Okay I wanted to dabble in animatic making again because it has been a WHILE and I can like. Kinda actually draw a bit better now and I had a terrible idea;

In s1 they cut it CLOSEEEEE with Armageddon’t; things could’ve easily gone a lot worse. I find myself thinking about the very end if Armageddon did come around; Adam comes into power and they just know, the angels are on Earth raining down fire and brimstone, and they’re able to finally be open but only because there’s nothing else left for long.

Going off of this post, which has so many good points: I think two other things are also happening with Stede, in addition to everything else, and they have to do with his understanding of what love is.

We know that Stede's fairly intellectual and often retreats into fantasies. But he also just reads a lot, and most of his experience and understanding of love would likely be filtered through what he has read. While, yes, there was gay porn in the 18th century, and Stede would likely know about Greek attitudes to sex between men, sodomy itself was illegal and very likely, as @teeny-tiny-revenge points out, never treated as part of love or romance, but as an act (we see this in Calico Jack’s discussion of buggery). So Stede is very unlikely to associate the act of gay sex as anything to do with love.

But Stede does know about the concept of love as transcendent and courtly. We know he reads Shakespeare and fairy tales; he’s likely to read Donne, Milton, and Pope, Greek epics, and medieval romances. The point being that love, in his worldview, would be something high and passionate, something almost not of this world, and even possibly disconnected from sex entirely—which would, for him, relate to his lack of sexual desire for his wife or for women generally. I think Stede's desire to marry for love is not really about sexual desire at all, because he's not quite aware that he can feel sexual desire for men and he knows he doesn't feel it for women. It's about finding the more transcendent, courtly love that he reads about.

When he meets Ed, Stede does develop feelings. They have an immediate kinship. But Stede has also never had a close friend. What he’s experiencing with Ed, initially, is not the high-flown emotions he’d associate with literary depictions of romantic love, but something simpler—he and Ed are friends, they like being around each other, they care for each other. When Ed leaves, Stede is jealous and devastated, and he's overjoyed when Ed comes back. But none of those feelings click as romantic love until Mary tells him what love really feels like.

The other element are the two times Stede and Ed kiss, or nearly do—first on the deck in the moonlight, and then on the beach. The kiss on deck is something that doesn’t actually happen, just nearly does, and we have no scene afterwards with either of them to further parse out their emotions. Certainly Ed and Stede see it as a memorable moment in their relationship later, after both are aware of their love for each other, but at the time it's a step not taken. This seems to be more of a “love that dare not speak its name” moment, that neither of them are yet willing or able to put a label on. However it’s of note that when Stede remembers it, he doesn’t remember the near kiss—he remembers putting the silk in Ed’s pocket. And that act is one that he would understand as deeply intimate, a chaste physical touch (and exchanged of a beloved object) that could be associated with courtly love.

The kiss on the beach is the start of Stede’s awakening to his sexuality. But again, there is a small move there between friendship and romantic love, and the kiss is not expressive of intense passions. What both Ed and Stede are able to articulate is simple happiness. One could even argue that neither of them are fully aware of the depth of their romantic and sexual feelings at that point—Ed because he’s felt sexual attraction but never really paired that with love, Stede because he’s never felt either.

So I don't think that Stede is fully aware of his sexuality as sexuality, not until Mary puts it into clearer terms for him—his love for Ed may be friendship, it may be more chaste, transcendent love, but he's not yet tied those feelings to the reality that he can desire Ed.

Thoughts on the replacement Emmet (?) thing...

-For Spice+Emmet, I think their relationship would be pretty rough for a while. Emmet gets FURIOUS whenever Spice uses Ingo's face to be a bastard and is generally very easy to fuck with </3

-I think Spice would eventually just be impressed by Emmet's dedication to catching the legendaries and slowly stop messing with him. Eventually they'd kinda be buddies b/c Spice starts helping Emmet do stuff <3

-Spice actually ends up enjoying battling & learning new moves. I imagine Emmet would invite Spice to come back home with him after he spends so long actively helping Emmet get home

-For Sugar+Ingo... I think Ingo would be very very depressed, believing he failed Emmet as an older brother and chased Emmet away by not being outwardly affectionate enough/being more focused on work than his brother. As a result ends up getting Sugar and makes her as comfortable as possible, desperately trying not to take her for granted.

-Would eventually realize after being confronted that he's been wallowing in his own misery and that in his situation, Emmet would never give up looking for him--> leading to him researching Emmet's disappearance and eventually flying to Sinnoh to track down a legendary that can reunite them

The problem with being crazy (or mad) is that a lot of shitty people will hear you explain how you can't help doing certain things (because of your mental illness) and still get pissed or nasty when you do those things, while simultaneously blaming random things you do (or even opinions you have) on you being crazy (derogatory). Not only are the symptoms of your madness simply a character failing but also, everything you do that they don't like is a symptom of your madness and thus, bad [wrong].

This is my take on how the scenes would go if Drakken and Ron are controlled by emotions. Generally, I think that both of their skills shine more when they have confidence and let it loose (especially Ron).

For example, Ron’s charisma will increase along with skills like crafting and being the Jack of all trades. Drakken will be able to create his inventions a lot faster due to heighten emotions. His decision making is stronger but may execute them recklessly.

In Love:

Ron has all the confidence that he rarely shows, and directs it at Kim, only her. Every move he makes to woo Kim chips away her barrier of resistance. Ron would continue to show the puppy love affection, including physical touch (hugs galore). Ron asks her to the parade festival, convincing her with flowers.

Drakken goes full The way of the Househusband mode: cooking, cleaning, and showering Shego with gifts and affection every chance he gets. Heck, he’ll even make new gadgets just to benefit Shego in any way. Shego is weirded out by his behavior but inwardly crumbles at his affections. However, she gets concerned when Drakken gradually loses his ambitions to take over the world, which she didn’t want him to lose that. Well maybe a bit more love time wouldn’t hurt as Drakken begs her to go with him to the parade as a date. (He gave her the pout and dinner)

At the Parade:

Shego of course agreed to the festival date for fun. After overhearing about the moodulator she wants to get it to break Drakken out of control and get back to evil ambitions OR perhaps control Drakken for herself and make things easier.

She decided to use the E.M.A on the moodulator (even tho she has no idea how it works but she’ll try it) after eavesdropping on Kim and the Inventor. But girlie doesn’t know shit about inventions so she accidentally charged the moodulator to extreme anger

Extremely angry Drakken… bites. ha r d.

yeah he wrecks havoc and she loves the power he shows but he lacks the direction he had in the first place. So Shego ultimately tries to shut him down from being a mindless zombie

Shego had to use her upmost ability to shut Drakken down and not destroy himself at the parade. So at the end, she puts a muzzle on him after dragging him out of the scene. Then perhaps an aggressive kiss sets Drakken on a sudden emotional overdrive that broke the chip, which set him free from the moodulator.

In my take of Kim trying to reject Ron is that she feels he’s been a bit off and not truly himself. Like she loves the affection but the sudden bursts of emotions during the whole time makes her suspicious. Therefore Kim tried rejecting Ron at the festival

but then right as Kim tried to tell Ron her suspicions, the moodulator changes and angry Ron misunderstands the rejection and yeah…

Kim found out about the moodulator… and internally was torn about whether or not Ron’s emphasized feelings were genuine.

Ron channels his anger on not being enough for Kim and explodes with monkey kung fu, wrecking havoc at the parade. (I noticed that Ron gets the powers when his emotions take over him)

And of course kim isn’t going to be a sitting duck so she gets back with her martial art skills. They had a battle similar to what Hiro and Kim had in the exchange ep. Lowkey Kim finds it attractive of him fighting like that.

The chip breaks after they come at a draw in the fight. Ron panicked after realizing what he did to Kim and frantically apologizes but Kim kept the conversation playful to cover up the awkward confrontations until SO THE DRAMA MOVIE

man I know I'm a remus kinnie but Patton has some shit going on too. imagine no matter how hard u try to be a good person and live up to the expectations society and the people around you have for you, you can't do it. you keep making mistakes. you keep fucking it up. You're trying to be good, to make everyone happy. everyone expect you to be the good one, the upbeat one, so you push down your emotions because you think that's what's needed. You try to connect with the loner of the group but find that he's uncomfortable with the soft epithets you give him, so you try to fix that and be better. And you do become friends! and the rest of your friends accept him.

And then you fuck up making an important decision, because the rest of the group looks to you as their guiding force. And you make the wrong choice. And now your falling apart, trying desperately to convince yourself that you're still good at your job, that you can still do good things. but the pressure keeps mounting. and people keep asking questions you don't know the answer to.

And then you snap and unleash those emotions that have built up and pressurized inside you. And the people you love get hurt. And it's all your fault. And the guy you've been fighting with, who was probably the hardest on some of your decisions tells you your not the bad guy, that you need to ease off the brakes, and he'll handle things for a short while.

And you think maybe you want to be friends with this outcast as well.

The Elevator Parallels of Good Omens

The coloring of each scene matched their respective characters. Crowley and Muriel on the green side and the Metatron with Aziraphale on the silver side.

Crowley’s Perspective: He is on the right side of the elevator. He is looking at Muriel who is on the left. They are also in a shadow and Crowley is in the light. Crowley is wearing black. He is being “arrested.” He is going willingly to Heaven. He is going to look for information and presumably bring angels as back up. He has manipulated Muriel into taking him to Heaven so that he can save Aziraphale and the bookshop. This also happens in the evening and the middle of the night. Time seems to move differently on Earth versus Heaven. It’s early morning by the time that Crowley comes back to Earth even though it looks like night when he leaves. This also could be due to the demons messing with the atmosphere.

The Metatron’s Perspective: He is on the left side of the elevator, partially in shadow. He is looking at Aziraphale who is only partially covered in shadow and on his right. He is wearing all black. He is the one bringing Aziraphale to Heaven. It is early morning.

The Metatron and Crowley’s similarities: Besides the where they are standing and their clothing, both of them are high-ranking individuals(at least one of them, Crowley seems like he might be high ranking but that hasn’t been confirmed in the show. He might just know stuff because he’s nosey.:-) who are entering Heaven with a “naive” angel. They both have more knowledge than the angels in front of them. Crowley manipulates Muriel to get into Heaven. The Metatron seems to be manipulating Aziraphale as well, but here’s where they start to differ.

Muriel does not really understand what is happening. They are shown to be easily manipulated by a higher power, but they also think that they could be doing the right thing. They like Aziraphale and they don’t understand exactly how he is a “traitor.” Most of this shows how they are learning and changing from being on Earth with humanity and specifically Crowley and Aziraphale. They’re so excited when someone “acknowledges” that they’re doing a good job. A big part of this is because they have been by themself for centuries or longer. They didn’t have a lot of chances for social interaction so they’re not great at it.

The Metatron manipulates Aziraphale into taking the offer that he presents. This assumes that Aziraphale does not understand the choices at hand, but he does. He has been on Earth around humans who are known for being manipulative for 6000 years. His job has been to steer those particular humans into being better for a very long time. Aziraphale's best friend is the demon who is literally known for teaching humanity how to manipulate. I think that he would know when he is being manipulated and very obviously threatened. Especially after the 1940s incident.

I theorize that the shadows are showing how much they know about the situation they are in/going into. Crowley is covered in light, because he knows that he is walking into a very dangerous place to obtain information that itself is dangerous. It also shows that he is really curious. He wants to bring wriggling things into the light with him. Muriel is in pure shadow, because they do not know what is going on, and they’re scared which makes it harder to be curious. The Metatron is in partial light. He knows everything about Heaven and his plan, but he is underestimating Aziraphale specifically in this moment. He is curious what Aziraphale will do, but he’s being cautious. Aziraphale is in both shadow and light with leaves making it “holes” like holes in his knowledge. He does not have all of the Metatron’s knowledge of the situation nor do we. However, Aziraphale does know what it is like working for Heaven and how the angels can be. He had just learned about the Book of Life(and the owner) then the Metatron takes him away and gives him a thinly veiled threat. Aziraphale chooses to go believing that he can change things as Supreme Archangel(trying to convince Crowley because he thinks it would be safer if they’re together and he loves him). After, he learns about the Second Coming. Now, he’s got to stop another Armaggedon and maybe a revolution would help
