So I’ve been joking for a while about how Inko manages to afford all of Izuku’s AM merch

But I decided to nerd out and look closer, and I’m pretty sure the only expensive piece Izuku owns is the poster he got from Sir

You might think his dorm looks absolutely stacked

but that’s only because it’s a very small room and he brought every piece he owns

If you look in his old room it’s all the same posters

so he’s owned it all for at least a few years, he’s been working up to this for god knows how many years, just to be the proud owner of 5 posters so basic even he would put tape on them

All of his figures are less than 50$

One of which he’s had since he was a child

And it doesn’t look like the other unidentified figures are anything special either(except maybe AM in his yellow suit)

Izuku only has generic fanboy shit, like maybe one of the posters is a custom but I honestly I don’t think he owns a single special anything

The dead guy poster is 100% the coolest thing he has, no wonder he’s so reverent about it 💀

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O

unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!

This isn't a photo, but a screenshot (taken from the raw footage) that I love. We were in Mexico, maybe after the race in the pen. I swear I don't remember the details, but I do remember that Max was answering Sky Sports when Daniel, in his usual way, walked up and started chatting with him. At this point Max also asked him a question, so Rachel from Sky thought it best to give him the microphone and let him do the Ricciardo interview. We all laughed a lot at this point, but Max - being the out-of-practice reporter that he was - didn't hold the microphone up to record Daniel's answer, which the Australian tried to compensate for with strangely awkward hand gestures, and because Sky Sports didn't have a second microphone, I put mine in his hand. But two microphones, recording sound into two separate cameras, for two completely different countries' channels, was in fact a completely unnecessary process. This was when Max and I really started laughing, when he looked at me and realised that we had all run into the "microphone" forest. Good moment, I loved it.

listen, it is important, for those who can, to confront antisemitism wherever you find it, including in leftist spaces, AND you need to think before you speak.

when something trips your antisemitism sensor, you could be looking at:

a committed believer in an anti-Jewish ideology like Nazism

a grifter who may or may not believe that shit but is saying it on purpose to attract people who do

a troll who believes in nothing and is just Saying Trigger Words To Upset Someone

an approximately regular person who has casually absorbed some cultural stereotypes and not yet questioned them

someone expressing genuine grief and rage about a recent atrocity using clumsy word choices that may not reflect an underlying anti-Jewish ideology

someone talking about a specific thing that you associate with Jews in general but they only associate with Israel (rightly or wrongly)

and probably more options I haven't thought of!

each of these requires a different approach. for the latter half, a sudden escalation will probably do more harm than good (and while Jews are not obliged to educate people about our own oppression we should probably let someone else handle it if we're seriously triggered and unable to approach constructively).

everybody wants to punch a Nazi, but that's just not the kind of situation most of us are going to be confronted with. we're going to see messy, contextual shit because we live in a messy, contextual society. we need to maintain a level of self-awareness that allows us to do the best we can with what we've got. thanks for listening
