Gonna be honest, chief, when I first read Homestuck I might have missed a good chunk of ancestor lore because of its sheer thickness, so the ancestors aren't really all that present in my mind. But if we're talking aesthetics I guess I kinda dig Mindfang and Dualscar? Or the mother-son relationship between Dolorosa and the Signless? I've seen people do Signless x Disciple x Psiionic and that's honestly pretty good too, but yeah, nothing I actively think about!

29. Favourite fanfiction(s) of your ship(s)?

I haven't read all that many fics to begin with and I'm a picky reader, but if my 5 AO3 bookmarks are anything to go by:

- Roommate Support (davekat, comic!)

- In Which Dirk Strider Tries And Mostly Fails To Contain His Internal Dialogue, As Usual (dirkjake, but it's not really ship centered)

I wouldn't say I like it because I still don't care for it, but I used to despise gamtav with the strength of a trillion suns and now it's just... there. Character growth, y'all!

Hi, I’m Rory and I’ve decided to start getting back into writing stuff for Homestuck!

Some things to note:

-I haven’t played Friendsim or Hiveswap so I’m not familiar with those characters

-I haven’t read the epilogues so I don’t feel comfortable writing anything involving characters/events that only appear in them (so no Ult!Dirk or the new kids)

Other things I won’t write:

-Yandere or Heinoustuck (or anything involving non-con or SA)

-Anything involving active S/H or su*cide (I don’t want to potentially trigger anyone, plus I’m just not comfortable writing that kind of stuff)

Things I will write:

-headcannons/imagines/ all kinds of x reader stuff for the alpha + beta kids, as well as the trolls, dancestors, and ancestors

-romantic/red and platonic/pale relationships (potentially blackrom/auspictice as well depending on if I feel that I can write it for a specific character well enough

-poly/multiple characters in one request (just specify if it’s poly or separate for each character, with a limit of 3 characters per request)

-AUs (bloodswap, no sburb/sgrub, etc)

-trans characters (I have a soft spot for june egbert and trans strilondes, but I’m ok with writing John egbert and the strilondes as not trans too)

-Also, all characters I’m comfortable writing for are all canonically 18+ so I’m okay with writing 18+ content for them

just like, their in a match with s.o and s.o seems so giddy and happy for some reason and can't seem to sit still

(i didn't write meulin because i was having a hard time writing her and didnt want to half-ass her part,but i didn't want to leave this ask to rot because i really like it, i'm very sorry i couldn't fufill all of the characters D:)

notes: signless can be seen as platonic or romantic...i think thats it? reader has a typing quirk where they replace the letter i with '||', the letter L with "//" and they capitalize all letter e's.

Signless x human s\o

A\n: I didn’t know if you wanted poly with Disciple or something in the bubbles, but this is what I could come up with hope you enjoy.

Exhaling through his nose, he sighs, as he presses his forehead against your own. You both sat at the edge of the cave, enveloped in his cloak. As you sit on his lap you think back to when you found each other. The kindness in his eyes and the softness of his voice. He was so delicate with you at that time as you were wary of his intentions despite how his reputation already preceded him. You were so different, it was hard to believe anyone could be so accepting of you.

Now you sit, mutants to troll kind, but bonded to each other body and soul. You can hear the others from the group roam around in the back of the cave to give you privacy. Normally Disciple would be spending this time with you both, but instead was helping Dolorosa prepare for the day. So much has happened since you've both met, you can’t help but ask, “Remember when you came to me about being your matesprit?” 

A nervous laugh is quick to follow, “How could I forget? You almost knocked me unconscious in your excitement.” You turn to him with a stern look that is extinguished by a forehead kiss. “I said I was sorry like a million times.” you complain to him.

His arms tighten around you as he chuckles, “I’m only teasing, my flush. Now why do you ask?”

“I just wanted to know… Why me? I mean don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t be happier, but… You know.” He understood what you were hinting at and was rather unimpressed. Nonetheless he smiles upon you.

Signless gently raises your chin with his thumb and index finger before choosing his words carefully, “It wasn’t a tough decision to make. When I close my eyes I can see a clear vision of us. It’s what used to keep me up at night before I courted you,” he strokes your bottom lip with his thumb as mutant red pierces your bashful gaze,”you match my passion like no other,” your name is like silk on his tongue,”since the start of it, I saw you at my side, as I yours.” Signless steals a chaste kiss before he rests his head against yours as he did previously. 

If you didn’t stop him now, you were sure he’d be going on all night, “Alright alright… good answer, Sign.” you were left flustered as you failed to remember that he was a troll of both words and actions. He only laughs at how you burn up in his arms ,”I aim to please~”

“Noted.” you grumble in his neck with your arms clinging to him.

This time, Signless was the one who couldn’t help himself. He grabs your waist with both hands to pull you from him so he could begin his assault of affection, kissing every inch of your face in a rapid fire. Despite moving your hands to weakly push at his face you both dissolve in a fit of giggling and laughter. As fun as it was, a loud clearing of somebody’s throat had you both pause to look over at the back of the cave. There stood the others with varying degrees of annoyed reactions; Psiioniic being the highest. 

“Are you almost done over there?” His lisp is prominent as is his irritation.

With a more polite tone, Disciple voices her concern, “Come on mew two, it's going to be daylight soon.”

You can hear Dolorosa giggle softly as you groan before rising to your feet. Holding your hand out to him, Signless hoists himself up as well. Hand in hand you both join the others; unable to hide the lovestruck look on your faces. Psiioniic makes a bit of a show of rolling his eyes before retiring to his side of the cave along with the others. As you and Signless lay in your pathetic makeshift nest you share soft whispers of endearment and cuddle into each other. All relationships had a fair share of ups and downs, but with Signless he held such patience with you and possessed a heart full of fiery passion. Despite being human he loved you all the same and more. Like it made no difference to him in the slightest. He eventually falls asleep before you, snoring lightly. You take in his features for just a moment before cuddling deeper into him. Being with him like this made you feel safe. Never feeling the need to compare yourself to him or others. He loved you with his body and soul and you reflected from that. You shut your eyes and fall asleep to the powerful beat of his heart.

 💛 How would they confess their love to their crush?

It's less of a confession, and more like him making you aware that you are his matesprit now. There's no choice in the matter, with no space for chance of rejection or refusal. Be and his men force you upon his ship, where you are to stay by him and keep to yourself within his quarters. If it's at all possible, he'd keep you complete isolated from even the other members of his crew.

You were all his now, and he'd make sure it stayed that way.

 🤖 What do they fear the most?

Mindfang.

Dualscar knew he had gone too far, taking the life of the jade blood that the Marquise had kept to herself.

He had only done it to get back at Mindfang, but part of him knew that killing the jade was probably the most merciful thing he could do in such a situation. The jade's mind was not her own anymore, controlled by the Marquise to enact romantic fantasies. She was a passenger in her own life, trapped inside her mind as she was controlled like a puppet. What Dualscar did was merciful, especially for a seadweller, even if his intentions weren't pure.

But, with you... He's terrified of Mindfang doing the same to you. It near paralyzed him with fear. Made him hold you tighter in an embrace at the thought of losing you to her.

Never. Never. He'd never let her get the chance, would never let her hurt you. He promised.

But right now he sees you on the floor and emotion so he joins you and rests an arm over your shoulder

If you’re a horny drunk and you try to come onto him he’ll diffuse the situation by pinning you however he can in his position and whisper absolutely fucking heart-wrenching words of support and care into your ear

“I’m here for you, I’d never leave you” “I know what you’ve suffered and you shouldn’t worry about me” “I love you” “I need you”

Nothing of which he would casually slip into a conversation with you

He holds back his words when you’re sober but he unfortunately knows how much you need to hear it from him

He stays with you as long as it takes to sober you up before disappearing until you find yourself needing him again

When he approaches you you’re on the floor crying with an empty bottle in hand

He’s bloodied and fresh from an execution

His once mirthful mood sours into one that’s more uncomfortable

He can’t quite tell why he’s uncomfortable but unbeknownst to the both of you he just really cares

He unintelligently pokes a little fun at your misery but when you’re just a little too unresponsive he huddled in close the best he can before giving you a small sigh

He holds you and although he can’t find any words to comfort you verbally he just keeps you close

He can tell you’ve been on the floor too long and gathers you up into a bath

He keeps you close to the edge in case you need to puke but he does continue to hold you regardless

Afterwards you cuddle on the bed as he tries everything in his power to make you feel secure

After that he decides to keep a closer eye on you

But you’re unresponsive and he can see a few tears streaming

Your whole body must be numb because you don’t try to hide it from him

He’s not good with his words either of course but he does think it’s easier to distract you rather than talk about what’s bothering you

But it’s nice and almost familiar so you give into it lazily and cling to him

You guys obviously fuck for comfort at this point but I promise it’s not as sketchy as it sounds

Not because he’s embarrassed by you or trying to hide anything but because he knows you would rather not have anyone else see you like this or it would eat at your for literally months on end

He’s not good when it comes to you crying but he does get soft at seeing that hurt look in your eyes

He rests his forehead onto yours and lets you audibly cry for hours

You don’t even notice the amount of time that goes by but it’s such an explosive release of emotions that you never realize that you needed

You wake up on top of him completely hungover but you can’t help but notice the dark circles under his eyes as he sleeps

(Psiioniic X Reader)

        Alternia sucked. Period, end of sentence. Especially when there were somewhere between twelve to fifteen big ass bluebloods chasing after us. But hey, that was life. I'm a (B/C) troll that was far too small for my age. Ever since I was a wriggler the older trolls would shove me around because I was the easiest target. It was like that for most of my youth, until I was picked up by  small band of rebels.That small band had gotten much larger. It was a good thing sometimes, but in situations like that, not so much.

      Being so small, I'm pretty weak too. So all I could really do was run with the others. We stopped at a thickly wooded area to catch out breath. It was dark and we were surrounded by trees, so our safety seemed certain. Of course, we were very, very wrong. After a few long moments of dead silence, there was a rustle. Followed by an arrow striking an older bronze blood in the temple. Some screamed, others held young-lings closer. But the smart ones hid. In trees, in bushes, some crawling into caves. I  pulled myself through a small hole in the dirt, into the hollow trunk of a tree. I kicked more dirt towards the hole and scrunched my knees into my chest.

      More minutes past. There was silence, then loud rushing footsteps raced past my tree. Then there were screams, horrible screams. Pressing the palm of my left hand over my mouth a shakily closed my eyes. Pressing my forehead into my knee, I waited for all the noise to go away. Afraid that even one breath would give away my hiding spot. After what felt like hours of silence there was a voice, a friendly voice.

      "Hello? Ith there anyone left?"

      I breathed more openly now, crawling back out of the hole. I had planned to respond but the scene in front of me stole the words from my throat. There was no one left. A rainbow of blood was splattered upon the brush. Limp bodies resting against rocks and trees. A small girl clutching a sewn bouncebeast close to her, not letting go even in her final moments. All I had the strength to do was weakly tap upon his arm.

      "Good, thomeone can tell uth what happened here."

      I nodded, my voice refusing to be above a whisper "Yeah, I didn't see much though."

     The tall yellowblood looked me with understanding in his eyes and placed a hand on my shoulder. He began to lead me over to a clearing where three other trolls sat on logs.

     "There'th one left but the theems pretty traumatized." The yellowblood spoke to the group. There was much nodding and murmuring, I wasn't really paying attention until a motherly hand rested on my arm.

      "Come along dear, you must be exhausted." She brought me over to a small tent and stretched out her arm, "You'll have to share with Psiioniic, he's the yellowblood, if you didn't already know." I smiled at her thankfully sitting on the mat for a moment and closing my eyes.

      When the moon was once again in the dark sky, I turned to my right, noticing the other troll beside me. For several moments I observed the way his chest would rise and fall to the rhythm of his breathing. Occasionally, a shrill whistle would blow through his teeth, I lost myself in  silent observation.

      When he woke a small smile tugged at his features, "Good morning to you too."

      "Oh, uhm, I'm sorry I was just..." I sighed "Can I even talk my way out of this one."

     He shook his head and raised his hand to ruffle my hair, narrowly avoiding my horns. He pushed himself up and exited the tent, leaving me blushing on the ground. When I exited, I was greeted with the smell of cooking meat and a few gracious smiles. There was conversation but it was muffled, almost like a foggy memory. We ate and laughed until our sides burned. Then, trusting me enough to do so, the four of them brought me along with them, outside of the camp.

      The streets were packed with many bustling bodies, trying to get their afternoon shopping done as quickly as possible. The four of them pushed easily through the crowd over to a wodden box, where the shortest of the group, Signless, began to speak.

       His words about freedom and equality drew in a hefty crowd. To prevent separation Psiioniic pulled me close to his chest, wrapping his arms loosely around me. His chin rested atop my head, causing a (B/C) blush to dust my cheekbones. We remained like that for the remainder to the speech, and walking back to camp never once did our hands part.

      Back in the tent, we laid side by side. Tension building around us almost as if there was something weighing on both of us. Seemingly like clockwork our hands were entwined again as we rolled to face each other.

      "(Y/N)", he nearly whispered.

      "I know."

       For a while we laid together, unspoken feelings shared between us. His hand gently cupped one of my cheeks as I raised my head to look up at him. Bi-colored eyes stared into (B/C) ones. Our faces neared, and our lips were centimeters apart.

      My eyes open slowly, my face wet with tears. It's been nearly three sweeps since I've last seen my beloved Psiioniic. Now the poor Helmsman for the wicked queen. An older oliveblooded woman reaches out to me sympathetically, wiping my face. As I sit up and stretch, I try to force all thoughts of him out of my thinkpan. I have no time for tears tonight.

      On one of the few small breaks we are permitted I rest my head on a marble windowsill. A pink imperial ship flies over the mansion I'm trapped inside.

      "Do you think it's his." the oliveblood, Filis, asks.

      "Maybe, do you think he still thinks about me?"

      Filis sighs, knowing he couldn't possibly be thinking of much other than the excruciating pain. "I'm sure he does," she lies.

Dualscar x Reader Comfort

The very moment you can tell you look disgusting and embarrassingly psycho you feel the cold embrace of someone

“Shh, settle dowvn will ya,” Dualscar rests his face against the top of your head “I’m here for ya nowv…” you can feel a peck on your head

The way he wraps his arms around you is intended to pin your arms to your chest to keep you from hitting yourself again

Never have you felt so pathetic to be caught in one of your own self loathing spats

But deep in your being youre relieved that anyone cared enough to stop you

“What ails ya…” his voice is deep and for once sympathetic

Suddenly all the times he’s hurt you is forgotten as you cling to him and bury your face to keep from seeing that pitiful look in his eyes

Your voice hitches involuntarily as you fight yourself to tell him what you’ve been going through

What thoughts surface every second of everyday

You don’t know what compelled you to cave in and spill but regardless his reaction surprises you

Years of rejection kept you unprepared for the way he picks you up to carry you to his nest to coddle you

A part of you spikes in uproar at the thought but it’s quieted by his rugged purr; accompanied by the gentle strokes of his hand on your back

“Aye,” he whispers a pet name to you before he continues, “go on… I’ll be here all day…”

Yandere!Psiionic x Troll!Reader

You weren't anything special - at least not in the grand scheme of things. You were a lowly engineer, lucky enough to find yourself working on the same ship as Her Imperious Condescension. Not that you'd ever want to meet her, of course, lest you catch her ire by merely existing. You were raised and schoolfed to fear and respect her, like all of your kind. Some say that she could psionically tell if you had even the slightest doubt of her ruling, and would cull you on the spot.

Aiming to please and live as long as trollishly possible, you aimed to keep your head down and follow orders without question.

Your job wasn't too complicated - check to make sure the ship was fully functional, make sure the engines are all in proper shape, running diagnostics in the mechanics of the engines, the works. Though, what separated you from the rest of your fellow engineers was the special assignment you were given. 

The caretaker of The Helmsman.

Though, truthfully, it was that special. The Condesce could not be with him at all times, having courses to plan and galaxies to conquer. Every couple of wipes, a new caretaker was selected. It wasn't too unusual in of itself, but… You never expected yourself to be put in such a situation.

It was… A bit chilling, admittedly, at first. Staring up at his flashing, dual-colored eyes and his wide maw, opened in a silent scream.

Was he angry at you? You couldn't tell, or at least not for the first visits. In fact, you would have guessed he couldn't speak at all,  all of his energy most likely poured into flying the Empress' ship.

Sometimes, you'd stay longer than you should have, talking to him. You pitied the poor dear and his terrible flight. Looking back, you couldn't tell if it was a romantic pity or not,  but all you knew was that something inside you yearned to give him something to live for, something to keep him going.

At some point, he began talking to you. His real voice was hoarse and only a whisper, from both screaming and from going so long without talking. But, then you started hearing a voice in your head - him. It was simple for him to establish a telekinetic connection between you and him. He was an extremely powerful and skilled psiionic, after all.

It was nice, for a while. He told you all about his life before this, his friends that became his family, the signless' beliefs and sermons, how he got here. And in return, you shared your past, your life on Alternia, your lusus, your experiences. You could feel his warmth and yearning, so relieved to have someone to talk to after so long. You talked about anything to make up for the almost endless silence he had to endure, describing the stars and constellations, the trolls on the ship, the ship itself - turns out, he had mapped out the ship long ago, thanks to the vines that stretched throughout the vessel.

You were spending more time with him. The others had to be growing suspicious by now. You heard their whispers as you passed by in the halls, eyes always on you. It hurt you, but you had to spend less time with the Helmsman. As much as you cared for him, you wouldn't be able to visit if you were culled.

He didn't react to that well. His voice followed you out of the room now, kept you wide awake at night as he whispered sweet nothings and "I love you's" and pleads to come back. You couldn't fall asleep, and it was fucking with you. You were falling apart at the seams, soon enough, and it showed. You were always on edge, your nerves shot, looking like death itself.

And death would soon come.

But not to you.

It was your final shift schedule for taking care of the Psiionic before someone else stepped in to take your place. You hoped that he'd leave you alone and attach himself to the next troll in charge of him, but you were certain he wouldn't take the news well.

You fed him, all the while his obsessive words loudly flooded your mind - begging you to stay, to love him, he'd protect you, love you, love you so much, won't let you be hurt, just stay, just stay - so loud that you didn't notice the noise slowly growing louder. The ship began to shake and rock as the noise grew thunderous. 

You panicked, legs growing weak and buckling.  What in God's name was going on?!

You screamed as the noise drilled into your head, drowning out Psii, the ship shaking so hard that you'd swear it would come apart. You covered your ears, curling up on the ground and screwing your eyes shut.

If you hadn't, you would have heard the Psiionic roar above the noise, his eyes flashing with bright red and blue lights, a wave of dual-colored light surrounding the both of you.

When you awoke, you felt… Numb. The world felt too bright. Ringing flooded your ears, though steadily faded. As your eyes adjusted to the light, you looked around from your position. You were still in the Helmsman's room and-.

Your eyes widened, mouth dropping open. 

He… He was gone, as though he had simply torn through his binds and escaped.

Oh… Oh, God, you were going to die. The Condesce was going to fucking kill you for this.

You attempted to get up from your position, but found yourself stuck. As you tried and failed to move, feeling slowly returned to your body. Your entire body ached, but what was more was that you could feel arms around you, and something was below you, bony and thin, as though you were…

"SHHH," Psii shushed you as you whimpered and squirmed. He pulled you closer, propping you against his chest. He nuzzled you, scented you, purring softly in his throat "II'VE GOT YOU NOW. THEY'RE ALL DEAD, RED-LOVE. ALL OF THEM, EVEN THE WIITCH. II PROTECTED YOU, LIIKE II TOLD YOU II WOULD. NOW, EVERYTHING IIS PERFECT. NOW WE CAN FIINALLY BE TOGETHER, FOREVER, LIIKE II SAID WE WOULD..."
