The Fallers Creator is finally done! Started in March, I've used all my love for Gravity Falls to put together this GF themed creator. Fellow fans should recognize plenty of easter eggs from the show. I wanted to make it as inclusive as possible so there's also a good amount of skin tones to choose from, a wheelchair piece, a hearing aid as well as plenty of lgbt pins! Make sure to check all the colors for items!

In love with the idea of captain marvel being Billy's imaginary friend. Like, it'd be so easy. Early depictions had them as almost fully separate people sometimes, like one soul with two minds, rather than just two filters like we mostly see now.

But imagine a Billy down on his luck, hurt and hiding from police and criminals alike, daydreaming the hours away as children do, taking inspiration from all the superheroes rising to fame, making little stories to play out his dreams of saving the world with a generic action doll he found while dumpster diving once. Most of the paint's rubbed off.

Red's his favourite colour, his comfiest jumper is a bright ruby even after all the grime and washes. Gold, too, it's shiny and warmer than silver! A hero cape is a must, big and eye catching! And he can fly, of course, like superman, and in his daydreams, when he's sore and frustrated after a long day's grind, his superhero is smart enough and knows all the right words to get the bullies to stop without resorting to fighting.

His superhero fantasy is one he spends a lot of time on, the first one he goes for when struggling to sleep at night, and he can picture it so clearly. Captain marvel is big and bright and kind, strong enough to lift the boxes for the old lady up the road who's moving all by himself, fast enough to catch Jamie who fell out of the tree on Saturday and broke his leg and couldn't come to class for weeks. He appears at the entrance to alleys when Billy is cornered, he steps up behind to cover for him when he gets caught shoplifting, he sits at the bus stop with him when it's pouring rain and the right bus doesn't seem to be coming.

And then the wizard comes, or rather whisks him away, and like a magician from a fairytale breathes life into his imaginary friend until Billy feels thrice his size and a million times more invincible.

From then on, captain marvel is a real hero, just like Billy is a real boy, and as one they save the whole city, and then the whole world, and get cats down from trees and help Mrs Victoria move the last of her boxes and she gives them a pinch in the cheek and cookies for the road and sometimes it hurts but it's so much better than he imagined.

i literally read the book of bill days ago but its only now kinda hitting me how fucked ford and bills whole thing was though cause ford literally talks about being so unable to sleep (to try to keep bill away), and when sleep inevitably caught up to him, he would wake up to his body abused and things messed with and he just couldnt seem to find an escape (and he literally didnt get to truly escape until 30 years later)

(also keeping people awake for unhealthily long periods of time is another tactic used to mess with and control people because of how it impairs brain function)

listing off the things we see in those few pages in the book of bill:

i mean, punching and scratching at a steel door for hours would be so damaging to your hands and probably hurt like hell for at least 2 days after. then bill says he was hitting fords head against a wall, though its said in a post-it as if its a joke, but he also isnt exactly above doing that, and honestly he says most things like its a joke.

i also dont need to say 'bill really doesnt know how to take no for an answer' because he makes that very clear in literally any interaction we see with him.

bill literally puts a venomous snake near ford while fords asleep, which could have killed him if he wasnt lucky+skilled enough to deal with it.

he nearly gives ford hypothermia, and in the same action actively threatens ford with the idea of making him jump off of a high spot, and like ford says, doesnt do it just so he can send a message to ford about how hes the one in control.

he gets ford in trouble with not only the law, but also with other people that are probably not very happy with him after. he mutilates fords body in several ways, and i dont think i need to go into detail on them because theyre... so ew. and he even exposes part of fords body to the world. like, its just taking his shirt off, but thats still showing off his body in a way that he didnt agree to or want

and then he attempts to (or purposefully fails to) call stan, using fords voice to threaten suicide and tell stan that ford never loved him.

and he punctuates it with a final power move, in a hallucination that he creates, hes messing with stans memories and making him feel like his body was basically about to implode

and like. okay, we all joke about toxic old man yaoi, and its a good joke and toxic old man yaoi is great and its an interesting ship, but holy fuck.

like. to say the absolute least, that had to be so, so deeply violating. its no wonder that when we see ford in the past, when he finally contacts stan, he looks like hes on the verge of shattering into a million pieces. he just went through, and still wasnt yet out of, some deeply abusive shit.

like... everything coming out lately both in this book and what ive heard is on the website, mixed with what we already knew from the show itself... the stans are both so, so fucking tragic dude. their whole lives were thrown away over things that really didnt even need to be the way they were, and then they both get into situations that are pretty damn screwed, and those situations follow them for the rest of their lives. its basically a miracle that things worked out in the end for them.

i dont really have a point, i just had to talk about all that. i read almost all of the book of bill in one sitting, and while i was really enjoying it, i was also getting kind of tired of sitting in one spot only doing this one thing for several hours straight. i still felt a lot of the emotional bits of it of course, but man this part specifically just really didnt hit me until now.

i mean, to say the absolute least, i know what its like to feel violated in a similar way, though not anywhere near to the extent of what he went through at all. someone get that man some therapy got damn

there should seriously be a sequel to bill's reddit AMA now that the book came out. now that we know about the divorce and everything. im dead serious i have questions for that little freak

the only annoying thing is that bob's burgers only credits a voice actor once per episode even if they're playing five different characters, and they're only credited for their most prominent role. so like if h jon benjiman voices bob, jimmy jr and ms labonz in an episode he'll only be credited for bob AND there won't be any onscreen credits for who voiced jimmy jr and ms labonz (there never has been in the entire series run, same for jocelyn and various other characters) which is fine if you already know who voices them but is annoying if you're a new viewer or its a one-off character and they're voiced by a main cast member because their voice actor won't be credited ANYWHERE and may be impossible to find unless you dive into the depths of internal fox networking websites

kinda wish they would change that and credit on a by-character basis but I feel like 14 seasons in might be too late to switch it up

I love shows and movies that don't let me make up my own characters and put them in the show. I'm not saying that I don't love making up my own characters and putting them in shows I love doing that and my brain will do it against my own will. I just really love a good show or movie that leaves me with feeling of wanting to make a new character. one example of this for me was Song of the Sea which and Gravity Falls witch I freaking love but my brain feels no need to add on to them. when I find a movie that my brain let's me think about without making up a new character and shoving it into the plot I get really freaking happy because I can sleep at night and feel at peace and also work on the book I'm writing. I honestly and wholeheartedly believe that this type of story where your brain doesn't feel the need to add on to it is beautiful and really interesting and I want to find more shows, books, and movies like this. I am aware that this type of media is most likely different for each person but I feel that no one ever takes the time to enjoy or talk about this type of media. I could go on and on about this but I don't want to bore the two people who read this so that's all. no by all means keep judging cartoon villains solely by if they get redeemed in the end. i know some of us like to talk about other stuff like characterization or entertainment value or nuance as something that makes a good villain. but i think the only thing that actually matters is if the villain ends up on good terms with the protagonist at the end. all the Good TM cartoons with Good TM creators make the villains die a Horrible Death for being Abusers or whatever. and all the Bad TM cartoons with Bad TM creators Forgive Fascists by not making them get publicly executed by the 14 year old protagonist in front of the 8 year old target demographic.

i mean im so glad that more cartoons nowadays are subverting the psyop to support fascists that a few queer artists and queer shows definitely invented in 2017. there are so many popular cartoons doing that. it's almost like there are more properties killing their villains now and in the past than there ever were of properties that didn't do this. and it's almost like whether the villain gets redeemed at the end is more about the context of the story and its themes leading up to a narratively sound decision.

but you know. a few queer shows made by trans ppl were popular and they didn't kill their fascists and even had the gall to make them nuanced while also looking into the harm they did. guess it's trendy to forgive your abusers now because like two cartoons said so. out of like 40 other similarly high profile works that just straight up hit their villains with a bus or smth. by all means. keep heaping praise onto that one show about how they "let their villain just be evil" instead of talking about anything more interesting. that's so subversive, everyone's doing it!

figured i’d give everyone a quick look at how the gravity falls picrew is going. above is a image of some parts put together to show how it might look. ofc it’s still missing stuff like the back hair and the hands and the like.

to give an idea of how many pieces there are, there’s currently 2 different body types (ik there should be more but i kept it to two b/c i’ll have to remake every piece of clothing twice as it is.) with 10 skin tones, 17 hair colors and at least 15 different bangs planned, 5 ears, 5 different eyebrow types with diff emotions as well, 4 different eye shapes with 4 different styles as well as diff eyelash styles, 36 facial features, 4 head shapes, 24 types of mouths, 7 different nose shapes and more stuff on the way! i really want to try and make this as inclusive as a can without necessarily spending an eternity on it.

i’ll be open to any suggestions as i continue working on the picrew! i won’t be able to necessarily implement everything suggested but i’ll try my best to add what i can. also you can guess i’ll be adding the clothes, hair and accessories of the main characters but i also want to add in some lesser known gravity falls stuff in here.

He got his goose, Oscar, 14 years ago on this day. Oscar is pretty old now, and very grumpy (even for a goose) but loves V very much so!
