed be one of the voice actors with the most appearances in the transformers franchise as a whole😊

I believe the only mention of the term "cybertronian" in the movie is when Sentinel calls the Iacon citizens his "cybertronian family"

Sentinel lied about the "tomorrow all shifts will be off" for the day of the race: when we first see Orion and D-16 in the race, it cuts to Elita and a few other bots working

Iacon 5000 board:

fairly consistent and lots of familiar names! (RODDY!!! He was in 6th place before falling back to 9th😔, and Chromia climbed her way up until she was second place at the very end before winning)

D-16's quiet "what is happening" during the big laugh

Darkwing actually being a decepticon in G1 is gonna be so funny in this continuity. Hey what if the guy you relentlessly bullied turned into not only your future boss but also one of the two strongest individuals on this planet and he is known for his rage and lust for revenge

The gag of Bee showing the duo what his job is and telling them he's supposed to pick out what's salvagable among the trash while his helmet he uses as an exemple, smth clearly useful, is just fucking gone in the fire

Nitpicking here and 100% paying attention to details that dont matter but Alpha Trion's map reinforce my belief that cybertron is like. A Tiny Planet. Perhaps the train is incredibly fast and get them closer to the location but it still only take them a day on foot (and later on wheels) to get halfway across the planet

Prowl and Ironhide loading the crates onto the train, then the two talking in the bg, then finally leaving when Elita goes to investigate the train

Also Elita showing she already know how to fight by the way she beat the trio's ass, which explains her fighting skills later in the movie, she's not a badass out of nowhere

Cybertron is also 75% metallic rock formations apparently, judging by the scenery the gang passes by

In addition, everything organic looks foreign, so this is more going into hc territory but maybe the quintessons did bought organic flora with them during the war, "contaminating" the planet, which then could grow into forests

D-16 is downright TINY next to Megatronus' head, which makes the comparaison with Megatron at the end (who is most likely as tall as Megatronus thanks to his cog and his second transformation) kinda jarring

A flower straight up has teeth, I genuinely dont believe its native to Cybertron

Alpha Trion says the war against the quintessons lasted "thousand of cycles" and its fascinating to me: the original storyboards had Orion stating that the war had been over for 1000 cycles- now changed to 50 cycles for the movie and 1) it means that Sentinel's reign is RIDICULOUSLY SHORT all things considered, this is like, after 10 years of war, being in charge only for a MONTH before it all comes crashing down... (now that I think about it, I think my brain wouldve liked the original "Sentinel ruled for 1000 cycles" more) and 2) it somewhat gives me the impression that cybertronians are... actually pretty young? As a race?

During the sand flashback, Prima (or Liege Maximo, they have the same colors here) goes down first buried under Quintessons

Optimus will inherit his matrix axe from Zeta

Also Zeta's head looks like a crown

The Quintessons' main ship not only look organic, which is gross and cool af, but the entrance from which the quintessons soldiers and general came down straight up looks like a mouth with teeth

D-16's eyes go from yellow with tint of orange to full orange after he goes "I. Got. It." to Orion. They go back to yellow the next time we see him

THEY REFER TO THE PLACE WHERE THE HIGH GUARD IS HIDING AS A "BUSTED OLD SHIP", IT STILL HAS FLESH AND BONES AND AN ACTUAL SPINE, WHICH MEANS ITS A QUINTESSON'S SHIP AND YES THEY ARE ALIVE

They really build a fort around this ship, it has barricades and everything

People already know this but Starscream's throne resembles his crown and cape from the '86 movie

D-16 shakes his head when Bee calls the High Guard "prestigious", this is after the shot on his perplexed face when Starscream gives them their options

D-16 also clench his fist in the bg when Starscream mention they saw Sentinel's betrayal and when the Primes fell

Everyone already noticed D-16 licking his teeth before the headbutt

Btw how did the High Guard know his full actual name? Orion only ever called him "Dee"

Thrust was SUPER into D-16's speech

Obvious, but D-16's fully go orange at that point

Airachnid and Sentinel's forces shoot yellow blasts, the High Guard shoots purple

Again, another one people know about but Thundercracker swaps with Skywarp between shots (G1 ref💖)

Nothing that proves this, but there seems to be two types of roads in Iacon: permanent ones, and the ones that build themselves as you drive on them, when Orion jumps down to Iacon, he lands on a road and then changes to a autonomous one

THEY GOT ROBO-STREET FIGHTER

The plaza they fight on at the end is directly below the prime tower

If you wanna have fun just focus on any background fight between a seeker and an eradicon when they fight in the tower

In the dogfight before they leave the tower you have Soundwave blasting bots away from Shockwave's tail and then Stascream doing the same for Soundwave before also blasting a bot Orion kicked away. Teamwork

D-16 is shooting at Sentinel in tank mode in the background while Orion, Elita and Bee make their way to the broadcast station

It looks like Elita crashed through an office

First look at maccadam maybe? (And was able to at least translate what was above the screen)

I have nothing to say for Sentinel's entire execution scene. Got caught up in it again. Cinema.

The ground literally make way for Orion's falling body and then Primus(' spark) himself grabs him to accelerate his fall toward him

Soundwave, Shockwave and Starscream uses each their specific weapons during the "All hail Megatron" part

Optimus tucks his head in turtle-style to dodge Megatron's bullets and its a neat callback to when he transformed for the first time

Ive noticed they often use smoke to save budget by not showing transformation sequences but its ok bc this still looks cool af, they still showed Megatron transform into his tank mode and you can see his head disappearing under the cannon I love it

Megatron can reattach mid-transformation his tank cannon that Optimus tore away and shoot him afterward with it, god this is so fucking dope

This fight is sick as fuck

Optimus looks SO confused just before his axe manifest

Out of the SSSquad, Soundwave completely miss his entrance and slide across accomplishing nothing, he misses his next punch too, Shockwave straight up does not leave the ground 0.5 seconds after he enters the fight, and at least Starscream has the most action out of all of them but also he still gets yeeted into oblivion

You can see Optimus' axe go from his left hand to his right to cut through Megatron's fusion cannons, the yellow energy passes by the matrix and you can see it via his biolights, which btw were lit since he manifested his axe in the first place

And finally, the red paint of Optimus reflecting on Megatron, making his face as red as his eyes

During the flashback, the words "D-16" and "Megatronus Prime" on the berth are written in english and not with cybertronian letters

Megatron was driving a whole 90° up to the surface holy shit

The movie takes over the span of 4 days:

Orion trespasses into the archives in the morning of the first day defore work, they have a "normal" day at work afterward and Elita gets demoted, Sentinel announces the Iacon 5000 and Orion wakes D-16 during the night to tell him his plan to run in the race

Second day and day of the race, we have seen that Sentinal have lied about the "tomorrow all shifts off" line so yeah, bots were still working and still had to work after the race, which probably took place only in the morning. Then enough time has passed when Orion and D-16 waited in the medical bay for miners to go back to work and reach 150% quota, then they got dumped with Bee at sublevel 50 and the next instance of time we see is when the train leaves for the surface, during the time we see Iacon at night, so this whole ordeal of waiting and escaping probably took all afternoon and likely night.

Then we see either the sun rising while the quartet in on the train, I choose to believe its the sun rising since we just saw Iacon at night. Anyway then it'd be day 3: they travel to the location of Alpha Trion and escape Quintessons in the morning, witness Sentinel's betrayal, get their cogs and transform for the first time in the afternoon, then travel back to Iacon at night and get caught by the High Guard, then Airachnid embushes the High Guard and there's the whole battle.

Orion gets out of the rubble and its no longer night, so that's day 4, then the rest of the movie happens till the end, and based on the lighting, Id say it took place almost entirely during that morning

We mightve gotten a glimpse of Jazz's alt mode in the epilogue

Counting the end credits scene, the movie ends with the 80s decepticons logo!

Scared by Uni AU! 5 Ideas.

Does Smokey ever start being able to sense chaos about to happen? I imagine that Medicine may make the effects physically decrease, but meds won't really change the more mystical aspect of DE. So, as Smokey lives with his scars... maybe he starts being able to tell when somethings about to become chaotic? Like a Spidy-sense of sorts; but for chaos specifically?

Does the DE make him start having chaotic urges? Like, he really wants to cause some chaos... so he joins Miko in a prank or two; often enough to keep the worst of the urges at bay? What happens when the urges become too much...?

Does his Spark change color? Does his EM field feel off? Does he feel off to OP?

Does the Matrix Still Choose Him? Instead of the whole "RID Unify Primus and Unicron to kill both" concept... maybe a mortal who is able of holding both powers of Uni and Primus would be able to unite the two, smoothing out the oppositional ways the two have always had? Like, he'd become the Prime of Balence or smth... if he didn't revive OP that is...

Do Primely relics burn his servos? Like, anything Prime/Primus made burns him like a Vampire with a Cross would? It would add angst to the previous idea; a Prime the matrix both chose but also burns from the inside out?

These ideas are amazing Anon!

1. Yes! Smokescreen has Pinkie sense for chaos! (Yes I like mlp, I'm not afraid to say it.) His door-wings twitch when he senses something, because I want them to. He becomes unprankable! I would be able to sense something as little as a small prank to something as big as say... The surrounding area of trees having bombs on them thanks to Dreadwing :3

2. Smokescreen absolutely becomes prank obsessed. He quickly realizes that he needs to keep the urges in check or his pranks start becoming harmful. Miko ends up quickly noticing something is wrong and manages to get Smokescreen to spill the beans. So now Miko is the self proclaimed chaos handler, making sure Smokescreen has enough chaos so he doesn't hurt anyone. Though Smokescreen is allowed, via Miko's orders, to go all out of he comes across a Decepticon mine. And yes, Smokescreen absolutely listens to his chaos handler.

3. His spark would definitely tint purple, but it wouldn't completely change color. Just a slight change, enough to be noticed but not enough to be obvious. Though it's not like he's showing off his spark anyway. His EM field definitely starts feeling off, though everyone just chalks it up to Smokescreen's usual shenanigans. Though Optimus can feel the change a lot more than the others, thankfully Ratchet explained everything to him. Optimus knows Smokescreen is safe, for now.

4. The entire "The Matrix will show itself to those who's spark is worthy," is what makes me think that Smokescreen doesn't get the Matrix. Being tainted with DE would make him unworthy. Though the Matrix would still allow him to use it's power, it just wouldn't let him keep it. He'd never become a Prime, but if someone handed it to him he could still pull it open. This being due to the fact that Smokescreen's spark itself is worthy, it's just the DE that makes him unworthy.

5. Yes, 100%. Smokescreen can't touch anything Primely without getting hurt. He wouldn't be able to touch the Saber or the Forge. He might not even be able to touch Optimus. It wouldn't burn immediately though, cause Optimus is living, but stay in contact long enough and it really starts to hurt. Though this had me thinking. Anything made by a Prime, it's not like Smokescreen would want to, but I think that would include the Dark Saber because it was made with the Forge. In turn, the space bridge Optimus makes would also hurt, but Smokescreen still cares enough to turn around and go back through when the base is destroyed. Smokescreen would have to go through that bridge 4 times, but he'd do it every time without hesitation. All for his team.

Why Am I The Last To Notice That Soundwave (from EarthSpark) Has Large-Hips...?

I can’t help but have the word “Mom-Hips” pop into my head when finally noticing how large Soundwave’s (from EarthSpark) hips are....

okay even though not everyone who has such large hips, will automatically be a “Mom” but after seeing some fan art of Soundwave from EarthSpark, and then I had to double check from a image of Soundwave from the show to see if his hips are in fact like that........and well, it seems to be true.

why is it I’m the last one to finally notice this, even if I did see the episode but this....oh my gosh, the whole “Mom-Hips” comes to mind and I know that is just me being weird, and well I can’t help but view TFA-Soudwave as not being 100% the same as the Original Soundwaves like from TF-G1, TFP and even Earthspark, because TFA-Soundwave is more of a Soundwave Jr. to me now, like Soundwave Sr. could be like a Dad figure to him....

wouldn’t be surprised if Megatron based Soundwave Jr. on a Decepticon he use to know who had the same name as him, like some of Soundwave Jr.’s blueprint designs being based on the Original Soundwave, and the Original one could look like a TFA version of the Soundwave from TFP...

well Soundwave from TF-G1 and TF-Earthspark, is technically Frenzy, Rumble, Laserbeak and Ravage’s Dad/Sire...

and given how the IDW had made Scorponok the whole Fanon “Carrier” into Canon....

seriously, I can’t be the only one who had figured out that even if I had to look it up and find it out myself and sometime I need to read the full comic sometime...

that Scorponok had just made the fanon into canon, the Transformers becoming Carriers has become canon, I repeat, it has become canon people, this is not a drill! XD

well at least Soundwave doesn’t have to worry about some people pointing out how big his aft is, I mean that can be a bit embarrassing to some who don’t want it be point out.....it’s one thing when it happens in a fictional movie or show or a book, but it happening in real life can probably be real life embarrassing...

it’s like even if I did end up losing a lot of weight thanks to that first depression that happen in 2015, why couldn’t I.......no, never mind...forget it...

but the point being it might be possible that some Mech and Femme will have large hips, that I guess could be seen as “Caretaker Hips”...           

Scorponok has already made the whole “Carrier” thing canon, so we know the hatchling/sparklings will be carried and be visible by the chest area of the Cybertronian...thanks to Scorponok....who shouldn’t be confused with the one from Beast Wars. 

and of course the thing that pops in my head, after finally realizing and noticing that Soundwave from EarthSpark has large hips, is that the whole he has “Mom-Hips”.........which once again, I know not everyone who has large hips are automatically Moms.......but it fits Soundwave, since his technically a parent.

a Caretaker in theory, is the Sire/Dad or Carer/Mom who takes care of the young ones, like the hatchlings or cassettes.

while their life-partner is off at work, and if they both have work, then the Caretaker will find someone to babysit, but they are still the Caretaker.

no matter if they are the Mentor, Sire or Carer.

and yes I am very much aware it’s weird to view Soundwave having “Mom-Hips” I’m weird enough to have that thought pop into my head...XD

I already talked about in another post on my view on Megatron and Optimus from EarthSpark, technically being Eon-Boomers. 

and don’t misinterpret the whole “Mom-Hips” thing, like I had pointed out before.

I don’t like it when some of the things I say gets misinterpreted in a very wrong way....and depending on how it is, there can be hurt feelings on both sides.

which is why I want to try a bit better to make sure my words don’t get misinterpreted....at least I am trying to.

well my having the whole “Mom-Hips” pop into my head when finally realizing that Soundwave from EarthSpark has large hips...

isn’t the weirdest thing to pop into my head...

that would be calling Optimus from EarthSpark, a Himbo Prime.

life had been hitting you hard, many obstacles suddenly coming your way. it was stressful, and on top of it all, with all the bills and the overwhelming pestering of your family, your boyfriends have been busy as well. it wasnt their fault, with the decepticon signals popping up every now and then across the world. though sometimes it felt lonely, as though you were in it alone.

it was quite the feeling. empty and silent. all the paperwork that had piled up on your desk stared at you. almost as if it were taunting you. agonizing you. terrorizing you with every piece of paper per packet.

you had been put in charge of documenting the decepticon activity, what exactly the site was and what had happened. it was boring to say the least, interrogating the soldiers was a pain. some would snarl at you when you asked, saying it wasnt your business.

really, if you had the choice and time, you’d ask your boyfriends. yet they only brushed you off, saying something about training or preparing for the decepticons. they had become too busy to spare some time with you. though you wouldnt let it get to you, it did crack your spirit a little.

even when busy, they had made time for you in the beginning. had something occured? it was confusing, but you wouldnt ponder too much about it.

documents in hand, you walked towards your office at the n.e.s.t base. you had been given some more work to do, as though the paperwork you already had wasnt bad enough.

setting the pile down next to the previous one, you looked over at your phone. the screen had lit up the darkened room, a message from your parent on the screen. a sigh had left you, mood already dropping more than before. picking up the device, you opened up the message.

the previous texts before had reminded you of the fight you had with your parent. it had been a few days ago since that happened. it wasnt great, only adding on to the other things that had weighed your mood down.

‘how are you doing?’ the message read. it was as if the fight never happened. as though they never cared, despite all the guilt tripping they had done to you during it. like it meant nothing to them.

a low growl slipped from your throat, anger rising and tears starting to form in the corner of your eyes. shutting the phone off, you set it aside. your heart ached and hurt, wanting for comfort of any kind. though that wouldnt happen any time soon, as the only time you received comfort was from your boyfriends.

there wasnt anyone else besides them, as your social life outside the military was slim to none. most of your friends consisted of those already apart of n.e.s.t.

soft sobs left your lips, all your thoughts racing and the hole in your heart growing bigger. maybe you were being selfish, or overreacting. but you couldn’t care at this moment, too busy letting out your frustration through hushed cries.

you didnt want others outside your office to hear. that would be quite an embarrassment, having others hear your cries when you meant to keep them to yourself.

though it seemed that wouldnt work, as the door clicked open. the creak followed behind two pairs of footsteps, your heart raced as you peaked up to see who it was. the all too familiar outlines of two males stood in the room. one had closed the door, the dark room engulfing them.

“crosshairs?” the male hummed, the other coming up beside him. his skin pale, too, and hair a darker shade than crosshairs’. his eyes were a darker blue, facial features aged a bit. slight bags hug under his eyes, his brows furrowed as they casted upon you.

you looked away from them, almost guilty of how selfish you had been. you should’ve been working, not crying. there was paperwork to be done, not a whole mental breakdown.

as the thoughts starting to fill you, racing across your mind and accusing you of such acts, your heart started to hurt even more. the tears came creeping out, slowly making their way down your heated cheeks. it felt hot in the room, as though the heat was on and not the ac.

the males’ eyes widened, crosshairs making his way around the desk. his arms wrapped around your form, bringing you to a standing point.

the other male, ironhide, had joined behind you. his hands playing with your hair, crosshairs hushing you. your head laid against his head, wetting his eyeburning green clothing.

“its alright,” ironhide chimed up, deep voice gruff yet soothing to hear. “let it out,” he rubbed your back. it only added to the river of tears, cascading your hot cheeks. “‘m sorry,” you whimpered, trying to stop yourself from crying.

it only seemed to do the opposite, voice breaking into small cracks. more tears rushed out, the river soon turning into a waterfall. the two only stayed by your side, offering quiet comfort.

it felt warm, crosshairs’ embrace. soft, and gentle. you easily lost yourself in his arms, sobs settling down and breathing slowing. you fought the urge to sleep as best you could, yet your eyes still fluttered close. his cologne filled your nose, the scent making its way to your mind.

you felt better. your head hurt, but at least your chest didnt have the ache from before. it felt nice to finally let it all out. all your frustrations and stress, even if the comfort received was little.

you felt safe, soul resting and soon your mind. eyes fluttering open a few times, getting a glimpse around the room. your room, and beside you crosshairs and ironhide. their arms and bodies wrapped around yours, embraces tight yet soft.

I have an AU for Transformers prime and it's just a mess.

Like imagine when Cybertron is rebuilt and everyone setteling in. Yeah well in this AU (RID never happend sorry) there is like an autobot base in the middle of Iacon called the Tower and it's like a Hero center thing kinda like in Hero Factory if you seen the show.

The whole purpose of the Tower is to basicly catch criminals and remaining decepticon forces that refused to sit on their aft and be happy about peace.

And the characters my god. Let's start with Bee. He becomes a detective and is kind of linked to the Tower but he is more like a cop than an operator (thats the name I come up with because calling them heroes all the time sounds pretty stupid to me.) He is a more serious version of himself but still knows how to have fun and often goes with Smokescreen to have a friendly racing or he hangs out with Sideswipe and Sunstreaker when he is on a break. He is also close friends with Bluestreak, Prowl (kinda his boss) and Jazz.

And the change of the century: Smokescreen. Oh boy I had fun with this one. So when the war is over he just doesn't know what to do with himself so to Prowl's advice (his older brother and Blue is his younger) starts to utilize his gift in tactics (his G1 self is a tactican) and starts learning defens tactics. This earns him the position of Chife of security which basicly means he is the gloryfid babysitter of the Tower. I wanted to see him get a self check from life, like see what he was like during the war and then absolutly hate it. His personality changed the most drasticly now he is a 100% done with everyone and everything, is offically Cybertron's most scariest bot and if you mess with him or his kindergarden he will certainly hunt you down. He can be pretty laid back too especially if he's off duty. He has this friends to lovers relationship with Bee and an unlikely friendship with Arcee and Mirage. With Arcee he's like the sister he never had and didn't think he needed and with Mirage is just I dunno I think they would click. He totally has girls night outs with Arcee and the other femmes. Also Devcon is there.

Sideswipe and Sunny do not separet. Just don't I love them as this chaos twin duo package that gives Smokescreen a helmache. They are totally pulling pranks on everybody but their favourit target has to be Ratchet. Also Sunny is friends with Knockout. Deal with it.

There is no Strongarm (sorry not sorry I hate this character and that is rare if I ever hate a character) but you can get a reformed Starscream who works for the Tower and his field is criminology. He is always seen talking with Knockout and these two has the hottest tea of everything that is happening. His job is to basicly make a criminal profile and collect every information about them possible. His helping hand is of course none other than Soundwave who still doesn't talk instead he shows emojis on his screenface.

And that is basicly it a rag tag team of ex heroes and villains trying their hardest to keep peace and stop the Senate of doing anything that could end up causing the next never ending war.

Questions and answers below the cut!

1. Will they take in former vehicons?

Some will join their fold, yes. Any vehicons/eradicons that wish to defect are welcomed. There are several who are loyal to, and follow Starscream that are disillusioned with Megatron's leadership. However, many eradicons/vehicons were created and trained under the Decepticon rhetoric of might=right and then dumped on commanders as they expanded their reach and numbers dwindled.

One of Starscream's bigger narrative points in this AU is that he doesn't fit with Decepticons, largely because he is a leader that prioritizes efficiency, minimal losses, and strategy. His seekers respect that. However, a large number of vehicons/eradicons raised under Megatron's showy, physical strength based, big impact but high loss leadership see Starscream as clever but the less devastating leader between the two which... Is technically correct but Megatron's devastating comes with the price of high losses.

Long answer short, some vehicons/eradicons DO follow Starscream but not as many as one would hope right away. More will join the pirate crew over time the worse Megatron gets.

2. Who is the 'Cap' n Jack' of the crew?

I'm not 100% certain how to answer this. Wheeljack and Starscream are probably the most chaotic, oddball, loose canons of the bunch so them perhaps?

3. Which one of the trine shares embarrassing stories about Starscream at the table?

Pick one, and it's not just embarrassing ones about Starscream. TC, Starscream, and Skywarp may not technically be split-spark brothers like Dreadwing and Skyquake but they may as well be with their brother-like dynamic of bickering but fondly.

4. Do the kids have flight rights?

TC is the first one to actually give them a ride. Miko asked Skywarp who agreed but that got a firm NO from Bulkhead. No flight rights until shortly after when Raf was doing an assignment on aerodynamics that Thundercracker took him for a flight. Miko actually convinced Starscream with a reverse psychology 'Are you going to let the autobots tell you what to do?!' and 'Psh I bet you fly like an old granny' afterwards. Skywarp was eventually allowed to take the kids for flights but only after they had painstakingly taught him about human limits and flight safety. Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and Arcee absolutely mother hen the heck outta their charges the first few flights.

Eventually when the rest of the bots get flight upgrades as they move to the Harbinger indefinitely they take the kids for flights too.

5. Does Ratchet still eventually go apeshit and almost kill Megatron by driving up the side of the Nemesis, knocking out a window, and bursting through at 1 am when he's high?

ABSOLUTELY. I was originally going to leave it as it was in TfP but this image is so frigging funny that this is now what happens in the AU.

6. If Starscream is genuinely respected and a good captain, which one of the crew almost throws hands with Arcee the first time they take the Bots on board?

While the atmosphere is tense the thing about this AU is some of the beginning is changed. I will detail it more eventually but essentially, there is a longer season one where Starscream is in charge and being a competent leader, and Cliffjumper is captured by Starscream but dies by Megatron's hand as a climactic "Oh shit Megatron has joined" narrative point to really nail home Megatron's devastation.

Basically where TfP actually begins would be bumped a season. So while Arcee and Team Prime still have a beef with Starscream, because he will have a whole season of doing crimes and overall being a major pain in the ass for team Prime, it won't be as revenge heavy from Arcee as it is in actual TfP.

7. Who's the worse night owl: Starscream or Optimus?

Optimus. Starscream is close though.

8. How will Ultra Magnus ever compute? working??? with pirates!?!?

With suffering and constant internal screaming. This man was not meant to be a part of a crew with so many loose cannons. Basically becomes the ship's equivalent of the 'Don't tell mom' role. Reportedly seen nailing up a 'NO fun allowed' sign.

9. Will Starscream get his original colours back or will he still be in the grays?

He will still be in the grays but I just may make the grays a little less patchy when he gets a minor frame upgrade! While I totally understand why people like the OG colours they aren't my favourite and I also don't feel like they fit with Harbingers Scream.

10. How many pranks a day?

The real question is have we found them all yet? Skywarp is a clever and patient little shit and can setup a prank that won't have a payoff for months. Nobody truly knows how many pranks could happen in a day except Skywarp himself.

11. How much Command Trine fluff will be served? Will we have a birb pile? Do the Bots come up to the brig to find Starscream passed out over a console with Skywarp snuggled to his side and Thundercracker with one arm around them both side-eyeing the others as the come in one morning?

There will be both fluff and angst with the trine. There is some initial struggle due to the very reason that we don't see any of Starscream's seeker armada in TfP. Megatron is manipulative and good at it too. They also will call him out for shit. But there will be fluff. And though Starscream frequently over works himself there will be times when Thundercracker and/or Skywarp drag him to bed or sit with him for awhile.

Today was a stressful day for Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. He apparently got a report that there was a big fire very close to the scrapyard! Optimus got PANICKED. Like, really panicked! His wife, Y/N Prime, was at the scrapyard together with Russel and Denzel! Russel is a small boy while his dad is Denzel. They're good friends with the bots and Y/N. 

Y/N was a young beautiful woman that was married to a mighty handsome leader. They've been together for YEARS! They met each other in Jasper Nevada. The team was known as Team Prime at the time. Very good old times... sometimes sad, depressing, and anger. But mostly were good! The leader and the human fell in love with each other immediately. It was like love at first sight. Romantic, right? 

Now, Optimus doesn't know yet that Y/N, Denzel, and Russel were brought to safety in time. Denzel decided to keep an eye on the bots and wait for their return to tell the news. Russel is a very deep sleep in a bedroom while Y/N took a shower and washed her body. Her hair was 100% fine, so no worries. She wore a loose F/C shirt and... sexy lace panties from Victoria's Secret. The panties were dark blue and red, matching Optimus' colors of his plates (or armor). She decided to wear like why not? But also to secretly tease her husband... 

You may be wondering where they all were now during this whole fire incident? They're at the secret base. No, not from TFP but the base was also kinda like a big massive house! It had to be big because the bots can turn small. Correction: they're close to normal human's height. But they're a tiny bit taller. Surprise, right? But there was also a garage so they can easily get in. A military garage. Y/N and Optimus shared a big bedroom. It also meant that their bed was big too! Y/N was right now sleeping on it, covers not over her.

Optimus transformed along with Bumblebee and his team. He turned towards them. "You all did a good job, today. The Rescue Bots will take care of the problem."

"So, that's all for today?" Sideswipe asked.

"Yes, that's all for today," Bumblebee answered his teammate.

Optimus was about to respond until Denzel opened the door fast with a cup of hot coffee in his hand. "You guys are alright!"

"Are you all alright? Where's Y/N?" Optimus asked worriedly.

"We all are alright. Your wife is sleeping," Denzel said with a smile.

Optimus nodded. He calmed down since his wife was alright. But he's very stressed. He turned to face his team. "I wish you all a good recharge." He immediately walked off. 

"I bet that Optimus was eager to see his wife," Sideswipe smirked.

"I think so too,"  Strongarm said with a smile.

Bumblebee only shook his helm with a smile while rolling his optics. "As Optimus said, get some recharge."

In the bedroom~

Y/N was peacefully sleeping since she's exhausted due to the fire incident. When the Autobots got informed, they immediately contacted the Rescue Bots too and explained everything. Heatwave (he's my favorite bot of the Rescue Bots Academy show) and others arrived fast as they could. They took care of the fire while the Autobots went to find out how the fire started. It was a beautiful day, but it was not a very hot day! The Autobots found the answer fast how it happened. The Decepticons. Apparently, they were trying to kill Y/N, Russel, and Denzel! Let me tell you, Optimus was SUPER mad! Not only him but others too! But the Prime didn't want to lose his wife! Once the Autobots caught some Decepticons, Optimus ripped their sparks out. Man, the whole team didn't saw him THAT mad!

Optimus turned himself small and entered the bedroom quietly. He smiled softly once he saw his wife sleeping peacefully. But he then looks at her body. Her curvy, sexy body. He felt himself getting hard behind the panel cover. He especially has now lust in his optics once he saw the lace panties that matched his colors. He's stressed and he needs to relax.

"Mmmm..." Y/N moaned softly as she felt Optimus gently rubbing her head that moved to her hip, slightly under her loose shirt.

"Hey, sweetspark," Optimus said softly, yet stressed.

She then moved so that she was laying on her back with Optimus on top of her. His servo was still on her hip. "You can make it up to me by taking me, Prime. I know that you're stressed.~" She smirked.

Optimus smirked back while his servo went under her panties to rub her clit, causing Y/N to jolt and moan. "A-Ah, Opti- Hphm.~" She got kissed deeply by her lovely handsome husband.

Slowly, her clothes came off so that she's fully naked under Optimus. He couldn't hold it back anymore that his spike broke free. He and Y/N parted from the kiss panting as Y/N gently pushed his spike towards her entrance. "Take me.~"

Optimus smirked.

"Gladly." He then slammed into her, causing her to scream in pleasure as the Prime grunted.

Y/N moaned as she enjoyed every second of him, her husband slamming into her each time. He hit her G-spot each time that she saw stars and she even had hearts formed in her eyes! Optimus saw that he chuckled while smirking. His stress was slowly washing away as he's enjoying this sex each second.

A question for ur TF fic. What if when Harry gets turned he's like, younger? When it happens I mean (He is 10 right?) Like, five or something maybe? What would change? How would the bots and cons react? How would Harry react?

Hey you! Sorry that took a hot minute. 

Yeah, Harry’s ten in the fic. 

The way I intended it was that he was clearly ten in his internal monologue right up until he was turned into a robobaby. Then the trauma on top of a completely different set of instincts had him thinking and behaving a good 5-3 years younger than his current age with a gradual upward incline as he got more comfortable and familiar with himself in later chapters. Right now in the narrative, he’s almost back to normal, we’re just waiting on a returning desire for independence which won’t happen until he’s secure in his relationship with Megs.

So to make him five, I think that drop in maturity would come off much more dramatically. He was a pretty independent human ten-year-old, resigned to his treatment as a servant, and capable on his own. A five-year-old Harry would be far newer to his servant status and much more unsure of himself from the getgo- Five-year-olds aren’t built for the kind of independence the Durselys expect from him, we’re right in the middle of those growing pains. 

Then we turn him into a robobaby. 

(I like the age I chose for Harry but sad baby Harry was so cute I made this a little long for more details, excuse my indulgence)

Appearance-wise he wouldn’t change much. He’s already too small and at the youngest growth stage, his internal programming would probably be more toddler-esque with a stronger inclination to cry for attention, a greater need for positive attention, and more automatic behaviors geared toward inciting those things. 

Oh and he keeps his lisp.

The first few days would be a nightmare, like constant crying, deeply distressed at all times, desperately reaching out to the scientists on blind instinct and getting reprimanded for it at every turn. A whole mess, a whole inconsolable mess, the scientists think there’s something fundamentally wrong with him, he’s incoherent past the point of even perceived aggression. 

Then Megatron makes his move. He’s been hearing what sounds like a newspark being tortured for hours and hours and now that he can see that it probably isn’t a sleep paralysis-level nightmare driving him to madness he needs to Handle This ASAP.

First problem- Harry isn’t responding to cool, logical instructions to communicate through comm. He’s way past regular conversation. 

This is eventually resolved when Megatron very clumsily takes the right stabs at comforting him. It takes hours, some sullen silences, panicking, maybe a soft reboot or two, but he does get there. Crooning lullabies, softer sentences, praise when Harry stops crying, Megatron is flying so blind it isn’t even funny but he’s not dumb, he can see it’s working.

The transformers view PA!Harry as a very gifted and mature toddler. This itty bitty little baby can fit so much serious thought and a burgeoning emotional intelligence in it so they try their best to accommodate and not come off terribly condescending. Success varies. 

Younger!Harry acts much truer to his appearance. So in general, how the TF crew thinks of Harry changes very little, but how they respond to him does.

Megatron is as soft as he can possibly be to the point of genuine pain. Harry is so much more emotionally dependant and lost that it’s less easy to drift back into overlord mode around him. You’ll note that Megatron doesn’t have another mode to switch to, just a rusty parental unit protocol set he’s never activated before. Soundwave gets called down immediately, surveillance be damned, he needs someone with caretaking knowledge and he needs them now. 

Bumblebee doesn’t really perceive the difference, he couldn’t clock Harry’s age in any au, he was kinda sure the bot was glitched initially. His genuine confusion when Harry kicks and screams and sobs like a very young child who’s thinnest thread of guidance was just ripped away from him by a lying yellow monster easily comes across as cruelty. The mistrust and fear/hatred Harry develops for him does not mellow for far longer than his stay with the Autobots.

On the bright side his meltdown makes the Autobots come to terms with their find much more quickly. They could hear the distress calls a mile from the dam and had a lot of the freakout there instead. 

Ironhide rips him out of Bumblebee’s cab while Jazz is split between hovering worriedly and tearing the scout to pieces for allowing him to get so worked up. Similar rough aesthetic and coloring to Megatron and an English accent help a great deal in calming Harry down and the rocking and lullabies do the rest. 

Every Autobot has his targeting systems on and a whole lot of automatic aggression coursing through them with the terror and pain of a sparkling still fresh in the air. After Bumblebee is brought to miserable apologies and Bonecrusher is ripped limb from limb they’re still pumped and ready to Throw Down with Megatron. But he just makes that deal to keep Harry safe and assures Harry that he’ll be okay with Optimus and Megs’ll be back soon. 

Harry is still distraught Megatron left him with strangers. But he’s there long enough to form those Autobot attachments, primarily with Ironhide, Ratchet and Jazz.

Ironhide doesn’t put him down much at all, even when Harry tries to hide it, he gets anxious all alone on the cot and much prefers the nook between pauldron and helm to cuddle in and listen to growly war stories and life lessons. He sleeps up there whenever possible too. Ironhide can tell all this and happily allows it, staying stock-still for hours and gently rousing him whenever Harry begins to have a nightmare about the dam.

Ironhide’s perception hasn’t logically changed much, but the way Harry behaves ticks every box to drive him into an overprotective rampage, to the point that humans aren’t allowed within thirty feet of him and even the tiniest whimper has him hovering like three thousand pounds of promised death over his charge. 

They bond the closest, to the point that Ironhide could plausibly replace Megatron as Harry’s imprinted guardian (but he doesn’t).

Jazz and Ratchet share tertiary ‘older brother’ type roles in Harry’s life. Jazz reads to him, plays games with him, and holds him when Ironhide can’t be there. His playful casualness helps keep Harry calm and gets him to open up, but its not something he responds to as successfully. Camaraderie is appreciated but not something an insecure five-year-old always understands.

Jazz gains the most points correcting Optimus’ treatment of him and handling any humans who get into the hanger before Ironhide does something drastic. Thinks that play up his aptitude as a parental figure and devotion to keeping him healthy and safe. 

Ratchet...he really needs Harry’s observational skills and willingness to shoulder some emotional weight in the relationship, unfair or not. Without the ability to deliver the reassurance Ratchet needs, in addition to possessing a much more fragile disposition himself, it can be difficult for Ratchet to interact with Harry. He keeps to himself when Harry doesn’t ask for him or need treatment and they read rejection in each other’s hesitance too often for Harry to pursue the affection fit to burst in Ratchet.

Ratchet would 100% die for him and is right up there with Ironhide as his most aggressive defender, but he isn’t a great source of comfort for Younger!Harry. He wins his points through being the best cuddler, hands down, and praising him most often. Soft moments when neither of them are shy or afraid are where they’re closest.

Optimus is weirdly like Bumblebee here. He has Harry clocked as infant but god knows that that’s supposed to mean. He doesn’t have a mode outside of Prime to switch to for Harry and the stumbling we see in PA is him doing his very best. He’s not dumb, he recognizes that Harry isn’t emotionally mature enough to be spoken to the way he might mistakenly speak to him in PA, but he doesn’t have any other words. There’s a lot of frustrated staring and helpless silences here. 

Jazz tries his best to gently encourage some softer interactions and Ironhide is raring to punish his Prime if he dares misstep with his sparkling charge, tensions stay a little high.

With Soundwave planning Harry’s extraction, it goes off almost without a hitch, no sparklings were bitten in the attempt at least. Thundercracker might actually die depending on the plan. He has the most experience out of the Decepticons with immature and young bots via his own casseticons and a paternal disposition under all his cool logic. So he’s bustling around like an expectant mother, training up all the other Cons in grueling exercises and curriculum to get them up to his standards of child rearing aptitude and childproofing the base.

Megatron really does appreciate some tangible, reliable instructions. He’d appreciate it even more if he wasn’t a little bit threatened by how confident and capable Soundwave is when interacting with Harry. Soundwave quickly becomes the second favorite- almost on par with Ironhide.

Barricade is terrified of Harry in that way twenty-somethings are terrified when married friends give them babies and then leave to do something. This is way too important and delicate for him and someone pleaserescuehimitsgettingcloserohmygod-

Thundercracker is much more cautious handling Harry. We haven’t gotten there yet in PA, but he’s kind of the fun uncle who definitely goads Harry into things partially to get under Meg’s skin. Not so when Harry is more openly vulnerable and clumsy, now we’ve got a little baby chick who needs to stay in his nest and be warm and safe. Gliding will happen much, much later. If ever.

Harry was affected by how the scientists treated him to the point of being intensely shy around friendly, good humans and flatly terrified of anyone else. Megatron hunted down every remaining SS agent with Soundwave’s help to finish the job for that.

Eventually, Harry would feel more secure and comfortable and would start wanting to be on the ground and playing with less parental bots instead of carried everywhere by his guardians, but that recovery is achieved at the Decepticon base after some weeks have passed.

Okay and I think that’s it! Thanks for asking!! I had probably too much fun...

TFP!Guardian Autobots with a human charge who's rather laid back and lazy, they're obedient and don't really cause anyone trouble. Maybe one day they surprise their bots by rushing into a fight to save their bot with healing powers after taking the enemy out first using their tiny bare hands. The reason they laze around so much is because they have to save their energy to use the ability and using it makes them very sluggish. (Congrats on 100 followers! You totally deserve it your blog rocks!)

Optimus Prime

Optimus never thought too much of your relaxed attitude, because so long as you will listen and don’t cause any problems, he has nothing to complain about. He was having a one on one fight with Megatron while the rest of Team Prime fought against other Decepticons, and he was currently on the losing end, having received a serious hit to his side that led to energon pouring from the wound despite his attempt to stem it. When he saw you rushing forward, his optics widened as he shouted for someone to grab you, but you managed to dodge them all. He didn’t know how, but you managed to land a single hit on Megatron’s helm hard enough to make the warlord stumble. In his shock and pain Optimus took a knee, putting him at a better level for you to go to him while the Decepticons called a retreat. You worked on healing Optimus’ wound, interrupting his attempted scolding by scolding him in turn, also explaining your ability. Once he was healed and you had finished your explanation he’d sigh, expression softening but still clearly concerned, carefully picking you up in his servo so you can rest as he stands up. “While your gift is greatly appreciated, you must be more careful. Now let us return to base so you may rest.”

Ratchet

Ratchet is a little frustrated by how lazy you are since there’s always something to be done in the base, be it cleaning or helping the other humans, anything. But after The Incident, he doesn’t complain about it when you spend the day moving as little as humanly possible. Said incident was his bright idea that he could handle fighting Knockout by himself, which was a failure since he’s terribly out of practice. While he had been left alive, he was leaking energon profusely. He had honestly forgotten you came along with him to investigate the decepticon activity until you came charging from your hiding spot, stealing the relic from Knockout and hitting him hard enough to dent his armor. Of course the Decepticon hadn’t expected such force from a small organic, and scurried off to tell Megatron of this development. Afterwards you rushed to Ratchet and healed him despite him trying to keep you from getting the energon on yourself. Primus knows what energon on human skin would do. However his protests were silenced when he realized the wound was closing, per your efforts. He remained silent until you were done, catching you before you could fall. “How…?” He mumbled more to himself, picking you up in both servos carefully with the relic safely stored in his subspace before bridging back to base to ensure you were still ok and try to figure out how you had healed a Cybertronian. After a slow but basic explanation of your ability to Ratchet, he puts you on couch rest for the remainder of the day, still prohibits you from going on missions if he can help it, and he stops complaining when he finds you lazing about. No one else knows about The Incident.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee had taken you for a casual drive while Raf was at school and to do patrol. It was nice and peaceful until two vehicons showed up. Bee transformed and hid you behind a rock before turning to face the cons, not seeing you come out of your hiding place to help him take down the vehicons. Unfortunately Bee didn’t think you would be able to protect yourself so he ended up getting blasted in the abdomen while trying to get you behind the rock again, knocking the scout to the ground. You took out that vehicon with a few punches before rushing to tend to Bee, who was beeping worriedly at you and trying to check for any injuries. You shushed him and proceeded to heal him, laughing a little when you heard soft whirs of amazement come from him as he watched the wound close. You’d have to explain what you just did to him as you two continued the patrol, and he would make sure no one gave you any slag for lazing around after this.

Bulkhead

Bulkhead had thought he had gotten pretty good at making sure his charges hadn’t followed him on missions thanks to Miko. Despite this you somehow managed to sneak through the ground bridge with him, watching him take on Breakdown. You paid close attention before sneaking into the heat of it and managing to yank Breakdown back by pulling on his leg after he landed a hard hit on Bulkhead, sending the large mech flying. Startled by this development, Breakdown headed back to rendezvous with Knockout and return to the Nemesis. In the meantime you ran over to Bulkhead, seeing he had a thankfully small wound, but one you still felt should be taken care of now. He started to scold you but you didn’t say anything, instead working on healing his wound to stop the flow of energon. He was about to ask what you were doing when he could feel the plating mending itself, his eyes widening in shock. Once you finished he caught you in his servo carefully, taking you back to base while letting you explain what had happened. Once he gets the full story he finally gives his opinion on it. “As awesome as that is, you really shouldn’t go rushing into a battle, especially since I sort of had it under control. I don’t want you getting hurt.” He doesn’t complain about your laziness, instead letting you relax and making sure Miko doesn’t try to make you do too much and ensuring you get the rest you need.

Arcee

Arcee of course noticed you were less active than the other kids, but didn’t think much of it. You weren’t a problem so she wasn’t going to complain. However what she would complain about would be timing. You and she were out on what was supposed to be a simple reconnaissance mission. In and out, no fighting. Then Airachnid showed up and...you can imagine how that went. A full out brawl started between the two femmes with Arcee urging you to run and get somewhere safe. What neither femme expected was for you to start running towards them, and even manage to rip off one of Airachnid’s spindly spider legs, sending her tumbling and dripping energon. She retreated, cursing you out and swearing you’ll be her next trophy for that. Arcee was breathing heavily, battered and bruised, but alive. She immediately turned to you to start scolding you for being more impulsive than Wheeljack! However she stumbled mid-sentence when you started to heal her, making her trail off in silence with her jaw slightly dropped in surprise. You have to explain it to her on the way back to base because she’s very confused and knows most humans can’t heal Cybertronians or fight them. After this, she doesn’t think twice about seeing you lounging around. Have at it, you aren’t hurting anyone.

Bumblebee (2018)

I can’t remember the last time a series’ sixth entry was its best. Bumblebee defies all odds. It’s everything the Transformers franchise attempted to be from the beginning.

On the robotic planet Cybertron, the Autobots rebels are on the verge of defeat at the cruel Decepticons' hands. Young Autobot scout B-127 lands on Earth to establish a new base, only to be ambushed and critically injured. Disguising itself as a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle, amnesiac "Bumblebee" is adopted by Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld), an 18-year-old music lover.

This is Travis Knight’s second go as a director and the first at live-action. He’s building one hell of a portfolio. Gone is Michael Bay’s trademark frat boy humor and stakes so high you just don’t care anymore. This is a small picture that's handled with care. The story is sweet; packed with laughs and emotion. The hand at the wheel is strong, confident, and steady.

Mountains of praises must be poured onto Hailee Steinfeld - who was acting against a green ball during shooting. She’s instantly likable and 100% adorable. Her emotional moments with her mother (Pamela Adlon), younger brother (Jason Drucker), stepfather (Stephen Schneider) and late father are so genuine you wonder if you’ve stepped into the right movie at first. Then there’s the chemistry she has with her co-worker, Memo (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.) which is handled with such delicacy and restraint - there are much bigger things going so no time for teenage smoochie-smooches -  you don’t want the movie to end!

“But what about the Transformers?” The bulk of them are still on Cybertron blasting each other to scrap in footage reminiscent of the War for Cybertron games. When robots fight, however, differentiating who's who and what's happening is child's play. The film's bulk is focussed on Charlie and her relationship with Bumblebee, their comical hi jinxes as she attempts to acclimate him to Earth’s rules, the way the robot allows her to go on adventures. It’s when we cut to Sector 7 Agent Jack Burns (John Cena) that we're reminded their fun can only last so long.

My biggest and only real gripe is that Bumblebee doesn’t outright contradict anything directed by Michael Bay. This film is so strong and so much fun I say pull the trigger and put the pre-established continuity down for good. Start over with THIS as your first movie. I suppose you could also say this is also a bit of familiar territory. It's E.T., Iron Giant. That's good company. We don't see this type of story done this well often.

Bumblebee is a great-looking, character-driven picture bursting to the seams with heart, with non-stop laughs, and exciting action. I didn't expect to love anything “Transformers" after calling Transformers: The Last Knight the worst film of 2017... but here I am! (Theatrical version on the big screen, December 22, 2018)

I have had a post idea in mind for like two years now that would touch on this trend and compare it to the characterisations of Optimus and Megatron in other TF shows/media so AYYYYYY I’m 100% here for this 

thank you for bringing this up!!! 

I think that because the content of IDW 1 is almost counter-cultural, in that it heavily features LGBTQIA+ content, explores more adult themes in far more detail etc. than other TF media, and touches on oppression, discrimination, etc. in ways that are framed fairly realistically while also making sense within the context of the fictional world  

and this tends to draw a fanbase that is typically also counter-cultural, which inherently includes a large number of people who are LGBTQIA+, victims of systemic oppression and discrimination, etc. themselves

this includes me, as well! 

and I think that it’s not necessarily hate for Optimus and apologist attitudes towards Megatron, but rather, the reaction towards these characters can generally speaking be broken down as based on such: 

IDW Optimus: Orion was a Cop - Formative Influences and Traditional Leadership 

Optimus in IDW 1 is easy for such an audience demographic to take issue with, as he starts out as quite literally a figure of authority which very much embodies the problems with law and society on Cybertron and can easily be paralleled to such figures in real life

and although understandably within the context of that character’s personal journey etc., Optimus is not inherently a bad person, we do see that when things were clearly degrading on Cybertron, he was fully aware of a significant amount of danger and struggle and suffering, suggested to have continued to act in his role of authority up until a certain point; 

it took Senator Shockwave sort of talking things through with him for Orion to fully understand that actually, this is really seriously bad, and his position of authority does protect him and keeps him ignorant of the real effect of these things to some degree while acutely exposing him to other blatant examples of the harm their social structure causes, but personally but also he embodies the same oppression that is clearly harming people by way of being a cop 

now, Orion could not have really done much, as he was not as protected as some others in a higher position who very much could have taken him out, and we see this happen with Senator Shockwave 

but then going into the war, what exactly is he fighting for? 

while he represented Cybertronian law, which we know was very much harmful and destructive, he shifts to representing.... opposition to Megatron, who is set up in the story at the start of the war as having entirely legitimate concerns and desires for widespread change 

the story just doesn’t have enough time to fully set up the very start of the war very much, and it is left a little vague where we can fill in some key events but they aren’t shown in much detail as the start/transition into war very likely could have taken up a whole series in and of itself 

but we do see that while Orion begins to understand and finally works out a way to take some actions, he is very much understanding of Megatron’s point of view and his consternation and conflict begins when the Decepticon movement forms and gradually starts to de-rail a bit 

I think because IDW 1 handles things very realistically, there is sort of a greater awareness that while yes, the onus is usually placed on Megatron to have de-escalated things, 

it’s also worth remembering that Optimus, especially as a Matrix holder by around this time (skipping around a bit), very much then had the same level of authority if not a greater level of authority in the eyes of fellow Cybertronians to attempt de-escalation 

by this point, Megatron was already somewhat de-railed from his original ideals, and the movement had already started to warp into something beyond a push for positive revolutionary change 

but there is very much a sense that Optimus still struggled to really understand, and that hindered his ability to potentially encourage any real diplomacy or fair discourse with Megatron 

because this echoes very real situations in real life, where people from better social positions with some level of “formal” authority are aware of suffering and get a little more educated on what’s going on and start to see the problems that they’re maybe unknowingly or systemically supporting by not engaging more with the issues at hand and so on, 

ultimately, it’s easy to say, what the hell, Optimus? because his actions, and some critical actions and decisions he makes, would suggest that while he does have good intentions and does want to end the conflict and does want people to live better lives, 

he has a tendency to contextualise things only through his own personal experiences and understandings of anything going on-- this is highlighted by how he does come to understand things better when Senator Shockwave highlights things to him, 

but when left on his own and in a position of overwhelming authority (Matrix possession), he then fails to utilise the extensively diverse close group of friends, resources, connections, etc. that he has in what becomes the core Autobot team, and still defaults to his own perspective when analysing things 

and his perspective is that of someone who was a police officer working to enforce the laws of a very harmful, oppressive system 

and while he does try to make efforts to move away from those influences, he is ultimately still limited in how much he actually learns and explores in the period right before the war kicks off 

which results in an Optimus who, despite having good intentions and clearly making efforts to get better and do better for people, very much feels a little off 

of course, he’s a person and he has his own problems, and it’s understandable that someone like him would naturally have a disconnect between his situation and experiences versus those of someone like Megatron 

but he also embodies an almost “falling upwards” trajectory: cop learns about oppression from fellow privileged person who has a little more insight, then tries to do good and does actually get in trouble a bit for trying, but ultimately gains greater authority through entirely systemic and traditional means (the Matrix),

 then fails to fully utilise or understand what is going on partially due to circumstances and partially due to his own focus on what he feels is right as opposed to what may have best been discussed if possible with others who are more able to interpret and relate certain aspects of the opposition to him (and doing this is critical for a leader especially in conflict) 

essentially: IDW 1 Optimus is understandably struggling, he’s a person, but he’s also a leader who came into power in a very particular way, and we see that his leadership skills are less refined than in other depictions, and he continues to keep a mindset informed more by his past than by the present or any possible thought for the future (aside from “we gotta win because peace”),

but then he also gets de-railed, very similar to Megatron, and any real Autobot ideology sort of falls to the wayside in favour of singular goals, with a lot of decisions being weighed down by his difficulties which may have been resolvable to a better ultimate outcome if he had simply worked with his team a bit better- but it seems his leadership style was inevitably influenced by his formative understanding of authority and police work structures, and that’s not great, even though it is understandable 

keeping in mind that originally (G1) Orion was a dock worker, so this shift in backstory was also somewhat initially jarring for a lot of fans (especially working class fans and fans who experience discrimination/class related issues/ etc. in real life) of the franchise overall, which definitely contributed to some early hesitancy from such fans as well-- and a lot of IDW 1 fans can be described this way, as the subject matter and the way it is developed largely appeals to us.

so I don’t think anyone really hates IDW 1 Optimus, at least not that I’ve seen, but this interpretation of the character doesn’t tend to sit very well with those of us who have, y’know, been mistreated by cops, spoken over by people with higher social status but less understanding of the issues affecting us, etc. 

which is a lot of the fanbase for IDW 1. 

I must admit, when I first read the series and realised Orion was a cop, all I could think about, for one example, was the time I was wrongfully arrested and taken to NYPD Port Authority, and it was traumatic, and I don’t like picturing Optimus Prime ever having done such a thing-- although we know that he very much did, at least for some time during his career as Orion, and it’s just awful because Senator Shockwave had to take him aside to really get him to understand that yes actually this system is hurting people and you’re a part of that system and you need to think about this stuff 

like, yikes  :( 

IDW 1 Megatron: Pre-War Onward, Blue Flowers 

Quite frankly, given that the majority of IDW 1 fans are people who relate a lot to the very serious themes and struggles depicted for a lot of the characters in the series, it’s not surprising that we tend to love Megatron. 

We learn about his past, which is instantly relatable to a lot of people for a lot of reasons. 

This is not taking an apologist stance, but rather, I think the vast majority of IDW 1 fans uphold Megatron fully aware of the horrific shit he’s done, but also, the way his character is handled is incredible because a point is very much made that not even Megatron himself is seeking to apologise for his past actions. 

At no point does Megatron even attempt to apologise directly, because he (and everyone, and we the audience) know that there is no apology possible that can rectify anything. 

Instead, we see an introspective Megatron. We see him struggle with guilt, struggle with anger management, struggle with depression, and we come to understand as his backstory is revealed that his traumas and what was happening on Cybertron and the sheer level of oppression and violence he was facing was, and this is important: 

It does not excuse his actions, but it does explain how he got to the point where he lost control, and we also see that of course, nobody is an island. 

He started out as someone desperately seeking equality and equity in a society geared towards using and destroying him. This is incredibly relatable to most of the fanbase-- Many of us are striving for this right now, in real life.

He experiences severe traumas, and publishes his writings, and as those writings become speeches, and get shared more and more, he gains popularity as a revolutionary figure. 

By the time the war is under way, we see Megatron lose sight of his goals, losing a sense for the minutia and detail, hyperfocusing on simply winning and clearing the way for a world of his own making, for his own people. 

This distortion, sadly, can be seen in many real world parallels. We also see Optimus experience the same degradation over time, but it is Megatron who is often held to account the most because he is objectively causing the most harm, which is an understandable view-- Although it is worth keeping in mind that you cannot have a peace agreement without both leaders willing to engage, and we see both leaders, Optimus and Megatron, struggle and fail to do so nearly at all past a certain point. 

This is not to excuse Megatron at all, but just something worth keeping in mind in general. Usually we see Megatron depicted as refusing to engage, but in IDW 1, we also see Optimus fail to attempt to engage at a couple points where doing so may have been beneficial, as both teams were more or less focused on de-railed singular goal points by that time in the war. We also see Optimus disinterested at times, so there is the same type of fatigue on both sides, and this likely contributed to further derailment and prolongment of conflict. This is, sadly, realistic. 

Because Megatron’s history is so relatable to so many people, I can see how it can be read as apologism, but overwhelmingly in the fanbase I tend to notice that those of us who like IDW 1 Megatron the most are also people who have suffered systemic violence etc. 

And that makes him a very appealing character, because of course nothing will make up for what he did, but we understand where he started from and how things got distorted, and perhaps most importantly, we see that even though no apology or reparation is possible, he still takes the initiative to try to do better.

It is not his past in IDW 1 that is critical, but in the timeline of the story as it is happening, it is his future that is emphasised.  

He genuinely tries to at least make his future self less awful than his past self, and while that may seem obvious, remember that all the characters in universe are naturally hostile towards him, he has past friends and acquaintances who constantly tempt him and try to drag him back into his old ways. 

But he resists, and grows, and accepts the criticism and understands the hate of others, and sees and genuinely understands where he went wrong, and he does not go back. 

Instead, he goes forward. 

And that’s why, I think, a lot  of people really love IDW 1 Megatron. 

He’s someone who was oppressed, then lost his path as his ideology warped and became a destroyer, then he came out the other side of what has largely been a catastrophic, sad, violent, depressed and hateful and bitter life as someone who at the very least has seen that they lost their way and has made efforts to never cause that harm again. 

Megatron, legitimately and ultimately of his own volition, chose peace in the end. Even when peace was never afforded to him from the very beginning of his life, even when he himself led one of the worst conflicts in galactic history, unfathomable loss and suffering all around. 

And that doesn’t excuse his actions during the war, or any of that. 

But it does turn a warlord into a very realistic depiction of someone who was wronged, and then did wrong, and eventually learned from both of these perspectives and decided to do what they could to not contribute to any suffering anymore. 

We never forget that Megatron did horrible things. He, in-universe, never forgets this, and neither do any of the other characters. 

Instead, these wrongs are acknowledged, the magnitude and severity of them are acknowledged, and Megatron understands that the best and only thing he can do from here on out is to try to just be a better person, return to his original ideals, and work with others to do at least non-harmful actions. 

And he does that.

And it’s a very rare depiction of a warlord character who is not relieved of responsibility, but rather, accepts that responsibility in a realistic way. 

The past can’t be undone or rectified, but the future is still yet to be made. 

In the end, Megatron is either led away to indefinite imprisonment, the worst possible fate for someone whose entire life was based around trying to escape confinement, or to execution, a death that he has accepted. 

On the alternate Lost Light, we see Megatron as part of the crew, going forward into a future that he has consciously decided to be better in, to do better for. 

That’s a realistic end, and a hopeful end. 

I don’t think fans apologise for Megatron, but I think it’s very nuanced and very much up for individual interpretation; Personally, I feel like IDW 1 Megatron is masterfully written to avoid any apologetics, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen any outright apologism for this character in the wider fanbase.

It’s way early in the morning where I’m at, so I apologise if some of this is incoherent; Nothing is edited etc. 

Also to be clear, I’m not trying to refute you or anything, this is just my take, and not a very comprehensive one as I haven’t taken my ADHD medicine yet this morning! :’) 

Having some thoughts as to why idw fans seem to be both megatron apologists and also optimus haters (using these terms lightly, of course.) I’ve seen enough people complaining about this duality in the fandom to know it’s a decently common approach of fans within idw spaces and…

Ok.. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that most people do fundamentally understand that megatron is horrible and optimus is flawed but not horrible. At least not in the same way or on the same level. I think something people can loose track of online is that people gravitate towards the most interesting things to talk about and often ditch the rest. Constantly analyzing how good optimus is, and how horrible megatron is, aren’t particularly interesting topics. Nor do they strike interesting conversation.

What makes megatron interesting is his backstory. He’s kind of written as a fall of the hero trope but skipped to the end when he’s already lost in the sauce, so to speak. And that’s far more interesting to analyze than wow warlord dictator bad.

Same goes for optimus. No one cares to talk about why the lead hero is good. Not for long, anyways. What makes optimus interesting is those angles of hey, the society he fought to protect was fundamentally flawed, and also the part of the responsibility he holds for the war. A perfect hero is never interesting, it’s the flaws we care about.

And I think the narrative nuance of these dialogues can eventually get lost, y’know? To the point where it can seem like everyone is solely focused on the good in megatron and the bad in optimus. I’m sure there are some people out there who do truly believe megatron is better than optimus and revolution and acab and all that.. there has to be at least a few. But I don’t think the majority are like that.

It’s just really fun to analyze the fractions of good intention in megatron, and the flawed honour of optimus prime. And it’s equally easy to get lost in those aspects of their character, I think.

Causing Small Static Sounds With The Radio (And Possible Hirsutism...) Part 2

[Note: Reading This Post Is Optional, also Please Don’t Reblog This Without My Permission.]  

I think that, it might be possible that I might have Hirsutism, I'm not sure if I can fully trust the doctors to give me the truth.

I mean it sucks when doctors think they know all about seizures but clearly that don't, and don't understand that not every one can be solved by that medicine stuff...only some seizures will need that type of medicine, but not those that are energy based that is caused by both people and a place.

I think it might be possible that my Mom might of had Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, but I'm not 100% sure about that...

I know that not long after she had me, she had a really bad time of the month, and she had to get help because how bad it was, and she had to have a Ovary removed...

I know it is different from when I had a bad time of the month as well, but it might not of been as close as being as bad as her own.

I was still not 100% sure if I was Intersex or not (even though I believe I might be...), and I don't know if I can trust the doctors to give me the truth about it... at least, not the ones I have seen before....but maybe some doctors will be different, like maybe to talk to them about it.....maybe...?

but I know that my "time of the month" has been Irregular, even in High School, and while it does seem I do have days when it isn't irregular, it still ends up being Irregular.

so it might be possible that it could be linked to the info that has to do with what I had read up on, which for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia... one of the signs for it, is Menstrual Irregularity and I think it does seem to match...even if I know it might be possible I could still have a bit of Hirsutism.

but I think thanks to the whole info that I read, as well as my experiencing Irregular time of the month, I think I might actually be Intersex.

I don't think I mind being Intersex, but maybe there can be a way to balance out everything. 

even if I’m not really sure about the Hirsutism now, even if I know it might be possible I could have it, but I’m now fully convinced that my suspicions about being Intersex, might actually be correct.

plus I could be wrong about the whole Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, but if my Mom did have it, maybe I was still the cause of it becoming worse after I was born.

even if she says I wasn’t the cause of it, but like if a Mom doesn’t get that shot and her RH Negative blood ends up seeing the baby as a threat, then whats to stop from the baby who is also RH Negative type, from causing harm to their Mom, even if it isn’t on purpose....like a self defense thing.

yeah speaking of that whole RH Negative type thing, I really need to find the time to finally get to checking my blood type again, I just want to triple check.

and when it comes out O RH D Negative for a third time, I guess that will be the last time I check it, maybe for a while, I don’t know.....maybe I will check it again sometime. I know my Mom is O RH Negative, but not sure if she has that “D” in her blood type, but apparently I do, and I want to triple check it.  

also, while I still want to use the Decepticon Insignia, I think I want to mix it up with having both the Nonbinary-Girl, Intersex, and Aroaceflux Flags.

oh yeah, and a Fictoromantic/Fictosexual Flags...

it still interesting that my spirit companion animal is suppose to be a Deer.

of course there is that, and there is that freaky thing that has been happening with the Modern Radio thing....it is still a bit freaky, but also kind of cool.

also while I can believe in the whole spirit animals, but I don’t think I would like it if I was told not to use the word, or that I can’t be part of it, even mine is suppose to be a Deer....and it has been confirmed that some of my Ancestors are Indigenous, and well I know I wrote it down on paper, as well as other parts of my heritage that we had confirmed, I don’t know where I had put it....

I know that some of my Ancestors came from different parts in the world, and this can be the case for some other people in this world.

would it be kind of like International heritage...?

also as for the whole spirit animal thing, it might still be possible it has been around far longer than most humans think it has, perhaps during the days before the Goddess was wrongly dethroned and possibly causing a imbalance.

also with how the patriarchy has been in the past, of course it might be possible that Jesus, could of been born a twin, and he possibly had a younger twin sister who was right next to him in the same hay type bed, like for all we know, his mother Mary, wasn’t suspecting to have twins, and the baby girl was a surprise. 

it might be possible that Jesus had a younger twin sister, even if my pendulum did give a "Yes" reply to the question,

but like I pointed out before, at times my pendulum does pull pranks...but I will believe it can be possibly true.

which would mean that Jesus didn't just have half-siblings, it might be possible that him having a younger twin sister, who would be his baby sister, could of been kept secret.

well, there is a lot of things that the patriarchy perhaps kept secret for who knows how many centuries until it was brought into the light.

not everyone has to agree about that, and I might of pointed this out before, that if some are gonna believe it, they will have to do so by their own free will and not be force to convert into it.

while Jesus is still technically family, because he is suppose to be a descendant of King David, but as for him being a Ancestor, that might not be the case.

for all we know, it could of been his possible younger twin sister, who had descendants, also I was curious about the whole thought if he had a twin sister.

but if it does turn out to be fact, you know it being kept secret and us in the dark about it, might have to do with the corrupted patriarchy back then...

I think it might be possible that the doctors who normally see me, and the ones who check my blood, are likely to know that I’m Intersex, but don’t even freaking bother to tell me, well they don’t seem to know everything about energy based seizures, while some actually do need the medicine, some just need to be kept safe from the places and people that might trigger them.

which just in case, I don’t want to go back to the towns I use to live at before, 

I want to play it safe, and if I had to go back there, even if it is just for a visit.

I should try to wear as much gems as I can to protect myself.

I’m going to make sure to maybe check once in a while about that freaky thing that has been happening with the radio, whenever I have my fingers pointed to it or holding my hand over it....still reminds me a bit of Alastor from Hazbin Hotel.

well at least it isn’t fully like his abilities, and I’m fine with that.

and I think besides myself, there has been others who were confused about if they are Intersex or not, but weren’t fully sure about it, but still suspected it might be true.

so some form of research has to be done to see if they match some of the signs of being Intersex, even if it is only half of the signs but might still confirm that ya are in fact Intersex, and you are one of the different types of Intersex.

anyway, when I can, I think I will change my Tumblr Avatar a bit, like keep it as Decepticon, but mix it with a Nonbinary-Girl, Intersex, and Aroaceflux Flags.       

will have to try to make them the right size so it will show all of them in the Avatar.  anyway thanks to confirming about the whole irregular thing, I think it does confirm that I was right to suspect that I’m Intersex, well one of the types.   

maybe the freaky thing with the radio, could have to do with my blood type...

I will think over if I should use gems to make sure it doesn’t become like where I can change the station by just wiggling my fingers, but then again maybe I don’t have to, so far it isn’t too bad and it only seems to happen once in a while.

so I don’t think I have to worry about the thing with the Radio, too much and it is just okay as it is now, and I can just check if it acts freaky once in a while.

Old Bot strikes back! How would Prime, Ratchet, Wheeljack, Smokescreen, and Raf react to Old Bot falling into recharge in the middle of a conversation (bonus points if they can tell, when Bot is actually asleep or just pretends to be to get out of the situation)?

Optimus Prime

- He had been speaking to you after a particularly roughmission. It was late at night when you had gotten back to base; the childrenwere already sent back home and the others were quick to head off to bed.Optimus wanted to ask you about something that happened on the field that henoticed, likely something about your fighting style.

- You didn’t want to talk about anything from your pasttraining, as your old aft would probably get emotional. So, you had thebrilliant idea of pretending to fall asleep.

- Your optics fluttered, half-lidded as you listened toOptimus speak. You were leaning against a wall, head tilted to the side to givemore of a “i’m tired” vibe.

- Optimus catches on, shaking his head and chuckling. Heknows you’re faking; and he wants to respect your privacy if you’re notcomfortable with talking about what went on in the mission. So, he dismissedyou; with a hand on your shoulder and a smile sent your way.

 Ratchet

- You had pulled several all-nighters already, in an attemptto help Ratchet decode some Decepticon files you had gathered from a mission acouple weeks ago.

- Of course, you’ve not informed Ratchet of this; all the information you’ve decoded has been thoroughly hidden from normal sight but will be visible when it’s needed. When it will be required, Ratchet won’t have the time or patience to actually ask who decoded it. 

- He was speaking to you about the files that have been locked, saying he might ask Rafael if he can assist; the brilliant child will probably have better luck than both of you combined. And while you do agree, you’re too tired to do so verbally; your optics fluttering as you calmly exvent. The medic didn’t seem to notice as you started to nod off.

- That is, until you nearly fall over.

- Then, he’s letting you lean your weight on him as he walks your tired aft to your berth. “You need to recharge. I don’t know what happened to make you so exhausted, and frankly I don’t want to know, but please.”

- You’re out the moment you’re on the berth. He stays there for a couple moments to make sure you’re alright, then goes back to his own room. Just by seeing you sleepy, he’s gotten sleepy too. Way to go you got grumpass to go rest for once.

Wheeljack

- He tends to get boring when he talks about the same stories he’s told you over and over again. Wheeljack isn’t afraid to say he’s trying to impress you; you’re a complete and utter badass and he’s only hoping he’ll be like you at your age. 

- He’s got an arm around your shoulders as he talks avidly, meanwhile you’re slowly nodding off. His arm doesn’t move even as you end up falling asleep against him, still talking as if you were listening. 

- ‘Jackie eventually notices you’ve passed out, after around 5 kliks of not noticing. When he does, though, he does have enough shits to carry you back to your room. He may be an asshole, but he’s an asshole with a big heart.

- “Recharge good, oldie’.” 

Smokescreen

- You fall asleep on purpose, 100%. 

- He was talking about something you, an old bot who is completely tired of his shit, do not understand/do not care about. So there you are, pretending to nod off as he goes on and on about whatever he’s so obsessed with.

- He only notices later on. Not knowing what to do, he leaves you alone, walking off to do whatever.

- Once sure he’s gone, you walk off with a smug look on your face. 

- He never finds out. You’re a terrible person.

Rafael Esquivel 

- You’re never bored by you and the humans’ conversations. They were either meaningful, intelligent, or… interesting in their own way. No matter which of the humans you were conversing with, they somehow managed to keep your attention with interesting stories from their lives or what they’re doing.

- Which is why you’re struggling with yourself to keep awake as Rafael animatedly talks to you, telling you excitedly about what he and Bumblebee had done that day.

- You had been overworking yourself to the extremes, taking up patrols and work from the others. You knew they’d have to be prepared for any upcoming battles; with the decepticons becoming more and more forceful, they could use all the rest they could get.

- But eventually, you couldn’t hold it back anymore, and slowly started to fall asleep.

- You were startled back, though, when Rafael said your name to get your attention.

- “Hey, [Name], maybe you should get some rest? I’ve never seen you more exhausted. I can wait to tell you what happened, so don’t worry.”

- You let out a tired sigh, and nod your head at the human as a thank you. “Alright. Thank you, Rafael.” Then, you turn and walk off; you could probably use the sleep anyway.

I feel this, but also, it kind of adds to how particular Crystal City is. 

Like, Drift had a pretty similar faceplate as Deadlock, arguably with a heavier brow due to the more armoured helm/plating on his Decepticon Era frame, but in Crystal City they’re all Circle of Light Spectralists with the same set of beliefs and way of life. 

I think the same-look thing might be explainable in-universe by being compared to religious attire. 

Even if you take away the frame differences etc., we see red and white as very common colours in most of the Circle of Light related characters that we ever see on panel, and we know that colours are very important to Spectralists. So what is the absence of colour, white? What do these specific colours mean in combination? 

My Take on Spectralist Visual Uniformity vs. My Experiences of Quaker Simple Clothing

I can compare this to when my Quaker group decided to do our more traditional religious clothing for the sake of making ourselves visible at a protest, in solidarity with other more visible religious groups that were also in attendance.

Historically, we wear our version of Plain or Simple Clothing, which some confuse with Mennonite and Amish communities, but some modern Quakers (usually in the USA) opt to wear plain/simple clothing nowadays, too. Men and masc people wear non-embellished modest and hard-wearing clothing in typically dark colours; It’s not just for women/femmes. 

And usually, my group of Quakers didn’t really do plain dress collectively, although it is something some may choose to do individually, and we support them 100% in doing so. 

But when we turned up to that protest in our plain clothing, it was fascinating, because immediately people could identify us as Quakers, or at least as being part of a religious society of some kind. And we identified with each other on a new level of recognition. 

A surprising number of people in my Quaker meeting group decided to carry on with variations on Plain Clothing ever since then-- Including me! I wear mostly dark colours with shades of greys and blues, no patterns other than texture, because it is easy and makes sense and allows a better focus on other things that matter more than clothing in life. (This is just our general consensus on this; I’m not shaming anyone if you have fun dressing up!) 

And I think something similar may have happened with the Circle of Light. Who knows how it may have started, but I get the feeling that everyone looking so similar in a species of people that can customise every single aspect of themselves is definitely intentional and is a stylistic choice, for whatever reasons.

Crystal City: A Community of Faith-Influenced Culture  

We know that Crystal City is somewhat of an unknown community, so it would make sense that a unique culture developed with tenants of both faith and pure general social evolution within a closed society may have resulted in in very similar looks preferred by everyone for various reasons. 

Similar appearances creates familiarity quickly on the most immediate, superficial level. Even with different optic colours etc., we see the white plating over and over again as something that helps them all look the same. 

And I think that Drift’s look after they partially rebuilt him was intentionally similar, to help him integrate better into their society. 

Additionally, keep in mind when he gets his next frame upgrade after hanging out with Ratchet on their boyfriends-only road trip: He copies a lot of design elements from Ratchet, because he wants to foster that connection, and this is one way to do it. 

You can really see the similarities in the panel above. Even his chest plating is modified to stick out more and create the same visual “V” look as Ratchet’s windshield; The shape is now the same on both of them, even though Drift has no structural frame based reason for it. His shoulders are boxier to replicate the boxy wheel wells on Ratchet’s shoulders. 

So it may be a specifically Circle of Light thing, or it could be a general Spectralist culture thing, but I definitely feel like the same-look effect is intentional. 

We know there’s talk of being “one” with Primus, or having auras that project what are considered positive, peaceful moods or energy. Perhaps part of that is the way you look; A lot of visual difference may be compared to chaos, while approaching things from a meditational Spectralist point of view, homogeny may create an atmosphere of unity and visual balance or collectivism. 

Reading the drift miniseries is so confusing bc everyone in crystal city looks the SAME. Here I am, enjoying my comic when I come across an extreme close up of this dude.
