Part 1 Introducing My Oc
Twisted Wonderland/Pokemon OC
Name: Alexia
Gender: Female Age: 9 (she later turns 10 in Twisted wonderland)
Partner Pokemon: Swinub (no name yet) Alexia’s first pokemon. They met when she was 5 and they both got lost in a mountain. They are both the same age and have a bond similar to Ash and Pikachu. Swinub is very upbeat, cheerful and can read his trainer very well. He is a lot more social than Alexia and is a major help in Alexia meeting new people (for good or bad).
Handicaps: High Functioning Autistic, insecure, PTSD, Hypersensitivity, not always socially aware, can be blunt, has difficulty with change, difficulty with people and large groups.
Hair Color: Currently undecided
Skin Color: Band/Honey Tan with freckles
Eye Color: Crystal Blue
Family: Mom, Dad, Older Twin Brothers, Grandparents on Dad’s Side, Uncle is Professor Kakui, Aunt and Cousin in Kalos.
Personality Quirks:
Alexia is terrified of the pokemon Drowzee and Hypno to the point of a violent phobia. She is so terrified of them that she runs from them or attacks them with extreme prejudice with her bare hands.
Alexia loves crazy fashion. She has a Mimikyu Raincoat, black boots with neon stars, a collection of hats and coats, and crochets scarves for each of her pokemon.
Alexia has a childish disposition, but can be very mature when needed.
Family backstory: Alexia‘s father's side of the family are descendants of the aura guardians (and distant cousin’s to Ash Ketchum). Alexia is the only one in her family outside of her grandparents to inherit the powers of aura but due to her autism, she is unable to train by traditional methods which are the only methods that her family knows. As far as her family knows, Alexia is utterly untrained in her aura powers but in reality, Alexia is decently attuned to her aura. While she is not a master she is able to use her aura to activate time flowers, find Pokémon eggs, and read the hearts of most people and Pokémon which comes in handy when she enters twisted wonderland. She is also able to generate an aura veil to protect her from mental attacks (due to her fear of being hypnotized, but her autism actually makes her immune to hypnosis)
Personal Backstory: Alexia was the first in her immediate family to have High Functioning Autism which led to some issues throughout her childhood. She wasn’t very social with most kids her own age (a trait she still has), and though she does have a few friends, she usually prefers her own company or the company of her pokemon.
As a toddler, Alexia loved exploring and often sensed the energy and aura and would wander off to find it. This led her to encounter Darkrai when she was 5 and a large group of Unkown when she was 4. Darkrai opened his heart to Alexia after realizing she wasn’t scared of him (finding humor in the story her brothers told her about Hypno and how she was more afraid of that pokemon than him) and how she didn’t judge him for his nightmare powers.
At age 7, Alexia got bullied by her classmates and teachers so badly that she stopped leaving her room. This led her parents to have her live with Kakui in Alola, who recommended that she start her Pokemon Journey early in order to aid in her mental health. She completed the Island Challenge and then went to Kanto where she met Ash and became friends (she didn't join him on his journey, but they ran into each other and had adventures often, especially in the movies)

The dangers of age regressing (TW)
Everyone loves to talk about how age regression is a healthy and positive coping mechanism for them because it helps them forget about the adult anxieties and responsibilities in life for a while. Age regression is seen in good light so abundantly that many people on social media often ask others how they can regress, but no one talks about how age regressing can enforce them to carry adult anxieties or how regressing can become harmful to many.
How is that so? Age regression is a defense mechanism that makes you experience a deep psychological shift. Defense mechanisms are forced unconscious processes that is your brains way of helping you cope and escape from present anxieties, depression, feelings of fear, disgust, or guilt etc. but when age regression has the interpolation of a past, time-frozen experience over the present reality it can make the regressed individual re-experience their past trauma by having sudden and unwanted traumatic flashbacks that intrude into or replace what’s happening presently. When this happens the regressed individual can feel unwanted emotions such as fear, disgust, or guilt etc. that their brain is supposed to be safeguarding. This can be very damaging because when a person is regressed they are in a deep psychological shift where their knowledge, motor skills, and behaviors etc. is in the same manner of a biological child. The regressed individual can start to feel trapped feeling sadness, anger, loneliness, etc. and other varieties of mood swings.
Why does this happen sometimes? This happens sometimes because In effect, our present reality is nothing more than a composite of all our past experiences. As imperfect people we do not have the time to access all new situations or objects from the ground up. Instead, our mind sees things that fit into our per-existing “blueprints” and memories and we instantly judge those things within that frame of reference. By the time we are mature enough to take actions to properly take care of ourselves, we have a complex structure of belief systems, and way of thinking, seeing things, and feeling things in which our unconsciousness uses to make quick sense of the information we take in through those senses.
Example: Imagine someone who is overly sensitive to their spouse raising their voice at them. Whenever they raise their voice the people who is overly sensitive freezes and finds themselves becoming tearful and completely unable to communicate effectively, possibly becoming nonverbal. Perhaps when this person first started dating their spouse their relationship with this person was really healthy, but over time (and after a few negative experiences of their spouses yelling) they begun to resort to their regressive behaviors at the mere sight of them approaching. The reaction is out of their control. They are in a deep mental shift compared to their normal behavior and way of thinking as an adult. Only after their spouse has left the room, does the regressed individual come back to their senses. In this case living with regression can be very uncomfortable and even dangerous if said spouse was abusive.
In the above example, it is likely that as a child, the regressed individual was yelled at by a family member repeatedly which may have caused them psychological and/or physical pain, especially if said individual was enduring abuse from that family member in one or more ways.
Another example: Imagine someone starts to regress due to experiencing feelings and thoughts that were too difficult for them to cope with consciously. They are regressing because their mind responded to something threatening that could cause emotional or physical harm. As they are regressing their reasoning for doing so is vanishing. Their regression is positive and healthy in this moment. They are in the mindset of a child and they start to engage in childlike activities. While they are still regressed they come across something that was in their childhood, instead of a positive response towards it they respond negatively. Perhaps it triggered them out of regression due to its memory, or perhaps they are still regressed and they do not know what’s caused them to feel negatively towards that object but it’s making them feel sadness, even suicidal. The world may feel bigger to them and they may feel isolated. They can start to feed into compulsive behavior, hostility, or risk taking, even self-destructive behaviors because of this. The regressed individual can even start to resort to negative regressive behaviors such as screaming and kicking and feed into those risk taking and destructive behaviors towards those that may be trying to help them.
In the above example, it is likely that as a child, the regressed individual suffered through trauma/abuse and their memory and reaction towards it was too impactful because it caused them emotional and physical harm.
In therapy regression can be dangerous because age regression in therapy is a technique in a psycho-therapeutic process that facilitates access to memories, thoughts and feelings. Age regression includes hypnotherapy, which is a process where patients move their present focus to memories of an earlier stage of their life in order to explore these memories and to get in touch with some difficult-to-access aspects of their personality and go back and find the initial sensitizing event to recover, re-frame, resolve, and cope with their trauma or present fear. The individual that gets hypnotized or is regressed is in an extremely weak and vulnerable state in order for this to happen. Some of the dangers of age regression therapy in hypnosis includes the hypnosis causing you to feel and behave in ways that don’t make sense in your current situation. These leftover feelings and behaviors might cause you to have fears and phobias without knowing why, feel guilty for no easily understood reason, have false memories, have difficulty in being intimate, and suffer from mental disorders.
I have never seen, experienced, or done age regression therapy through hypnosis and finding information on it is tremendously difficult. Therapist/Psychologist view it as a very controversial topic and today age regression therapy is not a common practice form of therapy practiced anymore due to the disagreements, dangers, and uncertainty of it, and because licensed professionals have found more effective ways to help people cope with trauma etc.

Intro to Hifumi and His Relations w/ Matenro [Animage part 1]

Crazy about MC. GIGOLO
Suspicious neon lights, the murmurs of the people who pass by growing louder, Shinjuku Division. In this sleepless city, there is an emperor of the night who steals the hearts of many women.
Izanami Hifumi, occupation: host. The man that whispers sweet words and takes care of women everyday has another face. If he takes off his suit, he becomes just another frivolous man with even with a phobia of women. He jumped into the world of hosts to overcome his fear of women. To continue spending time with women without pain, he became able to come in contact with women “only when he is wearing his suit”.
With his two drastically different personalities, Izanami Hifumi is currently in the team “Matenrou” with Kannonzaka Doppo and Jinguji Jakurai. Before forming the team, he performed a rap in front of Jinguji Jakurai, who had invited him to join. “That and this and that are all mine (boku) and mine(ore) and mine (watashi) / I am an enemy like the Last Boss / The rainbow after the storm is always the best,” the self that fears women, the self that works as a host, my original self; they are all myself but also all enemies. I want to overtake it someday—. His friends know the worries that he hides from others even with the cheerful smile he always has. He may have been encouraging himself by expressing the firm resolution in his heart through his lyrics. Soon, Matenrou with challenge Shibuya Division’s Fling Posse to a battle. The enemy team has strong individuality that rivals even that of Hifumi’s. Hifumi, who continues to put in lots of effort to get over his phobia of women, should be prepared to carry Shinjuku. Will Hifumi be able to bathe in the champagne of victory?

Only when he dons his suit does he become the strongest host. For Hifumi, it is a must have item when interacting with women. When he is in his host mode, the tone of his voice changes. He strikes women with sweet words in his handsome voice.
Side : Normal
As a host, he refers to himself with “watashi”, when he is off, he refers to himself with “orecchi”. When you’re with him, your personal space is very small, though it is limited to men; he shows no cowardice with being close to others. So during Hypnosis Mic battles, you can look forward to immediate action.
Killer Word
The anthem song “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-” was a 12 person mic relay, where unique killer words were weaved together. The official Twitter held a “Killer Word Championship” for the fans to vote in. Hifumi’s “Sparkling night sky and Champagne tower” won first prize.
Formation of Matenrou!
“I want to save her.”
Matenrou first formed when the host Hifumi had an incident where one of his guests became a stalker. Hifumi and Doppo requested for Jakurai to help by using his abilities as a Hypnosis Mic holder. Jakurai first responded with, “I don’t want to use these powers outside of battle”. However, Jakurai decided to cooperate after hearing Hifumi’s desire of “rather than saving myself, I want to save my guest that was brought to the thought of ‘I want to kill’ because of loving me”. After this incident, Jakurai thought that Hifumi and Doppo were “interesting” and invited them to form a team together.

The only friend.
From childhood, Doppo always had a negative personality and his only friend was Hifumi. When Doppo is with him - regardless of whether he is in his host-mode or off-mode - Doppo is always caught up in many situations. However, Hifumi always sews up his suits whenever he tears it, and Doppo is thankful that they are friends. Because of that, when Hifumi’s life was targeted, he gave it his all to save him.
Hifumi & Jakurai
Saviour and boss?!
To Hifumi, Jakurai is his saviour and his boss. The first time Jakurai was called “aniki” was when Hifumi invited him to his host club to thank him for his help during the incident. He doesn’t have any recollection of it himself, but Jakurai displayed so much power that even the absolutely perfect host Hifumi called him “boss”. Even the always calm Jakurai, like Hifumi, has another face.

From patient to comrade.
To Doppo who has an unwell heart due to his anxieties towards the future, Jakurai acts as a warm and friendly doctor. Rather than finding a cure, it was more like life consultation sessions, and though Jakurai was having some doubts about it, Doppo was very thankful for it. Now that Jakurai and Doppo are comrades in a team together, they have a closer relationship than that of a doctor and his patient.

Psychology: Fear of Intimacy & The Being In Love With Love Syndrome
The fear of intimacy is a very common fear to have, especially when we're dating someone or looking for love for the first time after experiencing a break-up. You'll often find people that have a subconscious fear of intimacy are in love with the romanticism behind the process of falling in love. I like to call this the 'being in love with love syndrome'. These people are in love with the ideology of feeling connected to someone on every level, but on the flip side, they are also afraid of showing their true selves because it brings up too much pain. Another trait that these people have is that they have a tendency to search for their soulmate or twin flame, but then once they have found what they've been looking for, they runaway from the connection, leaving the other person in the dark. People who have a fear of intimacy also have a fear of being vulnerable, because they believe that is a sign of weakness. Infidelity and being addicted to dating and relationship hopping is very common with people who have a fear of intimacy.
They can also become codependent, needy, possessive, jealous and desperate with the people they get romantically involved with. This can also happen with people who have a fear of abandonment, betrayal and rejection, which are usually linked with fear of intimacy as well. These fears are developed in our childhood, often when our parents fail to give us love, affection, a sense of emotional security and support when we needed it the most. To overcome this destructive dynamic, you must inward and dive into your past, no matter how traumatic and painful it is for you. Your past has the answers to why you're suffering now in the present moment. Healing your inner child is the only way you can overcome the fear of intimacy and any other fears you maybe holding on to.
Your inner child and your shadow self are the roots of all fear, anger, unforgiveness, shame and guilt. On the positive side, your inner child is the home of joy, playfulness, creativity, curiosity, freedom, adventure, imagination and spontaneity. To access your inner child, you can do guided meditations and self-hypnosis sessions, as well as writing a letter to your adult self from your child self. This simple exercise can be done by writing the letter in your left hand (or right hand), the hand which you don't write with - as this engages your subconscious mind. Your projective or dominant hand, will be your adult self, as you are right now in the present moment. It's very important not to judge yourself or consciously think about what you are going to write, because when you do you're coming from a place of resistance. The idea behind this exercise is to come from a place of compassion, acceptance, understanding and fluidity.
By doing this on a regular basis, you'll start to gain insight and discover the root causes behind your fears and phobias that are attached to intimacy, relationships, sexuality and dating. It's important to remember to not to give up hope, especially when you're trying to overcome your fears about intimacy. Always have faith in yourself and believe in your own personal power, as this will improve your self confidence and self-worth in all aspects of your life, not just your love life. The fear of intimacy is easy to overcome, once you know how. Don't let the fear of intimacy stop you from experiencing the love you've always desired, you deserve better than that. You are worthy of being loved.

What Happens In Hypnotherapy
How Hypnotherapy can create real breakthroughs
By gently inviting relaxation of the physical body and the conscious mind (like a guided meditation process) which deepens the brainwaves states, allowing the bypassing the CCF analytical mind, hypnosis can easily facilitate communication with the subconscious mind to discover the root cause of problems. After therapeutic intervention and re-framing, the conditioned habitual/fear based thought patterns can be cleared and more positive ideas introduced successfully. This can be a transformational process and really help you move forwards. According to cognitive neuroscientists, we are only conscious of about 5% of our cognitive activity. 95% of brain activity is beyond conscious awareness yet affects body functions, judgements, decisions, and actions. Equally certain emotions and behaviours that we often can’t rationalize and that are not alignment with our conscious goals, or can even sometimes even sabotage health! I decided to train in Hypnotherapy after some fantastic breakthroughs. I found it so fascinating and powerful and still do, every session. It helped me shift some blockages I couldn’t consciously resolve. I had no idea just how much traumatic experiences in my childhood and even past lives were affecting me!
What can I expect in a Hypnotherapy Session?
After a complimentary consultation call 20mins or so via phone/Facetime/Skype/Zoom etc we can explore what it is you’d like to work on and how many sessions you may need. I’ll ask you to complete a pre-session questionnaire (which frees up time in the first session allowing it to be more productive). All is shared in confidence in a safe space without judgement, to best help you. When you’re ready I’ll guide you into a relaxing safe state of ‘trance’ (reached often in daydreaming, for instance being ‘in the zone’, being on autopilot navigating familiar routes etc). For around 30mins (N.B. Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy Session is 2hrs) we will work with your inner wisdom through the powerhouse and guide that is your subconscious mind (which has recorded everything and of course keeps your body functioning without reminders). You can still communicate by IMRs (finger signals) or some clients can still speak clearly enough. Your subconscious mind as your ‘protector’ will only take you where it wants to, nothing is ever forced. I hold your hand, helping you along the way to transformation, encouraging you at each step of your journey.

A (Thurs)day in the Life of a 2nd Year UoM Genetics Student
I have been busy this week, because we are in our month of labs. We now have labs three times a week for four weeks. In other weeks, these hours are empty for independent study and naps. I am suffering a severe culture shock. For that reason, I’ve decided to go with random days rather than a straight week. Apart from trying to find more time when I’m already busy, it will also mean that I can show you a day from a non-lab week as well.
I’ve also decided to include today because I feel like it’s important (for me) to be open about mental health and learning how to handle stress.
8am: I generally try to get up at 7am, but I’m feeling particularly stressed and tense this week. I’m not getting as much work done as I would like and I constantly feel like I’m missing or forgetting something, even though, when I make a list, everything is fine. Not optimal, but well within parameters. I play crush crush some more. My wrist hurts, and I’m not sure I’m having fun any more.
9am: I’ve eaten some oatmeal and left early, so I can do a bit of work before my 10am lecture. I finish typing up some notes in the neat little study cubbies outside the lecture theatre.
10am: I like developmental biology, which is one of my optionals. I also like that the professor prints off the slides for us, so I don’t have to get my own. I also like the professor. I like most professors. They are adorkable. Also, we have one who looks like Johnny Lee Miller, which is always nice.
11am: straight into labs, where we will be using light microscopes to examine the slides we’ve made over the past two days. I hate light microscopes. I can never see through both eye thingies at the same time, no matter how I adjust it. I spend an hour struggling with it and then we go to lunch. I pick up a meal deal, with some coke and cake, then go home to watch an episode of Friends and play crush crush some more before going back to fight the stupid microscope some more. I happen to live very near the university, so I can accomplish this within an hour.
1:40pm: Back to wrestling with the stupid microscope. I can see through one eye at a time (though the squinting is kind of painful), so I’m able to make some drawings. The professor tells me my drawings are wrong, but gets distracted before telling me why. I try again. They’re still wrong. I tell him about the struggles with the microscope and he suggests that maybe there is something fundamentally wrong with my eyes and I will never be able to use a microscope properly. I start to cry. The short version is; stressful, tiring week, too much caffeine and sugar, and I hate not being able to do things. The long version is, abusive/neglectful childhood in which I was not allowed to express emotions so I still struggle to express them reasonably, along with very low self-esteem, imposter syndrome which has just been confirmed by finding something I can’t do, triggering the fear that I have now reached saturation point and will never be able to do or learn anything more and the slide into failure will now begin, low sleep, high stress, and high sugar/caffeine.
The professor isn’t actually mean, just matter of fact and concerned. He suggests we go into another lab and finds me an alternative microscope with a different kind of eye-thingy. I struggle with that for a bit, then go off for a quiet ten minute cry in the toilets. I consider making myself sick, which is my stress response. The longer version is, I used to get sick a lot as a child - migraines and lactose intolerance - and I would usually feel better after throwing up, which may have caused a connection between vomiting and relief in my brain. Speaking of LI, my mother insisted I was making myself sick on purpose, force-feed me to the point of vomiting (either due to lactose or too much food) then feed me Tabasco sauce as a punishment. This would make me sick again.
In short, it’s possible that I am so attuned to this abuse that I started doing it to myself as a punishment. I realised this was a possibility a few months ago and vowed to not make myself sick again. What’s the bloody point of going no-contact if I just do it to myself?
2:30pm: I did not make myself sick. I went back to the microscope and churned out some more drawings, then we have a session on what we were supposed to have discovered. Based on this, I think my drawings were fine; if I’d had a bit more time and a bit less stress/panic, and maybe some calm answering of questions, I’d have got it. This doesn’t immediately make me feel better, but does help later. We hand in our lab books; I’m quite pleased with mine. We have the weekend to create an image based on our slides and write a figure legend; I’m confident about doing this based on the final lecture session.
3pm: I decide to go to the library to try to work for a bit rather than go home and play videogames again. Crush crush looms over me. I get a soda and some m&ms, then try to work for an hour or so, but the internet is playing up and my focus is shot, so I go home.
5pm: there is only crush crush. And maybe some other work inbetween. And episodes of Friends.
8pm: I tell my boyfriend that I’m not sure Crush Crush is even fun any more. I don’t tell him about the pain in my right wrist. My mother had surgery for carpal tunnel a few years ago, and while carpal tunnel is not actually hereditary, the narrow bone structure at the wrists which is a contributing factor is. I like my delicate wrists. That’s what my arms look like. I don’t want them to have to change. I also have a bit of a phobia of general aesthetic, and, despite having had local anaesthetic within the last few years, I, deep-down in my bones, don’t really believe it works. So I don’t want to have any kind of surgery. At this point, I delete Crush Crush. I may have deleted my progress or I may be able to get it back. I don’t want to check. I feel an instant sense of relief.
9pm: I did some work then started playing Cinderella Phenomenon, a visual novel in which you play as a cursed princess trying to break that curse by helping others to break theirs. I get the bad ending for Rod, play again making different choices (while taking notes in a spreadsheet because that’s how I roll), and then go through again picking all the good choices to finally get the good ending. While doing this, I tidied up, sorted out my stuff for tomorrow, and did my laundry.
1:30am: ...okay, it took me this long to play through Rod’s storyline. At least I’m playing this game because it’s fun and interesting and not because I feel compelled to get just a few more clicks. I go to bed and listen to a hypnosis podcast on removing anxiety. I’ve set tomorrow’s alarm to 9am, because my first lecture is at 11am. Right now, I feel like sleep and recovery are more important than waking up early.
