@i-wish-to-rule-this-world
Sigyn stood within the throne room of Asgard, the All-father staring down at her, his Queen at his side and Thor on the other. Loki however was at her side, her father stood beside the Asgardian royal family. Why was there a meeting? Well, it was about their relationship, naturally Odin wanted an alliance. "I am not just an alliance, or someone who can give Loki a child" she explained sternly, no, she wasn't a mere pawn. "I am Sigyn of Vanaheim, Princess by title and royal by blood, and I am my own grown woman" confidence oozed from her tongue, that even Frigga couldn't help the smile at the younger, she knew a leader when she saw one.
Warm eyes glanced to Loki, allowing her features to soften, just as they did every time she looked at him. "I choose Loki not because he is a Prince of Asgard, but because I love him for who he is as a man, as his own being." She explained "When he laughs, I laugh .. his ups are my own and his downs are also mine. To meet a charismatic man is one thing, but to meet your best friend in the most charismatic of them all, is something else entirely apart." Sigyn spoke truthfully, "I love him for all I am, and all I'll ever be"

If I Killed Someone For You (Alec Benjamin)
Would you love me more/If I killed someone for you/Would you hold my hand/They're the same ones that I used
"the first 2/3 of the song are just confessing to this hypothetical murder and trying to gauge the response and supportiveness from the "you" in the song— and THEN it hits hard with the verse: "You have to understand that The one I killed is me Changing what I was For what you wanted me to be I followed your direction Did everything you asked I hope that makes you happy Cause there's just no turning back" and it's just. holy shit. i. i don't even know that to say past that. it's just so. wow. like the fact that the entire song is seeking comfort, aid, and approval for this theoretical murder, approval that seems to never come based on the tone of the song...... truly feels so much like grieving the futility of changing yourself for someone who isn't even listening. incredible blorbo song and hits hard. definitely fucks me up at a solid 8/10."
Loki (The Mechanisms)
Flashes like camera bulbs fire in my brain/Is this truly me, am I going insane?/In faint bloody flashes I watch people die/And if that was me, then who am I?
"This one has some context behind it, the album is Norse mythology-inspired scifi and Loki had been helping Odin build a train that would travel through space, specifically a wormhole in space. Loki then attempted to blow up the train and killed Baldr in the process. She was sentenced to death and executed, except Odin lied to everyone and did not execute her. Odin instead fucked up her memories so that she (Odin) could still use Loki's knowledge of the train. This song is Loki grasping for her memories and being unable to keep hold of them. A few songs later we see Sigyn, her wife, finding her and Loki doesn't know who she is"
"JUST. WOW"

@emeraldxphoenix asked: "Who is this Aidan Wilde?"
All things considered she's adjusted to these unscheduled drop-ins fairly well, so when the faint atmospheric change that tends to precede the God of Stories' arrival fills her hotel room, she's already turning to face the spot in which their form appears seconds later.
But the immediate question, and the look on their face - Norns, but she's seen that expression so many times - surprises her.
To her credit, Sigyn at least tries not to smile.
"When you said you were overseeing all the timelines, Loki, I will confess that I presumed you would not have time to watch my every move."

I'm going to work on updating this blog a little. Granted I'm currently still stuck away in a motel and trying to recover, so my photoshop skills will still have to wait, but this blog will be getting an upgrade! In other news... I know I've been posting some Anti Loki Series, Anti Sylvie and Anti Sylki things on here, but as admin of this blog, I'm allowed to have my opinion too. Now, I'm definetly not into ship-bashing or bashing others for liking ships I don't like. Everyone is entitled to like or don't like things, but I think I can speak for the Logyn & Sigyn fandom who only keeps getting bashed on by trolls and haters through confessions and anon hate. I'll address this issue in a separate post later on, but I don't want these people to scare some out of our small little fandom. We already struggle enough as is. So when I get this blog updated, I'm going to start kicking up topic debates, polls, edits, and more once again. :)

I find it interesting that of the Norse gods, only the Vanir are given myths of a detailed courtship and wedding. The Aesir couples that mythology mentions: Odin and Frigg, Thor and Sif, Loki and Sigyn, Bragi and Idunn, Sunna and her barely-seen husband, are all mentioned as married right off the bat. Recorded mythology never describes how they came together, they're just said to be married, and sometimes said to love each other. The only exception is Saxo's Hodr/Nanna, but Saxo liked to mix and match mythological motifs anyway, so the original myth could just be Hodr lusted for Nanna and tried to abduct her, thus eventually leading to Baldr's murder and Vali being born to avenge the kinslaying. (There is a Scandinavian ballad motif that's also present in England called Svend i Rosengard/Sven in the Rose Garden, where one brother slays the other and is forced to confess to his deed after being questioned by the mother. The motive is always something trivial or even cryptic like, "it was for the cutting of a twig that would never be a tree", and the killing itself is sometimes an accident where one brother's knife slips, but sometimes the two brothers are fighting over the same woman.)
The Vanir couples do have detailed marriage stories. Skadi and Njord have a mostly comedic myth about their marriage and separation, and Frey has an elaborate myth about his longing for Gerd. Freyja has no details about her courtship, but there's also the theory that she and Odr are just doublets of Odin and Frigg, so they don't really need a marriage myth.
Conversely, in Greco-Roman mythology, for all their ups and downs and questionable ethics by today's standards, almost every divine couple gets a myth about their marriage. You have couples like Zeus and Hera, but also more minor gods like Vertumnus and Pomona or Cupid and Psyche. Even Cronus and Rhea get a myth where they wrestle another divine couple for control over Olympus.
See, that's a difference I always found kind of funny, too. I like to imagine there might have been some courtship and marriage myths on the Aesir side, too, perhaps even very dramatic ones considering all the implied drama between, say, Odin and Frigg and Thor and Sif, or even Bragi and Idun. But, ofc, even if that was the case, we'd probably never learn about them. Then again, from the Aesir (and numbered-among-the-Aesir ;)) we get two very romantic story elements like Sigyn's bowl of venom and Nanna's all-too-literal heartbreak, so...
Speaking of Nanna, I love that you mentioned the version of Balder's death in Gesta Danorum because 1. I actually adore that version, lol, GD!Hod is such an adorable anxious mess of a guy and they just keep putting him in situations (even Saxo's moralizing narrator won't let him catch a break!), 2. I was reading some Beowulf-related stuff recently and kinda started crack-theorizing that Saxo put Hod's eumerized form and his story where he did just because Danish Kings' Names Start With An H, 3. there's a very interesting work by Anatoly Liberman, Some Controversial Aspects of the Myth of Baldr, that, iirc, does propose a "tragic love triangle with Hod as the bad guy" origin for Balder's death. (... also, 4. if you don't know the Danish comic Valhalla by Peter Madsen, please read it because it's amazing AND the way it combines Saxo and the Eddas in the issue The Ballad of Balder is just *chef's kiss*)
As for the Vanir, leaving aside the eternal Frigg/Freya problem, what always stuck out to me the most is that, while there's a lot of elements ranging from the unusual to the bizarre to the clearly comedic in Skadi's wedding (look, the woman is the one who dons the armor and goes on the bridal quest, while the man waits to be won! But she can only choose him by his feet! Oh, and now she's gone and accidentally picked one guy when she wanted another! And Loki's tied a goat to his...!), Freyr's doesn't, imo, really fare that much better. I mean, sure, it's not unusual for a nobleman to send his servant to court the girl he wants to marry for him, especially when he has good reason to think the girl's family won't exactly welcome him with open arms... but you wouldn't really expect him to go from lounging around sighing and brooding and leaving his family in various states of concerned "????" to immediately losing possesion of his Awesome Magical Sword as soon as he finally resolves to just send his servant to court the girl. Even with all the obvious differences, it honestly reminds me a bit of Gunther, Siegfried, and Brunhild, specifically in the Nibelungenlied. Except I think even there Gunther might have been actually a little more proactive... and the consequences of his choices were a bit more, so to say, direct...
There's also something to say about how the Aesir have, as far as we know, only jotun lovers while the Vanir have jotun wives, I think. Or rather, I know a lot has been said about it. But I got really into those theories years ago, so now everything's a bit tangled up in my head and I'm not quite sure anymore of what I read and what I made up myself, lol.

What Norse myth books have you read already? I need new recs x
I don't think any of these are particularly new. Trying to make a list of all I've read. And granted, my attention span has gotten worse over the years.
The first book featuring the norse pantheon in any form I read was Neil Gaiman's "American Gods".
There's Diana Wynne Jones' "Eight Days of Luke" which served as inspiration for "American Gods", according to Neil Gaiman. Children's book.
There's also "Odd and the Frost Giants" by Neil Gaiman and his "Norse Mythology" retelling. Children's book.
I LOVED Louie Stowell's Loki: A Bad God's Guide to Being Good, if you have children or trouble getting through books, get this! It's hilarious and smart. I enjoyed it as an adult. Diary of a Wimpy Kid meets Norse mythology.
I enjoyed the first two books by Joanne Harris as a teen, "Runemarks" and "Runelight." The first two (esp. the first) are fun and I love the Bart Simpson-esque portrayal of Loki. Unfortunately, the quality of later books focusing on Loki is terrible.
I unfortunately read Joanne Harris' "The Testament of Loki", first chapter is interesting, but he's unwillingly sharing a body with an annoying teen girl, and the way Harris deals with eating disorders is really bad. It's awful. Don't recommend.
I think Lyra Wolf's The Nine Worlds rising series are an easy read. I think she has a great comedic voice and the books are worth reading just for that, and I like the toxic Odin/Loki relationship. I do have complaints about them, such as the anachronistic language (e.g. Loki knowing what a Chihuahua is), and that Sigyn doesn't have flaws other than caring too much for her no-good brother. She also has the women are either saints or evil witches dichotomy going on in terms of portrayals of goddesses. I think the stakes are good in these books so that you keep reading them.
I enjoyed Cat Rector's "The Goddess of Nothing at All" A LOT. While it doesn't have my ideal morally gray portrayal of Sigyn yet, it did make Sigyn more complex than others have. I also like this book mainly because I am a sadist and I love whump and there's a lot of suffering on it. It's so sad you won't be laughing at the myth!Loki memes. I would avoid this book if you don't like whump. I do have criticisms about it, such as her Loki was a bit too nice for my taste and could have been worse (making him justified for cutting Sif's hair feels forced; he can still be a loveable and tragic asshole, you know?). But my tragedy-loving self loves this!
I was looking forward to Genevieve Gornichec's "The Witch's Heart", it has a cute start of Loki giving Angrboda her burnt heart, but she criminally made Angrboda and Loki boring as fuck. Angrboda conveniently doesn't remember anything and just fumbles her way inside a cave for a large portion of the book. And she is the POV we're following. WE ARE STUCK IN A CAVE SHE WON'T LEAVE. Loki's portrayal in this is one of the most cisheteronormative I've seen yet, and it's surprising the author managed this in a story where Loki's myth hijinks ensue and wears a dress (he impatiently yanks off because he felt emasculated). The author thinks having a lean build and no beard=queer. Loki only shows interest in women and feels emasculated while wearing a dress. I also happen to hate Skadi and her weird castration fetish in this book. Bitch wouldn't shut up about it. The good thing about this book is that there's no anachronisms, and I liked Hel's portrayal.
So confession, I had Kindle Unlimited trial briefly, and I read a bunch of Loki books, such as Lyra Wolf's.
I think(?) I read A.B. Frost's "Father of Monsters". It was quite short, but has nice illustrations, and Loki's endearing, even if a little shit. That both takes one for the team and also endangers the team.
I read (partially) some book about Loki escaping his punishment early and rejoining the Aesir, but it was criminally boring (it never described how Loki got out of situations and the prose was incredibly VAGUE) and seemed geared towards Norse pagans(Which I AM NOT). Had a spiritual conflict-avoiding vibe. It was called "Loki" but forgot the author's name and I accessed for free by Kindle Unlimited. I also didn't like that it referred to cops as "Tyr's warriors". FUCK COPS.
I have not finished reading Mike Vasich's "Loki". I think the man thinks MCU Loki is accurate to Norse mythology, because that's the only Loki I could picture (and he was adopted by Odin). And man spent way too long describing sensing "power levels" that I ended up getting bored and stopped reading. I've also seen some amusing excerpt from another of his books I have not read. But, if you're an author, don't spend a lot of time describing power levels, FFS! You'll bore the fuck out of your readers.

Loki's Kids I Want in the MCU
Ranking Loki's children in the Norse Mythology in the order I want to see them in the MCU. (There are a few that have already been in the MCU, albeit not canonically as Loki's children, so I'm going to rank them in the order I would like them to come back (or not).)
Sleipnir (8-legged horse): I want him the most. He has shown up in some of the comics that I read, so it's possible he has already made an appearance in the MCU and I just missed him. (And I'm getting mixed up with the comics.) But I want him to come (or come back), and I want it to be acknowledged that he is Loki's child, since none of Loki's mythical children that have shown up in the MCU have explicitly or canonically been Loki's children. One, Sleipnir's origin is the best myth. And two, as far as I know, the only one where Loki is explicitly the one to give birth to his child.
Fenrir (the wolf): We have seen him already, in Ragnarok. He fell off a waterfall, and then they blew up the planet. I don't have any theories on how he could still be alive, but I don't need one. He's still alive. I'm not looking him up on doesthedogdie dot com; he's still alive. He's a good boy. He's a good dog, he's adorable.
Jormangandr (the world serpent): I just like snakes, yo! And so does Thor and so does Loki! And Jormangandr is a big snake and I like him! And ultimately this is just the order of how I like animals, it goes sheep, dogs, snakes. And Loki didn't give birth to a sheep, so Sleipnir is taking that place.
(and 5.) Narfi and Vali (his children with Sigyn): I have mixed feelings about this. One, I want them to come, because it's interesting. I don't know how I feel about Sigyn showing up this late in the game, but Narfi and Vali can show up. That's fine. Problem with this is that one of them is enchanted by Odin to kill the other, and then that one's entrails are used to tie Loki up before he gets poisoned by the serpent right before Ragnarok. And that sucks. I don't want to watch that. I've already written it (Bring You Safely Home to Me), I don't need to watch it. So if they show up, I'm gonna be like Uh oh, we're in the endgame now. And not like Avengers: Endgame. How's Loki gonna get out of this one? (Spoiler alert: He does, but only at the very end of the world, and then he dies, like for real, for real.)
6. And last but not least, Hela. Because fuck Hela. I don't want her coming back. Cate Blanchett was gorgeous as Hela, and that was great, but I don't need her back. She was kind of meh as a villain, and ultimately, she had her comeuppance. She slaughtered the Warriors Three; what the fuck was that about? Good-bye! You're done now. You played your role, you caused Ragnarok, and now we're done with you. So when I say that she's only at number six, I really mean she doesn't need to come back at all, that's fine.
Although, I will make a confession. In the comics, she's gay. And is married to Karnilla, the queen of the Norns (I'm pretty sure). And Karnilla's badass, she's a sorceress. In Where Mischief Lies, she was Odin's head sorceress, and was training Amora. Until shit happened and then she wasn't training Amora. (I won't spoil anything.) So if you take Where Mischief Lies as canon supplemental material for the MCU, Karnilla's already canon in the MCU. So she could just find her way down to Hel. (I don't think Hela is dead, I think she's back down in her realm where she's supposed to be.) They can get married and that's fine. I just don't want her causing shit for Thor and Loki anymore, because I'm done with that, thank you.
Also Fenrir should be down there too, and in the comics, Fenrir ends up being daddy to Kid Loki's hellhound Thori, so that's another reason why Fenrir and Hela should be alive still. So in order for Journey into Mystery to become canon in the MCU they both need to be alive still.

Confessions of Sigyn
Before meeting Loki, I had things inside me that I developed and liked.
My logical mind, quick learning from books, love for romance and beautiful things, admiration for art…
However, my feelings part was not developed.
It even got to the point where I thought I was too logical to love. I then thought that I would have to choose a husband based on my judgment. This belief was strengthened by seeing failed marriages around me, 'for love'. Logic also seemed to be a good ally in this matter.
Oh, how unaware I was back then.
When I first saw Loki… I would call it a shock. The shock of seeing someone so handsome and powerful… my heart immediately said - yes, only him. He can take care of me.
My love for Loki literally broke me apart and created me again. I would like to be the best for him. I fully tapped into the chord of my femininity. He ignited such a great feeling in me. I felt everything that had previously been only theory for me - love, passion, sexual attraction… I felt such a great desire to be good and caring for him.
I set myself a goal… to be the perfect wife for him. The best wife in the Multiverse. This is my ambition.
My life before Loki was empty.
I want to repay him for this spark of life… for making me feel this immense power of love when I saw him for the first time.
Girl died and a woman was born.
I'm proud of the fact that when people hear my name, if they know it… their first association is Loki's wife.
My love for Loki is a very important part of me. And I'm proud that my name serves as an immediate recognition of that. Other women might not be happy with their name mean to be - 'it's an addition to someone''.
But it doesn't bother me. I feel proud of it. Yes, I am Loki's wife. Yes, love for him is an essential part of me. I'm proud that by knowing my name… others know it means my love for him.
I can be mysterious to people… they speculate about me. About my family, interests, fashion… but none of them have any doubts about this one thing - that I love Loki and want to be with him as his wife, lover, mother of his children.
Everyone knows that I am faithful to him. Everyone knows that I want to protect, love, care for him and make sure he is not alone.
That's my name, Sigyn. And it always means that I love him and care about him.
And that means real victory. To love and to be loved.

🏳️🌈Loki fam headcannons: sexualities and Indetities + backstories and reasonings! :D
Loki: Genderfluid, Omnisexual. Any pronounse.
It's pretty self explanatory on why Loki is genderfluid, he just feels like it and enjoys expressing, dressing and being masculine as well as feminine.
Though he chooses to stay more masculine for obvious reasons, Norse society might have given the ladies a lot more freedom...
But that doesn't mean they didn't go through being disrespected and be called things. Loki knowing very too well how it feels like.
Loki is also omnisexual because he is attracted to every gender and sex, just has a preferences for women. *cough* blame the horse.
Angrboda: Cis female, bisexual. She/Her.
Angrboda just like Hel didn't know her sexuality, but unlike what you would think she didn't bother figuring it out.
She didn't rush it as she didn't care much about finding a partner at the time, enjoying her work a lot more.
That was until she met Loki of course. Funny enough she had met Loki while he was in female form. Falling for this version of Loki first!
But of course, pretty early on she learnt Loki mostly took the shape of a man, and already showing interests in this new force of chaos in her life she didn't mind.
So she simply decided to label herself as bisexual!
Sigyn: Cis female, pansexual, Demi-sexual. She/Her.
Sigyn just like some of us really wanted to know her sexuality out of pure curiosity, but she didn't have a lot of experience either to really know for sure.
After all she had too, like Hel, not been very social with many. Mostly with her sisters and family, because that's what felt comfortable.
Hence why she would in the end figure out she was pansexual, not only because of Loki's goofy nature and charms but because no one else really caught her attention quite like he did.
Same goes with her being demi-sexual, after meeting more people, especially Loki she figured out out she needed to really know the person on a deep level before getting it on. Which is exactly what happened between the two!
Sleipnir: Cis male, Demi-romantic. He/Him/It/Its.
Sleipnir never really felt any romantic attraction towards anyone, but did have a few crushes on his fellow horse buddies that he had grown up with in the stables.
Though he didn't dare ever to actually confess his feelings! After all, crushes don't always last.
So he labeled himself as demi-romantic!
He is still questioning his sexuality and if there's anything he is attracted to in spasific.
Fenrir: Cis male, Pansexual. He/Him.
Fenrir just like Angrboda before him was too busy with his own thing, to care for relationships! Before meeting the right person.
He might have been very young when he first met Hyrrokkin, but her personality had always been quite charming to him.
Once fenrir was bound and betrayed, he had nothing left so it seemed. Except the bond he had with Hyrrokkin. She was all that he had that felt safe, so knowing her bbes, he let her help him and at last fell for her.
Later he found out he must have been pansexual! Thanks to random conversations with Hyrrokkin.
Jormungandr: Intersex, homosexual. He/Him/They/Them/It/Its.
Jormungandr had always enjoyed womens company in a platonic way, but never in a romantic way!
No, instead he did have an attraction to the boys. One in spasific, a dragon prince!
His name was Ao bing, prince of the eastren sea. Oh boy did the world serpent fall hard for this man.
Jormungandr is also intersex which means he has both female and male reproduction organs. But it looks and functions more like a males.
So Jormungandr luckily didn't have any issues there, nor did he have any dysphoria. Funny enough he didn't even know he had a utures and overies.
Hel: Cis genderqueer, lesbian. She/Her/He/Him
Hel always took a long time to question her sexuality and gender identity for many reasons.
Not only was Hel so isolated growing up, she just didn't know who she fully was and what love was like.
She knew she was Hel, she knew she was the ruler of helheim and Loki's daughter. Just not what she could identify as.
She always admired her father, Loki, for being both masculine and feminine and still, be her father. She thought she was just like him when she was younger! But she didn't feel genderfluid.
She liked what sex she was born as and felt comfortable being referred to with feminine terms. But she also liked he/him
So once she spoke about it with Loki, expressing how she wasn't sure and he helped her understand her options, that it was okay as long as she's comfortable with whatever she thought suited her.
Because she never figured out what to label herself she went with genderqueer, genderqueer being many things! But under the non binary umbrella.
Same goes for her sexuality, having absolutely no experience with romantic relationship at the time until she met The Morrigan. Her current wife.
She often found herself confused with what she could be and it took many years for her to just simply label herself as a lesbian!
Vali: Cis male, bisexual. He/Him.
Vali always enjoyed everyones presence, so why wouldn't he love everyone of any gender or sex?
Once he was old enough he figured he wanted to label himself as bisexual! Not knowing you could do that.
Narfi: Non-binary, homosexual. They/Them/He/Him.
Narfi never liked Loki's weird shenanigans and always tried to difference himself from his father. But that isn't the only reason he found being non-binary fit him best!
He had always from a young age, expressed himself with anything he could get his hands on, no matter if it was feminine or masculine.
It never crossed his mind that what he wore ever said anything about his birth sex. And when it did, he still didn't care.
He also really enjoyed hanging around with those who identified as boys and might have gotten a few crushes who knows!
Moder: Intersex, lesbian. She/Her/It/Its.
Moder already from birth was very unique looking, after all her true form is sadly that of a deformed deer human.
So not only had her appearance been shuffled around but her inner organs had too.
Which resulted in her becoming intersex. Her reproductive organs were resembling that of a female's but it still suffered greatly!
Moder is also attracted to the ladies, never having an intrest in the boys. In her own words, she could easily take the role of a man and still be a woman.

ohh my god this story was a whole ride and a half from start to finish and I gotta run a good few laps over the smuts in this 🥵
Firstly the way you wrote this entire piece was so immersive and each character felt so accurate, especially with everyone being so quick to just barely even care about Loki's well being and being so confident that whatever's "wrong" with him will just pass, and if it doesn't then at least they don't have to deal with him…like I can just tell that if we actually ever got to see Loki have to go through reformation in the Avengers Tower in the MCU, this is how he'd be treated the first year…maybe even longer. 🥲 And I commend the way you wrote Tony because that's probably the most accurate of them all, a part of him going "whelp guess he'll die then" with that signature snark and his intolerance of Loki after the events of the Avengers movie…I was so ready to fight a fictional billionaire in this story because of how hellbent he was to not listen to a single explanation on what could've been happening to Loki or to Reader.
Me @ Tony:
Secondly, Reader's dedication to Loki in this story was so endearing and heartwarming like she refused to just chalk it up to something that'll pass given enough time, and she wasn't willing to wait for Thor to go to Asgard in a few days when she knew that he was suffering now. Even a severe language barrier wasn't gonna stop her and I love her so much for it 👏👏
And Loki's dedication to Reader in turn was also so lovely to read because he was willing not just to break rules but also to see his former partners so that he could understand Reader's situation better. The mentions of Amora and Sigyn were also just a fabulous touch 💖
But my absolute favorite part was him facing off with the Avengers again when he got back to Earth and said that he's going to fix what's happening to Reader, but he's doing it for her and not for anyone else because he couldn't give less fucks if the rest of the team cared, he just wants Reader to be alright 🥹💖 And second favorite part is the bit in the Jotun physiology that makes them a monogamous species, so they're quite literally addicted to each other and they have a built-in "honeymoon period" before they can even think of spending any amount of time apart because they have to feed the cravings 😳😏
And his confession that he feels the same way was so cute 🥹 Like they've literally had sex twice but he was still a bit hesitant to tell her that yes, he has romantic feelings for her too and he very much wants to ✨keep her✨ 💖🫠
Raw Desire
Synopsis: Something is wrong with him. Something none of the Avengers, including Thor, understand. When Loki turns into his Jötun form unwillingly and begins to act in a very primal and aggressive way, their solution for the problem is to lock him up in a cell below the compound until it’s all over. It’s a disease, perhaps, one which only Frost Giants can develop. Only Loki is not sick. Loki is in heat–and his Jötun body will not rest until his most carnal desires have been satisfied…
Words: 9176 Warnings: Jötun!Loki, smut, fluff, symptoms of addiction
A/N: You wanted some Jötun!Loki, I wanted some Jötun!Loki… so here we go. Enjoy, everyone! 😏

Sigyn on Thor x Jane Foster
Honestly, Sigyn was surprised at first, yet she came to accept it...and becomes on the fence about it
Well, despite a bumpy first impression after she was brought in to recover from the Ether ( due to Jane slapping Loki and all ), Jane Foster and Sigyn became allies with a shared understanding of each other. Jane Foster proved to be a kind and high intelligent woman who actually can bond with Sigyn with a sense of often feeling ' otherness ' in Asgard.
But
Sigyn already began to have visions that bad things can happen to the reunion of Thor and Jane Foster. In fact, as a volva, Sigyn sometimes has vague visions of several future events. She already knew that Thor and Jane Foster cannot last as a pair
But how can Sigyn tell Thor this when he was, for the first time in his life, being this truly happy with a romantic companion?
Sigyn first tells this confession to Loki ( in a visit to his cell then ), who immediately said, ' My oaf of a brother perhaps spent so much time traveling around the Realms that what he may be looking for is right there all along. '
' Perhaps Thor is desperate for a sense of belonging in Midgard, I'm sure....' Sigyn nodded thoughtful. ' And he found it in Lady Jane. He says that she is the first person he ever truly loved. '
' Father already had similar visions, yet my brother never listened. ' Loki scoffed
' I'm sure Thor will come around one day. ' Sigyn smiled in understanding
And then when Ragnarok came along, Thor was going through the rough after Jane Foster left him. Even after that, Sigyn held no true resentment to Jane, yet she tries to help comfort Thor as a friend and sisterly figure in that heartbreak
' I loved her like how my brother loves you yet she deserted me!! ' Thor wailed
' I'm sure you'll find someone much better for you, Thor. ' Sigyn tried to comfort him.
Fast forward later on, when Loki and Sigyn, who became rulers of the Multiverse finally heard of the death of Jane after all the hoopla in Thor 4, Loki and Sigyn anonymously sent flowers to her grave in her hometown in New York as a sign of respect despite it all.
Loki and Sigyn smiled to themselves as they watched from a distance that Thor and Sif are getting close after Thor 4.

Sigyn Chapter 5
Flashes of memories haunted Sigyn's dreams. Snow glistening in the moonlight. Something in the darkness closing in from behind. An arrow whizzed past her ear. Time slowed to a crawl, no matter how hard she fought through the snow.
A firm punch in her shoulder - painless enough to ignore at first, then expanding into an inferno engulfing her body. All the muscles of her back contracted, and she collapsed.
She fell faster and faster, towards the sparkling forest floor, until she jolted awake, shaking the entire bed. Her breathing was rapid and her shoulder burned. She pushed away a bare arm draped across her and walked to the bathroom, avoiding snoring bodies on the floor.
Facing her shoulder-blade to the mirror, she pulled aside the strap of her nightgown to view a jagged, red scar. Kark had removed the arrowhead, but silver always left a hideous mark. As if that wasn't bad enough, her brain delighted in reminding her just how painful the injury had been.
The floorboards creaked. With adrenaline still pumping through her veins, she spun towards her attacker. Ice in her fist elongated into a spear.
The breakfast tray balanced in Kark's arm didn't even wobble as he waited for Sigyn to relax.
"Sorry." The spear exploded into a puff of crystals. "Rough night."
Kark glanced at the naked people sprawled across the room. "It couldn't have been all that bad."
Sigyn massaged her shoulder, wondering if her afterparty activities were the culprit of her pain. "Let's talk downstairs."
They descended a spiraling staircase to Sigyn's office, where she collapsed in the leather chair at her desk.
Kark slid the breakfast tray towards her. "In times like this you, must miss Lo-"
Sigyn's eyes flashed him an order of silence. "No I do not," she said through gritted teeth. "Here we are, running for our lives and he can't be bothered to show up! Too busy gallivanting through Asgard's halls." She shook her head as if throwing away the thought, and then opened her laptop. "There's something I want to show you."
Outside the office, down the hall, Jess had emerged from her suite, alone as usual, and defeated. They were due home this evening, and she hadn't found the tiniest scrap of evidence.
She leaned against the railing, overlooking the main hall of the lodge. Even from on top of the stairs, the distant ceiling and tall windows made her feel small. The lodge, the mountains, Sigyn herself - they all had something in common. An otherworldliness that could not be defined, itself a wily creature dancing back and forth behind a veil, knowing Jess could never get close enough to see it but taunting her to keep trying, delighting itself by watching her fail.
With her head turned at just the right angle, she caught the sound of Kark's muffled voice, and Sigyn's right behind it. She followed it towards the door, and pressed her ear against the cool wood.
"Are you sure it's not pronounced g-mo?" asked Kark.
"Yes, I'm sure! Why else would all the letters be capitalized? Between this and all the other crap they're pouring into their food, no wonder we keep getting sick."
"If it's making us sick, how can humans eat this stuff in droves?"
Humans?
Just then, the door to one of the nearby rooms opened, and a couple walked out pulling their luggage behind them. Jess jerked away from the door and leaned against the wall, doing her best to look casual and definitely not like she was eavesdropping.
When the couple disappeared, she returned to the door.
"Fresh game," Sigyn said. "Fresh seafood. Fruits and vegetables that don't come from the store or in a box. Nothing canned or frozen."
"Aww," Kark whined. "No more Grandiosa?"
"Not unless you enjoy hurling your guts out every other day." Sigyn's office chair squeaked. "I'll try to get out and hunt more."
Jess reached for her phone in her pocket to start a recording in case a confession surfaced. Just as she tapped the screen, the phone slipped between her fingers and hit the door. She caught it against her thigh before it crashed on the floor, but it was too late. Footsteps moved toward her faster than she could react, so she raised her fist as if about to knock as the door opened.
"Miss Mikkelson!" Kark jumped back in surprise.
In her head, Jess imagined herself weaving a clever lie as she snuck her phone back into her pocket, but standing in the doorway, caught in the act, she discovered she could not multitask as she repeatedly shoved her phone into her pocket and missed every time.
It surprised everyone when the next words from her mouth were: "I've come to inquire about employment opportunities."
Kark gave an uncertain glance to Sigyn, who sat up straighter in her chair and, despite wearing nothing but a silk nightgown, took control of the room like a queen in her throne. "We're not hiring at the moment," she said with a dismissing smile.
That would have been the end of it - until Kark bounced the idea around in his head. "With all due respect, M'lady, we could use the extra hands..."
"You know why we can't do that," Sigyn answered.
Something unspoken passed between them that Jess could not read. She stood awkwardly in the doorway until Sigyn asked her to wait outside for a moment. As soon as the door closed, Sigyn's composer dropped and she looked at Kark with pleading eyes.
"Are you crazy!" she whispered. "You can't invite people to work here! Especially not her!" She threw a glare towards the door, which she knew Jess was trying to listen through. "She's already on my ass about the wolf, I'm not going to let her snoop around anymore than she already has!"
Kark leaned across the desk to whisper back. "She might be suspicious, but as long as we're diligent, she'll never get close to the truth. We need help, Sigyn. This place is taking its toll on us."
As soon as he mentioned it, Sigyn's temple throbbed, the spot of a recurring headache. Both of them had suffered ailments on and off, but poor Kark was taking the brunt of it. He had always been scrawny, but it scared Sigyn how much weight he had lost in the past couple of months. The saddest thing was his eyes - normally so expressive - were dull and sunken into his face. In his efforts to serve and protect her, Sigyn worried he'd let himself waste away.
As dangerous as it was to let people work closely with them, she couldn't bear seeing Kark struggle. "Fine. Hire whoever you need, as long as it's not her."
With a renewed spring in his step, Kark opened the door to allow Jess back inside and to tell her the good news. Jess played it cool but was secretly giddy knowing not only had she found a job - she had another opportunity to collect evidence. "Is there an application you'd like me to fill out or should I just give you my resume?"
"Oh, no!" Sigyn cut in. "We will be hiring, but not you. Someone who's a better fit."
Once again, Jess found herself at the mercy of Sigyn's contempt, reduced to a fly to be swatted away. She had enough of feeling small. "You're not even considering my application?"
Sigyn raised a brow, not appreciating Jess' tone. "In case you haven't noticed, sweetheart, I own this place. I can hire and fire as I please. Whatever you're looking for, you won't find it here."
"Well, that kind of sounds like discrimination." Spurred by anger, the words had come out too fast to think them through, and Jess wasn't sure it was completely true...
For the first time since meeting her, Jess spotted a nervous tick in Sigyn's eyes. "So?"
"So it's a federal crime!"
Sigyn looked at Kark and whispered something in an unrecognizable language. Kark threw his palm up in a I-dunno manner.
As hard as Sigyn tried to hide her disappointment, it was unmistakable. "Fine. We will consider your application."
It was a small victory, but Jess still wanted to commemorate the moment with a gold medal. She returned to her suite smiling to herself as she began to pack.
"There is no way in Helheim we are letting that one work here," Sigyn clarified to Kark.

how about a little 1, 3, and 25 for Rian/Varric and/or Sigyn/Blackwall from the relationship asks
OC relationship asks
Number 1 spoils a Varric/Hawke fic I've had in the works for five literal years, so I'll put it at the end under a cut.
3 - What's their love language?
I don't really buy into the whole "five love languages and you have one main one" thing, so I guess I went more specific?
Rian/Varric: Kind of an obvious one for Varric, but words. Tale of the Champion is essentially one big love letter. (Rian read the first chapter and realised they hate reading about themself). They’re both big on doing things for people, and I can see that translating over to being generous with each other. Probably also becomes a point of contention at times, whose turn it is to spoil who.
Sigyn/Blackwall: They still leave each other notes. Mostly it’s little “I love yous,” or things the other needs to know, or jokes that they think the other might like.
25 - Do they have any pet names for each other?
Rian/Varric: Rian gets the nickname “Waffles” pretty quick (they’re diplomatic with a sassy edge), but the more Varric falls in love with them, the less he uses the nickname. The same thing happens with Athim, though I haven’t figured out what her nickname is yet. Rian will often call people “love,” and not always as a term of endearment. But they have fun coming up with ludicrously cutesy pet names to wind Varric up.
Sigyn/Blackwall: Blackwall calls Sigyn “my lady” quite often. She always protests that she’s not a lady, but in a playful way. She’s totally into it. Sigyn will refer to him as “my warden.” She’ll use it more often than she uses his name.
1 - Who fell first? Who fell harder?
Sigyn/Blackwall: I have some ideas about this, but I don’t think any of them fit into the “fell first, fell harder” trope. There’s a whole story about how they first came across each other that’s I’m planning to write out properly, but essentially, they started exchanging little notes. They left supplies for each other. They both fell for each other from afar, and quite gradually. It was important to me that they fell in love before they attached specific names to each other.
Rian/Varric: Varric falls first, all those years ago when Rian got them out of the Deep Roads. He kept it close to the chest for over a decade, because he was still involved with Bianca and Rian was in love with Anders. He confesses his feelings after Hawke returns from the Fade, and that kind of pushes Rian face-first into the realisation that those feelings are, in fact, reciprocated. So, I would say they definitely fell harder.

@stubborngods said: "You are more beautiful than I imagined." sensual and sexual tension sentence quotes. | accepting.
The observation took her by surprise, and she was more than a little relieved that she didn't feel her cheeks flush in response. It made sense, of course, that Loki would have spoken about her; but there was a distinct difference between knowing that in the abstract, and having Angrboða - strikingly beautiful Angrboða - confirm as much to her face.
She suddenly became acutely aware of just how close they were to one another. The other woman sat up against the headboard of her bed while Sigyn sat on the edge of it, using her Seiðr to examine both her and the baby she carried. It was hardly the first time she had attended to someone's pregnancy, but it was only the second time she'd done so away from palace healing rooms.
Her heart still ached for Loki, when she thought of what had happened. Her blood still boiled when she thought of what Odin had done. Of course she hadn't been able to say no, when they had finally returned to Asgard and asked for her help again - asked her to leave with them, to come and ensure that Angrboða and their baby were well.
If her reputation was to become that of somebody who could be trusted to be discreet and understanding, who would quietly go against the Allfather for the good of those who sought her help, then she was content with that. When they'd made her the Goddess of Fidelity they had not felt the need to specify to whom her ultimate loyalty must be, and Sigyn was more than willing to exploit that fact.
She glanced up to meet the giantess' gaze, offering a faint smile. "Thank you, though I'll confess - I am surprised to hear that you've paid me much mind at all, mín frú."

[REVEAL] - My muse confesses a secret to yours that they either never talk about, or haven’t told anyone about in a long time. FROM VALI.
MISC. SCENARIO MEME.
She isn't sure how to tell her son. It's a secret only her and Loki (and the other gods, especially Odin) know about. But if he is wondering how his parents fell in love, then Sigyn will tell her son the truth.
Walking past the golden hall of Valhalla, she spots one of the female warriors returning back with one of the slain. "You see the Valkyrie there, Vali? I used to be in her position. I once worked for the All-Father, selecting and bringing him einherjar and serving them mead in the hall. It was how I met your father. He came into the hall one day at the All-Father's side and it was love at first sight for me. Your father continued to visit me everyday, telling me stories and giving me laughter, until I decided to leave the service of a Valkyrie behind and marry him," a small smile comes to her face. "It's the best decision I've ever made, because now I have you and your brother too."
