don't let him find out you're down about something, because you're not leaving this house until he sees that smile

he holds you close more often and whispers cute things to you. some jokes, some things are more personal/targeted comments of validation

don't be surprised when you wake up one day and there's baskets full of freshly picked fruit on the dining table too. he hates to see you frown, so he does everything in his power to hear your laughter again

Kung Lao

as much as he loves receiving validation and being told he's the best at any given moment, he loves giving it too

for him it's usually on occasions where he really means every single word he's saying. like if you were to finally get a move you've been trying for like a week, he's your number one cheerleader

on both ends he doesn't know how to react/isn't that good at giving praise. he'll either stumble over his words or do something else to show you he cares. it's really only when it comes to you cause he has to be confident around everybody else

he'll give an enthusiastic thumbs up from across the room, walk past you and whisper "great job!", or wait until it's just you two in the room so he can pepper your face with kisses (i need him so bad)

rain is a man of few words. the way he operates is he doesn't really feel the need to keep saying the same thing over and over again, but that changed with you

now it wasn't a huge change, but he definitely had no opposition to letting you know when he noticed you, and he knows you'd do the same if not more

. i think he's pretty tragic as a character; about as tragic as a character can b in dtmg LOLOL!! i like it when ppl r against bjc, and w their own valid reasons. bobby was just a fan who wanted to be like his idol, and in the process he ended up neglecting his own identity to fit the bjc standard. bjc rly set himself up for failure, and i love it when he faces the repercussions of his own actions. billy can't stand to see someone one-up him at his own game, and bobby being so good at being a ghost in such a short amount of time-- YUHHRRRR god that makes me so proud of him. when bobby is great, it's not at the expense of others, and he never showed any signs of intentionally making billy feel bad abt his lack of expertise up until the end of the episode. even then, bobby was never an antagonist for the fun of it. he was able to see the toxicity that billy beared, and i find that him saying "billy's somewhere he can't say mean things about people anymore" speaks volumes for his character. word choice here, "people" instead of the personal "me". he's vile, spiteful and tried to replace billy. he's so FUN. a butthurt and emotionally immature guy, but that's what i find so fascinating. the thing about liking an almost 30 year old show is I'm not sure as much about what went on behind the scenes. and a significant part of that is how awesome it was that the fans were just more separate from creators then, like there was no social media and junk for us to to badger them on about things. but the from their side there wasnt a place they could just dump shit on us for fun. things were told through dvd commentaries and magazines published back then or panels and stuff at conventions or even TV specials and those are all very... ephemeral. like I'm sure its all recorded somewhere but it takes a little more digging and hoping fan websites have the info. and thats doable I'm not asking anyone to help me with that btw i just havent done it yet cause i wanna get thru the show first or I'll have one billion spoilers from not being able to stop reading.

but i think the biggest thing for me rn on stargate is, again i watched atlantis first. and that started in and branched off of like season 8 of sg1. so i know a lot about The Ancients, since they were a big player in SGA, and every time something tangenally related to them comes up in SG1 i get super excited and wave my arms and jump up and down for Daniels attention cause i want him to discover Atlantis so bad. im so excited for him and oh god he has his earpods in he cant hear me-

anyways. connecting these two points..... i have to wonder watching things progress how much they planned ahead. how much did they set up like "... yeah we'll decide to make something of that later" and how much of it was "oh dude the fans are gonna FLIP when we make this reveal in two seasons" you know????? i can listen to stuff about gravity falls when hirch and co talk about how they had no idea where they were going. they were like "well he has a twin somewhere. for some reason. and hes..... well hes there." and they literally came up with the everything on the fly. and then even in Gargoyles, which is old like stargate too, i read apparently the writers called each other once like "WAIT HEY THIS CHARACTER FROM THE VERY BEGINNING FIRST EPISODE? Orlin also just said he was Human.

... he already was the cause of death for people he cared about once for giving away too much information, i wouldnt be surprised if he lied about being human. but also wouldnt be surprised if the writers were like..... unsure and didnt care cause it doesnt matter lmao they were just vibing. you know. idk im sure Orlin and even Oma will get brought up AGAIN later, im only in the beginnings of season 5 after all and know some spoilers that the ascension thing ans ancients become a big deal later but. yeah its just interesting. i like picking apart creators minds for their stories and its just not possible in the same way on such an old show. even if i could ask them, they'd be having to recall through decades of memories that change as they have over the years. and that provides an interesting color on things as well but... its not the same as knowing what they were thinking back then.

I need to rant so bad. My “bestfriend” who I barley see anymore cuz of everything she’s done is now going into ED rehab and everyone’s worried ab her including my mum cuz our families are close yet nobody cared when I was at my fudging lowest which I was legit a skeleton. I recovered but she’s only had it for like what a few months and everybody’s worried about her even when she legit did everything she could to make me feel like shit during mine and bullied tf outta me and even called me fat like WTAF. I’m so sick of her attention seeking its all she does. There was one point where she legit wanted to be me she dyed her hair and everything and stole all my clothes. I’m so pissed RN this has been sizzling thru my body and I don’t know wether to cry or scream and shout. And I cant tell anyone I’m angry because it feels wrong to say I had it first and she started hers for attention and Ofc I feel bad for her but it’s like you spent years bullying me and now you get an eating disorder and skinny everyone is worried about you. My bf helped me recover which I’m so greatful for except he doesn’t know ab this relapse and it’s all based on the anger that everyone cares when she had one but when I have one and get way lower than her no one cares about me at all. So like my mom told me today that my grandma called her and told her my uncle is currently oding on fent and it’s happened earlier this week too. And like she’s bipolar type 2 I think it is with like psychosis and because of their situation she hasn’t been taking her meds so she’s like super paranoid doesn’t want to call the cops but doesn’t want him to die and like all this shit. And I have to like be there for my mom and kinda help her thru it even tho I’m like the youngest and this totally isn’t my fucking job but whatever. But like I also don’t know how I’m supposed to like help her thru this but also like that my abuser and idk how to feel about this. Like I’ve wished death on him so much but then when I hear it actually is happening idk what to do with myself. Like I’m stress cleaning and shit and I don’t even know. I have convinced myself so much that it is true and on other days it isn’t true and I don’t think I’ll ever actually know cause all memory of when he lived with us is like gone from my brain and no matter how hard I try I can’t remember. Like I feel pulled in so many different directions with this. And my mom like called her later and made sure everything was okay but like wtf dude I didn’t need to know this. I can’t handle knowing this. And knowing that like eventually I’ll have to fly home alone to deal with all this. And I almost know for a fact that my sister won’t and I’ll be like alone with that is crazy. Idk what to do about this and I told my partner and his response was kinda just like idk what you want to hear I don’t know how to help and to tell his mom which I did but then we just kinda breezed past it and idk. Like no one really knows the truth and no one will and I can’t handle this rn with like literally everything else. I just want to go home but home isn’t home and I feel trapped and not okay.

last night i dreamed about cheating on michael again, this time w thomas instead of a rando stranger named jonathon lol. woke up feeling disgusted w myself and hating myself n ended up googling what it meant bc i feel terrible for having this as a recurring dream. here's what i came up w.

stress/anxiety. tends to trigger my intrusive thoughts. i have finals rn and had an 8am statics final this morning.

insecurity / fear of abandonment. this one makes mild sense ig but is more when the other person cheats on u but still, i think the sequence of having smth go wrong and begging for forgiveness & feeling like i don't deserve his love is a sign of insecurity / fear of abandonment. like giving a reason for things to go wrong. creating a source for my anxiety.

missing michael / not getting enough attention. he's been tired, going thru finals, + dealing w shit from zach. understandably, we haven't talked much lately. i'm wanting more from the relationship. craving attention & care which thomas gave me.

christian also shows up whenever i have a cheating dream & i think it's just bc of the intensity of, ig lovebombing? that i experienced from him, followed by abandonment. like at this point he's a symbol for all of those things that i'm so scared of & that make me think everything is gonna go wrong. i think him showing up just about sums up everything. he was comforting in this one n didn't play a huge role.

i don't ever wanna tell michael abt this sequence of events / dreams bc i don't want him to think i /actually/ wanna cheat on him or anything. i love him so so much which is why these dreams always weigh so heavily on me and i feel so guilty. but hopefully understanding more about myself, my needs, and my fears / insecurities will help. i don't think i've had this dream since midterms so it would make sense.

i feel like many stsg shippers view the two of them as inextricably linked to one another. that isn't true. they're clearly able to have independent lives without each other, though of course their love is constant, regardless of how physically and morally separated they are. what's challenging for gojo now is that the life he constructed without getou is being severely shaken up. all of a sudden, his found family dad beat the shit out of his not-ex yet decided to spare and save him for gojo's sake, getou confronted gojo's found family sister and threw his horrible ideals in her face, and now getou's got ANOTHER KID that's directly interacting with gojo's own children and gojo can't even be there to watch over them?? it's very, very disorienting.

he misses getou, a lot. obviously. while i love all my arguments i've written, the gojo vs getou argument in ch19 might be my favorite because of how fucking raw it is. they held absolutely nothing back. gojo doesn't have any delusions of the horrors of getou's actions -- another thing that bugs me is when stsg shippers try to say gojo doesn't care about what he's done, or that he'd just beg getou to come home, which is just...no. despite that, he has hope in getou's ability to change, or rather, return to who he once was but with a newfound stability and honesty to his convictions.

right now, he just feels powerless. like there's nothing he alone can do to change the current course of getou's life. the fate of his one and only rests far more in the hands of everyone around him than his own. while this notion still bothers him quite a bit, it's less so than it would have been a few years ago, because now he trusts everyone in his life so much to protect his love and happiness. he has faith in their ability to help getou, and of course will do everything he can to pitch in. he's still got a confession letter to send, after all.

sometimes though... he has his moments of clarity. moments where he thinks back to the way you fussed over him after the Croc incident. how you never left his side and always helped him with everything despite him not always appreciating enough. you always comforted him through every pain, intense or not, and you were there to tend to his every need. maybe your period is not exactly the same as nearly dying and rehabilitating for months afterwards, but it's your own pain, your own struggle. and he just told you to "take care" and fucking left on the spot. in those moments, he comes back to you and tries to stay by your side, help you somehow, but he's very prone to still run off to work, just this time in the next room instead of the other side of town. his bedside manner is lacking too, but he's trying

in a moment of panic, he runs to the store like his life depends on it, you on the phone. "what kind of pads do you need? are there sizes? what do you mean winged?". he'll get frustrated and buy one of every fucking thing, and grab all your favourite food. he'll fucking fight Batman on the way, but by the lord, he will get to you and he will be the best boyfriend under the god damned sun and he won't ever not believe you again so you never leave him and never suffer because of him and-

Basically, everyone is having a bad time. And people are assholes! Also so many emotions about so much lore.
