I'm rewatching trollhunters and just got to 3x7, and it never fails to make me emotional. Like, the opening flashback of Merlin making the amulet (especially the scene of Morgan's hand sinking into the cauldron. it's amazing, actually),
And all the parallels!
Angor Rot convincing Gunmar to let Draal live because what he said reminded him of his time obeying Strickler, Draal saying "don't make it weird" when he offered Jim a hand up just like when Jim first spared Draal after their fight,
AND MY FAVORITE ONE: the parallel to Kanjagar's death, with his son dying in the same pose as his father as he falls off a ledge, presumably smashing into pieces on the ground. It's just so ajdjsjsnfi

Johnny Brainrot: Tea
In England, it’s customary to always offer tea to guests. Like expected or not.
Meaning if anyone went over to the garage, they would immediately be offered a cup of tea by either Marcus, Johnny, or even Stan or Barry (it’s implied they don’t live there but they are family so). Imagine every time their parole officer comes to check on the garage, they’re immediately met with a chorus of “Would you like a cup of tea?” the second they step inside.
And Johnny probably would do this in Redshore with his hotel room as well. Like Meena swings by after practice to check in, and she’s immediately being asked if she wants a cup of tea as Johnny scrambles around to find a tea kettle.
Anytime any of the troupe points out he doesn’t have to do that, Johnny just looks at them completely deadpan and goes “My dad might be a bloody bank robber, but he did raise me to have decent manners”. No one can argue with him after that.

OooooooOOOOOOO I hate this job sometimes. Coming in an hour and a half early TO DO PERSONAL STUFF - shopping, buying cake for the store's first birthday, replying to messages etc BEFORE MY SHIFT STARTS - and then arriving to the delivery running late and being huge, and having skeleton staff in despite massive delivery volume, including no other supervisors except me from the start of my shift, meaning I can "take a break", but if anyone needs a manager I will have to leave my break and go do whatever needs doing. Thankfully I managed to get an extra body in and the lad I'm working with tonight is coming in a bit earlier. But like why didn't the fucking manager look at the delivery size yesterday and think oh shit I should try to get more staff in??? The deputy is on holiday and she just left her shift entirely un-covered? Why??? And like it's whatever bc I'm making extra money this week from having to do overtime but still? And like yeah I could have checked the rota before this morning and found more cover myself but it's literally not my job to do that. I don't get paid a manager's salary so I'm not doing the manager's job 🤷🏼♀️

Man.
( spoilers for Wrio's story quest under here )
What really got to me in his story quest is that he immediately admitted of the crime he did, because despite him committing it for a noble cause (saving his adoptive siblings), it was still a crime and he should have been punished justly for it.
The ideal of justice was already ingrained into him... he gave himself no special treatment, no delusions that he was a savior. A crime is a crime, and must be dealt with by the law.
And how he has learned and matured a lot ever since then, and how calm and friendly he can be while still being a scheming bastard if he smells something wrong... the duality of this man is insane. He's perfectly balanced!!!!
How we see him now. that he has somewhat learned to make peace with what he has done, expecially after he served his sentence is SO GOOD. He's a solitary person by name, title and personality, so the Traveler and Paimon coming into his life and becoming friends with him like this makes me cry a little bit. Those two are someone he trusts! He jokes with Paimon with his brand of threatening humor and (eventually, DAMN YOU) shares his point of view with the Traveler and let them join to help... How he dashed to attack when The Fucker pointed his gun at them, his friends?
How the entire thing happening in the Fortress was essentially him reliving his teenagerhood, and how angry it made him- yet he held back until he could deliver a proper smackdown on the one responsible, after all the necessary investigations to leave the fucker no margin of even trying to look innocent. Ouch.
He trusts the Traveler enough to disclose his past, but I think that he came to terms with it a long time ago, and doesn't particulary hold back in talking about it with people he trusts, if asked. In the brain of a teenager, he knew that the only logical course of actions to make this nightmare end for his adoptive siblings ( and by extension himself ) was to kill the ones perpetrating it- then, since killing was a crime, he admitted guilt. It was done and over, he was ready to take the consequences of it. And taking the consequences properly, having a change of rebirth really helped with whatever mental issues the whole ordeal possibly left on him.
He's so balanced... he has a bad past that could have potentially make him tragic, but doesn't let it color his character at every step of the way. He jokes around, is spotless at doing his job and sometimes has to get serious- and that's all. He's so good like this, just existing and running his new home and giving it his best. Quest was the correct amount of short. 100% EXTREMELY GOOD insight that didn't dragged anything. Loved it.
