Any event that is hosted through the venues we frequently cover should be assumed +21, unless clearly marked as “All Ages”. You will need a valid form of ID to enter these venues, even if you don’t drink.

Valid forms of ID include: Driver’s License, State Issued ID, Passport, Military ID, Merchant Mariner ID, or a paper copy of your replacement ID with the expired ID. 

(Unfortunately, if you lost your ID and only have a paper ID, most venues will not allow you in with the temporary form.)

After the events of 2020, some venues require you to present proof of vaccination to enter depending on the current health and safety guidelines. Additionally, venues can require a mask be worn if the general population is dealing with a new variant flaring up. 

So, try to keep an eye on updated protocols.

Prohibited Items

Most venues have policies against the admission of specific types of objects and accessories. 

One of the most common problems we see is related to spikes and chains. Even if these additions legitimately cannot be removed from a piece of your outfit, some venues will flat out turn you away for them. 

Most venues will also turn away guests with water bottles (yes, even if they are empty), as well as self defense items. 

The only venue thus far who has directly confirmed they will hold onto your self defense items at the door is The Crocodile in Seattle, WA.

17 January 1911

The Scarecrow; or, The Glass of Truth by Percy MacKaye was first performed on Broadway at the Garrick Theatre. It starred Frank Reicher in the lead as Lord Ravensbane.

It was originally published in 1908 and had been performed before it appeared on Broadway. It was loosely based on the poem Feathertop by Nathaniel Hawthorne, but MacKaye deviated from the source material considerably. The play takes place in late 17th century Massachusetts, not far from where the Salem Witch Trials were taking place, although the actual language used in the play is sort of a faux-17th century English mixed with then-modern English.

Gorgeous 1889 Queen Anne Victorian in Omaha, NE for under $500k. 7bds, 2.5ba, 3,656 sq ft, with central a/c, $430k.

Look at the floors- the entrance foyer looks like it has original tile, and the new wood flooring has inlaid around the perimeter. Plus, all the wood is natural - no paint-overs.

Look at the millwork on the stairs, the wainscoting, and built-in bench. The wood looks like it's been refurbished.

Cute small sitting area in the turret tower.

They decided to go with a dark theme, but the house gets plenty of light. Look at the re-done fireplace. Beautiful original design.

This is nice, the dining room has a door to the porch.

This room looks like a dining room, also. Maybe the other room is supposed to be the 2nd sitting room, but this room has the beautiful built-in cabinet and look at the original fireplace.

The kitchen has hi-end appliances, but hasn't been given one of the horrid modern remodels. It clearly has the original footprint of the room and minimal modernization.

It still has modern cabinetry, but they did their best to keep it as original as possible- they left the brick wall and stove pipe opening where the original stove was, and put in open top shelving. Look at the staff stairs on the left, too.

That looks like a refurbished original cabinet in the corner. I would definitely have to ditch the gray walls, though.

Love this original looking sink in the guest powder room.

Beautiful wainscoting and millwork going up the stairs.

They went full-on funky with this bedroom. Looks like an original light, though.

I wish they would've papered the whole feature wall in here. There's a nice curved wall and I guess the bed goes against the black wall w/the 2 light fixtures.

This nice, especially if you need an art studio.

Not bad, they did a vintage-y redo in here. So, it needs some wallpaper and decor.

This bedroom needs some floor work. I would sand and repaint it.

The other bath is smaller and all it needs is some decor.

Nice laundry space in the basement, but that's not the best part of the basement.

They made an exercise room, but still not the best part.

Check this out- with a little work, this can be the coolest mini theatre or TV room. A sunken cinema. And they left the old theater seating.

Look at all the wonderful porches. It definitely appears that there's a big unfinished attic w/the turret. What potential. Wish they would've at least shown it unfinished.

There's parking, but no garage. (Look at all the windows in the attic space, plus that turret.)

Phoenix Wright: 6/10 he’s nothing to write home about but he took a musical theater class or two in college so he can keep a beat at least.

Apollo Justice: 4/10 he wouldn’t suck so bad if he could just loosen up.

Athena Cykes: 9/10 very fit. does cardio. has taken some dance classes for fun.

Maya Fey: 8/10 what she lacks in skill she makes up for in spirit

Pearl Fey: 6/10 has the physical abilities to dance but not the confidence. also has very little reference for how she could be dancing

Trucy Wright: 8/10 performer with good dexterity for sleight of hand. Music isn’t really her area of expertise but she does well enough. enjoys playing just dance with Athena

Miles Edgeworth: 3/10 he can do one dance and it’s the Steel Samurai season 4 ending credits dance and he does it flawlessly but nothing else. took ballroom dancing classes with the von Karmas but he wasn’t particularly adept.

Franziska von Karma: 4/10 she found the aforementioned ballroom dancing classes tedious but damn if she wasn’t going to perform in them perfectly. she can’t do anything else and refuses to try

Godot: 7/10 he can do a killer tango

Klavier Gavin: 2/10 despite being an internationally famous rockstar, when performing he usually has a guitar in his hands so he’s never needed to dance. he cannot dance. he doesn’t particularly want this info getting out

Simon Blackquill: 6/10 danced with Athena a fair bit growing up. knows several anime dances

Nahyuta Sahdmadhi: 7/10 i haven't met this guy yet but my friend tells me they think he'd know a fair bit of traditional dances.

Winston Payne: 0/10 or 10/10 no in between. he's either literal garbage or so bad it loops back around to incredible. he had insane disco game in the 70s but now all the rookies laugh at him.

Larry Butz: 8/10 best dancer between him, Phoenix and Miles. he’s gotta be getting his girlfriends somehow

Dick Gumshoe: 5/10 a little too clumsy and can't keep a beat well but bonus points for his enthusiasm

Ema Skye: 1/10 doesn't even try

Kay Faraday: 10/10 incredible dexterity and physical ability. lots of whimsy and spirit.

Sebastian Debeste: 3/10 despite the baton, no real sense of rhythm

Manfred von Karma: 4/10 the one to sign Franziska and Miles up for ballroom dance lessons

Matt Engarde: 2/10 he got the jammin samurai killed so I don’t think he can jam

Dahlia Hawthorne: 8/10 she can boogie. gets down at clubs and parties. arguably the most normal about dancing

Sister Iris: 7/10 had to learn to boogie to properly emulate her sister but she isn’t quite as suited for it and has much less experience

Kristoph Gavin: 1/10 he likes watching but he doesn’t dance at all

Ryunosuke Naruhodo: 10/10 the most beautiful dance of deductions you've ever seen in your life

Susato Mikotoba: 10/10 while she's not particularly skilled with a koto, she learned to dance from the best

Herlock Sholmes: 10/10 THE dancer. THE ONE AND ONLY great detective known for his dance of deductions

Iris Wilson: 10/10 raised by the aforementioned one and only herlock sholmes

Yujin Mikotoba: 10/10 took to tap dancing incredibly well during his time in britain

Kazuma Asogi: 6/10 he's not particularly good but he somehow makes it look cool anyway

Barok Van Zieks: 7/10 used to be much better, before the professor kililngs he actually enjoyed dancing a fair bit. took classes growing up. retained a lot of the muscle memory

Gina Lestrade: 6/10 she doesn't have any training but if she did she'd do fairly well

Tobias Gregson: 2/10 he's the best investigator at scotland yard according to Sholmes, so you can imagine how bad the rest of the yard is at dancing

Maria Gorey: 8/10 she can dance just fine she just has no interest. the one time they got her to dance Herlock had very courteously offered his body up for dissection. "AFTER I'M DEAD, WOMAN!"

Albert Harebrayne: 1/10 he can't. he tries. Barok tried to teach him. he understands the theory! he knows the steps! he can't do it. he can't.

• So avery, xander and max were big fans of inside out 2 since it was first released.

• All of them had a watch party of the first movie a day before the second one got released.

• They roped the whole family in to watch the movie

• And actually everyone wanted to watch but grayson needed some persuasion

• ALL OF THEM DRESSED AS DIFFERENT EMOTIONS JEKEKEKEKEKE I did that with my friends and it was sooo fun

• They did that one trend where you do " this is me before the movie and this is me after "

• Avery dressed as embarrassment, jameson as sadness I low-key ship them

• Grayson as ennui (idk he just gives the vibe) and he would just wear a plain purple suit still hot though

• Xander as anger and max as disgust ( they're friendship goals😮‍💨)

• Nash as joy and libby as fear( she just added her own charm to the dress and wore a whole black chocker and stuff and a bit of purple)

• They watched the movie at the hawthorne theater( don't ask me how, ask them she's literally a billionaire)

• During the anxiety attack scene in the movie( if you've seen it) all of them are at least a bit teary eyes and grayson cried but silently and jameson was sitting next to him and just held his hand and they never said anything about it but he knows he appreciated his help

• They all ABSOLUTELY HATED ANXIETY AND SO DID I

If anyone remembers Xander’s line from The Final Gambit about Jameson Hips-Don’t-Lie Hawthorne then it should come as no surprise that as a kid, Jameson’s favorite movie was Happy Feet. He was ecstatic when the sequel came to theaters back in 2011. On movie nights, he and Xander would marathon Happy Feet and Happy Feet Two back to back and they loved jumping up and down on the couch when their favorite songs came about (although Nan and Nash told them not to many times before) and then sing aloud excitedly. They also loved to mimic the characters’ dance moves and eventually, they learned the full choreography. It’s part of the reason they took tap dance lessons and later on Irish stepdance. Nowadays, Jameson still likes to use those moves when he’s in the middle of a crowd and becomes the center of attention.
