also, i think it's very interesting how that friend of vi who she met on the streets of piltover immediately gets out when he sees caitlyn is accepting what ambessa is proposing. he gets that it's not about saving people, that what ambessa wants (and caitlyn is going to do) is targeted violence, on top of a structural system that created this mess in the first place. she's now only seeking revenge.

and can we talk about how Vi and Caitlyn on the lore were always Vi punching and asking later, and Caitlyn being the most "careful" one, and now in Arcane we're seeing the absolute opposite? i think that's so fascinating to watch because, especially with the little lore we have, when making headcanons, a lot of ppl put vi in this position of carelessness and caitlyn reasoning her. but right now we're seeing the complete opposite because Vi had years to put her anger out in prison (bc of very unfortunate situations), but caitlyn not only is a person that is out in world while in her anger phase of grief, but also is on an authority position and has free access to weapons and is being manipulated by someone who is exploiting her anger to the extent of using outside army

kind of struck me in episode one the doctor says 'why did i run? i never run away' or something. then in episode two he also runs away and ruby says 'but doctor you never hide'. ruby, he just ran away 2 out of 3 times of all your adventures you've been on - it felt like she only said that because its something 'companion of doctor' would say. anyway idk it just felt a little like careless writing to me

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways

The thing is ... Nobody wants people or tells people to stop shipping Buddie. It's a fanon ship that is popular for reasons. I like it too (when I get the chance to interact with people who don't make everything into a ship war). And it's going to always exist no matter if it's canon or not. Because that's the meaning of shipping. It doesn't have to be canon. Same thing with Bucktommy. If they break up, people are still going to ship them. It's how fandom works. And it's supposed to be fun. The thing is: People tell you to stop being a hater and a bully just because you can't take that your fanon ship is not canon. This show isn't being written for one specific corner of the fandom. If you can't appreciate this show and the ensemble anymore because all you care about is gay Eddie and Buddie canon, and if you feel the urge to bully an actor who is just there doing his job, then there's something wrong and you're in too deep. You don't care about the show or the characters. You care about being right. No matter what the writer, cast and crew tell you, you will always see what you want to see and since that's not what happens, you're always going to end up angry, sad, confused and miserable. Like ... Eddie is so sad because he's missing Chris right now. And his stans just don't care?! All I see is them trying to twist Tommy OBVIOUSLY being a caring boyfriend in this episode to convince themselves Buddie is still happening and trying to find more proof for gay Eddie. At this point, it's just sad.

It's been 4 years and I'm still obsessed with the way EP 02 of Good Omens entire paintball scene is a microcosm not only of the universe but of the whole Angels vs. Demons fight, God's position on it, and basically explains the ineffable plan without stalling in exposition. It's pure genius.
