before I forget
so last year, I went into work and my coworker was wearing earrings. I was rather surprised, thinking she was wearing menorah earrings, because I didn't think she was Jewish
....she was not in fact wearing menorah earrings. they were moths. Anyways then I couldn't stop thinking about a moth menorah. a mothenorah, if you will. and I sketched one on my phone that day.

I kept meaning to redraw it, and finally I did! Behold: the Luna Mothenorah

I made a few new wax seal stamps out of clay (like the ones I did for my worldbuilding stuff forever ago), this time just of random symbols that I thought might look good done in the style of painting over the raised part of the wax or etc. :0c Some of them aren't carved deep enough to really show up that well, but overall they worked okay for being clay lol

I was imagining like a swirly night sky sort of looking thing so it would be a surreal contrast of a night#sky with a window in the middle that shows a daytime sky - but the silver and purple wax kind of mixed too much together#with the black and it just looks very plain black and not all that starry or anything hjbhj.. Of course the eye is probably my favorite#since all I ever do is draw eyes and still like eye imagery for some reason. The four leaf clover is very lumpy and skrunkty but also it wa#the smallest in size out of all of them so was easier to do multiple stamps of just to try it out.#The heart with eyes wax is actually more swirly in person. I wanted it to be a mix of light pink and red and white. and the wax#did kind of all blend together but in person you can definitely see MORE of the intentional swirlyness. in this it just looks plain pink.#I was going to do one eye in the heart but it looked weird. but now two seems too plain. i could have done 3?? in a pattern.. hmm#alas. I wish I could make actual metal ones. With the clay i have to paint them in a thin layer of olive oil before stamping because#otherwise the wax just kind of gets stuck in the grooves of the clay and then you can't pull it up. Very wacky ''unprofessional'' looking#set up where I'm hot gluing circles of sculpey clay to short stumps of a wooden dowel that I sawed apart with a serrated bread knife#and then using an old paintbrush to put olive oil on them whilst holding a spoon over a yankee candle flame hjbjh#ANYWAY.. I think if I were middle class/rich/etc. this would be one of the main things in my crafting room is like.. SO many colors#of wax. and all different custom made stamps designed by me. which could be much more elaborate in actual metal.. muahaha.... >:)c#RHGghhh... I actually don't want to talk much about it since (this is probably just my Obsessed With My Own World Artist Delusions) I#think I have a really cool idea for a game that could genuinely be successful if i ever get to make it and I don't want to give#everything away and spoil the whole plot/concept in hopes that one day I can actually do it - BUT - a game that I'd like to make after the#visual novel I'm making now has partially to do with the main character working as a sort of writer/scribe/artist assistant in an elven#city (set in my world/with my worldbuilding species and versions of elves and etc) and I was thinking of maybe incorporating#somehow being able to collect little writing type items like these like.. you can get different wax seal patterns or pens or etc. when I do#stuff like this in Real Life it always makes me think of that like.. ouh... this is good research.. what it shall be like to be a littol#elf collecting wax seals and such.. indeed... made a lil house in minecraft
#it is modded (the fairy lights and furniture are not vanilla)#and i did follow a youtube tutorial though i edited some parts#but this isn't a cherry grove lmao this is a plains#i added the trees and petals and. pretty much everything that's not normal plains stuff#hid lighting under the moss carpets so it's bright and there's no spawns but i don't need to ruin the Vibe with torches#the lake nearby is only separated from the ocean by a small beach#so i'm gonna dig a canal to connect them and decorate and possibly release the axolotls i found into the lake#one of the mods lets you have candles on lilypads so i'm stoked for that#ALSO. by the bedroom. that's my mine entrance#i literally spent over an hour and over 4 stacks of cherry logs making it (and drowned twice)#it's stripped cherry and birch planks all the way down to -53#with powdered snow on one side and a soul sand water elevator on the other#i literally haven't even mined yet or even carved out an area to start mining#i just made the shafts. and it took over an hour and two deaths gjfhdhshs#also powdered snow + carpet is my new favorite way of breaking falls thanks youtube#you don't fall into the snow bc of the carpet but it still breaks your fall and you take no damage!#and since it's under carpet it looks cute too#you just have to be careful when using a powdered snow drop next to a water elevator 😔#bc water will wash away the snow... happened to me twice 😭#thankfully i got like 7 buckets of the stuff so i was fine#rey rambles#minecraft#anyway cherry wood was the best thing they've ever added to minecraft i am SUCH a pink bitch and this is perfect#modded pink woods never quite captured the Vibe the way vanilla cherry does

I cannot listen to the magnus archives as a normal person I have to read the wiki pages of episodes I already listened to and make notes and try to guess the entities and what they do and make a file out of it

made an irresponsible lord huron purchase tonight but what the hell else am I supposed to do when their next album is overdue

So I'm shopping on Etsy for ACOTAR merch for Christmas (because I wanted to treat myself this year), and good GOD there are so many Tamlin's Tears mugs and Salty Little Bitch Tamlin candles and bookmarks. Whyyyy? At least the Suriel Tea mugs are kind of funny.
It makes me want to make my own stuff instead, to be honest.

Short rant. That moment when you realize how drained the people around you make you feel as the mom friend. It's hit me.
Not even just as an introvert. I feel like I'm never listened to by the people I surround myself with. I keep speaking my mind and I'm ignored, but I keep giving and they'll keep taking. I stop giving, and they'll find a way to take ("I think I'll help myself to *something I didn't ask permission for but I'm taking it anyway*" or "it's your fault for working these shifts so we can't hang out even though I know your schedule" or "oh you need a shoulder? Well I'm in more pain than you are and I'll tell you why instead of let you continue").
I feel like I'm taking care of children more than I am hanging out with friends. Like dang. I'm the mom friend. It doesn't mean you should treat me like your mother. I've been really hurt by these people and it's started to affect my self esteem and mental health. There are these little interactions that have built up over the years and snowballed into bigger issues because they do what they want without thinking of others. I've gotten a few apologies for incidents but it's only when I bring it up. Obviously I can't control anybody. But not willing to meet in the middle is a common theme within our circle.
A few instances have occured most recently that have made me seriously introspect.
#introvert#introvert things#my friends are also undiagnosed autistics so it's hard to be mad at them#but they can be really rude and use autism as an excuse instead of apologizing when i say i'm upset#social cues are hard for them#me too#but it's frustrating#one time I made them cookies at our place and one friend was being super rude that I kept getting up to check on them#like telling me to shut up in our conversations and name cqlling#we are adults#i have a job and a roommate#even she takes my food/candles without asking sometimes even though she makes four times as much as me and can afford her own#there have been several instances of the really autistic friend telling me to shut up over snd over until I do#then she turns to her favorite friend so they can joke around like a complete 180#i think i'm just really angry and frustrated and this has been building for a few years now

If NSR had another 'Christmas Remix' like update. I want it to be called 'Fable Remix'. Which is basically the NSR characters dressed up as Fairytale characters. All I could think about is Eve's design referencing 'The North Wind and The Sun', Yinu's design referencing 'Pinocchio', and 1010's design referencing 'The Steadfast Tin Soldier'.
Neat! I have no idea what any of those are other than the Pinocchio one!
I always thought if they were going to do another update they would do like a summer vacation update or something like that!
But the fable ones sound cool too! The music itself could be more lullaby-like to them!
I at first thought you meant fable as in fantasy, which could also be cool to see too! And that music could be more uuuuh, viking-like? Medieval? I don't know the word for it, but like something you would hear with like lutes and fiddles and stuff that are really old.
Don't know what the summer remix songs would sound like. Probably not that different, especially since the holiday remixes literally just added a shit ton of bells to the songs as the most obvious change lol.

YAY!!! Finally rid off all of my cursed objects!!
#gave the candle away as a birthday present#gave the ring away cause it bothered me too much#and the drawing my partner just destroyed because i asked her#yuppie!!#it was a pretty gradual process#in truth i dont like making hasty decisions (which is why i kept the drawing around for so long)#and i also hate throwing things away if they can still have a use (not in a horder way)#and the ring was genuinely really cool i just didnt want to keep it around anymore because of all the memories#the candle and the drawing were made by me in the first place#as gifts that i never got the chance to send (because i decided to disengage before i mailed them)#candles are a pretty universal present and it was a good quality item so that one was easy peasy#would have kept it myself but again#dont like the memories#anyway doesnt matter now#its all gone!#hopefully next year i dont think about it all as much#jenyaposting
