i'm. genuinely considering making a granblue fantasy cookbook now. or recipes at least
#i'd need a team ideally to scour ALL the side stories for ideas#but there's no granblue fantasy community on tumblr#i'd need people who are a) into gbf b) into cooking/baking c) The Right Kind Of People and d) on platforms i'm on#that leaves a pool of. basically zero#so i'd have to do it solo#(''the right kind of people'' being just. anyone who isn't any kind of discriminatory or just a weirdo in general)

So, the whole situation with NTT, NTT West, NTT Solmare and Obey Me! seems to be: (Preface the Company structure is NTT > NTT West > Solmare > Shall We Date/Obey Me) NTT West is under performing and they were told by NTT that they have to get their shit together and specifically called out Solmare as a means in which they can increase growth for NTT West. Now Solmare has seemingly in a desire to earn more money decided to stop development on Obey Me! games as a whole (in part because they aren't doing well financially) and move their focus into Gal Games (with a new browser game Fantome Rapport, and a seeming revival of Moe!Ninja Girls). Those so far are mostly the facts. Opinions/Speculation below:
It is possible they may revive older otome titles (Most likely Wizardess Heart) but it seems very unlikely at the moment. They already shut down Story Jar. Frankly, I think they were trying to move away from otome for a while. The lacking romance in NB might have very well been trying to steer it into more Joseimuke territory, which considering that some of the top earning Joseimuke games are also Rhythm games (Enstars, and Idolish7) or have notable rhythm game elements (Twisted Wonderland) seems in line with NB being a rhythm game too. How will this go for Solmare? Who knows. Moe!Ninja Girls had a fanbase but it's been four years since they stopped content for the game. Fantome Rapport is a as-of-now japan-only browser title + audio drama series that they're definitely getting well-established VAs behind (the VA for Jolyne Kugo, and Paimon (Genshin) are both cast as side characters). The Gal Game genre (Boy x Girl, or even just "gooner bait") is very broad and absolutely stacked with competition. Like DMM.com already has cornered it with browser-based games (and they have porn) in japan. There is Nutaku for EN. DLsite and Erolabs are even more competition in that space. There is also Azur Lane, Blue Archive, Nikke: Goddess of Victory, Girl's Frontline 2, and plenty of other smaller titles (like Crush Crush). Visual Novels are not as popular as other game genres amongst Gal Games. They are popular ones but they tend to do better as non-mobile experiences. Also, Katawa Shoujo exists and is free. Meanwhile, the Otome, and Joseimuke genres are under served. Especially in NA. Like, Love and Deepspace isn't earning Genshin money because people don't like otome. If they were smart, and really didn't want to keep making Otome games; they'd try to tap both markets with a more inclusive game/series that aimed at both and male and female players with romance. There are games that kinda there (Genshin Impact/Honkai Star Rail/ZZZ, Wuthering Waves, Granblue Fantasy) but they all lack on romance (they also tend to lean more towards a male audience). As far as SWD/Obey Me dev's future; They're actually fighting for their life right now (figurative). They better have a real good plan for whatever they plan to continue OM with because I don't doubt for a minute that Solmare will nuke OM from existence if they don't start earning more/enough. So, like, remember to archive everything! Ex and Bee is also up in the air as their only other kinda-sorta otome project. There was at least a sign of life from the twitter account but at the moment no news on what's next.
#obey me#obey me nightbringer#oh god this turned out so long I'm sorry if it's unreadable#the opinion section is significantly longer then the facts section lol#otome talk#notome talk

Rusted Arc dialouge lines
This took way longer than it should've, but I did it.
Side note: His 3rd Ascension is a reference to Ragna from Ragna Crimson & Guider to the eternal edge from Granblue fantasy. He is a 3 star servant coming from an event.
Also, the Witch of the Holy Night Collab is coming out for FGO, and Aoko and Soujuurou look amazing. It also applies to Alice as well, but Alice and Aoko take the cake on NPs for the event.
Summoning (pre event): Greerings, I am the rusted knight, guardian of the Ever after. What's that, a fairytale, I see so you have servants connected to stories. Well then master, what story are you trying to tell?
Summoning (post event): Well, didn't think I see you again. Glad to see you again, Master of Chaldea. Since you helped me, it makes sense I do so in return. So master what will you have this freelance knight do?
Level up 1: Oh, I felt a change, it's almost like some chains have been lifted.
Level up 2: Mastery is a journey that almost never ends. I wonder what step is this?
Level up 3: Seems I reached a new step in my journey. Don't worry I'll always be of help when you need me.
1st Ascension: This form, never thought I see this face again. I guess proper introductions are in order. My original name is Jaune Arc. Though at this point it may not mean much to anyone.
2nd ascension: Hmm no changes huh? Well that's fine, though I didn't expect to return to my 19 year old self. Though it is nice Juniper recognize me instantly.
3rd Ascension: This...what is this apperance? These scars, my hair, and yet the strangest thing is, I feel so close to my aura. I think I reached a new understanding.
4th ascension: So, this is my limit as a Pretender. It's not bad, for a time I only accepted the role as the Rusted Knight just so I can survive. Though now, I owe a lot to the original guardian, if it wasn't for them. I shudder who or what I could've become.
Battle start 1: Despite the apperance, I'm tougher than you think?
Battle start 2: Now then what plan, would work on them?
Battle start 3: Which would you prefer, sword, fist, kick or a headbutt from a stampeding animal?
Battle start 4: Let's see what I can create?
Skill 1: *drinks from a cup* Thank you *hands it to a genial gem*
Skill 2: Think you can get past my shield?
Skill 3: Focus...*Quick burst of aura*
Skill 4: Gotta remember the basics.
Attack select 1: Got it
Attack select 2: Understood
Attack select: Grit your teeth
Noble phantasm select 1: As my decree of the rusted knight
Noble phantasm select 2: So shall we hear a quick tale?
Noble phantasm select 3: Looks like we reached a crucial point.
Noble phantasm select 4: A new chapter is about to begin
Extra attack 1: Go Juniper!
Extra attack 2: Get ready to fly
Extra attack 3: I'll mow you down
Extra attack 4: Now fall!
Noble phantasm 1: After all the leasons she learned, and the friends she made and lost. Who has she become? The leaves in the tress rustle on the wind. There was one question. Who are you? [Ever After]!
Noble Phantasm 2: I hope your next journey is more kind to you. [Ever After]
Noble phantasm 3: Everyone one is in place don't worry I'll patch you right up. [Aura Amp]
Noble phantasm 4: I got your back just leave the defense to me. [Aura Amp]
Damage from phantasm: I won't fall not yet!
Defeated 1: So...this is where my journey ends
Defeated 2: Finally I can rest...I leave the rest to you.
Battle finish 1: Looks like we made it.
Battle finish 2: *Sigh* that took more than I thought
Battle finish 3: Just like that job is done.
Bond lv 1: Oh is there something you need master. Or did you come to pet Juniper?
Bond lv 2: Despite me bearing this title, there was another knight in the Ever After. The best way to describe them would be...my mentor
Bond lv 3: Won't lie I feel really out of place here. There's so many heroes around...if I was my child self. I know he would ask for a autograph...or to train them.
Bond lv 4: What? Surprised I can play guitar? I'll be honest it's been so long I didn't think I could. Guess the muscle memory remained after so long
Bond lv 5: Didn't think I reached a place Ike this. I won't lie I'm surprised I was actually summoned as a servant. Trust when I say I wasn't anyone worth remembering...though most likely it was my connection to my mentor that I ever reached here. To be honest there's probably more deserving from my world that should be here...yet here I am.
Dialogue 1: Oh hello master, you mind helping me brush Juniper? Trying to get some of this loose fur.
Dialogue 2: The master servant contract. To think you manage to hold so many, I think that speaks volumes to kind of person you are.
Dialogue 3: To think I can use and mold my aura like this. The possibilities I can do...let's try test them out master.
Dialogue 4 (Child servants): Hmm what's that? You wanna ride Juniper, I don't mind and pretty sure she doesn't mind either. You guys gotta take turns though at least 2 at a time.
Dialogue 5 (Jeanne D' Arc): Hmm there's something about her...that just makes me feel odd. It doesn't help she looks like one of my sisters. Plus her name as well...an ancestor maybe. Huh? Oh uh...it's nothing.
Dialouge 6 (Jeanne Alter): Oh its...wait somethings off. Jeanne Alter? Hmm so there are servants with counterparts. Something tells me she's really caring, despite her attitude.
Dialogue 7 (Voyager): Hmm to think I meet the original Voyager servant. So far there's only 2 of us, but I think we found good company in our current classes. Seems even Juniper took a liking to you.
Dialogue 8 (Deck of heroes reference): It's strange, I swear it was my first time fighting along side them. Yet I could feel I can trust them. A lingering trust...can't be right.
Dialogue 9 (Tamamo no Mae): Hmm, Hmm huh oh Tamamo no mae right? No, it's uh, it's nothing. No, wait, what are you? HEY!?! OH ohhhhhh
Dialogue 10 (Oberon): Fairy King Oberon or Vortigern? Either way, you wouldn't be the first liar I've been around. As you're the first pretender I'll give respect, but that doesn't mean I'll fall for your lies. Dealing with a certain cat was more than enough
Dialogue 11 (Hephaestion): Pyr...no sorry about that. You reminded me of a old comrade from long ago. It's nice to meet you Hephaestion...quick question you mind a spar?
Dialogue 12 (Tlaloc): Wait you embody a city? That's pretty cool...though a part of me is worried if the Ever After takes a servant form. No wait...the blacksmith is the closest I can think of.
Dialouge 13 (Alessandro): The grand scam artist. I'm not interested in any of your tricks
Dialouge 14 (Lady Avalon): Hmm..Lady Avalon? It's a pleasure to meet you though and if you don't mind me asking...what is Avalon like?
Dialouge 15 (Mordred): Oh its you Mordred, something you need? A sparring partner...alright then.
Dialogue 16 (Atalanta or Atalanta Alter): Oh Atalanta, I believe it's my day to watch over the kids. Don't worry me and Juniper will watch them.
Dialogue 17 (Diarmuid): Seems that curse of yours is still causing you trouble? If you want I think we can seal it for a moment. Oh it seems that's that needed. I wonder how different you fight with swords
Dialogue 18 (Medusa): Hmm, think Pegasus and Juniper might get along. I think they would and it seems she likes you as well.
Dialogue 19 (Medea): I think I see why you were hesitant with me for a while. Jason is...a bit of work. Though something tells me there's more to him
Dialogue 20 (Emiya assassin): Kiritsugu...it took some time but it looks like you find some light again. Even got a family as well.
Dialogue 21 (Frankenstein): Oh hello Fran, is there something you need. Alright I don't mind you tying my hair...no full bows though.
Dialogue 22 ( Edmond Dantes or Count of MC): It's good to see you again Lord Count. I can tell despite the change of scenery your act of guardian is still strong. If you don't mind, I want to have a chat when you have the time.
Something you like: Hmm good question, beside Juniper being on this list. I do enjoy a nice meal with people and maybe be it around campfire. That is a idea though, a nice camping trip.
Something you hate: The merciless pursuit of power...getting innocent folks involved and hurt in the exploits. Another I can't forgive...is a fallen maiden, who doesn't deserve any mercy.
About the holy grail: If I was younger I would've made a wish with the Grail. Though with my experience now...there's always a cost when using such powers.
During an Event: Sounds like something big is going on. Wanna go see what's that about?
Birthday: Your birthday? Have you already told somebody it's today? Know what, follow me. I think it's time to show how fast Juniper can run.

do you have a guide for someone who wants to get into alyuri? like the stories and stuffs?
OH YOU ASKED AT THE PERFECT TIME because I literally was hoping to make a general guide about them and their stories across not just Granblue Fantasy but also their original Rage of Bahamut incarnations and their Dragalia Lost cameos because they're about to rerun the BEST ALYURI EVENT EVER on July 15 in GBF. Long post ahead!
As for where to START, I highly recommend going in with the Granblue Fantasy story (which is where I found them at first), as there is a clear continuity and story progression with dedicated setup, plot, character building, and (now that there's been plenty of events and fate episodes) some truly delicious payoff. In addition, they're fully voiced with some beautiful CGs and art, and are incredibly fun to just watch audiobook/VN style! Their voice actors breathe so much life into the story. Most of these are available to see on YT, but I can link them for good measure since this will be like, a diet resource post. I wasn't able to find the first two Light SSR Albert (I might go record them from my own game in a bit) or Summer Yurius episodes, and I don't have him in the game [screaming and crying] but the GBF wiki has full text transcripts of those.
For a reading order, it goes like this:
-Light SSR Albert Fate Episodes 1+2 (Not REQUIRED per se, but a good intro to his character)
-Eye of the Storm (Side Story) [Personally, I'd recommend to start here because it properly introduces Levin and the actual story]
-[Optional] SR Albert Fate Episodes 1+2
-Wind SSR Yurius Fate Episodes 1+2
-Light SSR Albert 5*/Lv100 Fate Episode
-[Optional, placed here because of the release chronology] Summer Albert SSR Fate Episodes 1+2
-False Heroes (Event Story, is getting rerun in a few days and is in my opinion some of the best content with them bar none, I HIGHLY recommend experiencing it yourself!!!!! GBF has an event rereading function, even if you skip through it, so long as you unlock it, you can read it later)
-Dark Albert Fate Episodes 1+2
-A Sweltering Eternal Getaway (yes, the summer event is lore relevant for several important Levin characters and important to Yurius's character arc. don't worry about it.)
-[Optional] Summer Yurius SSR Fate Episodes 1+2
-[Bonus!] Here's some crumbs of an official "Bad Ending" from the ...And You event.
Now, going onto Dragalia Lost, the easiest and fastest one to actually go through, which is ironic since the game itself has long since EoS'd. It's super simple--watch Albert's Adventurer Story, then Yurius's. That's pretty much it. I really like their Dragalia Story even though it's short, since it's a fun mix of their love-hate relationship in RoB combined with the sort of care and closeness of the GBF story. There's a few character crumbs here and there in their voice lines and Wyrmprints (available on the DL wiki of course), but nothing MAJOR unless you want to go digging. The DL fanbase did a good job of archiving the game though, so if you want to see the smaller bits, they're all out there.
Now, by far the most obtuse (from an English speaking standpoint) for the least amount of reward is the Rage of Bahamut story. RoB is not accessible in English, but a few dedicated fans have compiled story summaries of all that happens. Here's a golden Twitter thread of a lot of their plot-relevant and side content in the game. They've also provided some translations and videos for some of the voiced content in RoB too! Here's a link for some of the 4komas that some fans took care of as well. Their relationship in RoB is very silly, as they never really...make up? They stay frenemies as opposed to other stories where they reconcile their pasts. Each card in RoB also contains some flavor text for the characters they feature, and a few of those are covered in the thread. The other cards are out there, but they are in Japanese, but if you're interested I could see if I could compile a quick list of the flavor texts with real rough translations. It's mostly some flavor though, not incredibly important plot-wise unless you're hungry for more of the way their RoB relationship is written.
As a small aside about RoB--it's the first incarnation of these characters, and it's ... on the older side. I think it's perfectly fair to say that originally, Yurius was something of a homosexual caricature played often as a joke, and I think it's important to understand that when looking at the older content. The newer content, however, has come quite a long way, and as someone whose been following the way Cygames has been developing their relationship for half a decade at this point, I think it's certainly improved just overall.
Well. That should be enough content to at least get that ball rolling and keep ya busy. If for some reason you get through all this and want some more crumbs or fanworks, let me know! I have many a fic/doujinshi recommendation as well :] Here's some cute official art for making it this far and forcing me to write this mini guide in prep for the False Heroes rerun !

Awful Characters Round 1 Part 1 (6/8)
Propaganda under the cut!
DIO BRANDO
why i like him: he’s evil, he’s funny, he’s a vampire, he’s a dick for no reason, he’s British, he’s bisexual, he stops time, and everything bad that happens in the series is his fault why he deserves to be in: LITERALLY kicks puppies, that’s his THING. Ruins adoptive brother’s life just because he’s Mean and Evil. Kills people. Kills animals. Does weird horrible things to people for literally no reason. Turns people into zombies. Kisses women without their consent. Brainwashes people. Seduces lovers and sucks their blood while a weird old lady watches in the corner. Ruins generations of lives even after his ass is dead. can you be cancelled by twitter users: yes absolutely
BELIAL
Belial is the primal beast/angel of cunning, and one of the main antagonist of the side story "What makes the sky blue". He's the very first primal in existence and had a profound romantic and sexual devotion for his creator, Lucilius. So profound that he commited all sort of crimes to get Lucilius's love and approval, and only got worse in worse when Lucilius only showed distate for him. Mind you those were crimes Lucilius wanted him to do, but Belial was just never enough compared to the second primal beast, Lucifer, the angel overseeing Evolution. List of crimes includes: -Provoked like 3 attempted apocalypses -Organized a group of rebel fallen angels in order to make them Lucilius's experiments subjects later, torturing all of them for thousand of years. -When Lucilius was beheaded by Lucifer, Belial vowed to bring Lucilius back to life…. By organizing Lucifer's murder and beheading him in order to use Lucifer's corpse to sew Lucilius's head on it -Also managed to blame Lucifer's boyfriend for Lucifer's death because "well it's your fault he died since he was trying to protect you so he wasn't fighting at his full strength :/" -He is also extremely sexual and is constantly talking about wanting to orgasm on the spot, or engage in sexual intercourses with anyone he encounters -Also the type of person who kills his one night stands after he's done with them. -Calls torturing people for fun just himself indulging in his SM side. -He's spoken a lot about his goal to Fuck Lucifer's Corpse, in front of Lucifer's boyfriend. -Also is constantly doing sexual remarks to said boyfriend. -He's torn the wings of the one person who was still loyal to him (technically to save his life but he lied that he was doing it just to torture him) -Also he lies all the time and backstabbed everyone we ever see him make plans with -Guilttripped the protagonist by faking his suicide -Helped the protagonist at the last hour during their fight against Lucilius in order to be locked into an interdimensional prison for all of eternity with the man who hates his guts, out of love for him, while the guy couldn't think of a worst way to spend eternity. -But by helping us i mean "gave us a ship, and then we learnt that he left a bomb on that ship, nearly killing us" -Has been appearing in MC's dreams regularly to manipulate them into embracing a magic that will make MC his puppet -Managed to mind control MC for long enough to have MC try to kill their soulmate. -In the spin off fighting game he mind controlled a lot of people in the same way to make them his puppets and force them to try to kill their loved ones. -He's described in the game as "Just, The Worst". -Has this for theme song and we're supposed to think it's normal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2MHUJTciRg Personally i like him a lot because there's Layers to his depravity, mainly also that the horny feels a lot like an act some of the time, and that he's ultimately a man with intense inferiority complex and self destructive because he wants the love of his uncaring creator at all cost.
He's fairly popular in the fanbase but i've somewhat also seen a LOT of takes about how you're a bad person if you stan him. Mainly i've once seen a call out post saying all fans of Granblue Fantasy are bad because "Belial is a pedophile" quickly followed by "but i never played granblue". Like. The dude's a canon necrophile why did you need to add a crime he didn't commit on the list. (pretty sure it was on the list since he's an immortal guy who's two thousands years old who flirts with mortal people so there is Always An Age Gap but didn't he commit worse than that by now.) I've also seen some people hate him for how clingy he is to Lucilius and how he's earned all the abuse he recieves from his creator, but i don't know if those groups sweeped as low as to call his fans bad for it lmao. Oh right and once he was trending on Twitter and a lot of catholic people started to cause an outrage because "how could the youth worship the demon Belial by making him an anime boy, you're all going to hell", it was fun! There's a lot more problematic characters in the franchise that would honestly fit more to this prompt, but Belial is the only one who's popular enough to have people, even outside of the Granblue fanbase, make judgement on people who like him because he's Terrible.
pollrunner's note: belial's propaganda was all from one person and is supposed to be one big quote block but tumblr didn't like that so I had to split it up a little bit

Hubris Bracket Side A Poll 9: Javert (Les Miserables) vs Lucilius (Granblue Fantasy)
Propaganda below (may contain spoilers):
Javert
(this image is from the movie, but there was no version specified, so it could be the book/stage musical versions as well)
My man was born in the French prison system and his exposure to that system and the people inside it led him to believe that the law is a moral imperative. He becomes a police officer with an incredibly ruthless sense of justice. He doggedly trails Jean Valjean (whose only crimes were stealing bread -breaking a window to do so- in order to feed his sister's starving children as they were all destitute, and trying to escape prison, which extended his sentence from 5 years to 19. He does this because he firmly believes that redemption doesn't exist. At the end of the story he has Jean Valjean cornered in the sewer and is convinced to let him go in order to allow the life of a young man (Marius) to be saved. Jean Valjean even goes so far as to give Javert his home address to that the police officer can come and arrest him in the morning. However Javert is thrown into a crisis of both faith and identity and that drives him to dispare, he takes his own life that night by leaping from a bridge after coming to the conclusion that he was in the wrong, after all those decades of chasing and locking up 'scum' 'from the gutter'.
Lucilius
Literally tried to destroy the world to piss off god
Lucilius is the clone to a Speaker of the God of Rebirth and Destruction, Bahamut. He's been plagued by dreams of a life he didn't live because of that, and interpreted it as "God is making fun of me in particular. well if he's so funny, i'm going to be hilarious" and he basically came up with various world ending plans in order to climb the Tower of God, and dethrone him, and destroy the whole world into the void. To do so he creates creatures he ends up neglecting and torturing in a way i think, ironically, makes him very similar to the God he hates so much. He even makes himself a clone that is the "perfect version" of himself, whom he calls Lucifer. Lucilius gets beheaded by said clone, but gets brought back to life by Belial, another one of his creation who loves him despite the fact Lucilius hates him. To bring him back, Belial beheaded Lucifer, and sewed Lucilius's head over the corpse of his original killer. With this amount of power, he takes down the Speaker he's the clone of and almost manages to reach his goal before one of his creation, Sandalphon, whom he wrote off as being completely useless and that he had almost discarded if not for the fact Lucifer cared for him, manages to take him down, thanks to powers Lucifer had passed down to him before dying, and Lucifer watching over him. Lucilius is currently locked into an interdimensional prison with Belial, thanks to the Speaker's last attempt at using his powers for good (the Speaker, Lucio, is okay now). His Hubris was to take down God for making his life a joke but in so, he mistreated his creations. He was taken down twice, by his most loved creation, and by the one he found the most useless. A wannabe God, resentful of God, meeting his end because his own creations resented him enough to end him the same way he wanted to end God. What's not Hubris about it. His boss battle, Zero, is the ultimate propaganda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hr08k6Y4wbo the vocals start at 3:15 and it says it all. "Give praise, for he has no equal. Worship him. A God has been born unto the world."

Hi there! I'm Kotone, you can also call me Koto.
♢ She/her, Aro-ace, 20+ (late twenties), Vietnamese-Chinese American (but I closely relate to my Vietnamese heritage!)
This is my art blog, I don't really post on my main tumblr, but if you see a response from @phantasmic-pianist... that's me!
Where else do I post?
Twitter (active only for art posting) Bluesky (trying to be more active)
Can I request something?
Of course! But please note, I may be VERY slow. If you do want to ask me a request, feel free to! Please be in one of these fandoms though:
Rhythmstar, Touhou project, AFK arena, Disgaea, Granblue fantasy, Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons/Rune Factory, Tokusatsu (I've watched a good deal but am open to drawing ones even if I haven't watched it!), Alchemia Story, Show by Rock!! (Sb69), my ocs (lol).
I draw females the best, but I'm trying my best to draw males more often too.
Can I use your art as an icon/banner?
Sure! If it's fanart, please credit me as Faerlumie.
Please don't use art of my ocs or other people's ocs as your icon/banner.
Do you do commissions?
I have them open on Vgen currently. I'm honestly open to doing anything as long as it isn't like hateful language, racism, xenophobia, etc. along those lines.
What program do you use?
For simple animations, Clip Studio Paint. However, 99% of my art is done on SAI2, as I went back to it because I felt more comfortable with it. I'm not used to Clip Studio's pressure settings ^q^;; and I like my blending tools on SAI2
Would you do an art trade with me?
Depends! I like drawing for others in general, so feel free to ask and I'll get back to you.
What does 'Whimsy Art Love' mean?
Your guess is as good as mine. Just kidding, I was just hashing words I like together like a word salad, so I used it, and now I can't not use it.
Side note
I'm actually very shy around new people. I do read notes, and I always appreciate a kind comment or someone who pops up often in my notes.
Don't be shy to ask me questions!

First Impression of Reverse: 1999 from a Long Time Gacha Games Player
Hello! Today I'll tell you my first impression about a new gacha game that just release it's global version not too long ago, "Reverse:1999". I preregistered this game and mind you, I actually had zero intention to add more gacha games into my sleeves especially the turn-based ones, but the art... The ART man!! It caught my attention soo let's dig in!
Before we start I'd like the readers (you) to know that I've been playing gacha games daily for a considered long time, since 2017 and still going on today. Although not a lot of them so here are some that I've played for over 3 months (pretty much understand the overall system):
Fate/Grand Order, Arknights, Genshin Impact, Honkai/Star Rail
Bold are my main daily games. And then here are some that I've tried, well at least I know their UI & prologue lol:
SAO MD (discontinued), Food Fantasy, Granblue Fantasy, Punishing/Gray Raven, Tower of Fantasy
I might bring up some titles to compare and most likely from between the "over 3 months" ones. Then, let's start!
What's the big deal of "gacha game" and why I play them?
I like to draw and gacha games have one of the best community for art clout. No this is serious, and one of my top reason of why I'm playing this borderline gambling type of game.
Gacha games are living from their banner rotation. The second ones are new characters and story reveal that updated regularly... Don't you think these are real good timings for posting?? They also got those art gods that somehow helped the promotion and attract the peasants (me included) to get to know the story and make fanarts too. I'm not kidding. This is why I've been here since I started digital art. Lol.
But every actions need consequences. Gacha games are very high maintenance to stay relevant, from the player's side. You missing one update, you'll feel like an old man. This is the most FOMO (fear of missing out) type of game. The main sacrifice is TIME. So many things need to tend in one game, and if you play multiple it means you have to spare some hours in a day. If you can't, get ready to lose something. Why I don't say money? Because I'm pretty much f2p, I never really spent my money for gacha. But time, time bro. Time also money! This is also why I write this post.
The Premise of Reverse: 1999
The early story kind of reminds me to Persona 3 where there are some special times (Dark Hours in P3) where an ordinary human can't survive and there are some special creatures than survived.
In R:1999 the special time is called "storm" which will turn back time further from your original time. For example, MC is from 1999 but she's sent to 1920s thanks to the storm. So they made a foundation or something to get back to the original time. Well in a sense this is kinda similar to FGO (Fate/Grand Order)'s Chaldea, maybe that's why I'm so driven to try this game lol. The name of those "special creatures" are arcanists.
Actually I don't really understand everything yet, but at least that's the glimpse I got. Also they tried to fix the history or something whenever they're getting sent back so, basically a fancier FGO right?? I have no problem though.
Setting
The game's mainly set in the west in 20th century. I think this is the main perks of the game, because the entire design and aesthetic revolves around this so it can differ greatly from most gacha games that either have fantasy RPG setting or urban post/apocalyptic ones. Personally I really like this.
The Main Character
The MC is such a breath of fresh air!! It's a woman, and people called her "Vertin". So no, not your typical self-insert anime degenerate persona like most gacha games. Here is a very beautiful EP of her:
youtube
The Characters
The characters are pretty unique imo, you can play as inanimate object (visually) like apple and satellites. The arcanists are the playable (and summonable) characters. So expect to see various 20th century-themed designs.
Also the designs are dope!! They're unlike most gacha games' characters designs where they wore something weird that will awaken your darkest corner of brain but here they're just dressed NORMALLY LIKE A NORMAL FANCY PERSON I'm so glad. Normal doesn't mean boring, this is a compliment. Even the "fanserviced" ones are still pretty tasteful than just put random windows everywhere.
Summoning
This game has a carry-over pity on 70th roll, soft pity started like in the 60th. They use the same gacha currency on both permanent and limited banners. There's 50/50 like in Mihoyo games. You need 180 clear drops (?) to turn them into one rabbit statue (?) for a summon. I think this one is very similar with Arknights. Personally in my opinion this is very generous and reasonable, but I'm a FGO player so yeah my "generous" standard may differ greatly with a lot of people lol.
Oh you also can get guaranteed *6 from beginner's summoning banner.
(Early) Gameplay & Progression
The gameplay is like FGO with extra steps. Or FGO with fewer steps... Anyway, it's a card game. Each character has cards you can choose per turn. Once the "stars" are filled you can unleash the ultimate. Honestly? A little boring lol, but things may change once I get out early-game phase. People said this is very similar to 7 Deadly Sins game but I never get close to the IP so idk.
You can set which enemy to hit per card unlike FGO where it's done per turn. Personally I think this is neat. Although among the games I've tried I think Honkai/Star Rail still superior for turn-based system since they can control the speed and whatsoever. However this kind of "fixed" system also nice since you don't need to farm artifacts/relics to be playable.
The early stages are so easy. Well, most games have very easy early stages though, unless a certain popular furry tower defense game (*cough* Arknights *cough*).
For character progression pretty much just level up, no need for artifacts/relics like Mihoyo games so it's fast and easy.
You can set a "replay" for autofarming once you get 2 stars achievement on the node. You can also choose the "amount" of drop rate for just one battle. This is very neat!
Dailies, Weeklies, etc
R:1999 has similar progression with Arknights and Mihoyo games with this one. The daily and weekly tasks literally like Arknight's.
Tbh their dailies are quite a hassle lol, you need at least spend 5-15 minutes to clear all.
And their "battlepass", looks like Genshin's battlepass or HSR's Nameless Honor
Gotta admit between ALL the games I've played, nothing beats the simple daily of LOGIN in FGO (in exchange with disastrous gacha and tremendous farming🙏).
UI & Visual
Maybe I should've put this a little earlier lol.
The UI is AMAZING!! One of the best. Really (once again) reminds me of Arknights, since I like their UI too, and even better I think especially their retro aesthetic.
The visual is GORGEOUS. The game is presented in common gacha game storytelling method: visual novel, however they tried to incorporate like L2D animation in the STORY'S VISUAL.
The characters have different art styles, I think done by different artists like most gacha games (the only one who didn't do this are Mihoyo games, please explain). And the sprites are full body non-chibi 2d animations! This one's like FGO, although still like 10% chibified so in terms of sprite style, FGO still has the crown.
Music & other sounds
Music is BANGER!
I rate it 4.5/5. Maybe the 2nd music of gacha games that I like after Genshin. It doesn't sound like basic visual novel ost (looking at you FGO and HSR) in most part, tho since this is basically *still* visual novel, so in some part still sounds pretty stale after you heard it so many times.
The voice over is dope! They used various accents, so it's pretty interesting!
Housing/Dorm
The name of housing/dorm in R:1999 is "Wilderness", something like islands. This is once again reminds me to Arknight's "Base" but outdoor.
End game
Honestly I haven't found the endgame content for this one, if you're looking for challenges maybe games like Arknights and HSR still better choice.
Conclusion
Based on every gacha games I've played, I can say progression, UI, and summoning from Reverse:1999 is similar to Arknights, but turn-based and A LOT easier at the start. If you've played Arknights before I think understanding the system will like walk in the park.
For the story it's somewhat like FGO, of course not the same, but still both are "correcting the history and go back to our time" kind of story.
The game doesn't ask much, so I think if you're a gacha game player and barely have any time for more games, this one's still enjoyable with very minimal investment. Suitable as your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th gacha games. Especially when you're just want to vibe with the art and setting like me.
If you're new in gacha game, there's no problem with trying out this, but I think the game is made with thought that the target market are people that familiar with gacha games. Still, enjoy your time!
Tl;dr if you still want to play your main games daily while join the Reverse:1999 bandwagon, it's totally possible without sacrificing much of your time.

hey!! sorry if this is a tough question to answer (pls ignore it in that case), but if I really really loved relink's world, specially the characters and their stories found in the fate episodes, do you think it's a good idea to check out the mobage? or would it be better to watch the anime instead?
thank you in advance, I hope you've been doing well!
Aaah heyy <33
First of all, welcome in Granblue Fantasy! i'm so glad you enjoyed Relink as much as you did <33333 Granblue is a very special game for me and Relink really was a wonderful adaptation of it all, and i'm so thrilled that new people can get to discover Granblue thanks to it!
As for me, i've never watched the anime and i have been playing the mobage since 2019, still going strong now 💪 so as you can imagine, i would recommand the mobage more personally.
it depends however if you are comfortable with Visual Novels, since the main game is pretty much a Visual Novel with Turn-by-turn RPG mechanisms!
The anime has two seasons and cover the very begining of the main story, before doing its own thing, taking inspiration from the game but not straight up adapting it. I'd say, it's a good experience if you want to discover a bit more about the world. That said you'll only see in it the characters from the Main Plot of Relink (MC, Lyria, Vyrn, Katalina, Rackam, Eugen, Rosetta, Io, i call them the Core Crew personally), and it won't go as in deep into them as the mobage does. I think Zeta makes a small appearance in the anime, possibly Ferry too? but that will be about it.
but if you want to really know the characters, do feel free to play the Mobage.
it's actually a browser game that is optimized for chronium browsers. You can play it here:
(on the homepage you'll be able to switch to English and tadaa. after the prologue they'll ask you to bind your account, i recommand you make a Mobage account to connect to Granblue. The wiki can give you a step by step way to do it)
Most of the stories of the game are easily available as you progress through the main story. you don't need to get really deep into the gameplay (unless you want to) to really access to most of the story.
There are stories that are locked in Fate Episodes, which comes from units you get from Gacha most of the time. Those can give you a pretty good glance into granblue in general.
The Main Story Quest (MSQ) will introduce you to the Core Crew and will give you free units of them all. It's in the MSQ that you'll also meet Ferry, from the extended character list.
Once you progress into the MSQ, you'll unlock the Side Stories. those are basically parallels story of when the crew stops on others islands, not related to their search for Estalucia. It's in this tab that you will meet the rest of the cast.
For example, to meet Lancelot, Vane, Siegfried and Percival, you need to read up to chapter 16 of the Main Story, and the story "Defender's Oath" will unlock This was their first appearances. They have a lot of stories since they have a guaranted story event every year. In doubt if you want to find some reading list, the wiki is your friend, or you can also ask me, i'm happy to help!
For information, the side stories first start out as limited event stories. There is one new one every months on the mobage. Once the event is over, it will disappear from the game, unless you read through it (or skipped it) so it was saved in Lyria's journal for you to come back to whenever you want; Eventually, it will get a rerun (there's usually a rerun once a month or once every two months), and then down the line it will get added to the side stories.
so it means that there are some stories you won't find in the side story tab.
THAT SAID.
If all of this is complicated on its own, or you don't want to play the game but still read on the story, or if you don't want to get invested in the gacha to get the fate episodes: know that about all of the content of the game is available on youtube, and the script of each of them is also available on the wiki.
The game may be a little confusing to know what to read.
The wiki can help, but it's also confusing when you don't know what to look for.
at any rate, know that my inbox is always opened if you have questions, if you want to look for tips, for stories to read, for links, anything you may want. I'm always happy to help.
I think you can always watch the anime and it'll give you a little clearer of an idea of what those characters are, but if you want to KNOW them, the mobage is totally the way.
As a little warning, the writing improved a lot during the decade the game ran, and early content tends to be a little more simplistic or shorter. So if you don't get grabbed in right away, do consider that the further you'll go, the better the stories.
The valentine's day campain will be ongoing soon, so if you want to give vday chocolates to Katalina or Rackam or Rosetta, you can start the game and discover that for yourself ;D
The 10th anniversary event will also be underway in a couple of weeks, which will normally come with free pulls and rewards, which makes it a good season to start the game to get some footing, if you feel like it.
Hope it helps a little, i'm opened for any clarification!
and once again i'm so happy Relink made you this invested into this world <3333
Take care!

Writing Commissions 🔛🔝
I want to write more, but I lost all the outlines that I created in the past two years, in which most of them I had started their drafts. Naturally, my morale tanked, but I don’t want for that to stop me on the path to consistency. So I’m opening commissions, yippe!
Pricing $0.02/word; 500 words minimum. (500=$10, 1000=$20, 1500=$30, 2000=$40, etc.)
Type SFW and NSFW Pairings written in Second/Third Person. Most flexible with F(Reader)/M and F(Reader)/F. Open to OC/Canon. Least flexible with Male Reader/Focus and Genderfluid/Non-binary Reader/Focus. I don’t do Canon/Canon or M/M.
Series If they’re not present then it’s more than likely because I’d write a character from the series as opposed to anything from the series (i.e. Raging Loop, 91 Days, Mononoke) so just ask about a character if their series isn’t present.
Gacha Games
Fate/Grand Order
Genshin Impact
Honkai Star Rail
Langrisser (My ability to do the request depends on me having the character due to a lack of online material and the inability to backread)
Granblue Fantasy (I like enough of the cast to speedrun side stories to understand plot references/setting)
Arknights (I don’t play the game but I have two friends that do and I don’t mind annoying them about context. NGL it’s here because I pray for a Chongyue request-)
Fire Emblem Heroes (I can’t do anything story specific because I never read it)
Video Games
Fire Emblem (Awakening, Fates, knowledgeable about Sacred Stones and Engage)
King of Fighters
Anime/Manga
Jujutsu Kaisen (Anime)
Chainsaw Man (Manga - Part One)
Jigokuraku (Manga)
Record of Ragnarok (Manga)
Black Lagoon (Anime)
Baccano (Anime, Light Novels – 1-5)
Considerations
Communication. I have a computer science background, so I take everything literally and my mind blanks at “idk, do whatever you want”.
My Writing Approach. People talk a lot in my stories and though I do it to showcase dynamics, I also do it to pace myself. To prevent overlap and incoherency, I significantly limit my reliance on exposition. I rarely start my stories with it, and I will more than likely write in media res if the requested word cap is on the shorter side.
Expressing Limitations. No does not mean that the idea is bad or that you should be ashamed, but that I don’t feel confident in being able to properly execute it.
Hard Limitations. If it’s an idea that would be concocted by someone that is on Jeffery Epstein’s flight list, then please don’t request. If it’s an idea that would be concocted by someone who wouldn’t mind posting it on Live Leaks, then please don’t request. If it’s an idea that would be concocted by someone who would wave around a confederate flag, then please don’t request. If it’s an idea that would be concocted by a dark humor connoisseur, then please don’t request. I’m also very big on boundaries and trust, so please don’t request ideas with the following elements:
Rape/Non-Con
Drugging
Kidnapping
Payment ko-fi.com/zhiro
Delivery PDF in 12 pt Times New Roman. I’ll post (via ao3) if requested.
Process Please do not request for a commission if you’re uncomfortable with sending money before receiving the commission. Only send the payment once I confirm that I will be writing the commission; I will refund otherwise. It takes 1-3 months for me to finish works, and I’ll do my best in sending a progress report/the premise seven days after confirmation. My drafts are pretty messy, so I won’t be showing them, but I’ll give updates throughout. Please do not request for a commission if you’re dubious about the process.
References archiveofourown.org/users/zhiro/pseuds/Araceli%20Selkie
If any of the above changes, I’ll post the update and edit this post. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Please consider commissioning me, I like to think I’m decent enough.

well, i did it! i finished the main story for granblue fantasy: relink :) junk thoughts below (with spoilers)!
first, the things i liked!
the gameplay. i love love love how dynamic and fast-paced it is! i'm boring and my main character throughout the entire playthrough was djeeta: i tried playing as katalina but idk lol i think i was just too used to djeeta to fully switch to her. plus i think her CPU does a much better job of playing as her. when i played as io during one of her sidequests was also pretty fun but i just had to stick with djeeta! leveling up her Artes and then going ham on enemies with them all leveled up never got old. also doing link attacks and skybound arts is soooo satisfying, especially when it would deal the final blow to a boss! i have to admit at first it took me a while to get the hang of it, especially dodging/blocking enemy attacks and i kept going into critical condition or whatever, but once i got better at it, doing quests and fighting bosses was something i would really look forward to.
the bosses. ok i gotta say, granblue fantasy:relink has some of the best boss fights in a video game i've ever played. i mentioned it in my previous posts but i swear almost each boss had a different interesting gimmick instead of it just being "keep attacking until it's dead". i think my favorites were excavillion, when you fight the machines using rolan, fighting as bahamut, and of course the final battle where you're trying to rescue Id. like the boss battles were just so insane and a lot of stuff would be happening at once especially when they'd go into overdrive, but running around jumping trying to evade their attacks, although intense, is part of the fun of these battles!! idk i'm just really impressed with how dynamic these boss battles were and just gotta say hats off to the team that designed them, just super fun and satisfying to play through.
main character selection. ok as someone completely new to the series and not having looked up anything about this game beforehand other than what i saw in the official trailer shown in one of the state of plays, i had no idea you could choose the gender of the main character, so this was a pleasant surprise! i mean, other than her atrocious first outfit before you get to chapter 4 or whatever it is when you get your real armor, it's cool that you can just decide what gender your character is cus i mean, it doesn't really affect the story in any way so at least i'm not stuck with the default silent male protagonist :P
the music. coming from having played the last few entries of the tales of games, it was definitely great to hear some music that actually makes me feel something and isn't just background noise. i'll have to give the full OST a proper listen without me being distracted with a fight, but yeah for sure looking forward to reliving the experience with the music! edit: ok now that i'm listening to the OST with headphones on i can honestly say this is one of the best video game soundtracks i've ever heard in a game. like, i knew it was good and i knew there were some bangers in there but my god i just wasn't paying enough attention to it because i was too focused on the battles. like yeah the folca theme and the first forest section you entered i remembered being so good but like. excavillion primal III. managarmr primal II. seedhollow castle battle. ruined city vallion battle. and i'm not even done yet. what the hell what the hell the OST alone is enough to make this into a fantastic game holy shit.
post-ending content?? ok i only did the first quest as Id but i thought it was cool that, although the main story only took me 19 hours to complete, it looks like there is a LOT left to do as part of picking up where rolan left off + new quests?? plus i still need to finish the side chapters for the characters i'm interested in, so yeah, even though i finished the main story, there's still much to do!
rolan. what a cool chill dude. i mentioned in my post that i thought it was really neat how he turned out to be one of the most powerful characters in the game (i thought he was going to betray us or something), and was so sad when he first "dissolves" when fighting angra. i thought it was Id who was going to be sacrificed at the end but, glad that Id joins the party even if that means that rolan is now...floating in between dimensions or whatever. but don't worry, we will save you, mr fix it dude!
the story. again, as someone completely new to the series, i think the game did a pretty good job at catching you up with what happened in the previous game and giving you the background story of each of the crew members that are already there. and even so, the main story that develops throughout the game was interesting enough to keep me hooked. i mean it's nothing out of this world like i'm used to with other JRPGs i've played: there wasn't really any character development other than Id and MAYBE Rolan (Zathba also?? idk), since the crew that you're traveling have already traveled together in the previous game so they all know each other and whatever development had to happen happened in the first game (from what I understand), so i mean, i guess that was also different but can't complain too much since it looks like this game was born from a mobile game.
ok just something i thought was cool was in the final battles where your former enemies (i forget their names...it's the sword lady and the huge dude) join you in the fight and THEN zathba + other people you helped along the way bring their ships and help you against angra...like...damn, that shit was cool! another instance of these boss battle keeping it interesting!!
and now....for the things i didn't particularly like + other misc. thoughts.
the character side chapters. ok i think the first two or so of each starting character are great for catching up us newcomers, but then after that....idk, i wasn't really interested in the story that they'd be trying to tell. like, i know i'm not done with all of the chapters for any of the characters, so my mind might still change, but so far, not really impressed lol. they aren't really engaging enough for me yet and can...actually be quite boring with the storytelling! but oh well, we'll see if my mind changes once i'm done with the starting characters quests!
the overworld. i can't say i really missed having an overworld that would connect all of the levels. thinking back, most of the overworlds of other JRPGs i've played are quite boring to traverse through and the only reason you go through them is for treasure or finding new armor, which here in granblue you get them through quests. so, while not having an overworld is not something i'm used to, i'd say for this game it was fine not to have it.
the town sidequests. i mean, they're your typical fetch sidequests/defeat X monsters which don't really involve any interesting engagement with the NPCs that are requesting your help, so i'm a bit disappointed that that's all these sidequests are instead of something a bit more appealing.
the characters talking during boss fights. A LOT. like, i decided to play it in japanese and man, sometimes it'd be hard to keep up with what they were saying + paying attention to what's going on in the battlefield. especially in the last battle lol rolan was going on and on about...idk SOMETHING and i'm out here trying to stop Versa from fucking destroying the world haha. i mean just a minor nitpick but yeah
ok this is getting longer than i thought it would lol but despite the few negatives there at the end, i gotta say, i'm now a fan! i DOUBT i'll play the first granblue since...it looks like it's a turn-based game and i am terrible at those, but i'm really looking forward to where the series goes from here! i'm glad i decided to pick this up and kinda regret not getting the deluxe edition lol but oh well! there's always next time! :) but heck yeah, just overall had a pretty damn good time and can't wait to do more quests!

I'm really enjoying Granblue Fantasy Relink so far, the story is interesting and there's a lot of side content to sink into, and i appreciate, as someone who has never been good at button combos and QTEs, that the game offers modes that handle the combos and QTEs for you and you only have to hit a single button (or a full auto mode where all you have to do is control where the character is going and the game handles the fighting) - i know I'd probably get pretty frustrated with that and i don't play games to get endlessly stressed and pissed off so having those features helps a ton with my enjoyment

Granblue Fantasy Versus -Rising- Most Wanted Characters
Granblue Fantasy is a gacha game series published by Cygames, it had a fairly successful fighting game published by Arc System Works and now that game is getting a sequel. The series has a ton of characters would work perfectly as a fighting game character. The characters are original, flashy, and overall pretty fun. While Gacha's are just casinos in our pocket meant to fuck us over by getting us emotionally attached to a character, even I am only human and ya know enjoy GBF. So I wanted to go over the characters I want in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising most because well, any time they make a video game about these characters it's better then spending time playing the Casino game.
This list isn't in order, just 10 of my most wanted characters explaining a bit about who they are, why I like them and why I think they could be fun in a fighting game.
Silva
Silva feels like she would be the ultimate zoner. Her skills with the gun are on par with her girlfriend Song's skills with the bow and she is said to be one of the most powerful people in the whole world. She's a plucky adventure, she is popular, she has a full family of characters who could make cameos in her move sets and supers. I think she could work similarly to a character like Happy Chaos but with a much more down to earth flare then the wildness he brings to the table.
Lunalu
I think realistic Lunalu's chances are the lowest on this list but I think she would be so funny and if they are gonna put out a new joke character I think she would be the coolest character to use. Her ultimate could have her turn each individual character into a drawing for one of her romance manga's serving up exciting and well loved moments like Faust gives to Guilty Gear. Playstyle wise she could be a character who needs to gather resources to prepare to fight then unleash her fantasy form to fight like a top tier but only after spending some time as the worst character in the game. I really just think this manga artist is so good and she is like the only Harvin I really really like.
Ange
I mean any of the sapphic characters not already on this list or in the game could be in this slot but I just thin Ange deserves more love. Her fancy dual blades yet fencer fighting style could make for a very fun Mid Range style maybe with a tip mechanic like Marth from Smash Bros want to hit the foe at the right spot of your weapon to deal extra damage. Her whole thing in the game series is that she was to impress girls and be a dazzling prince for a princess. So I imagine there would be a fun flashy flare to every single attack like a rose petal effect.
Gold Knight aka Alliah
While main story characters are represented to some extent, these are mostly early story characters. Gold Knight has the honor of being a main baddy of the second arc and also being extremally important to the current arc. Gold Knight is extremal powerful and her ability to copy buffs, debuffs and do double supers really gives her such a wide range to pull from. She could be like a Seth from Street Fighter stealing some moves from other characters either in the game or not in it or she could be like a heavier argo character.
Makura
Makura is one of the Zodiacs, the most recent one representing the year of the rabbit. If I ever saw a rush down character, it be her, she looks utterly perfect for a hyper agro play style dashing in maybe having her rabbit friends provide her with ways of getting in against zoning.
[Note I wrote this before the new zodiac character was announced, I think she is a great choice for the game, sheep woulda been like my 3rd pick but a very strong 3rd.]
Apollina aka Black Knight and Orchid
Black Knight was basically the main direct Villain of the first arc of Granblue Fantasy, the Darth Vader to the actual main baddies Emperor. Orchid is always by her side and both characters are intertwined in such a way that I think it's better to do them together then apart. I think BK and Orchid could easily be a sort of "puppet" fighter with Orchid and Black Knight fighting together on the battlefield, Orchid setting up defensive options while BK is the offensive hand. Proper positioning of both units being needed to fully use the character.
Fediel
Fediel is the dark Advent Dragon and is one of the most popular characters in Granblue Fantasy. She was released after the polling for rising so who knows what that means for her chance to get in, they clearly preplanned a lot about the Advent Dragon Story, it's very possible they talked to Arcsys and knew they stuck gold handing them the character. Regardless she should get in. She has cool zombie dragon powers, she would play unlike most other characters could with only a few other characters having comparable skills. I think she would be an interesting status fighter using status's to move forward an advantage.
Meg
The queen of Summer, Meg is one of the most fun characters the team at Cygames has ever written. I think she would be an amazing mix of joke character and serious character in a way that so few other characters can really bring to the table. She is serious and badass in battle but she fighters with a shark for a hand and is kinda a silly goofy girl. She would have funny little intro lines about getting ready for another great summer only to go all killer mode during battle. It be amazing, fantastic, stupendous even. I think meg is a hyper close range rushdown type. I think she would have the closest range in the game but higher combo potential as a reward. Getting in is hard but if you get in you can touch of death way easier.
Nier
The Evokers have plenty of great candidates for a character and I would be happy with a lot of them but Nier for my money is maybe the most fun. She is a perfect candidate to play like phoenix from UMVC3. She could have a reviving from the dead mechanic that puts her into a wildly powerful mode but also have the smallest health bar, smallest defenses. It's easy for weak characters to touch of death her and out of rezed mode she would not be particularly strong but in rezed mode she would have the most damage and most speed in the game.
Tikoh
Tikoh is two souls in one body, a young girl who was fused into her and herself. The pair dealt with a shocking horrifying event for the general tone of the gacha and the plural vibes plus general personality of these two really drew me in. Tikoh is the coolest healer character they've ever made and I think they can really represent healers in a fun way by using Tikoh as a more aggressive but more sustainable fighter. Perhaps she can switch between modes like in GBF where in one mode she deals way less damage but her bar is constantly healing meaning if you can't get in your fucked and then having a damaging mode where she doesn't heal but trades that for fighting like a normal character.
