Logan's Evolution Into a Dog Dad

Disgust at first sight.

Still disgusted as she comes back to Wade, and notably disgusted when he has to hold her.

Also worth noting that Wade is very attached to Dogpool and does not give her back to Nicepool, but to Logan.

After holding her for a bit, he seems to become more attached, even talking to her.

When he thinks he & Wade are parting ways, he gives her a goodbye headrub.

Finally, he offers to hold her so Wade can speak to Vanessa, and he & Laura happily play with her.

Logan even boops her!

So, I have been vaguely noodling around with an idea that's, like...

OK, first of all: I choose to headcanon that the SIS has a K9 unit, because why wouldn't they! They have dogs that are trained to sniff out bombs and do all kinds of other things! And I don't know if realistically these dogs and their handlers would be kept anywhere near MI6 HQ...but make-believe land can have anything I want, so they are there now!!

And I always choose to headcanon that Q was a Weird Neurodivergent Kid Who Spent All His Time With Animals Instead of People and had like ten million pets of all different species. But mainly he had cats and dogs, and he's as comfortable with dogs as he is with cats.

And he gave up having dogs when he moved to London full time and got very busy with grad school and MI6, but he still loves dogs very much. So he visits the K9 unit regularly and makes friends with one of the handlers and helps her with training and exercising the dogs. It's like free therapy for Q! It helps him decompress after a bad day! He is soothed by working with these creatures for an hour or two!

And I've been thinking about how maybe one or two of these dogs have been retired from active service but still hang out with the others. Their handlers take the retired dogs home with them at night, and bring them into work in the morning, and the retired dogs get to exercise with the others and stay busy and feel useful! They are also helpful for socializing the newly trained puppies and keeping them in order!

Aaaaand maybe the handler of one of these old dogs has to move away to take care of her sick mother, or something. And she can't take the dog with her. And she's very upset because she doesn't know who will look after this dog now!

And Q is like ☝️🤓 💡

Because, as it happens, there is another old dog lurking around HQ these days who is about to be retired from active service but needs to stay busy and feel useful!

And so Q simply leashes up the dog and hands him to Bond.

Congrats, Bond! You have your very own retired-from-service dog now! He is scarred and grumpy and suspicious of everyone and he has a bad hip! You two are gonna get along GREAT. Also, he needs to go for walkies every morning, and he needs to go swimming every afternoon, and you are going to have to spend two hours a day working with him in the training room or he will fall into a deep depression. And also, he needs a special expensive kidney-health diet and distilled water and regular brushings and nail trimmings. I will teach you all his commands and walk you through his daily routine for the first few weeks until you get used to each other! You two are going to have so much fun together! 🤩

Bond does not want this dog. The dog does not want Bond. But Q is determined, and now Bond is walking this dog around Hyde Park (or the dog is walking HIM) and they're both eyeing each other like...it's rotten work. Especially to me, especially if it's you. I'll do it, but Jesus Christ.

But both Bond and the dog have a strong sense of Duty which carries them through until they can properly get used to each other, and they do become very fond of each other in time!

(Also, I just have a nebulous Thought in my head of Q teaching Bond the dog's routines and commands and giving the dog treats and headrubs, and Bond getting jealous and needing Q to also give HIM treats and headrubs for participating in the Training Routine with the dog. After each training sesh, Q has to have them both sit politely while he feeds them treats and rubs them down and tells them they are Good Boys.

Thinking about bestfriend!wonbin whos laid himself on your bed waiting for your return, so he turns to his phone to distract himself. The door softly creaks but hes too interested in the tiktok his watching, so you come beside the bedside and lightly ruffle his hair.

That gets his full attention, quickly locking his phone and throwing it somewhere as his big boba eyes lock with yours. He scoots over on the bed so you can slide in, his mind going back to how good he felt with your hands in his hair.

Seeming to notice, you try to snap him out of his thoughts before you hear a mumbled "fuck it." wonbin opening your legs and resting his head on your thighs. Youre taken aback and wonbins embarrassed, but theres no going back now! He leads your hands back to his hair so you can play with it, rub it, braid it, hes fine with anything.

And although hes trying to hold back his smile, it stretches itself across his face, his eyes closed and soon hes fallen asleep.

The next day, wonbins been trying to find more excuses for you to touch his hair, as he was too embarrassed to ask for headrubs. So he gets an idea, ripping up a tiny piece of paper, he sticks it in his hair for you to find, walking and talking to you as if he didnt know it was there.

And it quickly catches your attention. So you gesture him to lean his head down as hes speaking, his eyes admiring your concentrated expression as his hands hold both of your sides, pulling you closer.

You didnt seem to notice the lack of distance between you two, your hands entangled in his hair and a pleased look on his face, before he takes one of his hands away from your side and strokes your cheek, making you lose focus in his hair and back at him, where hes giving you the most gentle smile. And then you notice how close you are, and how hes leaning in. ♡

How do you think Eli would react if he realized Thrawn was purring

fresh from hell (fucking up a presentation for the 12th time) to answer this:

so I think eli wouldn't realise at first. the fact thrawn can purr doesn't seem like information he would either want to divulge, or perceive as relevant (at least not for a while). so, I like this idea that they're just cuddling or something, and eli hears this sound. no idea what it is. stops what he's doing, the sound stops. continues cuddling; there it is again.

it takes him a second to realise: wait, this is thrawn? purring? because of him?

at that point, I think he gets a little flustered or embarrassed — that's intimate! vulnerable! and after all, that's his commanding officer purring. but at the same time... that's his commanding officer, purring, for him. then it clicks and the dynamic shifts. it's no longer 'cool composed thrawn' vs 'some guy eli' — it's 'thrawn who purrs when you give him a headrub' vs 'eli vanto: gatekeeper of headrubs'.

total power trip (/j... mostly).

from then on, I think eli utilises the hell out of that. boyfriend acting stressed? make him purr with a cuddle! boyfriend soon to commit a war crime? shut him down with a headrub. eli HAS to find some pride in being able to melt this scary admiral man to the point of purring.

possibly struggles to take him as seriously too.

of course, eli would probably also find it kinda cute (after it stops being a little weird to him). and the fact thrawn feels comfortable enough around him to let himself do that would mean something to him and their relationship.

so yeah, having done yet more overthinking on a relatively simple ask: I think eli would initially be surprised and a little flustered, then actively seek to make him purr. he enjoys it himself too, whether from the sound, or knowing thrawn is that comfortable around him, or envisioning him purring when he's commanding, mid-battle, on the bridge.

as ever, I'm no authority on thranto things and I love hearing other peoples' hcs too! that said, I have been having a HELL of a great time with these, so I am always happy to answer more. thank you for another very fun ask!

Wholesome ass Gamzee Makara Headcanons ♌️🎪

He's tall. Like 6'5-6 slouched but close to 7 ft. standing straight (obviously referring to Pesterquest Gamz). Tall clown boy aaaa <3

This man purrs. Very kitty-like but deep and makes his chest/back vibrate a little. Either while he's sleeping or receiving headrubs.

His hair is like super messy. He has to constantly be reminded to brush it out but it's not particularly gross he's just a messy dude.

Suprisingly, he has a very sweet smell to him due to the copious amounts of sopor and Faygo he consumes on a daily basis. It's actually quite pleasant.

He's def a picky eater. You cannot get this man to consume ANYTHING that isn't sopor or Faygo. That's most likely why he's so thin.

He REALLY wants some type of facial piercing(s). He doesn't know how or where to aquire them he just thinks they're super cool.

If you're moirails/matesprits with him, he will. not. leave. you. alone. And he's very affectionate, so definitely expect random hugs (obviously if you're comfy with them). He'll also invite you to his hive as often as he can to hang out and do typical friend stuff.

Toby

Usually its pretty obvious when Toby's having a bad/rough day

He is one of the few creeps who doesn't mind wearing his emotions on his sleeve

So when he comes home from work an hour or so late, more twigs and dirt in his hair and on his face than usual, and doesnt even bother to bid you hello, you know somethings up

So you make a quick trip to McDonald's, and get him his favorite

10 piece chicken nugget meal with sweet and sour sauce, and a medium sweet tea

When you get back to the manor, there is no sign of Toby anywhere

So you go ahead and go up to his room, where you hear the shower running

You put his food on his nightstand, turn off the lights, light a few candles and pull up his favorite tv show

While you wait, you go ahead and pick up his very dirty uniform that reeks of dirt and dead things, and go ahead and put it in the washer for him

About 30 minutes later, he emerges with a towel wrapped around his waist and another towel in his hands that he uses to dry his hair

He jumps a little bit when seeing someone in his room, but when he notices that it's you, he calms down

He doesn't speak to you as he shuffles over to his dresser and picks out some sweatpants and a baggy band t-shirt he got from Tim

After putting his clothes on, he comes to lay on his bed with you, putting his head on your chest and awaiting the headrubs

You wrap an arm around him lazily and use your other hand to stroke his damp hair "do you wanna talk about it?"

He shakes his head

"Ok. I got you some food" you say, offering a fry

He takes and eats it, before sitting up and eating the rest of his meal

All the food is gone and he is still sipping on his drink when he finally speaks "thank you." Is all he says

You smile and kiss his shoulder "of course, love"

Jeff

Jeff is another one that you can easily tell when he's upset

He has very explosive anger that can sometimes get out of control

And depending on what hes done and who hes hurt, he can sometimes feel very guilty when he comes to

Which is exactly what happened this time

He's punching walls, throwing things, screaming, you name it

No one really knows what triggered this, but Liu eventually tries to step in

Liu is almost immediately shut down, because as soon as he tries to say anything, jeff is shoving him up against a wall and screaming at him next

Which of course, triggers Sully to front

So now Jeff and Sully are in an all out fist fight, and Jeff ends up hurting him pretty bad

Sully ends up with a gnarly concussion and has to spend the night in the medical wing

Now, jeff doesnt feel bad about hurting sully at all, but he does feel bad that he hurt his brother's body

So he shamefully locks himself away in his room, refusing to come out for anything

After an hour of trying to convince him to at least let you in, you instead decide to go get him a tasty treat to make him feel better

You go to a sushi restaurant and get him his favorite rolls, then make a trip to a gas station to get him some arizona tea, mango flavored

When you get home, you slide his food under his door (pretend it wouldve fit 💀) and await a response

You are met with him taking the food and eating slowly, before he eventually lets you in

You spend the rest of the night consolling him, sitting in his lap and telling him that it'll all be ok

He does end up thanking you for the sushi, but its not until a week later when his ego is all better

And in the morning, you take him to see Liu, who is totally playing it up to make jeff feel exxxxtra bad (lmao what losers)

Eyeless Jack

Unlike the other two, jack is very hard to read

He almost always has the same, neutral expression on his face

His emotions only show if he especially vulnerable, like during a blood moon or around other demons, etc

And even then, he tries his hardest to remain nonchalant

So when you finally find him in the library, pacing around, you know somethings bugging him

You know its not gonna be easy to get it out of him though, so you go to his favorite steakhouse and get him steak, loaded mashed potatoes, and water

You come back to the library where he is still pacing, seemingly very deep in thought

You place his food down on one of the long library tables, and watch as his pointy nose twitches, and his eyes flick over to the food

He comes over to the table, where you are now sitting and points at the food "is this for me?" He asks

You nod and he sits next to you, beginning to eat in a way that looks quite weird, almost like hes trying to eat the way a human would, but is failing miserably due to his large teeth and multiple tongues

"What's on your mind?" You ask as he finishes his potatoes

"This and that" he mutters

"This and that being...?" You trail

"Just...a lot" he says, finally finishing his food and taking a sip of water

"I see." You say, standing and coming to drape your arms around his shoulders

"Did the food help? At least a little?" You ask, pressing a kiss to his sharp ear

"Yeah, it was nice. Thank you, dear" he says, turning his head and kissing your nose

"Anytime" you respond, allowing him to kiss you several more times all over your face
