Does anyone know what kind of doll this is? I found her in the thrift store and thought she was beautiful. I was thinking of maybe customizing her, but now that she’s in my home I think she’s far too pretty for that.

Her body is made of hard plastic and her face looks very unique which makes me think she may be an older doll, maybe even vintage? I don’t know much about dolls yet…

If anyone has any information about her origins, please let me know!

PSA, there's a really nasty Discord scam going around rn. If one of your friends DMs you, starting off with a simple "hello" "how are you", may even joke around a little, and then starts asking you to look at a game/project they're working on, don't click the link, don't download anything. If you can reach that friend through non-Discord means, reach out and let them know they got hacked.

One of my friends said the link takes them to a very convincing video game page that has in-game screenshots and stuff, and then gives you an option to download a playtest zip file or something. That download exploits a weakness Discord apparently has for password protected zip files and steals your Discord log-in and changes your account info to the scammer's account info. Two of my friends lost their accounts. Be careful.

Imagine if the GIW started gunning for Jason without the Batfam ever meeting Phantom. Like, Bruce has to figure out on his own that the guys in white suits with Lazarus guns are 1. a legitimate government agency, and 2. are perfectly within their rights to hunt Jason like an animal, because 3. there's secret government legislation that says that since Jason's body processes ectaplasm, he's classified as non-sapient and has no legal protections.

Bruce calling up Clark like

Bruce: I am currently in the process of breaking into a government facility in order to dismantle their operations.

Clark: Okay? Do you need... help?

Bruce: Yes.

Clark: Sure, I'll be right there.

So Clark Kent acts as a whistle-blower, the Justice League publicly condems the Anti-Ecto Acts as inhumane, the GIW is disbanded, and Batman gets pardoned for all of those crimes that he technically did by assaulting federal agents. And after all that gets sorted, some white haired kid pops up in the Watchtower like "haha thanks for that I really didn't want a war between Earth and the Infinite Realms" and the League are like "wait what"

Give me Nightmare who curls his tendrils on top of his subordinate’s heads like a strange pat on the back.

Give me Horror who will simply pick his teammates up and hold them like the wet cats they are.

Give me Cross who’s so unused to any physical affection he freezes up, and Killer using this to his advantage by grabbing his hand to distract him from the cow nearby or to get him to stop training for a bit.

Give me Nightmare laying a tendril over Dream’s shoulder to remind himself that his twin is there, and they aren’t fighting anymore.

Give me Dusts that will curl up on top of people like a cat.

Give me Horror Papyrus becoming the center of hug piles in Nightmare’s gang because the boys miss their brothers a lot, and he’s the closest they’ll get with the gang’s reputation.

Give me Frisks who randomly lean on people, almost falling over because Chara is a ghost and incapable of being my leaned on.

Give me Dust laying his head on Killer’s lap when Killer gets twitchy, because what’s he gonna do, move Dust?

Give me Error who’s glitching feels kinda like a massage, holding his hands to Nightmare’s back, Horror’s skull, or Geno’s wherever when they get pain.

Give me Ink who uses hand holding like a recalibration test after he goes blank.

Give me hand holding and head pats and hugs and cuddle piles.

I can't stop thinking about the relationship between Jon and Helen as perhaps one of the most important ones in the entire show. They are narrative parallels for each other, and they both know it. They've both known it from the very start!

Helen walks into the Archives, paranoid, unsure of who to trust, and Jon sees himself in her. And he thinks "If i can help her, maybe there's hope for me too." Then he can't save her. The next time they meet, she's a monster. They're both monsters. There was never any other way their stories could have gone, their fates entwined from the very start.

And Helen answers his original thought with one of her own: "Maybe if we can help each other, there's hope for us both." But Jon looks at her and sees everything that he fears becoming, and so he turns her away, and refuses to accept that their stories are still one and the same.

Helen went to the last person who was ever kind to her, the only person who both knew her as a human and had the context to understand what she'd become, and he hated her. He hated her because he liked Helen, and told her that she couldn't be Helen.

So she stopped trying to be Helen, and embraced being a monster. Reveled in it even. Then Jon wakes up from a six month coma, more monster than person, and tries so hard to cling to the things that mattered to him when he was human. Even with no support, even with the entire archives staff against him, he chooses humanity and compassion over and over again.

And this is a direct threat to Helen's world view. Their stories are entwined. If Jon can continue to be a person even after everything he's been through, then she could have clung to her humanity too, if only she'd tried a little harder. And that terrifies her! She wants to conceptualize herself as someone who was completely overwhelmed by forces beyond her control, who never had a choice but to become a monster. She want's to be an innocent victim. But Jon argues with his actions that they'd both had choices.

And, Jon, in turn, holds out hope that she might make better choices until the very end.

This is the conflict between them for all of season 4 and 5. Jon wants to prove that they can both be decent people, and Helen wants to prove that they were never going to be anything but monsters. This is why she's so devoted to trying to goad Jon into enjoying his newfound godhood. She knows that they are the same, and wants that to mean that he has a spark of evil inside of him, and not that she was always capable of doing good.

When Jon kills her, she loses her life, but wins the argument. Helen is nothing but a dangerous monster who needs to be killed for the good of everyone, and in the moment he decides that, Jon dooms himself to the same fate. Their stories are one and the same. "If i can help her, maybe there's hope for me too." he thought. But he couldn't help her, refused to, even, in the one moment when it actually mattered. And thus, there was never hope for him.

i like that kinger can glow. i liked that he glowed when going down a hallway with pomni. i like that there was no light at the end of the tunnel, so kinger became it, he became the light itself, he guided the way for pomni, comforting her when she needed it, becoming her hope. there was no hope in sight, ever, for him, for his queen, for their relationship, so he created the hope, he became it, and he continued sharing that hope forward.

maybe that’s why kinger never abstracted despite having all means of doing so. despite being pushed down again and again. despite becoming crazy. because in moments of dark, he embraces it. he embraces the darkness, he likes it, he truly thinks in the darkness. and he becomes his own light.

i like that kinger can glow. i like that he wants to glow. i like that he chooses to keep glowing.

More female Yuu shenanigans propaganda.

You know how in chapter six, Rook gives Yuu a temporary Pomefiore uniform to wear? Imagine Rook, who’s known about Yuu being a girl for a long time somehow cause he’s enigmatic like that, specifically gives her a unique female variant of the Pomefiore uniform.

While Yuu and Epel are admiring the uniform, Rook would talk about how he worked on the design by himself. He’d go waxing poetic about how he went through rough draft after rough draft , balancing the elements of the ensemble, until finally settling on a design. But, it’s not official as Rook wants Vil’s input and approval before claiming it’s the final design.

He never mentions how he got Yuu’s exact measurements though.

When the trio finally catches up with the overblot students, Vil - who hadn’t known about Yuu’s secret but was already growing fond of her - just full on blue screens upon seeing her in the female version of the Pomefiore uniform.

When Vil finally regains his bearings, he starts making comments about Rook’s design, praising certain aspects while giving constructive criticism to others. Rook takes it all in stride, agreeing with Vil on most everything and making suggestions on how they could improve it.

All the while, Vil is internally squealing about how cute Yuu looks in the uniform. He can’t help but take a lot of pride in how good she looks in Pomefiore’s elegant purples.

Meanwhile, the other overblot students - who already knew about Yuu’s secret for a while now - are frustrated that they didn’t think to come up with a female variant of their dorm’s uniform first! They’re the ones who interrupt Vil and Rook’s brainstorming session by mentioning how they’re kind of in the middle of a situation and don’t have time to talk about this sort of thing.

After Idia’s overblot and return to NRC, when everything is said and done and things are calming down, the overblot students(who are all either Housewardens or Vice Housewardens) IMMEDIATELY get to designing a female version of their dorm uniform for Yuu to wear.

It’s basically a competition between them.
