note: i am getting back into writing more small stories because i don't wanna get bored of the series haha. trying something a lil different

summary: in 2011, indie musician/rockstar reader has had a thing going with evan peters for a while. neither of them can stop thinking about each other. it's high time they talked it out.

warnings: sm*t, being delulu with a celeb fantasy, f1ngering, p in v, rushed plot lol

I loved doing strange things in the name of art. Even if it meant stirring up a bit of controversy. I had my fair share of weird music videos and clothing choices that turned heads. It's what you need to do to get noticed.

My band and I received some negative press when I said some...choice words about men in an interview. Why people were shocked that the female lead singer in a band had strong feminist viewpoints was beyond me. In my time away from working, aka, hiding from the controversy, I spent time socializing.

Being in my early 20s, I felt my freedom was stifled by my schedule and record label obligations. Now that I was being forced to step away, I had time for a social life. I went to more parties and met cool people. One of which being this guy, Evan.

Although we never said it to each other, I think we both knew.

From the moment we locked eyes, I knew one thing; I wanted to know him. I'm not sure if it was him or I that moved toward the other first, but we met in the middle of the crowded room, like a fucking movie, and he said:

"You look...you look very nice. B-beautiful, I mean. Damn, why can't I speak?" He looked around bashfully, saying 'I hope no one heard that' with his eyes.

I returned the compliment with a lopsided grin and a simple, "I'm Y/N."

After a lengthy conversation off in a corner somewhere, I wrote my number down on the back of his hand and took off, fucking off back to my apartment to seem mysterious. I waited by my cellphone with bated breath, seeing if he'd follow the "three-day rule." He texted me within an hour of me leaving.

We saw each other regularly for weeks after, continuously finding reasons to hang out. I was a spellbound darling in the haze of a precious love story, fawning over a starry-eyed boy.

My desire to seem aloof and therein more appealing, though, made me act coy in his presence. I could see it in his eyes that he felt the same, but I wasn't about to make that my problem. My fear of rejection kept me from overstepping the line of friendship.

Another drunken night at a bar after seeing some indie band play left me with some bad press again. I got caught mouthing off to a photographer who was hounding me in the street. A classic story, right?

Due to that, though, I was seriously put in time-out by my label, them advising me to stay home for a while. To avoid nightlife, that is. Just until it all blew over. I sat bored in my apartment, trying to write songs when my cell phone buzzed.

E: hey!!! how are u?

you heard :/

E: yeah. bummer :^(

i'll be fine. more time to b productive!

E: what are u up to now?

about to make dinner :D

E: ooo whatcha makin?

salad!

E: make enough for 2?

I can ;)

E: what's ur address? i'm coming over

I threw my phone onto the couch and sprung into action. I had to make the space look as presentable as possible for his visit. We had known each other for about a month, but neither of us had been to each other's place.

It took him next to no time to arrive. The knock at the door announced his arrival. I physically dropped what I was doing to let him in, anxious to see him.

He stood outside my door, rosy cheeks and bleach-blonde hair making his appearance seem almost ethereal. His eyes sparkled when he saw me.

"Come in," I smiled, gesturing toward the open space of my living room.

"Wow, it's nice in here," he cooed. I parted from him to return to making dinner. I watched as he observed the space and meandered over to the sofa, flopping down a a large sigh.

"What's the matter?" I asked, laughing.

"It was an ordeal getting in, is all," he chuckled, leaning forward in his seat to peer in at me.

"Why? My doorman is rather nice..." I returned.

"No, I made sure I got in in a way that I couldn't be seen," he explained. "I know you probably don't want to get caught with a mysterious guy sneaking into your apartment,"

"And why's that, Evan?" I challenged, finishing up and heading into the living room to sit with him.

"Big news, and all," he said, bashfully. "All things considered."

"I'm not worried about it, honestly," I assured him, putting a hand on his arm. "I've found that once you've ruined your reputation, you can live quite freely."

He coughed lightly and pulled at the collar of his sweater before sitting back with his arms crossed, very obviously checking me out with a smirk on his face. I ran my hand through my hair and adjusted the way I was sitting. So many words to say, but neither of us had the courage to do so.

All at once, Evan's lips were on mine. At first, I tensed up and pulled back, then, I relaxed into it, putting a hand on his cheek. We kissed passionately, his arms eventually snaking around my waist and pulling me even closer.

"My god," he gasped, pulling away. "You're fun to kiss."

I could only reply with a bashful laugh, my cheeks burning red.

"I've been wanting to do that for a while," he exhaled.

"I've been wanting you to do that for a while," I returned, resting my hand on his chest. He looked down at the touch and back up at me with a glint in his gaze. The moment lingered, and I was spellbound in the light of his undivided attention.

"I never pictured myself getting this far. I don't know what I'm doing, quite frankly," he admitted, his brows turned up in disbelief.

I leaned forward and brushed my lips against his, pausing for a moment before giving in to the need to kiss him again. We pressed our foreheads together in the tightest embrace, this being the result of weeks of restraint.

Although we never said it to each other, I think we both knew.

His left hand threaded in my hair, his right still firmly wrapped around me, I was lit on fire. The all-consuming moment made it hard to breathe. I wanted him all at once. I wanted his very essence to touch every part of me. Every cell and fiber and bone in my being.

It mattered not what was going on in the world. The problems and the hurt and the unrest. At that moment, it wasn't our fight. Not our war. No longer a worry.

Evan was the only thing that mattered. Him.

"I need you," I murmured against his lips, grabbing the fabric of his shirt in my hands and pulling him on top of me.

It was like diving into the ocean, too swept up in the current to realize I was drowning in him. His hands were all over me. Pulling at my clothes and feeling at the glimpses of bare skin underneath.

I wanted all of it.

Just as I tugged his sweater over his head. Just as he pulled at my t-shirt. Just as I undid his belt. Just as he slid my skirt down over my knees. Just as he threw his own jeans across the room. A warmth spilled into my chest and spread outward. His presence soaked through my skin.

His lips ran up my neck and stopped next to my ear. "Okay?" he whispered.

"Yes," I breathed.

He spread my legs apart softly before lining himself up with my entrance. I moaned in his mouth when he penetrated me. He kissed me until all I could breathe was him. I ran my hands up his naked back as he found his rhythm.

I lost track of time. I was intoxicated by the heat of the moment, the warmth of his body, the waves of intense pleasure. There was something there that was real and raw and rare. We fit together like a jigsaw falling into place.

Before long, I found myself ready to succumb to the waves of pleasure. Evan must have seen it, because he paused for a moment, to say: "Not yet, beautiful." He pulled out of me and kissed me all over my body, tauntingly slow.

Then, he slid his fingers into me, setting a lazy rhythm that made my back arch and my toes curl. I existed at his very will. And all at once, after clinging desperately, I let go with a light moan. The pressure boiled over. Shudders shook me as I rested my forehead on his.

Evan's hands tightened on my waist. "Alright?" he asked, making sure he had permission to enter me again. I nodded.

He slid in. My arms were wrapped around his shoulders, my uneven breaths fanning his throat. He came with a masculine groan. The moment soaked through my skin. I could have lived in it forever.

We lay together in momentary bliss, I stroking his sweaty hair, him tracing shapes onto my arm with his finger.

"I love you," he whispered, before pausing entirely and saying a bit louder, "god, I mean, I love, holding...you."

I chuckled softly and guided his chin up to kiss me again. "You do?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

"I didn't mean to say that but yeah, I think I love you," he replied bashfully.

"Well, I think I love you, too, Evan," I smiled. He hugged me tighter, inhaling deeply in the crook of my neck. "God, I forgot all about dinner," I spoke after a beat. "Are you hungry?"

"No, not for salad," he laughed. "If I'm being honest, I don’t even like it. I just lied to get to your apartment."

OFCCC!! i wrote a lot more about this than i thought i could, and i feel like i could keep going but i do wish to go to sleep! ty for the ask! (there was also an anon ask with this question, idk if it was you, but i'm just gonna answer this one lol)

the choir boys all know each other irl (obvi they still have choir together). everyone lives roughly in the same vicinity, but no one knows that.

they all met online during the pandemic. possibly through video games, twitter, or tiktok

how did this ragtag group of people all become friends? idk fortnite probably

i don't know much about fortnite, but it seems like it would start some friendships and/or rivalries. maybe minecraft or roblox too.

how they met and became friends is hazy, like how the beta kids became friends in homestuck. point is: they're all friends. pretty much.

some boys are closer friends than others, but they're all mutuals. they're all in like the same community. what community? that is a good question i should probably think of an answer

piggy uses the nickname people bullied him with as his online name. he gets cyberbullied and has ended up on many a cringe account, but it doesn't really bother him anymore. he likes to spread information, but he was a little self-righteous about it before he quit twitter. now he argues with people on instagram. piggy's also a redditor.

ralph usually just watches other people's content, but sometimes he'll post something and it'll get pretty popular because he's ralph and being well-liked is an innate part of his character. ralph does prefer to go out and do stuff than being online all the time.

simon is chronically online. being shy, he gravitated towards the internet. he's definitely a fandom girlie and has a tumblr (hi tumblr). he spreads positivity on the internet all the time. he's one of the good ones fr. i do hc simon as a Christian, so he does spread the Word a lot as an lgbtq affirming Christian dude

jack doesn't spend too much time on the internet. he also isn't allowed a lot of these medias by his parents, so that may have something to do with it. he does get upset when his posts don't get as many likes as ralph's

roger ragebaits and leaves hate comments all the time, but he has moments where he's nice. maurice memer obviously. sam and eric are the voros twins. i don't have too many thoughts about these guys just yet

they voice chat and sometimes video call

meeting each other irl for the first time led to the utter disgust at ralph's blindness in the fashion department

ok onto them reading lord of the flies cause i think this is such a funny concept

they all miraculously start reading lord of the flies as a class assignment at the same time

they all tell each other this and they're all like "loooool that's crazy we're all reading the same book at the same time"

i saw someone on my last post ab this say exactly what im about to say. it is truly the only way to go with this.

everyone's all "oh haha ralph's got the name of the first character AND he's blonde!" "piggy has the same name as peter's online name! haha how sill-" "WHY IS MY FULL LEGAL NAME IN THIS BOOK???"

the last person is jack btw if you couldn't tell

the exact names and character descriptions matching up a little too well with the boys startles them, but they still joke about it A LOT.

i mean, think about it, if you were forced to read this book in class and you find out you and your friends are basically the main characters, you would NOT stop cracking jokes about it.

"'ugly without silliness.' wow jack, william golding really DID put you in his story!"

they do start to get a little more freaked out when, yk, stuff starts going down in the book and they have to analyze it.

piggy's eventually like "OK we, or at least i, have got to figure this out." and he goes and does some research.

aaaaand that is all i can tell you for now :))

i do headcanon a lot of the boys as queer, but my hcs of them as gen z-ers do differ a little from my hcs of them as gen silencers.

piggy is a strict ally, his aunt is an ally, allies all around, until he realizes he is not so straight as he seems and is not really just an ally. bisexual

ralph knows nothing about the sexuality and gender biz he just does what feels right. he's pretty much demisexual/romantic tho.

simon is a gay dude. he is gnc and on the trans spectrum somewhere

jack is the only one using queer slurs, everyone gets onto him for it. he's gay, but he doesn't know it/won't accept it (because everyone in his life is HOMOPHOBIC!!!). when he does finally accept it, he is still using those slurs as slurs he is not reclaiming them.

Thanks for the tag, @penna-nomen !! You know I have a heart for music!!

Rules: Choose a few fics you wrote that were inspired by a song - not just with song lyrics in title - and share the tune and the link to the fics. If anyone wants to guess which goes with which go for it in comments or tags!

Okay, sooo many of my fics are inspired directly by songs! This is so fun.

Here's a Hand, My Trusty Friend was directly inspired by the song "Auld Lang Syne" --Not only does Neal drunkenly sing the song, Peter sings back to him 🥹 The theme of friendship in this song made me think of Peter and Neal---the ultimate friendship ever!

The pair of fics, Even if You Cannot Hear My Voice and I'll Be Right Beside You were inspired by the Snow Patrol song, "Run"

Of COURSE, my fic Moon River, is directly inspired by the song for OBVIOUS reasons. I mean. Peter and Neal are totally huckleberry friends---look up the definition! It's THEM 😭

A Sky Full of Stars surprise surprise was NOT inspired by the Coldplay song of the same name---but it DOES fit nicely. haha. The two songs that actually inspired this were: "If I Loved You" (Carousel) and "Golden Star" by Middle Kids (I heard this on Ted Lass LOL). There is a *specific* part of "If I Loved You" where Billy looks up at the sky and says "There's a hell of a lot of stars in the sky and the sky's so big, the sea looks small. And two little people, you and I, we don't count at all"---this part inspired the entire fic. I dunno. just the thought of two people who love each other experiencing that awe of the universe spoke to me and Peter and Neal needed to have that. 😂

Take My Heart with You was directly inspired by "My Heart with You" by Pentatonix. GAHHH THIS SONG. Even looking at it platonically, it fits Peter and Neal *so* well 🥺

A Light in the Darkness lol you guessed it, another Pentatonix song. It gave me the spark to write the fic: "A Light in the Hallway" I first imagined Peter singing this to *SPOILERS* his son, but then I was like...but.....what if Peter and Neal were lights to EACH OTHER 😭

This Life is Most Jolly was inspired by the bard's song "Blow Blow Thou Winter Wind" in Shakespear's As You Like It. I sang this song in my high school choir and just loved the words and message. and again, we have drunken Neal wailing it at the top of his lungs after a fight with Peter haha Peter also sings "No Place Like Home for the Holidays" at the end. Can you tell I love the boys singing together? I HAVE A PROBLEM

Let this Last Forever is basically a fic version of the Cody Fry song "Photograph" --which I cannot listen to without SOBBING. Naturally, I had to let these feelings out on Neal looking at Peter with love. of course. 😎

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

In my current chapter fic, Pulchrae Alis (Beautiful Wings) , the final few chapters and the scene I wrote the entire fic for LOL was inspired by "Flying" by Cody Fry. 🥹

Okay WOW obviously I have an obsession with turning songs into fics 😅

top 5 most formative ships?

oh INTERESTING.....most formative. hm.....how to define most formative!

Elphaba/Glinda was, to my memory, one of the first ships I actually got invested in and read fanfiction for (if you've never read the fics of Frances aka Ridiculous Mavis then you are missing out!!!). I actually never saw the musical but I did listen to the soundtrack (I first got intrigued actually at summer theater camp when two girls sang "What Is This Feeling" for a talent show and I was like. Ummm. Anyone else get a bit of a gay vibe???) and I read the first two parts of the book and kind of skimmed the rest because the rest is a mess LOL sorry Greg. Nice to know that Ariana Grande & Kristin Chenoweth are Gelphie truthers as well, that wasn't on my bingo card for the movie's rollout.

Gen/Attolia aka maybe my favorite enemies-to-lovers ship ever??? I have a lot of nostalgia for the Queen's Thief books because I read them with my mom who was a huge QT fan and was active in the Sounis LJ community for the books and loved Gen/Attolia (she was a big shipper lol, she loved Spuffy too). So I've always felt very fond of them. I re-read the books recently since the sixth book came out and they just won my heart all over again. INVENTED enemies-to-lovers actually!!! No other YA fantasy romance is doing it like them. (Sidenote, I was going through the Sounis archives sometime last year looking for discussion on The Queen of Attolia and I found this fascinating take on one of the key Gen/Attolia scenes by a guest poster and then someone was like 'Wow, your takes are so cool, who are you?' and they were like 'Yeah haha I should make an account! But you can call me [my mom's LJ handle].' Like I was sitting there thinking wow, what a great Gen/Attolia take, and it was my mom's take!!!!! Truly, I was reaching across time and space to hear her thoughts on Queen's Thief shipping, and that is, I feel, what she would want.)

Utena/Anthy because Revolutionary Girl Utena was and is such a formative show for me and they're at the very center of it. Like. Aughhh. I don't even think I can talk about it I just need everyone who hasn't seen Utena to go watch Utena right now and then You Will See.

Angel/Cordelia because getting into Cordelia/Cangel fandom really did change my fannish life and, if I'm being honest, my intellectual life in general. I mean, I joined Tumblr specifically to follow a bunch of Cordelia fans and Cangel shippers, lol. And honestly, even though many (though not all!) of those people have left Tumblr, I owe a lot of the way I think about and analyze media to several of those people and their analyses of Buffy and Angel. (Fun fact about Cangel, I actually started shipping them after "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date" -- I did not enjoy Bangel and I thought Cangel would be more entertaining -- so you can imagine the feeling of delight and vindication I got when I looked up the Angel spin-off a while later and saw that he and Cordelia were going to end up falling in love.)

I think for this last one I'll say Seven of Nine and the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager -- I have no idea what I'd think of that ship now, since I haven't rewatched the show in so long, but I really liked them a lot as a kid (like Gelphie, it was one of the first ships I regularly read fanfic for). Their friendship-that-could've-been-a-romance was one of the elements that kept me emotionally engaged in thinking both about Voyager as it was and Voyager as it could've been. Voyager was one of the first shows that really made me think about how much I wanted to Fix It, and while D/7 wasn't the biggest part of that, it was one of the reasons that I cared enough to think about it, if that makes sense? And that impulse led me to thinking more deeply about Star Trek, and television, and what goes into telling a story in general.

Heyo! This might be long but I wanted to share my appreciation for the comics and characters you've made😁 I stumbled upon a couple of your characters a while ago and I found their kinky situations cute and interesting. I finally had enough free time this past weekend to sit down and finally get all caught up on the series and wow that was very fun! Your art style was very appealing throughout. You can really make your guys cute/handsome with unique personalities to boot! I had a great time reading it all.

I have to say, I really liked Cole, especially as the relationship between him and Token escalated. And yes, I know, *wags finger* "naughty cole. Toxic boy" but sometimes those characters are just so interesting to see and I really wasn't expecting to like him as much as I did😅 I can't wait to hear/see more of him if he makes a return. Alongside that, I really loved Token's character design. I don't know how you managed to capture his big personality so well in his appearance but you did it and I just loved reading every chapter he was in! Sebastian's punishment is what made me blush and drew me in in the first place and now I'm extremely interested in how this turns out for the big guy. We got to see a lot of him in stolen tastes but I feel that's just the surface and I'm looking forward to chapter 2 of Dristrict 96! Finally, I really enjoyed the different relationships you explored throughout. It's very nice to see loving ones right next to the toxic ones. I certainly like reading me some toxic kinky relationships but as a fat woman myself, it's really nice to also read respectful, wholesome stories between two people.

Haha, hope that wasn't too much but I wanted to share while it was fresh on my mind. You've put in so much hard work into this series and it really shines through! Thanks so much for sharing this with everyone. It certainly improved my days and I look forward to any art in the future!🥰

"Your boyfriend texted!" Alex called for her best friend who was in the kitchen, as the phone lit up from a message from Matt🍂.

"My hands are full of batter girl, just tell me what he says and maybe reply for me if it looks important", Lily replied as she was cooking. "And drop the boy in front of friend, unless you put a fucking space between the words.

As she used her fingerprint to unlock Lily's phone, Alex looked at the notification – she didn't want to actually open the message in case it could wait, fearing that she might leave the boy on read. She had been joking for the past month about Lily and her new friend's relationship since she discovered that he went out of his way to send a picture to Lily. This had been enough proof for Alex to start teasing her best friend about a possible romance – pretty pictures of the sky were in fact Lily's love language. Both girls did know it was just for fun, the same way they would qualify famous people as theirs when it was their ultimate celebrity crush.

Furrowing her brows at the phone in front of her, Alex didn't know whether to qualify the text as important or not.

Alex went to the kitchen where Lily was and read her the text, which led to the brunette letting out a laugh.

"Oh my god this kid I swear to god". Lily couldn’t stop laughing as she thought about an answer. "This sounds semi important lol but just tell him that of course I am always down to hide a body, I know a few tricks."

Alex laughed as well – more to her friend's reply than the actual subject – and wrote back a message, trying to imitate Lily's writing style. The two girls influenced each other a lot regarding their texting habits and the way they spoke, thus making it easy for Alex to fake it. Before sending it, she thought it could be funny to actually hold a conversation with the mystery guy as she had only heard about him and still needed to check if he was a good person for Lily.

As she deleted the last dozens of messages between her and Matt, Alex then put down the phone and looked up to see Lily smiling at her.

"You were having fun?" Lily asked her best friend. "I couldn't hear you for ten minutes and you looked like you were having fun."

"Oh". Alex was almost embarrassed to be caught enjoying a conversation with her friend's new friend. She shrugged it off and slided the phone back to its owner. "Just checking if the kid deserves your friendship."

"And? What's the verdict, judge Alex?" Lily playfully teased.

"Well, I guess he's not that bad. I trust you and you would have dropped him if he wasn't someone you liked talking to."

Lily's smile grew bigger at Alex's replies and took her arm to lead her to the couch as they would watch TV while waiting for Lily's desserts to cook.

A few days later and on the eve of Lily's birthday, Alex had everything planned: she was prepared to give her best friend a wonderful twentieth birthday, starting the day before with their out-of-work-coming-back-to-home ritual. As always for the last months, Wednesday meant a new video from the Sturniolo Triplets and Alex had prepared a comfortable scenery for Lily. The couch had been specially opened as a bed, with several blankets carefully folded on it. Snacks were ready and dinner was on its way as Alex had ordered some of Lily's favourites, which were pizza and sushi – damn Matt did get it right, Alex thought back to her conversation with him a few days prior. She hoped he could be part of Lily's happiness tomorrow, and maybe for a while after. Lily had always wished for simple birthdays. The sheer fact of knowing the people she loved took the time to think of her on this day was enough to her. Lily only needed her favourite people around her; just a day spent with her loved ones was the only gift she wished for and this is what Alex tried to stay faithful to, although a couple of surprises felt deserved for the special occasion.

As usual, Lily was coming home almost an hour after the video came out and Alex wasted no time to welcome her friend at the door. She took Lily's bag to put it down and closed the door behind them.

"Now now, just do whatever I say and don't ask questions", Alex ordered Lily who could only comply.

The blonde led her best friend to the bathroom and to Lily's surprise, a bath had been drawn along with a few candles. Pink bubbles could be seen floating on top of the bath and Lily couldn't help but smile. It had been a long day at work – one of those rude customers who were unable to accept that their order was not ready within two seconds after having asked for it – so the girl had been exhausted and her mood started to lift up due to this pleasant surprise.

"I don't want to see you for at least the next half hour", Alex warned her friend. "Enjoy this and stay in it until your skin gets fucking wrinkles, okay?"

Lily nodded with a quiet laugh and got ready to enter the bath as Alex left the room, not without putting on a bit of music to help Lily relax.

Exactly thirty-one minutes later did Lily go back downstairs to see Alex setting up the freshly arrived food on the table in the living room. Lily definitely appreciated the bath and the calm music, but she had felt lonely and only wanted to come back to her friend so that they could do their weekly tradition in honour of a new vlog or challenge from their favourite triplets.

Lily saw the TV already set up to play this day's video which was entitled Chris forced us all to do COLD PLUNGES – it sounded even more chaotic than the previous videos and Lily knew it was possible for them to achieve that.

The two girls sat on the couch and put the food between them as the video started. What was a given from the title is that the triplets were going to bathe in ice cold water and so they had to go to the supermarket to buy ice. As they didn’t find enough – well in Chris’s opinion, the youngest triplet decided to ask if they had more in the back when they were paying. Luckily for them, the cashier managed to bring them more ice, which Chris thanked him for as he put them all in his arms.

“Damn, I feel cold just watching him with all this ice,” Lily said as she shivered. She had always been prone to being cold and getting sick easily so she knew the whole video was going to make her feel uncomfortable even though she wasn’t the one doing the activity with them.

Alex laughed at her friend’s comment and they started laughing even more when Chris wished for more ice, thus getting his brothers to go to another store and ending with a cart full of ice per Chris’s request.

“Okay, this is definitely too much ice like I gotta agree with Nick on this one”, Alex said as she was matching Nick’s apprehensive expression.

“Yeah for real”, Lily approved. “Chris is gonna regret saying that it’s never too much.”

After the bathtub was filled with ice and ice cold water, the triplets were finally ready to do their “cold plunges” as Chris tried to motivate himself by having to pretend to be a can of pepsi. Funnily enough, there had actually been a can of pepsi right before this. Therefore, Chris was the first to go in and he did regret it as he was barely able to put his feet in the bathtub. Followed Nick who imitated Chris with a spider-like position above the bathtub but did not end up fully in – unlike Matt who absolutely did not care and managed to get most of his body in the water.

“I. Am. amazed right now”, Lily commented as she was curled like a ball with a blanket around her. “I don’t know how he accepted the idea and succeeded in doing that. I would surely want to kill my brothers for this crazy situation.”

Alex hummed in agreement with her best friend and they both gasped when a couple of minutes later, Nick also fully went into the bathtub. The two girls then started laughing along with Matt and Chris as Nick ran into the shower while being shocked from what he had just done. After the middle and youngest decided to give it one last try, Lily couldn’t help but comment:

“Wait, I just noticed, is Chris the only one without tattoos?”

“Yeah, Nick and Matt both have an almost full sleeve but Chris doesn’t have any for now”, Alex explained. “I don’t know if he’ll ever get one but he would look great with a couple honestly.”

“I totally agree. And I absolutely love Nick’s and Matt’s tattoos, I might have to look at them more clearly to get a few inspirations for if I ever decide to get tattooed.” Lily was in awe of the triplets at the moment: since she started to follow them, Lily had to admit that they were all good-looking and tattoos really added something to their charm. “Also if I can say, Matt is slaying with the beard.”

“Right?” Alex exclaimed. “That was such a good move from him and I hope he’s gonna keep it for a while.”

As the girls kept talking after watching the video, Lily was feeling so much better. The simple things like spending time with her favourite person and eating her favourite foods were all Lily could ask for to enjoy life.

The night being still young, the two girls decided to watch some of their favourite Disney movies, such as Cars or Inside Out. They had a passion for animated movies that quickly brought them together when their friendship had started and everytime a new movie would come out, they would go see it together at the cinema. Lily and Alex had had this routine for a few years and none of them would ever trade the way they lived.

It was finally the actual date of Lily's birthday. As she had already spent a really nice evening the day before with Alex, she wasn't expecting much when she woke up. Obviously, everyone at the café had been giving a day off as the four coworkers were planning to maybe hang out to celebrate Lily's twentieth birthday.

As it had happened last year as well – since the two girls started living together, both Lily's and Alex's parents called her to wish her a good day and catch up on what was new. The two families had been close since the two became best friends and would often have get-together, even as Lily and Alex moved out from their family houses.

After an hour spent talking to her parents and "second" parents, Lily received a message from the group chat with her friends.

What Lily didn't know is that Alex was absolutely not at their neighbour's. The plate had been given back a few days ago already but Alex took the opportunity of Lily forgetting to use that excuse. In reality, the blonde was at the bakery to get the birthday cake she had ordered: Lily's favourite, which was a triple chocolate cake with some fresh fruits on the top.

When she came home, Alex was right on time as Lily was descending the stairs. Alex went up to her best friend to wish her happy birthday for the tenth time – she had already said it the day before as a pre-birthday celebration, then at midnight, then she had sent a couple of texts to Lily during the night. The two girls hugged for a few minutes then let go as it was almost time for their friends to arrive. The four of them were all used to being punctual so it wasn't a surprise when at five to twelve, the doorbell rang. Lucas had picked Jade up as they were living near each other. Lily being ready and Alex having prepared what she needed earlier in the morning, they all decided to go. As agreed, Lucas drove his three friends to the secret place – secret only to Lily obviously – and for the whole ride, he had let the birthday girl choose the music, which was a once in a blue moon occasion for Lucas was very picky with what type of music was played in his car. Well, today was a special day and Lily took advantage of it.

After a ride full of pop music, the four friends arrived at the Weeki Wachee Spring State Park. It was not just a simple park, but it was filled with attractions and animals, appealing to both children and adults. Alex had purchased tickets knowing how much Lily loved nature and just walking around while admiring the beauty of the world they had the chance to live in. Speaking of the devil, Lilt was ecstatic when she realised where they were. She had been wanting to go there for a while but never had the chance so she was really excited to finally visit it. The weather was perfect for a day out and Alex knew it was because her friend brought happiness and warmth everywhere she went, just like the sun would.

After checking in, the group let Jade guide them as she had been to the place a couple of times and knew exactly where to bring Lily to make her have the best day ever. Lucas had brought some food and so once in a while they would just sit on a bench to eat as they appreciated what Mother Nature gave them. For the whole afternoon, they simply walked around and as Lily was smiling at every turn, her three friends could only be happy as well that she was having an amazing day.

As they were leaving the park due to it closing and coming back to Lucas's car, Jade suddenly gasped.

"Oh my god fuck–"

"What's wrong?" Lily immediately asked, afraid that her friend was in trouble.

"Oh sorry, I was just looking for my cardigan in my bag. I was so sure I packed it," Jade explained.

"Wait, do you mean the one you had on yesterday?" Lucas tried to confirm. "The brown one?"

"How did you know?"

"I'm pretty sure I saw it on the couch in the break room", Lucas replied.

Jade faced her friend as if he had revealed the world's biggest secret to her. The sad expression on her face was enough for Lily to react.

"Well, tomorrow is your day off so that would mean you won't get it back till Saturday. We can get it before coming home if you want, it's on the way." Lily suggested as she didn't want one of her friends to experience an issue.

Jade quickly thanked Lily for offering and so they all decided to make a quick stop by their workplace. Little did Lily know, she was so predictable that this whole conversation had been rehearsed and planned by her friends. Indeed, they knew the brunette would never let Jade go home without her beloved cardigan – which was actually at the café, but Jade didn't give a fuck about it as she could literally come get it the next day even if she didn't have a shift. It was usual for one of them to just come to the café and act as a customer who was absolutely not working there.

When they arrived at the café, Lily was the first to leave the car and take her keys to open the door. She was fully expecting it to take five minutes maximum as she just needed to go into the break room, take the cardigan and come back outside so that her friends didn't have anything to do – which was still according to their plan. As a matter of fact, when Lily entered the main room where most of the chairs and tables were, she actually stopped in her tracks and wondered why some of the chairs were down. Had she forgotten to put them all on the tables when she closed yesterday? To be sure of what she thought she was seeing, Lily turned the light on and was faced with a surprise. Nothing could have prepared her for the huge sign that was reading HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY and the heart balloons over the counter.

Turning back to the door through which she entered, Lily was met with her friends all smiling and singing to her. How had she not seen it coming? Lily had just expected the afternoon at the park to be the only thing they had planned, along with a small diner back at her house. She was still harbouring a shocked expression when Alex quickly slipped behind her to go open the fridge and took out the cake she had bought this morning. As she lit up twenty candles on the cake, Alex, Jade and Lucas started again to sing to Lily. When the cake was put down on the only table without any chair on it, they all sat down and told Lily to make a wish, which she did while blowing out her candles. Following some laughter during the explanations of how Alex had lied this morning as well as how Lucas and Jade had come in early to decorate the café, the four friends enjoyed the cake and discussed some memories of previous birthdays they had experienced together. Although Jade and Lucas had only been working with Lily and Alex for less than two years, it was enough for the four of them to develop a close bond.

After they finished eating, Jade, Lucas and Alex went to the break room to retrieve the gifts they had for Lily – plus the brown cardigan that Jade remembered. They all gave their presents to Lily, who started crying when opening them – emotions are really overwhelming sometimes. Lucas had bought her new headphones as her old ones stopped working a few weeks ago. They were decorated with heart and flower stickers which Lily found adorable. Jade, as a fan of crafts, had made her a set composed of a mug, a plate and a bowl that were all painted with Lily's favourite colour. Finally, Alex had bought her a Care Bear – the "Tenderheart" one, which was perfect to symbolise the girls' relationship. Lily thanked them all for their friendship and told them how glad she was to have them in her life as she hugged them first individually then decided she wanted a group hug.

Lily would never trade her friends for anything else and as she came home with Alex after bidding goodbye to Jade and Lucas who had dropped them off, she realised that another friend of hers was starting to be also important to her. Indeed, as she hadn't checked her phone since they left the park, Lily saw that she had actually received a birthday message a few hours ago from her new friend Matt, which brought a smile onto her face.

Hi friend you're officially legal wow! I love the toph + azula concept they're a similar age and it's wlw which is so good. I recently watched t9s and wanted to come into your inbox and share my ThoughtsTM

so like there were a LOT of weird parts about the show (jay trying to seduce leia's mom out of revenge was ???) but the actors were gradually figuring out their footing which was fun to watch, it felt less like flat disney channel line delivery at some parts. nikki and nate's actors did a great job with their acting for the breakup/post breakup plotline and I enjoyed watching their casual exes fling lol, even if it's not a good relationship it's really fun to watch onscreen.

all three girls are beautiful but gwen got insanely hot, i loved her hair and fashion she's so pretty. her actress had genuine chemistry with the Boyfriend (I already forgot his name he's just arm candy at this point) so that definitely made the overall show's acting a bit better as well.

the thing with the nate/leia conflict was that it was dumb because I get how they're both softies which lends itself to personality compatibility but I could not see it as a romantic ship at all, I'm not convinced that they're attracted to each other (the friendship interactions were barely developed) and it honestly felt random/designed to produce conflict. i can buy it on nate's side but not at all from leia's. however the thing where nate had to pretend she's gross is actually funny - overall the jokes and humor got a little bit better this season.

Haha I actually turned 18 over 6 months ago but ty! It took a while for me to terms with being adult ngl, but I ended up getting used to it. I still don’t know what the fuck I’m doing sometimes tho haha.

Ty! Toph and Azula are a two year age gap, so I feel like it’s very fitting. I just love the idea of them as enemies to gfs. I think in general, I have a thing for ships where two characters are "similar but different" (i.e. gwikki, tophzula, zenmasters, dair, etc). It’s just so fun to see them get closer and realize they aren’t so different after all.

I personally was fine with the acting, and the kids are 15-20 years old so I cut some slack lol. Also a hot take, but Jay trying to seduce Donna was funny as fuck idec. Like the music, Jay's mannerisms, Donna being like 'wtf', and Jay "turning Donna down". It was perfect imo.

Nikki and Nate soured for me after the 3rd episode of the first season, but I’ll admit that I love their fwb storyline in season two. I just don’t want them to get together and be a couple. I’ve talked about it here why I don’t want them again and I still stand by it. I just don’t want my girl (and Nate) being limited to that relationship haha.

Even though Gwikki is my otp, I really liked Gwen and Cole together. They were really sweet together and it was nice seeing Gwen navigate a serious relationship for the first time.

When it comes to Nate and Leia, I hated them for so long until like March. Then I started shipping them for their potential, chemistry, and prettiness hahaha.

In canon, I don’t want Neia to happen tho. Aside from the fact that Jeia is my otp and I don’t anyone to touch them, in season 2, it’s canon that they only used each other for comfort so I can’t see them getting together at all haha.

The night was young when YN and her bandmates made it to their dorms for the first time. Stepping through the doors immediately greeted the girls with a clean, refreshing scent which was met with soft whispers of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ as they trickled in, the occasional ‘wow’ slipping out too which the dorm’s air with a new purpose — to become a home for the girls. They each explored the unfamiliar building, separating into small groups to cover more ground. YN investigated the right side of the dorms with Minnie and Lily and discovered two bathrooms, four bedrooms, and a closet holding the washer and dryer. “Babes, come look at this!” Minnie called to the rest of her group, “we have a washer and a dryer!” She exclaimed.

“They're getting quite popular lately so I’m not very surprised,” Lily responded.

“Yeah, Yeah, I know! But it’s still pretty cool since I never had one growing up.” Lily hummed in response.

“Why don’t we go check on the others, I’m sure they’re done looking around by now,” YN said, turning on her heel and walking towards the common area. Everyone agrees that the dorms are very nice but what won't be as easy to agree upon is who gets which room. There are eight bedrooms in total — one for each member — and quarrels were already beginning to form over who gets which room based on location, windows, who they wanted their neighbour to be, and so on.

After the rooms were decided upon everyone had settled in and finished their nightly routines, some stayed up trying to figure out how the television in the living room worked while others headed to bed. YN was among the majority of whom headed to bed but just as she was about to close off YouTube and set her phone on the bedside table she gets a text.

FELIX: Hey!!

FELIX: How's the first day in your new dorm been? (23:46)

Smiling at her phone, she replies.

YN: Hey, Felix! It’s been great :) I can really see myself living here haha (23:47)

FELIX: Awesome! I won’t keep you from sleeping for any longer, than. Good night and sweet dreams <33 (23:48)

YN: Thanks ^^ if THE Lee Felix wishes me sweet dreams I won’t have to worry about having a single bad dream for the rest of my life ＼(≧▽≦)／(23:49)

FELIX: LOL

Lee Felix.

Felix was a member of Stray Kids, another idol group. YN met him as a trainee since both groups were under JYP and boy did it make her life so much easier. Felix was the only other trainee she was able to make a connection with that spoke fluent English. Since moving to Korea to pursue her dream of becoming an idol she struggled to make friends since most trainees only spoke Korean and she didn’t, the ones that did were often too busy for friendships or, in a few cases, were plain rude. But Felix? He nearly blinded YN with his kindness. They met in their Korean class and decided that since they were at about the same level of fluency — barely conversational — that they could help each other study when they had time off. It wasn’t long before they became friends and started hanging out outside of studying. They would often get coffee together, play games, or even study independently together, occasionally asking each other for help. If they couldn’t see each other in person they’d settle for texting or calling instead. After almost a year of knowing each other Felix debuted, unintentionally leaving behind his best friend. He became so busy that they went from texting or calling at least once a day to barely once a week because once he would get home he just collapsed into bed. Sometimes he wouldn’t even have the energy to shower before going to sleep, forcing him to take one in the morning instead. YN and Felix felt like they were drifting apart and didn’t know what to do about it. Just over three months had passed and Felix texted YN to see if she was free to call since he had a few hours to himself to which YN happily agreed to chat. They talked for hours, and Bangchan nearly had to steal Felix’s phone to get him back to work. Felix profusely apologized for being so busy and not being able to put in the same amount of effort that YN deserved which made her giggle and told him she completely understood and never wanted to pressure him into talking to her if he didn’t have the time or energy. They caught up on what was happening in their lives and YN confessed she was going to debut soon with her girl group LuV iN and even showed him a sneak peek at their debut album. To say he was happy for her would be a grave understatement. He was absolutely ecstatic that she could finally live her dream and ushered her to reveal whatever she could to him. They talked and talked and talked and eventually they fell into a comfortable silence, sending each other memes or posts that simply reminded them of the other. After the call had ended it was close to 22:00 meaning YN needed to begin her nightly routine. A few weeks later LuV iN debuted and gained a lot of attention very quickly. A week after the debut YN started to understand how Felix felt, having 16-18 hour days every day was more difficult than she thought. LuV iN was supposed to move into their dorms right away after debuting but there were a few delays which pushed back their move-in date by two months. Once the two months were up and everything was in order YN and the others wasted no time moving in and getting settled in.

YN laid in her pyjamas staring at the ceiling thinking about how much she appreciated Felix. How kind and generous he was, how funny and charming he was, how he can make her smile just from the thought of him, how beautiful his freckles and lips were, how stunning he was when he smiled, how soft and kissable those lips were, how silky his hair was, and finally how soft his hands were and how she longed to touch them again. Her thoughts and fantasies slowly lulled her to sleep where she dreamt of something warm and sweet, just as Felix wished.

When I picture you and jennie together, I keep seeing scenarios happening at night or in the late evening. Hi! I hope you had a very nice Christmas! How was it? Mine was good and I liked all of my gifts, which was mostly some new clothes, pajamas and Wicked and Taylor stuff. What did you get? Did you get anything cool? For me, it was just a few things but that's fine. Haha I definitely think of weeks starting on Mondays. Aww it's so cool your friend is coming! Will you guys do anything fun while she is here? It's nice that you will able to spend time with her for a while when they are here! I'm happy for you.

Taylor deserves a long break so I totally get it. I'm pretty excited for rep TV but I really don't mind waiting. Haha you can always wait until rep TV is announced and then have some time to listen to all of her albums leading up to it, if you don't get to it now. That's what I usually do..the week it's supposed to be out, I spend my time listening to her albums, but now I usually just pick a few lol. Like for TTPD, I thought it was going to be more like Red, since it was a breakup album, mixed with maybe rep, and Folklore. I also listened to Lover, which was her and Joe, and Evermore, and Midnights since that was the newest obviously lol. But for when rep gets announced, I'll probably just relisten to all the rerecordings, but not rep until the night it comes out. So that's what I do, and you still have time to. I'm pretty sure it's going to be rep at this point, but before, I did think she might save it for last and it might still be a possibility. But the 20 year debut anniversary is next year already..thats crazy, and I think maybe she could wait until then, just to make it more special..idk. What do you think? I really don't mind either way though! I would be just as excited for debut.

Ahh wow I didn't think you would read it that fast! I did see and was excited for you but I didn't think you would already be done lol. It's fine that you're waiting a little bit for the movie, and it gives me a chance to read it before then and give you my thoughts. So what did you think? Did you enjoy it? Who is your favorite character? What was your favorite part..in the book like an actual scene or just about the story in general? Mine is definitely Ponyboy and my favorite part is his friendship with Johnny since it reminds me of my sister and me. I also relate to the whole being outsider thing in general but I wasn't sure if you would. Since I don't think you knew everything, what surprised you? Was it pretty much what you were expecting? Did you love it or just like it? Did the age range play a part..do you think you would like it more if you read it when you were younger? I think I read it at the right age when I was 13 and that's why I love it so much. Do you have any other thoughts or predictions about the musical after reading it? What scene do you wonder about or want to see on stage? I remember thinking how would they do the fire and the hair change..which I think are mostly successful. I'm also a bit worried I may have given some spoilers or just over hyped it and especially with the musical..but I'm so glad you liked the story at least! I also don't know how much you knew about it in general, like the vibes but I hope some stuff I said makes sense now haha. I'm excited for you to see the movie as well, which is also good in it's own way. Do you think you will watch the musical after seeing the movie or wait more..I just want to know what you think lol.

Oh that's good to know about the Wicked book and audiobook. I'm actually surprised you thought that it wasn't that bad considering I read a few things about it. I agree about being curious about how it was adapted since the book seems pretty long but they also had some of the Wizard of Oz stuff to pull from too. I just read that the added song in Part 2 is another song for Elphaba, and Cynthia helped write it so I'm wondering where it could be..since No Good Deed already exists. What do you think? I think maybe she is trying to push her chances more for an EGOT in case she doesn't win an Oscar for her acting, but if it fits and makes sense, then it could be good.

I totally see what you mean with the Back to the Future musical criticisms, and how it just seems like a big, more of a spectacle musical with the special effects. So the theme park thing makes sense to me, especially since it seems like a musical for people who don't love musicals, and more fun and like you're on a ride..like you said, which made me laugh! Thanks for the warning about the loudness and the lights so I know what to expect, in case I go. Do you think it would still be worth it to go if I get rush tickets? That and me not knowing much about it..like the songs, would be a reason, but it's also only here for a short time so I don't know yet. The songs not being the best doesn't exactly surprise me though. I read your thoughts out loud to my sister and asked what she thought, and she laughed and said it seemed interesting so we will see. I hope it was still worth it to go, and at least they did a good job adapting it from the movie.

What have you been listening to now? It's just been Christmas music, like Laufey, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson. I'm hoping I can try to watch the Sabrina Christmas special soon, maybe by New Year's Day or for New Years Eve? What are you doing new years Eve? So throughout the year, my sister and I have a playlist that we update throughout the year and listen to it on shuffle at the end of the year to the first few weeks in the year, so I'll probably be playing that. It has a lot of songs, and we usually turn it into a drinking guessing game on new years lol and we pick our top 10 albums and songs of the whole year, so I always look forward to that. I also have to try to think of lyrics that are like new years resolutions for the new year. If you have any, let me know! I have a few in mind but still have to think so I will tell you once you respond. the only resolution I have so far is to read more books..two a month, one book I own and one I don't. I said that for the past two years though so maybe I need to try to keep better track. I usually put them in pairs, so it will help, but I don't think I finished a whole single book this year so maybe we will see. I think I will start with Outsiders and work on it since you've already read it, and hopefully that gives me a good start or motivation. hello my friend! happy new year! i hope this year is kind to you and filled with all things good; good health, good reads, good foods, good music, good adventures, everything! my christmas was lovely — very cozy and chill, but very lovely! i think the best thing i got was my friend visiting (she's still here, just out exploring seattle while i'm working right now!)! i am a very sentimental person — some favorite gifts of mine this year were (in no particular order): deep heat (which my best friend brought me from australia since we can't get any here & one of my other friends also sourced some online for me), crafting supplies (one of my friends hole punched letters for me for crafting, one of them collected stickers/supplies for a while), a friend got me the special edition the notebook playbills — and a bunch of supplies for my many sicknesses (throat coat, advil, tylenol cold & flu, excedrin, shower stems, etc) which was so thoughtful (throughout the last few months they've asked me what i want from santa and i said a healthy immune system so i thought this was very thoughtful and fun). i also got some clothes from my mom! one of my friends got toto a kraken hockey toy which i thought was really fun and sweet too (i always get her cats, toto's cousins, some christmas gifts and she always gets toto a little something too).

my best friend & i have been doing the touristy seattle stuff mostly! but also she's been doing some exploring without me while i've been at work! luckily her trip overlaps with a homestand here for the kraken, so we're going to a bunch of games and then we've got california next week! should be very, very fun!

i actually did the whole discography relisten in two days last week! crammed it in and my schedule looked a little crazy but it all worked out! oh i didn't even think about 20 years of debut, that's sooooo. wow. time is really just passing, huh! i really am so so excited for debut and those vault tracks — i'd love a second album of vaults but i know that won't happen haha.

okay with the outsiders.... i think my best friend and i may watch the bootleg (or try to) while she's here — so either before california or after (not that we have a lot of time together left post-california), so i'll post about it and send you a bat signal if we do that! and then jamie and i are going to watch the movie sometime so i guess i will be doing that out of order, but that's okay! i think darry and sodapop were probably my favorites but obviously i also quite liked ponyboy! i think i would've liked it more if i was younger, but i did like it! and you're totally fine with spoilers haha, some of my friends are frequent visitors to the bernard b. jacobs and i see a lot of their posts/stories/etc. about the outsiders musical!

i'm really intrigued about the new song. i've been seeing some tweets of the wicked deleted scenes and it feels like they deleted ... a lot of scenes that would've really elevated the glinda/elphaba dynamic and add more depth to it so i'm ... kind of sad. and it feels like if it wasn't for ariana and cynthia's love for the stage show, a lot of the heart of the musical wouldn't have been there? so that's ... interesting. am a bit worried for part 2. but am intrigued either way!

i think if you got rush tickets it's totally worth going! i'm always in favor of going to see a show if you can make things work! and i think by then you'll have the new george mcfly? which could be fun to see! hi to your sister :)

i'm actually trying to do 365 albums in 365 (loosely) but at the very least a new album a week or something. we'll see how this goes. i'm hoping to get through some of your recs from last year at least! i watched the sabrina special when i came back from eras! i knew there was something i hadn't talked to you about and was meaning to! i thought it was just so fun! i hope you enjoy it when you get to it!

new year's eve was very uneventful for me and mary (my best friend) — we had a hockey game the night before and came home pretty tired + i worked on the 31st/she went touristing (went down to the waterfront, etc.) and then for new year's we had lunch with my uncle and then mostly just hung out! it was really lovely and cozy! tonight we're going to another hockey game so we needed the rest! i hope you enjoy your reread of the outsiders! i have a few goals myself for the new year (and ways to track it) but don't think i will have time to sit down and read until maybe california? when i'm on the plane? who knows!

Goobers anon again - and wow I was not expecting such a detailed answer about the remaining chapters, thank you so much!! I feel blessed honestly, this is definitely going to enhance future reads <3 I'm so happy to know you were left with positive feelings overall about writing and sharing it too, it's such a celebration of friendship and humanity and love and the profoundness of small things, and going by your ideas for the rest I can tell those chapters would've been just as brilliant- the singing game especially is so inspired, I bet their song selections would be absolutely chaotic lol (side note: I always enjoy the little music references you add in your fics, and also as a south asian I have definitely smiled at some of the subtle nods to the history/culture/food :D Cannot emphasise how much your work ticks all my boxes basically!) And I'm glad Crowley finally finds out what the moon is- I'll probably never figure it out, so I'll have to imagine it's something with a lot of build up but ultimately kind of silly in the best way, Dick Turpin style haha. A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Behind closed doors, John only shows his affection for Dove then: kisses, holding her, etc. Is not a fan of PDA, maybe around Dove's family he'd be more open to subtle things like hand holding, her snuggled up against him on a couch, but he prefers outwardly in public for them to appear more professional. Besides sharing strawberry milkshakes... thats an affectionate gesture he loves and allows to happen on steak n shake dates all the time.

Dove is more affectionate but understands John's boundaries in public and would never cross them.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

becoming friends with John is difficult, but Dove managed it just by being stubborn and funny and cute in just the right ways where he tolerates her/enjoys her presence. friendship becomes distinct from just dove being a helper via john showing her his interests, things he only shares with people close to him. good friends !

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

yesss! both like cuddling. John loves spooning her, or her buried into his chest, or him laying on his back with her cuddled and laying on top of him. Its so nice he loves it, she loves it, just being so close and comfortable together..... relaxing....

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

hmmmm eventually. they both got shit to do. both are good at cooking and cleaning. John I bet better at both lol. He's giving more of a need to keep things tidy and clean type of person.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

I don't know what would lead to John and Dove breaking up, because its not like John's ever increasing spiral to murder is at all distressing Dove because she has the same mindset as John, the same dedication. Maybe if someone snapped her out of it and made her see just how John is, or if maybe he got too angry about something in front of her she'd dump him? Idk I don't like thinking about it.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I don't think either really have any interest or want to. Not till a while.. again there's other stuff to worry about. Dove probably has that girly teeeheeeee feeling about eventually John marrying her and does the whole "Dove Gein... wow..." but thats something thats definitely not happening anytime soon. Not scared of it, either of them, but there's no need to do it lol

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Dove is a very gentle and kind person all things considered. She's a strong person physically though. Don't let her kindness fool you. she exercises, she's got some weight to her and she knows how to use it to defend herself. Soft physically in the if you touch her way.

John... No he's not gentle either way. that goes without saying lol. To Dove though he shows a more gentle side!

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

They both like hugs. John's hugs are so... he's bigger than Dove so he just envelops her into him when he hugs her, wraps her in his arms, buries her face into his chest and holds her tight and so close. And she loves hugging him! Nothing better than having your boyfriend to yourself and able to hug him tight and pull his face down and kiss across his cheeks and forehead

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

not fast lmao. took a bit to go from friendship to a weird middle ground where both kind of pine for the other, but no one's saying anything or confessing anything. John confessed first. Out of grounding Dove from some panicked incident she had. A hard kiss to her lips, only to pull away and him to tell her he loved her. With many more confessions to come afterward

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

John doesn't get jealous lol. Not at all. (i mean cmon look at him) he knows Dove loves him. He knows Dove has no interest in anyone else. He doesn't care if another man or woman talks to her bc he knows she just brushes them off.

Dove gets jealous though and gets embarrassed about it, and hates admitting she gets jealous. She tends to get shy and non-verbal when she's feeling jealous about whatever, maybe John gets some looks from other women, or he has to spend time away from her with someone else. I think a quick reminder from John of how much he loves her would soothe her distress.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss their partner? Where do they like to be kissed?)

John's kisses are either soft quick pecks to Dove's forehead/lips or they're hard and hungry ones to her lips and neck. Loves kissing all over her body. Or a kiss to her knuckles, kissing up her arm to make her all shy and blushy. Loves making her feel desired. He likes when she kisses across his face and giggles at him when he smiles about it.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Dove is uneasy around children, she doesn't know how to relate to them she does NOT have a single maternal bone in her body. She does not crave children in any capacity.

John is surprisingly good with children imo! Rare John silly side coming out to interact with them haha.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

John wakes up earlier than Dove just so he can have the extra time to look at her face in the creeping daylight, and admire her sleeping features, so soft and gentle... so beautiful. When he has to get up its her sleepily groaning her protests, reaching out for him to come back to bed. It breaks his heart he wants nothing more to be with her in these moments... Or when he doesn't have to work its the two of them getting up to make breakfast. Dove being silly and him amusedly watching her, stealing kisses.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

A lot of time just relaxing after a long day typically. Sometimes... otherways but lots of snuggling. Talking, maybe watching a show/movie together. nice standard stuff. Relaxing together.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Dove opens up easily about stuff about herself I think. Once she's happily comfortable with him she's more than excited to tell him about herself. reveal shit that plagues her life. John's way more secretive about his life I think. Not readily as open to reveal things and that's okay with Dove she won't press him about anything he doesn't want to talk about. But she probably knows the most about him than any other person.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

John has anger issues, its not a secret, but he can't get mad at her for any reason. It would destroy him if John were ever accidentally angry at Dove for a stupid reason. He is a bit anxious about Dove seeing that side of him so he won't scare her. I think he'd be emotionally mature enough to specifically tell/warn her he isn't feeling too happy/pissed off by something.

Dove's only angry when something threatens herself/someone she loves, or someone just gets on her nerves too much. Overall pleasant person

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about their partner? Do they remember every little detail they mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

John makes sure to remember every little detail about Dove, everything she tells him. He used to be a reporter, currently a detective of sorts, important to remember information so he finds himself remembering everything she tells him.

Dove is a bit forgetful lol, but she definitely won't forget important things John tells her... maybe

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in their relationship?)

For Dove its probably the first time even as close friends when they begin sharing milkshakes! The first time John orders a strawberry milkshake for seemingly himself but when it comes he asks for two straws and asks her to share it with him. Blown away by that... endearing.

For John um. he goes all the way back to when he begrudgingly began letting her help him. Annoyed in the beginning but now he's so secretly happy he relented and let her be stubborn with him.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect their partner? How would they like to be protected?)

John is very protective. Ofc he is. in this world? with the shit he's seen? Not only from people harming dove, but from just everything else. He doesn't want Dove getting hurt in anyway. Even if that means precaution in holding Dove back from chasing pigeons in the park or petting a feral cat. He'd feel guilty if anything happened to her. He refuses to let anything happen to her. He'd teach her how to shoot, properly throw a punch.

John doesn't need protection, Dove knows this, but she also does her best to protect him.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

JOHN GOES ALL OUT MAN. He would spend his entire paycheck on her if he wasn't stopped HAHA. Flowers and candy. Romantic dates, giving her thoughtful gifts. He loves her so much he has the need to be like this around her.

Dove tries her best despite John not caring on his end how much effort she puts into getting him things. He's more into making sure she's more doted on. He has his gentlemanly moments ofc.... she gets him cute things from time to time!

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

John's anger issues, his secret keeping, stubbornness.

Dove can be a bit messy and forget important things, forget to take care of herself especially when she slips into depressive moods

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

I don't think he cares about his attractiveness, but John makes sure to keep himself presentable at least. With Dove he might care more about how he's perceived by her

Dove isn't concerned with her looks at all lmao. She doesn't care. No make up going on nothing. What you see is what you get with her.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without their partner?)

Both is a yes now that they're together. They complete each other. Crave each other's companionship and love like nothing else.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

John doesn't say it but he's obsessed with Dove. She's in his mind every waking moment, in his dreams occasionally. He loves her. Wholeheartedly with every breath. He craves her attention, her love, her body. Everything. If he wasn't so averse to PDA he'd make sure the entire world understands how much he loves her. That she's his. When she can't be near him, he's texting her, calling her, sending her workplace flowers. He wants her to understand how loved she is by him.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

In general, John doesn't like being told no. He's stubborn and will not take it for an answer and will come back in force later.

Dove doesn't like stupid people lol

Dove neeeeds to snuggle something to sleep, whether its John or a plushie John got for her, she neeeds snuggles.
