#grunge fabric

Stripe fabric made into a little wall hanging. Mitred borders with the stripe was easy and fun.

I couldn’t decide on a side setting triangle colour until I said “fuck it, make it bright” and picked the bright yellow. I love it.

Free motion quilted on my domestic with a loop meander using yellow thread. I… think I used the yellow grunge fabric for the backing? I didn’t have much of the stripe and that’s why I did a small project.

Ok SO the adhd won this year and I didn't start making gifts until this week

BUT the adhd also made me work extremely quickly and very fast under the impending deadline so without further ado

GIFT 1:

Back has a spine and ribcage, front gas an embroidered heart!

GIFT 2:

Back has a cute little raccoon, front has a funny little rabies meme lol

Anyway, I still need to sew on the heart patch, and then iron the fabric paint, but otherwise these are done!!!

This was my first time using a sewing machine, and the one we have sucks ass, so I was struggling lmaooo

I may add an update after everything's been washed and stuff

what kind of paint did you use on your clothes? it looks REALLY good!

I use the cheapest or free-est acrylic craft paint, or house paint sometimes. Thanks for asking, cause you inspired me to make a bunch of new patches!

Found a quilting pattern called “Matchsticks” that reminded me of the crosshatching look of the fabrics and just knew that was the one for this. I used the last of the black to bind it, and it looks fab against the silver cuddletex backing.

I’m really happy I got this guy done for halloween :D

He ended up 67” by 77”, which I think it a nice big throw, perfect for a cuddle on a couch <3

Throwing a quick halloween quilt top together before the 31st. May not get it quilted and bound before then, but the top should be complete!

Been on the hunt for some kick ass platforms for a while now, which has proven difficult when you try not to throw money to just any company and you have freaking massive feet. So when I found these platform American Eagle sandals at the thrift for four bucks I knew my time had come. So some locktight, painter's tape and half a bottle of white fabric paint later, here we have it! My reason for exiting my house at all in the summer! Seriously though, so obsessed with how these turned out.

soooooo ok i need an opinion. I've had these small, leather circles in my supplies since middle school and have never had a project to use them on. I'm thinking of sewing them into my patch jacket like dragon scales, do u think this looks cool? Obviously, they'll look neater/more secure when they're sewn in.
