I’m rewatching Young Justice again and in “Independence Day” I am just STRUCK by how well they introduce all four of the “sidekicks” and their respective mentors.

Like Robin is so at home fighting against villains. He cackles and he almost seems bored because he’s rather dismissive of Mr. Freeze and of the fight. He’s also fairly at ease with Batman, because I imagine not many other people, can tell Batman, “yeah, yeah” in that tone.

Speedy, on the other hand, is very serious. He’s the only one of the four who questions the villains’ motives and he is the one getting annoyed with Green Arrow for joking around.

Aqualad is also serious but in a much calm and less aggressive way. He absolutely oozes respect for Aquaman, even when his mentor teases him about being excited for the day ahead.

And Kid Flash? He’s going full-on impatient, excited puppy mode. He’s so impatient to get there that he allows himself to get slightly frozen in order to stop the fight as soon as possible. And his wide, excited grin is so telling of his generally positive personality

Anyway, if you're a fan of Bruce and Steph having a father/daughter relationship you should probably go read about Oliver and Mia.

Like Superman has Lex Luthor, Green Lantern has Sinestro and Wonder Woman has Cheetah, but is that like it? Like they don't have 10+ villains who they fight on the regular? Does Flash and Green Arrow even have an Archnemesis?

Not sure why this myth of 'Zatanna was a teen originally in the 60's' persist. Even in her introductory arc she states "I saw my father! For the first time in twenty long and lonely years'. That puts her in her mid-20's at best (same age as Babs prior to her de aging) and the Teen Titans were very much teens during that period.

Only change that happened was that later on, her Whos Who was updated so her father disappeared when she was 18 then she spent an unspecified number of years looking for him.

Even before the childhood friendship with Batman was incorporated into comics, she was treated as an older woman.

I'm never going to stop thinking about the season 1 Lian Yu flashbacks Oliver-Odysseus parallels, like I'm so sad they never leaned further into that, especially with how him and Felicity ended. It could have been a modern retelling type thing when you think about it and I am very much thinking about it.
