One of my pet peeves is Luz's hexide uniform, because there's 2 extra colors in the uniform that don't have any coven association, while there's 3 coven colors missing. So I tried remaking Luz's uniform to fit in as many colors as possible.

It doesn't look as nice or color coded (which is why I changed abomination's location) but I tried 😭

Tips for drawing in The Owl House style?

I'm not very good at tutorials but I'll try to give some tips with this OLD drawing and the redraw I did of it two years later as examples

The main thing to understand when drawing in the Owl House style is proportions (the main difference between these drawings)

You're gonna have to get used to drawing skinny bodies with long legs cause that's most TOH characters. A majority of the characters legs make up like half of their bodies. (Though it's more noticeable on the teens and women than the men)

You notice how their necks are too sort in the first picture? The length TOH characters necks vary depending on height, most likely for a more defined silhouette. Because the Hexide uniforms have hoods, most of the teenagers have long enough necks so their heads are visible not touching their hoods

Although not all as shorter characters have shorter necks

Meanwhile tall characters, like the adults, have longer necks. Eda (and Lilith) actually have long necks while Camila who's short has a shorter neck. Raine's is normal but still visible shorter than Eda's. Same with Luz.

Should go without saying but the wider a character's body is the wider a character's neck should be (I see alot of people draw fat characters with skinny necks). More noticeable, most of the adult men have a broad build and therefore have much wider necks compared to the women and children

Also, the witches ears are not completely pointed at the end, they're slightly rounded.

This could be easily missed, but some of the female characters (like Eda and Amity) have thicker outlines for their eyes, almost like their wearing mascara

If shading matters to you, most of the time the shading is limited to under the nose (unless they have a hooked nose), under the neck and SOMETIMES on the ears. Of course it depends on the scene and the setting.

This last point doesn't matter at all but I've noticed alot of cartoons draw blush differently. Some do solid color horizontal ovals, some do a full gradient splotch across the nose, some just do lines.

In the Owl House when most characters blush its the gradient spots on each cheek, and sometimes they do the lines thing too. Or both.

The only exception (I think) is Amity (+Alador I guess) who blushes across her whole face sometimes and Raine who reapeatly blushes on their nose/across their nose. They both also do the line thing too.

WATCHING AND DREAMING TEORY

(Spoiler from trailer!!)

In the trailer, we saw Amity, Willow, Gus and Hunter in different outfits when Collector's strings pull them up.

Amity is wearing her season 2 clothes, Willow is wearing her Hexide uniform, Gus is in his Grom suit and Hunter is in his Golden Guard armor.

It's spot on that they're wearing these clothes though.

For Amity, she started to wear red tights instead of the pink one after she shattered Odalia's necklace, so her clothes symbolizes her independence, which matters to her the most. She said Ghost only chose her when she admitted that she wanted to decide her own fate in the future.

For Willow, her Hexide uniform also makes sense. Because she used to be pretty insecure about her capabilities before. But after the "Understanding Willow", "Wing It Like Witches" and "Any Sports In The Storm" episodes, Willow truly developed her self-esteem. And all these moments were in Hexide. So the school is the place that helped Willow to gain her confidence.

For Gus, he is wearing his blue Grom suit. He wasn't specifically developed in this episode. So maybe it isn't exactly about his development? He was presenting and making the speech along with King, and also helped him to be more confident in front of a crowd. So maybe that it was one of the rare moments that Gus wasn't feeling anxious? We've seen him dealing with anxiety in season 2. So maybe the Grom was one of the few times that he didn't feel like a failure? He felt safe. And it wouldn't be surprising since he was there with all of his friends and loved ones.

And for Hunter, his Golden Guard armor was a beginning of so many things. It's what he was wearing when he met Luz who encouraged him to do the right thing and eventually led him to the better path. And of course, this was what he was wearing when he met his best friend, Flapjack... For Hunter, this suit was the beginning of his revolution against Belos, finding light, learning love and friendship. For Hunter, this suit was the start of his happiness.

So this is the symbolism that is going on with this brief scene, at least this is what I think it's about.

Also, I don't think the Hexide squad will turn into puppets... at least they won't stay like that for long.

I mean yeah, Collector's strings are pulling them up and Collector seems to have a some sort of weird obsession with puppets.

But hey!

Amity was wearing her season 2 outfit when this happened.

But her hands look like she's turned into a puppet when she was still cosplaying as Hecate.

I don't think Collector's magic will last for too long. So no need to worry! (I hope😐)

The Owl House: Hunter's Gloves

Hey! Have you noticed that, throughout Season 2 of The Owl House (and also in the last episode of Season 1), we have never ONCE seen Hunter without his gloves?

I mean, he doesn't even take them off in his own room. Not even while petting Flapjack.

You can't even justify it as him wearing it just because it's part of his Golden Guard uniform. Because even after he had run away from Belos and was hiding at Hexide...

And even after he joined the CATS rebel group, he STILL wears them (even if he wears little else from his old uniform)...

Buuuuuuuttttt, while he still wears gloves at the beginning of Thanks to Them...

After that lovely intro tho, where we KNOW quite a bit of time has passed...

LOOK!

He finally took his gloves OFF! (And, for that matter, he does not wear as many layers of clothing as he did in the previous season either, but the gloves are more noticeable.)

Now, as to why I'm making such a big deal of it...

The thing is, wearing a lot of layers, or gloves, or jackets, all the time (or even a mask all the time) is often related to anxiety and/or trauma. Wearing heavy clothes (or layers), or covering yourself up as much as possible, can help give a sense of safety when you don't feel safe (think of what a weighted blanket does for anxiety and then imagine how it would feel to wear one all the time).

For some, it's like being encased in a hug. A hug you put yourself in on top of that, which helps give you a sense of control when your circumstances in life feel out of your control. (Sometimes it's even the texture of the fabric, which, for people who soothe through touch, can be a powerful calming technique.)

Some like layers and gloves and socks -- even while not weather-appropriate -- because it feels protective, like you can hide in them. Just like those who wear a lot of black to subconsciously give themselves a sense of safety and control, to hide and blend into the background.

Of course, looked at randomly, these things can just be personal preferences too; it doesn't have to be a mental health coping mechanism.

But, this is Hunter we're talking about. And look at the consistency of him wearing gloves and layers. But, after a while in the Human World, away from Belos and living with his friends and Camila, he is obviously much more comfortable and feels safer.

It's like Gus pointed out: He's happy here. And while that comment makes Hunter immediately worry and move to placate Gus, it doesn't change the fact that it's the truth. He's happy. He feels safer than he ever has before. And, while the symptoms of anxiety and complex PTSD still linger, they are much improved -- because he is safe and happy. (I'm sorry, I can't say that enough! I'm so happy he got some time to be safe and happy for the first time in his life!)

What coven track would Hunter be in?

Whenever I see fanart for Hunter going to Hexide he's always in the yellow robes: potions. And I know that's because that's what he wore in Any Sport in A Storm when he was in disguise, but do we actually think we would be in the potions track?

Because I think he just threw on the yellow because that was the closest to his Golden Guard uniform, heck, he probably doesn't even know the different tracks and their corresponding colours.

So would Hunter be in the potions track? Because I don't think he would be, but idk what he would be in otherwise.

My guess atm would be multitrack, like Luz, since he's into wild magic. But I'm not sure. What to other ppl think?

Danganronpa despair time makes my brain spur (idk how to word it lol)

Gonna start on requests tonight and then go to sleep and upload them when I'm finished with them all lol

But I came to dump that I've watched the owl house finale and started drawing a Danganronpa despair time x owl house AU but like only the idea of them as kids in the demon realm with Teruko being the only human

I did this with the canon Danganronpa games before lol but I wanted to draw them in the hexide , glandus, and st epiderm uniforms. I'll upload what I drew when I get the chance along with the requests I got. (Thank you guys , so happy to draw again)

Do think Raine could be chubby? I've seen some art draw them like that and I think it's pretty cute or smthing

I like to pretend they kinda are. I headcanon that Raine always wears a belt around their waist in every outfit we see them in because they have a pudgy stomach.

It's possible they're meant to be a little bit chubby though it's kinda hard to tell with how the female/nonmale characters are drawn in the show.

Willow's meant to be chubby, and then I think Vee in her human form is meant to be a little bit chubby/mid size. Looking at her on her own you wouldn't be able to tell but compared to the other kids, she's wider than them.

As an adult Raine's wider than Eda and a majority of the women (there's no other nonbinary adult to compare them to).

And has a similar body type to Hunter when he wore the Hexide uniform and had a belt around his waist. (In some shots Hunter was drawn with stomach rolls so he was probably meant to have some chub and muscle)

Okay but imagine: AU where the Owl House is in the MCU and due to the multiverse breach, variants of Luz start appearing resulting in an army of Luz's from different timelines even dimensions with different goals and personalities but there's one thing that keeps them united, they all love Amity, except for that one Luz who has no idea who's Amity and unfortunately was jumped by a bunch of Luz's who said you don't trust a Luz who doesn't know who Amity is.

(For this one, I borrowed characters form AUs by @wiccsstuffs, @yogurthoopsart, and @moringmark...you can probably tell where this is going)

Into the Luz-verse

"What if she got kidnapped by the Emperor's Coven?!" Amity panicked as she, Gus, and Willow walked to the Owl House. "Or worse, what if she's sick and needs constant tender love and care!?"

"Then Eda will undoubtingly take care of her," Willow dryly told Amity, "Besides, don't you think you're overreacting? I mean, Luz missed one day of school. It's no big deal."

"It is a big deal! Luz loves school! She wouldn't miss it without reason!"

"She makes a good point."

"You're not helping, Gus!" Willow shouted.

"Sorry."

At long last, they made it to the familiar old house out in the woods, with the ever familiar annoying house demon guarding its front door.

"Hi, Luz's friends!" Hooty greeted the young witches, "What brings you here--"

"Is Luz alright!?" Amity cut to the chase.

"Oh, yeah, she's fine! All of them are, in fact!"

"You see, Amity? Luz is--" But Willow blinked, finally catching on to what Hooty said. "I'm sorry, did you say all of them?"

"Yepperoni! See for yourself."

Hooty then swung the door open, revealing...something no one would have expected.

Because inside the living room of the Owl House were eight versions of Luz Noceda, each with their unique outfit, style, and even features.

"...Did you wish really hard?" Willow asked Amity.

"Shut up."

"Friends!" shouted one Luz in a Hexide uniform. "And awesome girlfriend. What brings you here?"

"...You didn't show up to school, and we got worried," Gus explained, "Er, well, Amity got worried."

"Oh, yeah, sorry about that. We've been dealing with a bit of an issue over here."

"Clearly," Willow nodded, "My question is...what are these...versions of you?"

"Well, it's like you said. They're versions of me. But from different universes. Pretty cool, right?"

"So cool..." Amity said, stupified.

"Titan's Elbow..." Willow muttered out of annoyance.

"And they're all totally different, too."

Luz pointed at a version of her sitting on the couch, arms crossed, expression indifferent, wearing a green jacket, ripped black jeans, and a red beanie with two strands of hair sticking out.

"That one's from a universe where everything's pretty much the same," Luz explained, "The only real difference is that everyone's, like, two or three years older and a lot ruder. I call her Hipster Luz."

"Up yours!" Hipster Luz growled, "I'm not a hipster."

"Then why are you dressed like one?"

"Ha. Great comeback, Pipsqueak. Now here's mine."

She then proceeded to give a crude gesture involving one of her fingers.

"Yeah, you see what I mean about the whole rude thing?" Luz Prime asked her friends. She then pointed at the Luz sitting next to Hipster Luz. "The one in the purple striped t-shirt and black jeans is Dark Luz."

"Hello!" Dark Luz waved.

"Why is she called Dark Luz?" Gus asked, "She doesn't seem that dark."

"I'm called that because, where I'm from, the Boiling Isles is in Hell!"

"Ok, yeah, that'll do it."

"You seem pretty chipper for someone who's, you know, in Hell," Willow pointed out.

"Eh, it's not like making a bad situation any worse is going to solve anything."

"...I oddly respect that."

"Ooh! Also, where I'm from, humans can do natural magic! Watch:"

Dark Luz then closed her eyes and clasped her hands. After concentrating really hard, a light yellow ora soon enveloped her hands. Once it dissipated, Dark Luz opened her palms, and a ball of light came out.

"Tada!"

"Woah!" Shouted one Luz in golden armor and a white cape as she ran up to Dark Luz. "How did you do that?! Also, can you PLEASE teach me that?!"

"Maybe."

"That's Golden Luz, by the way," Luz pointed out, "She comes from a universe where Emperor Belos raised her and made her a golden guard alongside Hunter."

"...I'm sorry, what?"

"It's not that big of a deal," Golden Luz brushed off the insanity of her origins. "Uncle Belos is actually pretty sweet...sometimes."

"Did you just say 'UNCLE?!'"

"Pretty sure Belos is the devil in my universe," Dark Luz said, ignoring Willow's outburst.

"Well, that's you're universe," Golden Luz argued, "As we can tell, people from different universes can have drastically different personalities. Like Hipster Luz."

"I'm not a hipster!"

"Or Swap Luz," she then pointed to a Luz in a black hoodie and orange hair. "She looks a lot like the rest of us. The only difference is that she basically has Amity's personality."

"Your versions of Amity," Swap Luz said, "To me, she's basically the same as all of you."

"And mine's definitely not like any of yours," Hipster Luz, "Seriously, if Fwippy is anything to go by, then the rest of you girls are all on easy street. Believe me when I say that the bite marks I got from that witch weren't exactly pleasing...Ok, some were. But most weren't."

"First off, gross. Second, don't call me 'Fwippy,' you Hipster!"

"Why is she called Fwippy, anyway?" Willow asked.

"Because of her ears," Luz Prime said, "When she gets embarrassed, they make a cute little fwip-fwip."

And it was then that Willow, Gus, and Amity noticed the pointy ears on Swap Luz.

"Wait, she's a witch?!" Willow exclaimed.

"Yup, that's why we call her Swap Luz," Luz Prime explained. "Not only is she and her Amity's personalities are swapped, but also their races. In Swap Luz's universe, she's is the witch, and Amity is the human. Isn't that neat?"

"But why do her ears go fwip-fwip?" Gus asked.

"Look, it's just a thing that witches do in my universe!" Swap Luz exasperatedly told him. "I don't understand why it's exclusive to mine, but it is! So don't judge me for it!"

And, because she felt a little embarrassed, Swap Luz's ears actually did a little fwip-fwip.

"Aw, that is cute!" Amity cooed, making the fwipping worse and forcing Swap Luz to pull her hood over her head.

"But why call her 'Swap Luz?'" Willow asked, "Why not call her something simpler like 'Witch Luz?'"

"Because there's already a 'Witch Luz.' And it's her."

Luz Prime pointed to a Luz in a purple cape with some of it covering the bottom half of her face and the rest of her attire looking similar to Luz's casual look but seeming like it came from the Boiling Isles.

"And why is--"

"Because I'm also a witch who came from the Boiling Isles," Witch Luz answered the question before it was asked. "Except my situation is that I'm trapped in the human world where I became what is basically a superhero that fights against monsters from my world while also trying to find a way back home."

"...That sounds awesome!" Gus exclaimed.

"Doesn't it!?" Luz Prime joined in, "I keep telling her that if her life was a series, I would absolutely binge it non-stop."

"And I still have no idea what that means," Witch Luz confessed. "Besides, it's not like I'm the only superhero here."

"Oh, yeah, that's right. There's also a version of me that's Spider-Man...somehow."

On cue, a Luz in white and purple spandex with pink webs hung upside from the ceiling, holding on to a strand of webbing.

"For the record, I'm not a Spider-Man, whoever that is," she said, "My name is La Arácnida."

"I thought you said your name was La Araña?"

"No, it's La Arácnida. La Araña is taken...apparenlty."

"How do you know that?"

"I just do."

"Well, what if La Arácnida is taken too?"

"Then I'm open to suggestions!"

"I have one last question," Gus raised his hand. "Who's that?"

He pointed over to one Luz in the corner, tied to a chair and looking very pouty.

"Oh, that's Evil Luz," Luz Prime simply said.

"I'm not evil!" Evil Luz protested, "Seriously, Golden Luz is raised by Emperor Belos! How is she not Evil Luz?!"

"Hey, Uncle Belos isn't evil!" Golden Luz defended, "Sure, he has a few sour spots, may or may not have abused Hunter, petrifies witches who don't join covens, kills palismans--Oh, my Titan, is Uncle Belos evil?"

"Yes!" everyone in the room responded.

"But the reason why Evil Luz is Evil Luz is simple," Luz told her friends, "You see, she comes from a universe where almost everything is the same except that it's a universe without Amity. Which is horrifying to think about. And when we told her all about you, guess what she said."

"All I said was that I didn't see the appeal!" Evil Luz exclaimed, "How does that make me evil?"

"It makes you a monster is what it does!" Swap Luz yelled at her. "How can you not see the appeal of someone so pure of heart?!"

"Again, that's your Amity," Hipster Luz pointed out. "Ours is actually a lot less pure. Especially mine."

"I don't know. Mine's a little nice, actually," said Dark Luz. "I even drew art of us as best friends the first day we met because she was nice to me."

"Look, I just don't understand it, alright?" Evil Luz spoke again, "I mean, don't get me wrong, looking at her, she's cute. But I don't know how Amity can be the irresistible goddess that most of you call her as."

"Because we have hearts, and you don't, you evil scourge!" Luz Prime yelled.

"I'm not evil!"

"What I still don't understand is how did all these...yous came here, Luz?" Willow questioned her best friend.

"You know as much as I do, to be honest," Luz Prime shrugged. "I was just about ready to head to school when, suddenly, all these versions of me started to appear out of nowhere inside the living room."

"If I had to wager a guess," said La Arácnida, "I'd say someone in the multiverse messed up really bad and caused a convergence of people from different worlds to show up at the same place in the same time."

"...But why is it all versions of you?" Willow asked, "And why was it all in this universe?"

"That's why I called it a guess, not an answer. I honestly have no idea."

"So...what now, then."

"Well, we figured we'd all hang out until one of us figure out a way to get all the Luzs back to their universes," Luz Prime said, "Seems to be going great so far. Eda's definitely into it."

"The more kids, the merrier, if you ask me," Eda said, bringing in a tray of drinks. "Who's thirsty?"

"I am!" responded all the Luzs.

"Can I have a straw for mine?" Evil Luz asked. "I'm kind of tied up at the moment, pun not intended.

"Of course," said Dark Luz, "Because, unlike you, we're not evil."

"I'M NOT EVIL!"

"Sure you're not."

Some Owl House nail art designs I made :) the first is inspired by Luz’s Hexide uniform, the second inspired by the various glyphs Luz has discovered, the third (my favorite) obviously being Hunter/The Golden Guard, and lastly the fourth being the stain glass windows of the Owl House! I’ll probably make more and am open to any requests for different characters or fandoms!

King's own friend group/Like the idea and concept? What are your ideas?

I had this idea of an AU/Headcanon. We know Luz has her friend group, her own crew (Gus, Willow, Amity, Emira, Edric, Viney, Jerbo, Hunter, Barcus)

This gave me an idea. I had an idea of King having his own group of friends with kids his own age.

I had this idea for some sort of AU of King attending Hexide with Luz in a grade level with kids his own age. Maybe kids like Braxas or Usurper could be a part of King's friend group. I even had ideas of some OCs that could also be friends with. I decided to create young sibling OCs for some of the canon characters of the Owl House. For Cat...one of Boscha's posse members. I already created OCs that are Cat's younger siblings Drex and Nikki. Here is a link of a past reddit post of it. It goes into detail of their backstoryTo give a bit of detail. Nikki is the girl twin, she's hot headed, short-tempered, sporty, and a canine lover. Drex is the shyer of the twins, and is the boy twin. I had this idea of Jerbo having a younger sister name Naomi. She doesn't talk and is very shy and pretty clingy to Jerbo. Howler has a bit of a puppy crush on Arrow. -------- This character from season 1 episode 8 Once Upon a Swap. People called him names like Lucas or Luca. He's the dude that hung with Boscha and her gang. He’s the dude with the beanie, blond hair, and oracle uniform I had this idea of giving him a young sister name Rhea. She's very calm, intelligent, level headed and yet a bit aloof. She has a high IQ and loves to read, study. and loves crystal balls (think of it as the BI version of a tech-savvy who loves computers). Though she doesn't really have an understanding of the concepts of emotion, social skills, and friendships. --------- I had ideas for King and/or Braxis and Usurper and the OCs I came up with forming some sort of friend group all attending Hexside.Though imagine them in like, high school level as teenagers.
