actually i do know because i feel the SAME. my love for ex bakugo is unyielding. endless. forever. and i actually wrote a bunch for him a couple months ago when another anon brought it up but... got scared they'd hate what i had down so i....... put it on the shelf. i'll have to find it maybe... if ppl want.

ANYWAY... like. there is truly just no way to go wrong with him. there is just no universe where he isn't either a depressed, miserable, longing ex or an kind, gentle and regretful one (or some variation of). even when he's angry, it's mostly just at himself for being a douche who managed to lose you, and HOW CAN U NOT LOVE THAT??

it's so ironic bc he's such a prickly pear but... he just loves the hardest out of any + everyone. not that i don't imagine the others and just as caring... but for bakugo, it's almost a religious experience, you know? never a phase or an era or something he just does but a... idek. life commitment? goal? achievement? something to be maintained and treasured? all of the above. EVEN IF he's not that good at it (at first... which is debatable anyway), that's still how he feels.

so when u break up... that can't be the end of things. like really i can only imagine it happening circumstantially, cuz i genuinely think that any issues you bring up with him (aside from work maybe), he'd take BEYOND seriously.

too gruff and private? suddenly he's telling u every single emotion he has and asking if he's being too rough. too anal and uptight? suddenly the kitchen is a mess and he hasn't even noticed. hell, even too busy? he'll do his best to fit a whole evening with u in his schedule (he hates mornings more than anything but takes the ass crack of dawn shift just so u can have dinner together most night)... it's like !!!!!!! + reminds me of that post i made talking about how pro heroes are so hard to breakup with bc even when ur pointing out their flaws, they're so used to constructive criticism, they don't even notice ur being insulting LMFAO😭

that aside tho, i can never imagine a bakugo breakup!au without them... you both back together at some point. even if it's ten or fifteen years later like... he spent all that time trying to get better for u... even if he didn't think you'd really come back. (or, as i was trying to write, you breakup with him and he just... doesn't fucking believe u LMFAOOOOO and shoves his booty back into his rightful place sadjkfhakjdsf)

(and bc i have i-can-fix-him disease, i also like bakugo who went thru a traumatic breakup w/ someone who wasn't u... and then five/ten/fifteen years later, you're the one to teach him to love again. or maybe that's not that unique of me LOL).

But actually talking serious about it it's just such a wild mischaracterization on both sides. Johan is so utterly disinterested that you can no longer be looking at the same character whatsoever. And I can not be convinced that Tenma would enter into a relationship with someone that he as a 28 yr old treated when he was 10. Sure time has passed, but that was an impact moment in his life. It's just out of character to think he would express interest.

And no. When Johan said "you're like a father to me" he was not Just Saying That. At what point does Johan ever "just say shit" like that!! Especially to Tenma. The unnerving part about Johan IS that he's saying what he believes to be true, he doesn't lie to people he fucks them up with his versions of reality. When it comes to ships for me, I have to take into consideration what the characters themselves have said and I reasonably believe they mean; ergo yeah they would not be interested in each other, lol.

"What about as crackship" see I am not really a crackship enjoyer most of the time. I have to believe there's a feasible way in which these characters would go at each other and I do not see that here. Even if you make an AU out of it, at that point....you've literally taken these characters completely out of what makes them who they are, so, yeah, just make OCs about it.

"keep her away from him + better 243 miles away" are jokes but also is that not just the entire narrative of monster. keep them away from each other so the story can go on

gonna be reading the husky and his white cat shizun vol 1 for the first time, so i've decided to humiliate my future self by making predictions based on the summary or whatever rn. feel free to laugh at me if i get things terribly wrong

just based on the cover, im thinking mo ran was this determined, loyal, and playful guy maybe? awfully trusting? idk he just kinda gives off jokingly smug energy and is probably un serious most of the time which gets on the other guy's nerves. or, he's just. super dedicated. though maybe he's a little overbearing with it?

in the extra picture, his shizun has this armor arm (but not on the cover?), which, to me, implies that something pretty wack happens, leaving him needing to replace it with that badass magic steel limb. mayyybeee this happened in mo ran's old life already or this is a new thing that surprises him

probably really looked up to his quiet shizun, who can be quite easy to annoy (mo ran annoys him to no end because of his constant yapping idk) but would never actually lay a hand on his disciples? or just be pretty light compared to the other shizuns either bc he prefers to use other ways as punishment or doesn't feel the need to for one reason or another. elegant and refined, but maybe a little lazy. he doesn't really look like the type of person to go out of their way to punish or fight

something happened that was actually just this huge misunderstanding or his shizun had to do something pretty fucked which led mo ran into complete despair, being betrayed by his teacher (trust and abandonment issues? yes please). before, he had a crush on his shizun but didn't really realize it? but now he couldn't care less than to create this super elaborate revenge plan, those unknown feelings either buried or wiped clean away

mo ran was low-key depressed after becoming emperor because it purely just to fuck with his shizun and make things terrible and out of spite or whatever. so then he ended his life because nothing was going his way, expecting to be happy with his path of revenge. but now that he's back in time, he goes, "oh i should play it smarter this time, now that i know of my shizun's true nature! i'll get him back. maybe if i get rid of him early, then i wont have to suffer longer. i'll also get revenge on everyone else earlier!" or smth like that idk

but of course, his plans kinda get fucked and slowly he starts seeing sides to his shizun that he didn't see before bc he heavily idolized him in his past life, ignoring everything else. his newfound hatred has kinda brought a new perspective? which is surprisingly helpful but also not, since he's now villainizing his every move and is super distrustful.. straight up in denial about his shizun's good deeds. maybe mo ran will instinctually save him at one point and beat himself over it, or his shizun will save him even though he really, REALLY had no reason to/actively went out of his way which really messes up mo ran's feelings.

anyways, i'll be off to read it now. we shall see how wrong i am lmao

most of my adverse reaction came from me not believing in rushed decision making, and as i've been subject to a public throttling like that by people who thought they were doing good against an abuser and had to change everything for safety, as people DO sometimes just want to go on crusades to feel better about themselves, i wanted concrete proof. i mostly used this as an opportunity to support and become better acquainted with shubble instead of the wilbur thing, but man.... that sucks. huge influence on my latter teen years and who i am today. just goes to show that anyone can be an abuser and you need to be critical of the people around you and remind them that humans can be bad, they're not immune to horrible behavior. nobody wakes up and decides to be an abuser. i'll still wait for more information and continue binging shubble's empires, but since i've pulled myself out of that fandom sphere a while ago and he hasn't made videos in forever anyway, there's not really too much for me to change except mentally.
