Sigyn was about to fire the arrow when Loki placed his hand upon the arrow, making her loosen and lower the weapon. Warm eyes glanced toward him, seeing that look on his face that read "I understand" made her place the arrow back in the bag and the bow away for another time. Thor gave a small smile and a wave, though his shoulders lowered in relief as Loki had managed to distract her, at least for the time being.
The soothing circles upon her lower back caused Sigyn to relax a little, though the rest of her poise still said otherwise. Brown eyes looked up to the Queen briefly before turning to Loki, offering a small smile and a soft sigh. "..yes..but I have been everywhere in the palace" Sigyn reminded, "and there isn't exactly a place of calm" well not at the moment, not while they readied themselves for the wedding of the two royals.
"Perhaps the town might help my lady" Sif offered, "Yes, the town.. we could ride there" riding was a pass time that Sigyn enjoyed and the thought of it made her smile brighter. "Let's get the horses" it seemed in that split second the Princess had made up her mind, taking hold of Loki's hand to drag him toward the direction of the stables. "A river or a beach would be lovely! Does Asgard even have a beach? Oh just the two of us, that would be fun wouldn't it?" Her mind went back and forth, feeling the mischievous smirk form on her features "We won't have to be back till sunset, and it isn't even noon"

Her father had left Asgard a few days prior, Sigyn however stayed in Asgard with her husband to be, as was expected. She knew that the King of Vanaheim would return when it was their wedding, so for now the Princess tried to settle into life within Odin's Kingdom. She was in the training grounds, bow and arrow in hand, long curls up in an intricate braid to keep out of her face. Sif was stood on the sidelines beside Thor who stood with his arms crossed over his chest. "It's not that hard to point an arrow and shoot" Thor commented. Sigyn had heard the comment, moving quickly and swiftly the arrow planted just above Thor's head making him jump slightly. "No, but precision is" Sigyn commented bluntly, the comment even made Sif smile at the sight of Thor's face.
Frigga stood beside Loki, hands clasped together in front of her. "Beautiful but deadly that one" she commented lightly, feeling the smile form. "She will make a good Queen one day" Sigyn glanced up toward Loki and Frigga giving a gentle smile and a wave. "She has been out here for a while, she is anxious without her father" the Queen noted. Sigyn reached for the arrow removing it from the tree, Thor took a few steps back. "Maybe a walk into the main town will do her some good? Get her away from the palace for a while" Frigga suggested to her son, as Sigyn went to load another arrow onto the string of her bow.

I need to put this in my rules across all accounts but please tag political statements, just tag them. I am Jewish myself and I have a Jewish family on my mums side although I don't practice Judaism myself, however, with everything that is going on, I would rather not see it in a place where I go to escape reality. I haven't worn my star of David for a while because I don't want it on show because I'm scared of the outcome.. I never thought in 2024 I'd be saying that but here we are. So please, tag your stuff. Thank you. If you don't then I will be unfollowing.

Sigyn wasn't entirely sure how Odin would react on her words, she knew she could be stubborn and yet within that stubbornness grew a strong woman no matter who they were. Her father even had a smile, a smile which resembled pride; he had taught her well. Then Loki began to speak, the way he spoke about her was unfaltering, in a way that she knew was there but hadn't been truly spoken before.
She in that moment wanted to wrap her arms around him, yet Sigyn remained planted. As he reached for her hand, she clasped onto it tightly, allowing herself to move closer, her other hand placing upon his arm, soft eyes looking up to him and if one questioned what love looked like, it was how she was looking at Loki in that moment. Odin looked to the two, "you have my blessing on this union" He commented, though truth be told Sigyn would have wedded Loki in a secret ceremony if the All-Father hadn't accepted, to which she was sure the King knew.
Yet her gaze fell to her own father, who when looking upon his daughter, he radiated a happiness. "As my daughter you have my blessing" he agreed, making Sigyn only smile brighter at his approval. "Well then, I suppose this calls for a celebration, don't you?" Frigga questioned, deciding then to move from her seat to be the first to hug and congratulate the pair. In that moment did Sigyn realize why she liked Frigga so much, her undying love for her sons.
"Well done, the both of you" Frigga stated quietly, knowing it was no easy feat to hold the room in the way that they had both just done. Sigyn took hold of Loki's hand again, a happiness radiated from her being, mixed with slight relief that they didn't have to truly fight for their union like she thought they'd have to do. She felt strong with Loki, it was as if he brought a side to her that had lay dormant, only to arise as a woman who spoke her mind diplomatically and loyal to those she cared for.

Sigyn stood within the throne room of Asgard, the All-father staring down at her, his Queen at his side and Thor on the other. Loki however was at her side, her father stood beside the Asgardian royal family. Why was there a meeting? Well, it was about their relationship, naturally Odin wanted an alliance. "I am not just an alliance, or someone who can give Loki a child" she explained sternly, no, she wasn't a mere pawn. "I am Sigyn of Vanaheim, Princess by title and royal by blood, and I am my own grown woman" confidence oozed from her tongue, that even Frigga couldn't help the smile at the younger, she knew a leader when she saw one.
Warm eyes glanced to Loki, allowing her features to soften, just as they did every time she looked at him. "I choose Loki not because he is a Prince of Asgard, but because I love him for who he is as a man, as his own being." She explained "When he laughs, I laugh .. his ups are my own and his downs are also mine. To meet a charismatic man is one thing, but to meet your best friend in the most charismatic of them all, is something else entirely apart." Sigyn spoke truthfully, "I love him for all I am, and all I'll ever be"

@i-wish-to-rule-this-world continued
Sigyn spoke from the heart, she always did when it came to him. The feel of his fingertips grazing her shoulder, her own fingers lightly tracing over his bare arm. It was a relaxing yet intimate atmosphere, the fire crackling in the background, silk sheets hugging both their frames to protect against any chill within the air. Marry me he had asked without so much of a hesitation, rose coloured lips that were already turned upwards in a smile simply grew wider and brighter.
"Yes..of course I will" she agreed softly, without hardly a thought at all, the happiest of laughs passing her lips. Fingers lightly placed upon his jaw, bringing herself close to him as she placed a kiss upon his lips, soft and delicate, that smile still peeking through. Sigyn could feel her heartbeat against her chest, like a butterfly it fluttered. She loved him, she loved him more than words could describe, she wanted to give her heart to him in every capacity.
In that moment she could feel tears of joy well in her eyes, and as she closed them the tears fell down flushed cheeks. Sigyn pulled herself closer toward Loki, so she now fit into the contours of his body like the most perfect jigsaw puzzle.
