- Forced to ‘fight’ in the arena after presumed Infertility (he’s not, just stress, lack of nutrition, etc). His first fight was never supposed to go anywhere, & wasn’t meant to be an actual fight, but he ended up being very good at fighting & very brutal, despite his size. From then they kind of just kept throwing him into the arena.

So I figure a number of you nerds among my followers probably play ttrpgs right?

I had a "this opinion is not universal" experience in a session recently, and now I curious how this works at y'all's tables. RPG-Etiquette poll! Aside from little things like going to the bathroom and getting a new drink, how do you look at a player leaving the the table (or, in a digital game, removing their headphones/leaving the computer) for the duration of a scene they're not in? Say the party has split, half the party is IC-present for the scene, but the scene isn't actively secret.

*A player who is tired, stressed, overstimulated or otherwise really need a break may sit out the scene, but it isn't optimal.

No option for seeing results, check in again next week!

I'm curious, since the options I heard showed really different viewpoints.

I talk about him sometimes (I try to tone it down but I fail lol) but I really am obsessed with him. We waited so long because we wanted our own place first, and since we moved in may, huzzah! Engaged! I won't ramble too much but I am very excited to marry this soft viking whos obsessed with Christmas and boats, whos crocheting his own granny square biker jacket, who hangs strings of bones around the house, who lets me ramble on about warhammer fanfic writing and despite his protests gets excited to suggest "oh but wouldn't it be awful if they betrayed them?" Because he's nothing if not a lover of good drama and gossip lmao 💖

and as insane about him as I am, he is OBSESSED with me. In 10 years I have never once questioned his feelings for me. Any ego or self image issues I may have once had are replaced by a decade of him acting like he just walked into the lourve when I am just standing there in sweats and a tshirt or something. I'd say he's like a "wife guy" except it never feels like he's trying to prove something lol, he just wears his heart on his sleeve.

ANYWAY I'm gonna stop before I give a whole ass ted talk on this man. Life update: engaged!!! I love my Fiancé!!! I'm gonna try to get married on a schooner hahaha
