A cry for help from a family besieged in Gaza 🚨🚨

Meet the lobna Al-Sir family

It is a family from Gaza consisting of the husband Ahmed, the wife Lubna, and their children Mohammed, Hassan, and Yazan.

Overnight, rockets and artillery shells rained down on our residential area without any prior warning, forcing us to leave our homes with nothing but our exhausted souls..

This is how the first displacement began until we reached the fifth displacement, and in between them there are indescribable stories of suffering and pain.

At the moment we live in a dilapidated tent that is at risk at the first rain, and the environment we live in is unsanitary and prone to diseases.

Our children are lost, they are deprived of education and entertainment, and they have the right to live their childhood like the children of the world

Let me tell you what my children are living in the tents. My son Mohammed is 11 years old. He is supposed to be in school receiving his lessons, but in this war, because of the viruses, insects and dust, his feet were injured.

Then he got infected with hepatitis, but there are no medications, no nutrition, and no care in the hospitals.

My child, Yazan, who gets this allergy every now and then.

In all his body, it is difficult to provide him with milk and diapers.

My child had a difficult surgery and needs another one when we raise the money for it.

My middle child, Hassan, who is 8 years old, stands in line in the middle of the crowd to get food. In addition to the high prices and the shortage of cleaning materials

The high price of flour, which is considered a basic necessity, and other problems we face.

Something I think is very much worth considering when analyzing the oppressive, classist societal system we’re seeing in Helluva Boss, most notably in the latest episode:

Satan is not really a ‘tyrant’ in the way I think a lot of people have started viewing him as. At least, he’s NOT some ‘usurper’ who has ‘seized power’ in Lucifer’s absence and now ‘rules with an iron fist’ with no one powerful enough to stand against him. For one, I think it’s pretty clear that this position as the ‘Lawman of Hell’ is a role that Satan has always held, even before Lucifer left.

Rather, let’s consider the fact that while Satan might be the one enforcing this oppressive system, he is FAR from the only one supporting or BENEFITING from it.

We have Mammon, possibly Leviathan, and basically the ENTIRE Goetia royalty who are clearly in FULL, enthusiastic support of this system.

Meanwhile Leviathan and Belphagor (assuming the former isn’t in full support of this system like Mammon) seem to be either too apathetic or too blissed out to really care, which likely also applies to pretty much any ‘not enthusiastically classist/racist’ Goetia as well.

Which just leaves Asmodeous and Beelezbub and MAYBE a handful of Goetia like Vassago who actually DO care and want to do something to help.

Really, I think the ‘vote’ we saw this episode is a clear demonstration of why there is only so much Ozzie and Bee can actually do. They are outnumbered, even among their fellow Sins.

I think it’s not so much that Satan ‘seized’ power in Lucifer’s absence. Rather, without Lucifer there is no one to truly CHECK the power that Satan already has. Sure, maybe a majority of the other Sins might be able to do that as well, but as we see, THAT isn’t happening either.

Satan is not some all-powerful tyrant running an oppressive system. While he may be considered the ‘face’ of that system, he is simply the enforcer of an oppressive system run by many powerful people who benefit from it. With any in power who might want to change things being too few to really do anything about it.

This is why I feel like what we are seeing here is not so much setup for conflict in Helluva Boss, but rather setup for a future plotline in Hazbin Hotel.

Because unlike Blitzo, Stolas or even Ozzie and Bee, CHARLIE is in fact someone who COULD do something about all this.

Even without Lucifer’s help (who I imagine will be indisposed due to other factors for the sake of not making all this TOO easy), Charlie DOES have the influence, charisma and if all else fails the raw strength to actually change things.

Whether by giving Asmodeus and Beelzebub the support they need, snapping/slapping Belphagor and Leviathan out of whatever detached apathy they’re in or maybe just giving Satan, Mammon and the entire Goetia court a brutal ass-kicking.

Probably all of the above.

All in all, I think Satan is a really great example of an antagonistic character who is very much A 'bad guy', but at the same time is not THE 'Bad Guy'. In the thematic sense that Satan is very much part of the oppressive system yet is very much NOT the root cause of it.

And in the narrative sense; both short-term in the fact that Andrealphus is very much the actual 'main bad guy' of this episode, and in the long-term of Satan likely being much more of an antagonist for Charlie in Hazbin Hotel, rather than anyone in Helluva Boss.

I think the concept of Hispanic coded Angels actually worked cuz a number of Latinos, Spaniards and Italians are also religious in Christian Faiths and such

Actually there are Christians around the world, so Heaven is filled with heaven born Angels that are nation/region coded one way or another

Carmilla Carmine MIGHT be a fallen angel, which may explain why she got access to making celestial weapons

That makes another ' sinner '/fallen angel ship with Zestial x Carmilla, other than EmilNiss

I also think Hispanic coded Wrath and Lust hellborns also work too cuz it fits the often stereotype of Hispanics being passionate and such

Actually I think Latino coded Hellborns in Greed and Envy can work cuz I get California and Deep South vibes from Greed ( and California is FILLED with Latinos ), and I get Hawaii vibes from Envy ( and Hawaii is filled Latinos, Polynesians, Desi folks and Southeast Asians )

Desi coded Wrathians and Envy natives can also work cuz there are Desi desert natives and also with a bunch of Desi folks in Hawaii and such

Sloth just gives me Alaska vibes in spades, so I guess Scandinavian and Russian coded Sloth Hellborns can work there ( since Alaska is filled with Siberians, Slavic people and Scandinavians btw )

Marianne's married life

Marrying Colonel Christopher Brandon afforded her a much more comfortable life than she ever imagined. Her lifestyle as a titled Lady exposed her to even more higher echelon of connections, parties and social gatherings

She usually spends her days with her children, or often in those daytime soiree with her friends and allies, and sometimes having brunch or tea with her new girlfriends. She also sometimes visits her sisters and her mother and brings several lavish gifts for them.

In the evenings, she usually either spends time with her new family, or attending one of the lavish parties her in laws often frequent in.

Marianne also busies herself with running the Brandon legions and, wherever he's away on a campaign, becomes a chief barrier maiden of rhe legions, and also a doting and protective ' lion mother ' to her children

Aside from her adopted daughter Eliza II, she has 2 sons and a daughter with Colonel Brandon. And she is very conscious of their education. While her daughters came to be more under her wing in their training to be Ladies, her sons eventually be often more under their father's wing in battle skills. And all of her kids are trained nobility duties in legion running and such

While not handling matters of a titled Lady, she enjoys reading and writing romantic poetry and is also a patron of the arts, particularly art galleries. She delights and is grateful of the gifts her husband gave her - luxurious fabrics, jewelry, etc

Her life really turned out better than she planned, and she was divinely protected, after all

Initially, this print was intended to be signed by both Blake Roman and Keith David, however, the print ran into a multitude of problems. First the print's art had to be changed to comply with the current canon status of Husk and Angel Dust's relationship. So, the reflection was changed from a kiss to simply reflecting the same image above and below the street line.

Then, it was discovered that Keith David never agreed to do signings via Streamily and customers were unable to receive both autographs on the now significantly altered print. Customers were given partial refunds for Keith David's autograph but no refunds were granted to those seeking them for the change to the print's art.

An overwhelmingly unsatisfying experience for Streamily customers across the board.

This also resulted in the Hellaverse twitter account issuing a statement that the prints licensed by voice actors for signings were not official and their contents not canon unless endorsed by an official account.

The prints are still being archived here regardless as I believe these statements to be caused primarily by NDAs related to Hazbin Hotel. And while their contents may not be guaranteed to be officially canon at the time of release, they are still official merch in my eyes.
