" She'd long proven her abilities, a bright young woman. Plus, she had also been the first person that Seiroku had really started to get close to when he was first joining. She was young and determined, eager to help and learn. ( Perhaps it was the fact she reminded him of what he had once been like before hatred and suffering took hold. ) She'd been eager to learn and his expertise was undoubted - so he'd somewhat taken her under his wing. Soma knew him best, but she was a close second. It'd be more surprising if she hadn't noticed. Despite himself, a quiet laugh leaves his lips. " She was so excited once it became official. You'd think it was her wedding day. But if you mean before that, and just at the relationship, it was rather funny. Big doe eyes and trying to subtly ask little questions. Always tried to give a minute or two for just Soma and I if he came to visit. "

" As for the others... " Seiroku tilts his head. " They suspected it as well eventually. Some were sooner than others. I suppose it probably wasn't terribly hard. I think only one or two had no idea until the engagement actually happened. " Which had been hilarious and they'd certainly not lived it down when everyone saw how shocked they were. " Most were pretty happy over it. Some were a bit awkward after on how to interact since it was official. One or two weren't quite sure how to feel I think. But, they've been rather enthusiastic about it. " It was...strange to have so much support. It wasn't as though Seiroku had particularly cared except for Soma's sake and reputation on how people would receive it. He was used to the world against him. But to have that much support had suddenly made him feel warm and deeply moved in a way he hadn't expected.

i think because everyone in the family treats jason as the dumb one, he should show up at a gala and just act super bimbo. it's retaliation, okay? they all think he's below them in terms of intelligence so why shouldn't he take advantage of that?

cue jason pulling up to a wayne gala looking absolutely delectable. his curls are nice and pretty, lips looking soft and plump, cheeks naturally flushed, eyes all doe-like, lashes curled, suit literally stuck to his body and enhancing his thickness-- he looks gorgeous. the bats think, whatever, it's fine.

nope. bruce almost has a heart attack when his barely adult son walks up to a group of older men, places a gentle hand on one of their arms, and starts giggling. his barely legal son is leaning into these men, tilting his head and baring his neck just so, and putting on the most enticing smile. HIS CHILD is subtly sticking his hips out, pouting his lips, and leaning close to whisper who knows what into the ears of these leering grown men.

dick and tim do a double take when they see jason "clumsily" spill whine down the front of his suit and then begin unbuttoning his top with a ditzy, tipsy giggle of "oh no! :( would you handsome fellas mind helping me out?"

by the end of the night, jason has bruce sitting down with his head in his hands and contemplating everything.

TOP 10 PODCASTS ON AO3 BASED ON NUMBER OF FANWORKS (2013-2022)

YEAR = November 6 (or closest date to it if unavailable) of that year

To make this bar chart race, all series titles in the Other Media Category on November 6 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and manually filtered since not all podcasts were marked as such. Then I inputted all the top 10 data to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race.

Some web series like Critical Role and Dimensions 20 released audio-only versions of their works too, but I left them out since they were listed was a web series on ao3 and more known as one too. 

Similarly, radio shows which only had podcasts years after they started are not included. That means Cabin Pressure, which I accidentally added in the 2022 Top 20 ranking last week, is not included here because it was only rereleased as a podcast in 2019, and 90% of the fanworks it has now are from before 2019.

All nonfiction podcasts have also been excluded (Not that there were many), because with RPFs, it’s hard to tell if the fic in question is just based on the podcast or because of the things the person has done outside of it. 

The bar race starts on 2013 because there were no podcasts in the Other Media category before that year.

The first podcast fandom to post on Ao3 was We’re Alive on January 1, 2013, followed by The Thrilling Adventure Hour on January 27, 2013, and then Welcome to Night Vale at June 2013.

In 2014-2016, Sparks Nevada Marshal on Mars, a segment from The Thrilling Adventure Hour, was also in the top 10, but I didn’t included it since it’s not its own podcast.

TOTAL = the total fanworks of all the top 10 over the years, not the whole podcast fandom itself
