🌟Weigh-in at 135.4 lbs
🌟45 min on treadmill hills
🌟Gut-healthy meals
🌟Made a winter arc inspo for my Pinterest board
Lol you can’t read the treadmill, but overall did almost 17k steps for the whole day. Steamed egg with spinach, mushroom, and green onion on top of quinoa for a high protein, gut-healthy breakfast. Old fashioned oatmeal with cinnamon, vanilla extract, chopped almonds, flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, and blueberries. Meal prepped sautéed bok choy, tofu, and shiitake mushrooms topped with hemp hearts and a side of quinoa for extra protein.

Fairy’s Wellness Drink 🍋 🫚
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a pity that the term “detox” has been so overused and used to market drinks and diets that are supposed to be a “magic pill” for all health and weight loss things related.
I know your body has the organs necessary to detox itself and so on. I still like this drink! I just don’t like to call it “detox” not to give the idea that it does anything particularly miraculous 🧙‍♀️
It just sets the tone of the day for me and I can tweak it in different ways (adding fresh mint or green apple slices or even cinnamon) and I simply like it!
Even though it’s an acquired taste, and the straw is pretty much mandatory because of the level of acidity to help protect your teeth enamel.
Roughly it consists of:
A tall glass (mason jar, etc) of water
1 cap of raw apple cider vinegar (I literally use the cap of the bottle to measure it out!)
1-2 limes (or half a lemon), some sliced and some juiced
A bit of fresh grated ginger (or ginger powder)
Some of the actual benefits, apart from naturally helping with hydration (because water!) and some vitamin C, the component in the ACV may help regulating blood sugar levels, plus if you use actual raw ACV with “the mother” the probiotics are good for gut health.
Let me know if you’d try it and how you’d modify it according to your taste and needs 🥤

What are some easy and effective exercises for weight loss?
Tumblr media
1. Cardio
Cardio is obviously the first exercise for weight loss and is great if you’re not currently doing any kind of cardio already. There are many different types of cardio, including walking, running, swimming, cycling, and others. If you want to lose weight, make sure you keep your heart rate going at about 70 percent of your maximum heart rate. When you do cardio, try to go for 30 minutes at a time three times per week and cut down on high calorie foods throughout the day.
2. Strength Training
Strength training is one of the best ways to burn fat and build muscle mass while working out. While we often think of lifting weights as being only for men, women benefit just as much from lifting weights as they do men. Women should lift heavier than men, and aim for anywhere between 8 and 12 repetitions per set. You don’t have to lift heavy weights either; using bodyweight is fine. You can start off with simple pushups and planks, then move onto squats and lunges. You can even use dumbbells or kettle bells if you prefer. All these exercises should be done two or three times per week.
3. Plyometric Push-Ups
Plyometrics is an awesome way to get leaner fast. These workouts work your entire upper body and lower body simultaneously, meaning you’re able to target specific muscles and get results faster. Start with five sets of 10 reps each. Do these two or three times per month.
4. Full Body Jumping Rope Workout
Jumping rope burns calories and builds stamina. Try jumping rope twice a week with a total minimum of 20 minutes of jumping. Use the technique where you skip rope in front of your feet and jump over both ropes. Make sure to hold yourself steady and perform jumps of 30 seconds or longer.
5. Yoga
Yoga is great for building flexibility, strength, balance, and endurance. If you really want to increase your strength, yoga is the perfect workout. To add variety to your routine, focus on strengthening your core while performing yoga poses. Practicing yoga can help you become stronger, healthier, and more flexible.

not to be dramatic but I actually cried myself to sleep when I first got told I had to cut out my high fat low carb, 2 meals a day diet for a low fat, high grain diet while also eating 5-6 times a day. I threw up maybe 5 times that night. both of my fat kitties lay on top of me all night in an effort to soothe me but I really thought I was dying cause I haven’t eaten carbs like that in years and I just cannot conceive how I can maintain my abs and muscles with such a grotesque diet. Anyways I’m fine now and I’m gonna continue my strict alkaline diet for two weeks but eventually I wanna go back to some form of low carb diet minus the energy drinks and sodas.

Unleash Your Inner Powerhouse: Best Foods to Improve Gut Health for Weight Loss
Hey there, weight loss warriors! Sarah here, your guide to sustainable weight loss on Medium. Today, we're diving into the fascinating world of gut health and its surprising connection to shedding those unwanted pounds.
Tumblr media
Let's face it, the "abs are made in the kitchen" motto rings true. But what if your kitchen efforts are being sabotaged by an unhappy gut? Research suggests a strong link between gut bacteria and weight management. So, fueling your gut with the right foods can be a game-changer in your weight loss journey.
Here's the good news: you don't need fancy supplements or drastic changes. Let's explore some readily available US supermarket staples that'll transform your gut into a weight-loss ally:
1. Fiber Fiesta: Your Gut's BFF
Fiber is the ultimate prebiotic, food for the good bacteria in your gut. These friendly fellas keep you feeling full, regulate digestion, and even help control blood sugar – all factors that contribute to healthy weight management.
Load Up on Leafy Greens: Spinach, kale, and romaine lettuce are all-star sources of fiber. Aim for a colorful mix in your salads and stir-fries.
Go Whole Grain: Ditch refined carbs like white bread and pasta. Opt for whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and quinoa for sustained energy and gut-friendly fiber.
Bean Bonanza: Beans and lentils are a triple threat: packed with fiber, protein, and resistant starch, a prebiotic superstar. Enjoy them in chili, soups, or hearty salads.
2. Fermented Frenzy: Probiotics to the Rescue
Fermented foods are teeming with probiotics, the live bacteria that work wonders for your gut. They aid digestion, boost immunity, and may even help regulate weight by promoting feelings of fullness.
Yogurt Power: Choose plain yogurt with live and active cultures. Sweeten it naturally with berries or a drizzle of honey for a satisfying snack.
Kimchi Kick: This spicy Korean staple is a fermented cabbage dish loaded with probiotics. Add a dollop to your next stir-fry or enjoy it as a side dish.
Sauerkraut Savvy: This tangy fermented cabbage is another excellent source of probiotics. Find it in the refrigerated section of your grocery store and enjoy it on hot dogs or alongside sausages.
3. Prebiotic Powerhouses: Fueling the Good Guys
While not technically probiotics themselves, prebiotics are the food source for your gut's good bacteria. By feeding them, you promote a healthy gut microbiome which can positively impact weight management.
Banana Bonanza: These readily available fruits are high in prebiotic fiber (resistant starch) that keeps you feeling fuller for longer.
Garlic Goodness: This flavorful addition to your meals boasts prebiotic properties. Add it to stir-fries, pasta sauces, or enjoy roasted garlic cloves for a satisfying snack.
Asparagus Advantage: This spring vegetable is another source of prebiotic fiber. Roast it, steam it, or grill it for a delicious and gut-friendly side dish.
Bonus Tip: Stay Hydrated!
Water is essential for optimal gut health and digestion. Aim for eight glasses of water daily to keep your gut functioning smoothly and support weight management efforts.
Remember: Weight loss is a journey, and a healthy gut is your travel companion. By incorporating these gut-friendly foods into your American diet, you'll be well on your way to a healthier, happier you, both inside and out.
