my personal timeline of zeke's family life

his dad was the kid of nursing home grandma and grandpa who died of a stroke a few years back (they met bcuz of mascot costumes and bonded over it) -> when his dad was eighteen or nineteen he got his girlfriend pregnant w/ zeke's brother and decided to marry her and have a family together -> 30ish years later zeke's brother (who would have been born in the 1970s) has moved out and started his own life and family and zeke's dad's first marriage is having issues staying together -> zeke's dad cheats on wife with high schooler and gets her pregnant around the time of the prom (going with season 14 this would be around 2008 or 2009 so his mom probably used myspace as a teen. fun fact) -> zeke's dad's first wife divorced him when she realized he cheated and so zeke was in divorce court in diapers -> zeke likely spent most of his life living with his dad as his mom was too young to take care of him -> zeke's dad meets cheryl and they get into a relationship together. zeke is 13 years old -> cheryl has a baby who may or may not be related to zeke & who is breastfeeding. brother at this time is 44 and dad is 63. zeke's mom is 30 but not currently in his life. zeke's grandmother is most likely in her mid 80s & zeke's cousin leslie is on his mom's side and probably the child of mom's older sibling (hence why he's closer in age to zeke than his dads siblings kids would be)

Riddle's controlling mother expected him to become a doctor. He was resigned to that pre-overblot, and post-overblot, when he started thinking more for himself, he thought about being a lawyer.

Something related to laws seemed perfect for him indeed, until in a conversation with MC, he realized how calm he was around children.

He and MC were still in the early stages of their dating, and the day before MC had asked him for help with a social project she was participating in. This project involved children.

MC noticed how good Riddle was with children. This was a surprise even to him, personally.

After that it didn't take long for Riddle to realize that he liked being around children.

Like, they were so genuine and sweet. Yes, they could be quite demanding and stressful at times, but nothing a serious conversation and a lot of patience couldn't solve.

Riddle soon realized that he could easily convince children by speaking softly into a conversation they could understand (sometimes offering them some candy can also help).

He feels calmer around children. Those excited smiles, those hysterical little screams of joy, the sound of little feet and shoes hitting the floor, the words coming out fast, jumbled or wrong. It's all so imperfect, but so honest at the same time...

He doesn't feel like he needs to be 100% perfect around them. And this is pure gold for him.

He already knew the basics of medicine because of his parents, and after taking care of the children, he became curious about the profession.

He took a course to see if he really liked it, and when he discovered this new passion, he dedicated himself completely.

He is an excellent pediatrician, as if they could expect nothing less from him.

The children love him as much as he loves them. They all want to see the Dr. Rosehearts.

He is kind and calm, very professional. Both children and parents feel at ease in his office.

He's the kind of doctor who gives them candy if they behave after the appointment.

Even for those parents who are visibly controlling? He secretly gives the child the candy.

This is reflected in his own relationship with his children.

He is a very calm dad. Calmer than you might imagine. He tries with all his might to avoid screaming.

Sometimes a scream or two ends up escaping, but it's very difficult for him to shout.

His daughter is afraid of injections, and most of the time he is the one who gives them. When she was a child it was especially difficult, he even cried with her.

He usually works with a specific age range of 9 to 17 years old before he had children, so it was all very new to him. He began working more with babies/toddlers after the birth of his children and excelled in that area as well, as expected from him.

oh no you guys. i’m going to spew things i’ve realized while rewatching umbrella academy. I’m realizing were all being too sucked into fanon things after being stuck without canon content for so long. We have convinced ourselves Five acts like a mean mean dude to everyone but rewatching, i’ve realized he’s only stressed and is saying things out of panicked anger, especially in s1 with the apocalypse dooming over them. he acts soft to his siblings multiple times, he’s really not as mean as we write him in fanfiction. he is a little crap though, that’s for sure, and i love him for that <3

also realizing that the siblings don’t hate five. they just literally don’t know him at all. he came back a completely different person after 17 years for the siblings, they don’t know five, he’s a stranger so of course they’re gonna be cold to him. it’s like, “i don’t know you well, but you’re always going to be my brother in the end”.

ALSO. for those who ship some of the siblings, uhm… i’ve seen a lot of you guys try to prove that they don’t see eachother as siblings and more like academy students, but they very much say in just about every episode that they see eachother as siblings. they don’t actually SAY that word by word but they say things like “she’s our sister”, or “our dad”. if they say OUR dad… bro. i’m not even going to continue, you can put it together yourself. But, i do realize why people ship the siblings. I am not defending incest shippers but with umbrella academy i can see why people have resorted to it. only 3 of the characters in the main sibling cast has romantic partners. people like shipping people, people love writing romantic relationships, but with only diego/lila, dave/klaus, and sissy/viktor, (i’m not going to count five/dolores for now) people are desperate with the need to ship the rest of the siblings with someone, and since there are only a few actual canon characters in the show that interact with our main 7, people start shipping them together… yikes. anywho, that’s all for that peice. i blame the show writers as well for shipping luther/allison, they did not have to do that, but i’m hoping it was only to convey the severity of what childhood trauma does to people.

ALSO THIS HERE SHOOK ME. I actually think Reginald cares for the siblings. i hate to say it, but it’s true. caring for them does not mean being good, though. he was a horrible father, and person, but he genuinely did care for the siblings, in a like, “being the best is the best thing for you, i will make you better, for your sake, even if you don’t know it now, you will see that i am right” kind of way.

also why has NOBODY MENTIONED THIS. in season 2 when diego first reunites with five in the asylum, while he’s walking into the visitors room, he’s staring at five with this heartfelt, soft look, and then says “five…” in the most soft spoken voice ever 😭 your honor i love them

ALSO UGHHH THIS. IM GOING TO FREAK OUT ABOUT CAMERAWORK AND METAPHORS HERE SO BARE WITH ME. we as a fandom complain about the lack of flashbacks five has due to his ptsd. we’ve seen his first flashback since getting back to his family in s1 during the van scene when he gets triggered by those kids playing and starts thinking about his own childhood, i’m guessing. i ate that scene up, and was sad to see that be one of the only deeply vulnerable scenes he has in the season, and during my first watch i thought they’d never bring it back up. but they do!! i may be stupid for not realizing but whatever. in season 2, when five is trying to explain at elliot’s with all his siblings around that another apocalypse is coming, everyone starts talking about each other. as someone who studies film and camerawork, i love this scene. we see the camera focus on five as it slowly zooms in. it doesn’t switch scenes at all as the siblings voices overlap and echo over eachother. this whole scene conveys him getting overwhelmed and he starts to zone out, starting to think of the nuclear war he saw his siblings in. the scenes of the war start quickly switching through, showing many different scenes of it before it switches back to five, who says “guys, you all die. i want to forget it but i can’t” which just UGH its so well done there. if you think about it, he was starting to slip into another flashback. he was triggered by talking about their deaths in the war but was handling it well until the siblings started fighting, where we see the overlapping voices happen. it portrays him losing control and being unable to pull it back together with too much going on for him to focus on grounding himself. we DO however, see that five was able to pull himself out before he fell too deep into the flashback. i love how they show this through them still having the scene showing the war, but then fives voice starts talking over the scene which is still focusing on the war as if he was pushing it back and forcing himself to come back to the present.

i have so many fucking THOUGHTS about the war of eras trio and about Wind being older in the war of eras than he is in lu (and yes yes i know it’s not canon but a man can dream and headcanon okay 😭)

i just have so many thoughts about them meeting out of order. Like Wind at 13/14 meets Time and Wars at [redacted] and 27, but when he’s in the war I headcanon he’s like 17, and he meets a 11/12 yo Mask and a 19ish year old Wars. and he KNOWS them! These are his brothers! They were almost like father figures to him because they were so much older than him when he saw them last! But Mask and Captain Link have never met this kid before in their lives, and he can’t tell them anything without changing the course of their futures. So he has to sit there silently while two people he loves sit just out of reach. He has to look at Wars and NOT see Wars, he has to be a big brother to Mask without thinking about how much he misses Time’s advice and comfort because he could accidentally change their future and his own past with a single fuck up

And Wars and Time first meeting ‘Tune’ before Wind? That definitely hurts for them too. I mean Tune would’ve been an older brother to Mask and now Time is old enough to somewhat reasonably be Wind’s FATHER? That’s definitely fucking weird. And of course they’d miss the kid they knew, and every time they look at Wind they’ll see the hero from the war and see how much Wind will grow up, but they have each other. Wars and Time have each other, and yeah it’s definitely weird that Time is now the older one, but they have each other and they KNOW each other

Wind has no one, because he met them out of order. They’re RIGHT THERE, but he’s still alone, and he doesn’t have someone else to talk to about it

every time I remember that the hit show supernatural made God, the literal God from the Bible, canonically bisexual but couldn’t do the same with a random guy who hunts monsters it actually makes me feel physically ill.. like blasphemy is okay but we draw the line at making the main character a little bit queer because it would “upset the heterosexuals men”? okay ig… and it’s so funny to me that they tried SO bad to make dean like really really straight and macho and a manly womanizer (I mean dude has literal porn brain and is obsessed with cars and is a film nerd) And still is the number 1 bissexual boy.. I mean no one that into cowboys is 100% straight 🙄 and if they actually wanted him to be that much of a cishet guy WHY would they make him have a codependent homosexual friendship with his best friend for more than a decade ?? and we have so much subtext to corroborates it that it’s actually insane.

and it’s also rlly funny to me that sam would be the most obvious choice for a queer storyline. like i’m not sure this is true but i heard somewhere that he actually was supposed to like be lgbt and that it’s implied in the show he’s pan bc he basically have sex w/ everyone and doesn’t care (like monsters and stuff). i wholeheartedly disagree bc sure he hited a demon and a werewolf and a kitsune and God knows what more But it still were just women and for me he’s still just straight 💀 we do have gabriel however and i would say that’s a valid argument but i don’t actually like them together because of the whole torturing-sam-every-tuesday-over-and-over-again but it’s still a good take ig. again this is just my opinion But anyways doesn’t matter my point Is that sam always felt like a freak and wanted to be normal and like was more open minded and “less-macho-toxic-behavior” than dean. he was a theater kid and talked about his feelings and all. STILL THO dean went and become The bissexual icon (Not Sam, Dean!!). and the fact that he was more manly actually only emphasized to his sexuality (and him being closeted) and sam being the straight one, and bare with me here. as sam winchester once wisely said “well you are kind of butch they probably think you're compinsating.” (to dean asking why people always assumed they were gay) and like this is so true, sam always felt comfortable in himself and like his nerdier and less cool strong man personality. But dean, oh, dean, no, no, no. and it could all be linked to john. we know how much dean wanted to gain his father approval and respect, all he ever wanted was for john to be proud of him. so he’d listen to the same music as john, same clothes… and so on. but when we really see a glance of him, we realize he’s actually much more “““girly””” (sorry for the term i lacked a better one) than he shows, Especially when compared to sam—who’s supposed to be the more girly one (again sorry for the term lol) or whatever. dean canonically likes taylor swift, chick flick films, actually liked when a woman made him wear underwear, the bailarinas shoe were “speaking to him” in that one ep of cursed objects, and so on. and every time he makes fun of sam for doing something not-manly-enough (like drinking lemon water or drinking from tiny coups) he eventually goes and do the same thing 😭 and i’m 100% sure that the writers just thought “haha funny scene this really straight deadly man does something not so convencional/more feminine(?) haha comedy relief time!!” but it actually just made him have a whole perfect queer background developed in the series. specially with the fact that He Does Overcompensate. why is he always flirting with women, why is he so butch and scary, always talking about straight sex and so on? because he’s really just deep in the closet. and it makes so much sense with john being his father, with him having to hunt two lesbians nuns in his 17 bday, always having to be strong and macho and cool and perfect—and therefore straight. even without cas, dean really does immaculate the bissexual experience and i’m so sorry but this is just true.

and now pointing to the subtext that i mentioned in the first paragraph (lol i can’t believe i’m making a whole rant as to why dean winchester is a confirmed bisexual), that whole confession to that priest where he says he wants experience new feelings, new people, FOR THE FIRST TIME. that always that the show mentioned a gay couple it ALWAYS focused on dean—not sam, DEAN. the gay hunters, the gay couple on the bar that the cupid “made”, the two cosplayers partners… the fact that every time that dean liked something it was borderline fangirl (gay) obsessive (the dr. sexy episode, that wrestler fighter). he Had a gay thing—and was all flustered about it. he flirted with a guy throughout charlie. THE MALE SIREN. the male siren like after that ep i was 100% convinced that man was not straight. he had a hot demon sumer with crowley?!!! and it’s so funny to me that not one of these things involves castiel, so if they really wanted to make dean be that straight why would they do that?? and only to dean, not even once to sam. Like. and not to mention all the homoeretic tension with benny??? sam never had a male best friend like that.. all of that and i didn’t even entered on destiel. Because this then really just confirms that he is Not straight. even if he wasn’t In Love with cas, they had something going on and the fact that if cas was a girl it would 100% be canon and filmed and Everyone would ship—and I really mean everyone—it just makes me go fucking insane. they could’ve had it all. the fanfic episodes, the parallels between dean and cas and “real couples”, ruby and cas duality and the fact that sam indeed had a relationship w/ her. TickleTober Day 18 - Tickle Fight

~Oh my yeah SAME! I'm gonna time this before Apology Tour, just so the goofy sweetness doesn't feel out of place (also, I like writing the birb pining). I'm hoping we get some fluff in Ghostfuckers 🥲. I leaned heavier on the lee!Blitzø side like the req asks, but there’s definitely a tickly scrabble. Thank you for requesting, and I hope you Enjoy!~

Summary: Stolas asks if he and Blitz can try something new for the night. The simple question quickly spirals into tickly chaos as they learn what true hilarity looks (and feels) like.

“You…what?”

Blitzø did a double take at the suggestion, quirking one of his brows. What did he just say?

“W-we don't have to, of course. I'd just, you know…like to get playful.” Stolas could feel his face heat up as he repeated the words, making it hard to look the imp in the eyes. He'd just kind of blurted it out the first time; he wasn't expecting anything to come of it.

“Uh…sure? I mean, I knew you liked it rough, so it's not a giant fuckin’ surprise. I can do that, if you want to.” Blitzø’s tone was about as nonchalant as he could get, but there was a sign of care behind them.

While he’d never admit it, he did kinda want to make Stolas happy. He didn't want the bird to leave.

Stolas had asked to have a little play fight, seeing what would happen when they each tried to pin the other.

“Oh! Yes, I would like that. Do you want me to initiate, or-”

Before he could even finish speaking, Blitzø pounced, using gravity and force to wrestle the bird to the mattress. It wasn't like they hadn't been rough before; they'd just never done anything that physical without a hand somewhere else.

Stolas gasped as he was shoved down, his eyes widening with giddy surprise. He was kind of expecting to take control, but it wasn't unpleasant by far. He gently ran his hands down the shorter man’s chest, delighting in the shiver it caused.

The sounds, however, were unexpected.

“S-Stoholas- knock that shit off!” The imp tried to growl at least semi-seductively, but his voice was a few pitches too high. Odd…Stolas hadn’t done anything besides stroke his chest. Maybe he was embarrassed about liking it?

Tentatively, Stolas repeated the motion, stroking from Blitzø’s collarbones to his stomach. That time, he caught a grin tugging at the red-skinned imp’s lips, his stomach quivering beneath the touch. Oh. Oh!

“Are you perhaps ticklish, Blitzy?”

That single question sent all the giddy, not-used-to-soft-shit panic alarms off in Blitzø’s head. He tried to snatch Stolas’s wrists, but the bird fought back for once, fluttering his fingers beneath the imp’s outstretched arm. Damn it, why’d he always have to take his shirt off so quickly?

Blitzø jerked back, Stolas quickly following. Stolas caught his wrist to keep him from falling off the bed, giving the imp enough time to squeeze the bird’s thigh. A sound between a groan and a giggle left his mouth, causing a competitive fire to light in his eyes. Oh, it was on!

The pair wrestled with each other, each trying to get the upper hand in the tickly tousle. Blitzø was using brute strength, trying to pin Stolas before he was overpowered. The bird would just target any exposed spot when that happened, fluttering his fingers over them to see his “it’s complicated” partner's lips twitch. Retaliation was swift, the pokey tip of Blitzø’s tail teasing wherever it could reach.

After two solid minutes of strangled yelps, giggles, and lots of manhandling, Stolas managed to straddle the thrashing imp and pin his arms above his head. He could have accomplished it much sooner with his powers, but that just didn’t seem fair to him.

Blitzø thrashed like a wild animal beneath the taller demon, a feral scowl on his face. In his eyes, however, Stolace could see the giddiness he was trying to suppress. “G-get the fuck offa me, you feathered fucking asshole!”

“I don’t think I will, darling. This seems much more…amusing~” The word alone wasn’t anything special, but that tone… Let’s just say Blitzø’s heart felt like it was trying to eject out his throat.

Stolas started out soft, testing the waters. Gentle, fluttering fingers trailed along Blitzø’s stomach, tracing lazing circles around his navel. A gurgling sound rumbled in the imp’s throat – an adorable attempt to keep from giggling. Stolas felt his heart flutter at the sight.

“Aww, does it tickle, Blitzy? Does it make you want to giggle and squirm like the adorable little baby you are?~” Stolas teased, unable to stop himself from going a little overboard. While it was definitely over the top, it seemed to do the trick, causing Blitzø’s cheeks to burn.

“Sh-shuhut- fuck! Shut up!” The short man cursed the giggle that escaped him, thrashing twice as hard beneath the gentle touch. He refused to react so quickly. He wasn’t weak, and he’d prove it whenever necessary. Apparently, he deemed the tail-end of a tickle fight necessary.

“You can laugh, you know. I promise you that I won’t judge.” Stolas’s tone grew soft and affectionate as he spoke. “Actually, I think I’ll find it quite adorable.”

Those words made Blitzø’s eyes widen and mind race. It was…it was an angle. Had to be. Why else would a literal prince be so affectionate towards a scummy imp like him?

“Shut your fucking- ACK! G-gehehet ohoff!” The imp’s dam finally burst when Stolas dipped one feathery finger into his navel, twirling and scratching against the sensitive skin. His giggles were loud and punchy, the sound a bit higher and sweeter than his normal speech.

“Hmm. Since you’re being so mean, I don’t think I will. I’m quite content to stay right here, teasing your cute little belly button,” he hummed, enjoying himself as he teased the imp. There was something about the light and gentle teasing that just made it all so fun.

“Gohoho fuhuhuck youhurself, smuhuhug prihihihick!” Sure, Blitzø was probably digging his own grave by mouthing off, but he wasn’t just gonna lie there and take it! He kept on squirming, even though he was starting to tire himself out with all the movement.

“What a naughty mouth, saying such things to me. I think that deserves some punishment.” With a knowing chuckle, Stolas’s hand traveled upwards, grazing Blitzø’s ribs. The imp had always gotten squirmy when he touched there; now the bird knew why.

“GAAH! W-wahahAHAHAIT! FUHUHUCK!” Blitzø’s back arched off the bed as his poor ribs were targeted, thrashing as wildly as his tired body would allow. He could practically feel his blood boiling beneath the skin on his cheeks.

The imp was losing his Satan-forsaken mind. It had been years since he was properly tickled, and even then, it was nothing like that.

What he was experiencing in that moment were the affectionate tickles of someone who just wanted to see him laugh and be happy for the fun of it. No matter how wild his denial pool was, that truth floated up to the top.

His tail was a little narc, twitching and occasionally thumping against the mattress. Stolas found it endearing, letting out hooty chuckles when he noticed.

“It seems like someone’s enjoying himself~”

The worst part was, Blitzø couldn’t deny it. He really was enjoying himself, as overwhelming and crazy as the touch was. It felt nice to truly laugh without any expectations or true thought going into it – just a mirthful reaction that somehow shut his brain off.

It took a solid ten minutes of the “torture,” but finally, Blitzø caved. He had tears of mirth beading in the corners of his eyes, and his sides ached from laughing so hard. Barely coherent, he screeched out their designated safeword.

“H-HOHORSERAHADISH!”

Stolas stopped instantly when he heard their safeword, knowing his imp had to be truly exhausted to use it. He released the panting, disoriented man’s arms, instead lying down to cuddle up next to him.

Blitzø usually grumbled and “protested” the cuddles, but he couldn’t bring himself to that time; the back pats and stomach rubs he was getting from Stolas were too good, and the man was so warm. If he was going to be embarrassed, he was at least gonna sleep well and feel happy.

“Thank you for trusting me with that, Blitz.” There was that soft tone again, shaking the foundation of Blitzø’s trusting policy. He seriously needed to go to a therapist… Well, if he could find one that didn’t make him wanna kill them and then himself..

“I didn’t trust you with shit…” Blitzø was lying, and Stolas knew it. Hell, anyone could’ve guessed it by the lack of biting venom in his tone. He truly did enjoy that…

Stolas went to argue, but noticed the imp’s droopy eyelids and coiled tail; he was on the verge of passing out. The bird didn’t want to interfere with that. He simply kissed the man’s bald head before snuggling close, letting his own eyes close.

“Goodnight, Blitzy. I’ll see you in the morning…”

Thinking about how troll Jim would have to adjust to living as a troll and such

This is basically going off of just trollhunters show canon after part 3

A big thing I think would be his love of cooking. It’s always been his way of showing love to his mom and friends, and now that he can’t properly taste human food without gagging, he can’t properly cook anymore. Blinky would have to teach him proper troll nutrition and Jim would probably feel embarrassed that he’s resorted to eating dish ware 😭

I feel like it’s not really acknowledged how not only can Jim no longer participate in human life and stuff, but people would also notice?? I imagine barbara would have to claim he went off to some boarding school on a scholarship in like the UK 😭 I can’t imagine that his classmates wouldn’t notice he’s gone tbh. Toby, Claire, and strickler probably have their hands full making excuses for Jim’s absence

On the topic of Jim not being able to go to school…. Can we acknowledge that bro is still like 16-17 💀 there’s no way that blinky would let him permanently halt his education! Blinky would read up on grade 12 textbooks and become Jim’s private tutor down in trollmarket. Jim would probably claim that being the trollhunter should take priority over algebra but Blinky (and Barbara) would INSIST that being a half troll is no excuse to become a high school dropout 😌

Strickler would definitely be a big help for Jim. Of course Jim can’t turn back into a human but Strickler still knows what it’s like to be stuck between the nature and worlds of a troll and human. He would talk with Jim through his new emotions and instincts and teach him how to cope with it. Neither Barbara nor blinky would really know how to help in this department because neither of them have had to be anything besides just a human or just a troll

At first Toby would think that Jim’s new form is really cool but he would quickly realize that it’s very hard on Jim and that his daily life with his best buddy isn’t necessarily over but it’ll never be the same. All of Jim’s friends probably have a absolutely butchered sleep schedule from trying to spend time with Jim after dark 💀

Barbara would spend a lot of time talking to strickler and blinky about their basically 3 way coparenting situation of a half troll 😭💞

Arrrghh would help Jim spar in the most pacifist way possible (holding out his hands for Jim to try and punch, be a moving target for Jim to try and catch, lightly roughhousing) since Blinky isn’t really trained in battle beyond teaching from the sidelines lol
