to answer your questions:

pretty solid! i haven’t been playing as much but i do my dailies (i want that 30 consecutive days title and then the fc grind goes until i stop having fun) i got up to master rank songs a few days ago and omg they are SO hard i always have trouble quickly reading charts with a bunch of hold notes in ‘em and “do shit with the hold notes” is basically the main gimmick so i’m getting. TURNED AROUND !!!! but it’s fun also. AND THESE EVENTS ARE BEING NICE TO ME MY GACHA LUCK IS IMPROVING !!! I’M PULLING MORE 4 STARS :D thank god for that i was gonna go crazy. i can finally start leveling non-vbs characters (almost have my birthday akito maxxed out tho… just need to get his skill up one more time <3)

i’m not fluent in any languages other than english BUT !!! i took 3 years of spanish in school and bc i live in texas i maintain enough of what i need to know to have a (very broken) conversation. i tried to learn japanese for a bit which WAS really fun but i have a hatred for duolingo and when it got to kanji i very quickly realized that there was no way in hell duolingo would be able to teach me kanji. so i haven’t been back since. i would love to properly learn japanese some day tho. and there is one more language i really wanna learn! that being german ^_^ my dad was stationed in germany when he was in the army in the 90s and it left an imprint on him so i grew up with a fair bit of german culture stuff (mostly food (i could fuck UP a bowl of saurkraut don’t even need anything else. though mustard is nice. ouugh and wurst i love german wurst)). like in my household it’s normal to say danke/bitte in place of thanks/you’re welcome. and i loveee the way german sounds. i was actually gonna take a college course on it! but uh . that was the semester i had to withdraw from </3 maybe i’ll try again tho i’ve been wanting to see what minors my school offers.

oh god dr hot takes . hmmmm. let’s see if this one works: i think a lot of western fans (americans especially) are Not Very Good at recognizing the cultural context that dr exists in. it is very much a story that is Set In Japan and western fans…. do not always get that. i think it can be fun to go “what if i viewed these characters through an american lense” (there is a reason priest au is set in the midwest. i wanted to see what they’d be like in american culture) but a lot of the time people will like… criticize the writing of the game over just. cultural misconceptions. nothing in particular is coming to mind right now for examples (which . kinda relieved i do not wish to invite discourse) but it is something i’ve seen in the fandom and i wish there were less of it. this even goes for the poor writing choices btw— like yes we can absolutely criticize kodaka for some of the writing choices/jokes he makes, but japan in 2010/2012 (my issues with v3 bias me too much to have good commentary wrt this and also iirc kodaka was less involved with the writing here) was not exactly the most progressive place. (neither was america btw but ppl don’t always like to admit that). so like one writer isn’t gonna be capable of being perfectly sensitive of everything— i doubt he even knew much about some of the things ppl criticize dangan about. am i saying he Did Nothing Wrong and everyone is being mean? no. there is some nasty shit in these games. but we gotta like. acknowledge that this was a series that started in japan in 2010, and nobody knew it was gonna take off and get translated to english. like english speakers are NOT the target audience n i feel like a lot of people forget that. the stories get so much more interesting when you consider them from a japanese cultural perspective imo. this isn’t ace attorney we can’t japanifornia it. it is Important that they are japanese because one of the main things danganronpa is is a Criticism Of The Japanese School/Work System. like it is integral. anywho i’ve rambled about that enough i think

In case the insane length of the (ongoing) Imodna supercut hasn’t truly hit people, I bring to you a little list that should put it into perspective:

So a couple months ago out of sheer boredom I looked up a bunch of duo/relationship Supercuts for CR (17 total) and compiled their lengths and put them in order by length. And even when I made it, Imodna was ahead by a LANDSLIDE, but the difference just keeps getting crazier and crazier with each new episode. And with their recent reconciliation I figured I might as well share it.

And as you can see the difference between First and Second place is insane. The Imodna supercut is nearly 4 TIMES the length of Callowpea which is holding firmly onto second place.

And yes I understand that there are a lot of confounding variables such as some Supercuts being incomplete or not fully updated, differing supercut compilers and their different ways of editing (the biggest example being the switch from LuOdara’s Imodna supercut vids to Izzylool’s in the calculation). One could also cite the Imodna supercut switching focus onto some group shenanigans during the split as a confounding variable. However with those two videos being two of the shortest in the whole playlist, adding up to a total of like an hour, it really doesn’t change much in the gran scheme of things.

Either way, this was always just a fun little project I originally made for myself, but thought I’d share today.

Additional stats/info:

- For the longest time I calculated this by mental math so I stuck to only adding minute and hours rather than seconds. But the exact time as done by a calculator is: 33 hours 13 minutes and 32 seconds, which is equal to 1993 minutes or 119,612 seconds. So the seconds I didn’t count ended up adding up to around 10 minutes.

- Callowpea’s exact time would be 10 hours 6 minutes and 57 seconds, equal to 606 minutes or 36,417 seconds.

-Beauyasha’s exact time would be 7 hours 42 minutes and 49 seconds, equal to 462 minutes or 27,769 seconds.

- I didn’t include every supercut on the list, but if anyone is curious about the rest/if a pairing is included let me know. Same goes for it anyone would be interested in an update in a couple months.

- A huge huge HUGE shoutout to every supercut creator, y’all are amazing and this post wouldn’t be anything without you. Huge respect for the effort and time you spend putting these videos together.

- And finally and most importantly: Please DO NOT use this post to hate on other people and their ships. Like I said this was just a fun little personal project that I thought was really interesting. Every single ship in this list is valid and good regardless of the length of their supercut. So as long as you enjoy them and the time they get, that’s all that matters.

I'm sure native folk of the far future will have plenty of landback and get to be connected with their homelands, but native folk spanned all the Americas. I'm sure Mechi speaks relatively regional to his tribe + how much time he spends connected to it, versus the rest of society (which, given his personality--). My mas from the south, so even though I was raised in the north, I still call her her ma (which is a bit more grown feelin than mama/momma), and slipping into her or my dads southern accents. It's especially pleasant in a long, 'But Mommaaaaaaa'. Hair style traditions also vary between tribes, but some embrace pan-indianism, meaning a lot of culture sharing in the modern era and likely future. I've taken to braiding my hair even though historically my people were more topknot oriented. | No shade on your presentation of native identity, its p tasteful, just infodump, because I didn't get to grow up In Touch with my tribe, so I've been doing studying. No need 2 post if it's hardly a question. I'll definitely send some questions.

I confess I was very nervous about trying to portray anybody who wasn't plain old caucasian white because I am very, very white, and I know that there are things I'll never understand about the experiences of being someone from another culture. I worried I'd do something wrong, but in the end, I thought it would be better to try and draw diverse people to the best of my ability and trust that if I did anything problematic or offensive, the internet would very quickly let me know in no uncertain terms.

I did a lot of research before I started drawing Mechi and planning his family and stuff. His name and all his family members' names are of Hopi origin, I believe. I saw a lot of traditional Hopi hairstyles while I was researching, and they were sooo gorgeous!! Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any RimWorld mods with traditional hairstyles, so the pawns wouldn't match any drawings I did if I used more traditional styles, which is why they all just have more generic long hair.

At the end of the day, though, RimWorld is set thousands of years in the future, and I'm pretty certain Mechi isn't even from Earth originally. He was likely born on some other urbworld. I just wanted to practice drawing people who weren't Caucasian, so I'm doing the best I can with what limited experience I have.

I do like the idea of Mechi calling Squashbug "Ma", though. Maybe he'll stick with that. It's very sweet, and easily solves my 'u' versus 'o' problem!

Sometimes, Nahyuta wonders why he bothers at all.

It's a shameful thought to be having, he knows. But even pushing that aside, it serves him no purpose, and as such it would be best banished from his mind entirely - yet it always seems to sneak back, like an insect returning to its nest.

He's done more far more harm than good in his life at this point, and as long as he continues on like this, as a prosecutor serving under Ga'ran, many more will continue to suffer because of him. But what choice does he have? In his heart, Nahyuta knows that he is selfish - but he does not want for Rayfa to suffer the way he has suffered, as the son of a criminal; a pariah of society.

So he resigns himself to his fate, and reminds himself to his usual mantras. Even if he were to rebel, he'd never have the power to stop Ga'ran's regime, so the innocent will continue to suffer either way - now with Rayfa paying the price among them. It's an obvious excuse, but it's enough to give him the motivation he needs to carry on in those moments when he thinks he can't go any further.

Yet sometimes, he thinks it would be so much easier to believe the Queen's lies. To accept her propaganda as the truth - and to finally feel as if he's fighting for a righteous cause again. Those are the thoughts that make him feel truly sick, when he has them. But no matter how much he craves to be living and not just surviving... hoping and wishing is sure to only bring more pain - so as always, there's only one thing left to do.

Let it go, and move on.

...His mind turns towards the prosecutor he's about to meet - one Klavier Gavin. Seeing him here now, Nahyuta can't help but feel his lip twist in distaste, though he doesn't know the reason. But whatever his personal feelings are, Klavier's capabilities as a prosecutor cannot be dismissed so easily.

"You must be Klavier Gavin." And so he greets him with a soft tone, a contrast to the sharpness in his eyes. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting for too long."

I ask because I'm using different stitches for certain parts of my tallit to stand out, but I'm curious how noticable it is to a relatively untrained eye, since I feel other crocheters might have a leg up over you - if you see any differences, I'm curious what you see!
