ANyways they used to have the same height when they were younger but of course the boys grew so fast. It's cute that she can't even kiss Mattheo without him leaning down or her pulling his tie down (not recommended, he'll get horny after that)

ok so, on average, sunflowers are like 5-6ft, the really tall ones can get up to 14ft, but generally they're around Abby's height!! also for this one, I'm imagining that reader is like 5'6 or below just so that the height diff b/w you and the flowers and you and abby are large enough to be noticeable. if you are taller than that baby I'm sorry </3

Ultimate Baker Chiaki:

Chiaki spaces out a bunch

She takes naps while waiting for something to bake and wakes up bc of her timer’s alarm

Chiaki’s ace but not aro (yet also she’s figuring out how not aro she is bc her and romance never really aligned much until Mikan)

Her favourite things to bake are custard buns

Her favourite flowers are sunflowers

When baking, Chiaki hyper-focuses on getting the right measurements, the right airiness, the right amount of mixing, etc. etc. and everything else sort of gets tuned out

Chiaki’s palate is sensitive, so you won’t find her eating spicy things much. She’s not afraid to work with spice though (although taste testing is gonna hurt…)

Sleep schedule? What’s that? Chiaki bakes all day and her sleep is during the times the oven is on and its door is shut (do NOT try this at home, that is 100% NOT safe)

Chiaki loves baking because she enjoys the trial and error process, and not necessarily because she wants to feed others (but she does have to do something about her creations, and she likes seeing other people happy with something she made)

On that note, she’s not someone who usually takes requests (and why she won’t open a bakery) because she prefers baking what she wants, yet she will for the people she’s closest to

Physical affection? Chiaki dotes HARD. Cuddling is free real estate. Mikan’s equally as touchy, but usually doesn’t initiate in fear of causing discomfort (but usually Chiaki’s okay with it and she voices as much)

Their height diff is so cute, Mikan leans down to place forehead kisses on Chiaki (which she’s cool with btw!)

Mikan is basically Chiaki’s pillow and she is NOT complaining

Chiaki is SO patient she’s willing to hear Mikan out or be there for her or give her space when she needs it

Chiaki makes the conscious effort to be more forthcoming and tries not to say wishy-washy uncertain statements when it comes to Mikan (saying “You’re adorable” instead of “You can be pretty adorable.”) 

She sometimes says wishy-washy statements because she’s embarrassed at being forthcoming but she gets more comfortable longer into their relationship

Chiaki and Mikan watch horror movies and Chiaki expects Mikan to cling to her during it but is surprised to find Mikan completely fine 

Also they DO have movie nights and they are 100% a ploy to drag Chiaki away from baking for a while 

Mikan rants (and yes! Mikan being around someone she trusts means passionate ranting) around Chiaki about some bouquets she made that day or even about bad customers and Chiaki blissfully listens as she’s preparing dough

The flower shop Mikan runs also sells some treats that Chiaki made

Although Chiaki’s very used to it, Mikan is DEFINITELY worried about Chiaki’s room burning down and switches between eyeing the oven for a bit before going back to looking at a napping Chiaki and making her more comfortable

While Chiaki bakes, she ain’t cooking, and Mikan deffo isn’t (she did try and she’s actually pretty good at simple dishes, but she doesn’t like cooking), so they’re the type to order something when they want other types of food

Chiaki definitely makes flower puns/jokes and Mikan will be amused on principle (being used to it with a small smile) but if anyone else does it, she will be very intolerant (“W-what? What are you saying? You shouldn’t sully flowers like that…”)

10k Update

I’ve decided I’m going to do a revamp of my writing updates for every 10,000 words I write. It’s a pretty good way to keep up with everything I write that doesn’t make it in the monthly update by virtue of it just being too damn long ago.

It’s pretty early in the month for me to have already reached 10,000 words, but I’ll admit I’ve been a bit of a powerhouse lately with my writing. Maybe it’s because I haven’t slept much? I always seem to be more creative when I’m a little loopy. My brand of creativity seems to thrive when I’m just slightly off-balance.

Regardless, I’m thrilled to say that I’ve written some pretty decent work so far. 

The first thing I wrote for was for Silver Storm, a novel that features Hiprax, the son of a silver dragon. It takes place in my Dragonworld, a world that is literally made of a sleeping dragon. Undoubtedly my coolest worldbuilding ever, and perhaps even my magnum opus when it comes to worldbuilding.

(I hope not, but as of now, it is.)

My husband adores this most of anything I’ve ever written for Silver Storm. This was wonderful for my ego; he’s pretty tough on books. Especially my fantasy books, because that is the main genre he reads. For him to shower this snippet with compliments… it does things to a man’s confidence.

I did work on part of this last month. Obviously inspired by Baldur’s Gate 3, I went a little further into Hiprax’s experience adapting to dracon culture after he loses his mother, Vrynnd. Having been raised as a sitaav elve (this world’s equivalent of a frost elf), he’s disconnected from the draconic origin of his life. So much so that he doesn’t know his father is a dragon at all and just believes him to be a dracon, the offspring of dragons.

That’s a lot of worldbuilding to contextualize an excerpt, but again, I’m nothing if not wordy.

Hiprax does not believe himself to show many draconic traits. There are, of course, the obvious: he loves shiny things, he loves great heights, he loves the wind against his scales. He wouldn’t count himself as having the same type of pride that other dracons do. 

Then, I decided I would fully commit to editing my Q1 Short Stories™ and began my edit of “The Boy & The Hag Stone”. Since I’ve already edited “Plastic Fangs”, and because I spoke about “Hag Stone” more recently, I chose it to edit instead of my beloved vampires. 

Banshee is a very special character to me. In the words of Laszlo Cravensworth:

“He’s my best friend, he’s my pal, he’s my homeboy, my rotten soldier, my sweet cheese, my good time boy.”

Which is, of course, how I feel about all of my Weirdo Characters™, but especially Banshee. I gave Banshee some parts of myself: his wild, dark hair, his uncanny stare, his hatred of shoes. (I really fucking hate shoes.) To Rishi, I gave my love of run-on sentences and cup noodles. 

Here’s my favorite tiny excerpt from his edit!

Banshee was a ghost, a lost soul, a feral child all grown up. He never left footprints; instead, asphodels grew wherever he walked. Every time he predicted rain, there was, and every time he predicted clear skies, there were.

I got very obsessed with Brutus (of Julius Caesar fame) for a brief period of time. So obsessed I wrote a poem and half of a short story about him. My Brutus obsession has resulted in poem before, but very rarely do I allow a poem to germinate into a short story.

This short story was pretty unique. I did it in the style of “The Cannon” by Kelly Link: a Q&A. My husband liked it only because of the “interesting form” and not so much for the content, because he is “not interested in that sort of thing” (i.e., writing about Roman politicians doing an interview in maybe-Purgatory.) I’ll give him points, though; the style is pretty unconventional.

Q: Did it hurt?

A: Does pulling a tooth hurt? Does drinking poison hurt? Of course it did. It hurt as though I was stabbing myself. His blood looked exactly like mine. 

It’s not finished yet, but I think it’s more of a way to adventure into different forms than a way to tell an actual story. There’s some slappage there, though.

Then I worked on some blog posts, including a WIP intro and some character intros for Double-Trickery! This is one of my favorite books to write for. Penny and Mavuto’s dynamic is something pretty unique in my work. Every couple I write is some level of codependent, but learning necromancy just because you think your best friend (or the “love of your life”) is dead? Damn, that’s conviction.

That’s the wrap-up for now! In all, I’m quite pleased with all I’ve done as of late. It’s only been six days, and I’m already in the double digits when it comes to word count. Hell yeah!

Well I Wonder If I Have Any Thoughts About Size Difference.

This is the first post in my 19-page long tag for size differential!kink, lol. Begin as you mean to go on, I guess.

I'll shortly rb a one-two size diff ficlety/hc thing I did in the way back, too, but for now --

So it's so fun to have Dean feel All Kinds of Ways about the size diff, especially since it's fun to take canon as canon and say that he hit his max height of 6' at ~eighteen while Sam was struggling to keep up. But then when Sam finally does hit his real growth spurt(s) and rockets up, Dean's initial betrayal ("I'm older, how the hell are you taller?") turning into lust is of course delish.

BUT

I am sooooooo much more interested in Sam's own size diff kink, in particular if it's not just lust for being bigger (because of course he's bigger, than basically anyone he meets) but in specific a) being bigger than Dean specifically, bc of the hot-gut delight that might be possible re: the size reversal noted above; b) a lust born very precisely of Dean's alarmed kink. Which is a subtle distinction but one that I love -- in which Sam is just chill, like 'yeah, so what, I'm big af', but Dean's complicated tangle of emotions about it sets off a kink fire in Sam as a kind of call-response. (I like that all the time with them, tbh, but size is such a dumb gut-level neanderthal kink that it's particularly fun -- this waking realization of, oh, you like me to be able to overpower you? Oh, well then. I very much like making you come so hard your brain leaks out your ear. :)))

There's also a very delicate little turn to articulate in Sam that I really adore and don't feel like I see enough, which is this emotional/lust snarl around the tangled threads of: enjoying being bigger than Dean; enjoying that Dean likes it; but also feeling somewhat alarmed about his own enjoyment (re: previous fears of monsterhood or violence); but ALSO getting bizarrely off on that exact vague guiltiness or alarm. I have a major thing for sex volcano!Sam, so the moment where he'd be holding back and holding back and then erupting forward and using all that EVERYTHING to its fullest advantage is just. Lovely. And so I have written many words on the subject.

tbh there’s really no guides I can rec unfortunately, I learned p much by trial and error and got better with practice. my biggest anam specific tip for anyone is get used to the orb. the sliders are better for fine tuning and smaller adjustments

as far as taller fem and shorter masc posing goes 🤷🏾‍♀️ again it’s just trial and error, 99% of premades are not made for this and you have to get really good at making adjustments from other races unless you make your own from scratch. w a Viera it’s not as bad bc unlike Elezen you have a fair amount of poses being made for you. not as ubiquitous as the min height miqora industrial complex but you have a lot more options than femroes and elves. get used to only loading expressions to fix your face though.

use the environments to your advantage, leaning against surfaces, etc. but also: it doesn’t have to look perfect from every angle. that’s probably the biggest tip I can give for tall fem height diff posing, more than once I’ve had the shorter char literally floating bc I was focusing on portraiture, zooming in on faces.

First everything pretty much I would say- fkjdhakfjdas except possibly crushes on Crystalline's side. But I do think Shapeless One didn't have any crushes prior to them. He's a very particular fellow.

What’s their height difference? Age difference?

Height diff illustrated- fkjdhfkds Crystalline is 5'5 so he's what...6 something fkjdhsakfjda tol.

Age difference...uh...feels meaningless when they live for so long fhkdjsahfk I'm not sure! I need more info about the past to be that precise. I do imagine something like 1-4 years though, so not really much!

What are their primary love languages?

Shapeless One: I think primarily acts of service! I think in this case that largely boils down to Crystalline indulging him in his unique interests by assisting with those, along with his plans and whims. That just absolutely delights him and sets his heart aflame regardless of how big or small the gesture is. Secondary would be physical touch.

Crystalline: Words of affirmation. They receive this frequently from him. If he's present, it's the constant purring and cooing over them, practically spouting poetry and showering them in petnames. When he's away, they still receive his letters frequently, which are not only full of whatever he's been up to, but praise for his beloved. Secondary is quality time.

So when they're together physically, there's a lot of cuddling while engaging in parallel play to satisfy those secondaries :D

How do they celebrate holidays?

I guess it depends what holiday but the two of them either care zero for a holiday and completely ignore it or they go all out. Those are the only two options. Fancy outfits, gifts (even if those aren't normally called for), decorations...just, everything.

They do enjoy in particular local festivals and will often latch onto those with GREAT zeal. Those are fun because they are so very human and they already love mingling with humans in the first place so it's perfect. And each festival has it's own quirks and OH! they just adore that.

Feel free to ask about specific (non-Christian) holidays though if anyone is curious~
