i'm not posting on the official @ourownsidefund account but on a personal note as an organizer i actually genuinely cried today when i saw the gofundme email and saw the absolute outpour of love from the past rough few days.

in conjunction with the 938 USD raised and directly donated to Take Back the Night from our auction, we have not just met but surpassed our goal of 3k by almost 400 additional dollars in a singular day (i think when I checked earlier this morning we were only at around 60% of the initial goal???)

I'll totally be making an announcement and thank you of a much more thought out and professional scale on our actual accounts later but genuinely. this community and fandom is so so so so so so sososossoosososos wonderful unlike anything i've ever seen before. don't ever stop being yall <3

i dont think people understand what aziraphale’s “i forgive you” really means.

theres a few parts to this. the first being the more obvious. aziraphale was saying i forgive u to crowley for leaving, right? no. it goes so much deeper than that.

aziraphale is an angel. an angel of HEAVEN. he quite literally has religious trauma. in his mind, he had just sinned (kissing crowley). he was REPENTING. he was doing what he thought of as his acts of service, using forgiveness to make up for his sin.

another reason could be he was repenting for crowley. crowley is a sinner. crowley has always and will always be a sinner. in aziraphale’s mind, especially with his new role in Heaven, he could help crowley by forgiving him. hell, he knew crowley wasn’t going to apologize for his sins. he was giving crowley one last chance to go with him.

ANOTHER POINT!!! (:3) as much as crowley has never believed it, aziraphale knows her better than anyone else in the universe. he knows the front crowley puts on, and what is happening underneath. above all else, he sees the absolute goodness in them. now, crowley always saw this as a bad thing. crowley always saw it as aziraphale still treating him like an angel. to aziraphale it is the most absolutr form of her love for crowley. he is saying “i know you. i know you dont think i know you, and i know you dont think i care. but i do. and i want you, but im not allowed to. i love you anyway”. this is exactly what this statement of forgiveness is. he is saying “i know you, crowley. i know you dont think i love you, but i do. i just dont know how to. i know you, and i know you are not the villian here”.

adding onto the last point, it is his declaration of love. he is trying to reach out, but he cant move his hands. he WANTED to kiss crowley, of COURSE he did. but really, they were just scared. (again, she is trying to forgive HERSELF.)

but then we learn in s2 that aziraphale did at least one other dance earlier !

so what i'm wondering is,, how did it even start? like did aziraphale go "gosh I'm really sorry fr 🥺😬 allow me to prove it with this incredibly human ritual no angel has ever tried before"? or did crowley go "oh, how to make me feel better you ask? do a little dance go on 😈🐍🥰"?

anyway the point is crowley canonically got to see aziraphale dance for that very first time !

1650: the first time an angel ever danced, and it was to apologize for some silly dumbfuckery so his demon spouse would drop the pout & join him for lunch
