Successful Hunt in Heaven | React | Spoilers | Full Summary

Alright ya'll here I am.

And it's bad news from me.

I...did not particularly enjoy the story whatsoever.

TLDR if you don't wanna read my entire react: Don't waste your seals, just wait the three months

Now, some of ya'll may like it cause you're that big of a Satan stan, but he has a ship with my OC and a fankid and I'm STILL shaking my head at this. Like why ya'll do him like this, PB?

What I will do different for this react is, basically bullet summary as most of this card is what it is and then give ya'll some highlight screenshots that I found mildly amusing.

What goes down from the prologue(part 1):

MC is feeling cocky about being in Gabriel's body and almost fucks it up but saves themselves. Because of that cockiness though, they are literally just brain mush the entire story.

Things to note, that Satan was in restraints, those restraints were tight but not tight enough to where he could still speak and move enough. He was cussin' MC out ya'll like how he should cause he hates Gabriel.

I would want to say that this is a good revenge potential but it wasn't. Essentially MC didn't disclose that it was them who was disguised. The entire time Satan believed it was Gabriel who was touching him, jacking him off, and allowing lower angels to touch his dick. Even if it's just the tip.

MC even went as far as to punch him in the stomach? Punched him good until he was close to coming.

MC wanted to take off the chastity belt, which to me? Nah. You wouldn't even know how to use Gabriel's dick, let's not. Couldn't even properly cum or jack off.

Turns out though that Gabriel is not conscious this entire time. He has no idea what's happening.

Long story short, Satan is getting molested, punched, and traumatized in front of an audience thinking he had feelings for Gabriel and that's why he was aroused and reacting. I don't even feel like the specifics here because it was just that rushed and bland of writing for this. What happens in the end, mind you this is very last part of the story. Satan finally realizes it's MC. The spell breaks, they go home on his motorcycle, and he only went there because there was an angel with MC's hair color.

Ya'll. Satan is not that fucking dumb. Sorry not sorry, but like he can be a goof ball, but he'd never mistake an angel for MC in his entire life time. That wasn't Satan, that was his lost twin Sam or something.

What I expected:

I honestly thought this was going to be similar to Levi's story. Satan got captured due to being weakened by something, perhaps a new trap the angels set up, the restraints being so good he couldn't escape, and he and MC roleplaying in front of the angels and they get so lost in it that's what breaks the spell.

I wanted Satan to be like "MC looks like Gabriel, which pisses me the fuck off but I know it's them so I'm fucking horny as hell and I just want to feel good. This is how it would feel being teased and licked by an angel..."

But nope. Got MC being badly written, pretty much going in on Satan and playing into their own weird kink of pretending to be a high rank angel while punching, and jacking off Satan. There wasn't really any point to it half the time, if Satan hadn't of clocked them in the end, he would have never known it was them at all even though MC was being very sloppy on acting like how Gabriel would torture someone.

Good Parts:

Satan's expressions, and Satan cussing MC out thinking that they are Gabriel.

Satan questioning his attraction, he just can't place why "Gabriel's" touch is arousing him and he can't understand why this angel he hates so much looks so turned on by this moment.

Satan pretty much saying at the end that he's going to go in on MC's ass when they get home. Like I'm pretty sure all holes will be s o r e because MC insulted him, punched him, slapped him, choked him, made him cum forcefully like three times from both dick and horns.

Satan's dick looked pretty in the position he was in and I liked his little red underwear. Click here for the goodies~

The okay?? why?? parts:

MC allowing the angels to touch him. Gabriel for one if he was in character would never allow them to touch his "prey". Like? What and who was this for?

Satan not being able to tell who it was for the majority of the story. He's a King tbh, so he should have seen through the spell.

Satan being a dummy dum and getting himself kidnapped because he thought MC was captured by mistaking an ANGEL that looks nothing like them....

Being robbed of the Satan's potential in the roleplay scenario. Imagine if you will-

Satan knowing that it's MC, and he's trying so hard to make it believable that he doesn't like any of what's going on. At the same time, MC is doing an impersonation of Gabriel so well he can't help but get upset. Why is MC so good at this? Do they actually like Gabriel enough to mimic him? Fuck that. And fuck being kidnapped and in these restraints. He wants MC so badly. To pull off that charade and to get fucked so deep there's nothing but rage flowing from the both of them. And did he really find some attraction to the angel? FUCK THAT. What a stupid thought, so stupid it pisses him off too. Only MC can make him feel a series of rage and jealously swirled so deliciously he wants nothing but that in his veins.

MC's personality being even more unsavory than usual. If ya'll compared to how they act in Levi's torture card you'd swear they were just suddenly taking on some odd sadistic personality that has nothing to do with them nor Gabriel. Er'body was confused.

The audience, the angels, Satan, just...lol

Like...idk ya'll the fourth Satan card was just a let down. The other three he has were so much better. Even the adore mode was ass. I wanted to see him moving, cussin' and spitting. The VA put his entire foot in this and it doesn't match Satan's energy in secret club at all. Might as well just play it on SFW mode if you wanna hear his VA moan some fierce in your ear.

Nice homage to Hellraiser, could have used a cooler name imo but OH WELL. Pinhead would be shaking his head rn.

NOW don't get me wrong, some of ya'll may like this. And if you do, please don't @ me or come for me as it's not that serious. I was frankly bored ya'll. IMO It's not worth wasting your seals just wait for it to be available in the regular banner. My expectations for how Satan would react in this moment was downplayed. Even if I felt like shipping the angels with the kings, this just didn't hit.

Date Story/Chat Summary:

This time around Satan sustained more damage and the marks left behind are staying longer than usual. Sitri thinks this is a problem, Satan don't give a shit because MC gave them to him.

Satan getting jealous of MC requesting him to get healed because he thinks they learned it from another healing devil is cute.

He's very cuddly, we knew this but it's just nice to see this again.

MC and Satan have a talk about what happened up in Heaven and well it's also nice to see him be serious about his feelings and how MC should feel, etc. Mature Satan is mature.

He can smell when MC is horny btw. Idk this is so hot of him. But I also always had a HC that all devils could smell just about anything. When your cycle is coming, ovulation, other bodily things.

He likes the fact that MC was confident enough to insult him so boldly even though he pointed out they were in Gabriel's body.

He can't stand it that Paimon sews his decapitated teddy bear heads, the cotton is supposed to leak. At the same time he likes that Paimon adds sparkly beads for the eyes so it looks like they "glow"

His hand are so pretty with those sharp nails.

I love babies, so i wanna talk about beasty babies!

Riddle is a headgehog creature in my mind, so I’m picturing him helping his baby through the itchies of growing in their quills since they’re not born with them (thank goodness!) taking a bristle brush and helping scratch their little backs so gently, and the lotions do they don’t end up with any irritations! Once the baby has their quills fully grown in he calms down, but until then he’s a nervous wreck!

I can only see Trey as a centaur since a friend said it, so picture a half centaur baby, maybe just the two legs like a faun. Since they’re half human I feel they would take longer to walk and run and stuff, but they would sit up super fast. Trey and his family keep trying to help baby stand when they’re still too little and he’s such a worried papa!

Leona is like « I’m not a kid person, I don’t wanna be a dad » as he’s playing tea party with his cubs. No more than two, honestly wanted only one but somehow ended with twins. Tries to lick them but they always cry cause his tounge hurts! But eventually they try to lick him and his heart melts.

Jack is petrified during every moment of his child’s life, that one who is like « don’t climb that! Be careful! I CANT look ! » wants to bubble wrap all of his pups up so none can get hurt! And don’t get him started on shots! He can’t be in the room with them during, so good luck to you!

Azul probably doesn’t have kids till a bit later than everyone else, so he’s atleast got a lot of second hand knowledge, that all goes out the window when his babe is born. That baby has him wrapped around each tiny tentacle! He’s still a big powerful boss man, but he’s very strict now on coming home on time to be the soft sweet daddy man he is also meant to be.

I feel the twins stay so close their own kids think they’re actually siblings! They call the other dad « uncle daddy » and it’s a tight knit group! Floyd always is there with a game, or roughhousing to get any excessive energy out, while Jade is there to help with mental stimulation with board games, or reading! Family hikes/swims become weekly activities, and the kids all love it. It also gives the other parents a break from the gaggle of children (that includes the Leech twins!)

Kalim is a cockatoo harpy, so happy and excited to be here! His baby and him sing from birth, or…Kalim says they’re singing but really they’re just babbling back to him. I think Kalim ends up only having one or two kids, he remembers not seeing his parents much, and how he never got to know all of his siblings that well and how even though it was a full house, he was lonely. He wants to give his all to a few babies, since he’s grown up quite a bit now.

Jamil doesn’t want kids unless he’s free, so he and Azul both end up having kids a bit later. Only after he’s free, and gone through enough therapy to start speaking with Kalim again will he think of having kids. He and Kalim are on speaking terms, but Jamil is still keeping his distance, until the babies are born, then he’s calling Kalim every two minutes to ask questions, completely forgetting that Kalim is a different species! Naga Jamil for life! Bet his babies all inherited his beautiful hair.

Idia also seems like he has to warm up to kids, but he remembers how much he loved hanging with Ortho and wants to provide that for some kids. He ends up adopting I bet cause he doesn’t want to pass his flame hair down, adopts a pair of siblings, who torment him day in and day out. But he loves them! And besides, he has enough legs to hug you, Ortho and those two with some to spare!

Malleus is ready for babies the second you say hello to him, he’s down bad! Wants atleast two since he was lonely as a kid. Since he’s king now, he does have to keep up airs sometimes, but his kids know when he is King Draconia of Briar Valley vs King Daddy of PillowFort Land! I bet they sneak into cabinet meetings and sometimes you can hear a small giggle, or see the movement of the table cloth, but by the end they’re all asleep, snuggled up on papa Malleus’s tail.

Lilia could take or leave kids, but if he had to choose he would want to adopt again! Ends up basically running an orphanage, full of laughter and smiles. Really it’s more of a foster home since he does try to find better families for them, but while they’re with him they’re all family! How he can handle 50+ kids, be close with them all, have all of their likes, dislikes, hobbies, friends, teachers, enemies and everything else memorized you’ll never know. He loves all the kids, and helps them grow into their best selves! Many still return to hang out and catch up after they’ve left the home and he always gets a bit teary eyed seeing them go, but he’s so proud of them!

Sebek has one child, a spit fire from birth! An angry baby who yells right back at Sebek whenever he tries to scold them. Says yucky to Sebek’s Malleus painting and Sebek cries in the corner. Eventually the kid gets over the terrible toddler years, but still a stubborn kid, who only listens to their other parent! Sebek and his kid are fighting for your affection 24/7 including back stabbing, black mailing, and somehow a glitter bomb.

I like a lot of these, I think with the getting shots thing though Jack has to leave the room cuz he's unintentionally scaring the doctor and growls at doc if the kid makes a sound of pain/cries during.

How they would comfort you

Jack Sparrow:

• Jack Sparrow has a habit of trying to fix problems on his own, and when he wanted to fix whatever had you bothered, you ask him not to, that the best thing he can do for you is just to remain by your side, so he obliges

• Jack will try to get an image of how you’re feeling, but it’s a challenge when it comes to reading body language rather than hear it through words

• Jack isn’t very good at reading others, even you. You always have to tell him, which you honestly didn’t mind doing.

• Jack never was good at offering good advice once you’ve finished telling him. By doing this, Jack seems to be a good listener.

• He offers physical affection, his actions are stronger than words when it comes to you and sometimes that was better, all you need to see that everything is okay and will work out in the end

• Physical affection would include running his fingers lightly through your hair, and that often did the trick in making you feel so relaxed that you begin to doze off

• The next step in physical affection would be taking you into his sleeping quarters and the both of you would be cuddling as he continues to comfort you

• Pulls you close to him

• Promising you in a hushed tone that he would always be there for you

• Once you begin to feel better, you begin to speak

• “Can we stay like this for a little while? It’s nice.”

• Jack would release a small laugh as he agrees to your request

• He loves you to pieces and hated it to see that something has bothered you so much

• Jack had a way of making it all seem not so bad

Hector Barbossa:

• To see you so upset, the very first thing that Barbossa would often think you were upset because of something he has done

• It took a lot for him to finally ask you if it was anything he did and would try to comfort you with apologies before giving you the chance to explain what was going on

• Once you confirmed it had nothing to do with anything he had done, it was a huge relief for him as he tries to help you through whatever was troubling

• Unlike Jack Sparrow, he uses words as a tool for comforting you, he’ll say the sweetest things to you, in which you know he is very sincere and is true to them, no matter how long in time

• “I’m glad you came into my life.” he would say, causing you to blush

• Upon seeing that, he waited until you were ready to tell him what was going on that made you upset

• When you did tell him, he pulls you in his embrace and pulls you close while you continue on telling him

• “I’m here for you.” is how it all starts, and you think it’s the best place to start.

• sometimes he will try and tell you stories from his past adventures

• Your favorite ones to hear about are the ones about Jack Sparrow

• Whenever you feel this way, Barbossa would know how to take care of you and help you to feel better

• He often doesn’t say it, but in this case, he said it again, almost as if he was taking back in time where the two of you confessed feelings for each other

• “I love you, so much.” he would say, followed by your own feelings for him.

• “I love you, too.”

Davy Jones:

• It doesn’t take long for Davy to pick up on the fact that something was wrong, or that something seemed to have upset you and he was determined to get to the bottom of it and find out

• One of the signs he picked up on was the fact that your ability to remember things had seemed to gone out the window

• Next, if you have messed up just the slightest, no matter how small, you seemed to get easily irritated and even close to very emotional, which is very unlike you

• The last part of it was you have suddenly fallen ill, even though the day before you were perfectly healthy

• Of course, Davy didn’t want to find out just by asking so at first, he asks some of the most trusted crew mates to look after you and report back to him if they notice anything

• When that didn’t work, he had no choice but to come right out and ask you, and he worried that it would upset you

• It did a little in the beginning, but you don’t spill everything out at once. So every night as you’re recovering, he comes to visit and you just take baby steps in telling him everything. During that time spent together, you’ve become closer as he gets to know you better

• After learning what’s going on, Davy’s soft spot for you only grew, as he now isn’t afraid to spare you the treatment in front of everyone from now on

• Comfort shows more from his actions than words, but he’s very good at it

• A couple of times, you’ve noticed Davy keeping an eye on you if you’re not close by, he just wants to make sure you’re not in any kind of danger, keeping you safe from harm

• The crew now respects you a little more than they have before

Will Turner:

• If you’re upset about something, it’s easy for him to tell, it’s nearly impossible to hide anything from Will

• He knows just by simply holding your hand brings you calm and comfort, so you’re often seen around holding his hand

• If you have to part ways for even just a few seconds or minutes, he’s always reluctant to leave your side, even with knowing you’d still be there when he returns to you, almost like he never left for a brief moment

• “Don’t go where I can’t follow!” he’d say, but that would be when you go off on your own a little bit

• Hearing Will say that never failed to bring a smile to your face. Upon your return, Will sometimes is overly dramatic with greetings. Usually he greets you with a hug that tells you he thought he’d never see you again.

• You don’t complain, you return the hug before going off with him

• Will was very protective of you, especially during those times you would get upset and often, he would think it was because of something he had done

• “Don’t lie for me, (Y/n).” he’d say.

• You were always truthful with him

• You both work together on looking for ways to get rid of whatever it was that was making you so upset

James Norrington:

• No matter how hard you may try, it was just too easy for James to pick up on the scent that you were very bothered by something

• Once it was confirmed, he would ask you what it was, nearly demanding answers from you

• However, seeing as upset as you were once he started asking, he allowed for you to take all the time in the world that was required of your need to compose yourself just enough to at least.m tell him what was going on

• He refused to leave your side once he knows and tries his best to comfort you in ways he believed would bring you comfort

• And it worked

• You’re hardly leaving his side and he’s hardly ever letting you go out of his sight

• Unlike some, James Norrington was very understanding and sincerely cared

• From than on, he wasn’t afraid to put you first before anything else

• Even though it may have gotten him in trouble a few times, he continued and didn’t care about the trouble it got him in

• You would ask for him to worry about you later, but he wasn’t having it

• “Not a chance in the world.” he’d say.

• Which only made you fall in love with him even more

• It was those awful nightmares that was bothering you, they seemed to never have any plans on ever going away

• If anything, they got worse each time you had one

• One night, you had a real bad one, one that made you scream and thrash around in your sleep

• Of course, that woke James up and he comes to your aid as he begins comforting you

• “I heard you screaming again, is it the nightmares?”

• You nod as you feel like you couldn’t breathe and that’s when James started his mission to comfort you back to sleep

• “Hey, just look at me. Breathe.”

• You did and soon, you started feeling better and laid back down to go back to sleep.

• Just as you were about to enter sleep, you were awakened a short minute at the feel of James Norrington’s hand in yours

• “Hold my hand. You’re going to be fine.”

• “I could use a hug.” you say sleepily.

• The last thing you remember before falling asleep was seeing the smile form on his lips, followed by the feel of him holding you

• Finally, a peaceful sleep takes over

Number 10. Brave And The Bold - A Silver Age inspired Joker with the Golden Age design and genuine menace. A pretty good combo if you ask me!

Number 9. 1966/Caesar Romero - He's the most iconic of the purely campy Jokers, and honestly he's just fun. I know that's not a heavy reason to like this iteration of the character, but it's true.

Number 8. Gotham - The Valeska Twins share a spot, purely because Cameron Monaghan's performance as them was so great. First there was Jerome, who was originally supposed to be a one-off possible Joker, and remained that way throughout the entire show even as he became somewhat of a Proto-Joker that was simultaneously heinous and fun. Though near the end of the show's 4th season, Jerome dies, but his twin brother Jeremiah ends up getting infected with an insanity gas that his brother cooked up, turning Jeremiah into a Golden Age inspired Proto-Joker who slowly evolves into the clown that we're more familiar with.

Number 7. The Batman 2004 - This clown offers almost everything you'd want, but they're all packed within an extremely different exterior! His bare feet, dreads that resemble a jesters hat, Kevin Michael Richardson voicing him, and just how athletic and animalistic he is make this Joker unique, even if what he brings to the table is still pure fun mixed with genuine heinousness and a bat obsession.

Number 6. Arkhamverse - Despite having that shit final boss and his bad habit of constantly overshadowing other villains, Joker in these games is an absolute blast to see and hear. Doesn't matter that he's a big bad, a secondary antagonist, or just "flirting with Batsy", he's great. It also helps that both Mark Hamill and Troy Baker do a phenomenal job at bringing him to life.

Number 5. Golden Age - Ah, Original!Joker my beloved. A scary as shit cunning sociopath with a haunting grin, clownish exterior, and a nice purple suit who just came outta nowhere. Plain, simple, yet very effective at the time.

Number 4. Nolanverse/Heath Ledger - I swear to god Heath Ledger's take on Joker is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover" because while he kinda spawned more cringeworthy and edgier Jokers (Lookin' at the New 52 & Leto), he also manages to distill the essence of the character perfectly. He's colorful yet subtle, funny yet terrifying, arrogant yet self-deprecating, brilliant yet insane, motivated to cause chaos yet feeling the need to justify that chaos to the rest of the world, hates Batman yet loves him, and he just simply exists.

Number 3. Batman 1989/Jack Nicholson - Perfect casting, perfect costume, feels like he leapt straight outta the comics and onto the big screen, and he has a near perfect origin. If only he wasn't responsible for the death of the Waynes. Still he's a phenomenal elseworlds Joker and an ICON.

Number 2. BTAS/DCAU - Forever the definitive Joker adaptation. Mark Hamill's voice was perfect for the clown, his designs are iconic, his origin being a perfect blend between "we know what he's about" and "we don't know shit," he's still funny yet terrifying, he's a chaotic artist, his toxic dynamic with Harley Quinn was perfect (which is funny since Quinn was invented FOR BTAS), his death and actual defeat were cathartic, and overall this was the Definitive Joker.

Number 1. Post-Crisis Comics - We got Joker's Five-Way Revenge, Laughing Fish, Dreadful Birthday Joker, The Killing Joke, and A Death In The Family out of this iteration of the character, all of which pretty much came to define The Joker in one way or another, for better or worse. Out of all of the reboots of DC's universe, Post-Crisis had the best Comic!Joker, and in all honestly just the best Joker in general.

Tsv chapter 7- aka the "Companies will always priorities profits over it's workers and will absolutely abuse you if given a chance" The chapter

Ok but honestly this was really hard episode to listen to. In a good way. In an excellent way even. First of all Sid!!! To be honest I didn't really care about Sid before (nothing against him) but HOLY SHIT!!!! GOOD GOD!!! HE DIDN'T FUCKING DESERVE THAT WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!

And then Vaughan!!!! Why Vaughan?!?!? Why kill my friend Vaughan :(?!?!?? I miss them already!!!

Honestly the entire Paige's section was just absolutely..... Upsetting. I don't even know why it unsettled me as much as it did, cause there were hints everywhere before this episode that even the government approved corporate divinity demanded sacrifices and was mist likely even worse, but actually listening to it was just. God.

I think the horror isn't just in people being violently and horrifically transformed into these monster, but also the fact that it is so completely normalized in this world. It's the fact that everyone is letting this happen, even encouraging and exploiting this. They don't care that the person who drives their trains has literally been fused to the seat all miserable and in pain, or the fact that the popular radio jockey that everyone listens is forced to stay awake for days and locked up in his studio as he dies painfully, or the fact that their co-workers! Their friends! Are literally sacrificed to mold into a grotesque God and then killed so the company can keep making profits it doesn't need. They don't care or if they do they don't speak up, and it's just!! God!!

Also the parallels between Paige's father and the company. How they both just keep taking and taking and taking. Give out sweet nothings and false promises and what not if you do exactly what they want you to do but will curse you if you don't do it or manage to live up to their high standards. Never actually giving a shit about you, only abuses you. And just God!

With all that said i love that scene at the end where Paige just leaves everything behind only to get kidnapped by Carpenter and Faulkner after catching them trying to jack her car. Carpenter you truly are love of my life

Overall great episode and excellent worldbuilding!!!! I wanted to punch Hopper so fucking bad!!!! Rip Vaughan, unionizing could have saved you

first up is an american werewolf in london. now THAT is a good beast. he’s spooky. he’s scary. he’s wolf-like but not Just a wolf. and they get some mega extra points for that transformation sequence. rick baker the man that you are. however as much as i love it there’s a few critiques i have to bring up. first. it’s kinda odd that so much of the color palette for the transformation scene was browns and blacks when the actual werewolf was mostly grey. the final product was a little off from the transformation. i did like both of them quite a lot though so i’m not that mad. see. look. kind of off. but it’s definitely not bad i can mostly see how one came from the other even though the colors might be a little different. it also sort of lacks in facial movement in its final form as it’s kind of stuck in that permanent snarl, but they did a good job softening its eyes in the final scene where alex is trying to get through to david. 9/10.

next up yeah i have stuff to say about the harry potter prisoner of azkaban remus lupin design. is it fuck ugly. yes. is it cgi. yes. is jk rowling responsible for it. yeah. however. is it kind of a creative take on the typical werewolf idea. i hate to say it. yes it is. it goes against the typical sorta big strong hunky beast werewolf, and i cant lie, i appreciate it. it’s unique and kinda haunting in its own way. i don’t like that it’s bald. but i like the boldness and well. they got creative. 6/10.

next i’m going back. way back. yes sir we’re looking at werewolf of london. from 1935. and the wolf man. from 1941. cause they look pretty similar and they’re both jack pierce so yeah i’m lumping them together. if you ask me these ones lean more to the side of wolfman than werewolf - they’re kind of just hairy guys. which is like fine i guess i just think they should put more emphasis on the wolf. i like the wolfman better than the werewolf of london, which makes sense, cause i know the guy playing the london one didn’t feel like sitting for makeup and so jack pierce got to do more on the second round i guess. however WHY was bela lugosi’s werewolf form a straight up wolf and not lon chaney’s? they don’t explain it. rude. they’re iconic of course but they are honestly not showstopping. 5/10.

now. i’m gonna get irritating here. next up is buffy the vampire slayer. now i love oz. i wanted to like the design i really did. and they started out off strong. well. strongER. it’s like. kinda bad. but it definitely looks like a wolf? and it’s. kind of person ish? i don’t know. they tried. the bodysuit is loose but it’s better than what’s to come so i have to give it like a tiny bit of respect. 4/10.

and it does get worse. so. let me speak. this is the worst thing i have ever seen in my entire goddamn life. that looks like a gorilla. there’s like barely any semblance of wolf on this other than that it has fur. i don’t understand why they decided to go in this direction it looks terrible. and the body suit part always looks loose as hell. it comes across as like an ugly gorilla mascot suit, and they make no effort to have it move in a remotely wolf-ish way. they usually just have it scuttling around like some sort of little freak. oz does not deserve this ugly shit. i love buffy and wanted to enjoy the werewolf episodes but lord have mercy. this sucks. whoever did this i’m gonna find you. 0/10.

Ace, Deuce and Jack 1

Summary: Jack meets the little plant nymphs Ace and Deuce for the first time. He is not impressed with them.

(Be sure to gush at me, I've been without my vitamin shakes so I need them.)

That cat you’ve yet to nickname has been visiting more often than you’d like him to. You can’t really say you’re shocked, since the state of your garden is not longer barren and wilting with your neglect. More plants means more hiding places and things to chew on. But also because that gray cat’s been eyeing your mini gardeners lately.

You would be more worried if it weren’t for the fact that Riddle can level the house if he wanted to. The only reason this cat’s been able to get on your roof and relax in your trees is cause Riddle lets him. He hasn’t done anything too bad yet, but you figured it’s only a matter of time.

Today’s looking to be a calm day, so you figured this would be the best time to introduce Jack to the backyard. He’s a little too keenly aware of territories and where they lay, so he’s been avoiding this place, though that didn’t stop him from watching through the windows. In fact, he still refuses to touch the ground. He’s on your shoulder right now, taking in the sights with his mouth agape.

Though, when you turned around to get deeper into the garden, you heard Jack’s teeth clack and a muffled bark behind them. The distraction was easy to find. It was the cat again, not really napping but not really moving from his spot in the dip of some tree roots.

“Ah, was hoping he wasn’t here…” You really didn’t want to stress Jack out, so you guess him meeting the others will have to wait another day. “Oh?”

Then, out of the bushes, burst out two little plant nymphs with too much bravado for their own good. Ace carried a big leaf with a sturdy stem, all big and glossy like those of a magnolia tree. Deuce had a leaf of his own, though this one was considerably more spiky around the edges.

With timing and coordination that can only come from life long friends, Ace and Deuce whacked the lazing cat right on the head. He did not move, only blinked very slowly once before opening his mouth and letting blue fire spill out in one steady stream, burning the leaves only.

Ace and Deuce both squealed and retreated behind your ankles.

Ace looked up at you, pointing furiously to the yawning cat. Deuce, on the other hand, was trying to climb up into your pant leg like that’ll keep him safe.

You sighed. “So, what do you think, Jack?”

Jack’s stare could not be anymore devoid of wonder as he stared down at the two nymphs that still weren’t paying attention to him. He gave a sigh of his own before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.

But he didn’t float back inside the house. No, he swept down right in front of the fire-eared cat settling down for a nap. The smoke morphed, expanding then condensing into the sharp and harsh features of a wolf’s head.

The cat stood at attention, arching his back just as the wolf’s eyes glowed gold.

The maw opened and Jack howled.

The stray yowled, scrambled up the wall and left.

You blinked. “Huh. Impressive.”

Though you know that cat’s going to be back to try his luck. He’s a stubborn one. And very arrogant. Honestly could give Leona a run for his money.

Jack puffed back to his usual form. Pride strengthen the length of his spine and shoulders, even lifting his chin up a bit as he basked in your praise and the plant nymphs jealousy and begrudging respect.

That’s certainly a first meeting.

I was rewatching S1 the other day and remembered how much of it had struck me as "huh, that seems a very… specific thing to focus on" and my foreshadowing spidey-senses started tingling back when it first aired. And then more turned up while I was watching S2.

Ones that have come to fruition:

The nose jar It got a lot of focus for a one-scene moment. Why specify that someone causing trouble would get a nose cut off and then not show someone getting punished with their nose getting cut off? Chekov's nose-jar was used in 2x01 and is a trigger point for the entire villain arc for the second season.

The recurring threats to Lucius's life Honestly, the amount of times he was threatened and harangued and nearly killed by Jim. It really would have been bad for the vibe around there, so when they 'killed' him at the end, Naaaaaaah. Didn't believe it for a moment. (Speaking of, Izzy has a similar run of near-deaths all through S2, so HMMMMMMM)

"Captain Hornigold! There's a blast from the past!" The second they brought up his name, I was ears pricked up and staring and going oooooooo, because there's no way you mention a significant figure from both pirate history and Ed's department of backstory when we know he's Captain of the good ship Daddy Issues without having a plan for one of the major male influences in his life, especially knowing the history that Hornigold takes the act and turns hunter and is instrumental in tracking down Blackbeard.

The wait staff exchange in 2x06 It seemed like lot of dialogue to not be leading somewhere. Behold, the Revenge crew as Wait staff in 2x01:D

The escalation of the British enmity We started out with Captain Badminton and levelled up to Admiral Badminton with the British as recurring villains all through the season and the thread of royal influence popping up here and there, which got me thinking next stop would be either their elder brother or someone even further up the social pecking order. Enter Ricky.

Secret passages built into the ship So I, like many others, assumed Lucius would be the dead man hiding in the walls. We were halfway right XD There was a dead man hidden in there. Twice.

We'll go to China Was left with a "why China?" vibe from that and it wouldn't stop niggling me that there was some specific reason that the writers would have chosen China of all place. Turns out if you can't go to China with your boyfriend, China will come to you and kick your ass.

Still to come:

"You saved the clippings so we can make fake heads and escape" I maintain this is the big one for S3. We have no less than 10 separate references to heads/faces being removed and fake heads. Stede even uses three different fake heads as props (rowing boat, the skull in the fuckery and the corpse head in the triple-fuckery of his death) and given Blackbeard's death famously involves his head being strung from the mast of the ship, it feels prescient.

"I thought that when I did marry, it would be for love" "Peasants marry for love" Not. Subtle :D Our man has already made himself a peasant and has his boyfriend, so he's part of the way there.

"I always hated you" Ed saying this to imaginary Hornigold has me absolutely foaming at the mouth for what the real Hornigold is like and absolutely 100% certain this is the plan for S3. As mentioned earlier Hornigold became a pirate hunter but also it would tie in with the S1 foreshadowing as well - we've had him mentioned, we've seen what he looks like, we know what he's done so the second he shows up in S3, we need no introduction. Plus Ed's processing his history so having his history roll up to hunt him down? *chefkiss* YES. And if (as I'm convinced) Stede was in the Gravy Basket like Ed in 1x04, then based on how Mary and Father Teach behaved, the way Hornigold is acting in the Gravy Basket is completely out of character, which would track since he's being pally and nice and taking care of Ed at different points. The few facts we do know from Jack and Ed's recollections include stabbing them, beating them down, treating them like dogs, the Felix story and him threatening to flay Ed's skin off and feed it to him. This means that outside of the basket he's gonna be SO. MUCH. WORSE.

Crossing the Darien Gap We got the glimpse of Zheng's crews bringing ships through the jungles across the Darien Gap and saw the queue of ships lined up on the Pacific side on the map. Ricky may have taken out the ships that were in the Republic, but that wasn't all of Zheng's fleet and he has no idea more are on the way because everyone knows no one can cross the Darien Gap. He'll never see it coming ;)

A Royal Hostage Given how petty a little bitch Ricky is, I get powerful vibes that he would be the one to specifically unleash Hornigold on Stede and Ed. Stede especially, since he's the one who recommended taking him as a hostage, and he already blames Stede for leading him a) to the Republic and b) for his nose getting the chop. Him using Daddy's fortune to settle a vendetta by privately commission a famous pirate hunter doesn't seem like a stretch.

Our spirit will outlast your whole fucking empire Izzy's definitely not gone for good. He's gonna be back and he's going to be a glorious little bitch about it :D (Supporting foreshadowy evidence: shot in the left side, indestructible little fucker who has been shot-and-believed-dead twice before, existence of the gravy basket, canonical resurrections, a known seawitch with ties to purgatory at the grave)

That isn't as true as the other boys in their lodging houses tend to make it seem. Though, they don't necessarily mind the false rumors. They hide the much darker truth. The truth that still causes Race to make the walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn in the middle of the night sometimes, even several years later. Or...It's pretty easy to form connections with someone you're forced into sharing a bed with while you're both being tortured.

Hey, if you feel like sharing... How do you choose which colors to use for your illustrations? I am just always amazed by how striking and evocative your color choices are, mixing colors and shades that I would never think to put together. What's your secret? :)

I uh, I honestly don't know how to answer though? 😅 I've just always had an eye for color I guess. I suppose I do try and pic colors I feel align with the characters in a way, with their personalities or loyalites or natures and then sort of work out from there, and then build the surrounding scenery colors to both compliment the characters but also cause them to stand out from the scenery

But I shall try to give some deeper thoughts as well, even if its just basic color choices xD

For example, Quincey was red based because those were Dracula's main colors and he was under Dracula's hold for his whole life, and also he's a vampire anyway so it works well as a visual reminder.

Lu wearing pink and blue was a good visual symbol that she both aligned with him emotionally (the pink) but was also separate by both being human and how she was raised (the blue)

And so having Arthur be in blue was a given, but also in yellows sometimes to call back to his old status as the sort of the Golden Boy of the group.

Jack gets a black pallette because he's been the most physically affected besides Mina by all this, and also it just seemed to work for him xD (I've imagined he's trying to emulated Van Helsing in both clothes and facial hair as he ages)

Mina I imagined in this as inheriting all the Weird Sisters old clothes, and just having her be a white wraith is very visually striking, and futher cements her as the opposite of Dracula, dressed in so much black.

Jonathan wears white of course, to compliment Mina, as well as to emphasize his wasted/drained state. (Also headcanon that Dracula has him wear some of his own stuff as well at first, a sort of dark twist on Dracula wearing his suit in that first summer/a mark of possession)

Werewolf by Night Issue 32

Alright first up we have the OG, the first appearance of the man we've come to know as Moon Knight. I'd like to start here so that we an see how he's grown and changed and developed over the years. Future files will probably skip around depending on which ones get decrypted first.

Anyway!

Honestly, not a bad read. Gives a little glimpse into Jack Russell and what life is like for him, but also provides us with essentially a rough draft for Marc (Mark) Spector and the character they were trying to develop. There are definitely some differences with how this version of Moon Knight is introduced, but that's the fun part!

This issue starts off with a bang! Literally. The werewolf and Moon Knight are duking it out in a New York alley.

Earlier, Jack had been on a trip with his best friend and unfortunately the full moon had other plans. Jack's friend jumped in the way as Jack went to attack a young girl named Buttons (files are unclear if that is the girls actual name or if it's a nickname). Now enters The Moon Knight. Or...more accurately Mr. Spector.

Minor detail, but one that I find humorous. The writers and editors couldn't seem to decide how to spell his first name, either with a K or a C because we see it both ways within issues 32 and 33.

Now as you can see, he might be wearing all white, but he was all about the green, taking the suit and rolling with it. Also worth noting that $10k back in 1975 is really close to $60k today. So when some weirdo "committee" asks you to put on a costume and call yourself some silly name all for $10k...you don't really say no.

This is a very different origin story than what we've come to know about this character. This version is not tied to any vengeful moon god or ancient order or anything mystical. He was just some gun for hire given an outfit and told to pretend. Very interesting origin. Could you imagine if they had kept with that?

So Marc dons the silvery/white suit and introduces himself to Jack as Moon Knight. Shortly after, the full moon works its magic on Jack causing him to flee as he transforms into the wolf causing Marc to pursue.

While Marc's name may have been inconsistent (as well as his feelings towards his hero name), one other character has been consistent since the beginning and that's...

Now we come back to the present with the fight in the alley. A crowd watches as a werewolf and some guy in a white costume tussle in an alley. The crowd stands and watches the fight for a good while before being struck with the realization...

I'm just imagining these people literally standing there slack-jawed at the fantastical brawl happening before them and this guy just suddenly comes back to consciousness like he had been woken up from a trance.

Anyway.

Jack puts up a good fight, despite his hurt hand, but Moon Knight wins out in the end thanks to his arsenal of silver weaponry, armor specifically designed to fight werewolves, and his incredible resume of skills.

The issue comes to a close as the police arrive and Moon Knight is dragging an unconscious werewolf towards the rope latter of the helicopter because, as Marc so eloquently put it,

"Payday's just around the corner, and I'd rather kill this hairy monster----than let those cops cut me off from my bread."

Yes, Marc Spector said "I'm getting that bread." I love how phrases make their way back into social vocabulary.

This is a far cry from the Moon Knight we've come to know. What he stands for, who he is, his motivations, just a different person. But, getting to know this version of the man only helps us to understand and appreciate how far he's come. This Marc is laying down the foundation for every iteration after him. He might not be the mystically endowed Fist of Vengeance, but he's no wimp either. Strength, agility, skill, marksmanship, you name it this guy has it in spades. And he would need it in order to hold his own with a werewolf who has inhuman strength and speed. The way the wolf (regrettably) cuts down his friend and really anyone who stands in way show just how powerful he is in this form, but he didn't seem to be a match for Moon Knight (who admittedly had a slight advantage with those silver weapons). Granted he did get a few good hits in, but Marc wasn't down for long. Would things have been different if the wolf's hand wasn't broken? Probably not. It might have gone on a little longer, but Moon Knight would have still come out on top, but who knows!

The small was a cute little fellow, but if he ever told him that he would never hear the end of it, as the small was as stubborn as a donkey and as prideful as a lion. Ironically enough those were two of the qualities contributing to said cuteness - the small's insistance on doing things on their own, and their unapologetic pride at managing great feats, with the context that for him those tasks were less than mundane, resulted in a weird combination of him being genuinely impressed while simultaniously finding the whole ordeal ridiculus or just deeply unserious.

Never the less, he did really appreciate the trust put in him by the small, and he found his company to be very much enjoyable - even if he tended to claim otherwise. He would never admit to it, but he worried about the small at times - when a storm caused a power outage he made it a point to spend the dark hours with him as he knew the small disliked such situations, and he could tell that the gesture was appreciated when the small agreed to let him hold him for a short while.

There was one incident that they had wordlessly agreed to never speak of, that may or may not have involved one or both of them ending up with a less than desirable amount of clothing near each other. Nothing had happened, of course, and even if he could never quite get the image of the smaller's jacked body - which he of course never saw - he would never do or say or think about it ever. After all, it's not like the small would ever be okay with it. Not that there was an it, of course, but in the hypothetical case where he was attracted to the small and revealed this fact to him, there was absolutely no chance that the small would take it well. So it was a good thing that he wasn't attracted to him, his life would be even more needlessly complicated than it was now if he was.

Bad thing that he got drunk and confessed his crush tho, and then ran away and slept outside in the pouring rain, and was taken to a hospital when someone found him, and managed to catch a chest infection in that time, and that he only got back after more than a week, and that in this time he forgot what initiated this chain of events. The small almost had a heart attack when he just showed up business as usual one day after disappearing for ten days right after confessing his love to him. He spent an abnormally long amount of time lecturing and cussing him out, and when he broke down eventually he had the audacity to ask whether something was wrong and if he was okay.

RWBY Saints of Remnant Notes: Adam Taurus, Surrogate Brother, Liberator, and former slave worker

Now given the whole grievances the RWDE tag as made about him, and looking back on him myself, I'd had figured there were two options for him, at least in my opinion

Either make him anti-villain or initial antagonist turned ally, which I have chosen for the latter. Either way, I threw out him being Blake's ex because I honestly thought it was kinda dumb and melodramatic.

Though FRWBY as I heard has done a good job tweaking that to make it work as well as Adam as a villain.

But I chose to go for something else, Adam being something of a surrogate older brother for Blake instead.

For this specific backstory, Adam is from Mistral, from a small village led by his father, a respectable Huntsman.

Now I'm trying to figure it out but with my Altered SDC and Jacques post, Arthur Gray(Watts) megacorporation GigaWatts Incorporated has outsorced work, and much like the SDC in Canon!RWBY Adam's family worked at one of their factories in the East under poor working conditions which claimed the life of his parents.

Adam much like his Canon counterpart, also worked pretty much as a slave, and his eye injury I chasing between either branding or a factory accident.

Now this draws on Fritz Lang's Metropolis which I feel like doesn't get enough love, and I will use this clip along with Metropolis when I get to post about the not-so-good doctor, his mega-corporation, and the current state of Atlas later.

But basically, Adam was emotionally drained at that point. A zombie of a young man who felt hopeless.

One day in his younger days The White Fang's Eastern Branch attacks the factories. And the one leading the charge was the current White Fang leader, a spider Faunus by the name of Rina Kumokage(first name a placeholder) and her second-in-command Sienna Kahn. Seeing them in action reinvigorated and inspired him and joined them instantly when the two offered a hand.

However, this wouldn't be the liberation that he thought it was, at least not entirely.

Rina's leadership was questionable over in the East while the other branches of the other three corners were busy, Rina seemed to be driven more by politics than the morals of common decency, and had abusive tendencies towards Adam and later on Blake whom she also took under her personal tutelage due to knowing her late father Kuroto(aka Ghira) who was a high ranking member of the White Fang.

But it wasn't all bad, for while Kumokage was a cruel teacher, Kahn on the other hand was the closest thing he had for a mother after losing his parents, and she herself was often downplayed by the current WF leader.

Soon Adam began to realize Rina saw the White Fang as a means for political power, a demagogue exploiting a legitimate cause for mercenary motives. But he wished for no outside help, for reasons I am trying to figure out, but partially the same reasons for Blake of being introverted, not to hurt those close to him.

Now for his allusion, there's always been the argument he was the beast and Blake was the Beauty

But after remembering an analysis post I can't remember where on Tumblr I figured

What if Blake and Adam were both the Beast? like a collective allusion? Which is based on my RWBY collective allusions theory but that's another post for another day.

Adam's individual allusion however is not the Bull Demon King, but Red Boy, with his late parents being The Bull Demon King(his Father) and Princess Iron Fan(his mother), both of their lessons sticking to him. So unlike his canon counterpart while his sanity may had been bent, it wasn't broken.

Now Sun in this AU is the 'Beauty' to Blake's 'Beast' and as for Adam, the ‘Beauty’ to his ‘Beast’ is and hear me out here...

Yang Xiao Long

But here's the idea

Adam as a good guy I would imagine being this grumpy kinda no-nonsense dude and something of a ham(he writes poems in his downtime) and I feel like that would compliment Yang's 'flirty party girl' personality and would play off Black Sun too

Two ships that are similar, yet different, and I just don't mean in a gender bent way.

But not only that, Yang’s role is also to mend the strained brother-sister relationship of Blake and Adam. Adam isn’t obsessed with Blake but was kinda like “Blake, what the hell?” When she left. He’s kinda pissed, but not a flat-out murderous lunatic.

And Yang being an older sibling herself can relate to Adam and talk it out with him, notably all the good things Blake has told Yang about him.

And then of course Yang does try to resort to some spicy flirting, but Adam being taught about earning the blessings of the parents and abstinence, doesn’t reciprocate the same way.

Spoiler alert, Adam is flustered by Yang’s midriff but also know it’s not good for practical purposes in her line of work. Yang notices and tries to tease him further, only for him to tickle her mercilessly to make his point, leading her to make a wardrobe upgrade for “V2”

And I’d be lying if my this was not somewhat influenced by my Catholic faith about modesty and no sex outside of marriage, but I’d think it be kinda cute and funny to ship Yang who’s flirtatious and likes to flaunt it with a very honorable and kinda traditional dude. But also Grimlock in Transformers: Fall of Cyberton which the game is also an influence for my reimagined Arthur Watts

For those not in the know-how, Fall of Cybertron due to it success had become the reboot basis for all G1-esque Transformers stories onward.

In it, Grimlock is the commander of the team and had been captured by Shockwave, who is a scientist, to be painfully experimented on which would turn them into Dinobots. Grimlock, driven by furious vengeance free's his comrades and seeks to destroy Shockwave.

Now Grimlock is still a good guy and believes defending the weak and migh-for-right, but he's bad tempered, stubborn, and headstrong really doesn't see eye-to-eye with Optimus Prime, seeing him as a weak leader and barely accepting him as leader due to the Matrix.

So it's kind of the same principle with Adam, with Watts being the 'Shockwave' to his 'Grimlock', though to be specific, Adam has a vendetta against the one running the factory he and his family worked at. Will get to him in the future.

So yeah, that's my Adam so far.

D: What’s the most personal fanfic you’ve written?

hmmmm i mean honestly a large portion of my no-reapers au exponential differentiation in general is therapy for me - the whole overarching theme of the series is "bad things happen, but there's still light in the darkness" and how the choices we make define who we are, and the primary conflict goes back to shanxi and how desolas chose to move on with his life but harper chose to dwell in his own hatred, and how that one difference has ripple effects on everyone around them. without going too far into personal stuff, it's very reflective of some shit in my own life, and the whole story is very therapeutic for me to write as it lets me examine those feelings and how i feel about the other person whom harper and co represent. other characters also provide outlets for various things, esp jack whose story arc has always been very resonant with me as a "bad" trauma survivor, so overall. yeah exdiff is my brainchild but there's also a lens for a lot of shit in my head if you look

E: What character do you identify with most?  Is there a certain fic of yours that captures these qualities particularly well?

at this point there's a good chunk of myself in quite a few of them, but i think. it's probably still saren. it's been saren for a long time. sparatus too, but saren has been pretty instrumental to a lot of my own growth as a person, especially as i fought to escape toxic social circles and rediscover myself after depression. don't let my intense love for desolas and sparky and abrudas fool you, i love all of them very much but saren. saren is me.

i see a lot of my own "bad" autistic traits in saren, and how i carry myself and hold myself and observe the world around me. obviously exdiff is going to have a lot of that, seeing as he's a deuteragonist, but i think more specifically the weight of memory is the most emblematic. he's the pov character, so we're in his head the whole fic, and it's a very meditative fic for me to write - while yes there's still things happening and connections back to the main plot happening over in itlog and what avitus is up to, but in memory we see saren detached from the main plot as he stays home and recovers from the events of broken mirror, and as he steps back and observes the day-to-day mundane life around him it's a really good character study i like to think. memory is my magnum opus in the whole series i think

for another one that isn't connected to a whole other series, there's also to catch a rabbit, aka "kryterius murder mystery," wherein he shares the pov stick with nihlus, and we both get a view of his own internal monologue as he runs through the case and an external pov from nihnih who has a lot of experience with saren's various quirks and oddities and doesn't make a big deal out of them just readily accepts them as part of who his friend is.

Y: What are your thoughts on your personal satisfaction with something you’ve written vs. the popularity of your stories?  Do you tend to be most satisfied with your most popular stories?

i mean. this is niche character and rarepair appreciation central over here.

my shepard fics/series (exdiff, bad end, jai shepard) are much more popular than most of the things i really really want people to look at - the three fics in the i'll follow you series, pre-canon desolas trauma and budding desabrudas, are honestly some of my best work (the latter two ESPECIALLY), and i'm really proud of the random <1k wordcount musing i put out like by any other name (desabrudas) and absolution (garrus/citadel dlc turian lady), and listen if i listed off all the stuff that i'm really happy with but got ignored by readers we'd be here all day listing off pretty much everything on my ao3. exdiff is my baby, my flagship series, i will always be begging people to read it cause if you want to see a big portion of my worldbuilding and character work outside the arteriuses + sparatuses and tiirtias you're gonna have to go Commit, but there is ZERO correlation between the popularity of a piece and how happy i am with it
