How do you think Loki's shapeshifting works?
Are there limits to what sizes he can shapeshift into? Loki is shown turning into a fly at the smallest, a salmon, a seal, a woman, the Jotnar Thokk, and a mare without assistance from a cloak. His range is at least fly to mare because Thokk might have been normal sized.
Is Loki above the law of conservation of mass?
Loki seems to be able to shapeshift others. Turned Idunn into a walnut to carry. Are there limits to this? Why doesn't he use this more? It's convenient and if no one could stop him from using it it'd solve so much! Are there wards against this ability anyone other than Idunn has?
Can Loki regenerate a new body from scratch? Technically immortal as long as he shifts in time? Or does he keep the injuries from other forms?
How much energy is required by shapeshifting? I assume A LOT. Is it painful and disturbing to look at while it happens? Like some shit from Cronenberg?
Do you think Loki has a hard time controlling the instincts of whatever animal he's become while in animal form? How much cognition does Loki maintain? It must be hard to focus.
Are Loki's forms just "whatever was deemed necessary for the job"?

Loki won't hate you if you make mistakes. He has too. He's a good example to look at when remembering your actions have consequences. You can do whatever you want but you have to be ready to deal with the outcome.
Loki will be there when you feel outcast and alone and friendless. In those dark stormy days in your head he will be that candle that burns bright and it will never go out.
Don't have a good family? Me neither! But you know who is a Great dad/brother/uncle etc? Loki! Also the other gods. A whole new family that will fight for you and not abandon you.
He's not mad at you either btw. Communication is key and if you have worries just ask. He's not here to harm you or make you feel like hell. He's warm and silly but serious and stern if he has to be.
Somebody wrong you? Tell good ole carrot top. He may or may not make sure nobody finds their body. 😁👍
Anyway. I've been through a lot with him and I can promise he's definitely a good guy and worth having around. Even if he's made me wanna twist his nips a few times.

Angrboda in my LokixSigyn story
As some of you might know, I’m working on a Norse mythology inspired YA story/retelling(?). To put it simply: it reimagines some (but not all) deities as young adults. Because of this and to keep some characters around, I’ve made changes to several familial relationships.
One of those major differences is that, in my story, Hel, Fenrir and Jormungandr aren’t related to Loki in any way and instead all four of them are around the same age (late teens in human terms).
My story mainly focuses on the developing relationship between the trickster god and Sigyn, his future wife. Because of this, for a while I had a problem with inserting Angrboda, Loki’s other partner, into the story. First, I didn’t feel capable of writing a YA story with romance elements, where the young main male lead already has kids with another girl, so that’s why the monstrous siblings aren’t related to him. But still, I also felt it wouldn’t be right to completely erase Angrboda or a character similar to her from a mythology-inspired tale.
However, options like turning her into Loki’s dead ex or Sigyn’s rival who loses in the end also didn’t sit right with me as not doing Angroboda any justice. Making them all a throuple with everybody equal also wasn’t an option as Logyn pairing is the central part of my story.
Ultimately I decided on turning Angrboda into Loki’s (dire) wolf familiar. In my story familiars that belong to strong magic users, if connection between both of them is strong, can temporarily take on human form. This will also happen to Angrboda later in the story. Although her and Loki’s relationship isn’t romantic, they still deeply care for each other and Anga (as she is called for short) supports him and Sigyn eventually getting together.
What do you think of this?

Loki's association with wind. I understand they're not a wind deity or some personification of wind the way some elemental would be, but it often gets ignored/slept on, and fire is mistakenly attributed as Loki's element thanks to Wagner conflating Loki and Logi.

Makes me think of Loki

Loki tried to protect his kids for as long as he could and I've been thinking of this for a while now. What gets me about the hateful people is that they choose to not pay any attention to how he's been accused of everything and punished and hated on for everything and had all his kids taken from him and also punished and had to see two of them tear each other apart.
Imagine how the wives feel seeing their kids treated this way as well. Imagine how they feel seeing and knowing Loki was tied up and tortured with snake venom. We all know who he is. He's chaotic and wild and warm and sweet and mushy and emotional and loving and that love is all consuming. He has all this duality. he's also gonna defend you and protect you with all he has and work his ass off to help you get where you need to be.
When people only see him and his family as evil I am truly completely confused at who the fuck they are talking about. Also he doesn't even give af about what they say about him so they are shit talking for nothing lmao.
