Theory about BJBJBJ
When it comes to the prospect of BJBJBJ, I've seen fans mention five things:
Lydia should realize her feelings for Beetlejuice.
Lydia and Beetlejuice should become a kick-ass team against something big.
More Delores, she was under utilized. (Even if that means some Delores/Rory.)
The third wedding has to be different than the previous two.
Beetlejuice can't be enthusiastic about the prospect of marriage this time.
Which all make sense. Rule of three, more bad ass character developments, fool me three times, etc.
But what if you combined them?
Here's what I'm thinking:
At some point, some how, Lydia confesses that she's had a devastating crush on Beetlejuice this entire time and has been too terrified to mention it. Either because she didn't want to disappoint the Maitlands, or Chuck and Delia, or just basic self preservation and the hopes that he'd go away. But something has happened recently and now she's got to admit it to someone. And how much it has screwed up her mental health for not admitting it and facing it.
The someone she talks to (Astrid? Delia? Jane?) mentions that she needs to talk to Beetlejuice about this in order to get on with her life.
Lydia agrees. Then she doesn't.
Delores shows up and now she has a way to drastically hurt/kill Beetlejuice. (Possibly with Rory's help.) Her first attempt to do so is unsuccessful, but it shows that the Ghost With The Most is on a ticking clock, unless someone comes up with a solution. He mentions this to Lydia and asks for her help.
She says, sure, let's get married.
He says it's not going to work this time.
Whatever Delores did, it closed a part of the original marriage loophole for Beetlejuice. Sure, there are other ways for breathers to bring the deceased back to the world of the living via marriage. But those require both the living party and the dead one to be desperately in love with each other, and BJ admits that Lydia's lukewarm feelings means he doesn't qualify for that.
Lydia, like a liar, agrees.
So they agree to team up together to save Beetlejuice's life. Lots of shenanigans in the world of the living while Beetlejuice hides in the world of the dead to ensure Keaton's No More Than 17 minutes rule.
Eventually the plot corners them into a situation where the only option is to get married. Lydia is in a black dress (important!), Astrid and possibly Delia are with them, and all is lost. But there is some sort of church or justice of the peace nearby and, with everyone but Beetlejuice aware of Lydia's feelings, they go for a Hail Mary play.
Beetlejuice fights them the entire time. The bylaws of the underworld state that it would kill Lydia, him, or both of them to attempt a loveless marriage right now. But he knows they're running out of options, perma-death is inevitable for all of them, and the romantic in him would like to die marrying the woman he loves.
So Lydia more or less drags a "We can't! Not that I don't I want to. We'll die! Ooo, nice wedding rings, babes. Nooooo!" Beetlejuice to the altar.
Bonus points if Lydia says something like "C'mon, c'mon..." or "Let's keep it rolling, rev!" during the ceremony to mirror what Beetlejuice said during the first movie.
The terrified officiant reluctantly, barely, marries them.
They kiss to seal the union. Something otherworldly, lovely, romantic happens during the kiss, proving it worked.
Then Beetlejuice and Lydia suddenly and dramatically get dragged back into the world of the dead.
Lydia's black dress turns red the second she's in the underworld.
And anything she wears immediately turns red every time she re-enters the underworld moving forward.
Why?
It mirrors the poncho dress Lydia wore in the cartoon when she visited the underworld.
It implies that BJ thought that he could engineer true love by finding someone who was a good match on paper, dressing them like someone who loved him, and hoping for the best. (Which is why alllll of his past weddings failed.)
It implies that the most important part about loving and building a life with someone is giving them the option to choose you then letting them make that choice of their own free will. And that true love doesn't happen unless you do that.
It gives the audience a new red wedding dress without there being another red wedding.
When she's in the world of the dead, Lydia is better off wed.
Wolf or another dead denizen explains that their marriage has given them the extra juice they needed to take on Delores in a Boss Fight. It also allows the two of them to travel freely between the world of the living and the dead without repercussions. (With a few extra bells and whistles so we can get a bunch of cool action sequences with practical effects.)
As they're given their marching orders for the movie's climax, BJ is just... stunned.
"Wait. You actually like me? How long have you liked me?"
BJ eventually focuses on the task at hand, but as they fight for their lives, every so often Lydia looks over and sees him grinning like an idiot and doing this:
#beetlejuice#beetlejuice beetlejuice#betelgeuse#fan theories#beetlejuice meta#beetlejuice beetlejuice beetlejuice#I wouldn't say this is#beetlebabes#per say#but it's not not that

“I don't know why this is a good thing or a bad thing? Do they want him to have lipstick marks or not? Is it connected to his stunts, so they're happy he hasn't got lipstick marks when he's in a relationship? Idk. I don't see how these things are related at all. Is a kiss on the cheek cheating to them?”
It’s The B*x anon again just to clarify my previous question a bit. First of all I wrote comments were on h*rryfl*rals as it’s the main (het) harrie update account and so I understood it like this - they were saying that that night club is like some kind of a sin club where orgies are also happening or something similar. And you know, for them H’s s*x addict and since this club is where you go to have some “adult” fun it all just fits into the narrative they’ve been pushing about H since the very beginning. And because het harries believes in his womanizer image it fits the narrative that he went there, made out with multiple women (=multiple lipstick marks), did some c*c*ine and totally wasted got papped leaving. And so when he was leaving last time without any lipsticks marks it meant for those harries that he hadn’t been making out with any woman. Both times he was stunt free, so it doesn’t connect to any stunt and just as made-up hookup rumours were on a daily basis because again womanizer image so harries believe that he must’ve madeout with women in that club because we all know he can’t hold himself back (irony).
So that’s why I was asking what was the larries reaction to those lipstick marks because harries went straight to him making out with women. And attending that clubs means H’s the very bad bad boy who go to these night clubs.
Thanks for the additional info!
Christ, that's quite a leap? A lipstick mark on the cheek and he's doing co*e, dangling from the chandelier and humping scantily clad women? Good for them i guess if that kind of stuff turns them on? It's got no basis in reality though.
Btw. This reminded me of dentist!larrie and their excellent teeth analysis:
By het harrie logic this obviously means Louis is a vampire who thirsts for Harry's blood. Going for that jugular.

IkeVil Act 2 Prologue Thoughts & Theories
This will contain spoilers, and some 18+ remarks at the end, so MDNI. Please see under the cut. As usual, these are just my thoughts and feelings. This is a word salad. And not that this is important or anything, but I was totally listening to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake while writing this.
My first thought is: That's it?! With the Act 1 prologue being as long as it is, and even with other IkeSeries games like Pri, I felt it was too short. I was expecting and wanting more. Perhaps, Cybird will release more later, but I doubt it. Seems that they are keeping Vogel underwraps as much as they can. Less is more, maybe that's what they were thinking?
Next: The spotlight is on Vogel (as it should be), since they're apparently debuting with Roger's route. We're excited to meet them, still I didn't like that other than Victor and Harry (with his two lines of actual dialogue), no other Crown members had any lines. Their sprites just pop up (sans William because he's away per Victor), to show that they were present. Where is that amazing stare-off that went down in Roger's PV?
Tell me this wasn't it! Hopefully, we get more of their first meeting within the first chapter of each of their main stories. Which leads me to......
When Act 2 Takes Place: It takes place a week after Kate's tenure of being the Fairytale Keeper begins, and honestly, I LOVE that. We need a change of pace. Now, don’t get me twisted, there's nothing wrong with seeing her start her journey from the very beginning, but consider:
Act 2 is supposed to delve deeper into the topic of the Curse itself from what I understand. If that's the case, we need to move things along. It would make storytelling easier (I feel), if Kate has already spent a week with the villains and isn't completely ignorant about curses.
Also, we're moving further along in the routes, which tend to become progressively darker with each route passing (my opinion), not starting from the day after she arrives at the Castle will allow the writers to delve deeper into things, and give us more chapters for - hopefully - more lore.
I mean when Roger's route finally releases, I'd expect maybe some flashbacks in chapter one of the night after Kate bumps into them on their mission, and then she agrees to be his assistant. I don't personally want an entire chapter or three of that, and I would love to see Kate already with a week's worth of experience of working with Jude & Ellis (when Jude's route releases). I want her to be someone who is already capable, not stumbling around with (How do I prove myself?), we already know how she needs to do this, as she's demonstrated in their events. Let's skip that and get to the good stuff. Now about the new meat on the market.....
Darius: Well, we all know that we can't trust him, and he's super interested in William for some reason. I'd love to see that meeting happen. His disappointed face made me chuckle when he was told that William was away, and you can clearly tell that he isn't a fan of Victor. WHY?? Is it the scones? Is it because Victor keeps his precious Cursed babies safe from those who may try to destroy his family? Can't wait for the explanation, because as Victor has said in the past, he doesn't want his time with Crown to end, and Darius seems like the one who is going to end it. I know Darius hasn't done anything yet, but I feel like I need to say this: Don't be mean to Vivi!
He seems to be focused on recruiting other cursed members into his "family", and his vision of the cursed and non-cursed joing hands together and work alongside each other (so he says).
He seems to be the big-bad (Gilbert tragic backstory vibes from this one?), I could be wrong, but that's what my gut tells me. I mean they all have one, but I feel like his is going to be twisted. A type that I am weak for.....so I am trying not to look at him at all.
Anyways....He's certainly angelic looking, and because he's wearing such an obviously painted smile, I would like to see him irked (not that I hate his character or anything), I just think it'd be funny as hell to see a blood vessel pop up on his forehead.
Nica: Right, Nica is gorgeous and he is the one I look forward to the most out of the three. His sprite has teeth when it's a full smile (congrats, my man), and a part from him making a comment that he's happy that Kate is present because he doesn't want to be stuck with a bunch of guys, he's very sharp.
He discerned by himself the real reason why she was at the castle. Also, he seems to love money and power....my other weaknesses are men who enjoy those things (stares at Jude & Silvio).....he doesn't seem to have a tyrant attitude, but I look forward to learning more about him.
Also, I have a theory I believe he may be involved with Roger's betrayal of Ellis' cursed predecessor. In Roger's main route preview:
Roger: Oh, me and…..this person……We aren’t friends. This person and I are strangers.
Mysterious Youth: ….Thank you. - “That’s enough”. (screen shakes)
Now, this could be Ring, but I think it's Nica also because of the relationship chart. I re-read the relationship chart. .
So, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out and how off I am. On to our darling......
Ring: Beloved, sweet, cold, blunt and Disney Princess Ring. He is the next villain I look forward to the most. I mean, a shared cursed ability with your twin? Moody emo vibes? Adorably quiet and strong? Please, I love him and want to cuddle him. Not to mention that skin-tight, black turtle neck....yummy. A part from this, Ring doesn't seem to like making speculations based on limited information, and I appreciate that about him. I think it's also notable that is very upfront with everyone at Crown, that if they try to harm Vogel, he won't sit quietly. Love a man of action. My question is: Why is he Darius' puppet, but not Nica? Ok, last but not least......
Sprite Designs: As usual, Nana-sensei has incorporated symbolism of their fairytale group into their clothing with lots of sharp edges. Personally, I love her art style over all, I think it's beautiful. Of note, Darius has a feather as his belt buckle and I quite like that. His brooch on his neck is the recognizable symbol of Vogel (seems like a swan's head with feathers to me), and the brooch on his floofy coat looks like the face of a swan staring at me. *Ahem* And I think his little neck window could be bigger....just saying.
Nica & Ring both have identical tassels, although they are different colors. One of their tassels likewise feature the symbol of Vogel, but the other looks like cross-hatch marks(?) Feathers(?). They apparently share the same curse, perhaps it represents their shared cursed since they are connected as twins??
They also share swan-faced holster clasps. The one on Nica holds his gun holster, and Ring's holds a book holster (?).....it looks like a book holster. Is it a book about flowers? I mean, it could be a snack pouch, but really it looks like a book holster to me. Just saying.....
Last, but not least, Nica's rings. My first thought: That's hot as hell. Next thought: Shit it's going to hurt like hell when he fingers Kate. This entire time I've been worried over William's and Jude's long ass fingernails cutting Kate up when they enter her, but this this amount of rings (assuming he doesn't remove them), that's going to scrape her so much inside. They're like a toture device.....wait.....maybe he's a sadist too? Oohh, yay if he is! Either way, he is a fan a jewelry.
Well, that's it. There's a ton more that I could write about, but I'm sleepy and I'm rambling.

Ah, he never changes..Vanitymoth is back with another shitty review and this video proves he truly doesn't understand or gets Murder Drones as a whole, say whatever you want about the finale as I've had a few issues about the finale myself and think it could've been a bit better but it was at least satisfying and entertaining. I'm not even surprised by this (in the slightest) since as I've said in my post about Vanitymoth, he's almost never positive about whatever he reviews, he barely has ANYTHING positive and praise to give when it comes to the pieces of media he reviews even though there are things you can praise but Vanity choices not to, it just feels like he has very high standards and if they don't meet up to his expectations then he just sees them as bad overall and sees his opinions as definite facts everyone should take to heart and listen to, this dude is just insufferable both to listen to and watch.
He also hearted this comment here...As someone who's in both communities I personally don't think the MD community is as awful and terrible as the Helluvaverse community can be, tbh. Yes, the MD fanbase has shown to be terrible and awful but that's all fandoms, all fandoms are toxic and terrible no matter how big and small, and just for the record the MD fanbase has been called out before by many people. And one more thing, although all fandoms are toxic, there's also good aspects to them as well too. There are good aspects to the Murder Drones fandoms as I've met and see many incredible people in there, despite its bad aspects in the fanbase it's still a fine enough fanbase with some bad and good apples but again, no fandom is perfect and you'll always have good and apples no matter what fandoms you're apart of.
But I'm overall tired of Vanitymoth and can't stand him for the life of me, he's very unbearable as a cartoon reviewer and just doesn't understand MD, this comment says a lot honestly and I personally don't think he's truly ever cared about the show because he gets so much wrong about this series and these characters and overall gets them wrong and mischaracterizes them to make them look worse as a result and to fit his own narrative and shitty theories.
Listen, if y'all want someone, a YouTuber who ACTUALLY understands and gets Murder Drones, actually understands the characters and gets everything right about the show and the theme of it itself, if y'all wanna watch a reviewer who gets MD, please go watch Sarcastic Chorus. Although I don't always agree with his opinions, he's always valid and positive with his opinions even when seeing the flaws in whatever he reviews, he's a great and much better YouTuber than Vanity. And just like @wayward-delver said when it comes to Sarcastic Chorus, SC genuinely understands how the show was meant to be understood and watched, he sees the hard work, love and dedication that went into the show and he's also able to point out flaws without being a dick and shooting down the fans of the show.

2. Protest: between the author's cynicism and the antagonist's emergence
Fujimoto once again tests you as a reader
Why? Because this chapter requires you to pay as much attention to the foreground as to the background
Yes, hello headache, but now I need you to follow me…….
First of all, I see it as cynicism. The only thing that would make me laugh is if I thought Fujimoto was teasing us.
How and why? Because the church in Chainsaw Man is us. Victims of CSM (who belong to the work), and young people, students who don't always have the right to vote, who come out of curiosity (the fans) fighting bloody battles against the communities.
Come on, Fujimoto follows the networks
Like his OS, but especially Just listen to the song, it's about the relationship between a work, its author and its audience.
I think Fujimoto relishes the debates and arguments on Twitter and other networks.
Fujimoto follows them as much as he suffers them, acclaimed by critics and his own, adored by his fans, he is also the target of threats and hatred.
Whether it's from those who hate his work or those who adore it but can't forgive him for making them suffer.
Fujimoto is as much a figure of protest as Chainsaw Man.
And he's there in the shadows like Denji
But it's not just a wink, and then we get more serious
The protest in the background is just as important as the foreground
Denji and Yoshida are shown as much as the crowd, with the cut-out swapping places between background and foreground. As if Fujimoto were placing them in the same position of importance.
Why ?
First of all, this chapter proves that NO, Yoshida is not up to the task of being the antagonist
who could be the antagonist then?
Where ? Who ? We're a bit confused... well yeah, it was easy to understand that Makima was the antagonist
Not only do we kind of forget that it wasn't that easy to know she was the antagonist, the revelation that she was a demon came very, very late, as did what she was really capable of doing
In CSM the real antagonist is present from the start, and then appears more clearly
Fujimoto likes to use this process to make his work chilling, to encourage you to reread while seeing the chapters take shape under a different light.
SO WHO'S THE ANTAGONIST?
Chainsaw man himself or, (confirming my theory again), Fake! ChainsawMan
To put it simply, since part 2, Fujimoto has shown that Chainsaw Man is controversial, both adored and feared.
This fear would naturally give rise to a Fake!Chainsaw Man demon, whose aim would be to increase its power by maximizing people's fear of Chainsaw Man.
Now let's take a step back. Nostradamus' prophecy is about to come true. Fami's goal is to prevent this apocalypse (for pizza). But this prophecy, as Yoshida knew about it and got in touch with Fami, shows that public safety is aware of the danger.
So why do we want Chainsaw Man to disappear? Would Public Security abandon humanity? Hardly imaginable.
I've given it some thought, and here's the plan as I imagine it.
An alliance has been formed between Fami and Public Security, to take control of Chainsaw Man. Not an absolute alliance, I imagine, but the two groups have common interests.
Both groups need a champion to face this apocalypse.
The fact is, Chainsaw Man is getting weaker.
Turning a demon into a hero who is close to humans means that part of the population no longer fears him, so his power falls proportionally.
Chainsaw Man can't face the apocalypse now.
The solution is to separate Chainsaw and Man. Literally.
When Yoshida invites Denji to live quietly, it's so that he can literally retire.
To make way for whom? Bingo. Fake!CSM
So why do they want CSM to disappear? Why so much emphasis on Haruka and the worship of Chainsaw Man's church?
Nothing creates greater fear than giving people a hero and then suddenly taking him away. We're back to another of CSM's key themes: necessary evil.
If, overnight, CSM no longer appeared to fight the demons, then the world would be in disarray. And fear would increase... giving power to the secretly chosen champion.
A champion... who only appears before dawn. At the very last moment.
The existence of Chainsaw Man leads to clashes, increased tensions and dissent.
His disappearance, meanwhile, will lead to a consensus: the despair of a humanity with no so-called protection.
Nostradamus' prophecy is not simply a prophecy announcing the apocalypse, but a plan that has been in front of us all along.
To be saved, humanity must descend into chaos.
If you want to better understand my theory about Fake!CSM :

I feel like I've said this before but I want to make a full post about it. You're not supposed to hate any fnaf characters except from William. (Very long rant under the cut).
William is quite literally the face of evil in this universe, you're not supposed to like him or feel bad for him because he continuously does terrible things and he feels no guilt from doing them. Practically every other character has suffered his abuse in one way or another, sure he's had moments where he's been depressed, he had to deal with the death of his children, but he doesn't deserve your pity or sympathy. You can like him because he's a well-written character or villain, but I genuinely don't understand people who actually like the guy. I fucking hate him and I would like to sentence him to a thousand hells.
Now allow me to go over the other fnaf characters I see getting hated on that absolutely don't deserve it whatsoever.
Michael. Believe it or not there are some people who don't like him. He is continuously abused, neglected and manipulated by William. He's a victim, just like every other character I will list here. Just because he did something stupid and awful doesn't make him any less of a victim. I honestly don't think the bite would have happened at all if William had just paid closer attention to his children, I'm not entirely taking the blame off of Michael but it's something to consider. He likely did it for attention and it's very obvious he had no idea what would actually happen. After that he mainly only does good things to make up for this. He goes to find Elizabeth despite knowing there's very little chance of her being there, he tries to burn William in the fazbear frights fire to stop him from harming anyone else and he works with Henry to free the remaining souls in the pizzeria sim fire. It might just be me bc I'm a massive Michael fan but the hate is undeserved.
Elizabeth. Holy shit this one actually pisses me off so much!! There's way more Elizabeth haters than there are Michael haters (this probably partly has to do with her being a girl) and I don't understand it all. I actually don't believe she is Williams favourite at all, she is the only one who is canonically shown being abused by him and people somehow take this as her being the favourite?? I also don't believe William made Baby for her, he just said he did so nobody would find out the real reason he made the funtimes. She's not a spoiled brat, Scrap Baby practically proves this. Why would she be so desperate to make her father proud of her if he didn't constantly neglect her and make her feel like she's not enough? Also, she's a child. I don't really have time to explain the Baby and Elizabeth are separate theory so I'm only gonna count her actions as Scrap Baby here. She obviously had intent to kill Michael in pizzeria sim, which isn't a good thing but keep in mind she's been trapped in this metal body for so long she's hardly herself anymore. My point is the hate is undeserved and I love this complex gal so much. Stfu if you hate Elizabeth Afton.
Cassidy. This one makes a little bit more sense to me but I still ultimately hate this take. I've heard people say that they're just as bad as William which is pretty fucking hilarious actually. Tbh if I got murdered and stuck in a robot suit forever I'd be on that hate game as well. Once again, victim. They were literally murdered by that man. I honestly don't think that they thought Michael was William, afterall they hate him so much that they'd probably remember his face very clearly. I like the idea that Evan was just like "Oh shit that's my older brother, he killed me. Don't try to kill him though because it was an accident.' and they were like 'Ok.' and then tried to kill him anyway because they can't imagine not wanting to get revenge on your killer. William deserved everything that they made him go through in ultimate custom night, though I agree with "Leave the demon to his demons" and I'm glad they decided to let all the souls rest. Overall, undeserving of hate, that's a traumatised child. Same goes for all the other missing children.
Those were all I could think of for know but let me know any other characters you see get a lot of hate. I hope this brought some sense to any Michael, Elizabeth or Cassidy haters out there. Feel free to reblog with your own opinions, even if you disagree I'd like to hear your takes.

What did you think of Annette from Castlevania: Nocturne? Personally, her altered background did nothing but add even more filler nonsense on what is already a cramped season. And even then, her character arc took up more attention than Richter's, which is quite appalling since her arc had nothing to do with the main storyline (all it did was drag the show even more).
Not to mention, she spent most of the season hating on Richter for no reason, calling him a "child" and "useless as fuck" on certain occasions. I also can't forgive her for chastising Richter as a coward when he ran away at the sight of his mother's killer, when she literally blew their plan at the Chateau and indirectly killed Edouard when she saw Vaublanc, her mother's killer. And even then, no one blamed her for that, which makes it even worse since she constantly makes everything about her and her tragic past as a slave.
So the sudden hint at their romance was both cheap and forced as their chemistry is non-existent throughout the story. I still remember how Steve Stark, a background designer for both Netflixvania shows, fighting against the fans for this decisions, claiming:
"Go complain about something that matters."
Which by itself is a self-own. If it didn't matter like you claimed, why go through such lengths to change her entire character. Surely it must matter to you.
N!Annette should've been an original character while the original Annette is left well enough alone (to which I'm trying to do in the rewrite). And to dunk on the people who would say that game Annette had no personality and is pointless, need I remind you that Rosaly from Curse of Darkness never appeared in the game at all yet the writers behind the manga dedicated their time to flesh her out in the manga itself. So it's not the characters that are the problem, it's the writers.
Sorry about that whole rant. Caught myself blabbering there.
She is not a character. She is discourse bait, and as such, I don't engage with her or the discourse surrounding her seriously.
You pretty much said everything. Annette is insufferable because in theory her flaws make sense. She's brash, angry, has little patience for anyone, wants to do things her own way, maybe even looks down on "privileged" people out of mistrust and bitterness: all behaviors that I can see stemming from the background of a runaway slave. Her breakdown indirectly causing Edouard's death? We have a decent conflict here! (ignoring the fact that Edouard is also not a character so I don't really feel anything for him.) But then she becomes utterly infuriating when the asshole dares to make fun of Richter for his lack of magic, when he all but told her that he lost his powers due to his mother's death - or at the very least, he told her that his dead mother could do magic and maybe that would be a sore spot for him! And the worst part is, Maria and Tera are standing there with no reaction! Tera, you useless idiot, this stranger that already proved herself unreliable is pushing your adopted son's trauma button! Do something!
Same when Ricther runs away, she is all too happy to insult him, call him "useless as fuck", and you think that Cecile would knock some sense into her and be like "hey girl you also ran away from the man who hurt you and killed your mother, maybe don't be so quick to judge", but noooooooo we need to talk about how Annette's character is literally "ex-slave" (hey she says it, not me), culminating in her saying "as if those french people could ever understand us!" woman what is you doing could we please talk about Annette now and stop coddling her????????
And you can look around and think, oh, maybe they're right. Evil, violence, and oppression everywhere. Even these French with their high ideals. What do they know about what we've suffered? And what do they care? They'll build their new world, but it won't be freedom or equality or brotherhood for us.
You were drawing a parallel and trying to teach her empathy for someone that, before being a white European, is a victim of vampires and evil just like her, and you end up telling her that no one else will have empathy for her??????????
And remember: Richter likes this asshole so much that the memory of her is what unlocks his magic! Not his mother. Not his grandfather. This stranger who has been cordial at best, and antagonistic at worst. what's with these shows and having the most godawful romance stories this side of twilight
So the sudden hint at their romance was both cheap and forced as their chemistry is non-existent throughout the story.
Annette suffers from a similar problem as Sypha and Isaac: they're stuck in the role their videogame counterparts have, even when it makes no sense. Sypha bullies Trevor as much as Alucard does, and in fact she seems to like the latter more (when Alucard is a cock to Trevor and he understandably lashes out back, Sypha tells him to grow up, the absolute fuck), but oh wait, she needs to fuck Trevor as per canon! So she travels with him and they're suddenly all cutey and lovey. Isaac is forced to resent Hector for his "betrayal" of Dracula, when if you watch the season, Isaac should only blame himself for being an utter negligent dumbass in regards to Carmilla, who was the real mastermind and he knew it. Annette is nothing but scornful towards Richter, but we need to push them together because hey Annette was meant to be the love interest, and the writing is even worse here because at least Trepha takes two seasons to become canon, but here we go from "stupid Belmont, useless as fuck" to them blushing together in the span of, like, seven episodes?
If it didn't matter like you claimed, why go through such lengths to change her entire character. Surely it must matter to you.
And this is what I mean with "discourse bait". Nothing about Annette is genuine. She is a stereotypical, safe, flat character, she's both the "tough girlboss who is mean to nearly everyone but we swear she's kind inside!" and the "tough black woman with a slave past, tragic enough to make her badass but without more questionable parts like her for example betraying fellow slaves to save her own skin" (so that you get called sexist and racist if you don't like how much of an ass she is! How convenient. Even though I'd argue is much more racist that she freed herself with god powers rather than her own human ingenuity...); and on top of that she's derivative from a game character, a fairly minor one too, so that if you don't like that she has "replaced" the original you can be told that you are, once again, racist, and anyway the original Annette was bad anyway so why would you care, you stupid purist? They did the same with Isaac, before he became the Gary Stu of the story.
And this is why the genuine racists who don't have a better argument against her than "muh wokeflix, how dare they have black people in my fantasy series" piss me off. You are poisoning the well. Stop it. Get better arguments.
You can make the same argument with nearly every character in both shows. The hints of personality are there, they only need to be fleshed out! Rosaly was fleshed out into being more than a "kind girl": she became too kind, and stubborn and naive and suffering from loneliness, and that made her interesting while still keeping true to her general archetype and role! They could have deduced from the games that Trevor is a charismatic, friendly individual with a hotheaded streak, instead of turning him into the most cliché cynical drunkard! They could have deduced from the games that Annette, despite her role as damsel in distress, has a lot of courage, from the scene where she nearly kills herself out of spite for Dracula, instead of a generic badass with godlike powers! But no character is kept faithful, there was no respect or care for anything, nothing but inflated superiority that they can do better (with fans sadly agreeing), everyone is just a bunch of OCs masquerading as canon characters for the sake of being clapped for "fixing" the stupid writing of the games, even when said characters were already fleshed out enough like Alucard or the Devil Forgemasters so they really had no "muh 8-bit game" excuse (and if they couldn't keep Isaac's flamboyant personality then they're just homophobic cowards)
tl;dr i don't like annette and i can only hope that alucard hijacks the story so much that she'll have minimal screentime. i mean he's hardly better, but at least i can call him a cunt without risk of getting doxxed or shit
#anti netflixvania#go on. call me racist now :)#admittedly i haven't rewatched nocturne since it came out because man was it the most boring thing#so i didn't 'study' ann//ette that much#i just can't understand the people who think *rich//ter* is a dick but ann//ette is the best character#i mean sure rich//ter is an ass to ju//ste because we just need to bully every belmont#but even that's nothing compared to ann//ette's pointed scorn

sending this ask because i want for all the tkkrs who lurk here to see me debunk all their previous and new narratives;
1) "taekook was real" no it wasn't. yall pretended that they were real for years and got slammed thrice, first when tae replied "you'd better get out of the imagination, it's not good in there" to a taekooker on weverse telling him to look at jk's photos whom he loves before going to sleep.
then it was in ITS1 when taekook admitted to having drifted apart when yall spent years making up excuses for why they aren't behaving like you wanted them to, saying that the company is forcing them to hide.
then yall spent every waking moment of 2023 repeatedly using the "taekook are finally free in this solo era and they're coming out to let everyone know that they're together. the company doesn't control them anymore." narrative. then BOOM, taennie got caught.
2) "taehyung is being punished for being loud about him and jungkook so he was forced to get into a fake PR fan service relationship"
a) nothing about taennie is fan service. their fans hate each other and blinks hate taehyung, armys hate jennie. which fans are they servicing?
b) this taennie thing has been going around since late 2021 when tae accidentally followed her on Instagram. it's not a recent thing that hybe chose as a coverup for TK.
c) i thought tkkrs took pride in taehyung never bowing to the company? i thought only jk was the helpless puppet forced into a fake relationship with jimin? i thought that's why hybe were easily able to make jk delete his IG account but couldn't force taehyung? now tae is a puppet too?
d) accusing tae of doing fan service? the same insulting crap you attached to jimin all these years? tkkrs are now tae antis as well?
3) "it's the lookalike" no it's not. he's in Seoul amidst of this controversy. and it was never him at all. other than the fact that he denied being the one in the pictures, and him having a girlfriend, all those pictures that were leaked last year that yall spent hours insulting every part of tae's body in vain effort to prove it isn't him backfired badly for you today. i saw tkkrs calling tae in today's pictures "musty, white, ugly, with a moustache, flat assed" and a whole bunch of other bullshit just for clear pictures to come out later proving it was indeed taehyung.
4) "it still doesn't prove that jikook is real" no one said that. we're here to talk about how yall spent years moving like a cult, twisting reality at every turn of events that didn't fit you little bubble, and dragged jimin for YEARSSS accusing him of all kind of shit but most importantly is how yall accused him of oppressing your precious taekook, yall accused him of trying to steal jungkook from taehyung when jk was never tae's in the first place. yall accused jimin of being a bad friend to tae for being all over his man when tae was dating a woman this whole time. THIS is why jikookers/pjms are gloating rn. because we've been waiting for jimin to be freed of your narratives for years. we've tried talking it out with you using logic MANY times, that your ship isn't real and taekook are just close friends, that you shouldn't drag an innocent man in the sake of theory that could very well turn out false at any day. but yall didn't listen, yall left no place for doubt in your minds and were so adamant that taekook is real and didn't matter to you what horrible shit you said about jimin, even jk in the process. yall accused jk of being a cheater, accused him of being toxic and riling tae up on purpose to make him jealous, accused of enjoying fan service with jimin too much, got mad at him for never doing things for tae that he did for jimin, etc. all of this shit can't and won't be erased in one day. now you have jjks, pjms, and jikookers all celebrating and they will make your lives HELL like you made ours and our idols’.
i'm just gonna end this with saying that this was a long time coming, and taekook were never going to scare me even if tae and jk kept their private lives private forever. even if taennie was never confirmed, taekook would still be as much as a lie as they've always been. no amount of theories, lies, manipulation, and gaslighting would've made that ship sail. and anyone with a half brain could see from a mile away that taekook are just great friends, nothing more. except for taekookers, yall st yourselves up long ago when you started shipping them based on aesthetic, potential and popularity, and now you're been bitch slapped by reality and your bubble finally burst. i can't say i told you so but I told you so.
They can’t get it and they can’t see it, because delusion is a mental disorder defined as:
false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everybody else believes and despite what constitued incontrovertible and obvious proof for evidence to the contrary.

I must say I'm kinda baffled by the way some people are reacting towards Tommy and Buck's scene. Like we may have bi Buck on the horizon so I think we all should be happy about it, I know we are all protective of our ship but this is a good thing because there has to be a catalyst, something that will make a change in Eddie and Buck relationship and this is it. Buck's bi realization is a must if buddie it's going to happen because if buddie does end being together it can't be sudden, it has to be built on. So I'm having a blast with Tommy's character 🤷 he's a funny guy.
Also I may know nothing about cinematography but that little scene there with Tommy, Buck and Eddie seemed important for a reason.
Btw I was wondering about this interview https://youtu.be/vlCRTTAfeYs?si=oiVXhkBu7WQ9hV_1
Because sometimes I still struggle with the real meaning behind some sentences or words in English, when Oliver said:
"You can’t have the audience interpretation in mind too much when you make the show. You have to make it and put it out in the world and people can take what they want."
Can this be interpreted as they wouldn't care if some viewers may have an homophobic reaction towards Eddie and Buck getting together or I'm reading things differently?
I understand people being sensitive to "another barrier" towards buddie but like...yeah, it's getting a little out of hand. It's fine to feel your feelings, but keep them in your group chat's or to your like-minded friends. Please don't make them other people's problems.
I am also having a blast with Tommy! I wasn't sure how they were going to take his character with the reintroduction given how he wasn't the most well-liked character in the Begins episodes. Again, if POC fans never want to forgive him or like him, that's totally fine. I won't ever get on people's cases for disliking him for his past actions. But I do think he'll prove to be interesting if he plays a role for Buck (and Buddie by extension).
I'll give you my personal interpretation (which could be up for debate) of what Oliver said in that interview. To me, he's saying, that he can't always be policing himself when he's acting by wondering "is the audience going to think I'm making this scene too gay?", "will they get mad at me and accuse me of queerbaiting if I act in certain ways with Ryan/Eddie in this scene?", etc. I think that Oliver is very aware of how he and his actions are perceived by the fandom. He's always been the one who has dealt with the brunt of people screaming "BUDDIE!" and "QUEERBAITER!" in his face. If the long-running theory that FOX was purposely not letting Buddie happen is true, then Oliver was probably very aware that anything he did or said would give fans false hope and would lead to disappointment and people disliking him. He seems like a really good guy who doesn't want to really hurt people's feelings that way. But at the end of the day, it hinders an actor's ability to give a character or a scene their all if they're constantly overthinking how it will be perceived by the audience.
So, I think Oliver is saying that he's no longer overthinking his actions when it comes to the way he acts as Buck. If people want to perceive a scene/action as gay, then okay. If they don't, okay. If they hate it, okay. If they love it, fantastic. And the same for any solo Buck scenes or non-buddie scenes too. I'm glad he's trying not to let how other people perceive his acting choices get to him anymore.
I hope I explained myself clearly! And again, that's just MY interpretation of what he said. I'm sure there are plenty of other valid interpretations too.

i still can't believe they chose to make louis a party boy having a random girl pregnant than letting him come out i mean really is that terrible for them? how many fans would they risk with him coming out that are not risking with the whole bg?
The primary theory, in which I believe to be true as well, was they were gonna let Harry come out (as bisexual, whether that is true or not) and that was the trade off. With how loud larries were back then, and 1d’s team constantly scrambling to “prove” they weren’t together, they couldn’t have just let one of them come out and not have a surefire way to remove any possibility of larry - so the best way was to ensure louis looked as straight as possible was “proof” that he had sex with a woman, and a stunt gf wasn’t enough if Harry was going to be out.
I think the thing is, is that it was such a different landscape back then to what it is today. It would be much harder to closet larry had it been happening these days, but SC was making good money and didn’t wanna ruin the marketability of 1d, because he’s a selfish prick. So anyway, he decided cool, if these guys are gonna still keep trying to come out, we’re gonna throw one under the bus to be totally straight, and the other more famous one can come out as a compromise.
In the industry, 1d is a reflection of SC. He’s going to try and make sure he doesn’t look like an idiot, as much as possible. He needs to make it look like he’s cool, calm, and collected, with an excellent boyband who do all the right things, and are perfectly marketable good little boys. This doesn’t include: two of them being in a relationship, mental health issues, substance abuse issues, videos of them smoking pot etc., but, in order to look like a super cool forward thinking high up dude who is down with the kids and is an empathetic and accepting boss to the larger industry and GP, he was like “alright cool, one of you can come out, and it’s going to be Harry. It can’t be both of you. So, it’ll be a small sacrifice for the greater good and you can both eventually come out, but you don’t wanna lose fans, do you??? We need to be careful about this, and separate you as much as possible. Wouldn’t you rather have a bit of freedom than none at all?” and then that’s kinda what happened, but it all ended up in a dumpster fire.
It’s kinda like having kids (not that I know what that’s like but it’s an apt comparison often used for folks who look after artists), you want them to reflect how good of a caretaker and person you are, always with a smile on their face and that nothing is wrong at all, even if its not always that easy behind the scenes, if you know what I mean? And Letting Harry come out was gonna be great for SC, an absolutely HUGE move at the time that he was happy to go through with because it was gonna make him look great, but it could never have been both of them coming out, and never the two of them together. Not for a long time anyway. It was baby steps.
And I just wanna point out, that while larry is known to be real within different parts of the music industry, this is a massive business and not everybody knows. Oftentimes I see people saying “oh everyone knows” but it’s literally not true. They have small inner circles, and the very high ups know, but it’s not some industry wide knowledge that they’re together. It’s still quiet in that respect.
And to your point, anon, they’d risk the overall marketability of their prime demographic, having them come out. And louis was going to be a lot harder to explain when coming out than Harry. Louis was in a long term relationship, committed, his gf’s initial tattooed on his hand, already didn’t get along well with SC, and it would’ve stopped Harry coming out. So, Harry was the easier choice and Louis’ stunt was gonna be short lived anyway. Except it wasn’t. And I just have to stress how different this was back then. Nothing like this at that scale was happening at the time, and never with this many fans unravelling the narrative. It truly was one of a kind and SC and team didn’t know how best to deal with it.
Anyway, truly a shit show.

Deciding how Doll would act in this little AU thing is proving a touch troublesome See, her motives aren't exactly clear at the moment
TLDR: It's tricky to figure out where Doll's thoughts are at this point. So, I'll try my best to keep her in character. Episode 7 and 8 might reveal stuff that'll make AU her out of character, and I'll just have to live with that
overly long character rambling below:
Like, from episode 3 we know she's willing to kill a bunch of her peers in order to set up a revenge trap. She tried to kill Uzi, and was fully prepared to try again even after being beaten. So she is very open to killing, even if the person has proven capable of beating her.
But, upon finding out Uzi also has the solver, she decides against it and claims she'll try to help Uzi if she finds out what's going on. And back in 2 we see her risk having her powers revealed to keep Lizzy from opening the door. Was that her trying to protect herself or Lizzy? Maybe a little of both. But, after the revenge plan goes south. Rather than kill Lizzy, she tosses her into the bleachers. So she won't kill those she's close to (even after Lizzy tried to warn V, mind you) or those she can empathize/sympathize with (a girl she's bullied for years, but also happens to be infected with the solver)
Currently, Doll wants answers about what happened to her parents in the labs and the solver, similar to the main group. Despite that shared goal, Doll makes it clear she does not want to work with the Uzi, N, and V on this. But at the same time, she was prepared to go down into the lab with a disassembly drone and a human. Which she changes her mind about after Tessa shoots at her, and the main trio show up.
She had the key bug, she got to the elevator before them, she could have just called the elevator and went down before the main group got there. But instead, she sets a trap to kill them. Why though? Why try to kill them, and why now?
Was the grudge against V so strong that she was willing to get all of them killed just to get to V?
Did Tessa tell her something, and now she can't leave Uzi and N alive despite sparing them? Because at the end of 5 she seemed ready to just take the bug and leave them to their own devices. (Though, she could also have just weighed her options and decided it wasn't worth trying to kill any of them, but I digress). And even at that point, she seems to have some respect for Uzi. Like, at least a sliver of it, based on what she says to Khan. Likely based on Uzi choosing to protect her friends over continuing to fight her for the key bug.
And that's without even getting into how much she knows about what's going on. How much did Tessa tell her? She had to say something in order to convince Doll to help get the key, but how much of her hand was Tessa willing to show?
Does Doll know the Earth was destroyed? Does she know who CYN was? Does she know that the disassembly drones used to be workers? Does she know Nori's probably behind the core melt down? Does she know that Tessa plans to kill all infected drones? And if she does, does she agree with doing that and has just accept her fate, or was she just playing along to get Tessa to help her find answers?
I could continue to ramble on, but this post is long enough. Needless to say, I'm excited for 7 and 8
and if any Doll fans out there have some theories or head canons, I'd love to hear them
#murder drones#md doll#character analysis#ramblings#was the attempted murder via velociraptor really necessary?

It's interesting to see how angry people got just because I said that those pictures don't prove anything to me. I don't think that me ever expressing my opinion about anything—the wedding, for example—caused this many hateful asks. // Because people are tired of the presence of those in the fandom, who insist on continuing to spin webs of increasingly conspiracy-like fantasies to create false hope and explain away the basic reality: that Chris married a woman who lot's of fans don't like and that whatever seems "weird/off/out of character" and "doesn't make sense", has other simple explanations than the false interpretations and conclusions you (and others who ate up the lies about pr relationships/stunts that got spread in various fandoms) came to. Starting with the simple fact that nobody here knows the real Chris. Or the fact that love can turn people into hypocrites. Or that a certain amount of pr is present in most real celeb relationships.
That doesn't mean people can say and talk to people however they want. "Being tired of someone" doesn't make anybody entitled to leave hateful and disgusting asks.
And sorry, but me thinking this is PR makes me unwanted in the fandom? Just because I think this isn't something real? So I can't be Chris's fan because I don't think they are together, and even if I were, I wouldn't see that big, happy love? I agree that there are a lot of people who take things too far, and I don't understand why they are here when they hate him so much. But until people are capable of expressing their opinion in a respectful way, I don't see a problem with being here. Or do you really think that if this whole thing is not PR, he or his team will come here and read what we say? Do you really think that if this is not PR, they care what I or anybody else says or thinks about the nature of their relationship? Especially when I, for example, always try to remain respectful towards everybody. Every anon and every participant in this whole thing. I talk about choices and actions, never about looks and appearances.
If you are tired of someone, you can unfollow or block them. I have my opinion; I don't create false hope since most of us here are adults, and we can decide where we are standing and what we are believing. I have my opinion; I talk about it, but I've never stated I knew something, so I can't create false hopes.
Opinions aren't conspiracy theories. Me saying that I think they are PR isn't one. Those theories are usually about something much more important and widely known, like that the moon landing was faked or Diana's death wasn't an accident. Two actors being in a PR relationship isn't one.
PR relationships have always been a thing in HW. It's not a myth; it's not something that is uncommon in Hollywood. Yeah, not every relationship is PR; nobody said that, but there are PR ones out there.
Nobody said we know Chris, and yeah, while PR might be involved in every celebrity relationship, this is not the normal amount. He never needed to post video dumps or have hundreds of articles about his love life. Yeah, we could say it is because she is the one and he is crazy for her, but I don't see that in their body language or faces. My opinion.

Okay. Fact time.
OS never cared about Buddie.
All he cared about was him getting importance over everyone else.
Its evident from all his interviews till s6. And now, that fact is just getting justified further.
Guy says he always played Buck as bi. But the fact is, he didn't.
That bi possibility ONLY came out when he was with Eddie & maybe TK. Not with any other man. AND OS was over the moon for mortalia being "THE couch" 🤢🤮 which completely eliminates the viability of his claim that he ALWAYS wanted Buck's sexuality explored.
Guy says the people who don't like Tommy & this plot are people who doesn't know how a story works.
And he does!? Because if he did, he wouldn't just dismiss the loyalty of one of the biggest fandoms after Destiel that kept the show in the forefront of social media all these years. If it was 1 person thinking so, it can be a mistake. There's LITERALLY tens of thousands of fans who have found Buddie on the show. Even when they had no idea about the ship before watching the show & realizing "wait....are they a thing!!??" out of the blue.
No wonder there are a lot of Buddie shippers who are hurt by his attitude, quitting the show. Not because they're h*moph*bic. But because he's been dismissing them & all the subtext that the show has thrown at them all these years without an inch of shame of taking advantage of it for all that time.
If he's so arrogant enough to think he alone can run the show, it won't be long until that ship sinks. Especially when the arrogance is directed to fans, the people who LITERALLY pay his bills, because if we don't watch his work, he'd be jobless.
People have been desperately grasping at straws with all the interviews he's been giving..."he knows something", "of course he can't straight up say he wants buddie... common", "that was a very good way of answering the question" etc etc.
Guess what... it WASN'T the best way to answer SUCH AN IMPORTANT question.
Of course he could say what he wanted. It wasn't like the interviewer asked what was going to happen.
I have always thought his quick answer of "I'm open to it" is SO ODD. Because THAT is not how someone who wants it will talk about it. I have felt it from the beginning. The first Ryliver live. That itself had sealed the deal that ALTHOUGH people desperately WANT Ryan to be the one OPPOSING Buddie (because that's the ONLY way that their h*te towards him will be justified), Ryan was the one who chose the ship name & talked about how Buddie is getting shipped every second. OS kept mum even then. His expressions & body language changed. As if he isn't so into it.
THAT has been going on every damn time Buddie was mentioned in interviews. As if he's not so keen to do it.
Let me say...his body language screams he didn't want to do the Timmy Turner kiss too. He's uncomfortable af. If you remove your "OMG OS is amazing" glasses off & view it as a critic, you'll get it in a second. He just seems to be in it because, again, his character is getting importance.
Among the 911 cast, there's no one MORE concerned about THEIR position, THEIR role, THEIR screen time etc as much as OS does. He'd promote the hell out of the lamest things if it meant he'll get attention . That's what happened in s6. Taking unethical advantage of the fandom's couch theory & promoting the mortalia track like a giddy kid & being over enthusiastic about "in another life"....all were the cry for attention. And the fandom fell for it.
THAT is what's happening now too. Plus he's copying words from other actors to make his "story" more interesting lol.
Anyway....guy has become more arrogant than he already was.
Arrogance NEVER ends well. History has it proved.
PS: People can try grasping at straws to support the guy & put him on a pedestal because he's a tantrum king. But don't @ me on this with your straws. Won't work. I don't like arguing with blind fans because you wouldn't EVER see sense even if it is ALL SHOVED ON YOUR FACE.
Truth is bitter & y'all are just proving it lol🤣

Some Cannabis and Overenthusiasm-fuelled Fan Theories about Worlds Beyond Number (Part 2)
Theory #2: Is Eioghorain Rasper?
Look, this one is so thin. But it really leads back to my overarching theory that Eioghorain isn't actually as bad as we think actually, this theory of mine is very emotional and very deep, so I shall keep it to myself until I have a relisten specifically geared toward proving this, or if he is, it's not in the way we think. In reality, it probably stems solely from me thinking over and over again about the GIFT that is the fact that Eioghorain looks like Toshiro Mifune. But we know literally 2 things about Rasper (as recallled from memory so please correct me if I'm mistaken):
1) his origins are very mysterious but his name is likely a name cloak
2) he is an older east asian man with graying hair at his temples and a lithe, athletic build
This literally just occured to me today while listening to the Fireside Chat when Brennan made an effort to remark that Eioghorain would be older now. Aabria and Erika were (rightly) distracted by Mifune still being smoking hot at any age, but I can't help but wonder...
Theory #3: Indri and Mirara are working together to kill Hakea
Ok... ride with me, please. I've already talked about this before, but I have to say it again because... i just believe it so much. We know that The King of Night wants to eliminate Ame so that the Coven can make moves against the Citadel. But... what if his infiltration of Hakea's retinue is actually a ploy from Indri to incriminate Hakea in the death of Gramore's lover??? Gramore and Hakea came into this house the closest bond. And Hakea is the one witch currently in the coven with an undeniable authority over Indri. If there can only be 3 witches, it seems like the very best chance Indri has in convincing Gramore is by turning her against Hakea so that it is Ame and Hakea on the chopping block.
Theory #4: Indri is eliminating the Coven of Elders one by one
Look... there's not a ton of data to back me up on this one besides Brennan admitting that Indri is him living his best Regina George Life. Here's what I do have
• Indri's predecessor was not about isolation and self like Indri is
• Indri killed her predecessor
• Indri is so threatened by other witches that she "gets rid of" any apprentice she has that starts learning magic
• Oh, and the Mysterious Garden of Highly Specifically Posed Ice Sculptures, including one who is very much Not Like the Others
• Indri looked exactly the same as she does now when she met Morning Wrensong... meaning she was likely equally as powerful
• Grandma Wren would've been the third witch eliminated from the Coven if Ame's curse worked
And... lbr, that's all I need to know this woman is threatened by other powerful women and is Very Likely Up to No Good...
Theory #5: Halumon might be our best bet at fixing the Coven of Elders
Remember how Halumon melted the ground of the courtyard? Also, remember the ice sculpture that was Not Like the Others? I feel like the only way we really put an end to Indri's determined elimination of her own Coven will be getting the pretty pony back to melt Ice Mommy and have her reclaim her position as the Witch of Wind and Stars. This is less of a theory and more of a hope, ngl...
Anywho, again, if you actually made it here, thanks for reading and please tell me how you feel about any of these. Also, if toy are anything like me, you have cottonmouth rn, so don't forget to hydrate.

This is just a bit of a story of my journey as a Jikook biased Army I wanted to share owing to all the discussion on your blog about the attention seeking tendencies of Tae. This is just more of a personal story that you can very well choose to ignore cause it adds no value to any discussion.
Soo, I became an Army around 2020 and the first thing I was pushed into was Taekook fan content on YT. Since the content seemed pretty fishy cause of all the "analysis" and secret messaging to it, I started looking up other sources to prove said ship and then stumbled across Jikook content. In comparison to Taekook, the Jikook content felt much more real and I didn't have to go around following any theories for it. But it did seem unlikely to me how there could be a gay couple being so open. The good thing though was that I am OT7 through and through and by this time I had watched way more BTS content to realise that BTS are not your same flushed out Kpop band, they have a lot more depth and speak about things that matter, have honest opinions about things and do voice it out either directly or indirectly. It also helps that Jikook are my bias line and so I began to follow more Jikook based accounts.
I do believe that when you keep seeing something you do start believing it more cause what started as a simple they are cute and I love their interactions did escalate to I support them. I mean I was reading so much about how they were being so loud and brave at times. I think the thing about Jikookers also is that most if not all discussions are based on real content not some contorted fan theory like Taekookers making it easier and easier to move my mindset to a "supporter". And yes, I still do find A LOT of Taekookers being really mindless about what they say and do feel it kinda pushes out any legitimacy to any of the more sensible things or actual things they say.
The thing that got me taking a step back though was when I started getting annoyed about Tae posting things about Jk to seem like he is wanting the attention and I hated that for me. Cause I genuinely love the 7 for who they are as they are and these kinda thoughts were not really nice for me to have. I also started over analysing particular content wondering why Jikook seemed mad at each other and petty things which I don't even want to think back about. It was all very "teen girly ". The other thing that stood out to me is also when Jikook enlisted together. Having read more and more about the LGBTQ+ situation in SK and the military (this is not restricted to SK, I did read up quite a bit about some other asian countries too), it didn't seem like a gay couple would actually enlist together. That said, I anyway don't think any of the Taekooker reasons for believing they are real as well.
So I took a step back and started following more general OT7 blogs and twts and I just felt so much at peace and more like myself. I am at a place now where I think that even if the members are part of the community, I don't see any ship between them as "real" or support it cause it just doesn't seem likely. It's also obvious that we see a very limited portion of their lives and there is truly not enough information to suggest that we really know anything about their other relationships. I do still really enjoy following all the Jikook accs cause it just gives me so much joy. I truly think their bond is something I will always cherish and love. They just have this wonderful chemistry and click in a way that we don't see too often and it's beautiful to watch. But so is every other bond in BTS that is so unique and wonderful.
They will really are just so wonderful together and I can't wait for them all to be out of their mandated military service to pursue their careers however they deem it feel right for them. And I'll be here to support it as best as I can.
Hi anon!
Thanks for sending me this. I can relate, because I too love all 7 of them. When I came into Tkk fandom I was met with a lot of nasty takes about Jm and I could not recognize what those takes were telling me from what I had seen myself by watching BTS. I was pretty happy to see that on Tumblr there is way less of that (though still some) and that most of the accounts I interact with love him just as much as I do.
Shipping fandom is a tricky place. When I started to look into Tkk after being Army for a while, I had real trouble sifting through all the edits and overanalyzations. There is so much shit going around that I think the madness that comes with being in Tkk spaces works counterproductive. There is realness to Tae and Jk in my opinion (a lot of reallness, though you still think my ideas are a strech… so 😆) but all the wrong edits and far fetched theories are what makes most people directly go to ‘delusional’.
I am glad that you are able to enjoy watching your favorites and that you are in a good place in fandom for yourself. That is what being a fan is about.

I see what you're saying about the term 'casual jikooker.' I think I used the term casual not to say anything about how much you believe or don't believe they're together, bc I assumed that you did, but more that I don't think I've seen you spending time dissecting things to prove or disprove the ship, so when a new piece of 'proof' (for lack of a better word) comes out I didn't think you would jump on it for the sake of it being 'proof.' I guess everyone suffers from confirmation bias to an extent, but basically I don't think you seem particularly pressed about it. I hope that makes sense, but thank you for answering my question!
I apologize if I was defensive. Like I said, some anons try to make me seem less of a Jikooker because they don't want to believe I believe in Jikook.
I used to read so many analyses, but that's when I was baby Army. Now I don't need them, or seek them out, and there isn't even enough content to analyse, but I keep seeing fan theories anyway and I won't say know to a good analyses. I like reading them. I read some tweets from Jikookers, and I see Jikook and BTS through shipper lenses, but I don't bother with proof anymore, yeah (I'm always going "Ah! See, I was right!" when something like Jikook enlisting together happens, but it's just a smaller part of me now, I guess).
I'm just so certain at this point, and also so used to the endless cycle of "Jikook broke up!" followed by "They were together that whole time?!" that it means nothing now. I can't count how many times fans were certain Jikook weren't close anymore only to be slapped in the face by Jikook being glued together behind the scenes - flirting, almost kissing, planning to literally spend the 18 months of forced separation together!! Like, maybe they weren't hanging out as much as you thought they would in chapter 2 because they knew they wouldn't be apart so they weren't as pressed to spend every moment together. Still, they remain the only two members who have gone on vacations together (for a documentary or not) - I think V and J-Hope spent some days together in Hawaii? With their families, but yeah. Stuff like this - them enlisting together - shows how little we know about what BTS do and who they hang out with, specially when it comes to Jikook. They are the most secretive when it comes to each other. They share very little of what they do together.
And here I am proving I'm a Jikooker.
Anyway, thank you for the ask and sorry if I was too defensive. You're sweet!
