Negotiations impossible as decision was made months ago - apparently the guy is on Yuki's managing team (and also works for SkySport Italy hence the posts on his insta)

Looking likely that things were set between summer break and Singapore, Liam always looked a tad too confident after stepping in for Daniel tbh.

Oh wow anonstie thanks this is very interesting!! Yeah I think the fact Yuki's manager is commenting publicly like this about the situation kind of says it all really. Earlier this season Mat Coch was also supremely confident (seemed to be info from the Lawson camp) that Liam had already signed for 2024 and 2025.

It's not wholly surprising, but at the same time just makes me wonder why they kept Daniel after the summer break if this was always going to be the outcome. And if so how the fuck were Daniel and his management so blindsided by everything? And if Liam was already in the Red Bull for 2025 then why was it imperative to get him in a seat for this year. Maybe they decided on Liam after the USGP - would be completely on brand for current Red Bull to make a driver decision based on literally one race.

The decision to ditch Daniel seems to have come down to Marko regaining enough power to make that decision so I'm interested in exactly when that happened and how it affected the decision making. (via AMuS / RN365)

But also think the Honda of it all can't be ignored, and I think their decision to leave the sport, only to then change their mind after RBR had to make other plans, did also fuck Yuki over a bit.

Also Gerhard Berger is supposedly part of the Red Bull driver decision process and is a huge Lawson advocate, so that adds a whole extra layer of Shakespearean-type complication.

You don't have to post this because I'm not trying to be pedantic, but it can't be intrusive by definition because this is happening on his public account and people were bound to notice at some point because hes deleted 400 posts as og now. However, I agree with what you're saying in that some people are being weird about it, but in their defence, there is nothing else to focus on atm 🤷‍♀️

No you are totally right!! Maybe intrusive is the wrong word to use, but I do fully agree that it's a completely public account and no-one is doing anything wrong (and I genuinely wasn't implying they were or judging anyone's posts/commentary about it in any way). Sorry if my post came across wrong in that way.

I was more just saying I'm not going to respond to every anon in my inbox updating the number/commenting on it continuing to go down, because I don't think I can add anything positive/meaningful to the commentary and tbh what seemed initially a yay Daniel is cutting out Red Bull, moving on from toxic ex type situation has become maybe not so positive or wholesome (and maybe it's parasocial af to say but kind of vaguely worrying). Anyway hope Daniel's all good and sorry if I offended anyone. 🫶🏻

I know I was the one who initially posted about Daniel archiving insta posts, so maybe this is a bit hypocritical of me (which I fully acknowledge and recognise - although in my defence I thought he was just doing the post breakup toxic ex type sm clear out). But idk something about this all now feels a bit weirdly intrusive - like we're watching him process his emotions in real time or having a minor menty b via instagram.

Also I'm genuinely not judging anyone paying attention, posting/commenting about it. But if I don't respond to anons about it etc it's not that I'm ignoring you I just don't know how I feel about commenting on it atm.

I do think this does make it pretty clear it's daniel himself doing this. If it was Blake/CAA/PR person I just don't see why it would be in dribs and drabs like this. I don't see why they would be deleting personal completely non-work-related posts.
